Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yo, what's happening everybody? We're back with another episode of
Too Much Fantasy Football. It's Brian and Brennan and we're
diving into props, game picks and survivor picks. How you
doing today, man.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I'm trying to pay my commissioner in my Elminar league
to see how much money would cost to take out
Bo Nicks from my starting lineup. Light checking.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
You're not trying, it's odd, Do not care?
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I will. I offered a hundred bucks. See who takes it?
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (00:41):
That was horrible, horrible.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Game last night, ten to seven. Like this is what
we talked about. How the Broncos are a phony team.
They're eight and two. They won ten to seven against
the Raiders at home? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
I will say, like it's a divisional game, because like
there's been times when we were really good and the
Jacksonville Jaguars gave us a run for arm money. So
like I will say that, but like I will say
this though, like Bo Nicks doesn't look good. No, like
he just doesn't like he is playing like he did
in college. It's all within the first ten yards. Anything
over that. It's kind of scary. He's afraid to throw
(01:16):
the deep ball unless the guy's got to step on
the on the dB. And when he does the deep ball,
it's it's a moon it's lily, a moonshot. It's not
even like a it's got some air and zip on it.
I understand there was win last night. It was twenty
miles an hour, but I guess when it's in Denver,
it's not that bad because it's thin. Yeah, Yanky Weather
Channel for explaining that fun of me. It's just I
(01:39):
had just had a tough time watching that game, being like, man,
if Denver just had a competent quarterback, they would be
so goddamn scary.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Yeah, I mean going back through their schedule. You know
they beat the Titans, Oh cool. You know they lost
to Indian the Chargers, they beat the Bengals, no big deal.
They beat the Eagles twenty one to seventeen. Eagles haven't
looked like the roster that we see in front of
them this year. They beat the Jets, the Giants, the Cowboys,
the Texans, the Texans without C. J. Shroud and another Raiders.
(02:10):
So like eight and two. That's awesome. It's great for seeding,
it's great for them going to the division.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
You're beating the teams you're supposed to.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Yeah, you know, they're about to play the Chiefs and
then they play the Packers, Chiefs again, the Chargers, but
like the rest of the schedule is kind of cake.
They play the Raiders again, they play the Jacksonville You know,
that seems like an easily winnable game. Commanders. Without Jayden Daniels,
they're getting a kkewalk to the playoffs, and I could
see them being first run exit if they don't get
that die.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I could see them being the first seed and then
when they have to play like a legit team, like
after the seeding's over, because like as a season ends,
I don't think the Chiefs are in the playoffs, but
like I would assume they make it, the Bills make it.
I think the Ravens somehow make it in You're gonna
be facing one of these teams, and like if bo
Nicks can't score more than two touchdowns, like it's gonna
(02:56):
be a rough day for you.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
It's it's fun and dandy that he comes out and
like breaks out in the fourth quarter, and that's when
it's fun. I don't know if you can wait to
the fourth quarter in the playoffs to start scoring points, man,
you they have to figure out how to be a
functional offense in the first three quarters.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I agree, And JK.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Dobbins pops up with a foot injury, so I.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Mean getting his second opinion is always good too. That's a.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
But Yeah. Bonnicks one hundred and fifty yards through the air,
negative two on the ground. Gino Smith did Gino Smith
things gent kind of saved his day with the touchdown.
Also caught three passes. On the other end, Harvey, you know,
didn't get a big play, so he was a disappointment
for anybody who shoved him in there. Jacob Dobbins not bad,
seventy seven on the ground, seven through the air, decent
enough day.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Courtland Sutton been Yeah, it's I'm worried. I'm like, now
I'm on the official. This is just bad. I don't
know what to do with him.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yeah, Courtland Sutton three for four twenty four yards. Troy
Franklin yet again out targeting him five for nine forty
yards and a touchdown, Like overdoubled his target.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
It's just the dunk and dunk routs though it's not
even like because the catches that Sutton had, or there's
normal routes like you know, little ten yard out route
everything else like that, but like all of Franklin's have
just been like.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Crosses over the middle or anything something similar to that extent.
It's just like this is just annoying.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
It's it's in part because the deep ball, every time
they try to throw it to Franklin. Bo Knicks has
been so inaccurate. His passes to Franklin this year have
been bottom of the barrel, like it is. They won't
be able to get it done if they can't threaten
the deep ball at all, you know, because they're just
gonna load the box. Running game won't go anywhere. And yeah,
like you said, it's gonna be dnk and dunkin Evan
Ingram's gonna walk away with five targets, two catches and
(04:37):
twelve yards.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
This is a team that if like they are stuck
with bo Nicks, I think they're gonna go bit heavily
on Rico Daudle next year and just solidify that run game.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Yeah, that's they're gonna need to. They're just gonna have
to ground and pound the entire time. Let that defense
do what it does because right now they don't even
have Patrick's or tan, so that'll also beef up the
defense once they get him.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Exactly.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yeah, I mean rock Powers disappointed many managers negative four
yards rushing, only one catch for thirty one yards after
his big performance last week? Why why did I have
to play him in multiple leagues last week? But this
week I'm sitting there watching it just yah know.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah. It was as someone who owned him last week,
I was like, all right, I just if you can
just get double digit points, this is what I've been
hoping for it Broncos Stevens. Is that good?
Speaker 1 (05:22):
It's that good? Gross. Let's talk about something more, a
little bit more unlifting. Let's talk about some props here, folks.
Last week, probably one of my worser weeks came out
five and three. Brendan came in five and two, So
not I mean ten and five. That's not bad on
the week. You know, that's that's a winning record there,
that's positive money. Four over sixty percent. We're happy and
we were well over it, you know, six point six
(05:44):
percent starting off this week, folks, I'm doing something I
don't typically do. Maybe this is me playing scared because
of the last week. But I'm taking unders in nearly
half of my props. But don't worry, I have tons
of props here loaded up. I'm gonna start off the
Rashaun White. We got. Bucky Irving is out of this game.
I still think they're gonna run into problems. I think
(06:05):
they're gonna struggle to run the ball. I'm taking his
under at forty three and a half rushing yards.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yeah, I think because they didn't play last week and
everyone's kind of forgotten, like they've been kind of a
stinker of an offense. It's just been really tough for
them to move the ball. Maybe Iguka being fully healthy
with a hamstring it might help. But I like the
end of though for a shot of White.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
Patriots one of the best defenses out there. I believe
they actually are the best against running backs right now.
They've been I mean, Browns, nothing to take away from them,
but over the last five games, New England is number
one against rushing allowing eleven yards to the position or
eleven points to the position.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Fair enough. My first pick is you can say it's biased,
but it's honestly not. Just because of the news that
came out, Colts are gonna be without DeForest Buckner for
a minimum of four weeks, and he is a big
part of the defense. The Jeon rushing line is at
sixty seven. It's because the last three games have been forty,
twenty five and forty six, which is understandable. I expect
(07:12):
I expect them to find him again. I expect him
to be the focal point of the offense in this game,
because again they just add a soft card to the
outside covers Updrake London, You're gonna have to feed Bejeon.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Yeah. I like that. It's upsetting, it's going against the boys,
but that's fine. It's fine. We can still win with
the Bijeon going going to ham next one, I'm taking
I'm taking Hunter Henry. I'm staying in that same game
with the the Bucks and the Patriots. I'm taking his
over at thirty two and a half yards. Booty is
out for this game. He soaks quite a bit of
the yard. So I like Hunter Henry here. He has
(07:43):
these boom and bus games every now and then he
comes through and I just got that gut feeling, that
tight end feeling. Give me is over at thirty two
and a half.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Man, it just seems like it's like a lot of
these lines. Obviously, it's just like they're flirting with it,
and I just feel like this is one of those
where it's just like you're gonna be text me saying
he got thirty one or he got It's just I
don't have a read on this, but if you had
a guess, I guess. With Kasehan Boody being out, I
think they have to do feature somebody else and Henner
Henry I feel like fills that role.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Yeah, who you got next?
Speaker 2 (08:16):
My next one? It's I talked to you about this before.
He's kind of hit this almost every game, it feels,
except for two of them then he got injured. Obviously
it's Lar Jackson over thirty eight and a half rushing line.
We were talking about this, like the Vikings aren't going
to not blitz Lamar Jackson. I expect Lamar to get sacked,
but I also expect Lamar to just be able to
(08:37):
get away from a couple of them and he's just
going to take off for about fifteen yards chunk chains
and then they have designed runs for him. I expect
him to be like right around like forty five. I
expected to be like a Jackson Dart line like around
like fifty was like I thought, and I was like,
I'll go to this one.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah, this is what his line was right around here
last week, and I took it quite a few times.
Didn't hit it. But when you throw four touchdowns like that,
you kind of don't need him. This guy's gonna get
out of the pocket. He's gonna move, He's back healthy.
I love this line. Next one I'm taking is Cedric
Tillman going to take his under twenty eight and a
half yards. He's just coming back off IR, and unfortunately
he doesn't have the same quarterback he left when he
(09:16):
went on IR. It is Dylan Gabriel out there. You know,
I've got enough enough that I can lean into the
Browns here later on when we do our picks. But
right here, Tilman first came back. Let me take the under.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
This one kind of hurts because I'm a big Tillman guy,
but I can also just be seeing it as it's
it's the Browns again. It's Dylan Gabriel. We don't know
what he's gonna be like so and he's taking the under.
Is the better bet? And which is? That's the trend
you're going with right now, so I respect it.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
Let me throw up my next under. Then just double
dip in here. I've got Saquon Barkley as well. You
tried this one what last week, two weeks ago?
Speaker 2 (09:57):
This one again, don't be bad. Fifty touchdown on the
I know, I know that was.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
The biggest issue. Was like, all it takes is one,
All it takes is one, But I'm taking take one.
Barkley under seventy seven and a half yards. Packers are
great against the run. They are going to focus on
making sure they shut him down. He hasn't been exactly explosive.
Those big yard runs haven't been They've been few and
far between at least, so I'm gonna sweat it out.
Sweat it out Monday night, seventy seven and a half.
Speaker 2 (10:23):
You have fun with that, brother, I go subset in
the first At least at least think a mine was
already over after the first quarter, so at least I
didn't have to like sweat that out. I was like, oh,
this one's ruined, So my next one is a fun one.
It's I always try to pick a fun player to
root for, who's like in the top end of the fantasy.
It's Devon a chan over thirty yards receiving, and I
(10:46):
was thinking to myself, like, he's got to hit this
so many times, Brian, and do you want to get
so many times? He's hit that over three times, three
times exactly thirty and thirty nine. Other than that, it's
been in twenty twenty nine, two yards, twenty two, sixteen,
twenty four. Again in theory, it just sounds like they're
(11:09):
gonna be down a lot and they're gonna have to
keep passing the ball. They can't the band of the
run game. And he's very vocal in that. He hit
it last week Aainst. Baltimore when they were down by
multiple touchdowns. I expected to be around the same dud.
Speaker 1 (11:22):
Funny enough, you know it hasn't been hitting those huge
yardage lines, but he has more receiving touchdowns and rushing
touchdowns this year.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
It just makes sense.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
It's the Dolphins. There you go this one. You know,
Parker Washington, he is no longer sitting at fifteen and
a half yards. I cannot just sit there and continue
to pluck that one out. But I'm gonna take this one.
It's a low line. It's a weird one, but I
smell brisket cooking. He likes his old guys, his fellow
old ones. So I'm gonna take Zay Jones. Thirteen and
a half yards, gonna be one catch, that's all. It's
(11:52):
gonna take what we've seen him favors a Jones in
this offense a bit. I imagine we're gonna get quite
a bit of scoring or not scoring. But you know
they're gonna have to move the ball. They're gonna have
to throw a bit against the Seahawks. So thirteen and
a half, we needed one catch, yep.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
One catch. Watching it be like twelve yards and that's
his own catch.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
I've had, like I need to go back and look
at it, but I guarantee you fifty percent of my
missues this year have been like on the hook of
like one to three yards. It's been so miserable.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yeah, I've gotten a few texts of just saying I
had it at twenty two and a half. He got
twenty one.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Of course he did.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
I feel the pain. So now this one, I like
this one a lot. So for me, again, this is
a player that's just let me give you the trend
here where he's at. It's the Pittsburgh game was anomaly.
I of j Justin Field's under one sixty seven and
a half. So when he's played good defenses, he struggled.
(12:46):
But when he's played bad defenses, he's actually on the ball.
Cleveland is a good defense. So against Denver and Carolina combined,
he had ninety one passing yards and yeah, so and
he's lines at once seven. Cleveland had not trade away
anybody valuable on that defensive side. They've kept it pretty
much intact. I expect Justin I expect this Jets defense
(13:10):
or Jets team and offense to just struggle mightily.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
It's so hard to take under one sixty seven.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Just like when you look at a quarterbacks quarterback standpoint. Yeah,
you're just like, oh, what like that's easy over No.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
But yeah, the fact that he has three games combined
that are under ninety yards one hundred yards, it's absolutely insane,
absolutely insane. Love this pick. I think that the Jets
are still going to struggle mightly against the kids, the
Browns dog bound. How could I not take this next line?
How could I not? How could they set it so low?
I I've got a ladder. I've got a ladder with
(13:44):
this player. I've got them all the way up to
eighty or ninety yards, I don't remember. But his line
sitting at thirty three and a half, and do the
Eagles struggle against the outside for him or receivers a
one hundred, We're taking Christian Watson over thirty three and
a half yards.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
I saw this and I was just like, that's just
one catch from him, So he has two catches, that's it.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
So yeah, he had a fifty one yarder last week.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yeah, so this is a good bet. I'll be very
shocked out of like all the ones you've there's another one.
You have him mad yet that I think this one
and the other one are pretty safe bets. I like
this one of the most nice.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
Give me your next one.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
My next one is a guy who there's just so
many questions of who the real wide receiver one is,
but I'm gonna go with it. It's this guy, Parker
Washington over forty five and a half rush receiving yards
last week. Let's just go back to two weeks and
when they played against the Rams, he had fifty two
yards and then when Brian Thomas went out of the
game again, he had ninety yards. I know Jacoe Myers
(14:42):
is in the game. I know they're playing Houston, but
I believe he is the I believe he is the
main option. He knows the playbook right now, He's gonna
be on the field a ton forty five yards. He
can get that in a few dink it dunk passes
that I like the over on this one.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
He's got a handful of games where he was not
being featured but well involved, and that was with the
other two guys out there, so both of them are missing.
It is against Houston, so that one's rough. It's harder
for me, but forty five and a half yard seems
very doable for Parker Washington.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah, the other games where he's hit this over was
in Sincy and then other than that he was just
kind of like the third option. But now with Travis
Hunter out and I think he's I would expect him
to be the real wide receiver one until Jacobe kind
of figures it out, which who knows how that would be.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Diamie Brown also out of this game with a concussion,
so it's like him newly acquired Jacobe Meers, Tim Patrick,
you know, probably gonna take his whatever his longest reception
is I might take that one just because Tim Patrick
does these weird things. But Parker Washington love the call.
I'm gonna go pick on the Panthers are a little
bit here taking another under. I really don't know what
(15:47):
the situation now. This is kind of finicky just because Ted.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, I was kind of surprised you did this. I
was like, man, because it it comes the game time
and he's out, like he's gonna be the guy.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Yeah, so that's what I'm a little I do have.
So I've got to Xavier to get under thirty three
and a half yards. I haven't really punched this one
on a lot of my bets yet just because I'm
waiting for more news on Tet, But if Ted's plays,
I'm taking a good under one hundred percent. Sobrce Young
throwing the ball this divisional game, they're going to run,
run and run some more.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Fair enough. Yeah, No, this one, this one scares me
just because we just don't know Ted's status. So yeah,
my next one, it's just been a guy who's been
a fantasy nightmare to own because he's had more bus
games and he's had good games. Obviously, last week was
a good one. But it's Jamison Williams under three and
a half receptions. He's hit this only three times this year,
(16:41):
hit it last week again they're playing Washington. I again,
Detroit's shown no mercy they call I just call him
captain Sano. Like it's just at this point, like you
just don't care. He might have three receptions for eighty
yards and a touchdown. I wouldn't be surprised, but yet,
like if he got over that, I kind of would
be the mean they're just passing a ten Jamior Gibbs
(17:02):
is there. They definitely want to run the ball. His
line was at seventy yards rushing. Dave Montgomery's is not
far behind it, like forty five. I think I expect
the game to be the same. Almon Ra's receptions thre
at seven and a half. I just think James and
Williams is the outliner in this game. They just said
they wanted to feature their rookie wide receiver Tesla.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah, and you know he big touch touchdown fours down there.
So if he goes out there and catches a big touchdown,
drives over, you know, it absolutely kills what Jamo could
be doing. So I like this. I I'm kind of
surprised this at three and a half. He feels more
like a two and a half line, So I think
that's definitely no.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
I get the three and a half. I saw two
and a half. I'd slap it too. I think i'd
slap the over. I think three and a half is properly.
I just think it's just really dicey.
Speaker 1 (17:46):
My next one, it feels funky because the books have
not moved it yet. I'm looking at Kyle Manungui here
we have word that DeAndre Swift didn't practice again Friday.
Makes me feel like it should it all just be
my young guy fifty four and a half ards what
his line's at. I love the over, especially if DeAndre
Swift is out. It feels trappy for whatever reason. I
(18:07):
guess it just feels too easy, Like why haven't they
moved the line. Maybe they know something, but fifty four
and a half seems like something he can do against
this defense that they give up a lot of yards,
a lot of points.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, he DeAndre Swift did and practice Freddy Groin in
personal reasons. So let's just it's one of those things
where you're just not sure what's going on and I
like this one. Mnungui was able to run the ball.
The only thing that was The Giants front seven is
really good. I don't know how they've been against the
running backs so this year, like I can just say names.
(18:38):
I know that Bobby o'carake, their front four is elite,
probably one of the best in the game.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
It's just they're actually thirty first against the running back
on the season.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Yeah, crazy position. Yeah Meyer, Brian Dable and the Sun
for defensive coordinator. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Forty seven points last week to San Francisco, forty eight
to Philly, the week before eighteen to Denver. Yeah, it's
they've got some big ones. Twenty eight points to the Chargers,
thirty points to Dallas, twenty three to Washington.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
But yeah, no, it's a safe bet. Then this is
a really good to go with. It's just crazy because
I think the Giants front seven, I'm like, damn, they're
really good players and now they're terrible.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
So we're gonna sweat it.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Yeah, no kidding, I don't think it'll be sweating too much.
My one. Then I'm gonna bet Sunday Night football game.
It's kaman of it all. Under fifty two and a
half rushing. He's I get it. He's had two games
over one hundred yards, but that was with Joe Alt
playing or not Joe All. Sorry. The Miami game he
didn't have Jewel, so Minnesota came back and he rushed
for one hundred seventeen on the Thursday night game was crazy.
But against Indy he had twenty yards, and then against
(19:42):
Tennessee when Joe All went out against the Titans, he
only at thirty. Steelers have a good defense. I just
have a hard time seeing them move the ball. I
have a hard time seeing get through the gaps of
jt struggled. I don't see how common of it all
is any better, and especially with third string offensive tackles.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Herbert's line is I don't know why I didn't attack that.
We have been quite a bit.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
I didn't even think about that. I just saw commanding
but all fifteen and a half and I said, oh boy,
that's a lot.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Give me that under Well, let me take another guy
in the same game. I'm gonna go on the other
side of the ball, and I'm gonna take an over
because I just I need to. I need more overs
than unders for uh, just for my personal health. I'm
gonna take game well, I'm gonna take game well over
sixteen and a half yards, it's not much. He only
needs a couple of plays typically, and they usually get
him involved. They gotta spell Warren a little bit. So
(20:30):
as long as the Chargers aren't just giving up just
gashing plays to Tyler or not Tyler Warren to uh
Jalen Warren, I think we're gonna get Kinnick Gamewell out there.
And we've seen him effective, so sixteen and a half
I think it's an easy crush.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah. I think it's a good bet too, just because
he is using that offense and he does get touches
and he gets it. I feel like he's in the
goal line near the goal line rushing too. For some
whatever reason. I could be wrong on that one, though.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Yeah, I need to go back and check that team's
been all of it. It's Arthur Smith. It's so hard.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Yeah, that's another reason it's Arthur Smith. Because I was
looking the tight end props to you for that game.
I was like, fat frighten me, it's like only an
eighteen and a half receiving yards or like it was twenty,
and I was just like I want to bet this
so bad, but then I don't.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
It's gonna be a John New game because it was
Pat last week in Washington the week. But yeah, it's wild.
Heath works out there, all right. Next up, we're gonna
go to our game picks. We're gonna pick up We
each have three games that we're picking Parlan and if
we if we feel so inclined, my first one, I
need to get it out of here with this banded
off so we can quit talking about it. Taking the
Browns minus two against the Jets.
Speaker 2 (21:34):
Just such a gross gig it is.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
But I just feel like the Browns are gonna be
so overwhelming to the Jets, and just that defense is
so good. This could be in six to nine game,
but that's uh, it's more than two points.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Six to ten with Chuckkins with a rushing touchdown.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
There we go, there we it's good Judkins.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
In the end, I generally feel like this, what's the
end of this one? Like thirty seven and a half.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Thirty seven and a half.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
It should be lower. I feel like, honestly, it's kind
of gross. No, I think the brown is the better
team just because of the defense. And that's where I'm
at with that, What did they do? What did you do?
Look at your first pick? Okay, to be fair though,
it's they're in Europe and these games are always weird,
(22:19):
and the fact that they're giving another team that I
feel like is if I try to do like spreads
in my head, I figure the Colts would be like
three and a half favorites. They said they're six and
a half. That's I think. I think we'll win this game.
I just think Atlanta covers by six and a half.
I think we could win by a field goal.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
It's the sauce bump. Man.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
I don't know the sauce bump, but it's something they hate.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
They're in Berlin, they're not in London, so Drake might
be up against it in this one.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
We are one to know in Berlin. If I'm not mistaken,
let's go.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
I don't I don't hate it. It's so hard for me,
like feeling good about the Colts this year. It's it's
so hard not to have like some bias that it
comes floating in or just like a me thinking there's
a bias and then like over correcting because yeah, so
I'm just gonna enjoy it. I'll be up nine o'clock,
little beer and beer in pancakes.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Six thirty gross six.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
Yeah, I'm going to go. I'm gonna go pick on
the Commanders. I really don't get why it's this close
on its I mean, it's eight and a half points.
But Lions got embarrassed last week. It wasn't a terrible
showing form. But Dan Campbell is a pride. Like you
talk about the pride in the lines, you know, this
is this is a guy who won't take kindly to it,
(23:32):
and he is going to run up the score if
they get the opportunity. So Detroit's got an eight and
a half point line, I'm taking that. I think they
should absolutely dominate with no Jade Daniels especially.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Yeah. Do you think there's a little bit of Ndetta
from the playoff game last year to you when Cammnders
just couldn't stop scoring on him?
Speaker 1 (23:50):
I imagine, so yeah, this this stopped him quickly. We
did not get the fun of the lines going all
the way through like we did the year before. So
I I'm sure I'm sure or some feelings in this way.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
I know they don't say they like, oh, there's no
there's no vengeance I'm sure some of those guys would
love to just you know, stomp, stomp. I'm pretty good
just to feel good about their loss.
Speaker 1 (24:09):
So Bill Belichick a man of very few words, and
you would never guess it. But like we've seen him,
you know, even him like, no, no, we're just gonna we're
gonna win the game. No, dude, you would freaking curb
stomp people all the time. You would put the like
teams down in the dirt. Coaches do this too. It's
one hundred.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
No. I agree. My next pick, it's a divisional game.
It scares me. But as long as the as long
as Tyler Shuck is the quarterback, I actually feel pretty good.
It's the Panthers five and a half. Uh again Tyler.
If actually Rattler was playing, I would be scared to
put money on five and a half. But Shuck just
hasn't been good. They just lost an offensive weapon. They
(24:49):
just lost an alignment, which I don't know if that
was really much of a loss for the Saints because like,
if they're willing to trade away their former first round
pick for pennies, like, is that a loss?
Speaker 1 (24:58):
Right?
Speaker 2 (24:59):
I just think the the Panthers are gonna do what
they do. They're gonna get the ball to Reco Dubtle.
They have a really good defense and that's just how
they're gonna play football.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
And I think they can beat him by six. I
like this pick. This was one I was contemplating as well.
When you watch a quarterback play and you feel like yuck,
it's probably because his name is Tyler Shuck. It's just
how this works, you know. Yeah, we're gonna bring a
little Doctor Steuss in the fold.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
It's a gambling episode with my buddy had on his
pick sixes on DraftKings. He had a few, a lot
of them with Tyler Shuck one and a half passing touchdowns,
and he shared that to me. I was just like,
this one's the grossest one of them all. He comes
over and watch the games and we're sitting there watching
he just could just struggle to get another touchdown. I
was like, and I looked at him as like I
(25:42):
told you, and he's like it just felt so good
because like he was just like, Nope, he's gonna do
it because I just so gross. Tyler Shuck is jo
bad at football, man.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Yeah, every uh, every dog has their day. But I
don't think that it's gonna be Sunday for him. Yeah,
my last one is going to be I'm kind of
surprised they're dogs in this one. Patriots playing the Bucks
seven and two Patriots playing the six and two Bucks.
Buccaneers are favored by two and a half here. It
just makes the spread that much better for the payoffs better.
I'm leaning into the Patriots to uh to win the
(26:13):
take money line.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
They should. They should know why they're favored. I just
I Baker, like it's Baker. It should be like an
even game. It should be like both teams are basically
like it's a coin flip game. I feel like I
just don't think the Bucks are that much better because
just because they're at home. I feel like it's not
that close to I'm not like saying that it's not close.
It just it should just be fifty to fifty ye
(26:38):
and you're getting plus money of the Pats. I take
this too.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
I hope. I hate listening to Brady call games, but
he should be calling this game, right.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Yeah, he should. It's a what is it ten o'clock game?
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Though?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Is it a one o'clock?
Speaker 1 (26:50):
It's a one o'clock Okay, Well, my one o'clock.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Well, oh, it's your one o'clock, not my one o'clock.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Gay, this is an opening game.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yeah, okay, maybe that's why he always does like those
afternoon ones. So another one of team that I'm picking.
That's I feel like it should be close, so it
should be, you know, even, but it's not. The Eagles
are plus money. I'm gonna take the Eagles money line.
I don't know if the Packers are good. I don't
know if the Eagles are good. Honestly, I'm hoping this
year he shows the eight mile clip that motivates the steam.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah, Packers have given me that phony feel for a
lot of their games. Like, I think it's a well
built roster, but actually help I feel about both these teams.
Eagles an amazing roster. I think both these teams have
it built well. But there's just I means.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Though, I don't know if there are properly built. I'd
say the defensive side there because they have so many
first round picks on it. Yeah, but like you should
have made moves for a lobby, you should have made
moves for just anything to help the offensive out. Like
Josh Jacobs is a great addition for the contract he got.
It's just you, do they need an X factor that
(27:59):
if they get bounced and the playoffs like early exit,
they need to really look at themselves in the mirror
and being like, we need a true X factor. And
they just gave all their picks up for Micah, which
is the great thing to do, but again I don't
know what they need to figure out. They need to
figure out something to where they didn't need to get
a true X factor.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Yeah, they have a good, really good defense, and they
put their X factor over there versus having a subpar
offense and putting They got Matthew Golden though, it's okay,
they finally got a first round pick.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Are they even using him right? I don't know. I
watched the games and it's just like I don't know
if they're using him correctly or is he bad? I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Well, not that not that Watson and Golden are the
same player. They're very different players, but they have one
of their best assets is the same. It's the speed.
So it was kind of weird to me, so like,
all right, this means that Watson's gonna go, but they
kind of gave him an extra year to get the
ACL figured out they could end up extending him like
Romeo Dom's a piece. I feel like they should let
(28:56):
walk like he's not. He's somebody would want to have
on my team, but not paid on my team. So
it's a very bizarre situation. And Josh Jacobs, he's gonna
be twenty eight next year. It's not great.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
It has been in the contract. Yeah, it's just a
really weird situation. It's not a great deal though, because
they can just cut him if he sucks like this year,
and they don't owe him anything.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
So I think that's the issue is. I think he's
still going to perform well this year, probably keep him
back next year. But like that, Cliff's gonna start. It's
gonna edge up quick.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
But the guy they drafted to hopefully replace him has
been a cliff though too. Marshall Lloyd can't stay on
the field. I don't to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
I don't want to talk about it. It's crazy. Was
that him, Trey Benson and uh god, the guy from
the Saints towards ACL, Like all three of those guys
have had so much hype and Kendre Miller horrible running
back classes over the last few years. Outside of this
past year and just so much hope in the Dynasty
community for those and nope, nope, all right, finally we've
(29:57):
got our survivor picks. Yes, I know I didn't make it.
I'm not still in it, but I'm still playing because
otherwise I'll take my ball and go home. Picking the Panthers.
Picking the Panthers, I uh, the five and a half
might be a little screwy, but I'm pretty confident this team.
They're five and four, they're gonna get their six to win. Wild,
absolutely wild, But yeah, give me.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
The Panthers again. We were talking about this and I
was scared to pick them, but Brian's like, now I'll
pick them. Screw it. So I respect to Brian for
picking the Panthers. I would have picked them, but I
saw another team I haven't used yet, and they've been
a wagon man. They could again. They're in that team
that like, are you gonna be really surprised if they
hosted Lombard at the end of the year the way
(30:36):
they're playing right now, Like, no, it's the Seahawks. I
think the Seahawks are one of the best teams in
the NFL, and I just they're playing in Arizona. I
get it, Jacoby Brissett's been playing really well, but man,
that defense is so good and they have the best
receiver in the NFL.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
They give me kind of Commander vibes of last year,
just of that. Like, I think this team's better than
what the Commanders were like as far as the roster built.
But I could see them going all the way to
the NFC Championship. Are they necessarily the second best team
in the NFC? Maybe not, but they're, like we've said,
so many question marks on teams like the Rams, the Niners,
the Eagles, the Packers. I think they could win or
(31:11):
lose any single game in the playoffs, and you know,
all it takes is one good Sam Donold's deep ball game,
and I think that they could pull it off. So
very intrigued to see them go.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
If you had a pick right now, who's your favorite
NFC team to go all the way?
Speaker 1 (31:24):
I don't want to play this game because I don't know.
I guess the Rams, okay, just and I think I'm
I'm it's Sean McVay, I think is the big deciding
factor with there, because I see them all kind of
in the same breath the three NFC West teams. The
Eagles are in there, Packers might be just outside.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
Yeah what about you? Who's yours? If the Lions are home?
But they just lost the Vikings, Like it's just one
of those things where like their defense looks so good
now everyone's healthy, They're like they just had a bad game. Like,
I don't know, maybe and maybe Jered Gooff can't win
those big games, but I want to see the line.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Jared Goff and Daniel Jones seem like two very similar
the same person.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
They seem like the same person where they just fold
under pressure and I'm very scared to give him a bag.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Yeah, they can be great. They can be great when
the team and the coaching's good around him. What any
given day, they could drop it. And that's how I
feel about Jared Goff. I've never been excited about Jared Goff. Yeah, nice,
What else you got for the people?
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Camber responsibly?
Speaker 1 (32:29):
