and we're sore, but no, that was two weeks ago
for worlds Strongest Bro. So I'm actually feeling pretty good.
I still have a bruise, Mark. Oh, I got to
I had to two really big ones. Yeah, goddamn keg

keg Yeah, and I wasn't. I also thought the uh
so the World's Strongest bro. One of the advents was,
you know, trying to lift the keg to your shoulder.
Uh and for the really amateur strong man, uh like
Ryan and Nash lifting three kegs to your shoulder.

But I also feel like that aluminum sometimes catches your skin. Yeah,
and the bruises are also from it, like your skin not.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
It's just like you're sticky by that time. Yeah oh yeah, yeah.
It was a couple of sandbags if you wanted to
do that. But there was three keggs. Is one started
a regular keg waited one sixty five and two twenty,
then two fifty, and that fucking two fifty just would
not get off my chest. I could not get at
that extra couple of inches to get up there. But yeah,
I had a big mark on my leg where I
lapped it to get it to your chest, and then

a big, big mark on my shoulder, and it was like, yeah,
this is probably the worst year I've looked. After the
world a strong, I have a big I had a
big cut on the top of my shoulder where it
was on the where was the kegs were laying on
my on that belone and there. I was like, this
is the word. I didn't feel bad. I wasn't that sore,
but I was like, I look worse than I've ever
come out of wards stongs. Bro. I was sore, but
not like in an injured way, like I could feel

like everything I lifted.

Yeah, I could feel my muscles were like yeah, we
did something. Yeah, and you ran my lap area because
you get the keg up to your lap and try
to reposition your hands and kind of give that boost
up to your shoulder. So I think that heavy keg
just landing on your lap. Because I gave it like
four or five tries full disclosure listeners, I couldn't get

the kegs in my shoulder the year. Last year, Ryan's
wife was going to give it to me. I still
didn't think I had it, but she thought I did.
Sometimes don't give up. He fighting in the end, no
matter what do you think, wait till the referee says
down this year, but I did try. But like you said,
I wasn't training all year to put grab a keg

and hoist it to my shoulder.

But I still felt like I gave it a good run,
not even training with it. Yeah, even our buddy Dave
came out. He doesn't exercise like that at all and
still did a few things. Yes, I was proud of Dave.
He hurt his back. Well he I mean we were
pushing a pushing a pickup for like fifty yards or
however many yards twenty five I don't know, but he

fell Apparently I didn't realize that I was in the seat,
just making sure we you know, it wasn't gear and everything.
But uh, that one sucked because it was wet. It
was great like it was. It wasn't a tight surface.
So like props to Dave man I was. I was
impressed with Dave.

We moved it up, yeah, first position, like there was
no footing. It was mud, so we had to move
it up a couple of feet to solid McAdam. Yeah,
Dave did great. He pushed it, fell down, got back up,
kept pushing, kept pushing it. He said he just felt
like so Dave got some weight behind him.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
He felt like once he got at a certain angle
where you know, you know, you know, like a certain
lower position whatever, then he could he felt like, oh wait,
this is it's moving, this is the right angle.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Keep pushing, keep pushing. And I was like, damn, I
got no video of you doing this.

I'm so sorry. This was the worst nobody got anybody.

I was just in the moment, like I was cheering
him on, ran out to you know, say stop, you know.

I didn't even think about it, pulling my camera out.
And then Dave got tried to do some video, but
I think he was so exhausted it was like upside
down or far away, like okay, yeah, no video, So
there'd be no video this year.

I think I got one video of Alex l doing
the deadlift press medley. That was it. That's the only
one I got.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Well, the first event, it was like a dead lift,
then pick a whiskey barrel on your shoulder, another deadlift,
and get a bigger whiskey barrel.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
To your shoulder. I was press. You had to press
that one, yeah, press it overhead press. Yeah. The deadlift
part was easy. Yeah, it was a frame deadlift. I
don't have much was on it.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
For us non ams shron Man heavy enough, but the
barrels themselves not that heavy, but awkward.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Oh, a fifty one, was a thirty one, was a
fifty five. So then we weighed the fifty five. Is
it's one hundred and eight pounds, so it wasn't a
lot of weight. It's just awkward and if you don't
overhead press, like it is a lot of weight, like
you don't think it is, but one hundred and eight
pounds when you don't overhead press is a solid weight,
and especially at that odd, weird grip of a fifty
five gallon barrel.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Yeah, so I got the smaller one. I'm still kind
of hard because getting the grip the small handholds. Yeah,
we're trying to figure out how to get to your
shoulder and then press it over ahead that big one.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
I tried, but it's that big one owned just about everybody.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah, it's just figuring out what to do. Yeah, then
we pushed the truck and then the rain stopped. Sky's
got better. We headed back to the grass in the yard,
yeah for more overhead pressing and shit, well that.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Was the Then we did the keg to shoulder and
that truck just it took everything I had out of me.
Like I know I could have gotten that two fifty
keg on a normal day and that I was exhausted. Yeah,
I guess the truck should have been last. I know.
It's one of those things where uh like this was
the one. This was the one. And I'm not making
excusesh Nash beat my asses here and it's about fucking

time someone did. But like we got back over there,
it was it was me because you know, I was
trying to take you as trying to be reugh time
everything then and moving and I was stressed out about
moving anything around like the distillery and back and we
got back over to that to my house to do
the the deadlift hold in the uh and the keg

to shoulder. I was fucking exhausted already. That truck just
pulled everything I had out because the first event, I
couldn't believe it. I beaten Nash like over anything overhead
press and deadlift like Nash would fucking crush me. And
I beat him, and I was like, Okay, maybe I
have a chances here, because well you.

Had you had to move the truck back for you
back into the mud. Well like, well you got a couple.

Of extra feet. There's no fun, Storry. He would have
ever let that go. There's no way.

Oh yeah, he put ruts in it. It was, there
was nothing, it was. It was terrible. But yeah.

In fact, when I tried from that same spot, it
just couldn't get zero traction, so I had to move
it up.

Yeah, and we see oh yeah. Then the other one
was the Bulgarian deadlf. We still two kegs.

Ukrainian dead Ukrainian dead lift. That was fun, but uh,
everybody was just picking random weights at first. Oh yeah,
trying to figure it out, which was still cool. It
was a good photo op standing on the top of kegs.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
This was one of those. Uh. It was This year
in itself was less competent, more just like me and
Nash versus each other and everybody else's have a good time,
And that was fine. It was great. It's actually more
fun that way, like not really worrying about it, just
every hey, let's go lift some heavy shit. So but uh,
that was the one that was probably the most worried

about event that ever happened at World Strongest Bro. Yeah,
everybody was so fucking scared to stand on top of
two kegs, even though I was I had done it.
I jumped out there.

It was so good.

Those kids man, all worried. I was like, and I
even told him, I was like, all the stupid shit
we've done it World strong As Bro. You guys are
worried about standing on a keg with a rubber plate
on top that's not going to move, and all.

So World strongs Bro also includes drinking events. I would

You had to chuck, get a full beer poured in
two cups, chuck chuck, chug one cup and then flip
three cups over chug the other half, and then beer pong,
get two balls in.

Yep, I did not win that at all. It didn't
like what thirty two seconds, Yeah, it's like a minute,
I thought.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
When one of the young young Lands did it in
thirty seven thirty seven, I was like shit, yeah, oh yeah,
I was pulled out the win. So I stopped even
trying after that.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I was like, it's all downhill from here, bitches. Oh
and you hurt your peck. I think it was this
more cramp. It was like a strain cramp. It was fine,
like okay, yeah, oh yeah, just coming off on that
whole us, I knew I just wanted to try to
get one more win and for the events, Nash had
pretty much beat me, and but I wouldn't try to
win that one. And yeah, it just like it locked up.

to go and it was just kind of cramp strain,
like just like I said. By the by the next
day it was fine and he's trying like we shouldn't
do anything. I was like, you think I'm gonna fucking

good time. It was more casual.

Yeah, but I feel like the rain kind of split
it up right and kind of made it stressful just
to figure out everybody's standing around. But we can't do
anything in the yard.

Right at this point, I'm kind of like, can someone

of the choreography for the fight scenes was not good,

Them in the dialogue how about the one guy, how

That whole scene. So the so, uh, the story is well,
the first opening scene is just fucking insane, Like what
the fuck? So would they like to do it on fire? Right? Yeah?
Sean Claude's brother is just into drugs, tries to buy
drugs with eight people around him, which is never a
good idea. Like you don't go by yourself in my head.
I don't know. I've never really done any hard drugs,

is like this sucks. I'm going to keep that to

eight guys standing there selling coke.

It's the epitome of a plot device, like how do

Yeah, it didn't look like anything was happening at that outpost. No,
he was like station in Africa somewhere.

read that. I was gonna look up, like, what is
you know, the French Foreign Legion. What is this?

Because I at some point, uh in the movie they
mentioned about his brother was always in the drugs, but
that Leon took the blame for something and then I
that somehow ended up in the French Foreigner. He was like,
oh wait, instead in lieu of going to jail, did
you join me? That was legion?

Because that that was like whenever he finally like is
able to get back to America, he says to his
his sister in law, I have a whole.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Bunch of things discussed about the sister in law, but yeah,
she goes, he wasn't in drugs until you made him
deliver that package.

And he's like I told him that was my fault
and blah blah blah. And I'm like, wait a minute,
so you're a legit, saying that the main character was
a piece of shit that dealt drugs at some point, right, like.

Like, I don't I thought it was his brother had
it was the problem and Leon took the Oh okay,
he took that and then ended up in the French
Foreign Legion, right, That's why I was like, oh wait,
so it was this you had to go do this
instead of serve time in prison.

think if you're in the desert like that far you

like there was no trace of him, like just like

The title of the movie over Seas is a Wall
because he went he did go a wall to go

A kind of interesting because when he meets Joshua, he

He like that's the first thing he like. He's just
immediately like just starts walking through like the homeless section
of New York. I don't know if there's a section,
I have no idea. I've never really been to New York,
but either way, he's walking down like a very homeless
part of New York and there's an underpath or overpass,

so he walked down. There's like a whole big crowd
and it's the street fights. Like I was like this
bum fights or whatever, but you saw it was like
all these blue collar guys fighting each other and he
signs up to fight and against that. It was great
because it's perfect. He signed like no one wants to
fight here, steps up John Claude and then this giant

dude comes out of the crowd like Alph like doesn't
say anything, but you know, like, oh shit, it's that guy.
Everybody knew who he was. It's Sydney or whether his
name was Yeah, I needless to say Van dam Wins.
Of course I didn't. I don't eve think he got

met him at an underpass, but now you're calling him.

that fight and then they what he wants some solid

I guess maybe because he was such an underdog and
everybody was betting at the other guy. Yep, but be
solid money that they're bumming around then and and you
don't you don't really even know it. But Joshua apparently
was the same like the same guy. He was a fighter,
got in that ring. He so he knew all the fighting, right.

His leg was messed up, as we we learned later
that's how his need or whatever.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Was, which I'd like to know what got cut because
at that point there at one point, you know, he
goes and uh has his They get out of they
take that cab somewhere. They get out of the cab
and he's like, I don't need you, I'll get to
La whatever. Well, and he was, oh, well, there's a phone,
we'll go use the phone. I don't know what they
were going to, who they were gonna call, but they

walk over there and there's like ten dudes come out
of the woodwork, like you want to use our phone? Yeah,
fucking pay for it, blah blah blah. And and I
was surprised because Joshua grabs the leader like Van Dam
takes out literally every other guy but one. Yep, Joshua
grabs the but he grabs the main dude and starts
taking him to town. I was like, all right, so
he's got some chops, all right, what the fuck?

Speaker 2 (21:08):
Well, because we find out he fought in this underground
yeah thing before.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
But that's the thing. He's like you didn't know any
of that until right at the very end, yeah plot, yeah, yeah, well.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
He had now he's so yeah, so Joshua knows some people.
He gets him, uh, introduced to Cynthia, who runs an
underground fighting ring.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
And kicks off again.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
His brother's in the hospital dying, and we have time
to raise money by fighting an underground ring, right well
for a bit, mind you. So spoiler when he does
make it la, his brother's dead, like, yeah, you've been
like fighting for months.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Well it was it was what like two weeks since
she called when he first happened to get the letter,
but also didn't she yell in the hospital that he
has no other family, and then she decided like, ah,
maybe I'll find his brother that took the fall for
he moves in now serving in the French Born Leader.
But she called the Outpost. They never told him, so

she sent a letter and it was two weeks after
she called, So he was already two weeks behind eight
ball from his brother who was burned head to toe. Yeah,
severely burned. It smells like almonds. Like that was some
bad shit, Like he was engulfed in flames and that
was that was some hardcore makeup they had on him
for for that, like seeing whenever he's in the hospital. Yeah,

I was like that, dude, there's no way he's yelling Leon.
He is like he's in a medically induced coma if
he's even alive, because he was like they made him
fucked up? Yes, so, uh so then what's the next
fight with Cynthia? Is that?

No, I forgot. The first fight was they went up
parking lot and that was that fucking dude and his
leather fucking vests. Right, he said, dude fighting a lother vest.
It was so good. He's the one who made the

I'm sure in the writing room sounded great. Yeah, sounded great.
