Speaker 2 (01:12):
Hello, Welcome. I'm so glad you're here today, and as usual,
I'm so excited about the guests that I'm going to
be talking to today. She is phenomenal. But before I
even bring her on, I want to tell everybody about
this exciting panel discussion that is planned for August eighth,

(01:35):
which is eight eight. And if you're into astrology and
planets and all that wonderful stuff, it's the beginning of
the Lion's Gate. And I don't know anything about astrology,
but one of my guests does, and she'll explain why
eight eight is a portal to all kinds of things.
But the panel discussion is called Awakening. It's all about awakening.

(01:58):
Is it really awaken or are we just remembering, remembering
why we're here and we're awakening to all kinds of
things in the last few years, shall I say? And
it's pretty interesting the stuff that's going on inside a
lot of us. And I used to think awakening was
like this big dramatic thing and there'd be a drum

(02:20):
roll and I would, you know, walk on water and
all kinds of stuff. But I have discovered that awakening
is usually a lot more subtle. There are a few
of us that have those profound life shifting, earthquake feeling awakenings,
but most people it's just very subtle and you may
not even notice it. In fact, in my life, I

(02:42):
didn't notice it at all until one of my closest friends,
who lived far away and came out to visit and
I hadn't seen her in a few years. We were
sitting at dinner and she looked at me and she said, gosh,
you're really different. I took that as a compliment anyway.
So there's three other panel people that you will be

(03:02):
joined by with and they all have different perspective on awakening.
We have Mary Maduna Gross and she has kind of
a business like that sounds negative, but she's much more
real world oriented in terms of awakening. And we have

(03:24):
Amy Ponds who is very metaphysical and she's the one
that knows a lot about astrology. And we have Aziza
Prieste who is a social activist. She's been that way
her whole life and she'll talk about the awakening changes
in society. So please join us on August eighth at

(03:47):
ten am Pacific time. And to register, you just have
to go to my website, Roycemarrales dot com and there's
a little registration form down a bit on the first
page and just send in your information and we will
send you a link. It's free. And then if you
register and you can't make it, I'll be sending out
a tape. So you won't miss a thing. So I

(04:09):
just have to show you, guys this beautiful reel that
was created for this event. Can you just put that
up there?

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Chris?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Thank you? All right, So now I get to bring
on my amazing guest, Debbie Dobbins. Let me tell you
a little bit about her. Her story is phenomenal. I
read her book and I was just blown away by
what she went through to get where she is. Her

(05:12):
life was a journey from addiction, cancer, broke on food
stamps to a globally acclaimed international prosperity consciousness speaker and teacher,
and her work not only healed her body, but rebuilt
her wealth just by shifting her consciousness about it, changing

(05:35):
how she sees things and changing how she asks for things.
And I've got some amazing questions to ask her about that,
because I think people have kind of a strange notion
about affirmations and usual emations and all that. So she'll
give some clarity about that. Her work kind of leans
toward working with women utilizing powerful female and energy, feminine energy,

(06:01):
and she'll talk a lot about that too, and she
really connects the pole to all that she's doing. Everything connects.
I'm hearing noises in the background. I don't know if
that's our engineer, But so reading her book, I have
to say that what I loved about it, which for
those of you that have been involved in spirituality and metaphysics,

(06:23):
you've probably seen a million books talking to change your thinking,
change your life, do this affirmation, do this vision board.
You know, have it all happened instantly, right? But what
I love is that it's not about a get rich
quick thing or magical thinking, or denying the reality of

(06:44):
things or following rigid rules. It's really about awakening your
natural propensity and I love that word to aligning with
universal principles that really are powerful. And it's about creating sustainable,
sustaining abundance, living from your inner billionaire, which I think

(07:07):
is just a fabulous way to see things. So, I
you know, before I even go further with you, de W,
I have to share one of the analogies that I
read in your book, which I think is just beautiful.
The analogy is that your inner billionaire is like a
diamond buried beneath the layers of limiting patterns social conditioning,

(07:29):
and I would add fears is the diamond is already there.
We just have to dig it out. Take the shovels.
I talk about shoveling all the time, shoveling the shit
I talk about in my Life Awakening program all the time.
In fact, I'm wearing a little shovel on my neck.

(07:52):
So this is abundant. We just have to dig up
that diamond. So, without further ado, welcome Wie Dots. I'm
so glad you're here.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Thank you. I'm so excited. I have to say that
I was watching and when you're doing your pre in
pre part, and you had these beautiful almost like kaleidoscopes
on the screen, and I was hypnotizing myself. I used
to be a hypnotist, and it's so beautiful when we
can get let ourselves get literally in a hypnotic state,

(08:27):
in that awareness of just being in the moment. So
I really want to thank you for that. And yes,
it is so it's so important to begin the conversation
with every single person on this planet. Well, actually, I
think everything on the planet has an inner billionaire, a
plant and animal. Because nature doesn't question its own abundance.

(08:50):
We are the only ones that question our abundance. So
it is our natural inherited right to be abundant. And
I've just called it a billionaire because it truly is.
Everyone has that already. You get born with it, and
then we just layer all the limiting beliefs and all
the fears and all the conversations and all the stories,

(09:12):
and then we show up and say, oh, this is
hard or I don't have enough, or all of the
stories that show up. So thank you for bringing that
portion up, because it's so important for people to realize
nobody has got any leg up on anybody else. We
all have it. We all have it. It's just a

(09:35):
matter of revealing it. And so in the book I
use processes and at the same time, that's the first
thing that I recommend that everybody understand. Now, whether or
not you totally believe it at this point, that remains,
you know, that's a process. But I also shared affirmations.
I'm not a big affirmation fan, only from the perspective

(09:56):
that it reminds me of when they used to I
have little boys right on the chalkboard. I won't pull
Sally's pigtails anymore, right, A hundred times? Do you think
after that little boy wrote a hundred times he wasn't
going to do it. He did it again, of course
he did. Of Course, what happens is with our brain.
Because this is a little AI machine up here. We

(10:17):
keep our affirmations that we say so many times our brangos,
that's a lie, that's a lie. So I have processes
and we'll share some of those as we go through
this about what really changes things, what really begins to
unfold and reveal that inn billionaire.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Yeah, and I'm so glad you're going to talk about
that because I find, you know, a lot of my
students arrived thinking all these things about what they're going
to learn from me, and they think, oh, I'm going
to learn affirmations and all that stuff, and I very
quickly let them know that none of that stuff works
unless you really believe that you deserve. So we'll talk

(10:55):
about that, But tell us your story first. Your story
is fascinating. How did you start all this?

Speaker 4 (11:01):
Oh gosh, I'm just turned seventy last month, so I've
got long, long history. So I'm going to try to
make it really concise. And the only place I've ever
shared this publicly was this book that I've been a
krack addict. Literally, Now do I look like a crack addict. No,
But the fact is is that we all have these
appearances that we are so broken inside, we are so wounded.

(11:26):
So that led to an experience that I wanted to
go down. I've been on a spiritual path my whole life,
but I wanted to become a spiritual practitioner for a
teaching that I was in and I began with my
first financial freedom course and my first financial freedom course,
and I talk about this story in the book. Was

(11:47):
I was sitting in this course. It was just one
of the ones that I had to take to be licensed.
And everybody's talking about they're five thousand dollars credit card
debt and some various things that I was saying into
my mind, Uh, you don't know, you're My problem is
bigger than your problem, Like we do this as humans.
My problem is bigger than your problem. Therefore I can

(12:07):
stay stuck. That's really what that is. It's just a story.
And so I actually said those words out loud to
my beautiful spiritual teacher. I said, I could sooner cure cancer.
This before I was diagnosed. I could sooner cure cancer,
then get rid of this almost half a million dollar
eye arrestline, and she looked at me and she did
not say these words, but she was because she was

(12:28):
very loving and very kind, but she was very firm,
something to the effect of, well, you know, you're a
spiritual being, and like, how can you have those kind
of thoughts because you know that's not the truth of
who you are. What I heard was get over yourself, literally,
get over yourself. She didn't say that, but you know,
sometimes we just we hear what we hear, but we

(12:48):
know and interpret it. And so from that moment, literally
from that moment, I knew that this was not insurmountable.
This was something that was totally doable in the spiritual
realm because from a we all live in this three
D world that we believe what we're seeing. That's the problem,
number one is we all believe what we're seeing. What

(13:11):
we're seeing is just a direct reflection of who we are.
So therefore, all we have to do is change this.
But at that point I thought, well, I think I
can do this. So it was I started the process.
I did the steps, the three D steps, but also
I stayed firm in my trust, in my belief and
my faith that this was going to happen, and literally,

(13:32):
within probably about a year, the irs settled with me
for you know, pennies on the dollar, because that's what happens.
Now everybody could look at that and say, well, maybe
you're you know, I have special skills, right. I did
all of this myself. I didn't hire anybody to do it.
I did it because I knew what needed to be done.
And then the last story, there's those are my three

(13:55):
big stories, was about nine years ago. Now I think
it is. I was not feeling well and there was
all kinds of things going on. So I ended up
going to a doctor, several doctors, but this one just
put his finger up my bum and said, yep, it's
recto cancer and he was this close to my face,
and I went, okay, bedside Mann or anyone. But the

(14:18):
fact of the matter is is that after you get
over the initial shock of anything that goes on with
your life trauma, upset, fear, circumstances, you get to have
that initial reaction, you get to have initial grief, and
then it's time to say, Okay, what do I really
want with my life? And so I knew that I

(14:39):
was supposed to live quite a bit longer than what
I thought was going to happen as a result of
this cancer diagnosis, and I just began I mean literally,
I was broke, I was on food stamps. I had
no money because I had no health insurance. So having
no health insurance and having a cancer diagnosis, they don't
really go hand in hand. And what I know so

(15:00):
is that I knew all of the principles that I
had been teaching because I was an abundance teacher prior
to that, and those principles you can either put them
into place or you can ignore them. And I could
have just put the covers up over my head and
said this is I give up because I felt like
I had been punched enough. And the fact is, I said,

(15:22):
I know what I am, I know who I am,
and I know that the essence of who I am.
I didn't know it was called an inner billionaire at
that point because I gave myself that term later. But
it really truly was one of the most remarkable times
in my life. So that's when I understood that all
of our emotions are in our body. It's not a mindset.

(15:43):
It's got to have a lot of somatic activity involved
in it. And then it also has to be the
feelings that we are creating in our experience are creating
the three D effect that we see outside of us.
So if we begin to reflect that everything that we
see outside of us, we are creating. We are the writer, producer,

(16:05):
and director of all of it. And that's why I
have a podcast called Radical Responsibility Revolution, because when we
start taking responsibility one hundred percent for our lives, that's
when the shift happens. And earlier in the intro, you
were talking about awakening or remembering, it's all of those things,

(16:27):
but for me, one of the biggest words is awareness.
So when we become when we slow down enough, because
if we're not slowing down, we're just on autopilot and
we're going by the unconscious programming. When we slow down
enough to become aware of what we're feeling and what
we are thinking and how we are acting, we can

(16:47):
shift it. But until we do that part, that first
step of awareness, we will continue to do everything that
we've always done expecting a different result. And that's insanity.
And that also it's frustrating because like, why is.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
This happening to me? It's not happening to me. It's
happening through me. Yeah, we've attracted it. We've chosen to
proceed it in the way we see it based on
our beliefs and our fears and our program Yeah.

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Yeah, yeah, And that's the story. So when I the
first chapter in the book is about our money stories.
Our money stories. There are as many money stories as
there are DNA and fingerprints. Everyone has their own. It
was written by us, but we were so young when
we wrote it, we don't realize that that's who wrote it.

(17:39):
I mean, we had experiences that created the download and
between ages one and five were in the alpha brain
wave state. So that's receptivity. That's where you go for hypnosis.
So that's why hypnotics suggestions work so well, is because
they bypassed the beta and go straight into the alpha. Well,
this is where we got our story. And so when

(18:01):
we begin to uncover and look at our story, because
the story, once you start to evolve and remember what
your story is, because there's processes in the book, then
you can write another script. But if you don't understand
what the story is, and it doesn't mean you have
to even know what the root of the story was,

(18:21):
it's just knowing what the story is that you keep
telling yourself over and over and over and over and
then projecting outwards because we have that chemical download in
our body, which is the electromagnetic energy that's sending out
the signal to the universe that says, oh, that's what
they really believe, not the affirmations, it's what's in here, right,

(18:43):
And so that's why that's where the feminine energy is
in the body, the masculine energy is in the mind.
And we need both, right, We couldn't operate without one
or the other. But we've been operating out of our
heads for so long with this masculine construct. And I'm
not debasing that in any way. It's just a fact.

(19:03):
For two thousand years, we all got the playbook. Work hard, hustle,
go fast, do do do Do Do Do Do do
do do do. You can make a song out of it.
But the fact is, when we slow down and we
realize that how we're being is actually the creative force.
This is just to help us navigate the three D world.

(19:24):
The heart and the body are what allows us to
create our world. We do have yep.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
So can we go back a second. You were saying
that you don't even need to get to the source
of these stories about money that we have. How did
I find that the reason we buy into let's say,
you know, we were raised by parents that were constantly
terrified of losing money, and so receive that message that

(19:56):
it's scary, you've got to hold on to your money.
Just giving an expense exactly the reason why I would
even buy into that is because something further back said, oh,
you need to buy into that. Do you ever get
into the origins of why we would even choose to
believe that?

Speaker 4 (20:12):
Yes, And that's part of the process of uncovering your
money story. And as the reason I say that is
because so many people want to get fixated. I've done
this for so long that I've watched people uncover their
money story and then they still want to stay attached
to the experience that created the money story. It's okay
to see that. I know all of my origins. Trust me,

(20:33):
I'm one of those I want to know the origin,
but the origin doesn't change how I interpreted the experience
because that's what's happened. So, just to put that in
a linear perspective, we have an experience, right, So I
had a woman share recently that she had. Her parents

(20:53):
were living on the edge all the time, they never
had enough money, and she just remembers so clearly the
elect company coming to shut off the electricity and all
the trauma and drama that it impacted the family. So
what happens is as a child, because that's when we
get these downloads. As a child, that's a really scary experience.

(21:14):
And so we formulated a story about what all that meant.
The fact is is that they're just experiences, but we
attached the story. So what it was was, we're not
old enough at that point to make a distinction that
those are just experiences. We interpret them and make a
story out of them. So it could you could look

(21:35):
at the story now or look at the experience now
and say, well, those men in uniforms came to the
door took the electricity off, my parents argued. And that
does not mean that I'm not whole, complete and loved.
It just means that that was my interpretation of it.
I use the example of a gentleman that he was

(21:55):
on a documentary on Guya. At one point he got
hit by a t when he was in his twenties,
and he would always say his line would be I
got hit by a truck and I almost died. Like
he always said it that way. So it was in
a coach's office one time and the coach said to him,
you got hit by a truck. He goes, no, I

(22:16):
got hit by a truck and I almost died. He
You're sitting right in front of me. And he said
to him so clearly. But that's when he got it.
And this is what I hope other people will get
as well. The experience was you got hit by a truck.
The story is I almost died. So if we begin
to dissect our stories Byron Katie Loving what is great

(22:39):
book four questions you ask yourself about and it's good
for your stories when we dive into these stories. Is
it true? Right? So, was it true that you had
this experience in your family. Let's say that the guys
are coming in and turn the electricity off and everybody's
having a melt down in the house, right, is that true? Well? Yeah,

(23:00):
can you prove that it's true about your feelings around it?
Because the experience itself is just an experience. It's the
feelings and the weight that we give it with the
story that makes it now part of our download. Here's
the other really important component is while we're having an
experience between one and eight, we're having a feeling. So

(23:23):
the feeling can be fear, it could be lost, it
could be rejection because you feel like your parents don't
love you. Because this is what's happening any version thereof
but all emotions. This is why it's so important to
connect with your body around money especially. All of those
emotions have a vibrational signature because of the chemicals that

(23:47):
get released into your body through that emotion. They stay
there and then we program our brain to say, when
this happens, do this feel this way right? And then
we go out to the world and we replicate it
over and over and over to the point where we
are now addicted to the feelings because I see women,

(24:10):
especially but men that are stressed. Right, There's too much
to do, there's not enough time, there's not enough money.
So what is the physical feeling about that? Stress? Anxiety, fear,
all of those feelings keeps showing up over and over
and over. But those are just the signals for the

(24:30):
universe to create exactly that more of that out in
our three D world. So we have to change it
from here, and it's an emotional change. So we have
to begin to learn how to create emotions just sitting
in our chair. Literally, I can create an emotion about
anything that I want, or I can sit here and
keep replicating the experience. I had something even yesterday that

(24:54):
was causing me an old patterned stress over an experience
with a contractor which us to do with money. The
fact is is that I began to look and say,
oh my gosh, there's that feeling. Because I am a
recovering workaholic, I love high anxiety and stress. I programmed
myself that way, right. I don't do that anymore. But

(25:15):
sometimes because it's such a familiar download in our bodies,
my body says, oh, I know, you want that feeling again,
that feeling of stress, that feeling of anxiety. It's not
from our mind. This is just a little ai that
we have up here. It's our body that's actually creating
the chemical downloads. We're a little pharmacy that we run

(25:37):
around in. And if we realized that we have absolute,
complete autonomy over the body to feel how we want,
and so when we say we want or we desire
certain things, we have to begin to feel what that
would be like, do I want to go on a trip?
Do I want to have a beautiful house? Do I

(25:57):
want to have the perfect relationship? I can't create those
from the mind. I have to create it from the body,
and the body responds to feelings. So that's how that
little package goes together.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
So does that I read in your book something about
future programming? Is that what I call it?

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Future journaling? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Told us about that?

Speaker 4 (26:21):
Yeah, so I gosh, it was many many years ago
a woman by the name of Lynn Grabhorn wrote a
book called Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting. And that's
when I really began to understand. I understood it mentally.
I didn't understand it in the physical or you know,

(26:41):
the practical form, because I was still operating from my brain.
Like when we're operating from our mind, that is only
one tool in this whole plothora of things that we
have available to us. So and I don't I'm not
a big fan of visualization per se, like visioning and
listening to the spirits of the universe. And yet if

(27:05):
you want to feel a certain way, you can create
that energy and it's really simple to do it in
present tense. So I used to do. I had a
little program that I would talk about gratitude and journaling
and future journaling back in the day, and I would
write it out. Well, now we have this beautiful thing

(27:26):
called the cell phone. Everybody has one of these now.
The only reason I bring the cell phone up is
because it's an item that you could just hold in
your hand and talk into it. You don't have to
call anybody. But then you don't look like you're crazy person, right,
because you can do this anywhere. You don't have to
be home or in the bathroom or in a secret closet. Right.

(27:47):
You can actually be sitting in an office space, in
a doctor's office or wherever, and you just start talking
like you're talking to a friend. And let's say that
I wanted this beautiful patio in my backyard, and I
had no idea where the money was. I don't know
how I'm going to create it, but I really want it.
But I want to know how it feels first, because
that energy will create it. Oh my god, Sally, you

(28:09):
cannot believe we just got that patio finished. The kids
are absolutely jumping up and down in the backyard. They
are more excited than we are. And Harry and I
we had our first glass of wine out there, and
I'm telling you, this is the most sacred space. It
was everything that I dreamed of, and my whole life
feels like it is just up level to a place

(28:31):
where I every day I walk out in the morning,
the afternoon, and the evening to experience it. So that's
an example of doing that future journaling in present time
because your mind doesn't know the difference between future and
past if you're doing it in the present moment. You
can do that with so many things. But what happens
is you get your whole body starts to light up

(28:53):
from that feeling of that energy, just that one little moment.
I don't know if anybody could feel that, but I
can feel it because I mean, I don't want a patio,
but I know I could create a patio if I
wanted to. I might have a patio, but I don't
need a new one. So the fact of the matter
is is we can do that with cars and houses
and all the stuff, because it isn't about the stuff.

(29:16):
It's about how we will feel if we think we
have the stuff. Because if we begin to feel that way,
then the most magic happens because things come to you
out of absolute nowhere. Because we have limited ourselves to
where we think our sources, our job just overbroke. We've

(29:38):
limited ourselves by that. And then because we've limited ourselves
in a box, we can't expect anymore. But that's part
of this process, is to begin to expect more good,
unexpected good, and good that's just, you know, a surprise,
because if we begin to feel that surprise feeling, it's

(30:01):
because it came out of where we perceive as nowhere,
and it's somewhere, it's inside of you, and we created it.
So the future journaling is a beautiful Everybody can start
doing that today. You can do it on a journal,
it's not a problem. But what happens is what I
knew was the secret sauce to up level. It was
the voice. Because our voice, we can do affirmations. And

(30:24):
that's one of the reasons that affirmations work a little bit,
is if you say them out loud, because you're now
you're working with a resonant tone, and it's not just
thinking it, it's actually embodying it. Once again, with all
those feelings, and if somebody wants to do affirmations. You
have to attach emotions to the affirmations.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
So hold that thought because I want you to talk
more about affirmations. But we do need to take a
little bit of a break. And I am talking to
Debbie Dobbins and your your label, so to speak, is
queen of magic and I can see that. Ye, I
can see why.

Speaker 2 (33:32):
Welcome back on talking to DeBie Dobbins, the Queen of Magic,
and we were just talking about future journaling and all
of that wonderful, powerful empowering stuff, and I want you
to really get into affirmations because you have a different
way of perceiving them. So tell us tell us your

(33:55):
thoughts about affirmations.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
So, first of all, the way most people will teach
you an affirmation is I am wealthy, I am healthy,
I am and I am is a great mantra, right,
So I am is the most powerful phrase that we
can say, because that is the declaration of I am, so,
I am tired, I'm not happy. All of the things

(34:20):
that we say all day long, and if we become
aware of our I AMS's, that's a big thing right there.
But what happens is with an affirmation, when we say
it like that I am wealthy and you're broke, your
brain says no, I don't think. So that's a lot.
So one of the things if you're gonna be able
to allow your brain to be welcomed into the conversation

(34:46):
about anything like an affirmation, you need to say I
am willing to learn to be abundant. You see the
biggest difference between something like that. It's like, oh, well,
of course I can. I'm willing. Number one, We're all
we we all say we're willing. That's something that's not
a lie. And I am willing to learn because one
of these processes is about just allowing yourself the grace

(35:12):
to see that what you have been doing has led
you to exactly where you are, which is perfect and divine.
We cannot also not be grateful for where we are
wherever that is. That's why I always say, bloom where
you're planted, and gratitude is the gateway to everything, because
we have to begin to be grateful for where we

(35:33):
are so that we can create more of what we desire.
So an affirmation in and of itself is just most
for most people, it's a lie to your brain. It's
a lot of time to spend seeing an affirmation two
hundred times if that's what you're going to do during
a day. And the fact is your time can be

(35:54):
so much more well spent if you do things like
a five minute meditation in the morning and remind yourself
that everything is working in your favor, Like that's that's
an affirmation if you will. But I created a quick
meditation five minutes in the morning that sets the tone

(36:15):
for your day, so you'll remember that through the day
and you just remind yourself everything is working in my favor. Wow,
that doesn't feel like it right, because I stepped on
the legos when I got up in the morning and
I went out to the car and the tire was flat,
and it came in to have a cup of coffee
and the carrig wasn't working, and my day is off
to the races, right. So one of the things that

(36:36):
we want to begin to remind ourselves of is that
everything is working in our favor, even if it doesn't
appear in that moment. So I can ask everybody on
your listening to your this podcast right now, have you
ever had a time where at the moment you just thought,
this is the worst thing that ever happened to me

(36:57):
in my life, and then fast forward it could be
three weeks, it could be three years, it could be
three decades, you say to yourself, that is the best
thing that ever happened to me, because it brought me here.
So the thing is is we have to begin to
put it in a bigger life context than just the
micro of today. Is this is what's happening for me,
because we generally forget, like pregnancy brain that we've just

(37:21):
you know, we gave birth that hurt a lot, and
now all of a sudden, I have this beautiful baby.
So begin to focus on those things that are actually
the good in our lives. So I have two chapters
in the book on gratitude, because gratitude is the gateway,
the gateway to everything, and that's why it is so important.
So I have a science chapter and a spiritual chapter

(37:41):
on gratitude because if we begin to be grateful for
every single thing that's happening right now, that's the part
that replaces an affirmation because when we're grateful for every
moment that we are living, the universe says, oh, that's cool,
because the universe literally conspires to create whatever we believe.

(38:05):
So if it's saying, oh, she's so grateful, I'm going
to give her more, and then you start seeing this
unexpected good. So the next component, rather than an affirmation,
is to begin to look towards your future as expecting good.
Because what we do now is we expect the worst.

(38:26):
I can tell you based on your intro and all
the conversations that you've had with we unfortunately are waiting
for the other shoe to drop all the time. I'm
expecting the problem, right instead of expecting when we wake
up in the morning and say I'm expecting good today.
I wonder what that's good, and then ask yourself something
like this, ask yourself a question, I wonder what that's

(38:47):
going to look like. I'm so excited to see what
that's going to look like. That is not an affirmation,
that's an expectation of good showing up in your life.
And when we do that, we also then program that
retickular vision, which is so important for people to understand
that we all have this reticular vision that sorts and

(39:07):
filters everything that we see in that three D world.
There is an infinite number of possibilities and potentialities. Every
moment of our lives. We're looking outside, but we only
see the ones because our reticular vision says that's what
we want. We only see the ones that comport with

(39:27):
our beliefs, with our actual frequency. And so when we
change the frequency, because that's what this is the body,
When we change the frequency, then we start seeing those
things because the reticular vision says, Oh, that's what she
wants to see, that's what's out there. Because I use
the Facebook algorithm as an example of that, if we

(39:49):
got all the feed from all of our friends, would
say we have five thousand friends on Facebook, There's no
way we could have we could handle all of it.
It's an algorithm that we create for ourselves that sorts
and filters based on what we are feeling. And if
we're feeling, we're going to expect good. Boy, oh boy.
It's amazing the stories that I have heard from my

(40:11):
clients over the years that they actually see that in
a way that they never expected because they're expecting good
and unexpected good. So affirmations they do have an effect.
I'm not going to say that we want to throw
the baby out with the bass water just because you
can manifest a parking space, but I much prefer to

(40:32):
manifest to create the energetic beingness and the frequency that
I am, and I am in charge of that one
hundred percent. I am in charge of my own frequency,
my own feelings, and what I actually am going to
see out there in the world, and that is more
powerful than an affirmation any day.

Speaker 2 (40:52):
Yeah, give us another example of how you've shift the affirmations.
I thought that was a great one, But is there
another one you could share?

Speaker 4 (41:01):
So I use words like I'm leaning into So what
I want to share is that it's so important not
to tell yourself a lie right, because your brain says no.
So when I say these things that I truly am
not believing at that point. So I'm leaning into more

(41:22):
expected good. You see the difference. I just put in
a burb in there that allows me to move towards
I am learning new ways to be more knowledgeable about money,
because one of the things that the problem is for
a lot of people is they don't understand how many works.
I mean, money is just a frequency, but the fact

(41:44):
is is that it also works on this three D planet.
So one of the other components could be Oh, so
I had a gardener come here once and he's in
the backyard and I was paying him quite a bit
of money for what he was doing, and he says,
what did you say? So I've been broke, Alma, I've

(42:04):
been broke my whole life. And I'm like, okay, that's
quite an affirmation. And I said, you know what, you know,
what you could start saying is I'm getting on the
prosperity train. I'm getting on the abundance train. So in
other words, now i'm it doesn't lie to yourself. You're like, oh, okay,
what does that train look like. I'm going to get
on it. I don't know where the destination is, but

(42:27):
it's really just so key to listen to our own language.
And that's a whole chapter in the book on language.
Because we say to ourselves these affirmations constantly that are
limiting and holding us back. I don't have enough money.
I can't afford that right now. I'll never make enough
money to you know, satisfy my dreams. We say things

(42:49):
that are so unbelievable to ourselves regularly on a daily basis,
not only verbally but in our minds, that are keeping
us exactly where we are. And I say this all
the time. If you want to have something different, you
have to completely change what you're doing. And the example

(43:11):
of being a world class athlete or artist or any
version thereof those people that do those things are practicing
what they want on a continuous basis. And this conversation
with somebody recently that there's a book about I forgot
what it was on people that excel, and it takes

(43:33):
ten thousand hours to practice something to be an expert
at it. So I want to be an expert at
teaching abundance and sharing with other people, and so I
have to live it. I have to breathe it. I
have to be it in order for me to experience
that and express it. But we do this thing where

(43:56):
I'll share with people this is what you have to do.
So I've done it for two weeks. Now, why hasn't
everything shifted. Well, let's see, you're forty five, maybe sixty,
and you've been practicing more than ten thousand hours to
be in lack and poverty mindset and feeling like you're
not worthy. So it's not going to shift in two weeks.

(44:18):
You've got to put in the practice of remembering and
knowing that you're awakened and that you can move forward
and through this in a way that is so congruent
with who you are. The problem is is that we
live in this world of instant gratification. Like I've done
the work, really, but you're still thinking the same thoughts. Yeah, no,

(44:42):
you're not doing the work. Yeah, So there's a lot
of different affirmations. Well I did, actually I did a
course on it, so I'll share with you about that
at the end.

Speaker 2 (44:53):
So as you're talking, suddenly I'm out of synaps I
find that a lot of times people get to the
place where they're trying to get to we've succeeded, their
business is successful, and then all of a sudden it's like,

(45:14):
oh shit, do I really deserve this? Nope, I've got
a sabatasha and break it and ruin it. What do
you see people like that?

Speaker 4 (45:23):
Well, that's part of the money story. So what we
all have a money story, right, So we begin with
our money story, and then that money story allows us
because you can most of us, even if we are
a little bit successful, we begin to revert back into
the money story. And so I call it the money thermostat.
So you hit this ceiling if you will, or you

(45:45):
reach a thermostat point of that's as much as I
am as you said, I am worth. So that moving
through that plateau, if you will, if you get to
that place, because you'll you'll find yourself just repeating the
same level of abundance. In order to do that, you
have to go deeper into the money story and begin

(46:07):
to reveal what those blocks are. Because those blocks don't
come in your unfortunately in your adult life. They came
when you were one to eight, and they there's residual
parts of them. So that money story will continue to
show up in the most sneaky ways and you don't

(46:28):
even realize it. So one of the things that the
practices in the book are gratitude and giving and the
future journaling, but also really beginning to look at your
money story in the present day. What is that story
telling you? And I have another fun exercise that we

(46:49):
do in the book is called the money date. So
really getting clear with your money what it's doing for you.
Because here's the thing that most people, once you get
to a certain level, you see still are looking at
my money's coming from a certain certain source. Right to
begin to expand that you can receive it from everywhere
and that passive income and leverage and all those things

(47:10):
come into place. So I teach about investing, but if
we begin to look at learning what money does, how
do we treat money? Because one of the things that
we do, even when we have some money is we
don't treat money as if it's a relationship. It's just
this thing over here that's doing something for us. Money's
the most important relationship that we have in our life.

(47:32):
It affects every area of our life. So it just
is just a deeper level of looking at your money story,
seeing where you are today, and then using some of
the amazing processes that I have in the book to
move you through that plateau.

Speaker 2 (47:48):
So what about I find that when people are not
doing their purpose, they're not listening to their higher consciousness,
and they're leaning towards something that maybe is based on
fear or lack or I don't believe I should do
that other thing because it's too scary. How do you
what do you say to people like that to get

(48:09):
them really were aligned with their purpose and they're real
reason for being here.

Speaker 4 (48:16):
That's a very that usually takes a lot of coaching
because most people are so fearful and stuck where they are.
And that's why when I say it's about opening up
to understanding and believing and trusting that the source of
your good, and we'll call the good for now money

(48:39):
is not from the places that you see it generally.
So if we begin to look at our soul, what's
our soul's messaging for us? That soul, that intuition, that's
a feminine energy, will lead us to where we want
to go. But because we're so imprinted and programmed by
our own self that says this is where safe is,

(49:01):
we stay there because this is where we say this
is our source. So women in their second act of
life will often find this because they've now created the
wisdom that they say, Oh my gosh, i've been hustling.
You know, I was a C suite executive, I was
a mortgage person, I was a real estate agent, any
of those versions. Now it's time for me to seek

(49:24):
what my soul's purpose is here and letting go of
a big paycheck. Wow, that is a struggle for so
many people because even though your soul is calling. I
say that pain pushes until vision pulls. So you have
to get really clear about your vision before it will

(49:45):
pull you enough, because generally, if it's pulling you, the
pain is getting worse for where you are, being stuck
in a relation, stuck in a business or a job
that's not making you happy, because that's really where it
amounts to. You've got pain on one side, you've got
vision on the other, and until this vision gets so
strong that this pain is unbearable, you're generally not going

(50:09):
to make the leap. But so many people are doing
that now, and I think honestly that COVID brought it
to the surface for so many people that they were
so unhappy with what they were doing to bring income
into their families, that they went, there's got to be
a better way, and there truly is, And I think
the planet is awakening in so many different ways from

(50:30):
that perspective. But I can tell you that anybody and
everybody that I've ever coached, that I've ever known that
was a friend, once you make that decision, it's it's
remarkable how your life transforms because then you feel that
authentic you start to emerge. We're not being authentic when
we're living in a lie of I can't stand what

(50:52):
I do every day, and we get up and that
energy that you're putting out is what's coming directly back
to you. So you just put yourself off in a cycle.
So it's just a matter of deciding what that vision is.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Yeah, yeah, And I find that the universe certainly kicks
your butt until you do it, you know.

Speaker 4 (51:11):
Yeh, At least in my life, too many dimes.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
Oh my gosh, I have a permanent bruise. Yeah, really exactly.
So you're in your book, you talk about one simple
action that you can take today to activate that inner billionaire.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
Share that with us.

Speaker 4 (51:30):
Well, I actually ask everybody to decide what their action is,
because I don't have the action for each person, but
I can say that something as simple as I went
through a period of time not too long ago that
I was everything wasn't going right. I mean, I don't
want to be on this podcast and have people believe

(51:51):
that my life is just rainbows and unicorns twenty four
to seven. No, it's just not. It's just not life happens.
And so there was an experience that was very emotional
and all I wanted to do was stay in bed
with the covers up over my head. Now I knew
that that was a it was a little form of depression.
It's a limited period of time. But my knowingness was

(52:14):
all I have to do is get up and make
the bed. Then you're not going to get back in.
I mean, it's a simple act like that. I had
another opportunity a year ago when I was in Plaia
and I was on a call and somebody asked this question,
you know, what's one simple thing you can do to
change your life that you know would change your life?
One thing? And for me, I meditate, but it would

(52:35):
be meditating for an hour a day. So I began
to do that the shifts were remarkable. So it's just
a matter of do you know you know? Ask somebody
would ask themselves, what is the one thing that I
know is not supporting me today? So it might be
not eating correctly. It could be the environment that you're in,

(52:56):
because environment plays such a big role in our over
all abundance quotient. Decide that you are going to change
whatever that environment is, or you're going to reflect on
it differently. It could be as simple as I'm going
to start putting five dollars a day aside instead of
going to the Starbucks. It's just everybody has one thing.

(53:18):
There's a great book called Atomic Habits, and I like
it because he drills everything down to simple, simple, do
one thing. So when I say do one thing every day,
decide what that is, because then it compounds. This is
the premise of the book that I just wrote about investing,
is that compounding is not just for pennies. If somebody

(53:41):
said I'll give you one penny today and I'll compound
it every day for thirty days, or would you rather
have a million dollars, the compounded penny will reflect more
at the end of thirty days. Same thing with how
we change our life, it will compound.

Speaker 2 (53:59):
So we haven't got a minute left. Tell us how
do people find you? Where do you get the book?
Show us the book, book the book.

Speaker 4 (54:09):
I love this cover so much because it literally is
a portal. This book is literally a portal to your
inner billionaire. It will take you straight there if you
do the practices. I have a website Thedewidobbins dot com
Wwwwidobbins dot com, and you can get the book for free.

(54:31):
It's on Amazon for nineteen ninety nine. You get on Amazon,
or you can get it for free. Pay for shipping
nine dollars. I think it's the shipping, and you get
some extra bonuses. So there's a couple of tools that
are included with that that you can utilize. You can
see how you can work with me on my website,
schedule a zoom call, all kinds of fun stuff on

(54:52):
the website.

Speaker 2 (54:52):
So wow, well, thank you so much.

Speaker 5 (54:55):
WI.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
This was really great, and keep up the good work,
the good important work and helping people discover their inner billionaire.
And I'd love to have you back on again. We
can talk some more about all of these things, So
excuse me. Follow me on substack Royce's ramblings. And don't
forget about the eight eight event talking about awakening? What

(55:19):
is awakening? Is it really just remembering? And I will
see you guys next Wednesday. Thank you again, Debbie, thank
you

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
