Well, look at here. Youare listening to someone who is bold,
authentic, diverse, unpredictable. Baby, I am unapologetically ramon and you have
entered my zone, the QB Zone. Baby. Hello, somebody rock.

(00:51):
Listen, y'all know who it is. It is your boring more my keys
and yes, y'all back down tothe QB Zone for another episode. Listen.
Today, I'm gonna talk about asubject that because this season I've a
lot of the episodes have been very, very serious, and my choice,
whatever has been placed on my heartis what I choose to talk about.
I wanted this season to be alittle more authentic and less planned. So

(01:15):
whereas the past two s the firsttwo seasons, every topic was every topic,
every episode was planned, it wasreserved, it was outlined, it
was you know, put together.I just wanted to be a little more
just go with the flow. Idon't know what I wanna talk about until
that day or onto a subject randomlycomes across my mind. Well, today,

(01:40):
the subject that came across my mindfor today's episode is afro djacks.
Afro djacks. First thing I thinkof when I hear the word afrodijac,
I think of like oysters and seatfood and chocolate chocolate covered strawberries whipped cream.
I wanna talk a little bit moreabout afrodjs. I remember when I

(02:01):
was a student at Florida International University, and I wanted to say it had
to be like my junior year,I believe where I'm sitting here trying to
figure out which electors I wanted totake. I loved psychology, I loved
sociology, and so I e althoughthat was my major, that was my
minor. I had pretty much takenall of the psychology and sociology class I

(02:23):
wanted, and so I happened tocome across it was a very short list
of new electives that FIU was offering, and one of them was sexuality,
and I thought it was quite interestingbecause it talked about sexuality from different cultures

(02:44):
in different countries. And I cantell you right now, between all the
textbooks that I had in junior, high, high school, and college,
that was definitely the textbook that's theonly textbook I from front to back.
I babe, I read that. But luck it was a novel, Okay,

(03:06):
but I learned a lot about afrodjacsand the different desires that different cultures
have and different things that fuel thatsexual essential desires. This episode is not
one that is raunchy. It isnot raunchy like my first three books were.

(03:29):
This is just a little more central, really more informative than anything.
And just a few things I cameacross that I wanted to share with you
guys when it comes to afrodjacks. And so we're just gonna talk about releasing
our inner adventure. You know, have you ever wanted to spice up your
romantic life and push boundaries in thebedroom or wherever you like to have sex.

(03:53):
Look, you ain't gonna look nofurther because I want to dive headfirst
into some exhilarating ideas when it comesto the world of afrodijacks, from decadent
oysters to tantalizing brandy talking about thedrink, not the artists, although you

(04:13):
can, but at the same time, I want you to get ready to
explore some tantalizing universe of libido boostingfood And for those who know what liberto
is that based it your hor yourhorniness, your hormonales, you set your
sex drive. We're gonna talk aboutsome foods that would definitely help you set

(04:34):
your passions on fire. You know, afrodijacks the age O secret to ignoting
desire and fueling lust. These enchantingfoods have been renowned for centuries for their
alluring properties that promise to set themove for a night of passion. So

(04:54):
why not add a little adventure toyour date night an experiment with some of
these central delicacies. Step away fromyou know, the regular food, stayed,
chicken, rice, whatever. Let'sspice up a little bit. So
I briefly talked about it earlier.Let's get this started. Let's get the

(05:14):
party started with something I've only triedone time. It was okay, don't
need to try it again. It'scalled oysters. You know. The ultimate
afro djak weapon is what they calloysters, the ultimate afro djack weapon of
choice for Casanova's and Vixen's. Theseslippery delicacies are not only a luxurious treat

(05:39):
for those who love them for yourtakes, bugs, but are also celebrated
for their libertal boosting properties. Allegedly, they really spike up your horningts and
your sex drive. So whether youeat them raw on the half shell or
grill them to perfection, oysters aresure to get the hormones racing and set

(05:59):
this days for a night of intimacy. Then the next thing you can participate
in is brandy, and brandy istreated as if it comes with a sense
of sensuality when it comes to stainerof the mood. Brandy is what they
call the elixir of love. Thissophisticated spirit, as some call it,
has long been associated with passion andseduction, making it the perfect companion for

(06:25):
a romantic evening in. So whynot pour yourself a glass, savor the
rich flavors, and let the intoxicatingaroma of brandy awaken your senses and fuel
your desires. Then a lot oftimes we may not realize there's a direct
link between food and desire, rightbecause there's no secret that what we eat

(06:48):
that directly impacts our bodies, includingour sex drive. So incorporating afrodjacks into
your diet cannot only tantalize your tastebuzz, but also wrap up your libido.
From chocolate and strawberries to figs andavocados, which I was surprised a
by avocados, But these sex foolsare packed with nutrients that can throw your

(07:13):
sexual desire and leave your craving formore. Allegedly, now there is a
little science. There's a little sciencebehind afrodijacks. Okay, So while the
idea of afrodijacks may sound like premagic, there is indeed science behind their
sensual powers. Certain foods contain compoundsthat can stimulate the production of hormones associated

(07:39):
with sex drive, leading to increasedarousal and desire. So the next time
you tuck into a play of delectableafrodijacks, know that you are not only
indulging your palate, but also stokingthe flames of passion within. Now,

(07:59):
are are you the adventurous type? Are you feeling the adventures maybe a little
mischievous? Why not playing a romanticdinner featuring a variety of different afro djak
delights. I remember going back towhen I was at Florida in nash University.
This is post me pledging and becomenever cap office side. I remember

(08:24):
we were having an event. Thiswas during my senior year. I remember
us having an event and the themeof it was afro djacks. And so
what we did is that we hadIt's so funny because you knowing that money
long song, hours and hours whereshe talked about a champagne tower. Well
we had cause it's a it isa wet campus. FIU is a wet

(08:48):
campus, so we did have champagne. But I remember we had some kind
of liquorp and so we made atower, and then we had tropic covered
strawberries and we just had different typesof afrodijacs. Right, And so the
purpose of the event was not oneof those freaky events or let's just talk

(09:09):
about sex. It was so muchmore than that. We utilized the thought
or the idea of afro djacs andyou know, the subject matter and the
actual you know, items themselves. But we really took that to draw people
in. But the event was aboutsexual SDD awareness. I'm sorry, I

(09:31):
don't know why how I was havinga brain fart. It was really about
SDD awareness and just going over thestereotypes in our community because the majority of
FIU are minorities and people of color, right, So it was it really
was a dope event. What wasso funny? This is so off topic,
but anybody who knows me know thisis right on trend with me.
So what's interesting about that night iscrazy just came to my mind, is

(09:54):
that as a part of the Greekcommunity, specifically the Black They had this
rule where, of course, wheneveryou want to have an event, you
have to reserve the event. Youknow, you have to go to a
specific department on campus, and youhad to reserve whatever the location was you

(10:16):
wanted to have the event right. And I remember this particular event, there
was this kind of drama behind thescenes because the same night as the event
that we were having, and itwas my all, it was my idea,
it was my chapter that was puttingit was putting the event on.
And I cannot remember for the lifeof me if we did it, if

(10:46):
we hosted it by ourselves, orwe did it with somebody. But what
I will remember, what I doremember is this. I remember there was
this whole big thing before the eventstarted where they realize that the date,
not the venue, but the datehave been double booked. And once again

(11:07):
they don't want us to have eventson the same day. They're like they
try to, you know, theywant support, unity and some cohesion them
and everybody support each other. Andso if you want to have an event
the night that another organization is havingit, you can't, or you can
if you think you got it likethat, you might can talk them into

(11:28):
moving it, or you know, depending on what the organization is and what
kind of event is, you mighttalk about collaborate on it, or you
can be like my chapter and someothers that was just like, no,
we're not sharing, and you know, we're just gonna have to figure it
out. Well, they didn't makea shame to the date. And so

(11:50):
the same night of this event, the Alpha chapter, the chapter for the
alphas Alpha Fire Alpha, trying toincorporate it having that event the same night,
and I can't remember who had I'mpretty sure it was them. I
feel like they reserved the room first. But when you got connections and you

(12:13):
got it like that, you getcertain privileges. And so we're gonna keep
that part of the short of thestory short. Let's just say that they
didn't make the capitals. They didn'tmake us change reschedule all event toward the
other day. They didn't make usreschedule it. They allowed us to have
the event on the same day.And so either that our FOS was gonna

(12:35):
still have the event or they wasgonna cancel it. And what was So
I'm not gonna say shady, butjust to kind of I can be a
little petty. That's a whole differentconversation, a whole different talk from the
other day. And so one ofmy line brothers, because remember I told

(12:56):
you all this event was about, you know, sex of wellness, SDDAL
wellness, x L STD awareness andwellness. I don't know what's wrong with
my ton today, y'all. II swear I don't know what's going on.
But nonetheless, one of my linebrothers, his cousin profession was in

(13:16):
that field, like he deal withstda's awareness daily, with the Health Department
or whoever he worked for at thetime, and he just so happened to
also be a member of Alpha Alpha. So of course my painty asked,
was like, oh, we shouldget him to be a s a speaker,
be a presenter, got his nameand everything on the flyer. Of
course, the Alpha though, that'sone of they frat brothers. So the

(13:37):
Alphe got event the same night theKappa's plan were on the same night.
The Kappas refused to move their eventor reschedule their event, and they got
an Alpha who's gonna be a partof the event. It was this whole
big thing and they came to mymy d My Childers's brother was wrong for
this cause they knew what was gonnahappen. Alpha's approached some of my fraternity,

(14:01):
some of my chop the brothers.I guess they thought they were gonna
get them to talk. I guessthey thought they was gonna be able to
talk then out of have an eventthat day. Trying to get them to
a schedule. Well, what doesmy chapter brothers do? They were like,
Oh, it's gonna be up tomy own. Really, we're not
a chapter of one person. Buty'all often leave it up to me.
You know what I'm gonna say.You know I'm not changing my date.

(14:22):
So we end up having an event. Anyway. It was an amazing after
DJAC event. It ended up beingway more people than I thought it was,
so it was so popping because youeven had the OFFA still went and
had their event, but they cultthe event short and everybody ended up pulling

(14:43):
up to our event. Don't askme why I got off topic and shared
that story with y'all, but itkind of counter was lated and kind of
not because we know we're talking aboutafdjas and that reminded me of it,
but neither here nor there, youknow. So when it comes to any
a romantic dinner featuring an array ofdelights. You can have succulent oysters,

(15:07):
You can have chocolate with some fierychili peppers, and they say that it
has an exotic seffron to it.The possibilities of what you can do with
afrodjacs, specifically foods, because there'ssome drinks involved too, as we talked
about earlier with the brandy. There'sso many differ things you can do specifically

(15:30):
with the food. So I thinkyou should grab your partner, channel your
inner afro Dejac adventurer, and embarkon a journey of sensuality and exploration.
Trust me, it's so much fun. There is a long list of foods
that fit the afrodjac category. Fitin that category, and I promise you

(15:52):

eat quite often, and so kindof bring that into your relationship and do
some kind of interesting things with it. So us what I tell you,

have a guy during good time.Okay. Now, whether you believe in

(16:15):

them into your culinary adventures. Thereis no denying the excitement they bring to
the table, literally and figuratively.Okay, So why not indulge in a
little culinary escapade and see where ittakes you and your partner. Who knows,

(16:38):
you might just discover a whole newworld of pleasure and desire waiting to
be explored. So listeners, helloout there, what are you waiting for?
Dive headed first into the seductive worldof afrodjacts and then, lease,
you're in a passion. Now.Remember the key, The key, The
key, the key to unlocking thesedesire lies in the tantalizing flavors and aromas

(17:04):
of the libido boosting foods. Makesure that the flavors of these items don't
just don't just throw stuff together.Make sure the flavors compliment each other.
And if you're gonna have smells anddifferent smells involved, whether it's all incense
or whatever, make sure the smellsare compliment each other. You don't want

(17:25):
no smells just clashing and just messup the whole move. Say something else,
but I'm trying to stop cursing messup the whole move. Okay,

(18:33):
Let me go back on my blogfrom all my Keys official dot com.
That's our A M O n EM A r q U I S
official O F F I c ia l dot com. If you go
to that site and go to myblog the key spox, I actually have

(18:55):
a blog article where I share specificrests for dishes. You can go to
Google and you're gonna find a plethorad. You're gonna find a ton of different
recipes and stuff. But if yougo to my blog were momarkeysofficial dot com
and you just type in the search, you're gonna have a search bar on

(19:15):
my page. Just type in afrodisiacand it's gonna take you to my blog
that's specifically about afrodijacs. And likeI said, you're gonna have a Oh
my god, I don't even rememberhow many I did because it was so
long ago. But they are likemultiple recipes that you can try in regards
to playing around with afrodijiaks. Right. But also, one thing I wanted

(19:37):
to share is four drinks. Fourdrinks. I came across four drinks interests
me. It's a lot more,and I think I'm gonna do a blog
about the drinks. But nonetheless,I came across four romantic afrodijiac cocktails.
Just for that I want to sharewith y'all. The first one is called

(20:03):
some Like It Hot. Yes,that's the name of the drink, Some
Like It Hot. And the goodthing about each one of the four cocktails
that I'm going to share is thateach one of them, of course,
has an ingredient that is considered anafrodijack. So this first drink, Some
Like It Hot. The afrodijak thatis in this drink is a jalapino kalopeno

(20:29):
peppers. And in this drink youhave one point five ounce of vodka,
point five ounce of blood orange liqueur, one jalapino, and you would chop
up a jalapeno, but one jalapino, one bar one barspoon of agave,

(20:49):
point five ounce of lime juice, two to three ounces of grapefruit, and
then you're gonna as some garnish. Now you can use another jilipino as garnished.
You can use you know what's theone I like, cilantro, parsley,

(21:11):
whatever you want to use as yourgarnish. But that's basically all that's
in that drink. The negat drinkis called make Me Blush, Make Me
Blush, and the afrodijac in thisdrink is a cherry. So what you
would do is you would get onepoint five ounce of prickly pear liquor,

(21:32):
two ounce of saki that's an Asiandrink, point five ounces of cherry liquor
point five ounce of freshly squeezed lemonjuice, and then you want to have
cherry on top. And then youcan garnish the rim of your drink,

(21:53):
the rim of your glass, orcut whatever you're using with sugar. The
third drink is called mansarita, nownot margarita. Manzarita, and the afrodijack
in this drink is cinnamon. Andwhat you're gonna put in this drink is
one ounce of silver tequila or justone ounce of tequila, one ounce of

(22:18):
organic elderflour liquor, or just getsome elderflour liquor three ounce of apple juice.
That's interesting. I never had toomany drinks with apple jos in it.
One dash of cinnamon, well, however much you like, because if
you love cinnamon, you can putmore. And you want to do three
wedges of lemon, you want toadd that in your drink. The last
one. The fourth drink I wantto share is called blood orange and gender

(22:44):
I don't say a gender lord. What is wrong with my tongue today,
y'all. The drink is called bloodorange and ginger Boston sour. Like you
know how you have an Almeretta sour. This is called a blood orange and
ginger Boston sour. And the afrod in this, which I did not
know, was afrodijak. I knowabout this a lot, and I use

(23:07):
this ingredient a lot because it's veryvery healthy in all the forms that it
comes in. But the afrodijak forthis drink is ginger. And what you're
gonna put in this drink is twoounces of or blood orange liquor two ounce

(23:30):
of bourbon or how much more liquoryou are on course, course, you
know, the more stronger you're goingon ad bourbon. You're gonna have one
ounce of lit fresh lemon juice, point five ounce of ginger liquor one egg
white they put optional, but youcan add one egg white and you can

(23:51):
use slices of blood oranges as yourgarnish. So that's just for romantic for
DJ drinks that I want to share. And I think what I want to
do is actually do a separate blogwhere I talk about more or not just

(24:11):
talk about I just share more asfar as different recipes, because this episode
is going to have an article aboutafrodjs elaborating a lot more on what I
shared today in this episode. ButI'm thinking, I think I'm pretty much
I think I'm want to do anactual blog article where I'm sharing actual recipes

(24:36):
or whatever. Right, So anyway, I ain't gonna keep you guys much
longer. You know what I'm gonnado before we get up out of here.
Yes, yes, yes, I'mgoing to leave with the quote.
I'm always gonna leave with the quote. So here's the quote that I'm gonna
leave you with today. It's hardto walk away from someone you love.
It's even harder to stay with someoneyou love but who doesn't love you. The

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
