Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, happy Monday morning. This is the opening line report.
We're gonna get you ready for NFL Week six, But
first were gonna talk about week five. We're gonna run
and Teddy covers on loving the Lions garb. The comment
section already going nuts. And I used the Lions thankfully.
In Survivor, Teddy, I did not. I used the Rams
and the Cardinals. I did have some I survived with

(00:23):
with the Colts over on Splash. But really quickly before
we get into this, I saw this tweet a few
minutes ago, and I just my job has hit the floor.
Titans down eighteen win is an underdog plus four thirty.
Panthers down seventeen get the win and cover Broncos down
fourteen and win as a plus one eighty underdog. Saints
down eleven got the win in the cover Commander's down

(00:46):
ten plus one forty they get the outright win as
an underdog, and then last night Patriots almost a wire
to wire winner as a three dollars underdog. That was
the chaos I was looking for. Unfortunately, it also took
out some of my Survivor picks. That's what we're gonna
get into today, Teddy we're going to talk about what
we saw last weekend and how it is going to

(01:08):
affect this coming up weekend. But first, I've never seen
you not in a suit, jacket and T shirt.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yes, it's Dave Sheriffan's funeral. I'm going right after the show.
So I thought I would dress in some team gear
to a remember our good friend. That's what he would
have worn. So, and I didn't have a matching cap.
I only had a Michigan cap and a Lion shirt.
So it is what it is. But this is the

(01:36):
only shirt that I So this shirt is a Joey Harrington. Okay,
I used to have a Charles Rogers as well, my
buddy Bottom at like then when they were selling them
at the end of the season when everyone had been cut.
The year they went on in seventeen or Owen sixteen.
They got him for like five bucks or ten bucks. Yeah,
I'll get you a couple. But yes, that is a
Joey Harrington. Nice call, Ethan, But this in tribute to

(02:01):
our dear department friend, Dave Sheriffan.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Yeah. I had a lot of friends be able to
go to the celebration of life, and I was told
that everybody dressed for the occasion, and that just warmed
my heart here on this beautiful Monday morning. Teddy, let's
get in to last weekend what we saw, But first
let's talk about Monday night football.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Sure, Monday night and right now, looking at the ODS
logic live on screen, case minus three and a half
pretty much painted across the board, total forty five and
a half, pretty much painted across the board. There were
threes out there for the Chiefs earlier in the week.
Those have now been bought up. As expected, you tend
to see the money come for the public favorite on

(02:42):
Monday Night, or the money trickle for the public favorite,
and that's what happened here obviously. But again right now,
three and a half, forty five and a half Jacksonville,
Who's we'll talk about the Jacks as we go to
the show, but the Jacks certainly playing for respect tonight
from a betting marketplace that has given them all that
much respect yet despite their hot start to the season.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
All right, Teddy, let's get into Thursday night football here
really quickly, because we got to talk about this Eagles team.
I am actually would you like to recap last weekend? First?
I apologize.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I mean, when you talk about the beats, you brought
up the what we have five double digit comebacks yesterday? Yesterday,
I mean the worst of the punch was Arizona, you know,
who led twenty one to six. They had a seventy
two yard touchdown scamper, Oops, he didn't want to carry
them all over the goal line. And then they found
Kyler Murray fumbled off a bad snap, and then they
had the game ceiling interception. Oops, well, let's fumble that

(03:43):
back on a non contact blands up as a Panther's touchdown.
It was bizarre for Arizona, but we talked about it
last week on this show. I'm like, don't use Arizona survivor.
I don't trust them. And for the third a straight game,
the Cardinals found a way to lose on the very
last play. Obviously. The Dolphins was another one, and we're
gonna talk a lot of fair a bit about Miami

(04:04):
here up seventeen to nothing. They actually they got punched
and punched back. They just needed one stop in the
fourth quarter after retaking the lead. Couldn't get that stop
for the Dolphins. The Giants turned the ball over five
times a row that a loud the Saints to rally back,
but the one that had me steam I had Colts
Raiders over all right. They finished with forty six closing

(04:26):
total forty six and a half. I got forty seven
and a half was its highest forty eight and a half.
The Raiders went oh four in the red zone. They
rat four times to the red zone and scored six points.
That's a little short, but the key was the Colts
kicker got hurt. Then they missed three two point conversions
and again stayed under by point and a half half
a point depending on where you got the number. That

(04:47):
was a little frustrating, a very frustrating if you had
the Raiders of Colts over the total, like my clients
and I did yesterday.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I'm sorry to hear that, Seddy, but I needed an
easy Colts win after what it happened, and to me
there on Thursday night, that was my best bet from
this week on bet on it and I will take it.
Sometimes those rocking chair winners are just good for your
betting soul, and I needed a rocking chair winner there.
I'm sorry that even when the Colts put up a

(05:16):
forty burger, you somehow did not hit that over. That
is just an absolute utter travesty that the Raiders are
that in that offensively.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, they had a rough day yesterday and again we'll
talk about it. Let's go through the games. It's time,
it's time we got EBAs. The lines are popping right now, so.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
EBA's I'm gonna be ready for it. Let's start off
with Thursday night football Eagles at the Giants and NFC
Least preview if you will, sure.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
And of course, so I'm gonna give you four sets
of numbers for all of these games. That's what I
do every week. We're gonna be the look headline from
last week, my powering number, the opener last night, and
what we're looking at today. So look headline. Here was
a split line. There was sevens and seven and a
halfs out there for Philadelphia, total forty half. My powering
number only comes six for the game. Last night we

(06:03):
saw sevens and seven and a half. The markets have
moved to seven and a half this morning, total forty two.
Last night, we're seeing under money come in for this
one forty one and a half and I'm seeing seven
and a half across the board. And I'm gonna say this,
I don't think the seven and a half can hold.
I think we'll see giants money. So let's eba. You
know you're not gonna get the worst of it if

(06:24):
you take plus seven and a half right now. Want
the Giants grab it sooner rather than later. I do
not see this line going up. It's not going up
to eight or nine. So to take a plus seven
and a half now say this urgency in that there's
a reasonable chance this gets bet down to seven or below. Again,
my Parwery number says six. And I'm still pretty high
on Philadelphia. But the Eagles have now you know, they

(06:46):
lost the box score the first four games and still
found a way to win. You know, now they've lost
the box score in all five and they're coming off,
you know, a blown seventeen to three lead and a
week where there was all kinds of chatter in Philadelphia,
you know, all the chirping in the locker room AJ
Brown and then his cryptic social media posts and all

(07:07):
the liking. When you blow a lead, a two touchdown lead,
and you hear that chirping, it's something of a concern, certainly,
And of course they still had a chance to win
in the final play, Hurts throwing in the end zone,
couldn't bring it in. But when you have a two
touchdown lead and you can't run the football, that's concerned.
Sakuon Barkley six of thirty yesterday on the ground, the

(07:28):
team just eleven or forty five. Meanwhile, again eleven carries
forty eight dropbacks for Hurts. That's not the ratio you
want when you're up to two touchdowns. That's bizarre. They
had a laid fourth down, they had a fourth down
conversion called back in illegal shift penalty against Barkley, and
of course the defense got gashed when it mattered most.
You know, the last three drives touchdown, touchdown, field goal allowed,

(07:50):
and they were all fifty plus yard drives, all long
drives against that Eagles defense. So you know, the passing
game was ranked number thirty one in the NFL heading
into the week. They are issues right now. And of
course we talked about positive chemistry. I don't love this
quote from DeVonta Smith quote. We got to get on
the same page and continue to be on the same page.
We could be a lot better shot ourselves in the

(08:12):
foot a lot than hearing a lot of these type
of quotes from Philadelphia of late which makes me think
again the seven and a halfs may not hold. That being said,
I did not like the leadership on the Giants yesterday.
They did not respond well to adversity. When everything snowballed.
They led fourteen to three after the first two drives,
didn't score again. Five drives in a row ended in turnovers.
It's hard to win games with the five turn of

(08:32):
a margin. And of course, only three other teams in
the last twenty five years have turned the ball over
on five straight posessions in the NFL. That would be
the twenty sixteen Jets, ten Jaguars and the twenty twin
Bears twenty ten Bears. For those who are wandering, so
doesn't happen a lot. Jackson darted after the game, said

(08:53):
the right things. You know again the team won first
downs at one yardage, but a bad team off a
win they did not execute obviously Dart quote. I told
as many guys in the locker room as I could,
as many guys as I can in the locker room,
this one's on me, and I'm going to get better.
I expect myself to play better in these games and
to win them. But certainly there were a lot of
concerns about the Giants secondary in that ball game. They

(09:16):
got lit up again and again down the stretch for
the Saints, and you give up an eighty seven yard
touchdown catch and eighty plus yard fumble return touchdown. Hard
to wind there. That said, Thursday night short turnaround. We
saw the home dog. We saw the dog in the
divisional matchup do fairly well last Thursday night with San Francisco.

(09:38):
I'd expect to see some Giants money here. I'm not
convinced a seven and Halsohold all.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Right, Teddy, We're heading back to London. I don't know why,
but we are. The Denver Broncos are taking on the Jets.
Sorry to all the Englanders that have to subject themselves
to the New York Jets study on the Super Contest.
Every week they tweet out their top five. Right, I
was on the Jets and they were my lone loser yesterday,

(10:02):
and I was like, I knew it was the kiss
of death when all the sharp guys, right, or the
guys in the contest showing out thousands of dollars to
play presumably are sharp, and they're all on this god
awful team what does that mean. It means, it's just
it was a kiss of doubts for me. It is
what it is. But the Jets could not get out
of their own way yet again. Now they are catching

(10:26):
over a touchdown in an international game.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah, the Jets yesterday as well, they were pretty awful.
You know. There wasn't no sugar coating what happened to
the Jets yesterday. It was rough look aheadline here denver
minus six and a half, forty three my powering number,
Denver minus nine. The markets opened seven slash seven and
a half forty three and a half, and we're seeing

(10:50):
the seven and a half pretty much getting bought up
right now. It's all seven's out there, So there's no
emergency betting alert need because it's already gone. That said
forty three and a half, the prevailing total not sensing
that's moving in any direction right now. So the Jets
allowed seven point one yards per play to a team

(11:12):
playing with four backup offsive linemen. All right, the box
score lie says. The Jets offense worked, but the Jets
offense didn't work. They trailed that game against the worst defense,
the second worst defense in the league. In the yards
per play basis Dallas, they trailed thirty to three. Everything
they got offensively was garbage time, right the Bristow funmel
the red zone was the only turnover of the game.

(11:32):
It wasn't like they turned it over twenty times. Justin
Field sacked five times. They had ten penalties. And remember
Aaron Glenn. Aaron Glenn, the first year, first time head coach,
ripped into the team after the Monday night lost to Miami.
You know, he blew the game. How's the team going
to respond facing against an opponent with four backup off

(11:54):
the lineman, coming off a tie, you know, and they
did not respond well. Aaron Glenn, I'm gonna embrace this
challenge all right, like any other challenge, and we're going
to figure out as a team how to get out
of this hole. The Jets the first team in NFL
history not to force a single turnover in their first
five ball games. Right now, this defense is bottom tier now.

(12:18):
The Broncos are coming off a pretty big win that
was a statement win for them against Philadelphia, a game
in which they did nothing for three quarters and then
were the vastly superior team in the fourth. They played
three games away from home, all decided by a field
goal or less. So when you talk about laying this
type of price with Denver, that could be a concern.

(12:38):
They're not winning games by marchin this year the way
they were a year ago. Bow Nicks did a lot
of things right, you know, completely past to nine different
receivers Courtland Sutton nineteen catches two or ninety eight yards
the last three weeks, you know, and the last three
drives touchdown, touchdown, field goal, all fifty plus yards, the
aggressive two point conversion mid with the fourth Peyton had

(12:59):
a play for the two point conversion. Denver's a team
with the arrow pointed upwards right now. The Jets not
so much.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yep. If you want to take the Jets, have some
pepto bismo already because they're gonna hurt your stomach for
four quarters. Luckily Red Zone didn't have to show me
too much of it, Teddy. The Pittsburgh Steelers are off
of buy and they are back at home now taking
on the Cleveland Browns.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
Yeah. Look headline here. Pittsburgh minus five and a half
total thirty seven and a half, my powering number, Pittsburgh
minus six. Markets opened four and a half thirty seven
and a half last night, we're seeing fives and thirty
eight this morning. Most of the thirty seven and a
halfs are gone, but there's still a couple out there,
and I don't think that thirty seven and a half

(13:46):
is gonna last. Now that Cleveland in theory has found
something on the offensive side of the football that said,
there's not enough of them out there, I can't say
the shop around. There's only a couple of thirty seven
and a halfs out there, so I'm not going to
emerge betting as a result. That being said, you can
find a thirty seven and a half right now with DraftKings.
You find one in Vegas here at the South Point.
I don't think those will be there for much longer.

(14:09):
Steelers off of buye under Mike Tomlin fourteen and four
straight up. They've won eighth straight off of buye dating
back to twenty seventeen. Last year, they came off the
by and beat Washington at plus two and a half
hundred dogs. That being said, they won that game by
a single point twenty eight twenty seven. Pittsburgh offensively not
necessarily a team that you're comfortable laying points with against

(14:30):
a quality defense. The Browns no buy off the London trip,
which is, you know, one of those things you want
to be aware of. They've had more travel than most
teams normally do in a two game span. The Browns
plus two in trovers yesterday, still lost, still failed to
cover against Minnesota and again four point eight yards per play.
Dylan Gabriel was better than you know, again against a

(14:54):
Floris's defense. I can't complain, but four point eight yards
per play, all right. They haven't gotten a league average
an offense in any game just yet. And the play
calling for Gabriel a credit to Stefanski and his staff.
You know, they got the ball out quickly because this
offsive line is still very much an issue. We only
had two point five four seconds average time to throw.

(15:14):
Now there's film on them though. And of course Quinchahn
Jenkins has been really impressive. One hundred and ten rushing yards,
eighteen receiving yards, back to back games with one hundred
scrimmage yards, the first running in the Browns running back
to do that since Nick Jubbed did it in twenty eighteen.
So there were positives for Cleveland off the loss. That said,
and of course we're talking about a good defensive underdog.

(15:36):
I do not see this line going through the roof.
I do not see a bunch of Pittsburgh money coming in,
even though my powering number at six says that this
line is priced fairly cheaply at the current number.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
So teddy, I'm still alive in a couple of survivors,
not the big, big one. But I still have my
little handy dandy spreadsheet that I worked on, and I
had the Steelers circled here. You mentioned Tomlin off of Bye,
mentioned the Browns travel schedule coming back from London, plus
the Browns have been pretty lack luster overall. Outside of that,
Packers win. Would you consider the Steelers for survivor this week?

(16:13):
Or should I just take the layup here? Maybe into
use Green Bay.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
So I've been much better at saying who you shouldn't
take than who you should take? Ye?

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Should I not take the Steelers? Is that a bad spot?

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Two weeks ago I'm like, don't take the Chargers. This
past week I said, don't take Arizona. Pittsburgh is not
on my don't take list.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Okay, perfect, all right, Well then I'll keep them on
my long list. Speaking of Arizona, go ahead, and any I'm.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Saying, it's worth noting that we talk all about how
the bounce defense is great, and now their defensive metric
numbers are great. The final drive for Minnesota to win
the game, Cleveland's defense nine for nine allowed Carson Wentz
to pick them apart and march Minnesota right down the
field into the end zone. So when push came to shove,
the Cleveland defense did not get to stop that. Many

(17:01):
were looking for, all.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
Right, let's talk about how Arizona is going to bounce back.
It was no different than k State to me, like
that loss on Saturday. You know, you look at the
the metrics on ESPN, it's like ninety seven and a
half percent chances are going to win this game, and
then it just falls off a cliff. And that's exactly
what happened with the Cardinals and the Colts. On the
other end, I said, we're just absolutely and utterly easy,

(17:25):
and I needed that. But now this line is kind
of saying, hey, let's see what the Colts have. I
like this Colts team kind of talk to me if
you think maybe they are a Super Bowl contender, if
there is something future wise we should be looking at
here or how they just kind of played a softer schedule.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
So in terms of my powering numbers, my biggest risers
since the beginning of the season is Indianapolis Colts. This
is my preseason rankings. Absolutely my biggest faller the Baltimore Ravens.
No surprise there. And I don't even know now if
I have Baltimore price Coritha and the markets have Baltimore
even lower than I do. But am I gonna call
Indy a super Bowl contender? No, this team's not winning

(18:05):
the Super Bowl. This team's not getting a big game there.
You know, there are better teams than them in the AFC.
That doesn't mean that they're not live to win the
division and or make the playoffs and or win a
playoff game or two. You know, I just don't see
them winning three or four playoff games when all said
and done. Look headline here. There were three and a
halfs and four for Indy. Total forty six and a

(18:25):
half my powering number. And I had to downgrade Arizona
and I had to upgrade Indy six and a half
for this ballgame. So I'm a little bit above the market.
The markets right now, there were five and a half
last night, they're not there really anymore. There's still a
couple five and a halfs for Indy mostly six is
forty seven the total last night. I'm seeing forty seven

(18:47):
and a half out there right now. I would not
be shocked at all to see Colts money come in
and again I'm even seeing a five, five, five and
a half. Oh no, sorry, I was looking at the
other game. I see five and a halfs right there
at a couple of books for Indie against Arizona. And
of course the Cardinals had three touchdowns at first four drives.

(19:08):
They were up twenty one to three, and then they
never scored again. You know, third straight game that they've
lost on a walk off field goal on the last play.
That is truly demoralizing. You know, Kyler Murray said it
might be the worst loss of his career. I really
don't know what to think about. That is how to
lose a game one oh one? That was crazy. Jonathan

(19:28):
Gannon obviously very disappointing. Felt that we had multiple chances
to put away the game all three phases, and we
didn't do it. Collectively, we have to do a better job.
Until we do a better job, we're going to keep losing.
By the way, according to a sports radar, that's the
first time in NFL history that a team has lost
all three games in a row on the very last
play on a game winning field goal. And of course,

(19:51):
you know the defense which they intercepted the pass, then
they fumbled back, but they really contained they can They
contained Tennessee all game. You know, Tennessee did not lookod
and then the final drive, boom, there's Calm Ridley wide
open downfield for a forty yard pass. You know, Demikardo

(20:11):
fumbling at the one inch line. Arizona is a little
bit shell shocked right now. I don't trust them, and
he's killing people. You know, dominant performance against a lesser foe.
The offense is scored thirty three, twenty nine, forty one,
and forty in their four wins, the second time in
three home games they've held their opponent under ten. They

(20:32):
held the Dolphins to eight points in Week one. Now,
the box score for Indy wasn't dominant yesterday. Didn't need
to be. You know, they only we oucate him by
a yard per play. But also worth noting how strong,
I mean, they're so strong in the trenches. They blew
up the line of scrimmage over and over again. That
was a difference in the total in that ballgame, for sure.
And the offsive line is blowing open holes for Jonathan

(20:55):
Taylor and giving Danny Dimes time to throw. Vegas had
recorded a sack in thirty nine consecutive games, the longest
active streak in the NFL. That streak came to an
end thanks to indies O well play yesterday, Shane Stike
and quote, the guys are playing at a high level
right now. They're playing together, you know, the It's an

(21:19):
indie team that I'm in no rush to step in
front of. I would not be surprised at all if
we see more Colts money between now and kickoff Arizona.
Though Arizona's not getting blown out, they're just losing by
a little bit. But this might be the kind of
game where demoralized team gets slapped around a little bit.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
All right, Teddy, let everybody know what you've got going
on right now over at wager talk dot com.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Yeah, so we didn't have a good day yesterday, unfortunately,
but it's been a good couple of weeks, the last
two and a half weeks. Twenty four and twelve All
sports run. The baseball has been good for and one
start to the playoffs. The college football has been really good,
with the exception of my big ticket, I want Everything
on Saturday ten and three College football run. And the
NFL is still profitable for the season, even off yesterday's disappointment.

(22:05):

You can get tonight's play if you want twenty five bucks.
I would encourage you to get a package, not to play.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Yeah, that is crazy, Teddy. The NBA is starting already
and college football or season college basketball is just right
around the corner. Time is flying. When you're having a
good time during the NFL season, you know who's not
having a good time. The Baltimore Ravens are not having
a good time, and neither is their fan base. AARONL.
Epstein just went on an absolute like three or four

(22:58):
TikTok tangent yesterday about the woes, the injuries and the
issues within Baltimore. Teddy, you mentioned that you upgrade downgrade
your power ratings every single week, and you said, hey,
hand up, I don't know if I've downgraded Baltimore enough yet.
At fan duel this morning, Baltimore is still favored to

(23:19):
win their division. I am just my head is kind
of in a pretzel, so kind of talk about this
Baltimore Ravens team and then of course them facing the
Rams this weekend.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
Sure right now? Okay, so look headline here, there were
four and a half and five and a half for
the Rams against the Ravens total forty four and a half.
My powering number came Rams five and a half. The
markets opened seven and forty five last night, and now
I'm seeing the sevens are gone. It's all seven and
a half slash forty five and a half. So you're

(23:51):
asking the Rams to win by more than a touchdown
against the Baltimore team again. They got blown off the
field again. Yesterday. They can't run, you can't win in Baltimore.
Derrick Henry fifteen carries thirty three yards. A full team
nineteen carries forty four yards. Henry had one hundred and
sixty nine rushing yards versus Buffalo week one. Since that time,
twenty three fifty forty two thirty three rushing yards in

(24:16):
the last four games. That's forty six carries for one
hundred and forty eight yards. Three yards of carry. That
ain't gonna win football games in Baltimore. You know, Cooper
rushed through three picks. Lamar Jackson is not gonna be
back this week. But that's not even the story. The
bigger story is the defense. They've lost four games. In
those four losses, they've allowed forty one, thirty eight, thirty

(24:39):
seven and forty four. Houston scored. Houston, a team that
hadn't moved the football off season, scored on all eight
offensive possessions. Win Stroud was in the game, all right,
So you know they started five rookies on defense, filling
for all the injured players. All right. They're now two
to ten their last twelve tries playing without Lamar Jez.

(25:01):
So you have a defense reeled with injuries, you have
an offense reeled with injuries. You know, I've got Baltimore
ranked among the second you know. I don't have them
ranked with the Tennessees and the Carolinas and then the
New Orleans of the world, or the Jets in that matter,
or where the Raiders are going in that matter. But
I've got Baltimore in that next tier amongst the other

(25:22):
bad teams right now. And again, the markets a full
two points lower on the Ravens than I am for
this one. It's worth noting teams are going into the
by this past week went two and oho. Again, that's
five and one this season. ATS teams going into the
bye next week. Baltimore and Buffalo are on buy. That's

(25:43):
certainly something worth paying attention to. Harball quote, I thought
we would play better. I thought we would tackle better.
It was not at the standard. We have enough good
players out there to play better than we did. Heat
on the defense corner, zac or they was asked me
he was gonna consider changes with the defensive staff. Quote.
I do not think that's the answer. We have to
go to work is what we need to do. We

(26:04):
need to stick together, is what we need to do
we need to find ourselves blah blah blah. So no
changes to the staff for Baltimore. As for the Rams,
obviously they're coming off a pretty frustrating loss of their own.
Kyra and Williams fubbles is the one foot line, no
go ahead touchdown, and the offense couldn't get a yard
with the game on the line in overtime and the

(26:25):
defense got gashed for three hundred and forty two yards
passing to a backup quarterback and backup receivers. That being said,
these Thursday night games there's a lot of randomness. I
really tried not to overreact to what we just saw
on a Thursday night game and get an old quarterback
on a short weekend staff for its stats look fine,
but I've seen him sharper. That's something to be aware of.

(26:45):
And yards per play in the game that they lost,
the Rams seven point one the Niners four point nine.
You know, McVeigh, I'm pretty sick right now. I'm sick
of the spot I put our group into end the game.
But these are tough beats and you got to be
able to learn from them and move forward. The Rams
are three and two. They're two plays from being five
and oh the block field little against Philly and the

(27:06):
fourth and one stuff against San fran There's a thought
process out there perhaps that maybe this La Rams team,
even late in seven and a half, is underpriced. My
powering number said, they're not all right.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
The Jaguars play tonight, but we're gonna talk about next
Sunday's game versus well, the Seattle Seahawks. Teddy the mad
Russian and I have a sirk injury. Would you? Every
year called Kelly and Russia, and every single week we
have like some ridiculous thing happened to us. This way,
we didn't have anything crazy happen, but we did have
the Seahawks and it was not pretty. That Bucks team,

(27:42):
I thought, you know, has showed some real resilience this
NFL season, and we can get into them a little
bit later. But I thought, hey, Darnold has been impressive
in Seattle. I have liked this team a lot, and
yet they could not get the win at home.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
Look ahead line here, Jacksonville pick them slash minus one
total of forty four. My powering number pick them Jaggs Seahawks.
The markets open pick them one slash one and a half.
So there was some variants last night, total anywhere from
forty four and a half to forty five and a half.
This morning, I'm seeing Seattle as minus one slash minus

(28:19):
one and a half. There are pick them's out there
as well, if you'll like the Jags tonight plus the
points against KC. Again, if this team looks good on
national TV tonight, they're likely to be the favorites against
the Seattle team West Coast team traveling east off the
loss off a poor defensive showing. So if the Jags
get bombed tonight, I'm not convinced that the markets will
be excited about them the same way they are right now.

(28:42):
So depending on which way you like Monday night football
this evening, you may want to put a parlay in
on or against Jacksonville this line and beginning the best
of the number for week two if you get week
one right. Of course, the Jags, you know, thirteen takeaways
through four games, at the most in the NFL by far.
Last year for the full seventeen game season had nine takeaways,

(29:04):
so they're only four more than the entirety of last year.
We'll see if they can do some of that tonight
against KC. And Seattle's not turning the ball over a lot.
They had won yesterday, but the one interception came at
absolutely wrong time, inside two minutes with the score tied
at thirty five, all in their own territory. And of course,
Jason Myers missed a forty four yard field goal earlier
in the game. And let's not forget the Jalen Milroe

(29:27):
fumble of all the play calls yesterday that you're going
to be frustrated about if you're a fan of your team.
All right, let's bring Milroe into the game to run
the option and then throw a bad pitch and fumble
not equal to bucks touchdown. So multiple injuries for Seattle
as well. They're playing without three starters on defensive DeMarcus Lawrence, Devin,
Willie Witherspoon, and Julian Love two. In the secondary, the

(29:49):
linebacker Derek Hall got hurt yesterday. The other cornerback, Rick Woollen,
got hurt yesterday as well, So those are concerns. And
again they gained eight point six per play on offense,
six point one yards per rush, ran the ball right
down Tampa throat all again, ten yards per pass attempt.
They went four or four in the red zone. They
went six and nine on third down, one on one

(30:09):
on fourth down. They scored thirty five points at home.
It's hard to lose a game like that. Seattle found
a way.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Yes they did, and that's because me and Jeff both
were on them. I'm fully convinced. No, all jokes aside.
It is funny how sometimes when you and a buddy agree, Teddy,
you're like, damn it. And it was the same thing
as what I said about the Jets. You and I
were both on the Jets. We thought, hey, we've got
Dallas Sunday Night football and a barn Burner versus the Packers.

(30:37):
They get the game tying, you know, win if you will,
which I think for the Cowboys it was considered a win.
Maybe not for the Packers, but definitely for the Cowboys.
Then they get to travel east and it's just the
lowly Jets. Yet the line was two and a half
and it was begging you to lay it with Dallas.
And if you laid it with Dallas, you look pretty
darn smart.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Yeah. Uh So, Dallas didn't think that they were that
the win against that the tie against the Packers was
a good thing. And you read the quotes after the game.
It's very clear, Dak Prescott. I saw this coming on
a simple fact. This team knows how confident we are,
what we're capable of doing. We knew it was important
to get the taste of last week out of our

(31:19):
mouth and out of our mind.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
Okay, good point. Well, now they get to face the
Panthers like another game that you just don't think that
Dallas is going to be up for, right, Like these
are these like kind of weird situations where I think
the rubber is going to meet the road here for
the Dallas Cowboys. Right, they are not fully healthy, but
they've been getting healthier week by week. Dak Prescott's still
up right. Panthers, on the other hand, I mentioned how

(31:45):
awful they look. They were down seventeen at one point,
and I thought, good grief, who let me bet the Panthers?
And then here come the Panthers. What do we make
of these two teams headed into Week six?

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Look ahead line Dallas minus three and a half forty seven.
My powering number Dallas minus three. The markets opened three
and a half and forty nine last night, and I'm
still seeing three and a half's out there now. But
forty nine and a half the total. Maybe it's time
to emergency betting alert this one line plus three and

(32:25):
a half. Again, it's not gonna hurt you to bet
it now. I don't see this line going up. I
can only see it going down. Why well, the Cowboys,
you're playing with four backup offsitive linemen and ocd Lamb.
All right, Nate Thomas just made the first start of
his career, filling in for Tyler Geidon. Hakeema Denji made
his first start with the Cowboys at guard. All right.

(32:46):
We've got Trevor Keenan and brock Hoffman starting his first
game at center, TJ Bass starting only his second game
at right guard. You got bb Heart, You've got Booker Heard,
you've got Tyler Smith active but unable to play in
that ballgame. Those are now. We don't know what the
injury ports gonna look like this week for the offensive line.

(33:06):
But again, you got one hundred and eighty rushing yards
eight point two yards per play, seven point one yards
per pass, sorry, eight point two yards per pass at
ten seven point one yards per play, no ceeding, no problem.
You know, Ryan Florinoy comes out of nowhere. Jake Ferguson
combined for thirteen catch with one hundred and sixty three yards.
Dallas was pretty plays with himself after that ballgame, and

(33:30):
the defense still has some pretty ugly metrics even after
the win, especially because the box score lied in that
game against the Jests, where the Jets put up a
bunch of yard. It's late, so I would anticipate perhaps
some Panthers money, and of course Panthers are two and
oh straight up and against this bread at home. I
thought the crowd mattered yesterday. The team looked much more comfortable,
you know. The defense shut down opposing running backs thirteen

(33:52):
carries fourteen yards. Carolina's running backs twenty nine carries, two
hunter and thirty eight. Rip Daldell with a career game
two hunred and six yard on twenty three carries. Quote,
they got to buckle up, you know. Of course, he's
a former cowboy talking trash to his former team. They
gotta buckle up. I think they know for sure. They
didn't keep me there for five years for no reasons.

(34:13):
Yards per play Carolina outgame Miami by one point seven.
The slow starts are a problem when you think back
to that Arizona game and of course yesterday tying the
franchise record with a seventeen point come from behind victory.
But Dave Canalis talked about don't let things spiral, you know,
after they had that awful loss to New England where
they lost by twenty nine. Bryce Young, I think it

(34:36):
was a great message that carried over. Obviously not to
start that we want, but for us to be able
to refocus. Canal has talked about it all the time,
being able to refocus from the good to the good
from the bad. You saw that in all phases, regardless
of what was going on with the scoreboard, just able
to refocus and go on to the next play. That
was a character win for Carolina. I do expect them

(34:56):
take some money, especially if this cowboy's injury report looks
you know, you talk they were about there. The offensive
line is't getting healthier, The offense isn't getting healthier right
now in the defense has all kinds of concerns when
you look at the full season stats, so I would
not be shocked. We've seen some already. There's still three
and a half's widely available for Carolina. I'm not convinced

(35:16):
that'll be the case all day or all week.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
All right, Teddy, The Chargers off back to back losses,
now head to Miami to play the Dolphins. You mentioned
power ratings wise and how you've moved some of these
teams around. How much have you downgraded the Chargers over
the past two weeks.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
Not that much, you know, I'm a little bit of
point or two. You know, maybe I don't. I don't
have my power. Let me pull them up so I
can answer that question.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Yeah, I'm just generally curious because I kind of watched
both games. Right, you said I do not use the
Chargers and Survivor. I threw a little bit on the Giants.
I knew it was the sharp side. I had zero
faith in the Giants, but they got it done. Then
yesterday I had the Commanders teased every possible direction and
the line went to three and I was panic stricken, like,
oh boy, what's gonna happen? But the second half, the

(36:05):
Commanders really dominated that football game. Justin Herbert, I personally
think was making uncarre characteristic mistakes, and I think we've
got to give a little bit more credit to the Commanders,
not necessarily downgrade the Chargers so much.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Sure, I'm with you. One hundred percent. Look aheadline here,
Chargers minus five and a half forty five my powering number,
chargers minus six. The markets opened five and a half
and forty five last night. What did we see in today?
Fours for this ballgame? Still four and a half's out there,
but four is the prevailing number. So we've seen a
boatload of Miami money over the last twelve hours or so,

(36:43):
total forty four and a half. A little bit of
under money there as well. And look the Chargers. Look
at the scoreboard. They said they lost twenty seven to ten.
There were three plays away from having a blowout win
in that ball game. The Punn return touchdown before halftime
that got called back on a roughing the putter which
didn't hel to return. So instead of seventeen to seven,
now it's ten to ten. At halftime, they're trailing twenty

(37:08):
to ten. In Washington Territory. They get stuffed on fourth
and two, and they got the ball back their first
and goal from the one down ten. They got stuffed
the first two play. Herbert threw a pick off a
guy's face mask in the third play game over, and
then allowed a nine to nine yard touchdown drive to
close out the game. So really three plays for the
Chargers seventeen point loss. They could have won that game
by that margin had those three plays gone differently. That said,

(37:30):
they weren't able to execute on any of them. Herbert's
a leading rusher, that's a problem. Marion Hampton not a factor.
And this is a team that wanted to run the football,
talked all offseason We're going to run the football. They
had the fewest runs on first and second downs of
any team in the NFL on a percentage basis yards
per play five point two for the Chargers, seven point
one for Washington. Ten penalties, two turnovers. This is one

(37:51):
of the least penalized teams the first three weeks of
the season, you know, fifteen penalties in the loss of
the Giants ten yesterday. So Harbaugh quote, we got to
tighten up the operation in every way. And you know,
Herbert's now been sacked sixteen times. He was sacked four
times yesterday in the offsive line. They lost Beckton and

(38:13):
pin Pipkins yesterday two OFFSI of linemen got hurt during
the game for the Chargers. And the fact that we've
seen the Miami money tells me that maybe those injury
reports aren't real good just yet. That being said, Miami,
I did not like the looks on the Dolphins. I
did not like how they responded to diversity yesterday at all.
You can't run, you can't stop the run. You know,

(38:35):
they're running backs thirteen carries fourteen yards and allowed twenty
nine for two thirty eight. This is the team that
had you know, top ten and run defense last year.
Four times in five games this year they've given up
one hundred and fifty rushing yards. You know, Mike McDaniel quote,
I think we were out game by two hundred yards
in the run game. That's not good enough you really

(38:55):
win if ever, But when you watch the game, Carolina
wanted it more and that was when you watch the
effort in the fourth quarter. Carolina was hungrier. Miami was
playing for their season, and Carolina was a hungrier team.
Dolphins were favored, they were plus two in turnovers. They
still lost the game. They rout game by one point
seven yards per play. TUA after the game. No one

(39:17):
wants to start the season one and four. There's just
so many things to go into it. We've got to
figure this out. We've got to figure it out. Now
this feeling sucks. I don't want Miami right now. Chargers
are on my short list, although I am concerned about
injury report on the offensive line.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
All Right, we mentioned the Bucks Baker doing Baker things
and figuring out how to win football games. He looked
rather impressive again, mentioning impressive. Do you think that that
Thursday night football game versus the Rams was more indicative
of this Niners team and being able to plug and
play Mac Jones into that offense, or do you think

(39:55):
that was more of a loss by the Rams.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
So I'm thinking about it, and the answer is a
little bit from common. I mean it's I don't rip
the Rams too much for that loss. I really don't. Again,
they're a play away from winning the game. They just
got stuffed on four it down, you know, Williams fumble
at the goal line. I mean it was two random,
you know, pretty random things for that game. And when
you have the old quarterbacks on Thursday night, you can't

(40:26):
rip them. They won the yards per play battle against
San fran by two point two yards per play, you know,
seven point one to four point nine, and they held
San Franta two and five in the red zone. The
Rams played all right, and then the breaks just went
the Niners way on the most impactful plays of that
ball game. Look aheadline here Tampa two and a half

(40:48):
last three forty six and a half my power in
Tampa minus three and a half the markets last night
I called it three slash two and a half more
threes than two and a halfs out there forty seven
and a half for Tampa and San Fran, and it's
all threes this morning. The two and answer gone forty
seven and a halfter prevailing number. San Fran will have
extra rest time slash prep time. They are a West

(41:12):
Coast team traveling east, but it's not an early start
game again. They've got out out gained by two point
two yeards for play, but they're still going to be
playing without Rock Perty and Nick Posa and George Kittle
and the top three wide receivers. You know, they're coming
off a huge division win in which you know they've
played in overtime. They're four and one. All four of

(41:34):
their wins have come by five points or last year
can make in case they stole all five. You know,
all four wins and San Fran could easily be oning
five right now when you know, they're in game after game.
And oh, by the way, they lost two more defenders
during the ball game. Kyla Davis and Gross Matos both
got hurt during the game to starting defensive alignment. Baker

(41:58):
was pretty special again yesterday, you know, twenty nine to
thirty three, three seventy nine, two touchdowns, no picks, eleven
point five yards per pass attempt, only four in completes.
That being said, other than Baker nineteen carries forty one yards.
They're still not running the footall effectively. They missed Bucky
Irving in that ballgame. The defense got absolutely gashed. They

(42:20):
didn't sack Donald once. Donald completed eighty two percent of
his passes. They give up six point one yards per rush,
ten yards per pass attempt. They allowed five touchdowns, no
field goals. Those are not good defensive numbers. That being said,
make case Baker's MVP right now. You know, ten touchdown passes,
one interception in five games. You know, and it's worth

(42:42):
noting Mayfield has been in Tampa for three years. He's
on his third offensive Cornador. Why he's gotten each of
the last two offens of the Cornators a head coaching job,
you know, William Cohen the latest example, but brutal list
of injuries for this team. Obviously, Mike Evans has hurt.
You got Tristan Wurs missed the first couple of games

(43:03):
this season. Two more starting off the lineman I got hurt.
Jalen McMillan is out, Bucky Irving has heard defense down
three starters. The Tampa injury report not pretty, which is
going to keep this line at three? It's not going
to go up to three and a half. All right.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
I'm gonna see if Baker can keep hanging on. I
kind of like the Bucks here in this one, Teddy.
Anything injury wise that you're looking at for that Niners
game before we move on to some more of the
other Sunday afternoon games. Last I saw party was week
to week. George Kittle hearing some different rumors he may

(43:41):
be back this week. Anything on your end as far
as the injury.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Report goes, not yet. No, I mean just a Sunday night,
You're not going to hear about who's you know, A
lot of that stuff comes out Monday and then throughout
the course of the week. But both Tampa and San
fran have significant injury concerns. The line could easily move
based on what we're going to see. I would not expect.
I'm not counting on Perdy being back this week, but really,
how much of a difference powering wise is there right

(44:05):
now between Perty and mac Jones.

Speaker 1 (44:06):
That's kind of what I was asking about Thursday Night Football.
And don't if I watch that game without sound and
no names on the back of the jersey, Mac Jones
look very brock Purty esque. All right, let's go into
the worst game on the slate this week. But just
because it's a bad game does not mean we cannot
find value, right Teddy?

Speaker 2 (44:25):
Shoot, I mean, look, I lost money betting the Jets
this week.

Speaker 1 (44:31):
Titan's take on the Las Vegas Raiders, we mentioned how
do the Cardinals respond after their ugly loss? Tennessee gotta win?
Brian Callahan not fired yet, Gino Smith turnover machine. My
guy has thrown eight interceptions so far this year. And
that is why I took the Colts last week. I
said I can't trust this team, especially on the road.

(44:53):
But now they're back at home and they're laying a
lot of points here, Teddy.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Yeah, and the Raiders' home field isn't worth a whole
lot all right, Allegiance Stadium is usually half filled with
opponent's crowd, and the Raiders have no history of winning
on this field. So if you're gonna say, oh, the
Raiders are at home, I give the Raiders as small
a home field edge as there is in the league.
Look a headline five and a half sass six forty
one and a half. My powering number Raiders three and

(45:18):
a half. And I crashed the Raiders in my power
rating after yesterday. I want no part. They look pretty bad.
And you read the quotes afterwards and you'll understand why. Uh,
six and forty one and a half's where it opened.
And we're already seeing five and a halfs And I'm
going to emergency bet togother at this right now, du
du you yeah, if you want to, if you want

(45:43):
Tennessee plus six, grab it. This can't hold. It can't.
The Raiders aren't good enough to lay six points. Now.
Admittedly the Titans needed. The Titans needed a break in
the worst way, and Arizona gave him about ten of them.
You know, they looked at in the water. They trailed
twenty one to three. They allowed three touchdowns up for
a drive. You know, and then boom, all of a sudden.

(46:03):
You know, they took advantage of a bunch of Cardinals mistakes.
But coach Callahan, you know who was everyone was calling
for him to be fired at halftime. You know, things
just have to go your way sometimes. We have had
a lot of those. So far this year, we haven't
had a lot of bounds in our favor. Sometimes you
need that. In the fourth quarter, cam Ward thirteen of eighteen,
one hundred and ninety three yards. You know, I wish
we had started better, but at the end of the day,

(46:25):
it doesn't matter how you start, it's how you finished.
Calvin Ridley, we needed it pretty bad. Just feel confident
moving forward. We should build from this. That being said,
Tennessee is a bad team off a win. Those teams
have not historically done very well. But you know, the
Raiders have been a disaster since Week one, all right.
They won a New England Week one, and they haven't
won a game since. Pete Carroll talked about how all

(46:47):
three phases were struggling. I forgot it was last week
or two weeks ago, and I think it was a
game in Washington where they were non competitive and they
were even more non competitive in Indie yesterday. Gino Smith
has nine interceptions. By the way, that's the most by
any Raiders quarterback in the first five games this season
since Jim Plunkett. The last NFL quarterbacks to have nine
interceptions in his team's first five games, that'd be Zach Wilson.

(47:11):
You never want to be compared with Zach Wilson. Pete
Carroll quote. It was really disappointing for us. That's such
a hard time getting into this game. We need to
change course from the way we're going talking about the
struggles of late. I'm processing it poorly, to tell you
the truth, because I did expect to win right out
of the shoots. So oh, by the way, both Titans

(47:36):
in active yesterday, that's the two best pass Catchersers, Bowers
is elite, Meyers. Could they lost another cornerback, Eric Stokes
hurt in that ball game. Raiders are coming apart at
the seams. Even with the tough spot for Tennessee, Raiders
can't hold at six, they really can't. Well, we'll see
them some Tennessee money between now and kickoff.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
All Right, Almost a twenty eight hundred of you guys
watching live, whether it's on the wager, Chuck, you do
channel X, et cetera. So thank you guys for that
jump in the comment section. Give us a like. Make
sure you hit that subscribe button so you never miss
another episode of the opening line report, Teddy, it is
Monday morning, so that means I made a mistake and
we got to go back to the one pm slate
because we've got the New England Patriots taking on the

(48:17):
New Orleans Saints. I don't know how I can forget
these two teams, Patriots off that nice Sunday night football win.
Admittedly I went to bed at halftime, so you're gonna
have to give me the cliff notes on how that
second half of the game went. Saints. Speaking of second half,
what a second half by them. They were able to
really capitalize on the mistakes of the New York Giants.
I was very happy, even though I laid a bad number,

(48:39):
I laid one with this team. It's very happy to
get the end result.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
What did you make a mistake on? I don't understand, Well, we.

Speaker 1 (48:46):
Were in the four pm slate and this is a
one pm game.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
Oh I'm sorry. We go out, we go in rotation order.
It's not that's you can make all the mistakes you
want like that, no big deal. You know, people figure
out what the start time is. Look at headline New
England three and a half and forty five against the Saints.
My powering number in New England three and a half.
The markets were three and a half and forty five
last night and we saw three and a half and

(49:10):
there were forty five and a half earlier this morning.
So we're not seeing anything from the markets right now.
And of course the Patriots coming off that was a
statement game win for New England in Buffalo last night.
You worry about a team like that off a win
like that, laying points on the road. I would not
call it an optimal New England spot. That being said,

(49:31):
don't be fooled by the Saints beating the Giants yesterday.
They went oher three in the red zone. They had
two point nine yards per carry, only five point four
yards per play. What did they do? They didn't turn
the ball over and they forced five. You know, when
you're plus five and turnovers, you're supposed to win. And
even with that, they needed an eighty seven yard passing
touchdown on a blown coverage, had an eighty six yard

(49:52):
full over a turn touchdown that flipped the game. Spencer
Rattlers now one to ten as a starter, you know quote,
it feels good to get that first win. Was a
team win. The defense played great, de Fid line was elite.
Taysom Hill made its first appearance of the season. Foster
Moreau was back on the defensive side after you know,
he got hurt last year. So two longtime veterans returning

(50:14):
to the roster. But now we're talking about a bottom
feet er off a win. I tapped the brakes on
New Orleans. They're not a team I'm excited about this week.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
All right, let's tap the brakes. Let's hit the gas
medal on this team. Teddy, I think I have to
go Packers and Survivor this week. Like I said about
the Colts, I needed a rocking chair winner. Surely this
is going to be a rocking chair Survivor winner. Double
digit favorite here the Bengals are taken on the green
Bay Packers.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
Look ahead thirteen and a half forty four. My powering
number only comes twelve and a half of the Packers,
and I've got green Bay price with the elite, So
maybe I'm not low enough on Cincinnati Markets opened fourteen's
last fourteen and a half last night forty four and
the fourteens are gone pretty much. It's mostly fourteen and
a half's out there right now for since the box

(51:03):
score is gonna lie For the Bengals Lions, they said
two hudred and six of their three hundred and twenty
two yards came in the fourth quarter when they trailed
twenty eight to three. And it wasn't that kind of
twenty eight to three from the Super Bowl. It was
Bengals with a backup quarterback who's struggling twenty eight to three.
They weren't coming back. And that's a third straight game
since he has scored just three points in the first

(51:26):
three quarters of the game. They scored twenty one in
the fourth. But you know, they've been out the last
three losses, I could, by a margin of one to
thirteen to thirty seven. You know, can they put Jake
Browning out there again? I don't know, Zach Taylor. After
a game like that, we're gonna look at all the
personnel to make sure we're doing the right thing. I

(51:47):
won't shy away from that, because a fair question after
the amount of turnovers we had we hung the defense
out to dry a couple times in a row. That's
my job. I call the plays on offense, and it
hasn't been good enough. I've got to keep us out
of danger. That's on me. So other options for Cincinnati.
They got Brett Ripen on the fifty three man roster.

(52:08):
They have Mike White and Sean Clifford on the practice squad.
We've seen pretty much every time that the coach has
gone I don't know. On Sunday night, we've seen a
quarterback change. We saw it with Joe Flacco this past week,
So I don't know Brown. There was a spark in
the fourth quarter. I don't know if enough of the
spark to keep him there. The Packers are off a

(52:30):
tie and a bye. They tied. They went nine for
eleven on third down. They didn't have a fourth time
conversion five or five into the red zone touchdowns, But
it was the first time all season where Jeff Affley's
defense got gashed in that game against Dallas. Tie and
a bye might be a pretty good motivator. Worst defensive
formance of the season by a wide margin might be
a pretty good motivator. That could all be bad news

(52:52):
for a Cincinnati team that is basically in free fall
right now.

Speaker 1 (52:55):
Yes, they are in free fall. It is not a
good time to be a Cincinnati Bengals fan. Let's get
into the double header up. I apologize, We've got to
go to Sunday night football first. Detroit is headed to
Kansas City. Kansas City still plays tonight Monday night football
in Jacksonville.

Speaker 2 (53:12):
Yeah, I'm gonna go quick with the Monday night games.
We'll just do a little beat beat, but because I
know we're running out of time. Look at line Kansas
City one and forty nine against Detroit. My powering number
also one and forty nine. The markets right now one
slash one and a half forty nine and a half
slash fifty. So we're seeing some over money for Detroit.
And of course Jared Goff only threw four in complete passes,

(53:34):
you know, and yesterday's day Monty Gibbs three thirty carry
one hundred and nineteen yards, control of the whole flow,
you know, the box score lies. We talked about how
since he got all those starts in the fourth quarter,
since the Week one lost to the Packers, Detroit has
scored fifty two thirty eight thirty four and thirty seven
points four and oh straight up four and oh against
the spread. But the Ravens, Browns, Bengals, Bears are not

(53:57):
a who's who of good NFL teams. Kansas City's better
than those squads. The oh the Chiefs look on Monday
Night football. If they look good, the one and a half,
the hold, the two to hold, I don't see Kansas City.
And if they blow out Jacksonville Lane in a full
field goal here, I don't see it.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
Teddy, real quick power ratings wise, how far do you
have these two teams apart on a neutral field? Say
one one and a half? Maybe?

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Yeah, I have Detroit a one point better on.

Speaker 1 (54:27):
A neutral Okay, perfect, That's all I wanted to know,
just out of curiosity. Now let's get into these two
Monday night football games. If you guys are going to
hang around right after this, we got Andy Langhardy in
the comments section. Wager Talk today is up in five minutes,
So let's get Teddy going here. The Buffalo Bills just
got absolutely shocked last night by the New England Patriots.
Now they head to Atlanta to take on the Falcons.

Speaker 2 (54:49):
Yeah, look a headline here, Buffalo minus four and a
half slash minus five total of fifteen and a half.
My powering number Bills four and a half. The market's
open three and a half and forty nine. The three
and a halfs are holding. The total has been bet down.
There are still forty eight and a half's out there,
and let's do one final emergency betting alert. Let's do

(55:12):
one final emergency betting alert. It's like I'm on the trigger.
I'm on the trigger. Yeah, if you want the under bettit.
Right now, we're seeing the markets are the prevailing numbers
forty eight. There are forty seven and a half's out
there right now. This is already down from forty nine
and a half. But I don't know that even the
forty eighths are gonna hold for this ballgame. There are

(55:33):
concerns right now about Buffalo offensively, the Bills off the
Sunday night football loss against the Patriots, the Falcons off
the win versus Washington, and then the bye week last
week last year worth noting Rahee Marris out of the
bye week, I lost at home of the Chargers seventeen
to thirteen. And we'll see how fat and happy Atlanta
is coming off a buy and a win, Buffalo likely

(55:57):
to be hungry coming off the Sunday night football law.

Speaker 1 (56:00):
All Right, the Bills at the Commanders is our second
Monday night football game, Teddy, should I be wary? The
Commanders were kind of on that longer list to play
for survivor. Is this a spot where you're saying, ah,
be careful.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
The Bears are playing the Commanders. Look at line Washington
four and a half and fifty. My powering number five
and a half, so higher than the markets on Washington
right now. Last night opened four and a half and fifty,
and we're seeing some Chicago money as low as three
and a half. Had a lot of books, you know.
I mean the Commanders gashed the Chargers defense all game.

(56:37):
Deebok Saniel huge at the game of McLaurin, didn't show
up to Cory Krossky Merritt, averaging six point six yards
per full season. They outgained the Chargers by one point
nine yards per play. There's things to like about Washington
and they din't even play particularly well. And yesterday's game
the Bears coming off a win and a buy four
takeaways against the Raiders in that victory, and they still

(56:58):
only use you know, looking like one of the worst
team in the league, Chicago only one by one after
blocking the potential game winning field goal attempt advantage. In
my opinion situationally Washington, not Chicago.

Speaker 1 (57:11):
All right, Teddy covers at Teddy underscore covers on all
your social media channels WT dot, buzz, backslash, TC. If
you're looking to partner up with Teddy, Teddy, let everybody
know what you've got going on, not only for football season,
but as I mentioned, NBA is right around the corner sure.

Speaker 2 (57:26):
And baseball playoffs. I mean, the baseball playoffs have been
fantastic four and one so far this season. I think
it's fourteen and four dating back till last year in
MLB playoff action. The football has been a good run
the last fifteen and seven. I think it is with
my football players over the last two and a half weeks.
The NBA number one all time. That way your talking
since don start, not all times since twenty twenty two,

(57:48):
I'm number one or the two hundred units of profit.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
