The 2023 TCS New York City Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, November 5, 2023. It is the 51st running of the marathon, which is considered one of the largest and most prestigious marathons in the world.
Here are some of the things you can expect to see at the 2023 TCS New York City Marathon: Elite Runners: The 2023 TCS New York City Marathon will feature a field of elite runners from around the world. Some of the top contenders in the men's race include defending champion Evans Chebet of Kenya, two-time champion Geoffrey Kamworor of Kenya, and 2021 Boston Marathon champion Benson Kipruto of Kenya. In the women's race, defending champion Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya is set to return, along with two-time champion Mary Keitany of Kenya and 2022 Boston Marathon champion Edna Kiplagat of Kenya.

Scenic Course: The TCS New York City Marathon course is one of the most scenic in the world. The race starts in Staten Island and winds its way through all five boroughs of New York City, including Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island. Runners will pass by some of the city's most iconic landmarks, such as the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, the Brooklyn Bridge, and Central Park.
Spectator Support: The TCS New York City Marathon is known for its enthusiastic spectators. Over 1 million people are expected to line the streets of New York City to cheer on the runners. The race has a festive atmosphere, with bands, DJs, and other entertainers performing along the course. And this year, Connie Brown is a legendary figure. She has participated in 43 consecutive New York City marathons and has no intention of stopping there. She will be running in her 44th straight race on Sunday, her 80th birthday, which will set a record for the New York City Road Runners, the organization in charge of the race.
