Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to your October social media spotlight. I'm Mark Nolan
and thanks to ODC and Lanson at Mad Blackcat dot com,
we have the October social Media Suggestions for businesses. A
spooky season. Month is bursting with opportunities to connect with
your audience in creative ways. At first, it has to

(00:20):
be Halloween and on the thirty first, it is one
of the most playful dates of the year, and whether
you dress up your staff, create pumpkin theme displays, or
encourage customers to share their costumes, there is endless room
for fun. Second World Food Day on the sixteenth. It
is a global event but resonates strongly across Europe. Why

(00:42):
not share a quick recipe, reel, highlight local dishes, or
invite your followers to showcase their favorite food moments with
your product. Third Autumn vibes. Throughout October, people lean into
cozy seasonal content. Flat lays with leaves and scarves, steaming
mugs and warm colours can frame your product beautifully. Invite

(01:04):
your audience to share their own cozy moments featuring your brand. Finally,
the clocks change on the twenty seventh across Spain, the
UK and much of Europe. It is a chance to
post playful content about gaining an extra hour. A clever graphic,
a short skit, or even a one day promotion could
really stand out. And as a bonus, there are major

(01:26):
holidays in Spain this month, such as the ninth of October,
Valencia Day and the twelfth, where we celebrate all things Spanish.
The twelfth is a Sunday, so some areas are extending
through the entire weekend, but it is a great opportunity
to show our pride and affiliation with Spain and all
things Spanish. October is about mixing seasonal charm with lighthearted fun.

(01:51):
Choose one or two of these ideas and bring them
to life on Instagram and you will have content that
feels fresh, local and engaging. Until next time, time, happy posting.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
