Well, we'll give a little background to this. Yeah, so
we were going to record a podcast yesterday and the
idea is we're going to rank each attraction in the
water park. Yeah. So I told Sarah and she goes,
I've only written one ride in the whole water park,
and so we needed to change that. Yeah, So we
grabbed swimsuits and we went and we did everything and

how much time well a little over an hour.

Yeah, but so my apologies to apologies, but we got
through everything quickly, very quick.

We're going to rank them from mild to wild, Yes,

So the number one thing, and the reason we're doing
this episode really is, is the last weekend of Boulder Beach.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
I know, summer's like over, well yes, I mean unofficially,
unofficially over. The water park ends, yes, but there's still
a weekend. I mean, it still goes through Labor Day,
So get out and write those water slides one more time.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Also, we have Coaster Classic this weekend, and so that
is our classic car show. Come out and see all
the i mean hundreds of cars that line the main
street lawn. It's a really fun event, a really fun weekend.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
It is kind of a traditional way to just kind
of take by to summer, but then more fun things
on the horizon. Obviously, our schedule changes, so we're going
to go from seven days a week to just weekends, correct,
And that first weekend is Grandparents Weekend, So Grandma Grandpa
get in free with the purchase of a ticket, So

bring Graham and Grandpa out here for a great day
of fun. And then we head into community appreciation weekends
where a portion of your ticket proceeds goes to our
local food banks and so.

We absolutely love that.

So if you want to help out the community and
support local, that's a great way to do so is
by coming one of those weekends.

And then we're ready for skiing secure time.

Yeah, In fact, you just got out of a scary
wood meeting. Yeah, everything scary wood. There's masks everywhere. Again,
the office is a mess. Yeah, a great mess though,
a great scary mess really.

I think we talked about we announced that we were
making the swine bigger and badder, and so all that
is happening right now. And I don't know if people
really realize how long it takes to set all this up.
And we started concepting and going through this, and we
knew back in February this is kind of the direction
we were going to go. So getting ideas and then

really starting to build intensive was probably been the past.

Yeah, three weeks.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Can't really develop everything, and it's it's going to be bigger,
then it's going to be better.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
It's going to be scarier, batter in a good way.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah yeah, I never thought of it that way, but.

Bigger and bad is the best way possible.

Megan Evans wants to know the RV park is filled
for the whole summer almost immediately, Yes, within like an hour.
Are there any alternative RV parks in the area? And
I was just going to say, get a campsite at Farragut.
It might not be an RV park per se, but
lots of r V camping there is.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Yeah, so Farragut and then Ravenwood, which is right down
the street from us, is the closest campground, but there's
so many in the area that it's hard to like
nail it down to just a couple. Obviously, ours, if
you can get in, is the closest. You just walk over,
which is really convenient, but you do have to be
on it, and those usually go up as far as
(05:10):
like reservations in January. So just sign up for our
newsletter because that's when we blast out and watch us
on social media because that stuff does go out and
it's usually like in a couple of days, they're gonna
we give it a warning and then it goes up
and then in six hours the summer is really full.

Yeah, it really really is.

And it's like midnight that we put those like, so
by one am, all the best sites are.

There's a lot of them, yeah, which is crazy.

So people are setting their alarms pretend it's like a
concert somebody who've been just like dying to see and
you're not going to miss out on those, So set
that alarm and keep an eye out for that. You

exciting coming to Silverwood for summer twenty twenty six.

Always, well, there's things that are being worked on. All
the details are not quite in place and approval is
not quite there, but there are things that are being
worked on behind the scenes. We're always trying to improve
and that's why we listen to everybody who gives a
survey and trying to improve that guest experience. And that's
where like tremors happen this year with adding the second train,
(06:21):
and that has helped immensely on just the throughput, how
many rides you can ride during the day, and so
we're always looking at that as well as like what
can we do new and different.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Exactly exactly, So there are new things on the horizon,
more to come on that.
Speaker 1 (06:35):

their breath without plugging her nose.

taught me and she told me, like, this is what
you have to do, and I promised her like I'm

And the first time I didn't.

Do it yesterday, I ended up basically almost barfing on
the GoPro.

Because I was choking up water.

But I was also screaming with my mouth open, with
my eyes shut and trying to hold my breath and
it just didn't work.

Downhill both ways. The whole time is downhill magic. It's
just magically.

Now, Like I really hadn't ever thought about it.

was like your brain was an overdrive trying to get

And then he showed me the current. I was like, whoa, yeah,

was getting shot in the side of the head non stop,

our little out trow underneath the bucket.

like four feet behind us, and so we're like, shoot,
we gotta do it again. So we moved back and

So we'll see how that footage turned out, but I'm
sure it was.

Yeah, but I've been like Jose member Jose when he
was a guest and he lost his shorts in the wavepool.
So I guess with any ride, really make sure that
you are wearing something that fitted apparel, yes, and that
you can maybe tighten a little bit because things get
going fast.

And I'm going to bring up this other inside scoop
is we talked about this before, but the hidden cabana. Yes,
at the exit of Avalanche Mountain and Ricochet Rapids, there's
a cabana down there that no one is ever really
in and when we walked up, sure enough yesterday, no
one was in it. So if you're looking for a
spot that secluded that is pretty much always available.

we were going to record a podcast yesterday and the
idea is we're going to rank each attraction in the
water park. Yeah. So I told Sarah and she goes,
I've only written one ride in the whole water park,
and so we needed to change that. Yeah, So we
grabbed swimsuits and we went and we did everything and

Yeah, but so my apologies to apologies, but we got
through everything quickly, very quick.

So the number one thing, and the reason we're doing
this episode really is, is the last weekend of Boulder Beach.

I know, summer's like over, well yes, I mean unofficially,
unofficially over. The water park ends, yes, but there's still
a weekend. I mean, it still goes through Labor Day,
So get out and write those water slides one more time.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Yeah.

Also, we have Coaster Classic this weekend, and so that
is our classic car show. Come out and see all
the i mean hundreds of cars that line the main
street lawn. It's a really fun event, a really fun weekend.

It is kind of a traditional way to just kind
of take by to summer, but then more fun things
on the horizon. Obviously, our schedule changes, so we're going
to go from seven days a week to just weekends, correct,
And that first weekend is Grandparents Weekend, So Grandma Grandpa
get in free with the purchase of a ticket, So

bring Graham and Grandpa out here for a great day
of fun. And then we head into community appreciation weekends
where a portion of your ticket proceeds goes to our
local food banks and so.

by coming one of those weekends.

I think we talked about we announced that we were
making the swine bigger and badder, and so all that
is happening right now. And I don't know if people
really realize how long it takes to set all this up.
And we started concepting and going through this, and we
knew back in February this is kind of the direction
we were going to go. So getting ideas and then

really starting to build intensive was probably been the past.

Yeah, three weeks.

Can't really develop everything, and it's it's going to be bigger,
then it's going to be better.

It's going to be scarier, batter in a good way.

Yeah yeah, I never thought of it that way, but.

Bigger and bad is the best way possible.

for the whole summer almost immediately, Yes, within like an hour.
Are there any alternative RV parks in the area? And
I was just going to say, get a campsite at Farragut.
It might not be an RV park per se, but
lots of r V camping there is.

Yeah, so Farragut and then Ravenwood, which is right down
the street from us, is the closest campground, but there's
so many in the area that it's hard to like
nail it down to just a couple. Obviously, ours, if
you can get in, is the closest. You just walk over,
which is really convenient, but you do have to be
on it, and those usually go up as far as
(05:10):
like reservations in January. So just sign up for our
newsletter because that's when we blast out and watch us
on social media because that stuff does go out and
it's usually like in a couple of days, they're gonna
we give it a warning and then it goes up
and then in six hours the summer is really full.

Yeah, it really really is.

And it's like midnight that we put those like, so
by one am, all the best sites are.

There's a lot of them, yeah, which is crazy.

Always, well, there's things that are being worked on. All
the details are not quite in place and approval is
not quite there, but there are things that are being
worked on behind the scenes. We're always trying to improve
and that's why we listen to everybody who gives a
survey and trying to improve that guest experience. And that's
where like tremors happen this year with adding the second train,

and that has helped immensely on just the throughput, how
many rides you can ride during the day, and so
we're always looking at that as well as like what
can we do new and different.

Exactly exactly, So there are new things on the horizon,
more to come on that.

the GoPro.

Because I was choking up water.

my eyes shut and trying to hold my breath and
it just didn't work.

Now, Like I really hadn't ever thought about it.

My inside scoop is if you're writing, let's do Avalanche Mountains.
If you're writing Avalanche Mountain, it is imperative that you
have four people in the thing because it is such
a better ride.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
I can't imagine doing too wo happens when.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
You do too, you don't go up the sides as much.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
And so what I would recommend if you have two
is maybe trying to find an extra two. Maybe, and
maybe if you stand off to the side and kind
of wait and say for another two.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
That's what we did. We just waited.
Speaker 4 (38:50):
Yeah, And so that might be a good option to
try to get a full ride.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
Yeah, and the splashing. I didn't mention the splashing.
Speaker 3 (38:57):
Splashing we got, Oh my gosh, they literally the whole
entire lifeguard team came out and decided, oh, they work here,
so we have.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
No choice splash of their life. So that's how we
kicked out.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
And we had a pretty it was it was a
tube that was weighted.
Speaker 4 (39:11):
Yeah, and so we got stuck on the hope to
go down, and so they just kept splashing us.
Speaker 1 (39:15):
We're like, so that is a good to ask for
a splash.
Speaker 4 (39:21):
Unless you don't want it, then say don't I don't
want to splash it yet, and hopefully they listen.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
You want to splash? That's fun. It is definitely fun
inside soup, inside scoop.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
If you go on Velocity Peak, make sure that your
bikini and your shorts and whatever you're wearing fit. That's
a good because otherwise you're going to give everybody a show.
Speaker 2 (39:41):
Yeah. So yeah, well, and that's a good point.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
It's very important.
Speaker 3 (39:44):
And I remember when we went to go get the swimsuits,
mine was mixed up and I thought it was a
different size. And I'm so glad I didn't get the
guys that was a size bicker, because that's a go
pro moment we didn't need. We would have had to
have put like the holes.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
No, we would never have shown that.
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Yeah, but I've been like Jose member Jose when he
was a guest and he lost his shorts in the wavepool.
So I guess with any ride, really make sure that
you are wearing something that fitted apparel, yes, and that
you can maybe tighten a little bit because things get
going fast.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
And I'm going to bring up this other inside scoop
is we talked about this before, but the hidden cabana. Yes,
at the exit of Avalanche Mountain and Ricochet Rapids, there's
a cabana down there that no one is ever really
in and when we walked up, sure enough yesterday, no
one was in it. So if you're looking for a
spot that secluded that is pretty much always available.
Speaker 2 (40:36):
That's your spot.
Speaker 1 (40:37):
Yeah, and it's it's in a great.
Speaker 4 (40:39):
You just have to It's a little awkward because he
had to walk down the exit of the tube slides
the family rap slides.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
To get there. Yeah, but it's money. It's money.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
If you've ever found that spot, let us know, because
we're thinking nobody is listening to us because we've talked
about it. We have so many times, and nobody was
there on a busy day. So so yeah, we do
what we can.
