Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yo, what's happening to everybody? Here we go another episode
of Too Much Fantasy Football. It's Brian and Brennan here
diving into Week eight. We've got the Thursday Night preview
ahead of us. How you doing today? Man?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
You know it's a dudes day. It's a it's a
dudes day, and everyone's panicking.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I mean, right, they should. It's bypockalyps time. We're all
sweating with some of these lineups I've got. I've got
some bad running backs in my starting lineup this week.
It's it's pretty ugly, man.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah, I'm right there with you. Like, I was really
banking on Bam Night being my RB two in a
couple of my leagues, and now I'm like, I had
to go pick up Neil from the Saints as my
starting running back. I was like, it's gonna be my
RB two this week. So yeah, I was.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Staring at him at the top of a lot of
pick up lists as far as waivers for running backs.
I'm like, no, I have not gotten that bad. We
have to go pick up Devin Neil right now, but no, no,
look it might happen, but yeah, we're gonna go through
this Thursday Night football game. We'll talk a few injuries
from trade rumors, fill up in a few spots. I mean,
everybody's looking to trade, whether it be the NFL or

(01:16):
Fantasy football. It's bipocap sign pokes. We're getting ready for it.
Let's dive in to this first one. Though. This should
be a good one. I know Thursday out, but hopefully
not this one. We got the three three Vikings taken
on the forty four and three Chargers. They're playing in
La Minnesota is three and a half point dogs in
this one, forty four and a half point over under.
Pretty excited, pretty excited. Hopefully it's not a defensive game.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
I mean it's it's it's a better Thursday night matchup.
Had it been like a full strength, you know, with
the Marion Hampton would have been really cool with you know,
the Vikings having a competent quarterback would have been in there.
You know, yeah, you know anything. But no, it should
be a good one though. I think I think it's
gonna better than what people expect. Carson Wentz is starting

(02:00):
No JJ again, so I still have, you know, more
confidence with Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, Jordan Mason, I don't
think Aaron Jones is gonna play, right. I know he's
been activated from the IR, but I don't think he's
gonna play this week.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah, it looked like him and JJ McCarthy were questionable
because of the short week. It looks like they're trying
to kind of tease that out a little bit. Maybe
next week is when we might see him. So Jordan
Mason might be his last game that he gets to
fully the run of the offense. But I guess on
the other side, we're I mean, obviously we're not looking
at wins to start, but Justin Herbert, you willing to
put him out there?

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, it's byeway karmageddon. Like you said, you probably are
hurting in that aspect for some quarterbacks. I'm he's probably
gonna be closer to a top twelve finish and most
people realize.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
So yeah, with what you're working here, Like, I've got
Joe Flacco in my top ten right now because it's, uh,
that's where we're at. Granted it's a good matchup for him,
but still like that that's the state of it. I mean, like,
would you be doing Justin Herbert or Jackson Dart coming
off couple of top QB three finishes. Playing Philly in
the rematch.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I think only in Herbert. I think with them still
not having a solid run game, Kamani Vadal is going
to be by himself with Nahem Heines in that backfield,
I'm leaning towards. Yeah, I'm leaning towards justin Herbert starting.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
I think so too. Folks. We warned you about this,
this three pack of games for Jackson Dart, but I'm
finally at the point where I'm not gonna tell you to, Hey,
stay away from him if you want to play him,
if you want to follow it up. I like it,
but it should be it's it's supposed to be, like,
come on, man, he's got no receivers to throw to.
He'd elevate two tight ends as far as Top plays
like it. Just it shouldn't go well this week.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Hey, as someone who's gonna have to start Slaton because
a lot of wide receivers are on bye for me,
I'm okay with it.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Looking at the running backs, Jordan Mason, I mean he's
gonna get the start. Like we said, Aaron Jones won't
be there, so he'll be playing for you. Kamani Vidal,
where are we at with this one. He's good game,
bad game.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I think a decent game. I think like he should
be RB two. But that's not saying much with how
many teams are on BY six, right, six teams.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
On by Yeah, we're looking at Cardinals, Jags, Lions, Rams, Raiders,
and Seahawks. It's a lot of fantasy players right there.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Yeah. So with the Gibbs gone, Gent's gone, Like you know,
you're you're really hurting in that aspect, so you have
no choice but to start commanding with unless you have
just depth at RB.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
I'm jealous, right, Yeah, that league that drafted perfectly. Yeah,
quit bragging everybody we see in the chat. Ye as
far as wide receivers, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison's been showing out.
So I know the stats that's floating around that he's
outscored Justin Jefferson six of the last eleven games they
played together. Justin Jefferson's so great. But I think this
is more of just a compliment to how well Addison's

(04:49):
been playing. Definitely taking a step forward in what year
three forms this year.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
This is twenty twenty one. Was he drafted. He was
drafted with JSN so year three.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yeah, so yeah, playing both of those, we dissected those
other three. There we got Lad McConkey on the other side,
Keenan Allen QJ fearlessly playing them all.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I am, yeah, you're starting all of them. I mean
you have no choice. Really. I look at him as
I kind of rank him in. That's in. That's that
same scenario i'd rather have. I think the Vikings don't
do well against the slot if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, yeah, uh.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
So, I guess so QJ or I mean Keenan and
Ladd feel like the safer two plays for me. QJ
is where questions pop up, but maybe not. I guess
let's go QJ or DIGS. I go digs QJ or
DJ Moore against Baltimore, I go QJ. I think so too.

(05:58):
Last one here, Runny Dobbs QJ. Yeah. It feels like
a very boom bust there with what you're picking out
of that one. Yes, Romeo Dobbs gonna give you a floor.
But the playing Pittsburgh this week, and who knows what
defense is gonna show up for Pittsburgh. It's been uh,
it's been hot and cold for them, and then the
tight end man, the new hotness coming out of nowhere,

(06:19):
not really nowhere, but aronde Gadston. Two great performances from him.
Last week TJ. Howkinson fell short of catching that touchdown,
so his day. I mean, he really hasn't been great
at all this year's but honestly, one playable week is
always that he had a tight end five finish. But
outside of that, it's been thirty three forty three one nineteen.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Yeah, he was an average fab in my redraft leagues
of twenty five dollars in more. Yeah, so that's great.
Good for you to spend that much. I didn't think
he's worth that. I mean unless you're really hurting a
tight end like I had Darren Waller and I was
starting in a couple of leagues and say, you know, now,
I wouldn't go picked up like THEO Johnson. I rather

(07:02):
have Gadson, but I'm not gonna drop I was gonna
drop twenty six dollars a fab on him.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, I luckily I was able to pick him up
for changing a few leagues and others. At Guillotine League,
he went for way more than he should have. So Gadson,
you'd be playing over Hawkinson does Gadsden. You're playing him
over Kyle Pitts. Yes, over Mason Taylor with Tyron Well
possibly Tyron popped up on the injury report this week.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Yeah, I still think it's Tyrod. I My everything for
me is Tyrod. I'm gonna say, yes, it's just a
really shitty situation for the Jets.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
We'll put Tyron in a brace it. I don't care. Man,
go out there and play on one light. It's still better. Seriously,
Mark Andrews coming out of the by and folks, if
you didn't hear, they got their ping pong table taken away,
so like there their business. Now they're focused, they're locked in.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Lamartin might not play this week, by the way, I
know that's so heartbreaking. Yeah. If he doesn't play, I'm
gonna say Gadsdon, uh, and.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Then Gadsten, I mean Hudter, Henry ev An, Ingram, Harold Fannin.
He's getting the start over those guys.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Uh. Yeah, probably probably over the he just has more
of a boom. And that's what I'm looking at. At
a tight end. If all these guys were all like,
if they weren't the McBride's, the Bowers, the Warrens, you
know that area where I drafted the I'd rather go
for like the high upside play.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, you're going you're shooting for. It's You're either go
for the athletic yat guys or the touchdown guys. Do
you want to Hunter Henry or the zach Ertz or
do you want the Gadsden. I'm gonna say Chicka Kunco
because I can't think of another athletic tight end. But
he's not even in the conversation of those guys. No nice,
who do you have winning this game?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
Everything in me was gonna say Chargers like I want
to say the Vikings. Man, I just think the Chargers
are in a really bad spot right now, and Joe
Alt's questionable. If Joe Walt plays, I will kind of
lean towards the Chargers. He does help that line out
tremendously and then they're at home, so I will lean
the charges. Joe All plays, I'll say charges. If Joe

(09:09):
All doesn't play again, I think the Vikings on a
field day.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I think so in three and a half points, like,
I like the Vikings to at least cover that. I
think they're gonna keep it close. Chargers have not been
the same team that. I mean, they're one in one
to three in the last four weeks.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
Yeah, it's not good. They've been with the injury bug.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Yeah, between the offensive line of the running backs, it's
absolutely decimated them. Nice, let's talk some of these uh
waiver pick up some of these kind of plug and
play guys. We talked about Tyrod possibly playing, and I
don't necessarily think I'm leaning him in any of my matchups,
but Marcus Mariota filling in for Jayden Daniels, We've seen
him be seventy percent of Jade and Daniels, So I

(09:48):
really have no fear putting him in my lineup.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
No, because he's been like he's been perfect as a backup.
He's addictly what he's supposed to do. You know, he
might win your game, but he's also not gonna win
every single game, and he just puts up decent amount
of points. So I'm okay with Marcus Marriott. I think
he'll be closer to the top fifteen finish.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Yeah, they get a pretty rough matchup in Casey this week.
Willing to put him out there, but after that, Seattle, Detroit,
Miami all plus matchups for him, So Jane Daniels, imagine
we're gonna miss him for a few more weeks. And
if that's not just horrible, like this is now the
second time he's left the season, it's it's not been great.
Let's talk some of these running backs here, some of

(10:28):
the pickups as far as like the the Kyle Mnung guys,
the Breshard Smith, Devin Niels, are these I mean, obviously
break glass if you absolutely need a plug and play,
you're gonna have to put him in there. But are
these still bent fodder for you as far as you're
looking at these fellows.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yes, if Kyle Manangai obviously everyone's hoping that, you know
that it's maybe a fifty to fifty split backfield. I
don't really see it that way. I still think Swift
has the hold of that. Brishard Smith has more upside
to me, like because honestly, it's like it's Pa Checko,
it's Hunt and it hasn't been really anybody, but Burshard
Smith has a little more. We're all kind of waiting

(11:07):
for him to be the McKinnon. We're really like just like,
when's that game coming? And then when's that breakout? He
hasn't he was RB twenty last week. But again we
like we said in the last episode, that's not saying
a whole lot, because he had fourteen rushing attempts for
looks like thirty nine yards and he had five catches
for forty two yards. So maybe this is maybe this
is the game where it's like, all right, Burshard Smith

(11:28):
is more of the third down back and he's more
in on like forty percent of the snaps than he
gets more of the production.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Yeah, the nice thing is we are seeing snaps come
down for the other guys like Kareem Hunt only nineteen
percent of snaps this past week, he was sitting right
around the forty percent mark and it's slowly gone down
before thirty three thirty nineteen. So hopefully, as long as
he's not still in the goal line work or maybe
exclusively going out there for that, we we might have
that door open a bit. But at the same time,
Rossie Rice is back, you know, Xavier Worthy is healthy,

(11:56):
Hollywood Brown is out there as an exhiliar. You know,
you got Juju there to help out. There's just so
many mouths to feed that you're putting them out there.
I feel like best confidence is RB three and you're
just hoping for a splash play, you're.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Hoping for a touchdown. You're really just hoping for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
Uh, let's look at some of these wide receivers. Guys
like Romeo Dobbs were common pickups. Khlul Shakir is a
waiver wire guy, now, Tes Johnson, Alex Pearce, Kaishawn Boody
or those guys. Which where would you put, like your
your top three?

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Of those fellos, Kaishan Boody's probably won just with a
bigger upside. He's had the more boom weeks than he
I mean, obviously he's had bust. But like out of
those guys like Alec Peerce is like the home run
threat where it's like the forty yard bomb, and you
know he gets a couple of those a game, so
you might get saved with a couple of those. You said,
who else did you say after that?

Speaker 1 (12:45):
Tes Johnson, Romeo Dobbs, Shakir.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Teses Johnson actually should be up a little bit higher. Yeah,
especially with the injuries. Mike Evans now is done for
the year. I know there's like, oh, he might be
back week fourteen, Like that's really hopeful. Man, that's genuinely
hopeful talk. I don't know if he will, you know, Yeah,
that's the playoffs too, exactly, Like, so i'd say like

(13:10):
he's up there a little bit more than others.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
Yeah, Ted Johnson kind of not. I wouldn't say ran away,
but he definitely solidified it himself along with Abukas the
the other wide receiver that I want to start. I
think if you break it down past that, I think
it's Kate Awton for me before I want to start,
you know, clipping at the hills at the other Johnson
and Sterling Shepherd.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
I'm gonna say another name because it's a new quarterback
that's gonna start this week, and he just had a
really good week. He really get Oh boy, a new quarterback.
I'm just saying it's a new quarterback. Andy Dalton. He's
you know, calling the red rifle back in the heyday.
He's not afraid to sling it him here. Yeah, I know,

(13:53):
I'm okay with pick up like an exit if you
are down bad, like and you're hoping for just something fresh,
like I would say Zaber look at chilling Cocher, just
because we just don't know what what Andy Dolon's gonna do.
We really don't know what he's gonna who, his favorite
target's gonna be, where he's gonna look.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
So typically typically when these backups come into we see
that why they're a backup within a few games. But
usually that first or second game they can get away
with a little bit of a yeah, he I imagine
he's gonna win. I mean probably not this week to
playing the Bills, but you know they played Green Bay. Yeah,

(14:31):
so I think you can have more shots then than
Xavier l Get. It's just it's scary. He had eleven
targets though last week nine catches ninety two yards a touchdown.
This game, the over unders pretty high, so I don't
mind kind of leaning into that. I don't know if
we really talked about this on Monday, but Rico dabble
Chewba Hubbard.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
It we just split. It isn't no like the they
and head coaches dying on that hill. It's a deffty split.
Did you know that Rico adalyst third in rushing yards
this year off of just two games. Basically Wow, yeah,
he goes, he goes JT. Javonte Williams and then Rico.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
That's wild the first four weeks twelve yards, nine yards,
thirty yards, thirty two yards, So it's on the back
of yeah, essentially the last three weeks those two that
are really standing out. He's I get him, he's in
a hard spot. You can't not play doubt all. But
I get what you you know, the loyalty you have
to Chube as far as the money and all that
kind of stuff.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
So it's interesting you can kind of trade him. I mean, like,
I mean, it'd be nice to have a dual back.
But he also Jonathan Brooks, like you did take him
in the second round, like you gave Chub was on
a really friendly deal, So maybe I could see why Caroline.
His GM's kind of like it's if I'm the Chiefs,
I'm any team that really needs a running back, Like
he's on a really cheap deal. He's still somewhat decent.

(15:53):
Like if Chuba went to the Chiefs. I do know
we talking about greestall going on there, but Cuba went
to the Chiefs, Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
He Yeah, he would produce eighty ninety percent of what
Bristol would do.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
I think in that backfield, Yes, exactly.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Yeah, So I don't I don't know, I hope we
get some trades here. Trade deadlines coming up for the
NFL team some really.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
Next week, right next Wednesday at like four o'clock Eastern
is the deadline.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, I believe so, so about a week left. Some
of those injuries might be popping up this week as
far as hey, we're gonna hold him out because his
ass is sore or his elbow is funky, or you know,
whatever the hell it is.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Yeah, I would tell you guys, is that hold on
to the guys that are in the and that are
legitally might be traded, like Jack Besh, I would go
and pick him up, because Joey Myers might get traded.
Isaiah Isaiah Davis will be the lead back if Breesel's gone,
if he's not picked up, go just and then if
you have an extra bench spot, like drop him after
week eight because at that point, if he's not traded,
then oh well you took a swing. Though it's like

(16:49):
Tony Poular Toashi Spears is already probably picked up. But
just guys that like are you know that you're kind
of on that you know, bubble, I would go and
pick up their backups a starter.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Yeah, We're not dropping thevaluable pieces here, but everything's different.
I haven't been plagued by a lot of injuries in
some of my leagues, so I'm able to kind of
backfi like Jacoby Myers at the waiver wire this past week.
So do I plan on playing him? Absolutely not. But
did I pick him up just in case? Sure? Did?
Because yeah, again, I don't even know if I want
to play him no matter where he goes. But the hype,
the excitement that everybody feels after that trade happens, Trade

(17:22):
way Trade.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
And way Nobby goes to the Bills. I don't have
you looking to trade them away so quickly.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Yes, yeah, we saw it last year. We saw how
it worked last year. God, I hope not them just
adding another slot receiver to that mix. Like, let's be honest,
Keon Coleman used to be playing out of the slot.
He's just a giant slot guy.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
I think, yeah, I just I definitely. I think the
Bills are gonna be buyers. I think they feel the
Patriots starting to breathe down their neck a little bit.
I'm very curious to see what teams actually make moves.

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Yeah, because we have several teams that kind of are
coming out of nowhere. You're the Colts. We no one,
no one would have called them buyers in the summer
during the preseason, but right now they could probably go
for a few pieces right now.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
But all defense, yeah, all defense.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
When you've got Jonathan Taylor on offense. Honestly, you can
trade away some of that offense. They we don't need him.
We've got him, that's.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
All we need, exactly.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Nice. I guess I'm trying to think of any other
injuries you talk about. Ricky Pierson doesn't look like human
be playing yet.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Again, it'd be pretty cool, you know, if the sam
to forty nine has heard of this thing called the IR.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Well, half their teams on the IR. I don't know
if they've got any IR spots left.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Yeah, yeah, I don't think Ricky's gonna play. That's just
super annoying too. I can go through guys that didn't
practice day, but again, it's it's Wednesday, so it's it's
a dude's day. A J. Brown didn't practice, Caid was limited,
DeAndre Swift did in practice. DJ Moore didn't practice, rock
Perty was limited. Ricky Peerson we just talked about. Josh

(18:56):
downs is limited and Michael Pennix was also limited. Hassan
Haskins is also out. We already talked about that. Bryce
Young for sure is not practicing, and let me see
anybody else here. Breese Hall, but he's limited. It's a
knee thing, which I'm sure that's more of a trade thing. Yeah,
Chris a Lobby didn't practice, but they already said he's

(19:17):
gonna be get to go for Sunday and that's all
she Baker Mayfield was also limited. BET's also because he
was just running around for his life on Monday.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
And they can't afford to lose him. Everybody else is out,
so Baker might be in a bubble up until sat
Sunday morning at kickoff.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Yeah, Josh Jake it's limited again with a calf and
Jerry jud didn't practice, so there you go.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
That's something I want to keep an eye on. Emmanuel
Wilson definitely needs to be picked up in most leagues,
especially if you own Josh Jacobs. These calf injuries have
been they've been funky over the last few years for
running back, So it's just something I really want to
keep an eye on.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
I have Marshawn Lloyd and all the leagues. I have
Josh Jacobs, and I'm just like, God, damn it, dude.
I were like, I've been holding him for ever because
I haven't had a need to do anything else with it,
because I just I know when he's activated, he is
for sure in the backup. It's not Emmanuelist. And so
it's just so annoying that it's like, of course, when
he's getting injured, it's now he's not gonna be activated
anytime soon.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
So yeah, I mean, same thing with Trey Benson. Everybody
was waiting for that, that inevitable injury for James.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Most Dynasty owners that took him in like the late first,
like just like finally and then introed after one game.
And I honestly, I think Bam Knight holds that job.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
By the way, don't say.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
That, I'm being serious, Like what has Bam Knight done
to lose the job. He's just man, he's a name.
You don't like it here because it's not Trey Benson.
But Bam Knight I think's gonna hold that job even
when Trey Benson gets back.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, I imagine that there's gonna be some sort of split.
It's not gonna be just Trey Benson looking like James
Connor out there. It's it's gonna be some sort of
thirty you know, seventy thirty, sixty forty, something like that.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Unfortunately, we did have Tyler Lockett. He's done. He does
want to put up with the Titans Bowl anymore. He's
been Yeah, it's probably Pittsburgh.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Gonna go hang out with some old friends.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, and they are literally old and friends, Yes, Rogers
and DK. I like this Titan's offense. I mean you
talk about Polar possibly being traded. Yeah, you want to
own Spears because he would be a starting running back.
But I don't want anything on this team like a
man or. It's black p n fillips, and I don't

(21:28):
want to play him. Like this team scored six offensive
touchdowns through seven games.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
This team's a mess. This team is genuinely a mess.
And like I, I know, Cam Moore is struggling. The
play calling isn't there. You know, they've they've invested heavily
in the offensive line in the drafts. They went Scronski
and then they went jac Latham and it hasn't really
panned out and hasn't fixed everything. And you know, they

(21:55):
spent money on Lagarious Snead and that that he's not
even that great a quarter But it's just they need
a full, full reset And that's just what sucks, is
that that's what they're looking at, and they should sell.
They should sell some really key pieces and build through
the draft again and keep going.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
And it's not that it's hard to do it because
he is on a rookie contract, but it's hard to
do with the number one overall like rookie quarterback. The
fact that your team's not going to be decent until
he's going into his third, maybe fourth year, Like that's
that's unfortunate, you know, it almost just feels like a
waste right off the bat, just cam Warden has no
chance to really develop.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Because then he had to pay him. Like this is
like what the Texans are dealing with the Texans now
next year and be spending all this draft capital on
offensive lineman. If they don't, that's just dumb as all
could be. Yeah, and then they're gonna have to pay
CD Stroud And I don't know what his current value
is is he he's probably looking at somewhere like Brock
pretty money.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
They're gonna have to pay him as a top five,
top seven guy, just because that's how it works when
you pay him. Yep, And that's I mean, same thing.
You look at a look at Carolina with Bryce Young,
same boat.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Like literally, I generally don't know what they're gonna do
with that. I don't know if they'll pick up his.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Fifth year option, but that means next year is last year.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
I think I'm kind of okay with that. I think
you got to sit there and just die on that hill.
It was a terrible trade and you thought it would
work out. And you know, five to ten under two
hundred pound quarterback is just not going to be a
thing in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
And he's gonna hit free agency, go back up somewhere
and one of those good coaches will turn him into
something and Carolina will just pull their hair out.

Speaker 2 (23:30):
You know. I'm kind of like, I don't view Bryce
Young in the same linelight as like Tua, but like
it's it's almost there.

Speaker 1 (23:38):
That's what we said about Sam Darnold, and you know,
after he got out of Carolina it looked a lot better.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
You're telling me, So if Bryce Young went to the Vikings,
what do you think he'd have major success.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
We's got a lot of snow out there, So if
he stood on a snow mound, he actually might be
tall enough to see over the line and maybe that
might do the trick.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Okay, if he went to Sean McVay, but there's no snow.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Hey, Sean flipped a Baker. No, Baker was a lot
more talented than than Bright Young and we stall it,
you know, maybe not all the time, but we got
glimpses of it. Now. It's just it's unfortunate. You know,
we're seeing these quarterbacks. Maybe they could have been something
had they go into a position, you know, set up
for more success, a more confident coach, you know, what
have you. But it's God. As a Colts fan, as

(24:24):
an AFC South team, you know, fan in that division,
I love that Texans are going to be in that
But Pickle, I love that the Titans don't know what
they're gonna do. I love that the Jags they're kind
of tripping over themselves right now.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
I hate that we're in year five. We still know
Trevor Lawrence is good.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
I think I'm letting go of that pipe dream of
like thinking that he could be like an elite top
end guy. I think at most he you know, above
like Manning, you know, I think he could get to
that point where he's yeah, okay, he closes his mouth
when he breathes. But like outside of that, they.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Having worth.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Yeah, I don't know. I was I've said, like Jags
are inner divisions. We're not supposed to like him, But
it's like that that little kid on the playground. You
want to pick on him because he's so small, like
he's already too pitiful enough, Like you just feel bad
and like I wish that that franchise could have a
little hope. And no, they're stuck with Lawrence for at
least a couple more years.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Yeah, for sure, at least three, if I had to
imagine with the contract, that's unfortunate.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Any of these other games you want to touch on
any players before we get out.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
Of here, any other players? No, there's not anything other
games that like really stand out to me that I'm like, oh,
this is this is where I'm like trying to have,
you know, all my eggs in the basket and something
like that.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Yeah, with eight teams on buy, how many of you
have won two, three, four, five, six, seven one o'clock
games and only three. I hate that seven and three.
I hate the split, Like, give me a six and four.
Why can't you do six and four?

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Because they hate you?

Speaker 1 (26:02):
They do, they do. I literally got the letter in
the mail from Goodell earlier. He says, hey, Brian, you're
doing great this year. By the way, we hate you.
All right, it's fine. My team's doing I co signed
on it. Of course you did. Somebody's just bitter about uh.
Javonte Williams here, Yeah, still got the sticky note.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
I can't believe he's number two in rushing yards. I
genuinely if you had told me at the beginning the year,
I said, what crack pipe did you hit?

Speaker 1 (26:27):
I'm pretty sure you did see that to me.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
No, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Oh man. Awesome. Well, folks, we can't think you know

too much bem olk if you're looking for him. Get

(26:54):
ready another great ambling week. I bet we do it
well this week too.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Let's do it.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customersβ€”who have become friendsβ€”to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. β€œFoods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso CuarΓ³n, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
