Para ele, uma parcela decisiva do eleitorado de Ciro Gomes (PDT) tende a se inclinar a mudar o voto caso perceba que o pedetista “costeia o alambrado” da direita –retomando uma expressão do líder histórico do trabalhismo, Leonel Brizola– com críticas que considera “desproporcionais” ao petista.
