Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, I'm you happy people, Neil Smith and old Buck Buddy.
Are you hearing Neil?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Neil?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
I miss you, Man Junies, I have a question.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
We respect for me.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Down by breaking a major story.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Chris, congratulations.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Listen to a single score podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
While some members of media, even conservative media, have been
focused on other things, your liberty loving Latino here has
been focused like a laser on Obamacare because, and I
will say this to as many people as who will listen,
Obamacare was constructed to Obamacare was intended to fail. The
whole idea was to dedicate trillions of dollars to it,

(01:06):
front load it, have it subsidize all of these insurance
companies so they could get all their money, pay off
all their investors, or do whatever they need to do,
make themselves filthy rich, and then watch it all go
to pot because it was going to crash and burn,
as Obamacare is doing right now. And here are Americans

(01:27):
being told all your premiums are going to skyrocket. They're
going to go straight through the roof, even though even
with Obamacare in place, they have been going through the roof.
Our policies have gotten crappier, and we've never been spending
more money out of pocket than we have under Obamacare.
So Obamacare, folks, was to make you act like some

(01:50):
sort of monkey, to sit there and go, oh my gosh,
my premiums. I'm addicted to all of this taxpayer funded spending.
I demand, I demand government takeover healthcare. Now there's a
little bit of a wrinkle here because the Democrats have
decided they will shut down the government. And as the
Democrats have decided they will shut down the government in
an effort to win these left wing races in left

(02:13):
wing states that they did win in twenty twenty five.
This twenty twenty five election, the Democrats demonstrated that yes,
they can feed forty two million people on food stamps
and welfare, illegal aliens and American citizens alike. But they
also demonstrated that they could starve those people when the
Democrats shut down the government. And a lot of people

(02:37):
who have two brain cells to rub together are starting
to put the puzzle pieces in place. They're starting to
draw the conclusions they should, which is this that wait
a minute, government is already showing when we give them power,
like in this case, over our food, what they will
do with it. Are we going to be stupid enough
as an American people to give them power over our

(03:00):
medical care. Folks. Right now, the Democrats are running on
this idea that healthcare is failing. Hell, yes, it's failing.
They failed it. They're the ones who broke it. And
some things to remember about Obamacare. There were thirty million
people uninsured before Obamacare. There are thirty million uninsured after Obamacare.

(03:20):
It was the largest tax increase in US history. As
I stated, over the life of this ten year piece
of shit, and that's what it is. It's a piece
of shit law. We called it a crap sandwich. Look
it up on YouTube when I was over at the Blaze.
And so we spent trillion in a WII. The Democrats

(03:40):
forced taxpayers to spend trillions of dollars to pad the
pockets of the trader's insurance companies and as stated, lousy insurance,
and they pocketed all the money. And I learned this
stat just the other day that the number of doctors
in private practice before Obamacare. Sixty five percent of doctors

(04:01):
were in private practice before Obamacare. Do you know where
it's at right now? Twenty five percent? What's happening? Well,
the only people who can make it work, meaning financially speaking,
with Obamacare ruining one sixth of the US economy, is
these massive conglomerates that are gobbling up private practices, gobbling

(04:23):
up doctors, and it's going to be healthcare by numbers.
It's going to be healthcare for the masses nowhing it's personalized,
it's all going to be cookie cutter, and a whole
bunch of people are going to die, and a whole
bunch of people are going to be actuated out of
surviving because you aren't running healthcare anymore. The government is.

(04:44):
Because this country is stupid enough to elect Barack who's
Saint Obama twice, because this country still elects Democrats. We
have basically painted ourselves into a corner and it looks
like we're going to have massive, massive premium increases as
reality sets back in. And I want to let you
guys know, this was all forecast. This was all planned

(05:09):
to basically play on human behavior. Remember what happened when
the colleges, when tuitioned for college started getting backstopped by
the federal government. What happened to the cost of tuition.
It's skyrocketed right as these private educational institutions ballied up
for federal money for tax payer money. The same dynamic

(05:29):
was at play with Obamacare and medicine. President Trump over
the weekend came out with this, and this is not
going to happen, folks, because it would give too much
power to you, too much power to your doctor, and
they can't control you if they do what President Trump
is suggesting. Quote, I am recommending to Center Republicans that

(05:51):
the hundreds of billions of dollars currently being sent to
money sucking insurance companies in order to save the bad
health care provided by Obamacare be sent directly to the
people so that they can purchase their own, much better
health care and have money left over. In other words,
take from the big bad insurance companies, give it to
the people, and terminate per dollars spent the worst healthcare

(06:13):
anywhere in the world. Obamacare unrelated, we must still terminate
the filibuster. So the President, along with me and Rand Paul,
are the ones continuing to focus on what the Democrats
have done. And I'm hoping many of you will continue
to concentrate on this and reject a Democrat party that

(06:33):
has shown it will starve forty two million people. Do
we want to give them the power over our healthcare.
More on this coming up next on the Salseado Storm Podcast.
And now a word for my sponsor, My friends, did
Bidenomics in the left wing economy really rock your world?
Let American Medical Plans relieve one burden health insurance. American
Medical Plan specializes in under sixty five health insurance plans

(06:56):
that have zero copays and no deductibles. You choose your doctor,
you choose your hospitals. These plans have nothing to do
with your income and are thirty to sixty percent less
than Obamacare. If Obamacare has your paying out the nose,
call American Medical Plans. Don't let these Marxists destroy one
sixth to the US economy and your access to healthcare

(07:16):
without a fight. You deserve better. You deserve American Medical
Plans the answer to the cancer that is Obamacare.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
The Democrats are going to be running on healthcare. They're
out there actually saying, folks that America's healthcare system is broken,
and only President Trump and Rand Paul are pointing out, Hello,
we're under Obamacare. Yes, America's healthcare system is failing because
of Democrats. This is the reason why we're here. Not

(10:45):
one Republican voted for Obamacare. By the way, folks, the
Republicans do have some responsibility in this. They tried to
fight something with nothing. Mitch McConnell and others said, you
know what, We're not going to come up and solidify
around one political republican alternative, no free market alternative that

(11:07):
will actually work. So because of Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan,
we find ourselves on the precipice of socialized medicine, which
is where the Democrats are pushing us to be. Let
me bring on an expert as to what Obamacare did
to ruin one sixth of the US economy. His name
is Scott Ferguson. Folks. He's the owner and operator of

(11:29):
American Medical Plans. His job is to find his customers
the best deals on health insurance. That's not easy under Obamacare.
Proud to have him as a sponsor of the Chris
Alsato Show and the Salsado Storm podcast. Scott, welcome, How
you doing, Chris, I'm doing well, Glad to have you.
Open enrollment is on. Tell the folks what that means

(11:51):
in the insurance.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Industry, Well, open enrollment, I mean what people think it
means is that's the only time you can sign up
for health coverage. It is the only time you can
sign up for the Affordable Care Act. Now, what they
don't realize is there's a lot more plans out there
that they haven't been told about. These are private plans,
and there is no open enrollment period. It's it's all

(12:13):
year long. You can sign up, you can. You know,
it's it's it's open for everyone. Now it's and it's
this open. This Obamacare atrocity is, in my opinion is
well hopefully it's it's on its way down.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Well, you and I have had many an off air
conversation about Obamacare and and what it's done. And I
think that the audience would would benefit from from a
guy who's on the inside trying to make trying to
make it work in the insurance market. Tell, tell the
folks exactly how catastrophic Obamacare has been for the insurance industry.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Well, first of all, Obamacare is it's it's not the answer.
It's uh, there's when you look at it this way,
you know, not all doctors are cretty. You know, there's
there's doctors, the best doctors, and then there's other doctors.
And to me, Obamacare, you're not going to be you're
not going to be able to seek out the best
doctors and the most prestigious hospitals under a government mandated plan.

(13:13):
It is uh in here, in here, in Texas, what's
nationwide most doctors and hospitals are not in network. It
is a very very small network. Now, Uh, it's to
me the Democrats what they're doing right now is just
trying to buy vote, Uh, is all they're trying to
do with the healthcare plan. But what this is going

(13:34):
to do is it's going to show the public exactly
what this plan actually costs. So it's it's the taxpayers
are footing the bill.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Right exactly, folks. But it's very important that you heard
what Scott Ferguson just said. Because of socialism, because of communism,
you had no idea what health insurance really costs. Because
your taxes were being diverted and making, by the way,
these insurance companies filthy rich, distorting the price. You had
no idea what the real cost is, even though you

(14:01):
saw your costs going up, up and up, despite what
Obama promised that the average family of four would say
fifteen hundred dollars a year. That never happened, and it
never was going to happen. We're talking to Scott Ferguson, folks.
He's the owner and operator of American Medical Plans. ATNA
just left the obamacarecks changes. These silly little Obamacare ecks changes.

(14:24):
Of course ATNA correct me if I'm wrong, is the
biggest insurer in the United States. What impact does that have?

Speaker 4 (14:32):
Well, what the impact that has is there's a lot
of companies that followed suit. You know in certain states,
there's several companies that have pulled out. And what that's
doing is it's leaving just a few standing. And what
happens when you eliminate competition, I mean it's the people
are going to be forced onto a plan. The rates
are going to double or triple, your out of pocket

(14:54):
maximums are going to go through the roof. And again
the list of doctors and hospitals is going to get
even more or narrow. I mean, it's if this is
a trend, this is not something that is. This has
been coming for a long time, and it's it's not working.
It's it's in my opinion, Obamacare all that is is
a precursor to socialized medicine. That's that's what the Democrats

(15:14):
are trying to accomplish with this with this plan.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
Yeah, they've actually they've actually openly said it that that
that this is supposed to this is supposed to fail,
so that the American people are brought to their knees
and they're begging for government takeover of our medicine. And
I've got to be honest with you, Scott, that we
just saw what Democrats did with forty two million people
who are dependent on them for food, for basic food.
They cut off food to forty two million people for

(15:39):
their politics. Should we be should we trust democrats in
this government with a power over our children, our parents,
and our health care? Can they be trusted with that
same power?

Speaker 4 (15:49):
Well? To me, health health coverage is one of the
most important decisions a family can make for themselves and too.
And you have to ask yourself what business does the
government run efficiently? Name one, and it's it's why would
you put your trust into a into a the government
which it could change daily? I mean right now they're

(16:13):
they're arguing over they're fighting amongst themselves and who's suffering
right now? Obamacare? You know, now you can still sign
up for Obamacare, but with the customer service and claims.
Do you think that's gonna that's gonna proceed as as
it used to. No, that's gonna slow down tremendously because
of all this turmoil. Now it's you know, it's it's Obamacare.

(16:34):
Is I cannot myself live with myself if I relied
on the government to tell me what doctors and hostiles
I can go to knowing that by the day my
premiums could double or triple. But by doing so, in
my opinion, you're you're just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic.
This ship's going down.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Ye.

Speaker 4 (16:54):
And there's other options out there that will help you.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Well, we're gonna get to those options, and but I
let's get through the political landscape before we get there.
With Scott Ferguson, folks, he's the owner and operator of
American Medical Plans, a proud sponsor of The Salsado Show
and the Salsado Storm podcast. Uh. The Democrats are the problem,
of course, with their social their push towards socialized medicine
and government's takeover of our health care. The Republicans have

(17:19):
actually had a policy of offering no alternatives, no American
free market alternatives.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
And the Republicans, even at this point, unless you're Trump
or Senator Rand Paul, refuse to point out that healthcare
is failing in America because of Democrats. What is your
take on the Republican's timidity.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
My take on that is, you know, you know why,
why why they why they won't. I don't know why
they won't. They won't say that, Chris, I don't. I
don't understand the reasoning. But it's it's plain as day
that health coverage in America is failing. It has failed.
I mean this, this, this is a system that is

(18:02):
based on taxpayers and you know people out there that
are paying an ungodly amount for health insurance, they're the
ones putting the bill for everyone else. And to me,
that is that a is that America? Is that fair?
Is that where we should be? So? I mean, someone's
going to have to stand up and separate the government
from health care so we can get affordable premiums again

(18:24):
and we can get quality coverage.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Yeah. I think it's something that we need, and that
leads me to the to where we need to start
thinking about solutions. You are an expert in the industry.
If if you were king for a day, or say
the Republicans grew a brain cell and grew a spine
and said, you know what, Scott, what if we were
going to create a bill to fix what the Democrats

(18:48):
have broken? What would that bill look like, so, I'm
going to ask you the question, what what can we
do to rescue one sixth of the US economy and
return power for our healthcare back in the hands of
the people rather than the government.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Well, what we can do is we can what we're
doing right now, Chris letting the letting the public know
that there are other options out there. You know, people
need to get away from from this Obamacare, you know,
the sinking ship. Now, what we can do is show
them plans that absolutely leaves the government out of the
decision making. Let's face it, even if you find a

(19:25):
plan with the ADA, it's going to be based off
of your income. Well, you know what, if your income
fluctuated through the year, which everyone does, you're going to
pay a hefty penalty at the end of the year.
There are plans out there that that income is not
an it's not a question, it doesn't matter. It's you
leave the government out of it. You know, people need
to take personal responsibility for their health coverage and stop

(19:46):
relying on the government because this is what they're what's
happening right now is the best they can do, and
there are other options out there. Whether you call us
at American medical Plans or whether you call another specialist
you know, please check out your options because this is
about to get real ugly for people. And I can't
imagine having a plan that is barely affordable now knowing

(20:09):
that it could triple tomorrow and someone you know, how
good is a planet? It's unaffordable. I mean, it doesn't
make sense right.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
And again calling it the Affordable Care Acts is why
I never do because nothing is affordable about what they've done.
But folks, I want you to hear what Scott just said.
That we are staring down the barrel of government failure
and that same government that has failed us over and
over and over again is asking for more power to

(20:38):
continue to fail us. And the definition of insanity, as
you all know, is to continue to do the same
thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Scott,
if folks want to check out American Medical Plans and
what you do again? You are a sponsor of this
radio show in the Salsado Storm podcast. Where can they go?
What can they do to try to take some control
over their health care decision?

Speaker 4 (21:00):
Well, one thing they can do is go to American
Medical Plans p l a NS dot com or call
eight three three five hundred plan we have at my office.
We're a family agency. We're going to take each each
person and we're going to tailor make a plan to
fit their needs and their budget. We're not going to
force on you all these benefits that are mandated by

(21:21):
the Affordable Care Act that are jacking up the bill.
We're going to cut your costs on average between thirty
and sixty five percent a month. We're going to open
up open up a slew of doctors and hospitals nationwide.
Ppo you tell us where you want to go, and
you're in control. These plans are guaranteed renewable to age
sixty five. So whether you use it, whether you use

(21:43):
it for two million dollars worth of coverage and your
neighbor doesn't use it at all, you will not be
singled out for a rate increase. We cannot cancel your
policy when you reach the age of sixty five. We
will automatically convert you to a Medicare policy which which
suits you best. So again I would call eight hundred
or eight three three five hundred plus or go to
American Medical Plans dot com. One thing I will not

(22:03):
do in my office will not do is. We will
not hurt you. We will evaluate your situation. If you're
where you need to be, we will tell you that
we're not going to take you off of something and
put you onto something just to make a commission. I've
done this for too long. We're going to help you, folks.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
I am not only a spokesperson for American medical plans,
I am also a client and a very happy one.
Scott Ferguson, my friend, Thank you very much. I appreciate
you coming on and helping folks navigate what government has
made an absolute healthscape in the insurance market.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
Thank you, sir, Chris, thank you so much for having
me on. Thank you, sir.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
That's going to put a wrap on this self Sato
Storm podcast. Folks, don't forget pick up your copy of
The Rise of the Liberty Loving lat that you know.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
