Hey everybody, and welcome back. It is a Wednesday, December
fourth edition of Mets Bets, and yes I am Nate Mets.
And in five minutes or less, I'm gonna tell you
how I am going to bet Race four at Tampa
Bay Downs today. Now, this is a fun race, going
seven furlongs on the dirt. It's a sixteen thousand dollars
claiming race, and there are a number of decent horses

(00:21):
in this field, a lot of options that you can
go with, and I went with two horses that I'm
interested in, two horses that are longer shots on the
morning line. You take a look at the favorite in
this race, it's the number seven Tuscan Ruler Rode by
Sammy Camacho, trained by Joe Bennett. And look, when those
two team up, they're gonna take a lot of money.

(00:42):
Sammy Camacho is almost always going to take a lot
of money. And if he doesn't take a lot of money,
that's when you bet him right, because that's when he
really blows up and wins at like thirty to one
or something like that that we've already seen a couple
of times this year. But I'm looking at the number
nine horse Broadcaster. I was drawn in by the name Broadcaster,
and then I took a look at the horse, and

I think it's got a lot of upside. First, let's
talk about why I don't like the favorite. Tuscan Ruler.
I think is going to get bet down a little
bit more than that three to one morning line spot
because of the Sami effect. If Sammy's having a good day,
especially early on, He's definitely gonna catch a lot of
attention in race four. But he's rode this horse before
at this distance against a little tougher of competition, But

Tuscan Ruler never really showed that he was a viable
racehorse that is going to be, you know, a threat
at any level. It's won one race out of ten
broke it's made and hasn't done anything since, and Broadcaster
kind of similar. It's only one one time, but it's
only run five times in its life, and the four
races that it's had this year have almost always been

either on turf or on all weather and hasn't had
a ton of chances to run on the dirt. The
time it did have a chance to run on the
dirt going one mile at Gulfstream Park, albeit it was
in the mud, but still he won. He broke his
maiden on the dirt, and now he gets another chance today.
And I think that maybe shortening up a little bit
in distance and then the dropping class too. You're going

from a maiden claimer at twenty five thousand to a
sixteen thousand dollars claimer at Tampa, going up against similar horses.
I just think that this horse Broadcaster has a big
chance to win at a decent price at six to
one on the morning line. I hope we can get
that with a lot of horses in the field, Hopefully
that money's gonna be gonna be spread out enough to
where we can get a fair price. And then the

other horse I like in this maybe for a play
underneath would be the number three since Sorrito, if you're
playing like on stable Duel for instance, which is a
fun I enjoy playing stable duel and I'll be on
there today. But if you are playing stable duel, this
would be a horse that I think you could take
a look at and seriously seriously take a swing with.

At twelve to one or probably higher. I think this
horse goes off at higher odds than that. I was
excited to bet him at twenty to one last week.
If we can get twenty to one again, I'm gonna
be Stoll. But twelve to one on the morning line
seems fair, and in this spot, I think he has
an opportunity. So that's all I've got. I've got to
