Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, so it's Friday, that means it's wine time Friday.
And as always I've got my top wine expert in
from Madrid, Amy Bingham from Walk and Eat Spain dot
com where they do fantastic tours sample in the local delicacies, wines,
cheeses and tappers, and Amy's journ us today with another
(00:23):
wine recommendation for Christmas. Hi, Amy, and welcome to the show.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Thanks David. It's so good to be here. Happy start
to the Christmas season. Now, there are so many great
wines that go with the season because there's just so
many great opportunities to pop a bottle a otpen, right,
So I wanted to start off with sort of the
most festive way to start off the season, which is
of course with some bottles. And I have this particular
kava that I just can't convince myself to buy anything else.
(00:52):
So this is the one that every time I go
down to my local wine store, I pick up a
bottle just in case bottle and it's called the Natduda
and it's a root carver, so it's dry, it's crisp,
it's easy drinking, and most importantly, it comes in between
five and six euros depending on where you buy it,
and of course being Carver. One of my favorite fun
facts about Carava, which I know I've told you before,
(01:14):
is all Caver is certified organic as of this next harvest,
So it's one of those bottles that you can kind
of guilt free accidentally drink the whole thing and not
feel too bad the next day.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Well, I go and buy your recommendation. A couple of
weeks ago, we used to drink Carver from Murcadonna and
buy a basic bott about three euros a bottle. I
did find that if I'd worn a couple of glasses
the next day, I will get a bit of a headache.
And I did take your recommendation and go a little
bit dearer with water bottle that was five eighty five,
(01:47):
which horrified more Spanish worth They don't like paying a
lot of money for over four euros for a bottle
of wine. But anyway, five eighty five bottle of Carver,
and my wife didn't really like it, which is great
news for me because I ended up drinking most of
it myself and the next day, surprise, surprise, no headache.
So yeah, that's definitely my favorite. So thanks for that recommendation.
So this one's five or six euros you say, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Kind of depending on where you bathe and usually find it.
I think at my local shop it's five point sixty five.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Thank you for that recommendation, Amy, and thanks for joining
us on the show today.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
My pleasure, have you Halladays
