be curious, be true. Beyou. Welcome to trusting your gut with
world class energy, Intuitive Katherine macintosh, a show designed to awaken you to
enjoy the process of evolving, havefun along the way, and learn to
(00:30):
listen to those silent in between moments. You are the expert of your own
life and nobody knows more about thenext steps to take in your journey than
you, So please listen to yourgut and discover what's waiting for you to
explore. Here is your host,Katherine McIntosh. All right, my friend
(00:53):
Zo, Welcome to today's episode. We are going to be talking about healing
the nervous system and the benefits ofit, and so let me ask you
all a question. If you're listeningand tuning in, and for those of
you that are familiar with my show, I do take live callers and I
will be straightforward and frank with youand see what I can do to contribute
(01:15):
to you on your journey. Aslong as it's somewhat along the topic of
the class, we'll take your call, So you're welcome to call in.
But here's the question I want toask is how many of you have tried
to heal something in your life,a trauma, something that happened to you,
a point of view, something you'retrying to overcome in your life,
(01:38):
and you get excited about it,you get enthusiastic, You're like, all
right, this time it's going tobe different. And then all of a
sudden, time goes by and somethingoccurs, and it might be an environmental
trigger, like you hear a reallyloud noise, you might go in somewhere
(02:00):
and all of a sudden, you'reliterally right back to the moment of the
trauma. And I'll give an example. So and then you go, oh,
see it didn't work. See Ididn't heal. See it's not possible.
See here's an example. They've donea lot of studies with women and
those who struggle with losing weight, and I believe I've given this example in
(02:23):
past episodes. So there are womenthat went on this sort of trial and
these studies, and they took thesewomen who were, you know, largely
overweight, some of them were obese, and they did some research and they
found I think it's something like eightyfive percent of those women were sexually abused.
(02:45):
That's pretty that's pretty incredible. Eightyfive percent of these women who were
on the obese spectrum, eighty fivepercent of them had been sexually abused.
And they then did these trial studiesand they took these women through how to
(03:05):
lose weight because they wanted to figureout how to get over that yo yo
hump. And so there was awoman who had probably lost over one hundred
and fifty pounds and she started feelinggreat, and she had kept the weight
off for maybe a year and ahalf, two and a half. It
was a considerable amount of time thatshe had kept over one hundred and fifty
(03:28):
pounds off. And one night, she's feeling good, she's at a bar
and this man starts hitting on her. And you would think that that would
be something that she would, youknow, maybe be excited about. She
hadn't dated in a long time,she hadn't had men's attention in a long
time. And what actually happened isthat this experience was a giant trigger for
(03:53):
her and she relapsed and gained almostall of the weight she had lost.
She gained it back, and shewas in therapy and the therapist said what
happened? She said, I feltunsafe. And so this is the conversation
I want to have with you,is that there are actions we can take
(04:14):
to change the external circumstance of ourtriggers, right, or the internal circumstance
of our triggers. But I trulybelieve that if we don't fundamentally from the
inside out heal the nervous system, then no matter how much you cognitively process
(04:34):
that trigger, that trigger will stilllive in your body as an a live
sort of atomic bomb, so tospeak. Right, It's a live thing
that could explode at any moment ifit surrounds itself in unsafe conditions. But
when you begin to heal that nervoussystem and you really get to the root
(04:58):
of what is going on, yourlife will begin to radically transform. And
you know, I went to gradschool for sematic psychology and I was taught
these sematic exercises and I was like, yeah, that's for people who maybe
you know, we studied all differentkinds of traumas to work with, and
that how these sematic exercises will benefitWell. Fast forward twenty years later into
(05:26):
my personal life, and I'm goingthrough menopause and have unexplainably gained weight and
my nervous system is totally taxed, and I'm hot flashing, and I'm mood
swinging, and I'm anxiety full ofanxiety, and I'm having panic attacks,
and like all this crazy stuff startedhappening. Well, all of a sudden,
I got this hit one day tostart to do sematic exercises every day.
(05:48):
So I do maybe five minutes inthe morning, you know, after
I meditate and get out of bed. And so I'm like doing these sematic
exercises, and all of a sudden, I'm like, Wow, things really
feel different. I feel different.I'm not going to my normal triggers.
I'm actually feeling a lot more inspired, and I don't feel so at the
(06:15):
effect of these giant mood swings Iwas having. And my poor son was
like, Mom, you better figurethis out. So what it did for
me is it awakened in me thisgiant curiosity of what would happen for the
next year of my life if Icommitted to five minutes a day doing these
(06:39):
somatic exercises. Now, I gotto tell you, it's only been a
few months, but what I'm noticingand then I'm walking a group of people
who who do live coaching with meor group coaching with me, and I'm
giving it to them. I'm saying, hey, guys, do this every
day five minutes, that's it.Maybe some of you only do it for
three, No big deal, andsee what starts to happen in your world
(07:01):
where we met this morning, andsome of them are reporting that they notice
that they feel dynamically different. Andso, you know, it's one thing
to process a trigger emotionally. Mentally, it's one thing to sort of understand
where it came from or why youare the way you are, certain addictions
(07:25):
or behaviors that you have. Butit's a whole another thing to literally,
like I'll call it cleaning out yourhouse. So you're getting rid of the
cobwebs, you're literally like like eliminatingany old imprint that's still left on your
(07:54):
nervous system around your triggers. Andwhen you can basically change your identity and
you're simultaneously working on your nervous system, you literally can completely transform your life.
And so there are so many modalitiesout there, and you know,
(08:15):
none of them are right and noneof them are wrong. They're simply just
offerings of things that people have usedthat have worked for them, and they
want to share it with others.Therapy works right for those that are into
plant medicine or psilocybin, it canwork right. But here's what I've always
(08:39):
been fascinated by is how do wedo it naturally right? I was fortunate
enough to spend eight years both inthe jungles of South America and working with
a shaman who was born in Louisianaand traveled all over the world, and
he leaved in using this breathwork. His teacher was Frank Natali, if anyone
(09:05):
knows that name, brilliant, brilliantman. Well, my teacher studied with
Frank Natali and and he would teachthis this breath work called Breath of Fire,
in which we learned how to naturallyactivate the DMT in our penial glands.
So, DMT is a drug calleddimethotrip to mean, and it lives
(09:26):
in the body as a natural substance, but it's most of the time dormant.
You take a drug like you know, psilocybin, also known as mushrooms
or ayahuasca, it activates or sanpedro. It activates the DMT in your
pineal gland. But guess what youcan also do it naturally through breathwork.
And I don't know about you,I don't like to be out of control
(09:52):
in that way. And you know, I've never done ayahuasca. It's not
something that my body when I getclose to it, my body has a
pretty strong reaction, averse reaction, and I kind of like go the other
way. So in this, inthis conversation, you know, I'm a
huge proponent of how can we findhealing in natural ways? Now? Supplements
(10:18):
are good. You know, ifyou need to take anxiety medication, take
anxiety medication right if you need to, you know, feel the urge to
do plant medicine because you think that'syour calling. Try it. But where
where I kind of draw the linerwhere I get a little iffy in my
(10:41):
own world around this is whenever webecome dependent on anything, we remove ourselves
as the source of healing. I'mgonna say that again, whenever we become
dependent on anything, we remove ourselvesas a source of healing. And so
(11:01):
I like natural ways of doing anythingbecause you then know that you are the
source for being able to heal. Now, we might need coaches or therapists
or medicinal practitioners to hold space forus. But at the end of the
day, if you become dependent onthat as your self awakening, it's it's
(11:24):
it becomes a bit of a slipperyslope, at least in my opinion.
And so there are a couple ofreally amazing ways that I think that you
can heal your nervous system long term, because here's what happens is the majority
of behaviors that we are stuck inthat we keep trying to heal, and
(11:46):
we keep trying to use outside circumstancesor sources to give us the information for
what we need to do to heal. We're repeating the pattern that the answer
is not inside of us. Andso when we're looking outside of ourselves for
the solution, we become dependent. We get that we are the main source
(12:11):
of our own transformation. And soI love natural sources of healing because it
allows you to know that you cando it right, that you don't need
anything special. And I love somaticexercises because you're using your own physical body.
(12:31):
And so what happens is people goout in the world, they're cognitively
they know, Okay, I'm obese, I'm overeating, I cognitively know that
I'm overeating because I had a sexualabuse, and I'm putting on extra weight
to avoid looking sexy because if Ican avoid looking sexy, then I won't
(12:52):
get attention. And if I don'tget attention, then I don't have to
worry about getting sexually assault And ifI don't have to worry about getting sexually
assaulted, then I'll feel safe. But my question to all of you in
that scenario is there's a freedom inthat, right, there's not freedom in
(13:16):
that And so what this does isas long as I am doing a certain
behavior, that certain behavior is quoteunquote keeping me safe. But it's not
true that it's keeping you safe becausethe trauma, the memory, the experience,
the pain is still in your body. It's still a memory in your
(13:41):
nervous system. And most people's nervoussystems are completely taxed twenty four to seven,
especially now in this day and agewhere it's like, you know,
like there's so much information coming atus, all at once and at a
very rate. And I got tobe honest, it's hard to let your
(14:03):
nervous system heal if you don't takethe time to figure it out. And
so my my favorite thing is takingthree minutes in the morning and doing what
I call sematic exercises, and I'llput together on my website a little four
minute video. I'll give it awayfor free. You just have to,
you know, give your name andemail or find a way to give it
(14:24):
away. I'm not sure. Andit's just a quick four and a half
minute video in what you can dothese sematic exercises. I also teach it
in my Breakthrough Body Challenge, whichwe're going to do another one in the
beginning of September, and I'll giveit away. So when you find this,
(14:45):
if you got it and you're like, hey, it's I don't see
it on your website, send usa message, send us an email to
Katherine at Katherine macintosh dot com,and we'll do our best to send you
the link as soon as it's ready. So this concept of when you use
your body to literally rock your nervoussystem into safety, and when your nervous
(15:11):
system feels safe, now you haveaccess to your awareness. So what most
people do is they have their nervoussystem basically in fight or flight, and
when you're in fight or flight, you cannot be aware of what you're aware
of So you might be a brilliantbusiness person, but you're having a hard
(15:35):
time making a decision that would moveyour business forward. And now you're financially
in what might be the stress zone. And when you're financially in the stress
zone and you're stressed out, it'spretty hard to relax your nervous system to
make an intuitive choice that would movethe needle of your business forward. And
(15:58):
I'm giving different examples because this happensin all areas of your life you don't
even realize. And I mean Iwork with people from all over the world,
from all walks of life. Ifeel very fortunate to work with who
I work with and what I do, and people really trust me with some
of their most you know, vulnerablemoments in their life and also some of
(16:22):
their scariest some of the ones wherethey just feel like they're falling apart and
they need someone to show up forthem. And I'll tell you that when
we work with and I primarily almostalways, and it makes me want to
cry. Work with the first thingI do is work with someone's nervous system,
and then they start to feel better. I recently worked with someone who
(16:45):
went through a life experience no oneon the planet should ever have to experience,
and as a result, to justsurvive, you know, the doctor
suggested taking some medication, some antianxiety, some anti departs sense right,
and and I looked her, Isaid, I don't blame you. I
would take them for as long asyou need. Right. And a couple
(17:07):
of days later after after we worktogether, she called me and she said,
she said, you won't believe it, but uh, I actually took,
like, uh started going off ofone of my medications and I actually
feel alive again. And she's like, I'm gonna I'm gonna take a lot
of time with the other one,but at least I'm off of one,
and I know that it's possible. Now I can see the light. And
(17:32):
that's all all of us are evertrying to do. Right. Uh yeah,
hold on one second. Uh yeah, yeah. So we do have
(17:53):
a live caller, but you know, I'll just instead of typing, so
we won't take that call today. That's not appropriate for what we're doing for
today's conversation. But she can callback another day and we can do that.
So but tell her thank you forcalling in. If I have time
to talk about it at the veryend, I will, because I bet
(18:14):
a lot of people want to knowright how you end a relationship on good
terms, but I don't want togo there yet. So this point is
is that when when our nervous systemsare not in a balanced state, and
we go to try to make alife change and your nervous system isn't balanced,
(18:41):
the external circumstances you are choosing tomake that life change cannot last very
long. So let's go back tothe diet example. In the diet example,
when you go on a diet andyou're really excited, but guess you're
in fight or flight about food. You don't feel safe in your body,
(19:03):
you don't feel safe about food, you don't like who you are. So
you're doing your best to attempt tochange how you feel based on your external
behaviors. And so you're like,oh, if I go on a diet
and I lose the weight, thenall feel better. And if I feel
better, then all make better lifechoices. Well, I've tried that.
(19:23):
I got myself down to ninety sixpounds and it didn't work, and I'm
nowhere near ninety six pounds. Ilook like I'm going to like fall apart
at ninety six pounds, right, and so it's like it's like it's not
an external change. And so whenyou begin to heal the nervous system,
(19:45):
you begin to balance the nervous system. Then you make different choices that support
like the external solution, but itcomes from an internal choice because now you're
balancing your nervous system. And soyou know, you can also research and
(20:07):
look up somatic exercises and I'll domy best to have this thing up for
you. If you guys follow meon social media on Instagram or Facebook,
those are kind of my two mainones. I'm also on TikTok and on
YouTube. But if you follow meon the Instagram or the Facebook, I
(20:29):
can we can put a link inso you can get access to this four
and a half minute video of reallysimple exercises that I do that I'll walk
you through. But there's people onsocial media doing it, and if you
resonate with them more, go findthem. Right, It's all about using
tools that people you like. Andso when you begin to change from the
(20:51):
inside out your nervous system, whatyou're doing is your letting go. When
the nervous system heals, you're lettinggo of the original root trauma. When
you let go of the original roottrauma, you can relax. When you
relax, you make wiser decisions, you make better life choices. But now
(21:12):
you're also in a receptive mode ratherthan a fix it mode. You're in
creation mode rather than I need tochange mode. And that is usually a
(21:33):
key moment that you're probably in judgmentof where you're functioning from. And so
I always say to people, youknow, people always ask me like,
do you have any regrets? AndI say, no, I've made a
lot of, you know, cutelife choices. And I know this conversation
well because I was someone who didn'tbelieve in myself, who didn't realize that
(21:56):
my whole life, my nervous systemwas in fight or flight. So I
married someone who was extremely abusive, who you know, was extremely violent.
I knew I shouldn't have married thatperson. I lost a lot of money
giving people money who I thought Icould trust. But the truth is I
(22:18):
wasn't trusting myself right. And sowhen that happens and our nervous systems are
compromised, no amount of external choicesright will get the results that you're looking
for. And so as you know, as somebody who sees clients in person
(22:41):
or who works with clients long distance, whether on zoom or on the phone.
The first thing I'm always working onwith someone as your nervous system.
And I tell people all the time, like, if you can touch that
spot on your basically at the baseof your tailbone, right, so our
tailbone kind of curves nerves and wheresort of like the butt crack is,
(23:03):
there's that bone right right in thebuck crack. And if you can touch
that and find a way right andyou can do it right now, if
you're listening, if you're watching whereveryou are in the world, and you
just touch that spot in the body, right, And if I can sitting
up right now, you could doit lying down, you can do it
sideways. But all I'm doing isI'm touching that spot on my body.
(23:29):
I'm basically saying hi to that tailbonearea, and I'm asking the energy that's
there. Right, if it's possiblefor me just to surrender a half of
a percent, right, can Ilet go a half of a percent?
(23:53):
Can I let go one percent? And as I did that, I noticed
that my jaw relaxed. I noticedthat my shoulders dropped. There we go.
And so when you on a dailybasis, three to five to ten
(24:18):
minutes a day, your choice, you begin to do little practical exercises to
genuinely heal the nervous system. Andwe're healing the nervous system, we're removing
the imprint that the traumas had onour system. Right. They say that
(24:38):
one of the most traumatizing things toa baby when they're little is really loud
noises. Right, And there aresome of us that are probably more prone
to loud noises, to getting shockedwith loud noises. There are some who
(25:00):
are more you know, I don'twant to say adaptable, but who don't
get as severely triggered. Right. If you guys ever follow a gentleman by
the name of gobor Mate. He'sa brilliant man. And I've heard a
few episodes that he's been on andhe talks about you know, he was
(25:22):
born in Auschwitz during the time ofwar, and his nervous system really like
was born under massive distress. Hismother was under massive distress, and so
he spent a childhood, you know, really struggling because he was born without
(25:48):
that feeling of safety. And youknow, if I'm being honest, I
think that even in today's day andage, the more that we uh continue
to live at such a fast pacedenvironment, we're endangering all of us of
making it a habit to try tolive a fast pace life without a whole
(26:15):
lot of balance, and that takesour nervous system completely out of whack.
And no wonder why we're addicted toswipe left and three second videos. And
it's funny, you know. Itry to be on TikTok, I try
to make quick videos, but Ijust I'm not programmed to do that,
(26:40):
you know. And maybe down theroad, I'll hire someone to take longer
snippets of my conversations and do littletidbits. But if I'm just out of
the blue taking a moment and tryingto make a ten second clip on something
that feels really meaningful to me,I personally have a really hard time doing
(27:03):
that. And So when we slowdown, when we find a way to
relax the nervous system, when wefind a way to drop into our bodies,
when we recognize that we are thesource for healing, we might need
support along the way, right, but ultimately we're the only ones who can
(27:30):
change it, because like I usedto, you know, I have worked
with a lot of people and alot of different channels and avenues and different
life experiences and different things they're lookingto heal. Well, this is when
I know someone, anyone out there, No one can change your behavior for
(27:51):
you. Right, you are theonly person in the world that could change
your behavior. And guess what,You're only going to change that behavior when
you hit rock bottom, when youdecide enough is enough, when you're just
sick and tired of being sick andtired. Maybe you've got a diagnosis that
(28:14):
scared you to death literally right,So no one knows the circumstance when you're
in that moment, ready to makethat choice to change your life. But
what I will tell you is,no matter how hard somebody tries to support
you to get you to change, until you are absolutely ready, you'll never
(28:40):
make that change. And so thisis about getting you ready, getting your
nervous system ready, getting your heartready, getting your body ready, getting
your mind ready. And once youstart doing these somatic exercises, it makes
a huge difference and what you're capableof. So that's what I got so
(29:06):
far. We will be back afterthe break, talking more about ways to
heal your hurt nervous system and whyit's so important Ome Times TV. Do

we are back from the break, ready to dive into what I really think
is such an important topic, whichis the benefits of healing your nervous system.
(32:08):
And you know, I think thatif we taught people how to heal
their nervous systems, which maybe I'mhaving this conversation because that's something I'm supposed
to be teaching but if we taughtpeople and we gave people the tools.
So I'm going to give you afree video. It's not even yet ready,
(32:29):
Like I was not prepared. Ididn't even know I was going to
do this, but this topic reallypopped and so today it's about healing your
nervous system. And I'm live,so I don't have a pre this was
not pre prepared. I do havea video that I have shared with programs
in the past. One is calledthe Breakthrough Body Challenge, and We've got
(32:50):
this video ready to go, butI just have to set it up so
you can have a link, downloadit for free and have access to it
and then do it. But ifyou want to go research somatic exercises,
you know on Instagram or on Facebookor on YouTube, and I'm sure there
is a slew of possibilities. Butimagine if the world wasn't operating, you
(33:19):
know, from a stressed state, from an anxious state. So it's not
about not having fear or not havinganxiety or not being stressed. It's about
feeling resourced enough so when those momentsarise, you are resourced and you know,
like look like here's an example.Look at the Caveman days. No
(33:44):
one said I'm not going to goout hunting today because I'm having a panic
attack. That wasn't even a partof our society, you know, over
the counter drugs were not a partof our society. It's as we get
away from. One of the quickestways to heal your nervous system get out
in nature, right, do somaticexercises. Touch your tailbone and see with
(34:10):
your eyes closed if you can softenthat tailbone by anywhere from behalf of a
percent to a percent, and you'llnotice that things around your body will begin
to soften. Right. Another wayyou can heal your nervous system is you
can take your hands to your heart. You can do a few breaths.
(34:31):
You can take one hand to heart, one hand to belly, do a
few breasts. Meditation is a greatway to learn and trust yourself how to
calm your nervous system. But workingwith the nervous system itself, it's an
internal job, right, And howcan you change something internal so that it
(34:57):
manifests externally is you do the internalwork right. One of my favorite people
who talks about this is doctor JoeDispensa Right, somebody who he had a
horrible accident in his twenties, gothit on a bike by an oncoming car
and you know, basically was paralyzedand you know, shattered parts of his
(35:23):
spine and the doctor said he'd mostlikely never walk again unless he had surgery.
And he said, well, I'mnot doing that. I'm going to
see if I can use my brainto talk to my spine, to rewire
the molecules of my body, tosee if I can heal myself. And
here's what I know. If doctorJoe can do it, you can do
(35:45):
it. If you're suffering or strugglingin any way, you can do it.
But the first part is you alsohave to believe that it's possible.
And so, like, you know, we got a question before the break
about, you know, how doyou end a relationship on good terms if
the other person doesn't want to endit. That's a question that's based on
(36:08):
not fully having a healed nervous system. If you have a healed nervous system,
you're resourced enough to trust that you'reenough. If someone doesn't want to
end it and the other person doesthat, they're like, like the the
what happens is when our nervous systemsaren't healed. We grasp at things to
(36:30):
hang on to, and we alldo it. We grasp at solutions that
we think will be the solution thatwill help us, and very rarely is
that ever the truth. And soI truly and I actually, like I've
never actually talked about this topic inthis way. I feel blessed to do
(36:52):
what I do to you know,be able to hold space for people's most
vulnerable moments where they you know, get scared and they just need someone that
they can trust with very sensitive, vulnerable information. And almost always in every
single person there's an element of thenervous system not being healed. And so
(37:16):
I truly believe that if we canget to a place where we can learn
to self soothe our own nervous systems, not be dependent on anyone else to
do it for us. It doesn'tmean we can't use somebody else, but
we start to learn how to doit from the inside out right like an
(37:39):
inside job, then it will trulychange. One the way you look at
yourself to the way you make decisionsin your life. Three your need to
want to have things happen your way. Part of most of us trying to
(37:59):
control outcomes or control other people orhave things work out the way we want
them to work out. Is becauseour nervous systems aren't relaxed, and when
they're not relaxed, we try tocontrol the outcome right, totally crazy.
So breath work can be amazing, meditation, yoga, calming yourself down,
(38:23):
getting in a float tank. Butthose things, some of those things might
just be like temporary moments where youheal it. I truly believe that somatic
exercises certain breath work and like workingwith the mind and the body internally to
(38:44):
heal it from the inside out.You being empowered to know that it's possible.
Yes, people can hold space foryou to walk you through it.
But taking a moment to go,oh do I feel safe around the people
I'm with, and you start tosort of adopt your energy or create an
(39:09):
energy in which you start to feelsafe. Huge, huge moment, really
truly huge moment. And so there'snothing wrong with you, there's no problem
to solve, there's nothing to fix. And yes, things can be scary,
(39:30):
life can be hard, life canbe downright terrifying. Right, deal
with a lot of people who aresuffering from loss of some form or another
right, loss of identity, lossof a loved one, loss of finances,
(39:52):
right, large quantities or sums offinances. And when you go,
oh, I'm still here, right, Oh, still have a roof over
my head. Oh okay, Iguess I'm safe. Oh, still being
you know, taken care of thoselittle moments in time where you catch yourself
(40:23):
rewiring your habits and thought patterns. That's when your nervous system really begins to
take care of you. And whenyour nervous system is taken care of you
now no longer in fight or flight. When you're not in fight or flight,
your metabolism works better, your digestionworks better, your thyroid works better,
(40:50):
your penal gland works better. Yourthird eye, like everything in your
body, functions so much better, like a well oiled machine. When that
fight or flight is not in play, and you know this conversation is so
(41:15):
important, there is nothing wrong withyou, no problem to solve, and
nothing, nothing, nothing right WhitneyHouston song, and I will save your
ears because I will not sing it. That would be very bad. But
(41:36):
your nervous system will begin to exhale. When it exhales, you'll begin to
tap into and be connected to yourawareness in a great way. When you're
connected to your awareness, you're moreupright with your posture, You're more in
a receiving mode, right, andsort of all of the pieces come together.
(42:07):
So if you've been listening to thisepisode and you're like, Wow,
it's making a lot of sense,Catherine, making a lot of sense.
Where do I start? You startsmall, right, you start just choosing
(42:32):
to begin to do these exercises sothat you can wake up to a really
different reality. So talk therapy mightwork for you temporarily. It might open
your eyes to a world you didn'tknow it was possible. When I first
(42:52):
found to talk therapy, I wasmesmerized. When I found dance, I
was even more mesmerized because I waslike, oh, this is much more
healing for me. Right when Ifound yoga, I got to fall apart
and come back to myself mesmerized.Everything I've ever tried in my life,
(43:14):
I've been mesmerized or dazzled by itin some way because it served a purpose.
And so I'm not going to goout and tell you there is a
formula you need to follow. That'snot me, that's not who I am.
But I will tell you that themore that you pay attention to healing
(43:37):
the nervous system to I'm telling yousomatic exercises five minutes a day. Right,
when the nervous system heals, everythingelse works. So, my friends
(44:00):
invite you to really take the timeto consider, right, what would be
possible in your life if you beganto work on doing an inside job right
(44:20):
and instead of being so focused onlooking for an outside solution. Right,
start with your nervous system first.Don't make don't make a big life choice
or even a small life choice whenyou are under duress. I don't know
(44:42):
if you've noticed it, but almostalways in every walk of life, almost
everywhere in the world, right, when we make a choice out of a
deressed state, distressed state, itrarely works out the way we meant it
(45:04):
to. And so with that beingsaid, I just want to thank you
for taking the time. If thisresonates with you, it's time to get
to work. Do some research.Look out on the web. There's lots
of ways to do it. DoctorJo Despenza does a great meditation right.
(45:31):
You can begin touching your tailboat usingbreath work. Definitely do some somatic exercises.
We'll have it up on the websitevery soon and you'll be able to
download a free video. But ifyou don't want to wait, go look,
right, don't go wait, golook. But if you hear this,
(45:52):
it'll later date and you're like,I want to see what she's given
away, right, given away forfree? Because my friends, if the
planet had every all eight billion peopleon the planet had resourced nervous systems,
felt comfortable in their own skin, knew their value and their worth, we'd
(46:14):
have a very different world. Somay this be a reminder to take a
moment today, Slow down, takea moment today, take an extra breath,
take a moment today when you're aboutto have a panic or an anxiety
attack, and ask if you mightjust be really aware. And so I
