Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, I'm you happy people.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Neil Smith and old Buck Buddy. Are you hearing Neil?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Neil?

Speaker 4 (00:09):
I miss you, man, I have a question. We respect for.

Speaker 5 (00:13):
Me down by breaking a major story, Chris, congratulations a
single score podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
The media landscape out there is changing, kids, It's changing
so very fast, and I want to tell you there's
there's some good things that are going on. It's going
to take some some time to develop, and there are
some bad things going on because of this change, of
this realignment we are. We are seeing some old traditional

(01:05):
ways that we used to communicate ideas going away. With
the passing of the great Rush Limbaugh in the Snowmageddon year, uh,
that is something, folks, that we have That Rush was
bigger than even he knew, I think, and he knew
a lot. Maybe he did have a sense of this.
I don't know, but Rush Limbaugh was the glue that

(01:30):
was holding a m conservative talk radio together. He just was.
And without him, the revenue generation because of the dedicated
listenership that he had, the revenue generation that surrounded him,
he created an entire orbit of those of us who
were able to pull in ad revenue because people were

(01:54):
seeing that you could still get your products marketed effectively
using using conservative talk radio until we lost Rush. So
that has caused a rethinking of how you monetize this
type of content verbal communication. They call it a conservative
talk radio. They call it spoken word in the industry,

(02:15):
not music radio, but spoken word. So this realignment you're
going to see playing itself out, and I'm not gonna
lie to you. I think it's going to impact the
Chris Salsado radio show. It's going to impact the Salsado
Storm podcast. There may be several evolutions of what it
is that we're doing here in the coming months and years.

(02:38):
But while we're being a little nostalgic about the great
Rush Limbaugh and remembering who he was, you guys saw
last week that Komi was the first domino allegedly to
fall in the Obamagate Russia collusion hoax conspiracy. He was
indicted on two felony accounts, one of them lying to Congress.

(02:58):
So hope that he meets more robust charges, a more
shall we say, organized prosecution, and that he meets justice.
But there was a clip that was circulating as James
Comy was surrendering last week, and yeah, he was allowed
to surrender right. I talked to Harmey Dylan on the

(03:21):
show last week. She said, that's the way it's supposed
to be. What they did to Roger Stone, what they
did to Peter Navarro, what they did to Mark Howck,
that was Gestapo. That was a complete abuse of power.
And of course it's at the hands of leftists, Marxist Democrats.
But l Rushbo had something to say back in the

(03:43):
day about James Comy, and it went something like this.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
How many of you have thought, I mean, if you've
thought about it, how many of you have heard or
thought that James call Me was a lifelong Republican.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
I have.

Speaker 5 (03:59):
I've always thought that James Comey was a lifelong Republican.
I've been told that James Comey is a lifelong Republican.
Turns out not to be true. Are you warning to
James Coby used to be a Communist. In a two
thousand and three interview with New York Magazine, James Comey
said before voting for Jamie Carter Jimmy Carter nineteen eighty,
he'd been a communist. He admitted, I'd moved from communists

(04:22):
to whatever I am now. Now we know that John
Brennan Obama's CIA director was a communist, or at least
had voted for the Communist Party.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
But I had never heard this about Komy.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Now we find out that under Obama, the CIA director
and the FBI director both had histories of not just flirtation,
but serious immersion into communism. And like the KGB always said,
no one ever leaves the KGB, nobody else leaves this

(05:00):
way of thinking.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
No, he's right, he's right. Once a leftist, always a leftist.
In my opinion, you don't give up that worldview. It's
it's almost genetic. You can't. You can't unlearn that evil
unless you're forced to. Unless, but through force you are.
You are either jailed or you are forced to pay

(05:23):
a price going Hey, maybe it doesn't pay to be
a commie, folks. Last week, something extraordinary happened in the
White House as President Trump gathered real journalists, citizen journalists,
conservative journalists who are out there covering the antics of
the left, their lawlessness, their violence, their abuses of us.
One of these, one of these individuals is Katie Daviscourt.

(05:43):
She was the young journalist who had an Antifa thug
put a poll through her eye. Just right, bump not
give her a big old black eye. Right, the Antifa
thug was allowed to go away Scott free. The police
wouldn't arrest the Antifa thug because the police are in
support of Antifa thugs and terrorists in Portland. Some say

(06:08):
it's because of their leadership. There've actually been accounts of
these police officers supporting have infiltrated. These police officers are
leftists who have infiltrated the police department and actually support Antifa.
By the way, while they allowed this Antifa terrorist to
go to go away and get off Scott free, they

(06:30):
arrested Nick Soortor, a journalist and a conservative influencer. They
arrested him and the DA refused to press charges because
the evidence was so flimsy. It was a bogus arrest
and they were trying to just basically hope it goes away.
It's not going away, but anyway, Katie Daviscourt shows up

(06:53):
and is talking with the president. Listen to what she
had to say.

Speaker 6 (06:56):
I'm an investigative journalists from Seattle. I worked for the
Post Millennial alongside and you know and Jack Pasovic. I
have been infiltrating Antifa cells in Seattle. And Portland for
the past decade. I know their inner workings, and Antifa
uses extreme political violence to crush the civil rights of
their political enemies and believes that violence is justified by

(07:18):
any means necessary. But today I want to focus on
what is happening in Portland at the ICE Facility. I've
been covering this for the past four months, and this
is a call out to corporate media who has completely
ignored this story or has falsely reported on it. This
is nothing short other than a sustained attack on the

(07:39):
United States, which is being supported by Democratic elected officials.
The Portland Police Bureau has completely abandoned several blocks outside
the ICE facility, giving away their jurisdiction to a terrorist
group who has spent the past four months harassing, assaulting,
and intimidating anyone they perceive to be against their car.

(08:00):
Not only have federal agent agents been relentlessly assaulted for
more than one hundred consecutive days, black clad anarchists militants
concealing their identities behind black facial coverings have been assaulting
reporters just for trying to cover their crimes. Today, I
am sitting here with a black eye and a concussion

(08:21):
after being violently hit in the face with a metal
poll while reporting outside the ice facility just this past week.
After the attack, I immediately went to three Portland police officers
who refused to detain the suspect. I took the time
to chase down the suspect in the streets hat are
held for thirty five minutes. I was waiting for Portland

(08:44):
police to come, and they never.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Came, and they never will because they've betrayed their community,
They've betrayed their state, they've betrayed their people, and they
have betrayed their country. The Portland Police, I firmly believe,
are traders to the United States of America. They have
dedicated themselves to the subversion of the US Constitution and
the rule of law. And this had better be investigated.

(09:09):
And the way you can get this, the reason why
it's not been investigated is what Katie Daviscourt just said,
is that the mainstream left wing press refuses to cover it.
But you know what else, folks, those conservatives out there
with means, those conservatives who could actually found media companies
to challenge ABCMSCCBS, they're sitting on the sidelines still. And

(09:32):
I don't know that we can afford to have them
there much longer. We'll talk about it next with my
guest Matthew Marsden, star of stage and film, coming up
on the Salsado Storm podcast. And now a word from
our sponsor. Oh jeez, if I hear another Obamacare commercial
telling me how great it is, I think I'm going
to vomit. In reality, folks are paying out the nose
for crappy insurance, meaning those commercials are just as much

(09:53):
BS as Obamacare is. What if you're under sixty five,
ineed quality affordable health coverage American medical plans, specially in
under sixty five health insurance plans that have zero copays
at the doctor and no deductible on all outpatient services,
including surgeries. You pick your doctors and hospitals. There are
private plans and roll any time, and there are thirty

(10:13):
to sixty percent less than Obamacare. If you're paying too
much for your own health insurance, call American medical plans.
They are the answer to the cancer that is Obamacare.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
I will preface this conversation by telling you all, I
sat down and I watched a movie from the nineteen eighties.
I think it was eighty six with Gregory Hines and
Billy Crystal. Last night, my brother and I sat down,
and we were in different cities, but we sat down
and watched it because it was a movie from our childhood.
It was called Running Scared, one of the best cop
movies that has ever been made, and didn't get great ratings,

(13:43):
you know from the Rotten Tomatoes of the time, but
we really enjoyed it. It was a fun movie. It
was a good movie and some good star power. And
sadly some of the actors in it have passed away,
Gregory Hines chief among them. But we sat down last
night we watched you know, kind of nostalgic, and we
were texting back and forth. We couldn't make these movies

(14:04):
today because of the political correct nature of Hollywood and
the left. I'll get into that in mere moments after
we get into some some hot topics with my next guest,
Matthew Marsden, an actor with over twenty years experience in Hollywood.
He's been in blockbuster movies like Blackhawk Down, Transformers, Resident Evil,

(14:25):
and Rambo. Matthew, welcome back.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
Chris pleasures all, my my friend. Look the shutdown, I
can imagine there's a different way of looking at it
depending on what your political persuasion is. But writ large,
who do you think is winning the pr battle in
all of this? The Republicans of the Democrats?

Speaker 3 (14:47):
Oh, I think the Republicans absolutely. I think that this
is what happens when the Democrats just continue to cry wolf.
I mean all they do is whine and complain, Unfortunately,
there are videos. There are videos to highlighting their hypocrisy.
And for the most part, I think that Americans now,
especially the longer that it goes on, they're saying, well,

(15:08):
hang on a second, why is this not affecting my
life in any way, shape or form, which, you know,
I think the tide has changed massively to what it was.
I mean even five years ago, where people were scared
because they were you know that the Democrats would scare
people and say, listen, if this happens, then XYZ will happen,

(15:28):
and you know, the sky will fall. And the people
are just fed up of their lives now and they're
just so willing to give something and someone else a chance.
And that has been I'm so glad Chris that it's
actually been picked up by the Republicans and that they
actually you know, have a spine for once, and they've
let this thing shut down. So now I just hope

(15:49):
that Trump goes through and cuts the fat of this
government because there's a lot of it.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Yeah, we've been hearing promise, Yep, the cuts are coming.
The cuts are coming. Many of us conservatives are saying, yeah,
they'd better come because you're not there will be no
disincentive for the Democrats pulling this stunt again in the future.
But I think, yeah, you're right, the Republicans have a
spine and his name is Donald Trump. It's sad, but
he's really one of the only, the only leader doing this.

(16:16):
As to the Democrats, though, I think Americans are starting
to wake up the fact these cats want no fiscal restraint.
They're they're willing to spend us into oblivion. All four
criminal illegal aliens they allowed to break into the country.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Yeah. I mean we've said for a long time, Conservatives
have said for a long time, listen, we need to
call them on this. But for some reason, the Republicans
in the House and the Senate just don't have any spines,
so they haven't had the balls to actually go out
and say, Okay, well we're going to call you bluff
on this now. I don't know whether it's because it's
the big Uni party or whether or not. You know,

(16:53):
they are just scared and afraid of what might happen.
But now, as you said, Chris, we've got Donald Trump
in the White House and this is a guy who
they tried to kill. And when someone tries to kill you,
it will kind of radicalize you to understand that you've
got to do something really, really drastic, and know that

(17:15):
in addition to all the lawfare that he was suffering,
he understands that, let's just say, if Vance doesn't get
in in the next administration, then he knows what they're
going to do. And we needed somebody like this because
the Republicans have had it too cushy for too long,
and he understands the danger and he understands that they're
going to come after him, so he's leaving no stone

(17:37):
unturned again. I do kind of keep looking at my
watch Like most people, I'm like, all right, why didn't
you have this on day one? You know, why didn't
you go out there immediately and start cutting So, as
you said, Chris, we don't want to give them any
kind of opportunity to utilize this in the future. So
they've got to start cutting things right now.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
I'm agreed.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
They've got they've got to come through with this. The
math seven hundred and fifty thousand non essential government workers
and they get an average salary of ninety seven thousand
dollars a year. That's seventy two seventy three billion a year.
We could be saving by getting rid of non essential government.
And who in the right mind wants to pay for
non essential government? Folks, we're talking to Matthew Marsden, actor

(18:21):
over twenty years in the Hollywood business Big Blockbusters, Blackhawk Down, Transformers,
Resident Evil, Rambo, among other film credits. I wanted to
discuss that the lawlessness that not only has become a
hallmark of left wing cities wherever democrats in charge are
going to have the criminals in charge, but it seems

(18:42):
that the city of Portland, the police are actually doing
the bidding of terrorists of Antifa. In Chicago, the police
there are getting stand down orders not to help and
do their job because if they did their job, it
would be aiding ice and doing theirs. I never thought
the Democrats would actually pull this trigger, but they are

(19:03):
pulling this trigger against Americans, against law enforcement, against the constitution,
and service to terrorists and leftists. It boggles the mind,
don't it.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Well, I mean, I'll be honest with you, Chris, are
you really surprised? I mean really, I mean what they've
been saying these things for years and years and years.
I mean, all you have to do is look at
the fact that the great Charlie Kirk was murdered in
cold blood in front of millions of people, and they
didn't stop for five seconds calling Republicans and Conservatives Nazis

(19:36):
and white supremacists. So I think what you're seeing in
these in these hotbeds, and Trump has rightly identified them
as places that he needs to tackle because it really
is lawless there in these hotbeds. They're going to do
that because their ideologues, and I think that what, look,
I'm a lot more kind of like hardcore about this thing,

(19:56):
these things than most people, because I look at it
is this is commune. That's all it is. It's a
threat to the United States, and we need to route
it wherever we find it. And all they're doing is
just really showing their true colors. Because again, Chris, the
Republicans have never had the guts to go and do this.
They've never said listen, I'm done with you. We are

(20:18):
going to tackle this. And the strange thing is, I mean,
you know, they're gas lighting is absolutely spectacular when all
you have to do. And I did this the other
day to the Pritzker, the government, the governor of Illinois.
I basically said to grop when he said, oh, this
is terrible, there's nothing wrong with Chicago. I went in

(20:39):
and I said, which, everyone should try and do this
right because it's a great it's a great tool. To you, tiuys,
I said, how many people have been murdered, shot or
injured under this guy's reign? And then it's just like thousands, thousands,
It's unbelievable. So these people own their own constituents, they

(21:03):
really do. They don't want them to be safe. And
it's the same as Black Lives Matter. If Black Lives
Matter really cared about black people, they would have gone
down to Chicago and they would have stopped young black
men killing each other. It's all aggressed and it's all
for power. And again, I think that they're being absolutely
exposed and this is the best thing. It's absolutely the

(21:23):
best thing because people are saying, listen, we understand what
you're doing now and we're not accepting it. And I
think that, you know, the Summer of Love and the
mostly peaceful protests really woke people up to say, listen,
I'm not dealing with this anymore. I don't believe you. You're
a liar, and we're behind Trump and that can only
be a good thing, you.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Know, And I think I'm looking at Portland, I'm looking
at Chicago, I'm looking at New York, and I'm seeing
shades of London, seeing shades of what has happened over
in the UK and Europe writ large, where Western civilization
has fallen. You seeing any parallels, oh.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
One hundred per I mean, especially in Dearborn, Michigan. That
is a really major problem. And when I saw that
they had put Arabic writing on the police force's badge,
like that needed to be nipped in the bud. Immediately
I recognized this Chris, twenty years ago, just after I
came to the United States, well like in two thousand

(22:23):
and one, when I first came here and we had
the premiere of black Hawk Down it was just after
nine eleven. I remember seeing all the flags. There were
American flags everywhere, and I loved it. It was the
greatest thing, and it made me realize how it was
you were demonized in the UK, which you seeing now
by the way you are demonized if you fly the flag,

(22:46):
and every single incremental move away from patriotism, then away
from love in the country, and away from respecting and
love in the flag leads to chaos and we have
to stop it. Really. Like That's why I think having
an outside active sometimes coming in and talking to fellow
conservatives like you, it's almost sometimes more empowering, right because

(23:08):
you kind of say, hang on a second, I'm the
frog being boiled here, am I losing my mind with
everything that's going on? And then when you have someone
who comes from another country that comes in and loves
this country just the same, and I go, hey, guys, listen,
yet you're on that track, right, this has to stop. So,
I mean, I am a lot more hardcore than many

(23:29):
other conservatives, not more than you, you know, I think
we're on the same page. But this is absolutely a threat.
It really is a threat to our republic and we
have to stamp it out.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
It is, and you know, it's it's the syndrome that
people realize, Hey, if America falls, there's no other place
to run to man and that this is why Cubans
are such a threat to the Democrats is because Cubans
recognize what the Democrats are because they've they've lived it.
They've seen the rise of communism and how it destroyed
their lives. You're seeing the rise of totalitarianism. If you

(24:02):
were over in Europe, in France, or in Great Britain,
or in other parts of Europe, and you flee to
America for its safe borders, and then you see the
same specter invading here. And you, folks who are who
are immigrants, immigrants and Americans by choice into the United States,
you guys are the ones sounding the alarm because you're

(24:24):
seeing it more clearly than most of our native born
Matthew Marsden is our guest right now, folks. He's an
actor twenty years experience in Hollywood, and you've seen him
in Blackhawk Down, Transformers, Resident Evil Rambo, among other other
film credits. I've got to be I've got to be honest.
I watched this SNL thing over the weekend with Bad Bunny,

(24:46):
who the NFL has has slated to be the halftime
so called entertainment, and where Bad Bunny said that Americans
a better learned to learn to understand Spanish for his
big halftime extravaganza being put on by the National Football
League in the Super Bowl. And I'm looking at him,

(25:08):
what the arrogance of this man? I have no problem
being multilingual, but he's like, oh yeah, we're me and
the NFL are gonna cram my anti Americanism, my hatred
of America down your throat, and you're gonna and you're
gonna have to learn to like it. That was what
it said to me. What did it say to.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
You, No, one hundred percent. And you know when I
was talking to you a little earlier about the flags,
about the demonization of people who flew the flag in
the UK. The other thing that I saw around that
period of time which has led to and it's very important,
as you brought up, Chris, for people to look at
where they are right now in the UK, because we're
absolutely on our way. I mean, the only reason why

(25:49):
it's not as focused here as it is over there
is because it's a lot smaller and it's an island
over there. But one of the most divisive things number
one was not united behind the flag, and number two
is having a different language, and that was it really
doesn't know to say diversities is our strength, which is
obviously a a bunkum, But one of the most important

(26:13):
things is that you have a common language and that
you're all united under a common language. And if it
was up to me, I would love Trump to sign
an executive order to say every every single company in
the country has to just speak English. You know, when
you get like speak you know, O press two to

(26:33):
speak Spanish. All that needs to stop. Because what I
found when I first came here, I'd go into a
store and people would be speaking in Spanish and I'd
be on the outside of this. And even my wife
is Maltese, Chris, Like, even in Malta, when someone who
is not Maltese will walk into a store, they'll start
speaking English, right because they understand that it's rude that

(26:58):
they shouldn't do this. But if if you have your
own language, which as you said, look, be multilingual all
you want, but the common language of English unites us.
I mean, I'm British, right, but I'm still speaking English
the same as. I know. That might sound silly, but
of course it made it a lot easier for me
to integrate into the United States because a lot of

(27:20):
people think that if you have the same language that
you are, you know you're united, which you are. But
you can come from different countries and be united in
the language, if you know what I'm saying. So all
Spanish does is separate people and We've seen it over
and over and over again, and having the audacity to

(27:40):
come in and to say, listen, you guys need to
speak Spanish. It says a lot, basically about the NFL.
It says a lot about the people that are put
in the halftime show on and by the way, who
wants to see bad Bunney man? I remember it was
such a brilliant show. People would watch it all over
the world. Right, you'd watch it for Prince if you
think of their really great performances. Yeah, and who's going

(28:03):
to watch a Spanish you know, a Spanish offist that's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Well, yeah, somebody who doesn't even have a hit in
English and can't unify. And as a matter of fact,
this guy hates Ice, hates President Trump, and of course,
naturally he is everything the NFL stands for. The NFL
hates President Trump, the NFL doesn't look at being unifying
in any way, the NFL hates law enforcement, and so

(28:28):
naturally they want to give one of their own this
one of the biggest platforms in the world. And that
kind of leads me to a discussion you and I
have been talking about on and off on air, off
air about what's going on in entertainment writ large, you
look at at what's going on in Hollywood, and where

(28:48):
the rest of the country is rejecting woke, people are
going people are losing their livelihoods because the American people
are rejecting woke. But Hollywood is saying, through scripts, through productions,
through whatever they're still putting on, that we're going to
continue to give you nothing but woke. And I'll give
you an example. There's The Boys that's on Amazon and

(29:12):
gen V. I saw them, I saw their scripts, I started,
I got a couple of episodes in to gen V.
I go, this is a bunch of left wing clap trap.
This is they've not learned their lesson. All they're trying
to do is to force this down my throat and
I'm not playing. I turned it off. So you know,
I think let's let's start here. I don't think Hollywood

(29:33):
has learned its lesson at all, have they?

Speaker 3 (29:36):
No, not at all. I Mean, what you've got to remember, Chris,
is that with what they are gender is they actually
don't care whether you turn it off or not, because
what they do is they recognize that anything that they
put out there. Let's say you know that the boys
is out there, right, that is forever, that is recorded.
Even if they staying, you know what, we're taking this

(29:57):
off the air. They have episodes, all this leftist agenda
in there, and they'll roll it out in five years time,
in ten years time, in twenty years time. This is
why it's so insidious, because the left plays the long game.
For example, that Shrubby Shortcake thing with where they had
the transgender in it. They know that that's there forever
now and they can play the long game, and we

(30:20):
as conservatives, don't do that. So they've actually they're in
a lot of trouble right now because over the past
twenty years, Like if I'm just tell your audience now,
like if you look back at the movies through the
two thousands, it was towards the end of the two
thousands where the wolk really started taking hold. And I mean,
you know, coinciding with Obama, which, by the way, isn't

(30:42):
it interesting that Obama gets a deal with Netflix?

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Right?

Speaker 3 (30:45):
I keep telling conservatives how important the culture is, Like
you know that the divider in chief goes and gets
one hundred and fifty or however many hundreds of millions
of deal dollars of deal that he has with Netflix.
He goes there and he doesn't go to a play
because he understands the power of the media. And we've
just abandoned the culture. So you know, they they know

(31:09):
right that they needed to like they did with academia,
infiltrate the industry. And for the longest time there were
enough conservatives in there to keep them down. But as
time went by, they started cancling actors like me and
other people that were taken off the field. So all
of a sudden, now from I'd say, like twenty ten

(31:30):
till now, which is you know, you've got fifteen years,
nearly all the people at the top level are dei
or woke, So they don't know how to turn like
they don't know how to make good stuff anymore. Because
they all got the majority, they must take all of them.
But the majority of them got their jobs not through merit.

(31:53):
So what are they going to do now? How can
they turn around? Because that's how they got their job.
That's all they know how to do because they utilize
that to climb the ladder, and then you're in it.
You have a situation where you've got the studios that
hide them for that, and so if you are firing them,
then they're going to get sued because they're going to say, hey, listen,
you're doing this because of XYZ. So they're in a

(32:16):
real pickle. The only way that we can change this
is if we build something ourselves. And whenever I say
this to conservatives, they go, oh, Angel Studios or The
Daily Wine, I'm like, that's two, that is two. And
their budget, like the I think Angel Studios is about
They spent aboute hundred and fifty million dollars a year
when the studio spent over three billion million, and it's huge.

(32:40):
The disparity is massive.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
It is.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
And you know, I'll use the example of Star Trek,
Star Trek and Paramount. They went woke. The series Discovery
nothing but woke. And this is to what Matthews saying, Folks.
They just say, okay, let's let's make a script for
a successful show. We got to have a lesbie, we
got to have a gay guy, we got to have
all this woke stuff. And they go down their checklist

(33:04):
and they forget the little thing called story or compelling
a television or a movie, and they just they just
check all these woke boxes and think that's all it
takes to make a successful film, and it's not or
a successful series. And the Star Trek pivoted away with
this strange New Worlds, away from the woke and just
getting back to storytelling, and it's one of the most

(33:25):
successful series they've got. So it's not like they it's
not like these executives at Paramount or these big studios
don't know what the secret sauce is. It's just as
you said, so many of these entrenched interests, they don't
want to make the change fast enough. And I've only
got about a minute left, but let me just ask you,
what do you think conservatives should be doing that we're
not doing in the culture and entertainment that would get

(33:47):
really get the ball rolling, So there'd be some sort
of individuals who would capitalize on people like me who
just want to watch a good story.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
I think that they need to back conservative artists who
have been in the industry and who know how to
make films, because we're very, very good in the United
States at boycotting. You know, conservatives are really good at
saying listen, no, we're not going to bud light. I mean,
I don't know about you, but I've still got a
whole crate of bud light in my bar that nobody

(34:16):
will touch, and it's been there for two years now.
I'm just waiting until i can go and shoot it
and blow it up on video. But we're very good
at that, but we're not very good at showing a
vision of how to move forward. And we need Americans
to stop saying, you know that this notion of being
a rugged individual without helping and banding together, as they say,

(34:38):
they're no you know, atheists in a foxhoul. Well, there
are no rugged individuals in a fox soul as well.
So we need to start understanding that that is not
the way that it works. And we have to band
together and support those of us that are going out
and making this content, make it a success, and then
we'll draw more investment, and then we'll start moving because
right now, Chris, all we've got to try and do

(34:59):
is move it to the center, Like, move it where
you don't have a you know, a gay couple as
the parents in everything in every television show, the father
is an idiot. You know, in every television show and movie,
the kids no more than the parents. Like we're just
talking about a reset back to the normal to make
great stuff because right now you can get the best

(35:20):
material because the left isn't using it. There are hundreds
and hundreds of scripts out there that we could make
tomorrow that would reset the culture, but we just don't
have any investment in it and.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
No vision for it. And that's that's something that we'll
continue to hammer on here on this program. Matthew marshin, Folks,
twenty years in the entertainment business, movies like Blackhawk Down, Transformers, Rambo,
Resident Evil. Those are his film credits. Matthew, Folks want
to catch up with you, Where can they go?

Speaker 3 (35:49):
You can get me on Matthew D. Marsden on X
and I have a little YouTube channel, but I'm doing
a social experiment on them. I'm just trying to see
how many people we're getting and do exactly what I
was saying, is that back those people that have actually
been in the industry, and you know, I support those
that support you. They can find me on YouTube at
Matthew Dean Marsden. It's free to subscribe, so they can

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
