Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome on into the Non Tender podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Welcome in, Welcome, and welcome in.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
I almost was going to say, don't say anything for
a while so we can pretend again, just because every
time you're not here for a couple of weeks, it's
just I just I want to It's like the same
joke with the reoccurrence and get some.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
People going gets a wild again.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Yeah, I was telling you I sort of comment on
one of the recent ones that said suspicious hand wasn't
at the baby shower, like you just buy it from
my life.
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah, exactly, like I don't have my own ship going on.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
In the world.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
You know.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
It was a shame you want there. We didn't talk,
I know, but you had you had work less.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, I had things I had to do for sure.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
But you'll you'll, you'll be there at the birth. I
am I invited to that. No, but no you're not.
And here's why you're not. Here's why nobody is. Because
I was invited too. I am my god kids uh birth. Yeah,
my friend Billy and his wife had their kid and
(00:59):
I went to go see them the hospital and I
walked in like just after he was born, Like and
when I say, just after I mean immediately after, right,
and so there was like compromising positions.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
I will I will say that an invitation to a
birth is like a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
You know so well. I mean we were very close,
but it was a scene I walked in. I was like,
I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be here, right, I
don't know why I'm here? Hey, you know what else
is the scene?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
Would what.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
The episode three? By the way, before we got too
far away from ourselves. No, I appreciate it. Weather is
getting nice. We had like a seventy degree day the
other day. I took my new car out for a
drive with Kim.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I would still like to take a drive in it.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
We will you today today. Today we gotta go get
ze Blade actually from games. So after this episode, him
and I'm going to drive the game stock and also
apparently I don't want to talk about it. What we're eating?
And why sure? I said to him, and we getting
We get in the hot, hot Nashville chicken shop and
I got slapped in the face with I'm on the.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Grind, I'm slendering, I'm watching my girls. I lost seventeen pounds.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
I'm so proud. I had no idea this was happening.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
I'm trying my best.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
I have tried to get you to do this since
really i've known you, and you've always been so hesitant.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
You just don't know. You haven't been trying to get
me to do like, no, listen, what you've been trying
to do is get me. You've been saying we should
we should work out together. That's not that's kind of
how you say. And I just like, and I'm just like,
I don't know, I don't know if I really want
to like work out, because like what you seem to
be doing in there seems like a whole lot.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
But I would take you, I would put the baby
wheels on for you. I wouldn't take you on like it.
And here's why. My friend Super Derek it was in
a similar position to you at one point, right. I
took him to the gym once and tried to put
I didn't even really push him that hard, but I
was trying to get him to do what I do
and he ended up having some kind of liver failure
from essentially just sitting down at a desk and being
(03:09):
overweight his whole life to trying to push his body
too far his body couldn't process the breakdown of whatever
was happening inside him with like muscles like break apart.
For the first time. He had to go to the
hospital and he was on an IV for like two
or three days. So I would feel terrible. I felt terrible.
So I've learned my lesson, and now you would be
(03:30):
walking on a treadmill at most.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Well that's what I'm doing now. I do that. And actually,
I mean he said it was seventy degree day out,
you know. I was walking around the park, you know,
and it was just nice. It's nice to be outside.
And it does a lot for my mental health too,
much more than I anticipated. It's like nobody told me
that you go for a walk and it's going to
fix your brain.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
Oh god, dude, I have. I swear I have. This
is what I've been trying to tell Kim too, because
Kim does not manage to ever bring herself to do
any kind of fitness, which up until which isn't her
fault because she's pregnant. It's never been an issue because
her metabolism is insane. But I keep telling her for
your mental health, like go for a walk, you'll feel amazing.
(04:09):
People don't realize.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
People don't realize how much taking a drink of water,
going going for a walk right does for your mental health.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
And I can, I can so many terrible It's not
even like there's so many elements to it. Let me
get preachy. It's part one. It's the fact that you're
doing something to self improve. It's the mental like reset
of I'm actually doing something. I'm setting goals and I'm
hitting them. That's one. That's number two. It's actually moving
your body and getting endorphins going and getting your body
(04:39):
like warmed up. It makes you feel better. It like
pushes out negative toxins and all that crap. Number three
literally just vitamin D getting sun and like absorbing it
into your skin makes you feel happier.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Well, I take vitamin D supplements because told me that
that I've been my vitamin D was dangerously low because
I just never go outside. But what you're saying about
the goals and stuff, it is very true because like
like two things I mentioned this on street on my
stream the other day because I'm a streamer apparently, was that,
I uh, part of like me going out and walking
either at the gym or outside, is that like when
(05:12):
I'll be walking at the gym, I take a picture
of the treadmill every time, so I know that I'm
walking further every single time that I do it in
the same amount of time, which is good. Right. And
then when I'm at the park, I'm walking further around
the park every time that I do it, which is
also good. And then I've the notice that i've the
notice and change I have at home is that when
I go, when I spray my hair, because it's so
beautiful the way that it is, and I hold my
breath to do so I don't feel like I'm gonna
(05:34):
FAINTI do it.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
My God, there you go. You're doing great. Yeah, And
now I need you to commit to this because now
that we talked.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
About it, I'm here for it. I'm here for the.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah, we got it in a year from now. We
eat it before and after.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I'm fine with that. And also I am fine with
working out with if you want to do a workout
at some point, I'm happy to do it. Yeah, but
let's do it like after I get back from Japan
and all that stuff. You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (05:56):
That Japan will help you too with all the walking,
although the food will counteract it. But if you come
and stay after an episode, we can work out in
the morning before you leave.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
True, Yeah, I can be down, all right, We need it.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
We need to move on.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
This is not this is a gaming podcast.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah. I got yelled at last week for talking about
my baby, although to be fair, all the comments on
the episode were like very nice about wanting to hear
about the baby. There's no other improvements. Kim her back's
on fire, so she's taking the day thankfully. Hams here
so I'm not alone. The only thing I want to
say is I had a funny thought today. Kim and
(06:33):
I have been sharing each other so many cute like
toddler and baby videos and Instagram reels and tiktoks that
our feeds are now all like baby stuff that'll happen,
which is very cute and very fun. And I messaged
Kim today and I'm like, I hope we're not putting
unrealistic expectations on our baby to be this funny because
every clip the babies are hilarious and they're doing such awesome,
(06:53):
like wholesome cute things. What if we get our baby
and he's just like botting a stoic he's just a kid,
just an adult baby, and we keep filming him like
do something funny.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Comes out in a suit? You know.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, he's all business boss baby baby for sure. All
right enough Jesus Nintendo, all right, let's talk. So today's
topic is all about a lot of things. Actually, I
got some things in the dock, some fun things. But
let's just start with what the title is, which is
can we get is it possible? Can we entertain the
(07:27):
concept of themes on this new Nintendo Switch.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
I'm here to entertain it all day.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Now, I know you're a big fan. Now this is
something I would already have had a conversation about. But
we have another really really fun I'm loving all of
these fan mock up trailers. I don't know when, like
just people got so good at designing corporate trailers because
they all look so realistic. And here's another one if
you want to cut over this is let me get
(07:55):
the username Noah about introducing Swiss OS two point zero,
complete with like music and sounds and swishes and swooshes.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
It's very well done.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's so well atomated it looks official. So it's his
concept essentially for what themes could look like, which is essentially,
to be honest, the concept I think we've all had
in mind. Yeah, and a lot of just the static
jpeg concepts that people buck up sometimes. I really like this.
I like the idea of being able to almost Mario
(08:29):
paint your your own Mario theme kind of like decide
where you want to put clouds or a Yeah, it's
really sick. Yeah. It also is in deviating too far
away from the current theme. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
I mean I'm happy as long as long as there's
a dark theme, you know, I like a dark theme for.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Everything, well for the current one. Yeah, but I'm just saying,
you know, that's your onet, what's already there.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
I mean I don't I don't dislike what we already have.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
I mean what we have is fine. Yeah, I think people,
I think here's what. Here's what themes do for a
console like this that Nintendo I feel like missed out
on this generation is the switch is such a personal
device to people. It's why people get so attached to
it because it's mobile, because you it can like it's
attached to your hip. Essentially, you can take it to bed, tickets,
(09:21):
to the toilet, take it out of the house, take
it on a train ticket, on an airplane ticket to
another country. It comes with you like a phone. So
it's very much an accessory at that point. And everyone
likes to customize their accessories, you know, whether it's your
mobile phone, you change your home screen, you put a
picture of your dog or your wife or your husband,
or your crush or whatever as the crush the home screen.
(09:43):
You know, it's a very forward move that well, yeah,
I mean imagine that though, like your crush season. They
don't know and then why am I on your phone background?
But then that speaks that's the conversation. Oh yeah, unless
they don't like them. Ah, it's not default into that.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Nobody likes.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
It's that thing where it's creepy if they're not perceived
as hot, but if they're hot, it's attractive.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
True. Um.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Yeah, everyone wants to personalize the thing they have attached
to their hip, right and for a lot of us,
the switch was that, so not being able to customize
it was a little frustrating. Yeah, having to take this
blank white screen around with us, or dark theme screen
in Ham's case, everywhere that we go and not being
able to adjust it, especially coming off of the three
DS which had a pretty robust customizational home screen. I
(10:35):
think there was a theme shop. Actually I chat gpted
this because I forgot, but there was a theme shop.
You could download themes for for like all your favorite games,
and you could customize your home screen, and that felt personalized,
it felt unique. I'm really not sure why Nintendo didn't
do this and leaned away from this with the Switch,
because it would just make you feel even more connected
(10:58):
to the device that you're already connected to, make make
it feel more personal, make me, make me want to
use it more rather than something else, right, or even
like get that satisfaction of customizing somewhere else, Like you know,
this is pretty.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
On your phone.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
My phone started playing the podcast. You guys probably didn't
hear that. It was just off to my left. What
was I saying? Pretty extreme, But some people would buy
like little handheiled Retroy devices or even like the Rock
Ally and they would throw like custom boot software on
there to make it look like the Switch home screen,
but they would try customizing it. It's like all these
lengths people go to.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
If you were like make some custom background for like
the Enbernik r G thirty five xx that was like
based on like my hand radio streams that I do
so mm hmmm, mm hmmm.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Sorry, I'm listening. I'm trying to be enthusiastic today.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, well, we'll know more about the theme when the
switch comes. The switch thing happens in how many days? Ah,
that was really quiet.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
To cranker do it again. I love it.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
I'll turn it up at this time.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
But thirteen days, that's actually insane.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
It's less than two weeks.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
It is one day less than two weeks.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Really wild.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
That is crazy. Also, that means in fifteen days I'll
be going to New York to do the hands on preview.
So it's that's so crazy to think about. In thirteen
days we'll see it and everything. In fifteen days, i'll
be able to touch it. Yeah, I'll be holding I'll
be one of the first people in the world actually
(12:45):
on the first day of the first hands on preview.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Very exciting.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
The only people that will beat me is the people
in Group A because I picked Group B, which means
I'm going in the afternoon and there's a Group A
going in the morning. And I sent over the bondus
QR code that a fan of the show, God what
was his name? Let me give him a shout out here. Actually,
(13:09):
I was messaging him yesterday to make sure he was
still okay with me using it. Maybe should I say
his name? I don't know. When Nintendo get mad at him,
I'll thank him after.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
What are you? What are they offering you? What are
they giving you?
Speaker 1 (13:22):
He gave me a QR code to get into the event.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Oh, I thought you got that on your own. I
thought you had.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
No, I got one.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
And then bizarrely, this guy who lives on the other
side of the world in Europe also applied for the
New York event on the same day in the same session,
got accepted, decided he didn't want to go, and gave
me his QR code.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
So who's going to get that? Okay, yeah, I can't
go anyways, So well, I'm not offended.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
That if I could get multiple you would be the
next person because Kim can't travel also. But my first
thought when I got this code was if if if
it was the other way around and I couldn't get
in and Bob got one and he had one extra code,
I would hope and pray he would offer it to
(14:08):
me and not like a cameraman or someone else. To
come in because we can film for each other. So
my first thought was, I need to get my boy in.
I need to make sure that he's also getting a
chance to touch this and film this and clip that
out of context. So we're gonna we're gonna double joint this.
We're gonna go in together, same time, same session, Me
(14:29):
and Bob. Actually quite unbelievable that that happened, and a
big thank you. I want to thank this person, but
I'm gonna wait until I'm gonna say his name after
I've been in, after we've both been in, so the
Nintendo doesn't figure it out and shut down that code
or something. I'm just so paranoid.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
I feel you've already said a lot.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
I know, I know so, and hopefully it even works.
Hopefully it even works, and that the one I'm not
being trolled, which it doesn't seem like I am. This
guy's very nice, and two that there's not some stipulation
where you need ID or something along with the code, right,
you know. But I told Bob, I was like, I
(15:05):
think this will work, not one hundred percent, and he's like, hey,
if it doesn't work, we'll get dinner in Manhattan. I
was like, okay, cool, fair, So I.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Could just use your footage and then edit his hands
into it.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Hey, he can have the footage if he wants it
if he can't get in. But I think we'll be good.
I think we'll both be able to get in, which
is cool because then we can both film for each other.
We can take turns with the switch to in fifteen days.
That's so exciting, dude, I'm really stoked. I'm really excited.
And then obviously a couple of days before that, we're
hopefully going to see more special features. I don't know
(15:41):
if we'll find out anything about any kind of like
me Verst Street Pass, other like weird software gimmicks or
hardware gimmicks, or even look at like launch lineup, but
we might. We might see a launch lineup in thirteen days.
We might know what when it's launching. For one, we
need a date of the actual console lunch and the
games that's launching with, and a deeper look at Mario cap.
(16:04):
I'm actually getting really excited for Mario Cup.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I'm so excited for Mario Kart, going to be sick,
big fan of Mario Kart. Did you see the new
Mario Car merch stuff that they're selling up the well.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
Okay, okay, but yeah it's soon to me yea yea yeah, yeah,
no I can. I don't know if I have that
duck pointed. No, that's uh the Mariocott merch is sick.
But that's been there for a minute. I thought it
was funny when they shared that. I was like, that's
gonna it's gonna seem like they just did that. But
no they they are you going to get a jacket.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
I'm gonna have to slim down a.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Bit, probably, sure they have their size. I don't know, man,
Mario catt an tender store h shut jacket.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
Like you're talking about like the bomber jacket, right, like, yeah,
here it is?
Speaker 3 (16:49):
This?
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Right? Uh? Yeah? Is that a jack? Is it like
a bar like a windbreaker?
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Or is it like it's like it's like what they
wear in the right in the racing in the racing
cart in the in the like.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
I can't tell. I can't tell if it's more of
a windbreaker or like an actual like you know what
I mean, like the material.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I think it's I have no idea, like is it
just a zipper hoodie? Wait here we go. This is
maybe this picture here you can fabric I don't know
what it's like what they wear when they what's the Nascar, right,
that's what it's called Nascar. Yeah, I mean it's cool.
Every time I've seen it in the store, though I've
kind of been like in one hundred bucks, it's not
(17:27):
that cool.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Yeah, I don't think I.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
I think if it was more like tattered out with badges,
I'd be more interested. It's almost too conservative.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Like if they if they went super nuts and like
so many like like faux like like sponsor brands and stuff,
you know, which I think is something that would be
more like based on what we saw in the the
Switch to reveal, right, like from the the Mario car footage,
like there's probably a lot of things that probably would
be able to be shown as like.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Maybe they'll do another one another one. Zip you see
this with all the little that's yeah, pretty sick. Yeah anyway,
any who, any who?
Speaker 2 (18:10):
I like it. I like it?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yeah, uh me too, Oh me too. These are these themes.
Let's go back to these themes. I got a little
distracted by how soon that event is?
Speaker 2 (18:19):
The it coming so soon soon? I was gonna say that,
but yeah, no, it's like it's exciting for you and
for the channel and for for the podcast and everything
like that.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
I mean, the weeks go by so quickly. I feel
like I'm always sight here doing the podcast and next episode,
when that doom comes up, it'll say.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Six days, six days remaining.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Which I'm now realizing that's going to be tight. So
I'm guessing that means it's Wednesday. So Wednesday will be
the event, the direct and then I will react to
the event on my channel live and then make a video.
Then on Thursday, you'll probably come here and we'll do episode. No,
(19:01):
you won't be here on Thursday. Me and Kim will
be here reacting. Where will you be?
Speaker 2 (19:07):
I I don't I don't want to be specific about
my travel days.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
On Thursday, Kim and I will be here reacting to
the event, and then on Friday, I'll be driving up
to New York to touch it, and then Friday night
I'll probably come back and film my thoughts on touching
it and try and get that video edited up and
put up the next day on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
That's a busy four days, yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
The type four days very tight for I actually had
I'm going to talk about this because I don't know why.
I'm just talking. I had a sponsor, Yeah, keep talking ahead.
I had a sponsor reach out. They do like switch accessories,
and they're doing a switch to accessory. Oh is it
sat on the power? You're saying that? But was I
(19:53):
vibrating this whole time?
Speaker 2 (19:54):
A little bit?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Got it?
Speaker 2 (19:56):
But it's okay.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
We forgot to check that.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
It's okay. It was. It was barely noticeable.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
I had a sponsor reach out and they how's the
audio sound? Chat? Let me bring up chat.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
It sounds good now. There was the volume on your
video was too loud before, so I've adjusted for the
next thing. Whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
What's Chat saying about.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Well, they haven't complained. And in the business that I'm in,
if nobody's complaining, then you're doing a good job.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
So I'm bringing up chat just to make sure. Oh
I look good right now? Sorry I don't look good.
My lighting looks good?
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Right now? You do look good? No, you look good? Okay,
I look okay, and I look good. Look we both
look good.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
My head looks greasy.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Oh stop it.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
The video was too loud.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
Uh yeah, well I just I just said that and
I already told you I had.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
A sponsor reach out, and they were like, we really
want to be on your Nintendo Direct reaction video. Oh yeah,
And I was like, that makes sense because when I
reacted to the two minute and twenty two second thing
that has like seven hundred thousand yeah, I was on trending,
But that makes sense. But I don't really like putting
sponsors on those videos because I kind of want to
keep it to like the excitement. And they were like,
(21:04):
what if we paid you this much money? And I
was like that's insane. All right, I'll figure it out then.
And by the way, it was so it was a lot.
It was a lot. It was double my usual rates.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Someone's going to find a way to be upset about that,
but it doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
Well, let me finish the thought, because in my head,
I was like, well, you're making a switch to accessory.
I'm essentially getting to reveal that accessory here in a
switch to the reaction. And also I'm having a baby, like,
no one's going to be upset that I took a
sponsor right now, I feel. And then as soon as
I said yes, like a couple of weeks went by
and I didn't hear from them, and I was like,
(21:40):
are we doing this? And then my management is like,
they're fighting us on the price, they're trying to get
it lower.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
You're the one that what You're the one that said high.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
So I don't think it's I don't think it's happening.
I think they backed out. They were like, oh, we
didn't know you'd say yes, I sucked. I was really
excited for that. Anyway, themes. Sorry, I'm all over the
place speaking of themes. What's the theme of the episode? Themes?
I don't really know where we left off. I'm so
scatterbrain because I'm so excited. Yeah, will they do themes? So,
(22:16):
I think this time around, especially because with the switch
to they're trying to convince people to upgrade, they're trying
to convince people to buy it. They're trying to make
it stand out. They're trying to make it obvious that
it's different. I think they're going to want to do
a lot of things that they've been holding off from
doing that we've been asking. So I actually think it is,
(22:37):
in my opinion, more likely than not that we'll get
a lot of these things we've been asking for, like
themes because it's such a simple thing to do, and
when you think about it, if they handle it the
same way they did for the three DS and they
create like a theme shop where you have to buy
and download themes, they stand to make money from something
as simple as themes, something as simple as customizing your switch.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
It was so missing from the Switch one that I
almost wonder if certain things like this were a tactic
the whole time. Yeah, like eight years without it to
then give it to us on the new thing, to
make everybody want the new thing or to find the
new thing more endearing. I think a lot of this
stuff and the and the lack of what we've been
(23:20):
wanting from Nintendo has been strategy into into boosting up
the Switch too, because the Switch one was already successful,
Like adding themes to it is a drop in the bucket,
but trying to make the Switch to as successful as
Switch one, they're going to have to pull out all
the stops.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
Yeah. But I mean, I mean, good on Nintendo for
listening to their audience.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
You know, well yeah, if that is what manipulating, but
also listening.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
I guess yeah, well if you really I don't know
if if they're doing such a big brain play, like
you say, where it's like, oh, they're withholding this stuff
from us so that we really want it, you know,
you think so.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
I mean, it's a little dirty, but I don't think
it's that crazy to think it.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Is pretty dirty. But it also could like you could
also attribute it to just like them being incompetent and lazy.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
For for a long time and not want and just
not want competent. So I mean, even if it wasn't
on purpose, I still think they would be thinking about
it right now, like, oh, that's something we could do
that we didn't do last time, for sure.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
For sure. Five dollars from Prof Rocks is can't say
for the live show. Wishing you all the best. Great
to see you back camp, Great to see you back.
Speaker 1 (24:29):
Thank you so much, thank you, Oh, thank you so
much for saying that.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Thank you very kind.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
Um. Yeah, no, I don't really. I don't know what
else to say about the themes. What do you guys think,
get to.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
A p what kind of theme would you want to see?
Speaker 1 (24:41):
Do a pole over there about whether or not we'll
get themes? What kind of theme would I want to see? Well,
I mean obviously Zelda, which we'll definitely get. I just
wonder like how customizable it would be, Like will you
be able to put your own backgrounds? Probably not, because
Nintendo was so restrictive with things. They won't want anyone
taking a picture a big ding dong ding along and
(25:01):
then uploading it to their home thing and sharing it
online being like here's my penis switch, you know. Yeah,
so it'll probably be only like assets that you can
grab from a Nintendo store or an app. But that's
still cool. You know, you can do like a Zelder
background with triforces everywhere, or sure, you know little Mario
Man's running around the theme.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Yeah, I see nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Let me see here, we have a poll in chat
where we get themes. Oh, I can't vote.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
Because it's not like right now hell chat.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Hell yeah No, I definitely want it, and I think
there is incentive for them to do it. I don't
think there's even incentive for them not to do it.
It's just something else that would separate the look and
feel of this console, because that's really again, that's their
whole thing is like this is a different console. And
(25:54):
if they have just a standard white and black theme
when you look at it turned on, it's going to
look too similar to the first one. But if you
have like a Zelda background or this that on the
other it's like, oh, you couldn't do that before. This
must be a switch to right. But like it just said,
it just.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Separates someone in Chad. I just said, I just want folders,
and I think that's valid, you know.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
That was another point I was going to bring up
is on the Wii, you were able to really customize
your whole thing, Like you had all of those like squares,
and you could I think you could do folders.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
I don't remember. I'm in fact, well I don't say
I don't remember. I never owned a Wiu.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
My roommates do folders? Even? Could you do folders on
three ds?
Speaker 2 (26:39):
I'd britially always seem like a pretty important and essentially
easy thing to implement, right, let me.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Know about the folders chat? No, yeah, I agree. But
the way you had like all those boxes and you
could put anything anywhere you wanted. It was like an
iPhone almost of like I want this app here in
this app here, and.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
That would be nice, that would be nice.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
It's something that done so many times before. I don't
know why folders with three DS. I believe bom I
were they we though.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
Son. I hope they eliminate friend codes. I don't think
that's gonna happen, but I do also wish the same thing.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
I you know what, I think they I think they might, Yeah,
well not eliminate because it's gonna be all backwards compatible
with Switch one, so I think you have to keep
friend codes. But I do think they they have incentive
to in reduce an easier way of adding friends on
top of that, like just adding in names or adding
(27:35):
in something or like QR cod I don't know, like
just something else.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
Also on top of it. Yeah, no, I agree. They
need to take away the friend limit too. I think
that's so dumb.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
That dumb. They also need to now we're just getting
into the weeds. They need to make it so you
can delete more than one friend at a time.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Oh God, that sucks. Yes, you're so right, that might be.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
It might be just a problem for like streamers and people.
That a problem for me, Yeah, because like when you
got it so frustrating when you want to play games
with anybody on Switch and you want to add them
to your party, you always have to be their friends.
And so when we're streaming and we're trying to play
games with chat, or we're doing Mario Party, Mario Kart,
any of that, we always have to add the people
(28:17):
watching us as a friend. They can't just join the
lobby by a code.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Sometimes sometimes they have with Mario Kart, they've got they
got the tournament mode now, but it's not the same no. Yeah,
so it's like I can't be like, I want sixteen
people in or twelve people in. I guess back then
now it'll be more right whatever, it's thirty two or
something like that. Spam call you, but I want thirty
(28:41):
two people in this room right now. I don't want
to be friends with all of them, but I want
to do like a little tournament. It's really frustrated, you know,
Grand Prix short for us as streamers, we have to
add a lot of people as friends.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Yeah, and then when you want to delete them because
you hit the cap and you want to add more people,
three button presses, three button presses, and it's like this
per delete wait and then it deletes in the next person.
Is so frustrating.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
The worse disincentivizes streamers from doing group.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
I hate adding people on my friends list. I absolutely
hate it.
Speaker 2 (29:15):
Yeah you heard that here. If you're friends with wood
on Switch thing, you're particularly special.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
So I had someone else said I can only delete
a hundred pictures at a time. That's another one. When
you do screen share so or pictures. So when I'm
making video reviews or video game reviews, I very often
will take pictures while I'm playing, so when I go
back through, I remember certain parts to talk about in
the review. Or I'll do like a whole thirty second
video and I'll be like, I'll save that for later.
(29:40):
I have thousands of pictures and videos, and they actually
fill up the sd cut to the point where you
can't install new games sometimes. So I'll go through and
try and delete them, and you have to hold and drag,
but you can only drag to one hundred at a time.
And when you have thousands and you have to wait
for them to delete the hundred you just dragged, that's
another thing that takes forever.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yeah, the same as my Gmail in box. I hate that,
you know, stupid got four ninety nine from Munching munch
Lax says. I've heard slash read a few rumors that
some retailers in European region were already told to be
ready for May fifteenth launch date. What are your thoughts?
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Oh wait, what.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Super chat.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
This was also something that someone tweeted just May fifteenth
with eyes look like Imogi and they're in the Switch
space and every I don't know matter who that was,
and people were like, what does this mean? May fifteenth?
So May fifteenth for launch date, people being told to
be ready, No, I think that's one hundred percent likely date.
(30:39):
We've talked about this already, and beyond the two to
two two of it all and trying to find out
where the twos line up and all of that theory,
there's another working theory that the Switch I think this
is actually just part of it. The Switch one, from
when it was announced to when it was revealed to
(31:02):
when it released all coincided up the same way that
we're trajectoring right now, even with the hands on previews,
with the last hands on preview being in like Seoul,
Hong Kong somewhere around there, and the Switch actually came
out two weeks before that hands on event, which doesn't
really make a lot of sense, but two weeks before
(31:24):
the Soul event this time is middle of May. It
is literally May fifteenth, so I don't know how true
that is. Actually, I haven't heard that that European region
were told to be ready for May fifteenth. I did
see that one guy had tweeted May fifteenth, and that
does line us up pretty much to be in the
same situation that the Switch one was, So I can
totally see a mid May release. Anywhere between mid May
(31:47):
to the end of May is what I'm at. It
is what I'm thinking.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
Yeah, I was on the impression was June, but I
guess I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
So June is what it seemed to be. The on
paper seemed to be the obvious answer because the last
hands on event preview is in June, so why would
it come out anywhere before June. It seems like we're
leading up to June. But until that information was made
more public or brought to people's remembrance, I suppose that
(32:17):
the Switch one actually came out before the hands on finished.
It's like, oh, well, then it could be. It could
be any time in May because the hands on s
don't matter.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Apparently my birthdays in June, jat.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
My baby's coming May first. Yeah, so May fifteenth. I'm
gonna be about two weeks into my first time being
a dad, and I would definitely still be on no sleep.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
I feel for you, brother.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
It's gonna be tough. He does seem like.
Speaker 2 (32:44):
There are better ways that I could help with that.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
It does seem like, yeah, he's gonna come earlier, which
would be nice if we could get like a month
into the baby when this switch comes. I feel like
a month in is a good spot made it. Yeah,
it's at least you're in a routine of being tied
at that point. Yeah, you know, two weeks I feel
like you're still kind of like what is happening? But
(33:08):
a month is like this is my life now?
Speaker 2 (33:11):
True. Yeah. I got like, I got an ad for
some baby monitor thing on the way down here, and
I was like that would be good for wood because
it was like apparently that people who have it get
like fifteen percent more sleep or something. I was like,
that's crazy, that that's like the good statistic is.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
Me that whatever that is?
Speaker 2 (33:30):
Yeah, I don't even remember what it was. No free
cloud though.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
So Octo in chat, who I believe is Max, saying
June for sure, late June release date. I am leaning
towards May. But that's only based on into these inside
like rumors and tweets and suggestions, and also what happened
last time. If it ends up being June, Max, I
(33:55):
will jump for joy.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Do you think there will be that'll be awesome? Like
a pre order date? Maybe you know.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
Preorder I'm trying to remember what happened last time. Let
me see. Let me look up my old video of
pre ordering the switch and when that came, when that released.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
I feel like a pre order date order would.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Which beat them ups because that's a good date point.
Here we go, how I pre ordered my Nintendo Switch?
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Are we watching this?
Speaker 1 (34:22):
Well? I don't know. This is five minutes long?
Speaker 2 (34:25):
God?
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Should we? We could?
Speaker 2 (34:28):
I'm in the screen chair, button you got sc.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Hold on. I'm looking at the date January seventeenth. January seventeenth,
and then when did it come out? March? So January
February March so two months literally about two months before
the pre orders went live. So if it's coming out,
let's say March fifteenth. Uh, what's too sorry, my brain's
(34:56):
over the place. May fifteenth, what's two months before that?
It's now? Right?
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Yeah, it's like it's literally it's it's like five days ago. Mmmm.
Speaker 1 (35:07):
So if they want to do two months of pre
orders again, we're past that, Like it would have to
come out early mid June. If they want to do
two months of preorders.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
If they're doing well, yeah, if they're doing two month
preorders based on when they do the reveal at the
direct and the hands on thing that you're doing right,
and they do pre orders starting around then, then it
would coincide with the June release.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
So it's true they might not. They might not feel
like they need to do a two month wind up
of pre orders. But let's just see what I talked
about in this video. Oh, this is when my hair
was messed up. Someone did, I honestly don't like pizza.
I hated that.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
You don't like pizza?
Speaker 1 (35:55):
What? No, I don't.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
We talked about this, just like in general, have we
talked about it. I remember, I.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
Don't like pizza because I don't like the way I
feel after I eat pizza. It makes me look at
pizza and I now feel preemptively sick when I see pizza.
She like, I went to the hair person because I
worked at a restaurant and my hair was always up
and I had little scragglies and I was like, could
you take care of them? And she just like shaved
(36:23):
like so much of.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
My head like an undercut.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
It just looks ridiculous. Look at it. I hated it,
Like pizza, it's too greasy. I was trying to remember,
trying to fluff out this video to get any sort
of time out of it. I even go to home
deep Oh, I car in the video. It has nothing
to do with getting a up freaking pre order. Sorry, uh,
(36:48):
here we go. It's about it's about here a game
style switch four minutes is absolutely fluff. And then I'm like,
they're out. Yeah, so this is I guess, no, no, no,
(37:08):
this is a good jump down memory lane. So the
Switch preorders were impossible to find, like notoriously impossible to find.
They sold out immediately. So we went around to several
EB games in our little county country whatever it's called
in Canada, what is it called in Canada province, province,
(37:30):
and they were all sold out. And then finally it
will probably be in here somewhere. We found one EB
Games that when we walked in they immediately said they
I just knew what I was looking for. They were
like we're out of Neon ones, which is what everyone wanted,
was the one they like, but we have a couple
of Gray ones left. That's what it was like. It
(37:51):
was two months I wanted the Gray one anyway for
some reason. This is two months before it launched and
all the pre orders were gone. It was so hard
to get a switch, and then people were scalping them
and people couldn't for the first like several months, it
was so hard to even find one on the shelves.
So that's the whole thing this time with Nintendo saying
that they're making enough to satisfy something like what was
(38:17):
the number, like ten million or something twenty the wrong guy?
I think it was twenty million or something.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
What was it?
Speaker 1 (38:23):
Chat We talked about it in an episode recently. Nintendo
was saying they've made like I think it for some reason,
I'm thinking twenty two million was the number that they
have ready to go for the first year to make
sure they do not run out of stock, which is
really it behooves them. Like I think there's a level
of when things are being scalped and sold for a lot,
there's like a there's like an image thing that makes
(38:44):
it look very valuable, like everybody wants to get one,
and I think it drives the wand up. But the
reverse negative side of that is so many people are
buying it from a scalper rather than buying it from Nintendo.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
How that money doesn't go to Nintendo. It's like they're losing.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Using a sale too. So if they actually want to
compete with the switch one launch, I think they are
really having hope that they don't need to have this
image of oh, everyone wants it but can't get it,
and that everyone's just gonna want it and it's gonna
be there and they're gonna buy it. And it was
a guy that was pre ordering the last one they
(39:20):
had in stop missed out by one guy. You shouldn't
have checked Walmart first. I got one guide.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
I don't know one guide and I I.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
I this is back when I was kind of new
to content and like everything was on the table. I
can't believe I filmed the guy.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
You filmed, Oh that was that was the guy. I
thought that. I thought that was the employee.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
I don't remember this, but io in here, Well maybe
it's missed out. I don't know, but I straight up
filmed the employee. Like, here's the employee that wouldn't give
me that I got one guide from. That's horrible. I
would never do that now, it's like I was. It's
just more I wasn't thinking back then. I wasn't trying
to call him out. I know I wasn't because I
(40:05):
don't even remember this.
Speaker 2 (40:06):
He's still on the screen right now in my.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
In my mind, it was just like this is the content,
Like I'm talking about going to the counter, so that
show the counter. But it really seems like I'm trying
to adopt this guy missed out.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
My switch.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
I don't want any more. I'm going to check the
EV games and they said they had it.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
He just drove all around BC.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
Yeah, buddy, I missed this guy. This guy, This guy
and I were really tight for a minute and then
he just kind of sour it on me. Twitch Yeah,
do you want to do you want to tell me why?
(40:52):
I'll say it nicely. He was super religious, like super religious,
and uh, he didn't like that I wasn't.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Well, and like we were really close and I can't
really be helped Canada.
Speaker 1 (41:03):
No. I know, I know it was really weird, but
like he like didn't I I don't want to talk
too much about He's such a nice guy. I loved
him so much. He was one of my best friends
in Canada.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
It's crazy because I mean, I don't you're not that
much of a heathen at all, nearly not, but.
Speaker 1 (41:17):
Like he wouldn't like that. I like swore around him,
I remember, and it was really hard for me to.
I tried not to, but sometimes it would slip out,
and I think he thought I was like a heathen.
True great guy, though, I honestly I do miss his companionship.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
Is this the hitch?
Speaker 1 (41:36):
We were really closer? I think I found that. It
looks like I found I don't know, but I hate
this guy.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Because sometimes the PC audio is outputting. That's why it's
so loud. Okay, people, I fixed it.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
I knew that was happening.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
Well why don't you say it?
Speaker 1 (41:57):
I did? I was like, because how you had it? Like? Right? No?
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Because that was the thing with the The other thing
that was with the the intro sound was that it
was it was it was monitored and output and this
is but this is a PC.
Speaker 1 (42:10):
Audio and that's been monitoring and outputting. Yeah, so it's
been blasting the whole time.
Speaker 2 (42:15):
I fixed it. It's fine. We haven't shown a lot
of stuff. Dude, Relax, It's okay.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
We've been showing this for like ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Yeah, but we've been going back and forth. I also
have it really low on my end, so I've been
trying my.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Best to sorry chat got the audio guy here.
Speaker 2 (42:30):
I'm getting fired again. I can feel it feel in
my bones.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
I often when I used to make these videos. Oh god,
I forgot all about this convenience story. I went here
all the time. When I used to make these videos,
I would lug and I would like be in other
people's videos, and I'd get so many negative comments about
me in the way I was acting and that I
was like this entitled little brat or whatever. And at
the time it always upset me, and I'm like, I
(42:53):
don't understand. I'm just trying to make videos and have fun. Yeah,
when I watch them now, I get it, Like, I
so get it. This guy, it's cringe. It's so cringe.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
You think you were like a little ship.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
Yes, the way I was acting one hundred percent. Look
at this. I'm like walking around the mall. Switch one am.
I like logan pole very logan pol I don't know, dude.
It's like, is this what I thought was supposed to be?
And then like I'm in the store and I'm like, oh,
I think I found it, which is kind of funny
because I'm trying to find the switch and I'm like,
(43:28):
is this it?
Speaker 2 (43:28):
Is this the switch?
Speaker 1 (43:30):
And I'm just like having a seizure. Fitch, I think
I found that.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
Yeah, it looks like it.
Speaker 1 (43:34):
I think I found the Nintendo hitch. I think it's
just I don't blame anybody for not liking me.
Speaker 2 (43:47):
Wolf, What are you gonna do? You don't have to
go back and read your comments?
Speaker 1 (43:54):
I want to leave one. This guy's annoying. I honestly
want to type in my own thing. This guy's annoying
right now for it. No, I can't. I'm not signed in.
Speaker 2 (44:03):
Damn. What do you have to do it for my account?
Speaker 1 (44:06):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (44:06):
I guess I'm not signed in either.
Speaker 1 (44:07):
So oh A lot of all the comments are about
pizza and how I hated pizza.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
Yeah, that is a pretty jarring fact about you. I'm
not gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Oh oh dude, if you thought that girl was rude,
you would literally go crazy here in Japan. Took me
a while to get used to this. Wait, what are
you talking about? What? Girl? Anyway, eventually I did pre
order it at UH at the EB Games that was
honestly closest to my house, So I don't know what
I was doing.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
This is one hard thing for no reason. So I
have a quest bar in my mouth.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
No, you're fine, all right, let's get let's get me
out of this.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
You're good.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
Mm hmm. I also lost my life chat useless today. Um,
you hungry? You need anything? I can go get some.
I can go get you. We're podcasting. It's okay, I'm fine.
I'm worried about what else in the dark would I'm
not doing anything. It's fine.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
Teleroot's on the dark? What's next? No?
Speaker 1 (45:09):
Sorry, hold on, I't bring up that chat again. You can.
You can end that poll now just leave it up. Mom.
Let's let's see here a couple of interesting things. I
was setting up this video today and I looked at
my sub feed and I saw an RGT video that
I actually found interesting for once, and it was about
(45:32):
the Xena Blake Chronicles x having a sixty fps mode
baked into its files. Yeah, so if you cut over here,
I'm stealing this topic. From him unfortunately, but he found
this article, this article, this random tweet, I should say
from massa great tour. WHI I had to break that
(45:54):
down case it was a naughty thing to say, naughty
thing to say. I said the F bomb a minute ago.
Am my dad or heathen? Which is it?
Speaker 2 (46:01):
I feel like you're kind of run the line.
Speaker 1 (46:03):
Am I losing my religious friends? Or I'm about to
be watching Coco Melon?
Speaker 2 (46:06):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (46:08):
Ben? Somebody in Chevy now? Sorry?
Speaker 1 (46:09):
You know by chronicles x So in the code here
it says dynamic resolution ranges five oh four P to
seven twenty P handheld and then seven sixty to ten
eight P doct So that's how it is. But in
the game's executable files it has a hidden sixty FPS
mode seems to be implemented only partially since enabling it
(46:30):
causes weird issues. So essentially, there is a sixty fps
mode hidden within the files that if you actually go
in and manually activate, it will mess up the game.
So it clearly doesn't work. Now, what RGT was theorizing here,
and I think what makes the most sense, honestly, is
a preparation for the switch Too, so it's already in there,
(46:52):
it's turned off. But as we've talked about a lot,
you can cut away. As we've talked about my theory
a lot with the Switch two is that obviously you
stick in a Switch one game into the Switch To,
it inherently isn't going to look run or do anything better.
But if the developers actually codeed or optimize it, or
make a patch for switch To, then it could run better.
(47:14):
And it seems like with this game releasing so close
to both consoles coming out, and Monolith being partly owned
by Nintendo, it'd be no surprise if they already have
a switch To, if they've already tried running this game,
and there are other games on a switch To, if
they're preemptively baking in some groundwork here for the eventual
patch this game. Yep, today we're going to game stuf
(47:38):
to go get it today. Yeah, I gotta go pick
it up and start playing it.
Speaker 2 (47:43):
Very nice.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
So, yeah, this could hint towards a possible sixty f
ps mode. It's going to be interesting to see if
that happens, right, because it'd also be a really good
positive sign in the right direction to getting a lot
of these old Nintendo games running on this switch to
in sixty fps.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
He mentioned that sort of begs the question then, is like,
are there any other games that have been more recently
released for Switch that also have higher frame rates baked
into them that we don't see because it's more meant
for switch to Hmmm.
Speaker 1 (48:15):
Interesting. I feel like people would probably have found it
by now, especially with this. I'm sure they'd be going
back and looking at it. I think this one is
just so close to the switch to release that there's
some baked in stuff there. But yeah, I guess we'll see.
But it would be cool, he mentioned. He mentioned like
a game like Age of Calamity, which historically had terrible
(48:37):
frame rates. All those Hyro Warriors games have such bad
frame rates on Nintendo consoles. I remember the three DS
one was atrocious. It would be really cool to be
able to stick that into the switch to get it
at sixty fps. It would actually open up a lot
of those old games to people that maybe didn't want
to deal with the bad resolutions or the lower frame rates,
and give people a whole new chance to play these games,
(49:00):
or even for us to go back and play them.
I really hope. Oh, Why didn't they make this the
title and thumbnail?
Speaker 2 (49:10):
Do you want to start over? We can start over.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
No, it's fine, there's even more evidence. Hit me hit
my title card.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Wait, okay, hold on, I got you. We're gonna start
over again. Welcome to Nintendo Live.
Speaker 1 (49:22):
I didn't that's too much, you said the title card. No,
I meant my lower third. Oh okay, bring up, bring
up the music and and my lower third.
Speaker 2 (49:32):
Now I gotta wait for it. Do it now? I
got you.
Speaker 1 (49:36):
Welcome on into the Nontendo podcast. Interesting topic we have
today is the switch actually going to be able to
do four k unbelievably in more patents found and discovered online.
It seems like this is the way Nintendo is trending.
But before we get to that, Ham, how have you been?
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Oh I've been great. Welcome, Welcome everybody in the pod.
Appreciate you. Hold let it go by my lower third.
Speaker 1 (50:00):
Thanks being him one of.
Speaker 2 (50:01):
This bit that we're doing right now. This is great, awesome,
it's awesome. We should. We should start the podcast over
more times than just now.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
You know, I've been starting it over a lot lately.
I've been going live, having an immediate issue and just
ripping the podcast and stuff just happened. Yeah, so frustrating.
I don't even know where to find this. I don't
know where I saw it.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
I feel like I remember you sending an every chair.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
I didn't see it there while I was doing the
doctor today, Nintendo's switch to upscaling. Let me just google
that and then see if there's news.
Speaker 2 (50:36):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all right, we're doing doc right now.
Speaker 1 (50:43):
Oh god, yeah, I guess we were. Yeah, let's not
do that. Not a fan, not a fan fan. I
got rid of my tesla. I told you this all right,
for sure, it's all related. You can cut to me.
Nintendo Live AI upscaling on switch to is basically real
things to update the pattern, Well, let me give you
a summary of where we are till now. We've already
had patents from this. This is just another pattern reaffirming this,
(51:08):
and this being the idea, the concept that you can
take a like five forty P image and you can
AI upscale it to ten ADP. You can take a
ten ADP image or seven twenty P and upscale it
to two K. You could probably even push it and
upscale it to four K. It's artificial, it's AI. It
does it artificially. I don't have a better word for that. Essentially,
(51:30):
what that means is you can keep a file small.
If you don't know, ten ADP file, seven twenty P files.
Even for games, those files are quite small. Four K
files they're quite large. That's a big reason why we
can't have four K on a lot of things or
switch things. It's the files are too big whatever. That's
a lot to render, lots of render, and it's taxing
(51:51):
on the hardware. But you keep those files as small
as they are and then artificially an AI upscale them
so they're not true four K. But that's the conversation
I've been having for years about the switch. You could literally,
I think, go back four years on my channel and
I think you could find a video of me and
RGT talking about this technology and how AI upscaling will
be prevalent on the switch too. Like, this is something
(52:13):
that both of us have been talking about for a
long time. And it was because even back then, and
Video shield and end video product that you would plug
into your TV to play games and stream games on
had the AI upscaling technology. And then Video makes the
graphics card for Nintendo, so they already are working with
the company that's already doing it, and the chip sets
are essentially the same, and there's no reason why it
(52:35):
can't happen anyway. Moving on here it is again this
is a new pattern by Nintendo, and you can see
here they have a five forty P image and this
is the process it goes through to AI upscale it.
You prepare the image, you input the data, you reorganize
the matrix sixteen by sixteen, run neural network. I don't
(52:56):
know what any of this means, but essentially it goes
through and then it becomes TENADP.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
There's some Silicon Valley shit on it.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
Yeah, it's crazy. So this is specifically looking at taking
five forty and turning it into ten eighty. Now, this
is still exciting because I do think there's a realm
of possibility here. And we have other patterns from Nintendo
of recent that talk about four K images. But even
if they don't go the four K rite, this is
(53:23):
still exciting to think of getting TENADP because this switch
to could one hundred percent play games at five forty
P sixty frames, like, there's no question about that, right,
So if you're AI upscaling at the ten ADP baseline,
like the least we can expect. Here is this game
spinning around on my desk for the last hour. This
game running at ten ADP, looking clean and crisp, in
(53:47):
full resolution at sixty frames that is baseline what we
can expect just looking at Nintendo's own pattern right here.
Speaker 2 (53:56):
Sure, so, but is the is breath what do you
call it? Tuesday Kingdom, Breath of the World? Which one
is his breath? Is it? That's that was in ten
ADP though, wasn't it like it's not so it's seven twenty.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Yeah, maybe doctor might hit ten ADP, but it would
be thirty frames at most.
Speaker 2 (54:14):
Right, let me see what I get that. If they're
if they're going to take a game that was, you know,
running at seven twenty P and they're gonna AI up scale,
that's pretty dope.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
So does Breath of the Wild run at on switch,
handheld and docked? This is this is why I hate Google,
the Google GBT. Look at what it pulled. This isn't
even the AI.
Speaker 2 (54:39):
Is it safe to pull up?
Speaker 1 (54:40):
Yeah, it's fine. I asked, what resolution is this? Breath
of the World run out and switched four K sixty.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
Br in a way. Thanks, we all know that's not true. Um,
I'm gonna cut away from now.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Does anyone in chat?
Speaker 2 (54:55):
No chat?
Speaker 1 (54:59):
GBT my phone? I'm not logged in on my God,
what resolution is Breath of the Wild on switch? So
there's two there's two things here, Harmantha. There's Doctor and
there's also handheld. So with this AI thing, even handheld,
(55:24):
we should be getting ten ADP. So I can tell
you now handheld for this game is probably five forty
P at most, okay, on a seven to twenty screen.
The switch to will be a ten ADP screen and
you'll be able to do it at ten ADP, so
you'll get full resolution in handheld at sixty fps. That's
already a huge improvement. And then you have the Doctor,
which was probably at most nine hundred P.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
I would guess the fact that in twenty seventeen I
would have been okay with playing a game at five
sixty P is actually kind of crazy to me.
Speaker 1 (55:53):
Like, I, well, the thing is that the screen is
so small and it is only seven to twenty P
that five if five forty is not too bad. But
but when you see them side by side, even like
side by side handheld you will immediately see a difference.
(56:13):
For me, it's like a tunic for example, on switch
runs at something like five hundred P. When I put
that next to my like O lead steam deck running
it at ten EIGHTP, it's one's mud. Yeah, it's just
it's a it's okay mud because it's already so small, right,
but there's a there is an obvious difference, And yeah,
I was My guess was right. It's nine hundred p
(56:36):
max resolution on doc mode and then handheld is actually
seven to twenty P. Yeah, which is that's schatge.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
The resolution of the screen though.
Speaker 1 (56:46):
Yeah, but yeah, interesting, So baseline bare bones, with this
AI up scaling both docked and handheld, you're looking at
ten adp full resolution at sixty fps. The sixty fps
is a game on my part. But come on, if
you're running it at the same resolution, you're just artificially
upscaling it, which takes no extra drama. Why would it
(57:09):
not be thirty frames more? You know?
Speaker 2 (57:12):
We would hope, so we would.
Speaker 1 (57:13):
I mean yeah, I mean unless it's literally got no
extra power over the switch one, which we already know
is false. Yep, you know, could the PlayStation four run
breath of the Wild at ten EDP sixty frames. Yeah
yeah for sure, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, I think so.
So that was That's interesting. That's another point in our
(57:33):
favor here of like this is happening like in some regard,
in some context, in some way the switch to has
Ai upscaling, which is awesome A because of the obvious
reason I've been saying it's awesome for four years and
awesome B Because it's just one of those things that
I was right about like four years ago, which you've
been so right for so long. Can It's just it's
(57:54):
I'm wrong about as much as I am right. But
it is cool to be able to go back four
or five years on a YouTube channel and be like, oh,
this guy kind of called that. Yeah, and Sean and
Sean and I, to Sean's credit to we were like
really the only people back then that was like our idea.
We kind of came up with that because of n
Video shield at least that's how I remember. That's that's
(58:16):
how I remember it well. By our idea, I mean
our like theory that Nintendo would lead into that, right
because they're working with Nvideo. Yeah, so of course that's
got to come up in conversation, and it's for Nintendo's product,
for their handheld, something that's not able baseline to put
out as much power as these other consoles that are
putting out Native raw four K. They barely ever actually
(58:39):
do it. But this is their like workaround. This is
how they can have the hybrid. This is how they
can have their cake and eat it too. It makes
so much sense. Why not.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
I'm with you, brother, oh King, telling King five dollars
super chat from toast at five head says return of
the ham thank you for having me to back all right,
sho you guys?
Speaker 1 (59:02):
Doctors ten ADP. In switch settings, it says it's ten ADP.
Though okay, well maybe it's doctor's tenny. It's still only
thirty frames.
Speaker 2 (59:09):
I never understood why they're gonna I mean, I know
that like the monitor that you're playing it on would
be a higher resolution than the screen itself, right, But
well there must have been there must have been games
that like they were I don't know, it doesn't you know,
it doesn't even matter what I'm trying to say. Thought,
it didn't make sense to me that they were like
(59:30):
making games look better when it was using the same hardware.
You know what I mean. But I guess it makes
sense because why would you render a game at ten adp?
Speaker 1 (59:40):
Why the doc made games look better? Why docking it
made him look better?
Speaker 2 (59:43):
Well, because the Doctor actually had any like profile or
it didn't any like performance, right.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
No, So how it's pretty How it works is the
DOC is powered. You're you're connecting it to power. Okay,
so the switch is able to do more because it's
literally hardwired and it doesn't have to worry about battery
dying or like, because the switch base could do it,
but it's going to drain the battery and it's probably
gonna get hot and right, yeah, so docking it just
(01:00:09):
gave it that that extra boost oomph. Some people are
saying Doctor is nine hundred P. Some people saying ten ADP.
I wouldn't be surprised if, like cut scenes in certain
parts of the game is ten eighty and does hit that,
but then like heavy action scenes and running around in
the wild, it dips down to nine hundred P. Something
the switch does really well is dynamic resolutions, where it
(01:00:32):
will constantly fluctuate the resolution to keep the frame rate steady,
so it might hit tenndpt I'm just talking out my
ass right now, but it might hit TENNADP at times.
It probably dips down to nine hundred. It might even
dip down to seven twenty while docked, depending on what's happening.
But all of that would be to keep thirty fps well,
(01:00:53):
whereas something that utilizes AI would lock ten edp, lock
sixty fps, and that's bare minimum. There are all those
rumors about the games come two years ago. I feel
like I repeat myself so much. Where this game was
running at four K sixty on the switch too hardware,
which would of course be through AI upscaling. But honestly,
(01:01:16):
for a game like this, which as you are pointing
out chat could already hit TENADP in some scenarios on
the switch one just at thirty, it's almost like just
doing TENDP and sixty fps. While that's a big upgrade,
isn't even that impressive? You know what would be impressive
for this game four K four K even if you
had the option like four K thirty frames which the
(01:01:38):
rumor was sixty, but four K thirty, or like ten
eighty sixty, or like a balanced mode, or like what
PlayStation does you know? Two K two K. Two K
is the other thing. A lot of people think they'll
AI upscaled to two K rather than four K. I
just I don't know about it. I feel like that
is a realistic goal. I think at the point where
(01:01:59):
you're AI upscaling, what's the difference? Yeah, two K, four K,
it's all AI. What's the difference? What's the difference on
a box if you're going to put it on the
box or if you're going to use it in marketing?
I feel like being able to say it does four
k is more of a cell than be like two K.
I feel like two K you almost don't even mention it. Yeah,
two K is almost like Nintendo doesn't even talk about
(01:02:21):
the fact that it does that. It's just I feel
like at that point, Nintendo's just going to be like,
you get full resolutions or nice clean, crisp in images,
but never actually say the resolution four K you're is
something you can actually sell with where you can be
like the new Switches four K and it does sixty
frames for all.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
The hardware heads out there. Yeah, I think I think
it's a selling point.
Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
For sure, But Nintendo don't often ever talk about those
things anyway, So I could see them not even mentioning
resolutions ever, because they never mentioned resolutions for anything, right,
or frame rates for anything. They don't really care about
that stuff. Yeah, it's a kid's toy, you know it is.
But at the same time, I think the new one
seems to be more like growing up. Maybe I'm wrong,
(01:03:07):
but I think like the color scheme and like, no.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
I think I think you are right. I think you
are right. I think that it's it's kind of teetering
on the edge of like competing with like the you know,
the row allies and the you know, things of things
of that nature.
Speaker 1 (01:03:19):
It's a little more adult. I don't know why I
get that vibe. Maybe because maybe you're just an adult now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
Yeah, maybe we're just not walking around the mall shouting
about the new switch that's coming out, you know, sure,
and waving your receipt in the air.
Speaker 1 (01:03:34):
Is that just my perception though, I'd like to know
from chat, like, does this seem like a more upgraded
almost like a it's gone from a toy to more
of like a console, like a like a handheld.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
Like I think it's just because you're not because because
it's not the neon.
Speaker 1 (01:03:51):
Well, yeah, but I think that's I think that's part
of their branding and their image here is like this
one's more like rough and ready. It's more like for
the gamers for the game is you know we got
the graphics now, yeah, we got the black sleek mm hmm,
something about it. I don't know. Maybe my brain is
just it's a little something for everybody, a little something
(01:04:12):
for everybody. How long we've been going.
Speaker 2 (01:04:15):
Oh, we we're over time, We're an hour and four?
Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
What are you doing tonight? Are you trying to bounce?
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
So I don't even know yet, like like I don't
want to. I like, because I have, I got it.
I got a hot date with with all streaming services
including Spotify and Apple Music because I'm a rapper and
I got music coming out tonight at midnight.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
So yeah, him as a song dropping hot and fresh.
Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
Well it's already out, it's out on YouTube, but it's
it's dropping on streaming services.
Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
So I wanted to, like, you know that was for
the Wabbie thing, right, that was why you couldn't come
to the Baby show.
Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Well no, that well, yes, actually that is why because
my editor was was down to the wire on that
and I needed to be there for uploading and all
that stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
So, uh, check out him's social pipes for all of
that good pipe. Yeah, check out him's pipes.
Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
Yeah, check my pipes please, I.
Speaker 1 (01:05:07):
Mean, all right, whatever I mean we've got Uh, I
still have several things in my dog.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Hit me. Hit me with one thing. Hit me with
one thing real quick before we go. All right, let's
throw throw a dart at the computer and pick something.
Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
You know. This one's fun. Uh. So Max, you guys
might remember used to he does our tiktoks. He's watching
right now. He's been in chat. Great guy. Love him,
Love him to death. He's part of the Nontendo crew. Yeah,
you just don't see him because we don't go to
the studio much anymore because every time I ask e,
(01:05:43):
he says no, it's not one hundred percent correct. He's
always like, you can come whenever you want. And then
whenever I ask, I can't come for someone. Oh no,
it's not that I can't come. You can.
Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
You can always go.
Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
We can always open invitation. I have a key. I
have a key to the studio. I can walk in.
It's just every time I ask him, he's either with
Guy Fieri shooting the grocery games, and or he's doing
something with Bloomberg or whatever, and he's never there and
he's like you can come. I'm like, I'm coming for you. Like,
if I wanted to do this show with him and Max,
I would bring him to my house. And Max, by
(01:06:16):
the way, has an open invitation to drive down with you,
but he just always doesn't.
Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
I don't think he doesn't either. I think it's also
a matter of like actually planning it and making it happen.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
Planning that's not going on for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
Yeah. A lot of the time when we're doing the podcast,
I hit you up this literally happened last night. I'll
hit you up the night before and be like, so
I'm coming down tomorrow, and you're like, if you.
Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
Want to, you know, very lousy. Yeah, I mean each
week we know that it's happening unless you can.
Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
But at the same time, it's very much a last
second like, yeah, of might comment, I guess.
Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
And contrary to the chats belief thinking that I'm getting
fired all the time, the actual reality is that I
do have a lot of things going on.
Speaker 1 (01:06:57):
If you're not here, it's only ever because you don't
want to be here. Other than last week, I think
because I was legitimate, I thought I was sick, and
this week I've got diarrhea, like really bad, like the
last two days. Kim and I were trying to go
grocery shopping yesterday and I had to keep running to
the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
Let's back up, he said, I don't want to be here. No,
it's because I can't be here. I do want to
be here, Like there's difference between not wanting to be
or not.
Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
It's your choice, not mine, right right, Yeah, other than
last week, which it was my choice because I was
worried I was getting sick. I was also contemplating not
even doing the episode.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Which I appreciate, by the way, I appreciate it telling
me that you're feeling sick because I don't want to
you know.
Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Oh, I almost told you this week too. I was
like last night, I was like, should I tell him
I have I'm not going to catch your diarrhea rapid diarrhea.
But other than that, I feel fine, like I'm healthy.
I even worked out. I just had to keep running
to the bathroom. I don't know what's wrong with me.
It's like a foster.
Speaker 2 (01:07:48):
I can't turn off that's crazy. That's that's a bonus
episode statement right there.
Speaker 1 (01:07:54):
I was worried I'd have to poop during this episode.
Speaker 2 (01:07:57):
Well we're good.
Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
We made it anyway. Max. You know him, you love him.
He made a TikTok and uh talking about GameCube or something.
I haven't actually watched it yet, but this is our
old friend Max doing a TikTok about GameCube coming a switch.
Huge news GameCube fans.
Speaker 3 (01:08:15):
Nintendo just made an FCC finally for a new controller
with this image. To the untrained eye, this.
Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
May look like literally nothing. This editing is hilarious, Max.
So the whole point of this is this is it.
This is what they filed this, this square with a
label logo. That's it. That is you're looking at it.
But for some reason, everybody thinks that this controller that
(01:08:41):
they filed this square is a GameCube controller. And this
is Max TikTok about why.
Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
It's so bizarre?
Speaker 3 (01:08:47):
Really nothing but users on fami boards took this image
and overlaid it onto the back of a game. I
don't understand the controller and that label area lines up perfectly,
does it?
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
It's not really that perfect.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
He's wearing the marine car jacket.
Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
Oh shoot, he is, well, he's he lives in Brooklyn. Yeah,
he probably just popped over in Manhattan.
Speaker 2 (01:09:07):
He does. Yeah, he probably just had it.
Speaker 1 (01:09:09):
That's it. Yeah, isn't that exciting.
Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
That's nothing. It's probably just for the switch to pro
controller or it's a new game cube control to play
retro games on Nintendo Switch Online. Oh like how Nintendo
made wireless controls for the NESN N sixty four games. Yeah,
so this might mean we're getting GameCube games soon too.
I already know the first game I'm gonna play, Huge
News game.
Speaker 1 (01:09:31):
Very funny Max, but love Max.
Speaker 2 (01:09:33):
He did it such a good job with that.
Speaker 1 (01:09:34):
Yeah, it is ridiculous that that's enough for these people.
You know what's funny is, uh, I went to I
go to a grocery store here, and there's a guy
there that recognizes me. He's very sweet. Yeah, and every
time I come in he wants to talk and ask
me questions about nintender stuff. And he stopped me like
two days ago, and he was like, so GameCube coming
(01:09:57):
in and switch online, you think it's funny?
Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
How do you feel about those interactions? By the way,
when he gets stop, you're just trying to buy groceries.
Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
So I love him as a person, and I love
that he's so enthusiastic, and I love that, like we
get to just chat at the grocery store. It does
suck to have to talk about work when I'm just
trying to do shopping because I know it's silly because
like you would think, like, of course, and this is
no shade.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
I love it. I want him to stop, right, I
don't want you to stop. I don't want you to
like go to this and then have him just like
wave at you.
Speaker 1 (01:10:26):
This is our point of contact. This is how you
know me, this is the thing we have in common.
Of course, this is what we're going to talk about.
But for me, when everything I do for work is
talking about this stuff and speculating this stuff, it's suddenly
in the middle of looking for eggs overpriced eggs, I've
got to like switch my brain back on and be like, oh, well,
I think the chance is a slim because X, Y
(01:10:48):
and Z I kind of I got to get back
into podcasting. So it does feel like, all of a sudden,
I'm talking about work, which is silly because it's video
games and it's what I love doing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
Work never stops when you're a content creator.
Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
So it is it is a little bit like I
have to go well, I think, but it's fine because again,
what are we going to talk about the weather? R?
What was I going to say? Anyway? Yeah, he stopped
me and he's like, what do you think am I?
I said the same thing I always say. It's always
my first thought. They can sell us GameCube games. They've
(01:11:20):
been selling us GameCube gaps. They sold us Metroid, they
sold us Luigi's Mansion. I feel like, right Sunshine they
put into that pack, like every GameCube game that we've
had on the switch and we've been able to play recently,
they've been able to sell back to us. I don't
know if their mindset changes there. I don't know if
we're because we're another generation past it. Maybe it has
(01:11:42):
fallen into retro. Maybe they can finally put that into
another subsection of their brain where we can give these
two people for free. You think about like, we still
haven't got win Waker. You think that you think they're
not going to charge us for win Waker. We're is
gonna get win Waker for free?
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
Yeah, there's no I don't see a scenario where they
have an intend to Switch online type thing like they
have for n sixty four and for s NES where
they just give us win Waker. I don't say. I
don't see that happening, and I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
See them giving us and then I switch online putting
some games on it, but then still selling us win Waker.
Speaker 2 (01:12:17):
It's like, yeah, because they're still there's still old men
in Nintendo and they don't think that GameCube is retro.
Speaker 1 (01:12:22):
Yet, you know, I agree. And it's also like then
it's confusing even for this current library because you'll still
have Metroid and games like that in the library physical
that you can buy, alongside a Nintendo Switch Online app
for GameCube that has like some of them for free.
Speaker 2 (01:12:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
I don't know. It doesn't make a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
Of sense unless they switched it up and then they
had the app for GameCube and then those were still
paid games like some of them some of them you
get for free, some of them were paid. That would
be kind of cool. I mean, i'd that'd be sick,
but you know, there's not. Again, there's too many good
titles for GameCube that they're not just going to hand us.
Speaker 1 (01:12:54):
Max message me and Discord and I want to see
what it.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
Says probably very funny guys.
Speaker 1 (01:12:59):
Oh, I don't think he said.
Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
He said it in chat too.
Speaker 1 (01:13:02):
He was like, oh, this is your discord. I got
a DM from someone here as well.
Speaker 2 (01:13:08):
Don't do this, don't do this.
Speaker 1 (01:13:11):
I could see them doing a GameCube controller, though completely separate,
independent from all of that checking your phone. I can't
stand you, bro, because uh, I mean you think about
like Smash for example, they could be doing a new
Smash and they released a adapter for Smash the last ones,
so you could use GameCube controllers, but they that you
(01:13:32):
could use your old retro ones and they didn't have
a way of reselling US controllers. They could be doing
a whole line of GameCube controllers or a new GameCube
controller and be selling that to us so that we
can play win Waker with it, but they'll just also
sell us win Waker. I don't think a GameCube controller
is out of the question. I just think I don't
know how they're going to balance doing a switch online
(01:13:53):
free app alongside the ones we've been paying for. It
would be cool if they randomly put out a GameCube
switch on line app and it launches with Heck and
win Waker and even maybe Twilight Princess the GameCube version,
and then a bunch of other GameCube games, and they're like, ah,
here you.
Speaker 2 (01:14:09):
Go, all for the price of Nintendo Switch Online.
Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
Or maybe even like the like the Metro Prime Trilogy.
You know this remaster one that we got that you
can buy. It's a remaster they remade the game, but
like the original one that you could just play that
for free on the switch on line app.
Speaker 2 (01:14:28):
You know.
Speaker 1 (01:14:29):
I mean, it's not it's not out of the realm
of possibility. I mean, also, let me let me let
me think about this some more. Here also something that
they've built for the Switch one and they've been charging
us for. Are these apps? These like retro apps?
Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
Right?
Speaker 1 (01:14:44):
But we've kind of juiced them. We're out of the
good nes nets games. There might be some hidden little
gems that they haven't done yet short but for the
most part, the big ones are juiced. We're moving into
a new generation. What are they going to do? Just
keep those ones? I think the next thing to add
after n sixty four, if you want to keep adding
(01:15:05):
value in and keep providing this as a service, which
they might not even do. They might just stop doing it.
But the next one to add is either DS, which
we talked about the possibility there, or GameCube for home console.
Speaker 2 (01:15:18):
Yeah. So, uh yeah, I think that Nintendo has proven
themselves to be greedy enough for a long time that
that they wouldn't just give it to us. But it
would be a nice it would be a nice little gift,
a nice little benevolent gift, you know, if Nintendo gave
it to us, I do. I mean here's the thing though,
like maybe, and this is super speculative and like not
(01:15:38):
even probably not even true, but it's like, what if
they only gave it to us on switch too? It's like,
if you want this, then you got to get.
Speaker 1 (01:15:44):
A switch to Oh that's definitely a thing.
Speaker 2 (01:15:46):
Yeah yeah you think what like for GameCube on Nintendo's
which I think.
Speaker 1 (01:15:50):
No, yeah, yeah, because it's it's I mean, we're moving forward,
not backwards. Yeah, releasing things for the switch one, And
isn't an incentive for people to buy the switch too?
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Yeah? So well, I mean that offsets the cost of redeveloping,
I guess, not redeveloping these games, but also maybe what
are they even doing right because it's just an emulator, right,
It's just an emulator.
Speaker 1 (01:16:16):
I think they would also run a lot better on
switch too. I mean, I'm sure a lot of these
games would run fine on Switch one, but I know
some of them chunk like Smash Brothers is notoriously pretty heavy.
That Melee I've tried running that on some like retro
consoles and Android tablets, and they don't does not run
very well. So I think utilizing the switch too hardware
(01:16:36):
to get some really cool performances out of old GameCube
games and also giving people another reason to buy a
switch to and to upgrade their membership to get GameCube
games now, I think that's a much bigger push and
cool concept. Then hey, it's on both. Do you just
keep your switch one right? Yeah, So it's an interesting idea. Him,
(01:16:57):
thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Speaker 2 (01:16:59):
Sometimes they come, you know, sometimes.
Speaker 1 (01:17:04):
I really flipped on that. I went from a pretty
hard stance to breaking it down, and now I'm kind
of like it could go either way. Actually, yeah, I
could see them doing you know, especially like even right now.
It feels a little weird, but we get like three
or four years into the switch too, and we're in
like pretty close to twenty thirty category, Yeah, which feels insane.
(01:17:25):
To even say that out loud, and the GameCube is
what when that come out? Two thousand and two? Yeah,
two three, I want to say, so we're almost, oh
like you that we're almost thirty years away from GameCube. Yeah,
at that point, maybe doing it for a switch online app.
(01:17:47):
Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 2 (01:17:48):
A thirty year anniversary is like a big thing that's wild.
Speaker 1 (01:17:52):
Well, the actual thirty year anniversary I think would be
twenty thirty two, which I think is a little too
far in if they're going to do it, I think
they give that to us within the first three or
four years, getting pretty close to thirty. But even if
they held out for the thirtieth, we're closer.
Speaker 2 (01:18:08):
To twenty thirty than we use I don't want to
when we are to twenty the beginning of twenty, I
don't want to.
Speaker 1 (01:18:17):
Two thousand and one is GameCube apparently? What about in US?
Was that in Japan or US?
Speaker 2 (01:18:24):
I don't know. It feels like Bonus Contact God two thousand,
we're old chat, We're old as shit.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
It's already been twenty five years, but it's going to
be thirty soon.
Speaker 2 (01:18:36):
Yeah. Yeah, I'm thirty two. I am a human. I
am a thirty two year old human being. I'm we
gotta come.
Speaker 1 (01:18:49):
When this happens in a few years, when this happens,
when we hit twenty thirty and the GameCube turns thirty,
I will be forty.
Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
That sucks, dude, that really sucks. I'll still be twenty.
I'll be thirty eight, so I'll still be in my prime.
Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
I'll still be in your prime. So she still be
getting these Discord dms.
Speaker 2 (01:19:17):
You gotta stop. Hey, so Patreon, all right, we.
Speaker 1 (01:19:23):
Got to get out of here because him, him needs
to figure out if he's staying on going. Yeah, the
lady we go. The heart of that gets so, all right, guys,
we're going to do a bonus episode now for Patreons.
If you can believe it. It's a new concept we're
trying actually where for only five dollars a month, you

lot of them. You know, there's this like bearded Italian bearded.
I really think I think he was there. And if
you just pay that five dollars now, not only does
it directly support the show and help us out so much, Hey,
studio shed. Yeah, I actually ooh ooh, pause music, tell

neighbor came. She's so sweet, she's in the picture. I
was telling her, Yes, I was telling her about the
studio shed and I was like, but I don't know
what the hoa would think of that.
Speaker 2 (01:20:28):
Yeah, you gotta love this. She goes.
Speaker 1 (01:20:31):
She goes, I am the ho Oh, Yeah, she's in
the hoa?
Speaker 2 (01:20:37):
Is she in it?
Speaker 1 (01:20:38):
Or is she like she's part of it that like
makes the yes and no choices? So I was like,
can I get one? And she was like, yeah, oh okay,
I know so if I wanted to, it could happen.
Let's do it. Hit the music studio shed five dollars
a month and you get all those episodes and a
(01:20:58):
live one right now. Join us. It directly supports the
show and keeps it going. I really appreciate it. Why comment, subscribe,

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Goodbye,
