Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yo, what's happening everybody? Week seven? Just about in the books.
It's too much fantasy football. Brian, It's Brennan and we've
got to recap this week seven. Madness. How you doing today?
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Man, I'm not the curse.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
You're not the curse. Look at that Indie pull it
off in so far one in one in that stadium.
This year, folks, this is going to turn into Colts
podcast here because we are on top of the NFL
and we're gonna make sure y'all hear it.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Yeah, I know. Honestly, it was a great experience, better
this time than last time, one for one for coltson
Chargers fans. That I was very impressive. That's wild.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Absolutely why we travel well? We travel well, yeah, or
the Chargers don't travel home very well either. One always
heard that rumor that their games are so like evenly matched.
As far as the fans.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
I do wish they stayed in San Diego, like I do.
I do like wish that because San Diego I used
to live there and it was such an awesome city.
Like it just sucks that you know, they only read
the stadium I guess for one dollar a year something
like that. Yeah, some some some super lucrative deal that
Spanos got from Kronky.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
So that's crazy. I mean, you gotta, you gotta take
those one there in front of you. Yeah, And that's
exactly what some of these players said this week. We
had some Absolutely, we had some pretty pretty awesome experiences
as far as some of the plays this week. And
it's not so great. Some duds, some stinkers. We're here
to go through all of them. But we'll go ahead
and start with the injuries. Let's get the ugly stuff
(01:47):
out of the way. Uh, Jade and daniels Man. I
was nervous the way he got up initially after that
hamstring poll. I thought it was something worse.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yeah, this one's uh. I don't know if it's just
like they're they're being very uh, nonchalant about it. They're
not really giving a whole lot right now. Your eyes
can be the uh the doctor if you want it.
So to speak for me, I think he's gonna miss
next week. I I think he might miss a couple
(02:17):
of weeks, to be honest.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
With you, Yeah, I'm kind of leaning everything I've heard.
Just like the rom Wings around there, it seems like
it could be like more of a two to three
week injury. It's not great, But at the same time,
if it's gonna happen to somebody, I don't mind it
happening to him because we have a pretty good pivot
option like Marcus Mariota seems to be close to eighty
percent of Jadan Daniels in most of his feelings. So
(02:39):
it could be worse. I think we'll be pretty good
going forward with that. But yeah, two to three weeks
without Jade. He's already missed some time this year. It sucks.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
When's there?
Speaker 1 (02:48):
That's exactly what I was just pulling up at out.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I was like, when is there by? Oh no, then
oh that'd be I are so now there's no way. Yeah,
city the injury.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, they got Kansas City next week, Seattle, Detroit, Miami,
and then going into that buys three and three, three
and three, yeah, no, four, three and four. I bet he.
I bet he's back by Detroit. I bet it's two
weeks to get him back there.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
In that third, they might have a losing record this year.
I do you think they very well could?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I think the Giants might be the number two team
or no, I guess the number Yeah, it's the damn defense.
I discount him so much, but like, yeah, cowboys are
three three and one right now, that's it's not terrible
compared to how bad the defense is playing. Windy dropped
the points that they drop. Yeah, sorry to keep up
the Cowboys right now. Next injury we have, it's uh,
(03:48):
Bryce Young. I haven't seen whether it's a high or
a low ankles tie high an all right, so that's
gonna be a few more weeks. This might be the
benching that we need for Bryce Young. Last year it came,
you know, he said out for a little bit. Red
rifle came out there, plot shot there a few times,
and then Young plugged right in. We're good to go.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
This Does it move anything for you? Right? Honestly, like
I few like I've viewed Tet the same.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I view Safer. I think Tet has a better floor
with the red rifle.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah, I get That's what I'm saying, though I'm saying like,
and in a sense it doesn't. I think it actually
just it might help them.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
So yeah, I don't. Just doesn't really change a whole
lot for me. If anything gives me optimism when Bryce
Young comes back, maybe he's better but probably not. Kendre Miller,
sad Day torn acl as soon as he finally gets
an opportunity in the NFL. He's staying healthy and that's
short lived.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
Really stuck for Alvin Kamara to continue to give me
single bitcha points.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Dude, it's been so bad and like it's hard to
be mad at Kamara. He's been crushing it for so long.
This was inevitable, like it was gonna happen at some time.
I was hoping it wasn't gonna be this year. But
just the way the teams owe me, the way the
team's operating kamaras, he's no longer that perennial RB one,
you know, he's more of that RB two for you now, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
A very very safe floor RB two.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Jalen Waddle to kind of a rough hit. Then again,
he does this just about every single game. The game
was completely out of hand to it got benched, so
it made sense that he was coming out. I haven't
really seen any reports and anything bad, so I'm hoping
we have.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
I saw he's healthy. I saw they just take him
out as of precaution because of the scoreboard.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
So yeah, smart, smart, it's the best decision. That team's
made all year.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
God, as of now, Mike McDaniel still got a job.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
He'll have the job for the year.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
You know, that's what they're gonna do. They're like, a, look,
you made this mess. You're gonna fucking sit in it now.
You're gonna sit there and stew and then ship and
watch this just kill your record as a head coach.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, probably.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Breis Hall doesn't look he left the game a couple
of times. It looked like came in and banged up
a bit. Quote from the coach should be fine, So
optimism you know that.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
You know, their head coach says a lot man like
he the Broncos game. He was saying like he should
have done the Hail Mary. They had a chance to
do a Hail Mary at the end of this first
half too, and they didn't do it. He said, we
should have. Like, this coach just seems to be like
having a brain farts. This is what the best way
I would put it with this team.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, and I'm trying to give him as much grace
as I can because it is the Jets. We had
very minimal expectations for this season. But he's not showing
me the few things that he needs to show me.
Despite like I can care less what the record of
the team looks like, but there's still a few things
I want to see, and I'm just not sure that
I've seen it so far from him.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
Let me ask you this. I went back and I
saw something from his time at Detroit. He never had
a good defense in Detroit, you know that, right?
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Tell me, well, I mean it seemed good.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
They were, They seemed good, but they were never ranked
like top ten in any of the years he he
was there. And you know, last year, I get it
they were depleted an injury, okay, but the years prior
to that, I think the highest they ever were was
like eighteen.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Interesting. If you want to say he was a culture guy,
you don't come in and bringing in that Dan Campbell system.
I don't know, I don't know. He doesn't give me
the same vibes that Dan Campbell has as far as
just you know, the accountability. It seems like it could
be there, but it's just not the not the same.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Yeah, because like he was talking about, he was really
upset when they asked him of Justin field Seris to
get bench last week. He was like kind of appalled,
and then this week like, yeah, we benched him. Yeah
it's done.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Like he's like, oh, that's a good idea, Maybe I
should Yeah, I mean, oh, in all, they signed him
to a two year contract. Justin field, I believe probably
a good ninety percent of us believed that either he
won't be on the team next year, he won't be
the starter next year. This team's playing for a top pick,
they're playing for a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
I think I'll be on the team next year. Back.
I think I'm very expensive money wise.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
But like he'd be a great tight end next year.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
Want to spend that money on? As a few Jets
fan Like, I'm not trying to be mean, but like
what else you can spend that money on?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah, I don't don't know.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
No.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Last one I've got here frustrating as hell. Darren Waller
peck injury. Looks like he's gonna be out probably about
a week is what I'm hearing. Uh usually with these uh,
these Titans can higher risk of them reinjuring just as
far as the blocking aspect of it. So I imagine
he's gonna be held out of this next game. It's
water on eight chan for the Dolphins, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
When does Quinny start?
Speaker 1 (08:33):
I it might be this week.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
No, it's too early. Come on, realistically, he got, he got,
he played this game. He looked awful, which, by the way,
it's just polaious. But honestly, like I'd probably say, like
week thirteen is what I'm gonna call my shot.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
They're we twelve?
Speaker 2 (08:50):
Is there because the two is contract and all those
I bet you there's something in there with health. If
he gets injured, they.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Can get out more pretty easily or like after.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Oh, is it really? I haven't seen anything of the
contract situation. I justn't know that he's kind of stuck
with the money. I know it's I know it's not
as much of a dead cap like Russell, but it's
it's it's it's still a pretty big hit.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah, it's a man. I want to say they can
get out this year. Next year. It's a huge out form.
But I don't think because I didn't think it was
crazy for them to draft a quarterback this past draft,
you know, I thought that was one of my bold
takes of the draft, was like maybe they take his replacement,
you know, high, but you know, maybe Tyler Shuck if
they could have got him in the early second or
(09:32):
something like that. I didn't think it was out of
the Roman possibilities.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
I thought Zach Wilson was the backup.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
He was, and he got he got downngraded to QB three.
I guess quinn Ewers has outplayed him.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
That's not good.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
Actually, that's not good. I was never a huge fan
of this kid at ut very hot, very cold.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
He's very popolar when he comes to playing football, like
there's games good. Yeah, it's not good.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
God, I love Rex Grosson, win me a chip, let's go.
Speaker 2 (10:08):
How old are you?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Jesus, hey, come on? That Super Bowl was great? Well,
actually the Super Bowl was probably one of the worst
ones ever. But we won.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
All right.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
You already talks boom, some booms, talk some explosions here
talk about these big players, well, none other than bo Nicks,
the highest scoring player on the season to date at
this point two hundred and seventy nine yards passing, forty
eight rushing yards, two rushing touchdowns, two passing touchdowns. This
was a hell of a game as far as the
(10:37):
Giants just beaten the crap at them, popping them in
the mouth left and right, and here comes Denver just
chugging away, proving that yes, they have the better team.
The Giants shouldn't have been in this game as long
as they had won it on the final field goal
there at the end of thirty three to thirty two.
But bo Nicks showed up this week for sure.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Yeah, I'm I mean they were down by a lotside
a score. I'm you know you're very happy if you
had Bonick starting this week. I'm still worried about it
because he did not look good. And I get it.
There's it's a flick of a switch. You finally clicked.
But like, is this gonna be every week with them,
because like their division doesn't get easier they I mean
(11:18):
they have a Raider, sure, but like they also have
to play the Chiefs. The Chiefs have finally caught stride.
Like I'm I'm a little hesitant about Bonick starting in Fantasy.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, he was twenty seven for fifty toss in the rock.
There is only the second game that he's been over
two hundred fifty yards passing. Uh, the first game that
he's been over thirty three yards rushing. So it's it's
a a sophomore slump. Like there's no doubt and there's
no in like, that's just what it is. We're looking
at Denver. This team is not looked as sharp as
they did last week. The didn't or last year. The
(11:48):
defense is little suspect the offense it's showing. I think
this is the reason that he was the critical draft
pick that he was this past year or you know,
in twenty twenty five or twenty twenty four, you know,
there was a reason that everybody's like, wait, why did
you take him that early? So, you know, I think
he can come around, hopefully. We know we love good
(12:08):
quarterbacks in this league.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
But yeah, I mean give him flowers. You know, highest
scoring points is still a lot. I mean, congrats to him.
I'm still like I have him in an eliminator league
and we're now down to twelve or eleven teams. Eleven teams.
Now I'm looking to replace him, like I'm just like
I want to get off this roller coaster.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah, he was in that conversation that was like him
justin fields and Daniel Jones was like the common start
sit around those three players, Yeah, and it felt like
he was Yeah, Jackson Dart on the other side of
that team finished QB three two hundred and eighty three
yards passing only eleven rushing. Three passing touchdowns are rushing
touchdown give you twenty nine points for the week. So look,
(12:51):
these last couple of weeks, we were both a little hesitant,
just you know, we had it was the Eagles, Denver Eagles.
And honestly, the reason I didn't want him this week
is because I said, Okay, not gonna get the rushing done.
He only had eleven yards, but uh, he got it done.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Yeah, he definitely got it done. Just got it done
with his arms. So now I think, uh, I think
you and I can kind of say Jackson darts kind
of creeping into the top twelve area, he's uh, he
might have to move up the ringkings a.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Little bit for us, I think. So, I think he's
a little bit safer one hundred percent other quarterbacks they
had justin Herbert finishes as QB two four hundred and
twenty yards passing. Hey, Matthew Stafford taught him for for
five toes there. Internationally, Patrick Mahomes again top.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Five, guy Chillen hurts right, he got to be top.
He finally looked great today.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
The number brown, okay, number eight three hundred twenty six
yards passing negative ten yards rushing tish push was not
doing them. Well. Did you see how they turned the
defensive tackles there? Yeah right, he was like it was
wild this.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
We gotta get creative somehow.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
So yeah, this this move. I guarantee this play is
gonna be gone by next year.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Oh yeah, I think with the amount of like information
we now get like from X of like the false
starts and like granted, like they called false starts on
this game and they weren't false starts, but it's just
like it's really tough to call this this play specifically
because like I will say, like offensive linemen are kind
of offline. Like it's just it's one of those things
where you know, enjoy it is the last year, it's
(14:26):
not gonna happen anymore.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Yeah, running backs here, let's go to I mean Christop
McCaffrey finally had himself a rushing day, seventy two yards
through the air, but one hundred and twenty nine on
the ground. Two rushing touchdown capped it off with the
thirty five point week. CMC man has been just so glad.
Sup them high. Yeah, Jonathan Taylor Man, how about that
(14:51):
one so.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Much fun to watch it live. Let me tell you, dude,
it's so much more fun to watch it live. No,
it's crazy. Three touchdown games multiple this season. I think
has what he is three three. Yeah, he is the
engine of the offense. So that's where it starts, and
I don't think it's gonna slow down anytime soon.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
The season ended today. I mean, I think JT could
win MVP and Daniel Jones would be Comeback Player of
the Year.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
And I think come back the players.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Offensive Rookie of the year's at tight end as well.
Like this is the best team in football right now
or playing like that, they may not be the best
team in football right now.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Offensive football and it's not close.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
Yeah, yeah, consistently over thirty points. It's there there, their
effective each and every game. It's it's great to see. Yeah.
Quinch On Judkins honestly kind of disappointing this week if
you in totality, if you think about it, he scored
three touchdowns. He scored three touchdowns, but only eighty four
yards rushing, Like his line was ninety five yards. I
(15:55):
expected him to run all over Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Because their defense was also getting touchdowns too.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
That's what ruined it. It's oh god, I hate when
you see that. Like, come on, defense, go down on
the one and give it to your offense. That's what
we want the points guys. Yeah, but three rushing touchdowns? No,
like you're not disappointed by that. RB three finish Kyle,
Kyle Swift, DeAndre Swift, and Kyle Manung Guy grouped in
there for a couple of top ten finishes. Kyle man
(16:24):
Ung Guy looked pretty good. Eighty four yards rushing, a
rushing touchdown, and then DeAndre Swift one hundred and twenty
four on the ground. This would be a reason why
Caleb's in the bus this week. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
They just they attacked the run. I mean it's sort
of like San Francisco. They definitely were like thinking, let's
just run the ball today and not pass it and
then frustrate everybody who's a killer Williams owner. So good
for them, very exciting.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
Had had to noise a little bit, but it's fine.
It's fine.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Yeah, I'm mad. Nope. Uh.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
And then Jill and Warren. We haven't really talked about
the Thursday night game a whole lot, but one hundred
and twenty seven yards rushing thirty one through the air
that game, that game, thirty one to thirty three, way
more impressive than I think anybody really thought was gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
We did say it was an upset though, right. We
both said Bengals.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Had to cover the spread at least Yeah, he cover the.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
Set at least yeah? No, I mean guys. Also a
game for Chase Brown too, is a good running game.
I don't know if it's Joe Flacco being there and
everything else like that, but this Steelers team is frustrating
to say the least. Yes, and Joe Flacco is brought
back to life for the Bengals offense. So that's my
takeaway from that game specifically.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Yeah, I excited he might be a streamer going forward
for a bit. Going to the wide receivers here, Jamar
Chase in that game, twenty three targets, are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Sixty catches, one hundred and sixty one yards and two
touchdowns just one touchdown? Just wow?
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yeah, finished number one on the week again, folks recording
this before the two Monday night games, so might have
a little movement here. But I don't know if anybody's
gonna take this from him.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
I JSN is the only one I can see competing. Yeah,
maybe Nico actually gotta give Nico flowers. Nico can do
that too, Like I wouldn't be surprised, but Jason is
more likely the Nico Nico can.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
I don't know if the Texans offense can right now.
We had a couple double teamtes up here. Demanta Smith
number two, AJ Brown number three, one hundred and eighty
three yards, one hundred and twenty one yards, three touchdowns
across the two of them. This was embarrassing on the
fact that the Vikings will give up thirteen points to
the wide receiver position combined on average in these games,
(18:36):
and uh, these guys doubled that for each other.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
I really feel like the Eagles left a lot of
points on the board when Carson Wentz throws a pick six,
the falling play is a fumble for eight yards, and
the following play is an interception, and you still only
win by six points. I just I, like I said,
the Eagles need to win this game. It was definitely
redemption game, but I still feel like they so much
more on the table for this game.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
That's where I was afraid. I didn't want to come
in here, being a Debbie Downer and coming here pissing
all over their parade. But honestly, a six point win
against Carson wins. Like you said, the defense scored, they
gave it up like they I mean, take one, Barkley
look like shit. Like this team they still have problems.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
I don't get it with Seka that. I mean, I
did see something where it'd catch my eye, like this
offensive line is older, like this is not like they
have consistently been the top rankings of a top offensive line.
But I mean they're just older. That's really what it is.
I just and I can see that, I think. But also,
but Sequin's also like a I would say, touted like
(19:37):
universally top five running back like across the league. Yeah,
you should think he'd be able to get a little
bit more like some juice out of it. And it
just doesn't seem like it's there for some reason.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Yeah, it's I'm there's big breakaway runnings aart coming like
they did last year. Uh, why did you number four
in the week? Take it away at your.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Boy, let's go. I mean, Brian, you did put the
two touchdown parlay, so good good for you on that one.
Good call on that no.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Oh no, that was Rushy Rice. That was Rushy Rice.
Oh yeah, sorry, my apologies.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
I saw rising. Got really excited, so we'll talk about lobby. Yeah,
hey man, this is I'm really excited because Spencer Ratler
played his worst game and this is what a lobby's
best game. Would you say?
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Oh, yeah, by far, I've used the stat he's never
crossed twenty PPR points in a in a game. I
got to find a new stat for a lobby. I
gotta give it to him. He crushed it in this one.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
No, so this is a it's interesting. My worry is
that the Saints keep losing, they are going to pivot
to Tyler Schuck and I don't know what to expect
with that. I still think he'll still be the same guy.
I when I said he was a my guy, I
just had a feeling he's going to finish above wide
receiver twenty nine or whatever he was. I was like, yeah,
(20:52):
he's It was something like ran in the thirties or
something around there where he was being pre drafted. I said,
he's going to finish at least as a safe floor
as a wide receiver two if he plays all the games,
And where's he at right now.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Shut the fuck up. He is not wide receiver twelve
on this season? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Is he? Now? That's that's what it's center here on.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
The sleeper let me let me, let me update it
and look at a different version. But yeah, he definitely
should have beat his ad. He was going around Jerry.
People were arguing Jerry Judy over this guy.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
That's stupid.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Yeah, Crystal Lobby's at twelve on the season, eighty three points. Hey,
he's just above Garrett Wilson, Dwanta Smith, Trey Tucker on
the Doonsday. Wow, because he hasn't had a great per game.
It hasn't been hasn't been great for him.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
But uh no, but it's been a safe floor though.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Yeah. Absolutely, you know he's not losing you the week,
that's for sure, Travis Hunter. It's about freaking time. But
you know what, it's the same.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
Let's let was this game more so they were getting
stomped in and they're like, all right, let's go have
let's just kind of sling it or is there actual
truth to this game? That's my question to you.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Brain. I think it can. I think it can be
a little bit of both. This was the discussion all
week is, Hey, we want to get him eight targets,
we want to get him involved this, this, and that.
I do agree that the second half it plays more
into what you were saying, because the first half, I'm like,
all right, so much for Travis Hunter being heavily involved.
The second half was way bigger for him. Eight catches,
one hundred and one yards in the touchdown, and of course,
(22:23):
a freaking course it's the week before the This is
the same issue with JASN. JSN was virtually unplayable until
the week before their bye. He blew up and then
goes into the Bible because I was almost gonna drop
him right before the by because I'm like, oh, screw it,
I'm not going to And the same thing I was
gonna drop Travis Hunter in my last league that I
had him, And of course he's gonna blow up right
before the bias and I'm gonna hold him now, I'm
gonna hold him like a jackass. I'm still probably not
(22:44):
gonna play him, but uh, just I gotta get him
as flowers.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
There, Yeah, Jaguars water screw one because we'll talk about
his counterpart here and.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
Next segment, Rossie Rice though, yes, it's finally time something
for forty two. It's not incredibly impressive first game back.
He didn't have a huge route tree in this one,
but two touchdowns. I cashed my first touchdown partlay with this.
Two touchdowns so.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
So fucking fun. Stat of that game, the Chiefs had
more first downs and the Raiders had total offensive plays.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
When I saw them flash up the first downs up
there was like, that's freaking I don't think I've seen
thirty first downs in a game in a long ass time.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
No, this is now a very complete Chiefs team. This
is where we get to say the Chiefs are scary.
They can make a run of the Super Bowl, and
as long as everyone stays healthy, this is what works
for them. Rashie Rice and the quick slant routes, yack,
you know, all those little things. He's perfect for this offense.
(23:48):
He does all the hard he does all the grimy
work for them.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
M hm uh. Finally we got tight ends. Oh buddy,
oh buddy, Oh run Dyck Gadsden, the second man. You
got to watch this up front.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
And personal, dude, it was crazy. He could not be stopped.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Seven catches, one hundred and sixty four yards on a touchdown.
I was worried that last week was a product of
them not having QJ No. No.
Speaker 2 (24:16):
My my fear for this is that the highest rusher
for this game was justin Herbert. They don't have a
run game. So when Joe Alt comes back, when Omaron
Hampton comes back, I don't know if Gadson has this
type of role that he had in this game because
(24:37):
they were just dropping back in shotgun because I could
not do anything else like that. So my fear for
this is that if you go and blow this fab
on Gadston right, because he's gonna be one of the
biggest pickups, it's not gonna be vital because they played Thursday,
mind you, they play against the Vikings. I'm just a
little worried. I think it is. I don't know. I
want to say it's a one week wonder, but I
just don't know if it's gonna be this like long
haul for the season type of play.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah. I think it's a little bit of both. For me,
just in the fact of there are three there's already
three wide receivers. We can't decide how to order each
and every week we're having to go through that. Then
you have the running game as it develops a little bit,
and then now you have him, while on the other hand,
you can't put the monkey back in the bottle like
Pandora's already out of the box. He's here. We could
(25:21):
get some some Antonio gates like I'm just like, I'm
loving this, this Chargers built offense, like what it's coming into.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
I really all ring his retirement center that game.
Speaker 1 (25:31):
How awesome is that? So I do think that he
can give you. I bet he can finish it as
a tight end twelve rest of season. But again, you
take that with a grain of salt here, folks, It's
not as impressive as it sounds when you really break
it down. I bet he still gives us a handful
of top six weeks. But I think he's also going
to give us some of those six to fourteen weeks
where it's just like he didn't ruin me, but he
(25:51):
only gave me five points this week.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
I could see that.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Honestly, I don't want to talk about the other tight ends,
like Pat fryarmis up here freaking.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
No one started well. I started in the dynast leaguause
I had no other options. I was like, I gotta
start Patt, and I just look, I'm like, god, I'm
so glad I started Pat.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Really, the only thing thing of note here is the
fact that we had Bellinger as tightened five, Theo Johnson
a tight end eight uh six for three for sixty
six and a touchdown in the Bellinger three for eighty
eight and a touchdown Theo Johnson his little did you
see the one that got like hit up in the
air and he just grabbed it and continued it down
there like if Jackson Dort was gonna throw for over
(26:30):
two hundred yards, Like this is how he's gonna have
to do it because he has no wide receiver weapons.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Yeah, I don't think talking like a little off topic,
but I don't think they're I don't think a lobby
is gonna get moved. I don't think a lot of
the wide receivers are gonna get moved. It doesn't sound
like it, So I think it sounds like.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Yeah, giants aren't really. Report came out that they're not
aggressively pursuing anybody. So if anything, it could be like
a Juwan Jennings, you know, something like, eh.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
I guess he's players over there, or.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Yeah, no, kidding. All right, let's go to the bus,
let's go to the stinkers. We'll finish up with these guys.
Caleb Williams. Yeah, it wasn't great this week, but he
didn't have to be. When you're running game works that way,
it's gonna happen, it's gonna fade, and this is gonna
be expected. With the Bears offense, as great as their
passing weapons are, the offensive line is amazing, they want
(27:22):
to be identifiable through the run game. So like it's
just gonna be understood that Caleb's going to have some
of these subpar games.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Yeah, I'm I'm not necessarily worried for Caleb, Like I
think this was a bad opponent. I think when they
start playing better opponents, Caleb soon as the sling it more.
This is just one of those games where it was run,
heavy oriented and that was it.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Yeah, only his third interception this season. He threw one
this week, but yeah, only third on the year. That's
we're seeing the things we wanted to see from Caleb exactly.
Let's talk about bench himself justin fields. Oh you gots
sat down.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Yeah, he's cut. I think you can respectfully cut him
and not worry about setting him in the lineup ever again.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Yeah, I've seen him on waiver wires in a lot
of my leagues, Like you know, he's being picked up
and streamed. So it's just how it's gonna be.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Yeah, I think there's better options out there for sure
going forward, and I don't think justin fields is this
is my biggest fear about drafting Hi right, because he
had a few weeks like Week one he looked like
all right, like maybe he fixed it, and then he's
had a couple like where it's been like, oh it's been,
it's been so so. Then it's just been a downward
trajectory ever since. And I that's where my fear was
with him the season.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
That was my hardest thing with ranking him this year.
If you didn't have him in your top twelve, everybody
sat there and yelled at you, like, are you kidding
on a points per game basis this guy's great. I'm like, yes,
but my rankings aren't for points per game. My rankings
are for the season. And as much as I didn't
want to believe he was gonna get benched for Tyron
because Tyron is old as hell, the guy also doesn't
deserve to be out there starting if he's gonna go
out there and play like that.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
Yeah, Like my when I was going through my rankings,
my friends were like, but who's he really competing with
Tyrod Taylor? And I'm just like, like, they're kind of
in the same sphere at this point. Like, I mean,
Tyrock can't throw the ball far, but like, I don't know,
like you need something else there. You're zero and seven
the Jets when you look at their schedule or you're
kind of like they could be the first and seventeen team,
like legitimately, and that's kind of scary for Jets fans.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Yeah, I think it's very similar to the whole Joe
Flacco Browning thing, same thing. These are like near the
same players, just one significantly older, and the older players
are smarter. They knew how to get rid of the ball,
they knew how to get it out fast, and Tyrock
gets so boogie. He had a few little moving around
in the pocket, a little scrambles. I love to see
him out there running backs. We touched on Barkley. You
(29:36):
can't really do anything about it. You're not benching him,
you can't trade him. You just gotta keep rolling it
out there?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Would what would you want to trade for Jen? Like
if Javonte Williams are gent or not de sarr Jvonte Williams,
Saquon Barkley.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Do you think somebody would do that.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
If I had Saquon Barkley, Like, if someone offered me
Javonte Williams, like, I think I might. Like It's like
the Cowboys have to score points. That's the difference. Is
that Javonte Williams on the field a lot. I don't
know what's going on with Saquon. I really you know
you're already now we're halfway through the fantasy season. We're
at week seven. We're about to be forty eight.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Forty four yards rushing negative to receiving. He's been the
RB thirty two, twenty one, ten, seventeen thirty one, going
back to the last five weeks. Plays the Giants again
this week and then they're on a bye.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Yeah, if you had Seguon Barkley after Davonte Williams, would
you take it?
Speaker 1 (30:32):
Come on? I love Javonte.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I know what I'm saying. Would you is you were
the Saquon owner? Would you are you looking to be
out of this?
Speaker 1 (30:39):
If I am, what's the week seven? If I'm three
and four probably or look worse, like, you gotta make
a move, You gotta make adjustments.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
So and I think this is the type of trades
that you should make with guys that you weren't really
expecting to be anything great and that just happened to
pan out for you. That's the type of trades you make.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Yeah, uh, Ashton Genty, I'm gonna say you finish is
RB thirty six. But that's not us pretty as it
Actually he scored three point nine points. That's so crazy,
thirty four yards thirty four yards. I mean the.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Chiefs just they were out of the game at like halftime. Basically, Yeah,
it was.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
It was bad Bill, another disappointing performance from him. Finished
finished with three point seven points, thirteen rushes thirty three yards,
one catch for negative one yard, back to back games
finishing below RB thirty four.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
I mean, are you gonna start Rodriguez? Are you gonna
start mc nichols.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
Like no, but like I mean, this week you're gonna
have to play him. It's by apocalypse and it's injuries.
But I don't think he's an auto start. I think
he's a discussion for a start sit every single week.
He's had two weeks above RB twenty five on the season.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
But you kind of draft from super late, so you
were never really expecting to be with some hero for
sure too.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
Yeah I get that last one. We have Kamani Videl.
This is what I was worried about.
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Huh, they have no run game.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
They have no run game yet. This was my fear,
was the overreaction of plugging him right back in. He
had a great game of the week before. Yeah, look
who who's playing? I think running over there could get
at least a buck twenty against the Dolphins, and that's
if we got the oxygen tank on the sideline when
he's done rough.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
One massaging or fat everywhere.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Wide receivers Drake London, Yeah, dude, couldn't even get five catches.
Couldn't even get five catches.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
It sounds like someone had an over under bet there.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
Shut up.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Look this is the problem, right, darn Old Mooney. I
feel like makes this offense worse. Like I don't know
how to really else word that.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Like Pennix is Jared Goff. It's looking like his home
road splits are drastically different.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Yeah, I don't know what to do with London, because
it's like, when you see the split stats of London
without Mooney, it's night and day and so are you
Are you worried about that stat line at all or
because it does seem like it has some sort of
effect on it.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
Yeah, it's I mean that's kind of the reason when
Mooney was out two weeks ago, I put that big
bet on London to go high because yeah, we're seeing
a huge difference between the two. Oh, London's still gonna
be an RB or wide receiver one going forward, but
there's gonna be some pains four for ten forty two yards. Look,
tech McMillan, this was semi expected, just going up against
(33:35):
you know, Sauce Guard and the Jets. There was a
decent chance that he could disappoint a bit he shouldn't
have because there was one wide receiver that blew up
nine for eleven and ninety two in a touchdown for.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
Xavier Leget big country.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
Cool dude, you know, and you can say what he
did with the thing in the Yeah, it's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Coming on.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Brian Thomas Junior, man, I think he's broken. This dude's broken.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah, he bench him, dude, the steam was built up
back to back weeks over eighty yards.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
Everybody's like, all right, he's figuring it out. Three for
thirty one. This is a win game. This is a
game the.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Trevor Lawrence though, because like Mac Jones made him.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
I think this is Trevor Lawrence. As much as I
was a Trevor Lawrence fan, really excited for what he
could bring to Like I've been a Colts fan my
whole life. I've had to watch Jacksonville be so bad
for so long. I was excited for this franchise to
genuinely get a franchise guy, a talented guy. Sony, you
could give him some playoff runs. I think Trevor Lawrence
is that, Like I don't think he's ever going to
(34:42):
be in above average quarterback.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Yeah, I'm right there with you. I because like the
magic we've seen the magic, like we've seen like when
this dude gets on like it's he's unstoppable. But the
problem is is that he has two really good weapons.
Like I think Trevior Hunder is a good wide receiver.
I think it's a very good water receiver too. I
think also that Brian Thomas is an elite weapon Yeah,
(35:07):
I was wondering what that was. I got tripped up
for a second. I was like, what was that high?
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Like you said magic, I was like, oh wait, I've
got a magic sound effecting on just a little late.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
Yeah, seriously, but I'm worried for Brian Thomas Junior. I'm
trying to think of a trade that you can make
that you would if you're the Brian Thomas Junior under
where you say yes like Chris Olave, Brian Thomas Junior,
give me Chris Okay, Stefan Diggs.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
Yeah, I think honestly, there's not much I wouldn't take
for Brian Thomas Junior at this point, like just to
get away from the headache.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Okay, I'm trying to think of a name that's like,
all right, you've you've gone too far. I can't do it.
I'm trying to think of a name.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
It's like it's a burden.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
That's too far. Okay Worthy, Oh, that was just thinking
that that. It's crazy.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
I think I'd rather have Xavier Worthy his offense scores points, Yeah,
helped me out with this one. This one's kind of
hurt me coming out of the by Roman Dunesdays two
for thirty two two for thirty one. He hasn't more
than four catches since week two. He hasn't a touchdown
since week four. I they moved the ball around. The
(36:24):
running game's gonna be there, but like, come on, man,
come on.
Speaker 2 (36:29):
Was it wet in this last game too.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
I knew it was really windy up in the Chicago game.
I remember exactly what the weather was looking.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Like because it was wet. In the Commander's game, it
was wet, and I just don't I don't know if
like you don want to sit there and blame weather,
but there's just something I watched those games. I'm just like,
a doesn't something doesn't look right with the passing game.
I don't know, and it's not Ben Johnson. I don't
know if it's Caleb or it's Rome. But this is
kind of I'm not worried next week. I'll be worried
(36:59):
if it's If it's beat next week, that's where the
alarms are sounding off.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Yeah, you get three three straight tad games, that's when
it's gonna have an issue. But this guy, he's a
presence in the red zone. He's still getting these red
zone looks he could have if he would have pulled
the one in last week. We won't even have this conversations,
We wouldn't mention this exactly so, but just just something
to be aware of. There's kind of the bad thing
of the Bears offense. Finally, the last one I've got here,
(37:22):
Kendrick Bourne, Come on, dude, we bought in. Everybody bought in.
Mac Jones got the start fourteen freaking yards.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
This swizz again. I think it was just a run
heavy script. They definitely were attacking Atlanta because a Lanta
had a good defense, and I was this was out
of nowhere where they said, yeah, we're just gonna run
it down their throats and they're not gonna stop us.
And they legitimate did not stop CMC.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
Yeah, Juwan Jennings thirty one yards, Kendrick Borden fourteen, Sky
Moore fifteen, Luke Ferrell eleven and that's all the pass
catchers besides the running backs the rest of.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
The twenty two. How many passing does Mac Jones have
under two hundred for sure? Right? Yeah? Crazy? Because mac
Jones actually been dealing. That's actually been a strong suit
for him. But his team just goes as far as
what Shanahan wants him to do, and Shanahan had a
game script and he said, this is what we're gonna
do today, and they actually died to a t.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
Yeah, they gotta win. That's all he cares about.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
I can't knock him for that. All right, tight ends,
Oh something he didn't bring up with the running backs
event to before we got out of there. We're talking
about like RB ten, RB fourteen, RB all that. The
RB nineteen didn't even score ten points. So I think
this is the second week in a row. Like there's
a huge cliff drop off from the top few guys
at running back and then it's just kind of nine points.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Is his name Alvin Kamara?
Speaker 1 (38:46):
No, it was Tony Pollard. There was RB nineteen at
nine points.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
Oh wow.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
But like Chase Brown was RB fifteen. He had one
hundred and eight yards, that's it, no touchdown, he had
negative receiving yards. So like eleven points in the day,
it wasn't great. Brishard Smith was RB sixteen at ten points.
So there is a huge drop off in these running
backs as far as what they're the production is coming
out as yeah, and the tight ends finally, just the
(39:10):
Harold Fannon can't really do much when your defense is
scoring and your your running back score three touchdowns. So
he was quite the disappointment. I don't know who was
the last one whose kind of annoyed the hell.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
George streaking Kittle, dude like does not like he was
on the field for majority of the snaps, just there
as a six offensive lineman to block for CMC to
get all those yards.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Yeah, he was over to on passes registered to zero points.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
Rock. No, seriously, I think Rock is the I don't
think there's a connection for mac Jones and in George Kittle.
I think it's connection for Brock In George.
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yeah, Brock will get it done. Otherwise, Mac Jones is
just helping out CMC and Born. That's it. Yeah, awesome.
Anything else you got before we get out of here.
Speaker 2 (39:59):
I don't have anything else. I thought I was gonna
say something, but there's nothing Waiver wires. As this comes out,
there's no one. I'm like like chomping at the bits
for that. I'm just like, you need to get him.
I think this is another one of those weeks where
these are oh cut Travion Henderson got him, Yeah, got them?
Speaker 1 (40:23):
And the amount of like Twitter is just like, oh, yeah,
I watch these people are gonna drop Travon. He's gonna
blow up in the second half. Okay, seven weeks and
he's only hurt your team.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
He's ultimate celebration of Mike Vrabel with his back his
other backup running backs thing. I think I found my
five minute running back. Yeah yeah, I think it's time
to cut Travion.
Speaker 1 (40:42):
Yeah I don't. I don't care how big he blows
up after this, Like you can't call people stupid for
dropping them anytime in the last couple of weeks, Like, yeah,
I get it, they blow up in the second half,
but like, yeah, traditionally, like this was a stat we
talked about this past summer. The second running back in
a Mike mcd or a uh, Mike McDaniels, No, uh,
(41:02):
what's it? What's his name for daniels?
Speaker 2 (41:06):
Jason No?
Speaker 1 (41:07):
No? Fuck well fuck had McDaniels, the one of the yeah,
the one from the Patriots, that one his second running back,
the second running back drafted from his offenses are always
the one that performs better. And after the steam that
Stevenson or after the steam that Henderson got, it was
Romandre Stevenson. So I sat there and looked at that.
(41:28):
Staton look at that. I was like, I'm not drafting
with demandre but like it was right there in front
of us the whole time.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Yeah, I mean, but that's also different because I feel
like he had James White, and James White was a
was just a receptions king because Tom Brady wasn't afraid
of checking down. So I think that's kind of different.
Speaker 1 (41:46):
I went back. There was several different examples though, but yeah,
there were several guys. I'm like, oh, okay, that does
It's kind of interesting the way it flowed out. But yeah,
we did this so ourselves again. Marvine next year will
be the one to draft. O. God, I have no
idea because Romandri is gonna be there still. Yeah, they
definitely won't be bringing any magic, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (42:09):
I have no kind on that one.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
Yere alrighty folks, that's it for the recap. We're done
going over those. If you want to talk more waiver
Wire with us, come hang out with us three o'clock
on the other YouTube channel. We'll be doing the live
