Solemos guardar nuestra intimidad. Tenemos cuidado con lo que contamos a un extraño, ya que no sabemos si podemos fiar de él. Ruega que Dios examine y conozca su corazón, que pruebe sus pensamientos, que busque cualquier camino de perversidad en él. Puede que nuestra primera reacción es de retraernos, buscando guardar nuestra intimidad, pero seamos honestos: ¿por qué intentaríamos esconder algo del Dios que todo lo ve? Si Dios ya sabe todo lo que hay en nuestros corazones y en nuestros pensamientos, lo mejor que podemos hacer es invitarle a mostrarnos todo lo que no debe estar en nuestro corazón. Sería como ir al médico y pedir que nos haga un examen físico completo. Después de todo, si hay una enfermedad en nosotros, que nos lo diga el médico para que se pueda tratar. Esta petición va acompañada de la petición para la dirección divina. Ya que nos abrimos en honestidad ante Dios, pidamos que Dios sea nuestro guía en los caminos eternos.
