Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, are you happy people?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Neil Smith and Old Buck Buddy? Are you hearing Neil?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Neil?

Speaker 4 (00:09):
I miss you, Mannes, I have a question.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
We respect for me downs breaking a major story, Chris, congratulations,
listen to a single score podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Because John Cornyn is a moderate squish and because he
has surrendered us our people to the ravages of left
wing extremists and the Democrat Party and everything that they've
dished out, from the violence, to the attacks on our
rights to the destruction of the future of this country.
Because of this, I have grown less and less patient
with do nothing Republicans, with those who enable those who

(01:06):
want to harm us, our people this country. So the
idea of these politicians show up during campaign season and
want to pull the wool over our people's eyes, when
I know what they have done, when I know what
their voting record is and that they're banking on the
ignorance of the people to put them back in office,
it really gets my goat. Let me play for you

(01:27):
something that I outlined on the christ No Alsato Show
on Newsmax, and then I'm going to play for you
my preamble, and then the guests I brought on some
names you likely know Joe Pegs and Kenny Webster to
help me sort through all of it. This is how
it went self. Government requires an indispensable ingredient self.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
You have to know who and what you are voting for.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
It can't be like these clueless left wingers at the
so called no Kings demonstration in.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
Dallas who have no idea who they're voting for.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Did you guys vote in local elections too?

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Oh? Yeah, your city council. Who's who's your like, your
top rep on city council?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Whatever the dec is?

Speaker 6 (02:10):
I both?

Speaker 5 (02:11):
Okay, So you don't really look at anything else other
than the g next sust okay, gotcha?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Gotcha?

Speaker 5 (02:15):
Publican party has been kind of just such a disaster,
just a lying.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
It's just do you think that's the entire party or
do you think that there's some Republicans on that are.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Some Republicans that are decent, but most of them? Who
would you who would you say is decent?

Speaker 7 (02:29):
I don't. I don't really know.

Speaker 8 (02:31):
Okay, I don't really know.

Speaker 5 (02:32):
Who the decent one because they're quiet, they're not saying.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
What do you think of the Dallas mayor?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (02:38):
I don't really Do you know his name?

Speaker 9 (02:41):
You know.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Sadly there are bad actors out there trying to make
sure you are as confused as Democrat voters when you
head to the polls. Beware dishonest super packs. That's my
warning in today's preamble. Let me offer exhibit a ads shilling
for fake repubt looking John Cornyn.

Speaker 6 (03:02):
Senator John Cornyan votes with President Trump over ninety nine
percent of the time. Together, they're getting America back on Trianon,
undoing the damage done by the radical left, deporting illegals,
shutting down the boarder, increasing penalties on illegals, and with
silk police, ending taxpayer funded gender surgeries, and keeping men
out of pearl's locker rooms. John Corny the conservative that

(03:25):
Trump and Texas can count on to win.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
This next dad has a similar and not so subtle message.

Speaker 9 (03:35):
Watch tax cuts, Trump and Corny, Secure borders, Trump and
Corny defending Texas.

Speaker 6 (03:46):
Trump and Corny, we get it.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Texas loves President Trump.

Speaker 9 (03:53):
Senator Cornyn votes with President Trump ninety nine percent.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Of the time.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Now, these ads heavily suggest that President Trump vacks Senator
John Cornyn, but he does not. In the Senate primary
race in Texas, President Trump hasn't endorsed any candidate.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
But seeing these deceptive ads, you know, really kind of
angered me a bit.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
So I took to X and put out a tweet
aimed at Matt MCCOVEYAC, the guy who heads John Cornyn's campaign.
I posted this exchange, by the way, at the top
of my ex page at C Salsato Show at C.
Salsato Show if you want to read through it yourself,
I said, Dear Matt MCCOVEYAC, your current TV ads suggest
that John Cornyn is endorsed by President Trump. Trump has

(04:38):
not endorsed in the Senate primary race in Texas. Either
correct your TV ads or I'll be forced to do
some TV of my own exposing yet more Cornin deceptions.
End quote that earned me a response, believe it or
not from Matt quote. The ads are run by the
super Pack, not the campaign run by Trump's top twenty
twenty four advisor and consultant Chris Losovita.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Try more.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Indeed, one of the ads I just showed you was
from the campaign and the other a so called super pac.
I thanked Matt for his clarification, and remember that Chris
Losoveto was also part of the George P. Bush campaign
to defeat the most conservative and productive attorney general in
the nation, Ken Paxton. Ken Paxton defeated the Lasavita run
George P. Bush campaign by a thirty four point trouncing

(05:25):
in the GOP primary runoff in Texas. But focusing on
the super pac ads only, and if you're a person
who doesn't pay attention to what government is up to,
you think Cornan and Trump were attached to the hip.
After watching that ad, you'd be left with the impression
that Cornan and President Trump were tight. The truth is
the exact opposite, as the facts of history show.

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Strong words from you.

Speaker 10 (05:49):
A Senator John Cordon out of Texas the Republican says
former President Donald Trump can't win the twenty twenty four
general election for president. He also says the GOP needs
to find a candidate who actually can. This is all
on a call with Texas reporters, Cornyan saying I think
President Trump's time is passed him by, and he adds,
I don't think President Trump understands that when you run

(06:10):
in the general election, you've got to appeal to voters
beyond your base.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
So all this got me to thinking on the super
PACs and the role they play in our politics. As
a free speech conservative, I think it's important that these super.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
PACs have their say. I also think it's prudent for
voters to know that some super PACs are good.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
They tell the truth and are not trying to pull
the wool over people's eyes. But it's also true that
some not so super PACs are Charlatan's deceivers and in
some cases, out and out liars, just like the politicians
they are stumping for. The Only way to defeat the
super PACs that are dishonest or stretching the truth is
for we the people to be informed.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
It's our best and only defense.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
It's my hope this preamble lights of fire under this audience,
get to know that those who represents you better yet,
get to know those politicians who are in an elected
office who are not representing you, than organize, inform, and
do all you can to boot them from office. It's
how self government is supposed to work in these once

(07:16):
United States.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Texas is a very important state.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
In the America First Coalition's efforts to restore the rule
of law and our constitutional liberties. Here to expand on
this discussion, to fellow Dexans the host of The Joe
pag Show, Joe Paggs, along with nationally syndicated radio personality,
podcaster and comedian Kenny Webster Jents, my brothers.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Welcome to both of you.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Joe.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
I want to start with a focus on the super packs.

Speaker 2 (07:40):
It's like with anything, they can use their gifts in
this case, lots and lots of money for good or
for ill. It's up to we the people to be
informed enough to weed out the deceivers.

Speaker 8 (07:50):
Yes, yeah, you know, Chris. I want to help you
out because I don't think you understand. They put on
the deep Texas drawl in corning votes with Trump. Every
time the sound was a falcon. That was not a
hawk sound, was it? I think that was. I don't
think there's a bald eagle sound. I think it was
a falcon. So yet, listen, you're absolutely right. I just
want them to tell the truth. I've interviewed Corn thirty

(08:11):
thousand times I Texas at sixteen seventeen different stations here,
and I get the game. But he absolutely was not
for Trump. He absolutely didn't think Trump could win again,
and he absolutely is trying to ride in the coattails
now and I thank you for firing us up. That
was a falcon though, wasn't It wasn't a bulky.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
I have no you know what, some sort of loud bird,
that's all I know. It could have been a pelican
for all I know.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Kenny, You know as it appears in the Senator Cornyn
ads candidates who benefit from deceptive super pac ads. They
don't appear to be in any hurry to correct the record.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
Do they.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
No, they don't. And thanks for having me on, Chris,
bigfan of you, Big fan of Joe too.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
When that ad first.

Speaker 5 (08:49):
Debuted, a lot of people in Texas noticed the video
footage looked very familiar. Cornyn super packed deceptively edited video
of Donald Trump talking. He was talking about Senator Ted
Cruz at a rally. They edited it so it would
sound like he was talking about Corny. And now Matt
mkoyak must have been up late drinking at night. I
don't know what he's doing. That got history of making

(09:12):
bad decisions. We often refer to him as Venmo mkoyak
because apparently now I'm not saying I know this, but
there are credible accusations on the internet that he used
his Venmo account to pay an escort for something called
deck services that's neither here nor there.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Honestly, we don't Yeah, yeah, we don't know that. But
you know, it's just yeah, he's.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
He's basically admitting, Yeah, the AD's misleading. We can't do
anything about it. Oh well, three million dollars a week
too bad.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
Well, you know, Joe, it's been well documented that John
Cornyn and his ILK and the Surrender Caucus have have
been longtime critics of President Trump. We're talking about Romney, Rakowski, McConnell, Cheney, Kinsinger, Ryan, Yes, Cornyan.
Only now when it's police perilous to these guys like
you know, Cornyn heavily suggests they've been in lockstep with

(10:05):
President Trump all along. It's this two faced dynamic that Americans.
It makes Americans despise politicians in general.

Speaker 8 (10:12):
No, well, it's like they think we forgot what they
just said. It's like we forgot that Cornyan was in
Ukraine and Kiev for some reason, walking around with Lindsay
Graham talking about beating Putin not that long. We didn't forget.
We've got the guy in office now who wants to
end the wars. He wants to bring peace. You got
somebody like Cornan, who is I think better than the
other ones that you just mentioned, is really good at

(10:33):
straddling the line. But if people are watching you, or
listening to Kenny or listening to me, they know that
we will call him out what he's wrong, and we
will tell you the truth every time, even if they
speak like John Cornyn loves President Trump and ninety nine
percent of the time is that sut Texas guy?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Who is that?

Speaker 2 (10:52):
I don't know if it could be Canadian Kenny. Look
what that claim that Joe just brought up, you know,
the claim about ninety nine percent of the time.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
It is a well known fact.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
President Trump has never been part of any legislature, has
never cast a vote in a legislature.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
He's cast a vote for you know.

Speaker 2 (11:11):
I'm sure he's voted, but he's never cast a vote
for legislation in his life. What the heck does I
vote with President Trump ninety nine percent of the time,
even mean it means nothing.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
There's this website where you can look at the liberty
scores for lawmakers and Cornin has I think he's somewhere
in the fifties. It's an f it's a very poor score.
He says he votes with Trump. The truth is he
votes with Biden. Now on the floor of the Senate,
his votes say one thing, but when he's on committees,
his votes say something very different. He voted against the
border wall, he voted for amnesty. This guy has a

(11:44):
long record of being a rhino. People, take one thing
away from this little interview. Let it be this. Right now,
in Georgia, Michigan, and North Carolina, we have three swing
states right now. With Senate races happening next year, the
Senate Republicans are willing to spend anywhere from thirty five
million up to seventy million dollars to protect an incumbent

(12:05):
candidate in the primary in his own state. If we
lose Georgia next year, if we lose Michigan, if we
lose North Carolina, blame John, You blame anybody.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Wow, you know what, and that you mind?

Speaker 8 (12:18):
If you don't mind, let me just end up with
a math equation that Yogi Beryl might have thrown out
at you fifty percent of the time. John Corner is
right ninety nine percent of the time.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Okay, But again, Kenny, I think I want to put
an exclamation point on what you just said. There are
some very important races across the spectrum.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
The Senate is on the line, and man alive.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
The people have got a weighed through all of this,
and the best defense, I'm going to go right back
to it. The best defense in weighing through all of
these ads, and you're getting inundated with a lot of
these ads, is to know what your lawmakers have been
up to, know their records.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
It's the best defense, and these guys can help.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Joe Pegs and Kenny Webster, gentlemen, thank you very much,
appreciate the time and the discourse. Up next, one of
the conservative challengers to the left wing senator known as
John Cornyan Wesley Hunt on the Salsado Storm podcast.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
And now a word for lur sponsor.

Speaker 2 (13:10):

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Lots going on out there, folks, as the Democrats are
pushing back in the name of lawlessness, in defense of
being able to break the law in service to their
left wing kook politics. And there are those who you
want to surrender to that, like Mitch McConnell, like John Cornyan.
And there are those who want to rise and stand

(17:08):
against that kind of thing in real and substantive ways,
not just with talk, but with actual with actual action
to benefit the American people and not those who would
harm the American people for left winger's political gain. Let
me talk to one such guy, a warrior who's been
in the trenches for conservatism for a long time. Congressman

(17:30):
Wesley Hunt, representing the thirty eighth Congressional District in the
Great State of Texas. He's a Houston native, proud family
tradition in the United States Armed Forces. He's running to
replace the left wing senator from Texas, John Cornyan. Wesley Hunt, welcome.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
Back, Good morning, Chris. Are you thank you so much
for having me on again, brother, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Pleasure is all mine. As always, It's great to talk
with a fellow Conservative. I don't know if you know
Amber Duke. She works over at the Daily Caller, very
very smart, a lady who has and in the trenches
like you and I have been for a good many years.
And she is calling now for an accelerated firing of
what you and I know is non essential government. Now,

(18:11):
we did the math, Congressman. We have seven hundred and
fifty thousand non essential employees. They make on average ninety
seven thousand dollars a year in salary, and that equates
to roughly seventy three billion dollars of expense for the
American taxpayer every single year for non essential government. Question,

(18:33):
can can your Republican party continue to justify spending seventy
three billion dollars a year on non essential government?

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Chris, There is absolutely no justification for this, and I
want to I want I'll look to listen to know
this one thing. The Democrats on are plan a very
dangerous game with our president, and right now they're in
a position of heads you lose, tails, you lose if
you want to set the government down. That's far now.
Our president is actively finding fraud, waste from abuse, and

(19:04):
those people that are not essential, and they are not
going to be coming back to work. As long as
you want to play this game, you play stupid games,
you win stupid prizes. This is the definition of turning
lemons into lemonade, and I love it. We have got
to have a backbone. At by backbone, we have got
to have a spine. We've got to identify those jobs

(19:25):
that are not necessary and keep them not necessary in
order to save the taxpayer dollars. This is the whole
point of our President Trump got elected. The American people
want to see fraud, waste, and abuse over and done with.
If you don't have to come to work, and you're
working for the government and your job isn't essential, then
why do you have a job working for the government

(19:47):
and the tax that the tax payer is paid for
every day in the first place. I also love the
fact that President su comes out and size an executive
order to make sure that our military get paid. Guess
what our military they our easterncial workers. He can identify
these people, have an executive board to make sure that
that they they continue to get paid, while at the

(20:07):
same time rooting out broad waste and abuse in our government.
I love it. My colleagues cannot case. You know, I'm
not going to cave. And at this point, as long
as the Democrats continue this, it gives us actually more
time to identify those jobs that are deemed not necessary.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Well, you mentioned the United States military, which I know
is near and dear to your heart. The Democrats Schumer
shut down. In this context. President Trump has commanded the
Pentagon to find some funds to make sure I think
it's I think I saw a figure at six billion
dollars to keep our military paid six billion dollars price tech.

(20:48):
They found some research money inside the Pentagon to redivert
it to make sure that the paychecks at least this
next pay period clear. In response, Chuck tumor And and
Hakeem Jeffries have both said they will sue the federal
government to stop that money from going to our troops.
Your reaction, Congressman.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
These people are set. And imagine somebody that's willing to
spend and send two hundred, two hundred and fifty billion
dollars to Ukraine but doesn't want to see our own
tooth get funded to the tune of sixty billion dollars.
That is the definition of insanity. They hate this country.
They hate America. I guess what when to come to

(21:32):
President Trump. They're not going to win because an executive
order is going to supersede that. And we have all
of our ducks in a row and our lines are
in order. But at the end of the day, they
are simply exposing how much they truly hate this country.
And I hope they continue to do it. Listen, brother,
the midterms are coming. We got five new seats here
in Texas. We got to keep the Senate, we got

(21:53):
to keep the House. We have to give President Trump
two more years of these types of victories in order
for us to set us up for very bright future.
But let them continue to expose who they are, what
they stand for. They don't stand for this country. They
don't stand for our constitutional republic. They want to see
it come to an end. And again they are willing

(22:13):
to shift palace of cash all over the world, excuse me,
pallets of your tax ten dollars all over the world.
In the same rep they are willing to fund our
troops in order to score some political points. Well, let's
let the American people see exactly what's going on here.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Yep, am into that. One more question before we get
to the campaign. Congressman Wesley Hunt is our guest right now, folks.
He is running to replace the left wing senator from Texas,
John Cornyn.

Speaker 7 (22:41):
JB.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Pritzker. We call him Cheeseburger Pritzker from Illinois. Cheezburger Pritzker
is threatening our ice agents that if they continue to
enforce federal law, that the Democrats, if they get power back,
will retaliate. Listen to this, the tables will turn someday.

Speaker 11 (23:01):
These people should recognize that maybe they're not going to
get prosecuted today, although we're looking at doing that, but
they may get prosecuted after the Trump administration for the
things that they did because the statute limitations won't have run.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Okay, So this is JB. Prisker basically leveling the threat.
Because you're enforcing the law, and your law enforcement gets
in the way of my left wing politics, I'm going
to come after you the way they did during the
era of Beijing Biden with all their lawfare. What do
you say, Congressman.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
Again, it's sick. We allowed over during the Biden administration.
We allowed over twenty million people to enter this country illegally.
President Trump and Trump administration was given a mandate. Wesley
Hunt was given a mandate. This cannot continue. It is
time to find the people that are here illegally and

(23:53):
send them back to their home of origin. This is
why President Trump won every single swing spate. This is
why he the popular vote, This is why the majority
of the counties in this country shifted right because people
were sick and tired of our country being invaded. And
I don't care what you look like, I don't care
where you're from. If you are a legal American citizen,
well then get on board with the America First agenda.

(24:16):
And these ICE agents are simply doing what the federal
government asked them to do, and that is to keep
our fellow citizens faith. That's the whole point. You know
another thing too, Democrats are pushing back on a president's
up sending the National Guard and in these large cities
that are being overrun with crime. And guess what, I
spend half of my year in DC, and over the

(24:38):
course in the past few weeks, you find out very
quickly that five people die every weekend on average, and
for three weeks straight not a single person died. There
are fifteen Americans that are alive because of the accents
that presidents from Cooks and Democrats are fighting against it,
and Democrat cities. It's people have a bad case of

(25:00):
to right miss syndrome. It's absolute insanity. But President Trump
has a backbone. Guys like me have a backbone, and
we are not going to fold. They got three more
years of this smoke, and I am so glad that
we are willing to stand up for our fellow Americans
to keep us safe.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I love it. Democrats catch Trump derangement syndrome and Americans die.
That's that's a that's a terrible disease, folks. That's that's
that's kind of nute. Look, let's let's you and I
talk about the campaign. When when you announced your run
for Senate against John Cornyn, uh, the the Attorney General
Ken Paxton said, Hey, welcome to the race. Uh glad

(25:38):
to have you here. John Cornyn responded by immediately attacking you.
Did you did your campaign? Note the difference there?

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Of course, we noted the difference. And for the record,
Ken Paxton is doing outstanding and doing outstanding job here
in Texas as the attorney general. He's arguably the best
attorney general in the entire country. And The reason why
Ken applauded and why John is so upset is because
at least we now know that the primary voter is
going to get a choice between two conservative America First patriots.

(26:09):
Me entering this race means that you can choose between
me and Kim Paxton, but you're not going to have
to worry about John Cornyan ever again. And that's why
I've gotten this race to give the people a choice.
I'm giving up a very safe seat here and here
in Houston. It's where I was born and raised. I
love this seat. I loved my city. But I also
believe in term limits and the United States Senate is

(26:33):
not a retirement community. It is time for the next
generation of young America First patriots like me, who was
the first person in the country to endorse President Trump,
who sides with Trump not ninety nine percent of the time,
but one hundred percent of the time. And it's fine
for the next generation that step up. JD. Vansh is
forty one years old, Our secretarial war is forty five

(26:55):
years old. Our Secretary of State is in his early fifties.
The reason why President Trump is frond ding him stuff
around young people is because we're the only ones that
can actually keep up with him, because that guy is
the machine. But this is the time, the time is
now is not a time to be comfortable. Yeah, you
are correct him. Paxton welcomed me in this race because
n god in this race to ensure that John Corner

(27:16):
will not be our next senator. And at least now
we know that that's exactly going to be the case.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Well, let's there are other people out there singing John
Cornyn's praises. Let me let me play somebody who thinks
that John Cornyn is the bee's knees. Here's here's Jasmine Crockett.
Listen to her.

Speaker 12 (27:34):
Now listen, I'm about to sell all of MSNBC a secret.
I actually don't hate.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Senator Cornyn at all.

Speaker 12 (27:41):
And right now what we have is a senator who
actually is a real Republican, who's doing everything that he
can to make it seem like he's a maga Republican
so that he can get through his primary. But Senator Cornyn,
this is not him. This is somebody that's sat on
our Supreme Court in the state of Texas. This is
somebody who typically works in a very bipartisan way, unlike

(28:02):
Senator Cruz, this is somebody who is literally doing everything
that he can to hopefully get some of that magabase.
And so Senator Cornyan knows that the FBI can't get
involved and ain't gonna get involved as it relates to
some little civil situation that was signed off on by
the Speaker of the Texas House, but the MAGA base
won't know that.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
So there's Jasmine Crockett saying that John cornn really needs
to pull the wool over the people of Texas's eyes
once again to get re elected, because really he is,
as defined by Jasmine Crockett, a real Republican, which in
her mind means he puckers up and kisses the collective
rear ends of the nearest Democrat that he can find.

(28:43):
By the way, John Cornyn said of Jasmine Crockett that
she is his favorite dance partner. Your reaction, Congressman.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
This is why John Cornyn is pulling in the twenties
after spending twenty five million dollars over the course of
the past six weeks to try to get any better
graces with the Republican primary, and it is absolutely insulting
to the primary voter. You see, he thinks we're stupid,
but we're not. And that's why his numbers have not moved.

(29:12):
And that's why I'm already polling in the twenty That's
why there's twenty three percent of the primary electorate that's undecided.
And you know why, we have watched a guy that
has been in politics since I was two years old.
The first time John Cornyn was elected in office statewide
was in nineteen ninety two. Brother, I was playing a

(29:34):
little league football, drinking car free Sons and eating orange slices.
We are sick and tired of the Nia con rhino
that has completely hijacked our party for the past two decades.
And Jasmin Crockett, of all people, I am so glad
she said that because that's literally one of his only
endorsements of a current member City Congress is good old

(29:55):
Jasmine Crockett.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
Our primary voter, know, was exactly what's going You cannot
fool us?

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Yeah, yeah, you know what, I've got to say that
John Cornyn is a man who has wandered around this state.
He is every six years, he claims to be a
conservative and he goes up to and his record clearly
shows this. He governs as or rules as a democrat,
and I don't think that he's going to be able
to pull the wool over the people of Texas's eyes

(30:24):
any any longer. That the jig is up. He is
the last of the Bush dynasty, and once he goes,
the Bush dynasty is officially dead in the state of Texas.
And that leads me, Wesley Hunt, to my last question,
to you just boil it down for us. As you stated,
you're very popular in the thirty eighth Congressional district, a

(30:47):
solid seat for you. Why why do the United States Senate?
Why go to the hen Den where very little gets done?
Why why do you want to do this?

Speaker 3 (30:57):
I'm an age sixty four Delta passing pilot. I am
a West Point graduate. I deployed to Bagdad from fifty
five pmbent air missions. In Bagdad, I fear nothing but
the Lord, my God. And at the end of the day,
I'm going to spend my life trying to figure out
how to best serve the people of the greatest country
in the world, the people that I'm willing to die for.
This is not about me being comfortable. This is about

(31:18):
the next generation of leadership. Stepping up and fighting for
Texas values. You have John Corny and a guy that authored,
not post sponsored. He offered gun control legislation with Colin
Alred and was praised for it in the Rose Garden
by Joe Biden. You have John Cornon who never found
a Ukraine spending bill that he didn't like, and Wesley

(31:40):
Hunt has never voted for Ukraine funding and Ukraine spending.
You have a guy like me that was the first
person in the country to endorse President Trump on November fifteenth,
twenty twenty two. John Cornyn endorsed President Trump in late
January after the Iowa Caucasus of twenty twenty four. Don't

(32:00):
kid yourself, this guy is not America first. President Trump
won Texas by fifteen points. And what does that tell you.
It means that this is maga country. They want an
America first patriot. And that's why I am taking this
risk and giving up my seat and giving up the
best years of my life in my early forties to

(32:21):
serve this country at a higher capacity and then get
out of the way and let somebody else do it,
because that's why this constitutional republic was constructed for young
freedom fighters in patriots to step into the freight and
serve their country. Our founding fathers were in their twenties
and thirty when they created this great nation. It's top
for us to get back to that and stop the

(32:42):
geriatric game. And let's have people that are willing to
get in this fight and work for Texans and not
work for the swamp. And that's why I'm getting in
this race, to give the people an option of another
America first freedom fighter like myself. You know.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
And I have one more thing because hearing you talk,
I have one metric coming into the primaries, and the
metric is this, how have you defended me and mine
from violent left wing anti American cook freaks and nuts
that are in the Congress and their voters. That's my
only metric. How have you defended me? In mind? I

(33:19):
know you got babies at home just like I've got
I've got children, yes, and how much does that factor
into your calculus?

Speaker 3 (33:28):
I get up every single day and I leave my
little babies. I have a six, I have a five
and a two year old in my home, and I
spend half my time in DC, and I kissed them
goodbye every single week because I know I have got
to leave this place better than I found it. And
when you have a party that can't tell you the
difference between a man and a woman. We have a

(33:49):
party that are literally fighting Ice agents and they don't
want the National Guard to keep them safe. They want
to see our republic destroyed. You see somebody like me
that has skin in the game, and not because of
this great country, but because I have young children that
can grow up in the future of America. Their daddy
has got to do something to ensure that they have
the America that I had. And if I don't do

(34:11):
this now, and if I don't step into the fray,
then I will lose. We will lose this republic. It's
not you, then, who It's not about me sitting in
the seat for the next ten years and having really
nice dinners up in DC. It's fly I'm back and
forth and living like a fat cat. It's not about that.
It's about getting after it and living after Stone closed

(34:32):
steam Austin Monckers because I'm an eighties baby, and I
grew up and watched the Attitude era. He had a
shirt that said arrive, raise hell and leaves. That is
our job. And then we find another freedom fighter to
step into our place to then continue on the legacy
of keeping this country great and putting America first.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
Congressman Wesley Hine folks thirty eighth Congressional district here in
the great state of Texas. He is running to replace
the left wing senator in Texas, John Cornyn. If folks
want to check out your campaign, sir, where can they go?

Speaker 3 (35:03):
It's Wesleyfortexas dot com. And also Chris as a Latino,
as a black man, I love having conversations as fellow
as fill of minorities who just flat out love this
country and view ourselves as Americans. Your opening gave me
ghost bumps because that's exactly what this country is all about.
It ain't about rate, It's about this country. Thank you,
brother for staying in the fight.

Speaker 2 (35:24):
Thank you, sir, Congressman Wesley Hunt everybody, and that's going
to put a wrap on this Salsado Storm podcast until
we visit again. My friends, Remember this, A society's worth
isn't measured by how much power is stolen by and
out of controlled government. A society's worth, meaning its value,
is measured by how much power is reserved for you
and me, We the people, keep fighting for freedom out there,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
