In this 8-minute episode, I reflect on what it means to live authentically; honoring your unique blueprint, integrating all parts of yourself, and releasing the pressure to be perfect.

Inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, IFS, and the reminder that you can be both a masterpiece and a work in progress, this is your invitation to show up as your full self.

♾ In a fast-paced world like the one we live in, time is one of our most important assets. For a few minutes every episode, I, Tannaz Hosseinpour, will be discussing topics that aim to enhance the quality of your life, by helping you feel empowered to take inspired action on your personal growth journey.

that brings you mindfully curated insights into relationships, spirituality, personal
development and everything in between with your hosts ten as
the same Poor, Hi sol friends, it's anas the same
point and welcome back to another short solo episode of
the minute song Growth Podcast. Before I begin, I want

(00:27):
to share a quick announcement. The Self Worth, Self Care
and Sisterhood Retreat in Tuscany is live and we now
only have four spots life. It's happening August eighteen till
the twenty third, and it's going to be a truly
sacred experience for those looking to embody their defined feminine
to heal and save sisterhood and reconnect with their inner

(00:49):
wisdom through practices like yoga, breath work, nervous system regulation,
and energy healing. So if this is calling, to check
out the link in the show notes. It really is
first come, first serve and I would love to hold
space with you there. Now let's shift gears to our

(01:10):
topic of the week today.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
I want to talk about something that's been coming up
lately in kind sessions and my personal reflections on the
podcast with our guests and in the collective energy, and
that is authenticity, not the curated esthetic version of authenticity,
but the real, raw kind, the kind that asks us

(01:36):
to be seen as we are, to stop editing, to
stop shrinking, to stop performing for a life we don't
actually even want. There's a powerful quote in the Gavla
Gita that says it is better to live your own
destiny imperfectly then to live an imitation of somebody else's

(02:00):
life with perfection. Just let that sink in. It is
better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live
in imitation of somebody else's life with perfection. You see,
we live in a world that's constantly telling us who

(02:20):
we should be, and if we're not deeply rooted in
who we actually are, it becomes way too easy to
start living for somebody else's expectations, now, whether that's society's
expectations or parents' expectations. And sometimes we're not even aware
of the parts of us that are doing this. You see,

(02:43):
there's often a part of us that's been conditioned to
fulfill the unmet desires of our parents to live a
life that gives them peace, pride, or protection. I first
read about this concept and at Cartoli's book in the Earth,
and it really opened my eyes to this, And I

(03:04):
want to be clear, so much of this comes from love.
Parents tend to want the best for their kids. They
want to protect them from the pain that they might
have gone through, so they give in to societal standards,
hoping that it's going to provide safety and success. But

(03:24):
somewhere along the way that well intentioned conditioning can interfere
with the unique song that lives inside of us, and
without realizing it, we start suppressing parts of ourselves, parts
of us that, if brought to the surface, would actually

(03:45):
guide us towards the highest, most expansive version of our destiny.
And that's why I love working with internal family systems
or ifs, because IFS teaches us that we're not just
one single identity. We are made up of many parts.
We have parts that want to be liked, parts that

(04:06):
want to protect us, parts that are scared, parts that
still carry the wounds of our past. And none of
these parts are bad. They all exist for a reason.
They helped us survive. But authenticity means learning how to
see these parts, to listen to them, to understand them,

(04:31):
to integrate them, not to exile or shame, though, and
when we lead from self with a capital S, we
lead from a place that is calm, curious, confident, connected, compassionate, grounded,
understanding that self lives beneath all the noise and it's

(04:56):
always been there, and our work is simply to turned
to it. And here's the thing. You were never meant
to look or sound like anyone else. I know it
sounds cliche, but it's the truth. You came into this
world with a unique blueprint, your birth chart, your human design,
your lived experiences, your gifts, your talents. None of it

(05:21):
is a coincidence. Nothing about you is random. So trying
to squeeze yourself into someone else's version of success or
happiness will always leave you feeling disconnected. You weren't meant
to imitate. You were meant to express. Now, showing up

(05:41):
like that that takes courage, because it's asking us to
step out of our comfort zone. And our comfort zone
is where our brain feels safest. Your brain isn't trying
to sabotage you. It's actually trying to protect you. It says, hey,
let's say where it's familiar. Let's not be too visible,

(06:03):
let's not take up too much space. But the truth
is when we choose authenticity, when we say yes to
our full expression, to our truth, to our gifts, that's
when life starts to feel nourishing and expansive. That's when
the right people, opportunities, and experiences that are truly meant

(06:27):
for us begin to align again. As cliche as it sounds,
you don't need to be perfect. You just need to
step out of your own way and allow yourself to
be you. One of my favorite quotes is from Sophia Bush,
and she says you are allowed to be both a
masterpiece and a work in progress simultaneously. So let that

(06:52):
be a reminder today. You can love who you are
now and still be evolving. You can be proud of
where you are and still want more. You can hold
the both that and with grace. So I'll leave you
with this, What part of yourself have you been hiding?

(07:14):
What would happen if you let it be seen? Your
authentic self? The real you isn't something you need to become,
It's something you return to again and again and again.
Thank you so much for spending this moment with me.

we have planned for August eighteenth till the twenty third

(07:57):
of this summer. Until next time, keep choosing you and
