Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yo, what's happening everybody. We're back with another episode of
Too Much Fantasy Football. It's week seven, it's Brian, it's Brennan,
and we've got to talk about some Thursday night football today.
How you doing, buddy, I'm pretty good.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I've been a room at sixty one degree, so I'm
in heaven.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Jealous call me peanut Butter and jealous. God. It's my
favorite part of a hotel, leaving the TV on all
day and cranking that acy as low as I can
possibly get it. That's part of the money I spend, folks.
I'm getting all that, yes, all.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Fifty dollars for the best Western over here.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Hey, that's the commitment, folks. We're sending them out there.
We're getting over there close to the forty nine ers
in depth report. We're trying to figure out why these
players are getting hurt. So we're sending Brennan over there
to figure it out, because clearly, if I went hurt,
I'm the one that fell down the stairs the week
before the combine this year.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Yeah, no kidding, it's still hurt.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
My back still hurts from that, Like I can't. I can't. Yeah. Anyway,
y'all don't care, but yeah, we uh we miss Brennan
for the the waiver wires, We're gonna talk about a
handful of these players as we kind of get into this.
We still need a lot of these practice sports can
really come through before making decision. We'll talk about some
of the trade rumors coming through because John on Twitter,
everybody Ricky, he's back, He's been spotted, So we're hoping

(01:28):
to get a little trade action. And then of course
the Thursday Night Football the preview for that. So it's
actually of these waiver wire guys that we missed chatting here.
The Bucks they're hurting, man, They're absolutely they're bleeding wide receivers.
Baker says he's fine, he doesn't need them. He can
take care of it. But we're looking at a combination
of Serling Shepherd, maybe Mike Evans coming back, the rookie,
Tes Johnson, second year, Cameron Johnson. I keep wanting to

(01:50):
say Caleb Johnson, but Cameron Johnson.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Tes so, like I think guy had rank him the
way you said him, though, I think like as weird
as it is, like I think Johnson's just like a big,
big yak kind of a guy where it's just like
that's where he lives in. I think it's Sterling Shepherd
will probably be the more focal point because it's a
connection already with Baker and everything else like that. Like
the crazy thing is like I'm I'm still gonna start
Baker this week. Like he just he just seems like

(02:16):
it doesn't matter. He could have like high school wide
receivers out there and he'll make it work.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah. The rushing yard, if anything, that's just gonna go up.
And that's direct fantasy points right there. You don't need
anybody else to help him out. His rushing has clearly
been one of the huge, Like I mean it's last
few weeks thirteen fifteen and fourteen yards, but he was
over thirty three yards the first three weeks, so I
imagine the bit of that continues. Yeah, I think I'm
saying page with you. Sterling Shepherd seems, especially in PPR,

(02:41):
like he's probably gonna be that nice floor safe play. Yes,
Tes Johnson might be the guy you need for like
a touchdown, two or three catches, possibly maybe the big
play and then kayle r.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Yeah, but I say I rank him kind of like
the Chargers wide receivers, Like I think like Ladd is Sterling. Yeah,
I'd say Tes is QJ, and I'd say other Cameron Cameron,
Cameron is Keenan. That's how i'd rank it. Honestly, it's
where that sounds like.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
It's gonna call him kJ, Cameron Johnson kJ. There we Yeah,
I think the break glass in case of emergency is
gonna be the Cameron Johnson, especially because these players, I'm
not really looking at him long term, you know, like
we're expecting Abuka to come back simmy soon. They've got
two weeks and then the bye week, So I imagine we
see Abuka back in week ten if Mike Evans is here.

(03:27):
I just I don't know how much consistent work we are.
So I didn't break the bank for any of these fellas.
I think I picked up Shepherd a couple leagues, but
I hesitant. I think next week honestly might be where
we play the most because how many by weeks I
did seven by weeks eight by weeks next week?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah, I did two dollars for tes in one league,
so I was just like I did kind of like
what I saw out of it in that in that game.
But is Mike Evan's gonna practice this week or I
didn't see. That's the only thing I was gonna say
is like, I know he can, he's eligible to be activated.
I didn't see anything today. I know it's Wednesday afternoon.
I didn't see anything about him being activated for practice.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, there's the time of this recording, Folks recording this
late on a Wednesday, So Wednesday practice reports kind of
mean a whole lot of nothing for us. Most recent
update is team's hopeful he will practice this week, not
even play, just practice, So week is probably to date. Yeah,
that's kind of the report. Him and George Kittle are
both kind of given those vibes, probably practicing this week,

(04:20):
but may not be until week eight.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Kittle was limited, so and as someone who needs Killed
to play, like I'm I'm really needing Killed to play.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
So hey, I've got him in the top four right
now on my tight end rankings. Premptively, I'm trying to
wish it into, push it into the fruition, make it happen.
I want to want to see Kittle come out there.
Burden Burden. Burden Burden led the team in receptions. Looks
like he's finally getting involved. DJ Moore, I guess I
need to check on that. But left the game in

(04:47):
an ambulance.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah, stayed overnight in the hospital with what it was,
something with the organs. I know that was it. It
wasn't Kidney's right or it was kidneys.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
I think what I'm I'm seeing here. They got it
labeled as a groin, but that's also all up in
that area of the box. Who knows what it could
truly be.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
That sounds good. That's Ben Johnson I think takes a
playbook out of Shannon, like, yeah, one of them, just like, yeah,
you know, I don't know if he'll be alive tomorrow,
so we'll see.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, he's like, I got it up on my vision
board that he's gonna play this week, So I'm gonna
believe that it's gonna happen exactly.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
So yeah, I fully expect DJ DJ Moore to miss
if he plays it. I mean, I don't even know
if I want to play. It just sounds so bad,
like I just but again, I don't know the full
extent of it.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
So yeah, groin injury is what pulled Kinkaid out of this, uh,
this past game on Monday night. Those injuries aren't really
one that can be played through, So depending on what
exactly that is, I'm hoping he's okay, But if he
wants to take the next month off, I'm cool with
that too. Hop on eye R buddy, hang out there.
We're looking to play Burden. We're looking to play a
dude to day. Are you worried that they're spreading the

(05:54):
ball around too much that Burden might not even get
consistent startability.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I'm honestly more surprised that, like DJ Moore isn't a
part of a trade rumor talk, Like I and I
say that, like maybe it's just more fantasy thinking than anything,
because like the Bears need him. He's a good wide receiver.
But like, yeah, I feel like this team does very
well with under like Roma Dunsay and Luther and z
A Kiis and everything else like that. I it's weird

(06:21):
as it sounds, but like I'm kind of surprised because
he's a big cap hit. He's like I think he's
thirty million, So like if they want to, you know,
move elsewhere, but they might want to keep him too.
But yeah, I'm not sure what to do with him. Honestly,
with uh, Luther Burden, I think it's just like a
wait and see is where I'd be with him?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Yeah, I'm owning him in as many leagues that I
can afford to have him on the bench, But unfortunately
a couple of those teams have Odoonsy too, So I'm
like really in a pickle because I like, I want
to have him on the roster, I want out on waivers,
but never playing him over Odonsay. Had he caught that ball,
Oh my gosh, it was hurting when o'doonsay. What was
it was only thirty some yards? Thirty two yards on

(07:00):
two catches.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Yeah, that's a disappointment.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah, Loveland, we saw get a little bit more involved.
Comet's always going to be a thorn in the side
as far as how that happens.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
So I think Loveland's starting to peak a little bit more, though,
I think his usage will start to go up a
little bit more, so we'll see.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Yeah, two catches eleven yards. I saw something that Colson
Loveland has as many catches and yards.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
As Tyler Ridges. I saw that too. Is pretty bad, dude,
That Bears fans are really upset.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
And like, all in all, I don't think that shows
too much about the type of player he is. We
said this coming into the season, it's oversaturated this this
Bears offense. They've got three good wide receivers and a
couple doable ones. They've got two good tight ends, multiple
running backs, So this was the fear coming into it.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, I didn't know which one it was exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Yeah, see Jonathan Taylor, Yes, speaking of the Colts. You
see Josh Dowens just hit concussion protocol a little bit ago.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah, I don't know. I watched that game and when
he got the touch John, he like smacked his head
and he got a kind of gingerly and I was
just like, I bet you'll be can cussed a little bit,
and he was. So that was cool.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I almost guarantee the NFL is gonna come down with
something this offseason saying players cannot fake injuries for celebrations
because I know it's it's like, oh my gosh, it
might have happened, but if anything, that could be just
their way of disguising some of these inta because like
you said, I didn't know if he was playing it off,
if it's you know, just part of the celebration.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Tiny little dude. So yeah, that does affect Josh down
that is effect. I would say Daniel Jones a little bit,
and everybody else like that. I think I think Adie
Mitchell is gonna play this.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
They're gonna have to bring them back for this game.
Healthy scratch last week, still in the doghouse. The last
couple of guys I want to talk about here is
so Callen Ridley deal with the hamstring injury. There's nothing
else on that team. It seems like as far as
past catchers elk au Manner, we saw a little bit
of flashes as far as the touchdowns go with him

(08:57):
and Ward. You're owning him because puny bodies, but like
the confidence to play him. I think this, honestly, this
week might be the only week I have it, And
it's purely because the bump that you get from the
interim head coach playing the Patriots. You can't throw in
the Patriots. Ward likes to vomit. But I just don't
know where when I'll feel comfortable enough to play.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
Yeah, I kind of put him in that that lump
tier of like Keon Coleman area where it's just like
break the glass if you're down. But even then, like
I'm trying to think of other guys that want to
start over him. I feel like he's kind of like
a real last resort. I know he's gonna be the
featured guy and be on the field, probably get ninety
percent of the snaps. But I it's the Titians are

(09:42):
just a very bad team and it's just really unfortunate.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, I mean you can kind of tell that when
they let Derrick Henry walk, when they trade away a Brown.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Yeah, that's so.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Would you do lka you man Or this week? Or
Sterling Shepherd.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Sterling Shepherd. I think it's an easy one too, A.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Man Or or Jerry Judy against Miami.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I think I think I go Jerry Judy.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Yeah, yeah, I don't have them ranked that way, but
we can change that, folks. I got a week to
do that. Yeah, awesome. The last one Jordan Whittington playing
it internationally this week. The Rams are Pukinaku potentially missing.
I think this is the guy I want over him
or at Well, but in a game internationally.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Which I want at Well.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Goodness, goodness, I think it's a floor ceiling play. Yeah,
Whittington's gonna give you more of the the oral points
and then you have zero points to twenty two points
with that.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Well, yeah, that's why I think I want at Well
because I just know the ceiling plays there and like
they've given him incentivized contracts to keep coming back. So
like that's where I lean towards it too.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
So yeah, two catches seventy two yards, one catch eighty
eight yards. It's just the two games of Elephants this year.
Going back to last year, you know, he had multiple
games five catches, six sketches, six catches when they kind
of premiered him. So I think it's doable. Whittington. I
think it's just a bit younger. Maybe I'm hoping that
we get something developing out of I think he's a
third year player this year.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
Yeah, he was like the best ball, the best ball
adored last year for everybody, Like in the eighteenth round,
everyone was just like, oh, Jordan Whinnington, you know, rams.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Guy who knows.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
But yeah, I think I'm at Well before I'm Whittington.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
I get that nice. All right, Let's get to some
of these trade rumors. They're a floating, they're out and about.
It's that time of year. Everybody gets pumped if you
can't pull off a trade in your fantasy league, you
want to see your home team pull one off. So
let's talk about some of these names here. Which one
I guess, out of the names we have, which one
do you think is the most exciting for fantasy.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
The most exciting one that makes you like, makes you
feel something would be Breece Hall would be to the Chiefs.
That's like, that's the one where, like, I don't typically
like trading. I don't like going for guys who've been traded,
but like, that would be the one where I'm like, Okay,
he would immediately get as to where he's at, Like
he had like what twenty touches for seventy seven yards

(12:04):
last week. I think he solidifies everything in the run
game for the Chiefs and they don't have to worry
about it. So I would be really excited to resolve
with the Chiefs. That's like my number one hopeful move.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
I think I'm right there with you. I've I've fallen
into the hype. I get excited about trades like most
of us do. But end of the day, we've seen it.
When you have a mid season trade, it's mainly the
wide receivers, but they really do not adjust quick enough
or faster. They may have a role in for their team,
you know, in an NFL role, they may help and
do what they need to do. But as far as fantasy,

(12:37):
like we saw it last year, obviously Dante Adams traded
mid season to his old quarterback. He's a different kind
of dog. So like there is that example, but you
also have the Deontay Johnsons of last year the market.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I think it's also when you say Davante like he
was going to like a similar playbook that Aaron Rodgers
likes to run, So it wasn't like anything where he was,
you know, missing a beat. You know, a lot of
these guys are going to you know, different playbooks, different
call these, different schemes where they might not be out
there for you know, like we're gonna talk about some
of the names. So these guys are out there for
eighty percent of the snaps, they might only be out
there for sixty percent of the snaps just because of

(13:10):
the playbook call. So that's it's gonna take some time
to adjust. So it really hurts you in the beginning.
It might be better off at the end of the season,
but the beginning it's gonna be it's gonna be a
little bit hurtful.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah, I definitely agree the three wide receivers that are
being talked about right now. It's chrysal love, which makes
complete sense. Saints obviously aren't in it. Let's pick up
some picks. They spent a lot on a lavee, so
let's recoup a little bit of that back. Jacobe Myers
disgruntled going into the season cut. What a two million
dollar contract extent?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Yeah, like Juwan Jennings, who got the little bump? H Jacoby,
I don't know what he got. He's I think got
an extension.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Actually I don't remember. I remember him coming back and like,
yeah I tried, and you know this is where we're at.
But yeah, so he's there. He's been god awful. I've
seen him on waiver wires in a couple of leagues.
So I was like, all right, do I pick him up?
Do I pick him up? And then the last one,
the one frustrates the absolute fuck out of me. Jalen Waddle.
He got to be a superstar his rookie year and

(14:08):
then we put in Tyreek Hill. That's fine, that's fine.
He still produced a little bit great number two. But
now we're gonna trade him away somewhere and make him
a number two. Again. I don't want this guy to
be stuck as a career number two. He can be
a one on the offense if he's healthy. But I
guess let's start with Waddle. Then the biggest rumor I
guess as teams that are looking as buyers would be.
It seems like the for wide receivers anyway.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Patriots, it's the Steelers and it's the Giants are the
big big names right now. They're talked about, which all
makes sense. Rookie quarterback under contracts and then one final
hurrah for Aaron Rodgers to get the rain.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
And I think, honestly, DK could really use a guy
like I mean really all three of them, but like
Jacoby a lot. I mean, Jacoby probably makes the most sense.
They've just been a bag on DK, but just somebody
to be more of that possession receiver and let DK
go deep.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah, like Jacoby's been a big disappointment. Very I think
you and I were both thing just like hope Gina
would come over. The completion percentage would be there, even
for brock Bowers. It would be like an easy slam dunk.
This team would be you know, above nine hundred fighting
for a playoff spot, you know, relying on you know,
just you know, Pete Carroll to be who he is
as a head coach, and it's been the opposite Jean.

(15:17):
You know, Gina Smith is not meshed well at Chip
Kelly's play calling, whether either it's his playing calling or
it's him as just a you know, being a quarterback
is just you know, falling off a cliff, you know,
which it would suck. But I think if Jacoby does
go to the Steelers, I think even the Giants. Honestly,
I think the Giants, Like that's why i'd rank them.
I think it'd be Giants, Steelers, and then Patriots. That's

(15:40):
how I'd rank for Jacoby.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Yeah, my issue right now with the Patriots. Would I
not love for Drake May to get like a serious weapon? Absolutely,
Drake May is passing to everybody. He is horrible for
some of those pieces just as far as him, Like
now we're having to play the is it Sefon Diggs
or is it a booty game? Or is Pop Doubl's
just gonna ruin it for everybody.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
So he's a better Jordan Love in my opinion, Yeah,
that's how I view Matt Jordan Love spreads the ball around.
He doesn't have a go to guy. But in the
games where you've noticed with Jordan Love, though, he'll hone
in on one guy and that guy will have a
big game, but it's not the same repetitions over and
over again, like Kraftlove a big game, then Dobbs will
have three touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Like it's it's not wantson exactly.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
Well, god, I'm not. I'm not saying you can say.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
I try to get the folks. I try to slide
it in there, and he just ships me down every time. Yeah,
last year there was only four games that Jacobe Myers
had four catches or less. He's already had four of
those games this year. So it's just it's that's the
way he wins. He wins on volume, he wins on
those receptions. He's a talented guy. So I definitely want
to see him move because right now is he has
no fantasy value. So I think if he moves, there's

(16:45):
a chance a lot of I think he's kind of
in a similar boat. Again, we're saying it's it's it's
it's hard to play these guys when they.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
Move, but a lobby is someone I don't want moved
out of, or a wattle too, but a lobby, I
think a lobby. Where would he go where he'd get
more production than the Saints?

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Like he's Giants. I like him going to the Giants,
But I.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Feel like him and Wandell are the same guy.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Yeah, but he's more talented than Wande.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Sure you can make that argument, but I think I
just think in a nutshe I think a Lave is
perfect where he's at. I think, you know, I'm not
expecting to get touchdowns every week, but I'm expecting to
get seven six receptions. You know, that's where I draft
him a ton of PPR leagues. It's where I thought
he have his most value. I can't think the only
other place right now that would make the sense, or
if they went for it all would be the Bills.

(17:34):
And even then that doesn't like I would be I'd
be kind of scared if I owned a Lava and
he went to the Bills. That's it great for the Bills,
but is it great.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
For a Lave? Very similar if he went to the Patriots.
You know, I just wonder if he's going to have
a good game a great game and then a gone game.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Maybe, yeah, exactly, you know, all over the place. Some
of the guys that we're talking about here, if they
do get traded, I want to trade them away to
guys that are going to bank on them to be really,
really good. Like if a lave does get moved to
like the I'm out, I'm trading him away for some
other piece. Don't care. I just think that's that would
be a terrible spot. It's great for the Steelers, but

(18:07):
not good for a lobby and fantasy production.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
Yeah, I think the nice thing is so I'm not
outright going trying to get rid of these guys. But
as far as I mean, Meyer's a different boat. But
Lobby is really not bringing a whole lot of value
to my team right now. You know, he's giving you
a role, but he's not winning you weeks. So I
would kick the tires on like, hey, I'm not gonna
sell him after he gets traded, you know, like saying
his value's gonna jumps. If you guys want to come
get him, you can come get him now, kind of enticing,

(18:33):
you know, teasing out a little bit. But Wattle, I'm
not getting out of I know, there's rumors that could
kill his stuff, but like if he doesn't get moved,
he is going to continue to get fed. He will,
He's it's him. It's a chan in.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Crazy because like I say to myself, like why would
they move Wattle? It makes no sense. But like Micah
Parsons is also traded, so like that's where like I
have to stop like thinking logically the NFL, anything can happen,
so these guys can get moved. I for I for
sure thought like Micah Parsons would but actually stay a
cowboy forever, and that was proven not to be true.
So yeah, if Wattle does get moved, I still want

(19:05):
to hold on to him. I think he's really talented
and I think it's and I also don't I just
I'd be very very cautious of the Dolphins move. But
at that point everyone's.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Gone well and it's hard to think that they actually
had a report coming out that it seems like the
Dolphins are still okay with Mike McDaniel, Like despite how
the season ends, it sounds like they want to continue
to build it with him, Like maybe the GM finally
gets out of there because he needs to be gone.
He's terrible.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Well, he's been there for twenty five years and has
not been there, not won a playoff game, So yeah,
he should be gone. Like that's the longest leash I've
ever seen ever, I mean.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
Him and uh Marvin Lewis has probably the next closest
leash that I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Yes, yeah, but Martin As got cut offentually.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Finally, Yeah, Well, like Mike McDaniel, why would you why
would he want to stay there? If you trade away
Wattle Tyreek Hill's career is probably over.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Because you're the head coach and you're a head coach
of a football team, and you can he'll get a shot.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
Josh McDaniel's got multiple shots. Come on, Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
I think you know, the Eagles are probably just like, oh,
dear God, please get fired so you come here and
run this team. No, but that's the ending cycle, and
we hate Nick Sirianni and that's you know, the bubble
joy we never want to keep going down on. But no,
I know Eagles fans are literally just getting just salviating
in the fact that if he gets fired, he knows,
like I think I would put money on Vegas that
if mcgaonnell got fired, it'd be the Eagles automatically, not

(20:23):
even not any thinking twice.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yeah, it's he's either going to Philadelphia, to San Francisco
or to Fiji. Like it's just one of those three places. Yeah, exactly, Yeah,
Waltle I don't want to see it happen. I really
don't want to see it. I don't.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
I think he's really I think he'll have a ton
of I think Tua will continue to throw to him.
He'll have a ton of production, and they will They're
going to be in a ton of shootout games or
playing from behind because their defense is awful, and what
would benefit them more maybe as they start selling some
of those defensive pieces.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
I don't know. I've seen a couple of their defensive
linemen being they're knocking at the door at Chubb, at
Jays Hillen, Yeah, the ACL tear.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:04):
What's what's interesting is we kind of flirted with it
in the off season about hey, is Tyreek Hill get
traded if this team's bad enough. I we we won't
ever know this, but I so want to know, Like
he probably would have gotten traded. He probably would have
gotten traded at this point if they're shopping Wattle.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Yeah, I don't know what his contract situation is because
like Wattle's on a pretty high contract. So I don't
know what the dead cap hit because like everyone did, remember,
like dead cap exists, and so team's got to eat
that in some fashion. So like I wonder where he's
at with that. But yeah, everyone was just clamoring at
Tyreek Hill to the Chiefs. That was everyone's like no
dust situation.

Speaker 1 (21:40):
So yeah, it's fun. It's fun. And now we're talking
about the Bresaw possibly going to the chief Yeah, we.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Do have to mention about Breeshaw that Breesaw is linked
to the.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Charges as well.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Folks like that is actually a which is scary, like
for a Marion Hampton owners because Breesol is very talented
in his own right, and I know Marian Hanson is
talented in his own right. They might be able to
be on the field at both times. But I I'm
be very scared if they did that because like at
that point, who's the one?

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Yeah, I think it's a one A one B exactly
kind of like what they want to do with Naji,
except breese Hall is a lot more explosive than notchi is.
Ye was Yeah, yeah, I think that's Honestly, I think
my biggest fear is if that were to happen, But
I also don't I think that's also a really slim
chance that happening. The issue with these compensatory picks with
these teams is they're kind of incentivized to keep some

(22:34):
of these players. Like potentially they could get up to
the Jets could get a third round pick if Breese
hits free agency, gets a big contract, so obviously they're
gonna want a third back for him. But if a
team's not going to extend him, like the Chargers probably
wouldn't extend him, why would they pay more than a fifth?
Why would they pay more than a fourth?

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Song Yeah, it's like the Eagles always do this every year.
They always trade for those guys that are near the
end of their contract, so you just regain a third
out of it.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
It's like there.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Their GM is just super smart about that, which I
don't understand how people he keep He kept getting away
with that, which.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
The Vikings did brilliant move. Picked up Daniel Jones. You
don't need or you're not gonna use him, and look
what happened. The Colts game a contract and now you
know they get a third drone pick just for picking
up a guy. And Deontay Johnson went back to the
Ravens last year for the second time just for that
the chance that they could get a pick out of
him if he picks up a contract.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Nice. Anything else you want to touch on here before
we move on to THURSDA Night football.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Who's a player that's not being talked about right now?
That that would You're you're not being talked about being traded,
but you could see them being moved. Like who's your
your tinfoil hack conspiracy theory? I don't want to hear
it because I.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Know you have one. Come on, I bet you could
guess who it is too. It's my guy for me.
Oh you think, why wouldn't you trade ken Walker? You
clearly don't want to use them. They had a report
come out yes yesterday or today that they are going
to continue to split that backfield. I don't freaking get it.
They're clearly not gonna He's on the last Why.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
That's they're going to the playoffs, that's why.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah, So like it's smart for them to pick them both.
These guys get banged up from time to time, so
it's smart to go in there with them. But then
said Charboney, just don't sit him, but you don't give
him thirty percent of snaps, not fifty. But yeah, ken Walker,
I think he's in that realm of like him. Breeze Hall.
There was another running back I was thinking about. Oh yeah,
drum Ford there. Honestly, I think Rico Dabble should be traded.

(24:28):
They're kind of tied to Chub Hubbard for a year
or two.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
I think she should be traded.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
I think I think he is too, but like cap
situation on how that works, it might make more sense
for Rico down.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
He's only like eight million a year. He's not anything crazy.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, so get rid of him. You still have mister
double acl tear from ut.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
Jonathan Brooks.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Jonathan Brooks, God, I just never say the name, so
I can't even remember the name. You know, we haven't
talked about him at all.

Speaker 2 (24:52):
Yeah, I'd be very curious what happens next year because
Rico is on a one year deal, so I mean
they're hoping probably Jonathan Brooks comes back. And you know,
because Jonathan Brooks was a really good running back.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Very good. That's kind of to the the Ricodoule. He's
only one year. It'd be easy for him to move
all that kind of stuff. Yeah, that's the best thing. Yes,
that's my favorite thing in fantasy. I pick up a player,
you do is great ship him off? Yeah alright, what
about you? You got a name that that you think
could be talked about right now?

Speaker 2 (25:18):
I think Exaber I think xaberl get could get traded.
As random as that is, I could see that. I
can see him being traded to a team like the
Steelers who need it. He was a first round pick.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
I bet the fourth round pick for him. They've done
it before. What was that guy?

Speaker 2 (25:34):
My god, not to No, it wasn't is even the
team anymore?

Speaker 1 (25:41):
I think so it's probably the easiest way to find him. Yeah, yeah,
that was a horrendous trade.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah, it was a nobody. Why is it bugging me
so much? It's going to keep bugging me. Jonathan Mingo,
Jonathan Mingo, that's.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Overdrafted by the pain Anthers didn't do much. They shipped
them off to Dallas for a fourth rounder, which you
know they also acquired George Pickens for a fourth round
or so. Clearly they see them as equals. Yes, or
the Panthers are just good negotiators after they got their
their lunch money, take it in that first round. So
let's get at this Thursday night game here. It's gonna

(26:20):
be an exciting one, folks. Now, I can't fight you.
It may not be. It's Thursday night football. Who knows
what we're gonna get. We got the Steelers visiting the
Bengals in a forty four and a half point over
under game. Right now, the Pittsburgh Steelers are favored by
five and a half points. And no, it's not Joe
Burrow taking over the Bengals. It's Joe freaking Flacco flinging it. Yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Can I say something?

Speaker 1 (26:45):
Oh absolutely, I think the Bengals win.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
I don't know Thursday division exactly.

Speaker 2 (26:54):
It is just I think everyone is already penciled in Steelers.
This division is one of the notoriously known where they
just beat each other up in every game possible. Like
every division is like that, but I would say the
AFC North and specific is known to just beat each
other up. Joe Flacco, it was his first game against

(27:15):
a really good Packers defense, like actually kept them in it.
Like I'm not. The Steelers defense is really good. I'm
not gonna sit there and you know, top crap on
the Steelers defense. I'm just saying, it's a divisional game.
Anything can happen. It's a five and a half point spread.
I'm going to take the chances on the Bengals on
the spread. At least.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
I like the spread. I like in the and there's
divisional games when it's more than three three and a
half points. I do like taking the spread on there.
Just yet, like you said, you never know what's going
to happen, even taking off the Jets game for the Steelers, though,
they're like middle of the pack as far as defense,
they're sixteenth against quarterbacks, fourteenth running backs, twentieth against wide receivers,
thirty second against tight end. And what if I told

(27:52):
you Mike get sick he's not playing in this game.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Does that get your motiv isn't it? Now? There's Tanner Hudson.
I bet I bet you ten he scores a one
yard touchdown on one cat anytime. I bet I would
put Moneys playing anytime touchdown.

Speaker 1 (28:08):
You got what Drew sample here too? Gosh names yeah,
oh yeah, I mean fan last week'saw four targets. I
wrote them up in my tight End article. Look, it's
for streamers, it's for when you're looking deep. It's crazy.
I just wanted to bring it up. Don't freaking play
him dfs them if you're gonna do anything. Folks went
out Thursday out. Uh so let's talk about the players

(28:28):
we can't Thursday out super Flex. I guess the quarterbacks.
Flaco's got one of the easy schedules going forward. So
when super flex, I am skeptical to Adam when I
only have two quarterbacks on my team, pretty or Flacco
like rest of season or just this week, just this week,

(28:49):
I think it's gonna because it's a Thursday. I think
I'm in a Thursday. Yeah. Well, at they're playing the Falcons.
Falcons do look pretty nasty.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Later, I know they're Deven's actually really got to I
just picked them up in a couple of leagues to stream.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
So if I'm a dog, I'd play Falco, Falco Flacco.
If I'm a dog, I'll play Flacco. If I'm somewhat close.
It feels just getting a little too cute, benched Bertie. Yeah, okay,
running backs here, we've got Jalen Warren on one side,
can't game. Moll attached to his hip as well, and
then almost said Chris Brown, Chase Brown, No, I was

(29:20):
gonna beat me overhead with that one. Noh. Jalen Warren,
I like, as a start this week, I think you
can put him out there. I don't think a lot
of people have choices to bench him. But what are
your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah, I mean you have we're running thin here. So
James Cook's out this week, so is Derrick Henry. So
that's two big monsters you had on your team. You
probably have a Jalen Warren. You probably have if you
have Chase Brown and James Cook or Derrick Henry. You're
probably crying right now. But I would say, yeah, you're
probably shooting Jalen Warren. I actually don't mind. Then. Kennev Gainwell,

(29:55):
for whatever reason, is getting a ton of run and
he's been productive and it's stupid, it doesn't make sense,
and he's one of those guys where are like, can
you tell me I might start Kenneth gain Well. I
can't look at you sideways because he's actually not been bad.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
He's got six sketches and back to back games. He
has saved me in my last.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
Two and so what I'm saying, man, it's weird.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
He saved me too of the last three weeks in
a chopped the league, so he is on a roster
for me. But I mean Jayleen Warren last week coming
off the injury, coming off the by eleven Carrious fifty
two yards? Who catches eleven yards? Nothing sexy, but it's points.
And this is like the Bengals thirty second against the
running back. They're giving up thirty over thirty points to
the running back position.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
Other That's why I'm okay with starting either or because
of how bad the Bengals defense.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
You might get a fifteen to fifteen game from both
of them, and that's that's money in fantasy right there.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
They're also thirty second against tight end, So we might
see Darnel Washington score a touchdown, John new Smith score
a touchdown.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
Who's the fourth tight end? Yeah, it's the Savage Darnella
is it? Darnell Savage might correct on that one.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Oh my god, they don't even have all four on.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
It's John's pat from arm Youth. It's then it's done,
It's Washington, and then it was Savage right, yeah, yeah, complete,
because there was a joke on Twitter. I saw it
by that. You see the tight end they got caught
the touchdown, and they listed all of them and then
it was last one.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
They got Connor Hayward as well. Yeah, who knows he
caught the touchdown last week. Connor Hayward one catch and
a touchdown. Yeah, so they've got four guys. Literally they
had it in reverse order from the actual depth chart
of who did best in Fantasy. I'm glad we've avoided
Friar Youth and John new Smith this year. It's yeah roady, Yeah,

(31:34):
So the end of the day, they really could disappoint
you if they really want to. But the Spanngals defense,
it's bad. They're gonna let up some points. As far
as the wide receivers go, We've got dk Metcalf, we
have Jamar Chase, We've got T Higgins. I don't really
want to play T Higgins.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
What did he do last week? What was the stat
line at the end of the week.

Speaker 1 (31:52):
He actually had me quite a bit of money. I
laddered his uh five or sixty two.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
I'm okay with starting T Higgins. It's it is an
upgrade over why am I trying to Jake Browning, and
it's a huge upgrade over Jake Browning. Yeah, I guess
I lean towards it.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
And let's play a little game, T Higgins, or let's
start off deep Ted Johnson, T Higgins.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
If it was if you just take out the Thursday
game and you play them at the same time, at
the same start time, you're gonna you're gonna say, T Higgins.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
I was gonna say, Hollywood. But we got Rushy Rice back.
We're gonna have a whole episode tomorrow. It's literally an hour.
It's just Rashie Rice talk. Folks. We're skipping the start episode.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Did you did you see that? There's not gonna They're
not gonna slow roll them in. He said, he's in
a full workload.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
I put a parlay on first touchdown and two touchdowns
on him.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
I was so excited to slide in all my Dynasty leagues,
just like start Start. I was like, yes, this is
so great.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
Oh yeah, yeah. The blood has moved to the wrong
part of my body today.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
It's just often off topics of did you see like
the Yahoo put out The teams that own Rashi right
are basically like two and four or less like less wins.

Speaker 1 (33:04):
Of the Yahoo teams that have Rashie Rice are losing records.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
I will say, in my big money leagues, I don't
there's only one guy that's three and three, but he
was three and oh and traded for Rice and trade
away a ton of pieces because he feels like he
was able to like sneak one win. But now he's
three and three, but he's and he's now tied in
his division, which is hilarious. But yeah, no, I a
lot of Rice owners are hurting because you took him
at that like flex spot where you're just like I

(33:31):
can just wait, I can hold off and you know,
hopefully get something, and it just has them panned out
for you.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
Yeah, And there's stubborn some of bitch and trade him up.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
I mean, trying to so hard to get Rashie Rice
in every league possible. Like I offered Ken Walker for
Rashie Rice in one league and he said no, I was.
I was doing everything my power to trade for him.
Nothing happened. I'm so upset.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Yeah, my home league gets a keeper league too, so
my buddy got him in the NINETI He's like, you're
not getting them for me, he goes, I'll go down.
I'll go down this year, but I'm gonna have him
next year in the ninth rounds. No, you're not getting
them from me. Yeah, So that's that's rough. Back to
the T Higgins or Jerry Judy, Jerry Judy.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
I think it's just because of the Dolphin.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
It's only the matchup. It's like, folks, I don't I
don't know if y'all realize how bad the Dolphins are,
Like it's historically bad, like one of the worst teams
in the like two thousands. Like when you go back,
it's it's pretty pretty awesome for fantasy of We're being
honest trying to pull the number up here, but I
can't find it in times. We're just gonna move on.
We're gonna move on. T Higgins or Sterling Shepherd, T

(34:36):
Higgins all right, all right, T Higgins or Kendrick Bourne.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
Ricky Piersall's back, and George Kittle might be back if
they're If both those players are back, i'm gonna say
T Higgins.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
If one of them.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
If George Kittle's back, I'll say I'll say T Higgins
if if Ricky Piersall's back.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
But George isn't. I'll say Kendrick last one. T hit No,
I got two more. Both guys are the same game though,
So T Higgins rank these players, Jordan Addison, Devanta Smith,
T Higgins.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
That's mean because they Devanta Smith and Jordan Adison play
each other. Is JJ starting?

Speaker 1 (35:18):
It sounds like he's not starting, okay.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Then Jordan Addison's at the bottom, So yeah, kot.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
I guess wants him to have a full week's practice,
and I don't think it's gonna happen. And they play
Thursday next week, so I don't know if it's gonna
happen next time. This is gross.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
This is honestly one of the grossest ones. I Devanta
t and then Jordan Addison.

Speaker 1 (35:35):
Should we throw Jamison Williams in there too, just to
really make it n.

Speaker 2 (35:38):
I would probably put Jamison Williams ahead of all those
guys if I had I actually like more Jamison Williams
more so. God, he's just inconsistently. They're all those guys
we just said are very inconsistent.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
In the number two.

Speaker 2 (35:51):
Either get you one hundred yards and two touchdowns or
three receptions for twenty seven yards and you are punching air.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Because you started the Yeah, they all they've all got
pretty elite wide receivers next to them, so it's kind
of hard for them to truly break out there. I
guess at tight ends we touched on them, but folks
were not playing them. We're defessing them, and that's it. Yeah, sweet,
that's all we got for the Thursday night game, folks.
I guess before we get out of here, is there

(36:18):
are there any games that you're really excited for, Anyones
you're really targeting going into the weekend?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Anyones that I'm really targeting. I mean, I pick the
Chiefs defense in like every league I could possibly try to. Besides,
if it did that to the Falcons, I wouldn't say
there's a game that I'm like super excited about.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
Commanders and Cowboys. Highest one of the week fifty four
and a half is the over.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
Under Javonte Williams is going to disappoint you again?

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Does it feel trappy?

Speaker 2 (36:47):
No? I feel like the disappointing loss for the Commanders
makes it not trappy anymore.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
And the Cowboys the Cowboys are Panthers. Last week, Yeah,
Detroit and Tampa, that one look good at fifty two
and a half. Then we're dropping down to the Chargers
Indy at forty eight and a half. That one looks
like it could be a fun game as well.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
I'll be there. What yeah, I'll be there.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
So yeah, last game he went to though it didn't
do too well for us.

Speaker 2 (37:13):
So can you I don't watch any Mitchell drop a
touchdown right before the end zone?

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Can you leave it a half time for me?

Speaker 2 (37:18):
No? I am zero and four in Colts games, so
you know it's funny. My best friend that I went with,
My best friend that I went with, he's a Rams fan.
He's a diehard Rams fan, but his record's worse than mine.
You know, he's two and fifteen going to Rams games.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
He's been going to him for twenty years.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
He's been going to him forever. But he's like, he's
also seen him during bad times, but he's all seen
him during good times. And they've also not won. And
I was like, you guys are gonna get the one day.
I haven't seen the Colts win, so I'm hoping like
I can see the first three Colts win live.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
My first sever Colts game was it was actually bad.
They played the Panthers thirty one to seven. Peyton even
played the fourth quarter, so I was actually disappointed that
they won just the way they did. And then I
think it was like five straight losses from me Colts
game I even saw. I saw Peyton play for the
Broncos against the Raiders his Super Bowl year with them,
when he was all banged up, Bob tickets, he was good.
I had to go watch Oswalder freaking lose to the

(38:09):
Raiders and my wife's Raiders fan, so that was just
not fun at all.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yeah. I saw Andrew Luck on Monday Night football against
the Chargers the last time at Qualcom Stadium, not throw
for a touchdown. It was nine to seventeen or something
like that, and like game super fun. Look, you should
get it like a partial refund. If the team doesn't win,
it's just.

Speaker 1 (38:29):
Oh my gosh, I'm hoping they win, absolutely fingers crossed.
They are on top of the AFC right now, folks.
We don't get to do this a lot over the
last six years, so yes, give us a.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Lot of years.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Since that retirement. Ye awesome. Alrighty man, let's get out

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
