(00:01):
This is amazing media production. Hello, most awesome one. I'm a Yanna
Angel and you're listening to the QuickPlaying Small podcast. This easier home for
(00:25):
inspired thinking, your home for feelgood motivation, and your home for getting
honest with yourself in your quiet moments, so that you can reflect, you
can create action plans, you cando what you need to do. I
don't know what you need to do. What you know what you need to
do to get your mind right,to be your best version of yourself and
(00:49):
to go out there and achieve thethings that you are looking to achieve.
So that leads me into what Iwant to share with you today. Although
we are always trying to achieve andlooking toward our next goals and our next
accomplishment, we've started to realize thatthat may not be the healthiest way to
(01:10):
operate. And one thing that Iwant to infuse into that thought is that
your life isn't a race to thefinish line. So during the course of
your career, the location of yourfinish line may move, and the length
of time that it'll take to getyou to that desired point, whatever it
may be, that may also change. But we still have to be gentle
(01:36):
with ourselves knowing that this is ajourney. People who have successfully reached what
they wanted to achieve, they alwaysadvise enjoying the journey. And when you're
struggling and when you're trying to figureit out, and when the days and
(01:56):
the times feel hard, you donot want to hear someone saying enjoy the
journey. You're like, oh,I'm not appreciating the journey right now.
I get that. But my suggestionis be mindful of the journey, be
aware of the moment, be presentand everything that's happening, so that when
(02:21):
it is time for you to lookback, you can look back at the
journey and really remember the moments thatyou experienced instead of it being one big
blur and you didn't really take thetime to see where you were when you
were there. And also it allowsyou to connect the dots more when you
(02:42):
give yourself the presence of mind toknow what's really happening and taking how you're
feeling and all the experiences that you'rehaving. So then when you get on
the other side, you can oh, when I was feeling like this,
and the next happened. That wasthe setup for that. You know,
just just my thoughts, just mythoughts, because you will inevitably get to
(03:07):
the finish line, but you cannever recreate those fundamental moments. So a
few things for you to consider.Did you take in the sights and sounds
when the lessons were learned? Didyou allow yourself time to value the skills
(03:27):
you had already developed and the experiencesthat were given to you as a result
of your journey. Did you developunbreakable relationships with your peers and your colleagues.
Were you present, like I said, through the day to day experiences,
(03:49):
your personal experiences. The journey won'talways feel enjoyable. You may feel
anxious because you want to reach thatgoal so bad, or get to that
point in life that you've been dreamingabout. You want to be the best,
and you want to prove to yourpeers that you're the best, or
your family members whoever it is,or yourself. You want to be valued
(04:11):
in your industry. It's all understandableif you feel that way, but if
you don't regularly check in on yourself, those feelings allow the comparison game to
creep into your psyche. Comparing youraccomplishments to your peers, comparing your life
to those you see only online. You can enjoy the journey more when you
(04:35):
remove that element of comparison and evencompetition. Even you know, like the
only person that we should really bein competition with is ourselves. Outdo your
own best because you know what's possible. You know what you've done before,
(04:55):
you know how hard you've worked toget to where you are, so you
know what you have. I've inyou that can contribute to your next benchmark
and your next goal being achieved. You are you for a reason. You're
learning the lessons meant for you. You're gaining the knowledge meant for you.
(05:16):
You're growing into the individual that youare meant to be. There is no
race to become the best version ofyou. Yes, you want to become
the best version of you, butit's not a race because nobody can beat
you at becoming the best version ofyou. Keep looking straight ahead and go
(05:39):
at your own pace and enjoy theview while you're doing it. Thank you
so much for joining me today.I hope you have an amazing rest of
your day. I am sending youpositivity and good energy through these sound ways
