The Breakdown of Another Update

What!?! Another Update? We just had one of these. Well, Christopher is here to explain why a promised episode will be slightly delayed and detail a few changes you should expect going forward with the podcast.

of the movie Breakdown. Yes,you heard that right, It is not

an episode of the movie Breakdown becauseyou've only got one host, me Christopher
Spicer. Now, for those whohave already heard our episode from this week
of the Breakdown of the most rewatchedmovies of the past ten years, you
know, at the end of thatepisode, we dropped the bomb that we'd
have a bonus episode, an extraepisode for the week in the Breakdown of

Dungeons and Dragons on our among Thieves, that we'll be doing a deep dive
into that movie. And we've recordedit, we've already discussed it. It
is ready to jump into your earsand for you to hear us talk all
about that movie. But for personalreasons and for some career reasons and just

some plans that we have for themovie Breakdown, we've decided to change plans,
not do a double episode week,but instead have that episode come to
you next week. And so thatthing gives us some extra time to plan
ahead and to make sure that thefall season of the Movie Breakdown is the

best possible one. We want theMovie Breakdown to be rocking you with amazing
episodes every single week going to thefuture and beyond, affinity and beyond.
We just wanted to just keep onrocking the movie talk for years and years
to come. And so we willhave the breakdown of the Dungeons and Dragons
on our Among Thieves podcast for younext week, and then after that we've

got the plans of doing the breakdownof the best Coming of AIDS movies of
the past ten years. We canlook forward to that the week after that.
So the plan going forward is tohave episodes of the Movie Breakdown every
single week, and another going intothe announcements is that it's going to be

coming your way on Wednesday going forward. That's right. We are then doing
a change. We are moving it. For those who have been with the
Movie Breakdown since the beginning, youknow that it used to be a Monday
thing. We'd have it every Mondaymorning, and then a few years ago
we moved it to Tuesday, andthen once again for various reasons that just

work out better for us, we'renow dropping it every Wednesday morning. And
so the plan is, hey,used it off your week you get,
you're working hard, you're doing yourthing, and then hump day comes and
there's a Movie Breakdown for you togive you that extra boost to take you
to the weekend. But that doesn'tmean then once in a while there isn't

gonna be some special treats. We'renot gonna have some bonus episodes. The
plan is once a while we willhave two episodes in a week, maybe
even three episodes in a week whenit works out. And so our plan
is definitely to keep on doing thevery best we can with the Movie Breakdown,
But for now, the guarantee isevery Wednesday morning, you're going to
have the Movie Breakdown there for you, and who knows what other special treats.

And there is a plan that I'vebeen talking about for a while is
that we want to kind of moveto YouTube and maybe do some other bonus
little things, maybe some mini reviewsand other things that come out during the
week. Sort of still trying tobrainstorm how that will work, but that
is something you can also look forwardto during the fall as we start putting

that in place as well. Andanother thing is all this stuff I'm talking
about right now. I also wroteon Beyond the Balcony, my pop culture
site Beyond the Balcony, And Iknow there is the reason why I'm doing
this in podcast form is I knowthere's some people that just listen to a
movie Breakdown, so they wouldn't knowabout these changes. And there's some people

that just read Beyond the Bulky sothey wouldn't really care about changes that are
happening to the movie Breakdown. Butfor those who are just listeners, I
do want to encourage you. Itreally helped me out if you would read
my stuff and check out Beyond theBalcony. There is some really big plans,
some things that I'm hoping there'll bea lot of fun that's gonna come

starting this fall. There is goingto be movie reviews and something are gonna
be exclusive movie reviews, stuff thatwe will not talk about on the Movie
Breakdown. I'll be talking about movienews, talking about some different trying out
some different creative pieces, some humorpieces, some things about my plans of
being sort of a pop culture obsessedparent, and all that type of stuff

that I've been doing for years,and I'd love for you to check that
stuff out. I'm also planning onlaunching a newsletter, still sort of figuring
out how that's going to work,as well as doing a weekly serialized piece
of fiction, So a big longstory that's going to be broken up into
episodes. If you guys are intofiction, that's something you can look forward

to. That's going to be happeningtoo. And so it would be awesome
if you would support my writing alongwith my long with a podcast every single
week, and if you're not readingmy stuff, and there's a reason I

I guess our relationships just going tobe a podcast one, But I would
love to find out ways that Ican get better and make sure that we
are creating stuff that's engaging, insightful, entertaining, and valuable for our audience.
