How about it. If you're unfamiliarwith the Central Pennsylvania Music Hall of
Fame, it is a five ohone c three nonprofit that strives to recognize,
support, and grow our local musicscene. And each year we have
an annual Central Pennsylvania Music Awards andHall of Fame Induction ceremony. It doubles
(01:04):
as almost like our local Grammys, where we award Best Rock Band, Best
Jazz Bands, best rap artists, you name it, and then we induct
the best of the best from alltime at our Hall of Fame induction ceremony
there. It's at the Hershey Theaterannually, and we are doing an exclusive
announcement here on the local show ofwho is in the twenty twenty four classes.
(01:26):
Let's talk about some people that arealready in, Like, let's start
with the Sharks. That's right,Poison the Badlis. I mean, it's
just right off the top of myhead. I mean, how many people
have been inducted into the Hall ofFame as of now? Twenty five acts
already in our first four years. We're announcing five additional today for a grand
(01:47):
total of thirty here in our firstfive is awesome. So who is the
first artist for the class of twentytwenty four? Born in nineteen hundred in
Tyrone, Pennsylvania. I'm not thatold. Oh it's not me. Oh
darn okay. A musician, bandleader, radio and TV personality. My
favorite one of my favorite stories herefrom this individual is he attended Penn State
(02:10):
University auditioned for their glee club andwas continually rejected. That is that blows
me away. I did not knowthat about this particular gentleman. So he
just left PSU and started his ownband, darn Right, and from there
he sold millions of records. Herecorded with Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby had
his own TV show in the fortiesand fifties. It's Fred Waring. He
(02:34):
