Dzisiaj rozmawiamy o jedności Kościoła. Podejmujemy temat od strony nieco nietypowej, bo nie stawiamy w centrum międzywyznaniowego dialogu ekumenicznego, który to w takim kontekście zwykle bywa przywoływany jako pierwszy. W punkcie wyjścia stawiamy bieżące pytania, które wyzwolił trwający proces synodalny w Kościele katolickim: przy widocznym zróżnicowaniu życia Kościoła w skali światowej pojawia się pytanie o "formułę jedności". Czy stare rozwiązania teologiczne (a za nimi także: prawne) dziś nam wystarczają? Czy nie stoją one w drodze wielości, która de facto jest w Kościele i go ubogaca? Jak więc spoglądać na relację między pluralizmem i jednością w Kościele? Problem ten w oczywisty sposób nie dotyczy tylko Kościoła katolickiego, ale całego chrześcijaństwa, w którym przecież nie może zaginąć Jezusowa modlitwa "aby byli jedno".
Temat naszej rozmowy wiąże się z zapowiedzią międzynarodowej konferencji naukowej "Christianity in Europe. Questions on Unity", która odbędzie się na Wydziale Teologicznym UŚ w Katowicach w dniach 4-7 listopada 2024. Zapraszamy do udziału w charakterze słuchaczy i uczestników dyskusji.
