Plumbing hotline right now. Thank you, sir for joining us.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Thanks for having me guys, Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Sir, the Ravens are They have a couple of mysterious
losses like how do you lose at home to Las
Vegas and how do you lose at Cleveland? But other
than that, their offense is rolling. Can you explain the
mysterious O two starting some of these losses on top
of what is an ultra talented team?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yeah, well, it's interesting too, because you know you mentioned
the ot start and of course fire alarms are going
off all over the place that But if you step
back from a minute, you know, one of those was
obviously on opening night at Kansas City, in a game
that they could have actually gone on to win. The
idea likely stepping out of the back of the ends

(03:13):
of that, you know, barely missing a potential game time
or game winning touchdown with his toe just out of town.
So the narrative probably would have been a bit different.
Have they won that game, they did plan to go
for two? Have they scored there? And of course, yeah,
there's no explanation for the Raiders' loss. There always seems
to be I will say, I haven't covered this team

(03:34):
for a couple of years now. There always seems to
be some sort of mysterious loss, you know, that occurs
with the Ravens. And if you look at that one
in particular, you know that game where Devonte Adams, you know,
and brought Bowers and some of the deficiencies with the
Ravens pass defense that we've seen, you know, really throughout

(03:56):
the course of the season, we're exposed and their offense
really wasn't quite clicking. At that point, they were still
trying to figure things out with Derrick Henry in the
fold and sort of exactly how that all was going
to work in the West. Best way to utilize Lamar
and Derrick Henry and Dave Flowers and the two tight
ends with Mark Andrews and Idiah Likely, who by the way,

(04:17):
is out for tonight. But yeah, look, this is an
offense that is loaded with weapons. Now he gets Mitchell
back today, he will be activated for tonight's game. Of course,
he's one of the most explosive players in the league.
We saw that his rookie year last year before he
suffered a season ending ACL injury. So he's back and
by all accounts looks very very fast. So it will

(04:40):
be interesting. You know, they've got the number one offense
in a lot of ways in the NFL, a lot
of metrics, so and it should get only better with Mitchell.
But yeah, there's no real way to explain some of
those some of those losses other than their defense has
been a problem this year.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Is Brian Wager the Raven to be right at Baltimore,
so joining us in the Beacon plumbing hoighline from Maryland,
And just speaking of the offense thirty five against Buffalo,
forty one against the Bengals in a shootout in Cincinnati
in the first matchup, thirty against Washington. Of course, the
Commanders are a division leader. Forty one against Tampa Bay.
I don't know what happened in Cleveland, lost twenty nine
to twenty four to the Browns team and then forty

(05:20):
one to ten against the Bengals or the Broncos last week.
And that's what the offense Todd Munkin. We see what
Lamar Jackson is doing, and Dereck Henry looks like he's
twenty two. Again, what's Todd Munkin doing that maximizes those
two guys in particular?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Well, you know, you make a great point there first.
And Derek Henry, I mean, this guy looks rejuvenated, or
maybe it's just they camp where he left off in Tennessee.
It just with a more dangerous offense around him and
just looks at that much you know, potent. But you
talk about Todd Munkin. This is year two of this offense,
of course, and you know they've drought some plays, they

(05:57):
brought in some new plays, and really that marriage between
Todd Monkin and Lamar Jackson has been pretty on point
this year. Obviously, the way Lamar is playing and Russell seeing,
you know, the game. We've heard Lamar talk about this,
the game slowing down for him now in year seven,
you know, and we're seeing that sort of manifest itself.

(06:18):
The way he's checking plays, calling the right protections at
the line, scrimmage, all all of that sort of stuff.
The way he's operating at just a really high level
across the board, and you know, his accuracy has been
a little bit better. I think the connection with him
and Dave Flowers to South Florida, guys who even though
you know, came into the league a handful of years apart,

(06:41):
seem to have formed a real bond. They're both from
the same area down in South Florida, and there's a
real connection there. And and Dave Flowers is an obvious
talent and one of the best receivers that Lamar Jackson
has had during his ten uere in Baltimore. You look
at that collection of receivers guys over the years, it's

(07:02):
not pretty Outside of Hollywood Browns, it's a really pretty
depleted list. Now they've got a healthy Rashod Bateman so
that helps. They had the Yantae Johnson, who should get
a few more snaps this week than he did last
week after trading for him from bringing them over from
the Carolina Panthers. So there's just a collection of weapons

(07:22):
around Lamar Jackson that he has just not had, everyone
from Derrick Henry to the tight ends. I mentioned the receivers,
but this team is just loaded out offense.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Mike McDonald is now the Seahawks head coach and obviously
last season was behind that defense that did a really
good job against Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl, and
coordinator Zach or He what is in his eighth year
as NFL coach and first as the Ravens defensive coordinator,
has the heat that he's been taking for the sub
the part.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I would say the subpar play through.

Speaker 3 (07:55):
Nine weeks been accurate or is it more so just
a new scheme kind of what's going on in Seattle
where it's not working out as quickly as you wanted to.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
But this is the situation you're in.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Sure, No, I think it is accurate and fair the criticism. Look,
the scheme hasn't really changed much at all. They're playing
a bit more man defense, I would say than they
have in the past, and Bulleitary is probably down a
little bit. Some of that is a product of just
the path rushers they have versus last year when they

(08:28):
guys like Jenevian Clowney off the edge. This year they've
had to try to scheme up some of those pass
rushes a little bit more, Kyle van Noy and adoss Aola.
But really there's been surprisingly just communication issues. There's been
execution issues with missed tackles and Marcus Williams struggling on
the back end at safety. We've seen and actually wrote

(08:51):
about this today for the Baltimore Sun, Ropewan Smith, All
Pro linebacker for them in the middle of that defense,
kind of a heart and soul, the emotional and really
the one of the better players on the defense, one
of the best players on the defense. You know, he
has struggled, particularly against the pass, and you know some
of that might be you know, we've seen a lot

(09:13):
of bend but don't break with this defense where they're
dropping into the zone. You know, these sort of soft
zones on occasion and teams are able to pick up
easy yards, setting them up on you know, third and short,
which and then of course opens up the play action game.
They've been able to hit shots as I mentioned, downfield,
over the top of guys like Marcus Williams, who has struggled.
So you know, they've had some injuries along the way

(09:35):
as well at cornerback, and the Wiggins and Marlon Humphreys
have each missed a little bit of time. So you know,
there's been a lot of things I think with this defense.
And then you look at the coaching staff too. You
guys mentioned Mike McDonald. I mean, you lose a really
talented defensive coordinator, not just Tim but also a defensive
backs coach. At Denard Wilson's have the defensive coordinator in Tennessee,

(09:59):
whilst at the Weaver down to Miami he was their
defensive line coach. So there's been some turnover in that
coaching staff as well, and I think that's kind of
been the maybe underreported or under talked about angle of
this is when you have that much coaching turnover within
the ranks at at different levels, you know, lest from

(10:20):
DC to D line to the secondary, you know you're
gonna have some bumps and bruises there. And you know, look,
I think this defense has been a problem all year
from a passing standpoint, and I don't really you know,
at some point you would think they'll turn the corner
because clearly the talent is there, I like justin Matt
of Bik and Rokwan Smith and Kyle Hamilton, the All

(10:42):
Pro safety so but it hasn't really materialized yet.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
What happen Withakoy?

Speaker 3 (10:48):
I thought he was a vital piece to the Ravens defense,
and they're like, you know what, We're just going to
release you.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
But thank you though. What happened there? Snaps Brian? Was
he healthy? What happened there?

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Yeah, no, he was, But look, I mean I think
he was just a rotational piece. You know. They look
at again, guys like Dan Noy and o Way as
their sort of primary pass rushers, and of course in
the middle with Travis Jones, who's also been battling an
injury of late and not a BK who's been okay
but not great for a guy who gets paid as

(11:20):
much as he does, one of the top paid defensive
tackles in the league. But the pass rush has been
a problem. They have not, for whatever reason, just have
not been able to really put pressure on quarterbacks. The
fifth in sacks, So you look at it and say, well,
look they're getting sacks, but really the pressure rate the
very middle of the pack. They're down the list in

(11:40):
terms of actually getting to the quarterback. We saw that
in the Raiders game you mentioned earlier. We saw that
in the Browns game. It was a problem. So I
think in their losses the pass rush really has been
a problem. Even in their wins. Frankly, and you know,
games against Tampa Bay and some others, pass rush hasn't
really stood out. So and Gotkway, I think you're the

(12:01):
guy they'll look to bring back on their practice squad
and probably elevate him once he clears waivers if he does. So.
They didn't make a move at the trade deadline for
a pass rusher, which is a little surprising, and bring
in Tredevious White a cornerback. But you know, a lot
of teams need to pass rush outs, so they're they're

(12:24):
not a team that's going to overpay or like to
give up you know, high round draft picks to bring
in a guy who's going to be a rental for
the season. So yeah, I think the pass rushers has
been a problem and continues to be a problem, and
that's certainly had an impact in the past defense as well.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
This is the voice of Brian Wacker. He's talking with
from Baltimore and Baltimore Sun, beat writer for the Ravens
before the Bengals and Ravens play a night five pm
kickoff here in ninety three point three KJFM. Brian the
Seahawks beat writer for the News Tribune and my day job.
And I've been fascinated to watch Mike McDonald as a
thirty seven year old first time head coach and the
leadership aspect of it. What was he like as a

(13:01):
defensive coordinator, both with you with the players? Is he missed?
What kind of impact did he have it? How was
he on a day to day basis?

Speaker 2 (13:09):
Yeah, I mean, look, Mike was terrific here. I think,
well respected across the board, you know, from the Ravens
hierarchy down to players. Fairly popular with the media. You know,
didn't really say a whole lot obviously as a defensive coordinator,
was fairly buttoned up, probably a little bit looser now
in Seattle, but you know, I think he was a

(13:32):
highly respected guy. He'd been with the organization a long
time and then left the course and came back as
their defensive coordinator, so after just one year. So he
was a guy who was tapped very early on by
John Harbaugh in their coaching program as a guy who
he sort of identified as could be a really successful

(13:53):
guy in this league. So really no surprise to see
him get a head coaching job as quickly as he did.
And uh, you know not. I think he will go
on in this league to be a successful coach for
a long time. Just a very very respected guy who
knows what he's doing, you know, very detail oriented, very intense,

(14:14):
and I think he'll he'll have a job here for
a long long time.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
How long did it take the Ravens to do everything
McDonald asked him to do a lot of disguising, a
lot of switching at the snap, guys playing multiple positions
depending on the down. How long did then did that
take to really perfect?

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah? I mean certainly the first his first season has
defensive coordinator, he went through a lot of the same
bumps and bruises that dak Orr is going through frankly
right now. And they see a lot of I think
similarities between dak Orr and Mike McDonald at least early
on in their coaching careers, so but look they you
know it, it took hold pretty quickly. I think that's

(14:53):
one of the reasons why he was so successful here
and why he was so respected, and why the Right
were so good, because you know, they their idea of
positionless football and disguise, you know, putting pressure on quarterbacks
and unconventional ways was something that they really thrived on

(15:14):
and players excelled at and teams had a hard time
figuring out. Frankly, we saw that last year when they
became the first team in the league history to lead
the NFL in sacks, takeaways, and points allat per game.
And I think that's why there's you know, been a
big falloff this year, or a lot of questions rather
about that falloff this year. It's because when you have

(15:36):
such a historically dominant defense and you have, you know,
many of the same players you had last year save
for a few guys, people sort of wonder what the
problem is. And you know, I think some of that's
Zach Orr being trying to disguise things too much at times.
He's talked about maybe using too many sub packages at
times in them, you know, at times just guys not execute.

(16:00):
So it's been a combination of things, and I think
that's you know, you can see the fall off when
you lose a guy like Mike in some of the
others I mentioned Dennard Wilson, et cetera, and see dot
drop off going from a long time you know, coach
within the organization to somebody calling in defense for the
first time.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Ran.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
We appreciate you visiting. We know game days in the
NFL you have other things to do beside talk to
some Yucals in Seattle. We appreciate it. And enjoying the
game tonight. I appreciate your perspective. Thanks Brian, Thanks guys.
Ryan Wacker on the Beacon Plumbing Hotline from Baltimore the
Baltimore Sun, the Ravens beat writer giving us some insight
on Mike McDonald. He makes an interesting parallel of Zach
Orr the peeling and dialing back on all the sub packages.

(16:44):
That's some of what Mike McDonald did last week heading
into the Rams game. He did less. He was a
little less tricky, he was a little less varied. He
simplified the defense, fewer sub packages. With some of that,
he isn't there yet under disguising and the positionless football
that Brian just described it as. He isn't there yet

(17:05):
with the Seahawks, and he may not get there till
next year. Chris, it's taken a while. He doesn't have
the right players yet. The trade for Ernest Jones, the
trading out of Jerome Baker, the trading out of Darryl
Taylor are examples of that. He's just now getting to
where he's got guys in the places he wants to
build upon his defense. Ernest Jones is going to be
here for years. They would not have made that trade,

(17:26):
and I've already seen in two games that he's going
to be a centerpiece of this defense. They're going to
have to re sign him as a rookie. Deal ends
after this year. But only now eight nine games into
the season. As Mike McDonald's start to have players that
he needs to build what he wants on the.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Defense, Yeah, this is the process that it takes when
you bring in a new guy. I didn't expect him
to hit the ground running. They definitely have some of
the pieces, but there's more to it that Mike McDonald's
looking to do. And you're seeing glimpses, but as you mentioned,
they don't even have everything put in yet, and now
they have a new middle linebacker that changes things dramatically,

(18:00):
So you're already behind the eight ball. So not saying
they're going to pivot on to the next season, but
Mike McDonald's definitely going to be going into the offseason saying,
I need to get my guys for this defense to
work the way I wanted to, and I expect I
would expect next season they take big leaps as to
being a better defense in the run, fits, pass coverage,
all of that. I think they'll be fine tuned and

(18:22):
you'll see more of what you saw from Baltimore maybe
in Seattle next season.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
They couldn't get much worse than they've been on run
game for the last two seasons, So you hope they
go up coming up next we'll read back your textan
to tell them we'll do text line four nine, four
to five one when it's the game time. It's totally time.
We've got one from the four to five. That's an
alma mater of UNLV who gives to the collective at UNLV,
the program that just lost its starting quarterback because he
didn't get enough money we'll readback that text and more.

(18:49):
Eleven thirty five factor fixing your chance to win one
thousand dollars from the Emerald Queen Casino. The betting and
the entertainment capital of the Northwest is up next to
ninety three point three KJRFM. Hi, welcome back, thanks for listening.

(19:09):
Greg Bell Show with Christopher Kidd rolls on here on
ninety three point three kJ RFM. You know what the
music means, familiar tunes. It's tell a more do text
line four nine four five one from the two oh six.

Speaker 3 (19:20):
This is regarding college troops and that discussion that we
that you briefly brought up regarding players hasn't for more money,
especially if they have already signed a deal stating that
they're going to get X amount. Well, I just dropped thirty.
Let's up the price. This is from the two zero six,
and of course I just lost it. Isn't that beautiful here?

Speaker 4 (19:40):
It is.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
MultiMate? Nope, that is not it. God, why didn't move
up from the four two five? Says well, you look
for that the four two five. I'm a donor at
Alma Mater UNLV I give to their collective and this
exact thing happened to use the NLV concerning a quarterback
that refused to mention. We talked about this. The starting
quarterback who just left two three games into the season

(20:05):
because he didn't get ANIL money he wanted. He took
the nil money. Then, while going three and zero just
before playing his fourth game that allows him the retcher
with no penalty, he requested more money. The entire scenario
has made me question what at when to donate? How
I found it?

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Two six Why are school is giving this money without
a contract or guarantees? This is a direct example of
unregulated free market capitalism. Glad to know so many people
are in favor of regulating markets.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
So my understanding, some schools do give contracts. Now collectives
are starting to get wiser to this some But then
you get into contracts and these students labor, and then
you get into unions and representation. And there had been
some schools Dartmouth Northwestern who had asked for union local
unions labor unions to represent them have voted to not

(21:01):
do that. So this is all part of it. Labor laws,
union contracts, contracts to former union. Yeah, all frontiers that
the NCAA is not even close to regulating and they
again they're asking for lifelines from Congress to stuff in
and make things laws about this and it has not happened. HM.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
So you remember you asked Greg who on offense has
been the standout through nine weeks and who on defense
has been the standout from the two h six. On offense,
JS has really stepped up this season and became a
big weapon for the Seahoffs. His skill at creating space
with coordinator but the coordinator who knows how to use
it makes me feel good about the team's future after Lockett.
On defense, Julian Love has been a standout hed the

(21:48):
team in tackles last year and could do it again,
showing great leadership and solid coverage skills.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
I think that's fair. Yeah, Jillian Love has been really
good and think about where he is now compared when
they signed him from the Giants before two seasons ago.
He's become a Pro Bowl safety. He's been so good
that they got rid of Jamal Adams and Quandre Diggs. Yeah,
it was Julian Love of forced Jamal Adams has time

(22:14):
to end, and Jamal Adams himself also forces time to
end in Seattle. But if they don't have Julian love.
They are nearly as quick to cut and sever ties
with Jamal Adams.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
From the four two five. My dad stopped donating last
year basically due to loyalty. He's old school and as
other buddies are that same well of thought. I think
if we are soon, I think we can soon follow
his thoughts.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
Yeah, that's the thing, that's what I'm talking about. They're
gonna be some donors and collective supporters who are gonna say, ah,
I'm done with this. This isn't how it works. You
should be a person of your word. If you agree
to play to a school for this amount of money
and you don't fulfill it, we're done. And that's the
old I'm inferring that that's the old school he's referenced.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
He's referencing there, and what would this show will be
if he didn't read this? From the two oh six,
John and Jerry are cowards. Kyle from Ken Moore, He's
very consistent.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
He is. He is consistent almost every day. Oh yeah,
many times a day.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
Right, we saw I saw it this morning at around
ten oh six, Yeah, earlier this morning, nonetheless for.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Five, says Derek Hall. Five sacks turn that guy completely loose.
I agree. If Derek Hall has been very good, used
him again. He was only twenty six percent of defensive
snaps last year with Pete Carroll and Clint Hurd. Mike
McDonald wants him to be even better in run defense.
He needs his outside linebackers to stop there. He needs
all his linebackers, but his outside linebackers to stop the run.

(23:42):
The reason Darryl Taylor is here is not because of
pass rushing. It's because of having to stop the run first,
and run fits discipline of containing. You've seen quarterbacks get
outside and extend plays around Derek Hall at times. He've
obviously in his first full season of playing. He's not
a finished product, but those are the areas that Mike
McDonald's trying to get there. Call to improve. Thank you

(24:03):
for those texts four two five. Quote better than Jamal
Adams isn't really a compliment. Yeah, I get I get it.
You're right pretty low bar. Now's your chance to win
one thousand dollars from the Emerald Queen Casino, the betting
capital of the Northwest. Right now, we're set to go
glat you with us.

Speaker 5 (24:20):
It's your shot at our Weekly thousand bucks and the
ten thousand dollars grand Prize. It's Factor Fiction, brought to
you by the Emerald Queen Casino, the betting capital of
the Northwest. Make the beautiful New weekc Sportsbook your home
all football season long. Factor Fiction is on Sports Radio

(24:41):
ninety three point three KJR FM.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I know it going back to the pros, of course,
go ahead. This is an easy pick.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
They lost last week by one point to the Panthers,
so they're at home. They're probably gonna lose, but I
don't think it'll be more than three points, So go ahead.
Give me the New Orleans Saints plus four. You just
fired their coach last seven in a row, exactly. They're
probably gonna lose the game, but I don't think it's

(25:14):
gonna be more than three. So give me the Saints
plus four at home against the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta should
win the game, but I think it's gonna be by
a field goal or something.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
It'll be a close one NFC South battle. Cool.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Great, you get your money, so go ahead. I'm taking
the Saints. Fire their head coach. A whole bunch of
drama going on. You know what you need? You know
what solves that a w and I think they will
lose the game, but it won't be a blowout or anything.
It'll be a close one.

Speaker 1 (25:43):
Three and a half. A drive went down, Yeah, what
I'm just saying, eliminate confusion.

Speaker 3 (25:51):
No, if it went down by half a point, fine,
I'll honor that. Go ahead three and a half now, God,
I really love that before. But now it's at the
and a half. I can't switch up now, so you can. No,
I can't.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
I just wanted to be clear. It's three and a half.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Half a point. It has moved half a point. So
with that being said, it is now three and a half.
So give me the Saints plus three and a half
points versus the Falcons at their career, they're at home.
I don't think they'll win, but my goodness, you give
me three and a half points to you.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
To pick a TV last seven in a row and
just fired their coach. Hey, I think that was the same.
I think that was closed with the Panther. They had
lost multiple games in a row. New quarterback comes to town.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
There are other games you could pick, by the way,
none of those other games were easy. This is easy, easy,
Chris says. Saints plus three and a half at home
in the Superdome against the Falcons. If you agree, text
factor four nine, four or five one. If you disagree
and you think that the Saints are going to lose
by more than four points four or more points, text

(26:55):
fiction to four nine four to five one. You have
about eleven minutes and after which time it'll be two
thirty five for your next chance with Ian Furness during
his show from twelve to three or three thirty five
Softy in Dick's show leading up to Angles at Ravens
Tonight at five pm on kJ R Saints plus three
and a half at home of the Falcons. You agree,
text factor four nine four or five one. If you disagree,

(27:17):
text fiction to four nine, four or five one. You
have about ten minutes left. Ian Furness is joining me
next we'll talk a little bit before his show begins.
On ninety three point three kJ RFM, Welcome back Greg
Mill's show with Christopher kid Rolls on. You got a

(27:38):
couple of minutes still to pick factor fiction. Chris is
saying Saints plus three and a half at home against
the Falcons. If you're Greek tech fact the four nine
four to five one if you disagree text fiction to
Fortnite four to five one. You may be able to
hear Ian Ferness's eyes rolling at that.

Speaker 6 (27:55):
You're not.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
They're not. The Saints are not trying to win. Three
and a half means you're trying to win.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
We got a couple more minutes of factor fiction.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Year after fiction standings here real quick and see.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Twenty four and seventeen coming into the week.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
You remember you guys as a as A as a show.

Speaker 1 (28:14):
Let's see Yeah twenty four, I'm five and one the
last two weeks. Yeah, I don't. I'm not wor nine you.

Speaker 4 (28:21):
I'm not worried about well, Christian only you're eight and ten.
You're only a couple of games below five hundred.

Speaker 1 (28:27):
I mean, it's crazy how that would make you.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
That would put you really good. If you were on
the afternoon show, like you'd be number one there. And
that's seven more wins than you had last year.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Right man, I was telling you yesterday last year was
a business. I thought you were exaggerating one win all season.
It was ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
It was bad.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
It didn't make any sense.

Speaker 3 (28:45):
It's as if they knew I picked a game like
you know what, let's just make it tough on Chris.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
That's how I felt everyone.

Speaker 4 (28:52):
Would have felt like, man, it was it was hard
for you. Man, I get you, I get you.

Speaker 1 (28:55):
So that's what you give me for my debut fourteen
and nine and no factor.

Speaker 4 (29:02):
Yeah, yes, you're sixteen and ten, sixteen and ten. Now, yeah,
it's an updated I believe. Yeah, you're sixteen and ten.
Chris is eight and ten. Everyone, let's see, and by
far the most wins because I had the most picked. Yeah, Anders, Jessamine,
Greg Ashley, Chuck Ian Bucky are all over five hundred

(29:26):
for the year. And then there's four people there. Three
are on from three to seven and the other one
is the whole show behind the glass right over there,
go Irish.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
You know what the good news is, We're going to
finish above five hundred.

Speaker 4 (29:41):
Damn right. You are go get them, buddy, go get them,
You go get them.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Thanks, Chris, you go get them kids. Thanks for helping
out there. You go get them, kid. But then you
pick these Saints Falcons or and then when I'm right,
it looks great answers.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
And I think this year, honest in all seriousness, if
the NFL has felt really hard to pick this show.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
I've just gone call it. That's part of the reason
for my SI say.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
Yeah, well and you go with the army team this
one every week. Yeah, when do you guys have a
land mine?

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Notre Dame at Yankee Stadium a couple of weeks, two
weeks from now. It's the end of November, twenty second November.
I think it is whatever that weekend is, twenty third.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
I think I think we we as kook fans. I
think we want you guys to win that game.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Why you want every non power.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
Forward that's that's yeah, well that's two for two losses.
Notre Dame's in right now with the loss, that's two
losses for them. That would hurt them immensely.

Speaker 1 (30:30):
I think, aren't you chasing the lowest rank or the
highest ranth non power.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
For we need some We need Boise State to lose. No,
we no, we need boys. Bois is fine, they're out
of they're out of the mix for us. It's because
they're gonna win out and they're gonna win out. Boise
State's got a damn good chance to have a buye.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
But the committee only has to take one non powerful
correct correct.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
But when you start getting multiple losses in there.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Come on a three loss, Alabama would go over a
non power four.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
Probably, but doesn't mean like it's not. I mean Indiana
loses a couple of games, Yeah, they're out that Like,
that's that's who you need. That's the teams you need
to lose. Right, Boise States hoping for chaos in the
Big Twelve. That's what they're hoping for because because because
they need BYU this week, they need they need BYU
to lose a game or two, and they need Tech
and we need Texas Tech to keep winning and maybe

(31:16):
win the Big Twelve. That helps us us being Wazoo.
So I mean it's I think it's a massive long
shot for Wazoo. I understand, we all understand that.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
So what bow would it be if they don't go
eleven and one independent?

Speaker 4 (31:27):
I think I think uh Alamo is the next one
is the highest one.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
I think because they're still retaining some of the peck
twelves they do.

Speaker 4 (31:36):
All the teams that are in the A C C.
Stanford Cal Big twelve, Big ten, and R two schools,
they all are still in the pecking order for the
because well because they still had they had a conference
agreement agreements with those bulls. But honestly, what I knowing
that our guys are probably not getting the college football playoff,

(31:57):
and I think New Mexico's gonna be hard game in
two weeks, to be honest with you score a bunch points,
but they I I hope eleven and one happens. But
more I really hope the Boise State finds its way
and and is the is hot ranked higher than the
ACC or well ACC would take a lot, but Big
twelve wouldn't take a lot. So if they're higher ranked
in the than the Big twelve, they get the bye.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
Right highest drength, non powerful. That's right right now, b
YU night rank is a team.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
B YU are Boise State rather is only for three
spots behind right, they could.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Easily leap frog them by US at Utah this weekend,
and Utah has been a mess or disaster. But you know,
Kyle Willingham, I mean that game in particular. Yeah, a
lot of connections there. I mean EVERYYU staff from Utah
and Utah stuff from by Ulata connections. That's the whole everything.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
Kyle's you know, people forget Kyle's the b YU alum.
That's right, that that is, in my opinion, is the
best rivalry I have ever been around. It is Apple
Cup's okay, I think the Civil War. Sorry, no one
else spposed to call it that, but whatever Oregon, Oregon State,
that to me is just okay. I mean I was

(33:09):
there for six years. I thought that was like a
blah rivalry. The Apple Cup is bitter because everyone's here
and there's but there is nothing like byu Utah. I'm
telling you it is twenty four seven, three sixty five.
It's very Alabama Auburn. Like if you're doing radio down there, Greg,
you can bring that up. You can bring up byu
Utah and some sort of topic in July and you

(33:31):
people will go bananas. It's crazy. It's awesome. Actually, it's
really awesome. I don't know if if Utah has even
close to the horses to get there this year. But
you know, cam and Rising, Yeah he's not he's not
even playing. No, no, he's a committment nine next year
probably yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
Right. Yeah, you minage the Army Navy. The very first
day you show up at West Point, it's beat Navy, man,
beat Navy, sir. That's that's all you say for four years.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Yeah, and that's why when the byu Utah rivalry went
away for a while was kind of a bummer. But yeah,
and now it's back. I still think. I still think
you TuS got massive buyer's remorse for being in that
Big twelve.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
But I think they were hold for the Big ten.
Of course, yeah we more money, yeah yeah, but the
one was their alternative before they went.

Speaker 4 (34:12):
To They had none. Yeah, yeah, they had none. They
had none, but he had. Today Stuart Mandel's Beking of
College Athletics, we'll talk to us coming up at twelve
twenty Today Corbyn Smith's Weekly visited one on this bye
week and then the unofficial start of the weekend with
Brandon fundstage at twelve sharp. Yeah you've got uh in
five minutes and fifty seconds. You can send your text
in for fundstand nodded second earlier. If it is nothing

(34:35):
at that point, you get nothing. We replayed your Gary
Parrish unbelievable. Huh.

Speaker 1 (34:39):
I was listening to it. I stopped my car at
the driveway. I was getting out of the car and
I stopped it and didn't get out of the car
to listen. I was a what I have a friend
very high up in the Memphis Athletic Department, who is
pretty staunch in his morals, and I could see totally
him going, Okay, see.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
You, yeah, thanks for coming, you'd be I think he's right.
Wait for a min we'll see who's leaving another school.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
That's crazy the semesters. When's that that's going to be
in all sports? Well, the sports have money throwing up.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
Forts that money. So two sports a sports?

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Yeah yeah right. Ends up next from twelve to three
is Factor Fiction Chances at two thirty five, and then
Dave Softi Maller and Dick Fang's Chances at three thirty five.
Remember Ravens Bengals at five o'clock tonight, Westwood Ones coverage,
we'll be live here on the air and KJR, Greg Bell,
