ever a song, in my opinion, in this era, in this area
that belongs in a in a horrormovie. It's this one. Oh,
It's got the perfect blend of like, you know, classic upbeat melody with
like brooding undertones, bode bass. You know, there's some static pops,

(07:40):
some screeches, some randomness. It'san outro that screams madness. This right
here is a band out of theState College area. It's called Man and
the song is called Upside Down Roomin twenty twenty one. I'm terrified just
for the intro, right creepy. This is Man Am on the local show

on your breath. Then you think, like, might ride if you get
just a little more rest in it. Upside where the walls still like,

(09:52):

the feel up and upside down wherethe long feeling Yeah from the beginning because

(10:58):

It's the River ninety seven three, and that is the band ma'am with their
song upside Down Room, one ofthe creepiest songs I've ever heard on our
special belated Halloween episode Gotta love itman, creepy man. I don't even

(11:46):
know what to say. I mean, they were nominated for Best Alt Country
Band and that what that has thatvibe, But like I said, all
those things in the background going onthere, it just melts your mind.
Man, Heavy on the alt.I think that one. That's awesome.
Yeah, So that's ma'am. Andnow we're going into Lives Lost on our
special post Halloween edition of the LocalShow on the River ninety seventy three.

of the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall ofFame and he curates all this incredible music
for us. So yeah, andthe process is pretty simple. You can

Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Fame dotcom, Slash Radio. You can submit

(16:08):
your song for consideration there and that'swhere we get I don't know, I'd
say more than ninety five percent ofthe entries to be played on the air.
So curating local music and featuring it, shining the spotlight here on local
artists. What do we have next, Glen, We have youth artist participants
Brutality. These guys rock. They'vegot an original song we're including in our

of their incredible covers for Halloween.Yeah, how about it. They're known
for another holiday cover but for Christmas, the Mister Grinch cover, but this
is a great Halloween cover that theyhave, and this one has on the
cover photo for the song. Ithas an image of Pennywise and Jigsaw,

Anderson, a Central PA Walter ThomasHigh School guidance counselor, remembers Glenn Hamilton.

(17:18):
Our conversation started out normal enough, and he said he wanted to be
a rock star, just like Ausy. I told him that was a little
of realistic, and that's when hereached into his backpack and laid the corpse
of a headless bat on my Dask'sdoing the job he was destined to do.

(17:38):
I could still see its ear stuckin his teeth. Glenn Hamilton.

professional and their instrumentation it's two teenagebrothers actually, Glenn. Believe it or
not. They got to record brandnew riffs over unearthed and unreleased drum tracks
that the late Megadeth drummer Nick Men'shave recorded. Two years before his tragic

(18:21):
death. How crazy is that?Is that on? Here? Is that
this song or that the works manythere working on unreleased at this point.
But that's amazing. I'm crazy,right, that's amazed. Well, this

you gotta love you gotta love thecovers from this area too. I
mean small Town Titans. I've referredto them before as you know, Kings

(28:18):
of cover songs, and that's faithfulto the nineteen sixty two Novelty song by
Bobby Boris Pickett, but they definitelyput their own spin on it. Rocks
Man, Rocks love that rendition. And they're known for the you know the
Grinch tune You're Me and one MisterGrench. It got gotten a million hits
on YouTube and yeah, was sharedby Rolling Stone magazine, Yeah, and
went viral, and you know theysaid, let's stick with the Halloween theme

(28:42):
or the holiday theme rather. Yeah, I can't wait till they put out
an Easter song or a bow onto This Day song or something. It
comes Peter cottontail, I gotta getthat. Well, we'll be featuring the
Grench, you know, in thenext holiday season. But so who do
we have next on our special postHalloween edition? Yeah, so this is
an interesting one, right. Weusually try to end the show with some

(29:03):
Hall of Fame relevance, either someoneon the ballot, someone who has already
been inducted, or somebody who's who'sbeing considered to be inducted with the ballot.
And there's a there's a composer fromthis area, and our our definition
of from this area, right, could be born in the area, from
the area, spent a considerable time, a considerable amount of time in the

(29:25):
area. This gentleman went to MiddletownArea High School. Okay, he was
a synth player in the band nineInch Nails with Trent Resdor right on,
and he has moved on to becomea composer and TV and film. And
this guy does the score for everysingle Saw movie. Okay, oh yeah,
you'll recognize this theme, right absolutely. What's his name? Charlie Klausser

(29:52):
Charlie Klauser, Middletown High School graduate, and he did all the music for
all ten Saw movies, all tenand this one is actually a re mix
of the classics Saw score that theyput in Saw ten or Saw X yeah,
which I saw the movie, bythe way, and if you're fans
of the series, you know RottenTomatoes scores. This is one of the
best Saw movies out of all ofthem. So well done with Charlie Klauserman.

(30:14):
The guy has done big things. And again, ah, an attendee
of Middletown Area High School, howabout it? Nice? Well that's cool,
man. Here, let's listen alittle bit more of that. Okay,
I'm freaked out now, I'm tooscared. I can't. I can't
listen to anymore of that. Butwait to go, Charlie, no doubt.
And those who recognize the theme, you know, have seen the movies,

(30:36):
you know this is always what theyplay at the big revelation of the
twist. Who's the killer killer?Yes? Oh man? All right,
well, congrats Charlie. And we'refinishing out the show with a definite Hall
of Famer. That would be DanHartman, who is in there, you
know of course a solo artist, great songwriter, great musician, and was
part of the Edgar Winner group. That's right. I mean, this one's

(30:57):
kind of a reach as far asyou know, a lot of these songs
we have have some metal vibes, you know, talk about Halloween directly.
This one's an instrumental that Danny wasinstrumental in helping write as well. Yeah,
this is Frankenstein on the Local Show, our post Halloween edition on the
River ninety seven to three. Wow. Ye Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of Famer

(35:58):
