Proudly Pa. This is the localShow with a Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of
Fame on the River ninety seven three. Welcome to the first episode of the
River Local Show where we shine thespotlight on all of the talent that is
in Central PA. My name isGlen Hamilton and my co host is my

(00:22):
good friend and president founder of theCentral Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame, Brandon
Valentine. Hey man, it's goingso great. I've been so excited to
do this show with you man.Absolutely Likewise, it took a great partnership
with the CPMO Local Music Shine theSpotlight Sunday evening. Got to love it.

(00:42):
Let's commemorate this. One of thereasons we picked May twenty first to
launch the Local Show on the Riveris this is the fourth anniversary of the
founding of the Central Pennsylvania Music Hallof Fame. That is correct, We
just had our fourth annual Central PennsylvaniaMusic Awards. The birthdate of the Central
Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame as anonprofit organization was designated as May twenty first,

(01:07):
that is today. The reasoning forthat is it's also my firstborn's birthday,
my son Ethan Valentine's all right, all kinds of good vibes here on
May twenty first, no doubt, and tip of the cap to our good
friend Michael Anthony Smith, who hostedOpen Mic Night on the River for years
twenty five years or more. Itwas the longest running local music show on

(01:30):
the radio in Central PA. Locallegend, great service to our community as
well. Happy to carry on thetradition here, and he's happy that we're
doing this too. So let's startthe show. Who do we have up
first? So up first, wehave the winners of Best Male Vocalist of
this past year. They won BestNew Band in years previous. The band

(01:52):
is called Valerian Sun. The songis the Burnout. They've been described as
an alternative hard rock band, kindof have some elements of popping there as
well. Liken to the band Muse, Yeah, yeah, but a little
bit different. The lead singer,James Woolperd, actually placed fifth on The
Voice in the fifth season of TheVoice. Wow, so got some acclaim

(02:13):
there, right. The guitar Playerwas voted a top ten guitarists in the
world and one Guitar Player Magazine's GuitarHero Award. Holy crap and the drummer
as a founding member of From Ashesto New which was famous band from our
area as well. Wow, soa lot of talent in here as well.
And I think they have a fourthmusician from California, So a lot

(02:34):
of talent in this band. Theyrecorded out at Atrium Audio at rock Lyditz.
This song was up fourth Song ofthe Year this year at the Central
Punsylvania Music Awards. It's Valerian Sunwith the burnout. It's the local Show
the River ninety seven three. Iknow always breaking. I feel it wash

(03:07):
it over me while I was stillsee like a Bali sun burst. While
I I was looking for was I? It was I getting me? Who

(03:38):
let m And when the world isspinning of the rails, I just keep

(04:20):

rocket running through stress. That's thefun can't show. It's the local Show

(06:26):
on the River nineteen seventy three. Now it feels like it's been sometimes really

(06:56):
needs a time for you and nightsto face things are never going right for
you each other. Dally never lookedso well, So to live a trust
the empty space and I just wantedto tell you that I miss you.

(07:17):
Who will get through so you etherwe can't find the world together because it's
me Brod. I know she's chummingwill make something nothing because I can't help
but feel that I won't make itthere between the kid everywhere you feel to

and I'm just wanting to tell youthat I miss you. Get to show

(08:22):
me whether we can't fight the worldtogether because it's me. I know Shane's
coming for me something enough because Ican't help but feel that I won't make
it down. I swear it's comingup everyone in my head that i'mn't taking

(08:46):

by myself, the star street andkind of fiction. Hold off to the
words you said that I haven't takingenough because I'm saying it is killing going
on. You can pull me sure, no killing we'll going on. I

(09:11):

Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame. Yougot it, Yeah, Lynnhurst, great
local band. They were nominees forAlbum of the Year this past year.
They actually won Best Punk Bands. As you listen to that song, you
know they have some some pop punkelements in there, but largely a rock

(10:41):
band. You know, there's there'sso many subgenres under rock, right,
I know, you know they kindof fit some of the easy core vibes
too. I hate to break itto Sammy Hagar, there really is more
than one way to rock, nodoubt. You got it? Who were
going into? Now who we're gonnahear? So now we're gonna hear the
best pop artist back to back years. She's actually a DJ and producer.
