Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, are you happy people?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Neil Smith and Old Buck Buddy? Are you hearing Neil?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Neil? I miss you, man Um, I have a question.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
We respect for me down by breaking a major story.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Chris, congratulations.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Listen Single Score podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
How many of you have heard about Operation Arctic Frost?
Probably not many of you. The Republican Party basically was
targeted by the Democrats folks in the judiciary, in the
executive branch, and the legislative branch that had been infected
by those aforementioned leftists. So they all broke the law.
They went after these Republicans, investigated them, subpeeded their records
without any probable cause. It was, in essence, folks, a

(01:07):
complete betrayal, a traitorous act in my opinion, and the
entirety of the Republican apparatus was targeted. Why are you
not hearing about it? Why are you not hearing anybody
going to town the Republican Party unified, locked arm in arm,
saying this is unacceptable. We cannot accept this. I think
this is a mechanism, folks, of what we saw on

(01:30):
twenty twenty five's election. I don't want to make a
big deal out of this, but Democrats won in Democrat states.
That's what the non big deal part is. However, Republicans
couldn't beat an avowed Marxist in Zorhan Mondani. Republicans couldn't
beat a couple of chicks who were getting funded by
communist China. The Republicans couldn't beat a guy who was

(01:54):
running for attorney general in Virginia who said he wants
to see his political opponents dead and the children of
his political opponents dead. The Republicans couldn't beat that without
President Trump on the ballot. So I think what we're
noticing here is that the Democrat Socialist Party is committed
to the destruction of the United States, and it doesn't

(02:17):
look like the traditional Republicans are at all interested in
defending who and what we are in this country. Prime example,
George W. Bush. Here he is on left wing media.
He won't appear with conservatives. He's because he's not one.
Here's George W. Bush talking with ABC fake News about
the press. I think he's being asked here about President

(02:40):
Trump's Pentagon, trying to basically say, look, there's going to
be some protocols you people in the press are going
to have to adhere to you can't be wandering around
in areas that could compromise national security. You're going to
have to start, you know, sticking to some of the
rules here. And it's being as a clamp down on

(03:02):
press freedom, which it's not. So here's George W. Bush's take.
The man responsible for gifting this country Barack Hussein Obama.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Listen, I consider the media to be indispensable to democracy.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
He considers the media to be indispensable to democracy. This
guy was a sitting president and seems to be fomenting
the falsehood that this country is a democracy. Anybody who
knows what the United States of America is understands that
we are a constitutional representative republic and not a democracy.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
That we need an independent media to hold people like
me to account. I mean, power can be very addictive,
and it can be corrosive, and it's important for the
media to call to account people who abuse their power,
whether it be here or elsewhere. One of the things
I spent a lot of time doing was trying to
convince a person like Vladimir Putin, for example, to accept

(04:05):
the notion of an independent press right. And it's kind
of hard to tell others to have an independent free
press when we're not willing to have one ourselves.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Wait a minute, Wait a minute, who says we're not
willing to have won ourselves. I don't hear anybody advocating
that for state run media. It's what the left wing
press defaults to, folks. They default the state run media
so long as the state's being run by leftist cooks, freaks,
anti American nut jobs. By the way, this is on

(04:37):
NBC fake news. I think I misstated claiming it was
ABC fake news. Well they're all the same, they're all
left wingers and anyway, so is it any wonder the
man who allowed the press to define him, allowed these
leftists in media to define and they depicted him as
a monkey. They called him stupid, they called him a Nazi.

(05:00):
They did everything to this guy, savage, this guy. And
of course here he is buying into this narrative that
somehow the press is being restricted, that in and of
itself is fake news. But George W. Bush doesn't like
President Trump because President Trump doesn't believe in giving into
Democrats the way George W. Bush did. President Trump believes

(05:21):
in America first, where George W. Bush kind of believed
in Mexico first, and Russia first, and every other nation
on the planet first, and of course open borders, massive, uncontrolled,
i legal immigration and the like. More to come on
the current state of affairs inside the Republican Party in
American politics with our buddy Ed Henry on the Salsado

(05:42):
Storm podcast. And now a word from my sponsor. Oh jeez,
if I hear another Obamacare commercial telling me how great
it is, I think I'm going to vomit. In reality,
folks are paying out the nose for crappy insurance, meaning
those commercials are just as much bs as Obamacare is.
What if you're under sixty five ineed quality affordable health coverage.
American meta Plan specializes in under sixty five health insurance

(06:02):

deductible on all outpatient services, including surgeries. You pick your

and there are thirty to sixty percent less than Obamacare.
If you're paying too much for your own health insurance,
call American Medical Plans. They are the answer to the
cancer that is Obamacare. Chris Salsato, Hello, my.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Pal, Ed Henry, host of the briefing on Newsmax two,
Happy Friday, My.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Friend, Happy Friday.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
I was good to talk to you, Arctic Frost. Let's
talk about the Republican Party and start here because I've
been getting a lot of feedback on online. As a
matter of fact, Sentator Kennedy, reflecting on this, the Republican
Party has been in charge for eleven months now and
the only thing they have to show for their time
in office is a big, beautiful bill that overspent even

(09:51):
more than Democrats did, and their inability to push back
on the Democrats. That the GOP's timidity has shown with
this Arctic frost revelation that the entirety of the Republican
apparatus was targeted by corrupt influences in the legislative, executive,
and judicial branches. A complete betrayal of the US government

(10:13):
against the Republican Party, and it's been greeted with a
big yawn by Republicans.

Speaker 5 (10:19):
Your thoughts, well, I think people do need to step up.
I mean I would push back and say that James
Commey has been indicted, and James has been indicted. I
think some of the lawfare there's been a pushback from
the Republicans, and the Trump DOJ is doing something about that.
But yeah, this is worse than Watergate in my estimation.

(10:40):
I told you last week on the program that I
was one and part of me one of the over
four hundred Yes Americans deemed to be close in some
way to President Trump, that they they being the FBI
and the Biden DOJ targeted with with this Operation Arctic Frost.
They went through my records. I'm trying to get a
handle on it. I interviewed Senator Grashley this week, by

(11:02):
the way, and he said he'll meet with me in
private so I could figure out. I know there was
a subpoena of Apple. They might have gone through my
text and my calls, as well as financial information. But
I think bigger than me would be. You know, they
went through Turning Point USA's records and the late Charlie Kirk.
What was going on there because he obviously had a

(11:23):
lot of influence. And what about these nine Republican senators
whose phones were snooped on? Yeah? Because why because they
were trying to say they did something wrong in terms
of election challenges going back to twenty twenty and twenty
twenty one, and they wanted to try to hit those
senators with criminal charges and get them to flip on

(11:43):
Donald Trump. Well this was about so you're right, people
need to get tough.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, Ed, it was not just eight senators. It was
four hundred and thirty operatives, senators, politicians, individuals who were
targeted by Democrats with no probable cause. In a weaponized
government operation, a complete betrayal of the US Constitution and
our mutual compact. And again you articulated it beautifully. I've

(12:11):
been talking about it, You've been talking about it, the
conservative movement's been talking about it, but with such an
with such a Watergate style, and you said it, it's
a Watergate style. Actually it's about a thousand times worse
than Watergate because you're breaking into the campaign headquarters of

(12:32):
the Democrat Party. Oh my gosh, the world melted down
over that. Here you have government weaponized illegally against one
political party with no probable cause at all, and it
is the magnitude of response should be a unified Republican party.
It's all they should be talking about, other than and

(12:54):
the shutdown. But there's nothing. And you pointed out, you
pointed out the the executive branch and the dj which
I think is operating in super slow mode. To be
honest with you, here we are eleven months in and
we haven't even gotten Brennan indicted yet. There's talk that
he may be. But James Comy, he's the only one, right,

(13:15):
James Comy, is it James, Well, yes, chist James. But
again she wasn't part of that conspiracy, but Comy was,
Brennan was, Obama was the judge, Boseburg was. And I'll
point this out. The individuals who are responsible for reigning
in a rogue judiciary according to our constitution is the

(13:38):
United States Congress, and they are doing nothing nothing. And
I asked this of two Republicans so far, and I'm
gonna pretend you're a Republican politician, okay, and tell me
how you would answer if you were them. Right now,
the Republican Party has proven that it cannot and will
not defend us from socialist Marx systemic How are we

(14:01):
supposed to get excited over that as voters? And then
how are we supposed to get excited as voters if
you won't even defend yourselves.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
Yeah, well, I think i'd say that you've got to
fight fire with fire, and that's what I did in
my monologue last night, saying that President Trump is the
one and you've said this many times, He's the fighter.
And I think that a lot of people stayed home
on Tuesday because of what you're articulating, if they don't
necessarily feel like the folks on the ballot, because again,
President Trump was obviously not on the ballot Tuesday. They

(14:33):
don't feel like the other Republicans are fighting for them.
When Donald Trump's on the ballot, people turn out and drove.
And so the Republican Party is going to have to
figure They've got one year to figure it out, because
if you lose the midterms, Yeah, there's going to be
an investigations in the other direction. Forget about trying to
get Brendan in prison. You're going to have everybody around
Donald Trump again in a dragnet by House Democrats and

(14:57):
maybe Senate Democrats that they can take the Senate with
here everything else and impeachments. So the cock is picking
and this needs to be figured out. You've got twelve months.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeah, and I think that this is the danger that
the Republican Party is focused on. Let's play by the rules.
Let's uh, let's get back to the way we used
to be. Our focus is getting along with Democrats rather
than defending their their constituents, rather than punishing Democrats for
their egregious overreach, which is and again, this guarantees the

(15:31):
Democrats will continue their their anti American ways. And Henry
is our guest right now, folks, host of the briefing
on Newsmax two. There's this Ice enforcement that took place
up in Chicago, and lo and behold the Democrats and
I'll reach you the headline from NBC fake news up
there in Chicago, and this was the headline they put out,

(15:51):
teacher pulled out of Chicago daycare by armed ice agents.
Alderman says, that's not what happened. That's not what happened.
DHS chased the illegal alien into the daycare center, who was,
by the way, wanted for trafficking bringing her sixteen and
seventeen year old kids illegally into the United States, so

(16:13):
she was going to be deported and she ran in there.
And the Democrats, of course, all over social media are
lying about this. But again even to President Trump, as
in front of the camera as he is. Did you
see the massive pushback on this from DHS from the
We couldn't get anybody from the Trump White House to

(16:34):
come on and talk about this incident because they don't
seem interested in defending themselves.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
What say you, Yeah, yeah, I think they've got to
step it up big time. Look, I think that the
counter argument to some of what you're saying is a
lot of other things have been accomplished, Chris. I mean
the president has deported thousands and thousands of criminals in
those eleven months. He also secured the southern border in

(17:00):
far less than those eleven months, as you say, so
I get the frustration, but I think we also have
to acknowledge these accomplished a lot.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Oh, this is not a reflection on Trump whatsoever. That
everybody concedes the executive branch is doing the fabulous the
America First crowd. But to your point, to what you
said about the midterm elections, and this is a point
that we made too, is that the Republican Party inspires
nobody to turn out because.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
They're the big problem. I ask of you an idea
of something that you could do that that would change
the dynamics really fast, which is the snap benefits. I
think you pointed out on your show we were talking
last week or the week before that. If you look
at that chart of what happened under Biden, Harris, well,
the staff benefits, the food stamp benefits almost doubled, right
then they go from like forty billion to seventy eighty

(17:49):
billion dollars in four years.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
No, actually it was.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
Actually it was from sixty billion to one hundred and
forty billion, more than doubled.

Speaker 5 (17:56):
But it's even worse than I said. So here's what
you do. You say, we want to get the Snap
benefits going again. Once you get the government open, everybody
show up at your SNAP office and Tom Holman and
some other federal officials, you know, the the executive branch
people that you're saying, Chris are doing a great job.
We won't stand any of the congressional Republicans. They'll be
at every stamp office in every state, all fifty states,

(18:20):
and you got to just do one thing. You got
to bring us a photo ID, and we'll restart your
Snap benefits. How many people do you think will self
support at that point? How many people will show up
and not have an ID? How many people will show
up with an ID and we say, hey, just give
us ninety seconds. You just got to run through the
computer and we find out a criminal background, and then

(18:41):
we can find out how many American citizens are actually poor,
actually can't work because of a disability. Some Because obviously,
I know you don't want anyone in this country to starve,
and I don't I know your audience doesn't we're kind
hearted people, but we we are broke. We are thirty
seven trillion dollars so in debt, and so we can't

(19:02):
continue to have these debates that are dishonest in this country.
You are starving Americans right now. When got a big
percentage of that one hundred and twenty one hundred and
forty billion dollars in staff pedefits has to be going
to illegal illegal and every day you see examples of
this way people have gotten caught. So show up with

(19:23):
a photo ID and will make sure your family is fed.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
That's not about it.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
You can't do that.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
You are out.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
Not a bad idea.

Speaker 5 (19:31):
How much money do you think?

Speaker 2 (19:32):
We say, oh, not a bad idea at all. I
like that, And that actually leads me into what I
was discussing with the audience about this. This federal judge,
District Judge John McConnell has ordered President Trump to fully
fund SNAP find the funds for SNAP that the judge
has ordered the executive branch to reallocate funds to fund

(19:58):
welfare for illegal aliens and for American citizens. There are
all kinds of things wrong with this order. First off,
let's see Judge McConnell up in Rhode Island and force
it go ahead. And that's number one. Number two, he
is commanding the executive branch to produce funds, to reallocate funds,

(20:19):
which is illegal to snap. That's illegal. If Congress allocates
funds for a certain purpose, it is illegal for the
executive to repurpose those funds. And this judge has just
ordered Trump to violate the law. How do you see it?

Speaker 5 (20:37):
How I see it is I want to go back
to Operation Arctic Cross. What's the thread that ties together
what you just said and where you started this conversation?
To me, it's judicial tyranny by the last yep, Right,
Judge Boseberg signed these secret core orders to go through
my personal records and the record of a four hundred
other Americans, including the eight or nine Republican senators and

(20:57):
their phones. Right. They did that in seek because of
a liberal praised judge named James Bosberg, who now they're
trying to impeach them. Let's see if they actually follow
through on that as well, because Congressional Republicans talk about
these tough letters and everything else and don't actually impeach
these guys, but then bring it up to the judge
who I don't even know in Rhode Island, of course,

(21:19):
deep blue liberal Rhode Island. And that is judicial tyranny,
my friend.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
It is.

Speaker 5 (21:24):
This is a left doing judge telling the president, as
you said, to break the law. And it gets back
to my previous point as well, which is that, Okay, Judge,
I'm ready to fund SNAP for people who legitimately qualify
for it. But the problem is the liberal Democrats in

(21:45):
Congress and aided and abetted by rhinal Republicans that you've
called out. Biden didn't do this by himself to double
the amount of SNAP benefits in four years. Congress is
funding all this craft. Indeed, why is no one standing
up and saying, of course we want to feed people.
We want to feed American citizens who are not able body.

(22:06):
I mean, how many videos are you seeing on X
of people's say I didn't get my Snap be of benefits.
And it's a guy who's like thirty five years old.
He appears to be one hundred and sixty pounds, in
great shape, and I want to know why he won't
go to go get a job, whether he's white, black, Latino, whatever.
If you're if you're in shape and you don't have
a disability. You have to work in this country, period,

(22:26):
end of story. And then how many overweight folks who
are getting all the potato chips and soda and everything
on staff are like or literally? I mean, have you
seen this video of this one woman in particular, Oh
yees account, Oh yes, I'm starving and he's about three
hundred and fifty pounds. I don't think she's starting.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
No, No, And I think there should be a trend
on x hashtag get a job hash that we should
all make.

Speaker 5 (22:47):
A trend and that's not racist or anything. That's that's like,
that's the American way, right, and we've lost that. You
mentioned My biggest frustration is you lay out all these things. Yeah,
somehow we've lost that work ethic. Sure, and it's been
talked about for a long time by Russia in law
and you and so many others have called it out
in President Trump has given voice to it, and I
think that's part of his plan. So I was like, hey,
you know, if you're illegal, get out. If you're a criminal,

(23:09):
you get out even faster. And that's what Holman's doing,
Like we talked about before. But if you are here
and you're going to stay and you're legal. You got
to get a job if we're able bodied and if
'or not. Let's have this conversation about snap benefits and
helping people. But again, when you're thirty seven trillion dollars
a day, we don't have it's not even that we
don't have a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
We don't have any money, any money exactly, Folks, As
you just heard NN Henry of the briefing on Newsmax
to articulate the quote crap we are spending money on.
It doesn't get crappier than Obamacare. Here's Democrat Senator Peter Welsh. Folks,
listen to this. Yes, I owe you an answer, and
why it is I'm standing here today asking to extend

(23:52):
something that was temporary. And here here's the reason we
did fail.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
To bring down the cost of health care.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
So he's talking about these China virus subsidies to Obamacare,
which the Democrats used the China virus as an excuse
to throw billions of dollars more at Obamacare to hide
the costs because Obamacare was costing Americans. We weren't saving
fifteen hundred dollars a year for an average family of four.

(24:23):
We have never been paying more out of our pocket
because of the Democrats socialized medicine. So they hid everything
using the chinavirus money. And now they're not going to
be able to hide it anymore. And they're terrified that
Americans aren't as stupid as they hope we are and
don't connect the dots to our in our lousy economic

(24:44):
situation and tie it back to their Obamacare. What say you?

Speaker 5 (24:50):
I say, you were absolutely right, and you and the
late Russia Limbaugh were out there in the Obama years
saying this will never work. You can't just give millions
of people free health insurance and lie to us and say,
you know, how are we going to pay for that? Well,
the cost of healthcare is going to come down. We're

(25:11):
gonna have all this money coming into the government that's
going to subsidize covering millions of people who don't have insurance.
You said again and again, right, it's not going to
add up. This is how doctor Ben Carson first team
to prominence. Right. I talked to him about this couple.
This is how he got on Donald Trump's radar when
he was just a renowned brain surgeon but not involved

(25:31):
in in politics is that doctor Ben Carson as a
prominent black conservative and a wonderful, wonderful again world renowned
brain surgeon, and you actually knew about healthcare more than
Barack Obama or us that this is not going to work.
And that's how doctor Carson, if people don't know it,
came to promise and he was blowing the whistle. You

(25:51):
were blowing the whistle. And now liberal Welch from where
Vermont Vermond, he blew Vermont is saying that you know what.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
We failed?

Speaker 1 (25:59):
He didn't.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
We failed, right, and you want Donald Trump and the
American taxpayer to bail you out for your failure.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
They no, thank you.

Speaker 5 (26:08):
Obama's failure, no thank you.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
And you know what last night, you know, doctor Contessa,
we had him on David Harris Junior was impacted by
the flights and so we couldn't make his show, So
I filled in for him last night on Newsmax too,
and I asked Contesceessa, I said, you know, how do
we solve this? He goes, Look, we have got to
we've got to understand what insurance is and what we're

(26:32):
actually trying to accomplish. What we ought to be doing
is having Congress incentivized health savings accounts, so we can
pay for our diagnostic testing, for our checkups and all
this kind of stuff and get a tax write off
for it, and then have a catastrophic loss policy which
should be very very cheap for every American. But but
of course Obamacare destroyed the the catastrophic loss market, and

(26:56):
that was my intent. They destroyed that. We should have
that in case should get the catastrophic cancer diagnosis or
you get hit by a bus or something like that.
He goes, that's where we need to go if we
have a fully functioning, affordable health care system for everybody
in the United States. And I know the likelihood of
that is is probably very very slim, but I will

(27:19):
say that's where we need to go. What's say you
at Henry?

Speaker 5 (27:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:23):
What?

Speaker 5 (27:23):
I you know what? I think Chris Osato was right
again because when you were calling out the Congressional Republicans
for a lack of action, where's the Congressional Republican healthcare? Yeah? Yeah,
I mean you just laid one out from a doctor.
I'd like to see doctor Frank Carson getting room at
the House Republicans and figure this out.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
Do you know who do you know who's stopping that?

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Do you know?

Speaker 2 (27:44):
Do you actually? I have it, I have it from
members of Congress that Mitch McConnell, Mitch McConnell and the
so called leadership of the Republican Party forbade the Republicans
to get around and and and sign onto one free
market plan. They forbad it.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
Why, I mean that that's outrageous. McConnell's on the decline,
not the leader anymore, not even running pre election. So
why isn't someone.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Well this was about six seven years ago, seven.

Speaker 5 (28:15):
Years okay, so, but but then the same lot in
the Republican Party exists, because I mean, you can't just
preach the free market and not actually step up with
a free market plan. I'm not saying it's a Republican fault.
They voted against largely Obamacaris. We were laying out a
moment ago.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Not one, not one Republican voted for it.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
Yeah, right, although right, but I guess I'm referring to
there were quote unquote Republicans like John McCain who saved
Obamacare voted to keep it unfortunately, and Chief Justice wrong
John Roberts, so led to be a conservative, came up
with this weird tax maneuver to save it. But that's
for history moving forward. I'm not saying it's the Republican's

(28:54):
responsibility to fix Obama's failures, but I think you know,
it does get to the point you were making on
the show, which is that what price is this power?

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Now?

Speaker 5 (29:05):
If the Republican's going to have the House, the Senate,
and the White House, the president's doing an awful lot
as we laid out, where's the similar action from the
House and Senate Republican to at least get make a dent.
I'm not saying they have to fix this whole monstrosity.
You know, this is Obama's failure, as we can say
it again and again, but hey, you're in power now,

(29:25):
so what do you want to do moving forward? Because
we're all stuck with this bill right now? And then
you know what's going to happen is they're going to
put all the media is complicit. You see these studies,
seventy three percent of the coverage of the government shutdown
has been negative for President Trump and positive for the Democrats.
So that's why Republicans can can feel pressure on the shutdown,
even though it was caused by Chuck Schumer as we know.

(29:48):
And secondly, they're going to put all these sad people
on TV saying I'm losing my healthcare because of Donald Trump.
Well we all know it's not Trump. Peter Wels, the Democrat,
just lay it out.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
He's in.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
The Democrats failed to cut the costs.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
And to you and to your Republicans out there, you
do nothing, Republicans. You can't fix something with nothing, so abandoned,
Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell way of not putting out a
free market alternative. Give us something to rally around, and
I think the American people will rally around it, and
it's going to take President Trump pushing it. What do
you got coming up on the briefing tonight.

Speaker 5 (30:22):
Goodnight, We're going to have a realtor from Florida telling
us the real story. She was on the pot NonStop
after Mamdani's there's a gold rush to places like Florida
where I am, in Texas where you are, Oh yeah,
they're talking about moving the stock exchange to Dallas for or.
I think we're going to make a run for it
in Palm Beach and Miami as well. But the bottom
line is, there is people are voting with their feet now.

(30:43):
So this is why I think, Yo, there's sort of
a pyrrhic victory for the Democrats. They now have to
live with Mamdanni and his reckless policies. If the Republicans
can write the shift, they can win these midterms. Because
people are fleeing these blue.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
States, escape from New York. And then a Stefanic announces
she's running for governor of the New York State. Imagine,
imagine that the lesser votes she might the Democrats because
a lot of Democrats are fleeing New York as well.
Imagine if if the Republicans take the governorship and they
can trace it back to Mondani. Oh wouldn't that be great? Yeah,

(31:18):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
