line with me because he's my main guy over at
the Rampark Casino yesterday telling you where to get the
dogs barking Ronnie be Good morning, Ronnie. How you doing.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Hey Jimmy, good morning.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
It's beautiful Sunday out here.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Yes, it is very beautiful Sunday. Finally got the sun
shining along with the dogs barking. Brought him back again,
my main man from Sedona, Arizona, showing me the tickets.
Let me know these putting cast together. We still try
to get that show put together and organized on our schedule.
Dan Cameron d Sports Letter, good morning, how you do it?

Speaker 5 (01:13):
Hey, Good morning JV. It's always good to be honest.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I appreciate that. Got to drop a little bit of
grease for you, waking you up early this morning again.
Gonna be giving you some more college basketball this Sunday,
a little bit of NBA this Sunday as well. Gonna
be having Daryl Harris from KLAS CBSA stopping by the
Big board on the half hour. So it's a great
morning yesterday, Ronnie B. Let's talk about some of the

(01:36):
dogs we gave out. As one I told you BYU,
b Yu, if you weren't scared, you had to drop
grease and put money on it BYU taking down Arizona
on the road last night, win by one, lose by none.
You know that's my saying, Ronnie B. What did you
think about that play?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Go ahead, yeah, have a good, good play. I mean,
we did good yesterday, trucked the board.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
It was a great day for all of us.

Speaker 3 (01:58):
That's right, putting cash in your pocket. Let's talk about
your player of the day. You ended up getting me
on that when you gave out Clemson. Clemson was able
to get it done in the Azz, all the way
down in the heart of Texas. How do you think
Clemson is gonna fare out? You think these guys are
gonna get a good seed in the a SEC tournament.
And do you think they can maybe pull off the
upset of Duke, because what we saw Duke do yesterday

(02:18):
was some heavy work.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
But go ahead, Well, Clemson will be in the dance,
and I think there'll be a four or five seam.
There's no problem. I don't think they're gonna match up
well again due right now to me, it doesn't look
like anybody's gonna match up well.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yes, Duke is playing some great basketball, Dan Carameron, you
hanged tight, because when I come back from this commercial break,
we're gonna jump into a straight college basketball straight grease.
Let's get the money.

my may man Dan Cameron back on the line with you.
Along with me and Ronnie B. We're playing a little
bit of basketball, telling you where the grease is at
because we've been rocking the dogs in college basketball. Shout
out to my main man legally here in Las Vegas,

(04:19):
one of the big time attorneys who's helping me getting
my program put together and that's why we're doing it
the way we're doing it. So again, guys, thank you
so much for getting this together with me. Ronnie B. Again,
another applause for you. Shout out man, you have been
doing great in college basketball. We have been knocking it
out of the park. I mean, it's just it's just
weird because you know, I haven't watched a lot of

(04:39):
hoop and when I looked at, you know, the late
season hoops, which is normally when I get into it
around January, I've been seeing some really good college basketball
being played across the board. These guys are you know,
necessarily playing more with pride now I'm not seeing the
blowouts and one of the things that I'm seeing last
year where teams would just lay down and give it up.

(05:03):
And again, I'll go over to you, Dan Cameron, because
you've been waiting, chomping at the bit here. What have
you seen in college basketball this year? Have you seen
the marked improvement as I have? Have you seen teams
that need to get better get better? And are you
seeing now there being some more interest in the NCAA
tournament because I heard about another tournament out here in
Vegas calls the Cup or something like that. You got

(05:24):
to you see, remember I told you a couple months
back later you couldn't put down the cup old uncle
Joe there. But as I was saying before, college basketball
has really picked it up. It's quite interesting. There's some
players that are emerging and getting not star driven as
it was in the past. But we are seeing the
development of the college basketball in the NIL era improve,

(05:46):
especially amongst the top twenty five. But go ahead, Dan Cameron.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
Yeah, yeah, college basketball is man. It's fun to watch
this year.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
It's very competitive.

Speaker 5 (05:55):
Like you said, I mean, I think and you know,
NIL needs to be happening in the office. The effect
that it hasn't football seems to be kind of helping
these college basketball teams a little bit more, making them
more competitive and closer games, and kind of closing in
the talent level with for everybody there, you know, I mean,

(06:16):
b YU, they have the number one star coming in
next year.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
There you go.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
They paid them, you don't know, bunch of millions of
dollars or whatever.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
But it just goes to.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Show, I mean something like this in basketball and IU.
So the NIL actually might be a really good thing
because you only have five players and it only takes
one to two guys, and almost any college can afford
one to two guys, you know, and those guys, you know,
good chemistry, and you never know what's going to happen,
you know.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Well in college basketball basketball, yes, because college basketball is
where the NIL got started. Ed O'Bannon shut the door
down on that. But like I was saying, you know,
getting these young men to come out and play some
good basketball. And the young lady I saw Baylor put
in work yesterday watching the ladies play ball I'm liking

(07:06):
what I'm seeing on the basketball court. Going over to you,
Ronnie B. Before we get into today's selections, I want
to talk about a game that we had yesterday Houston
Cougar's and the Iowa State Cyclone. Iowa State, they got
you the points. Like I said, I told you, they
weren't going to get you the money line, no shot.
But Iowa State. Now with that extra loss, do you

(07:26):
think we're going to see some shake up in the
top twenty five? As I talked about today, got a
couple of teams on the line. We got Saint John's,
we got Yukon, We've got some big games lined up,
we got Purdue, we got Indiana. So there are some
opportunities now for a few of these teams to move
up and down in the rankings coming into their conference tournaments,
which again are much more important than they've been in

(07:47):
the past because of seeding. Okay, with the conferences being
the way that they are now. In the transfer a portal,
you have to have a good showing to attract good transfers,
but also to at least stay relevant in the marketplace
because we're talking about big money with these kids. But again,
Ronnie be go ahead, your thoughts.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Brought that what Iowa State played a tough game yesterday,
but Houston is as you saw yesday if you watch
the game, their defense is smothering and we hit that
under bit. So we gave that out yesterday to the
listeners as well. So I don't think they'll move. I
don't think they'll move down in the rankings. If they do,
maybe one or two clicks still being their top ten.
I believe because as we said yesterday as well, the

(08:28):
cream is rising to the top. And we said all
the top five teams won yesterday, I said, play them.
It's that time of year. We're getting close to March madness.
The coach is good at the best levels, and that's
what we're going to see coming down the stretcher.

Speaker 3 (08:42):
I love going over to you, Dan Cameron. In college basketball,
we did see a couple of disappointments. You know, Kentucky,
they weren't able to get it done yesterday, and that's
just it's just one of those things, man, when you
when you look at it from the perspective of big
time college basketball. The names and I know that when
I looked at some of the commercials for the Cup

(09:03):
that's going to be here in Vegas at the T
Mobile Arena. You know, give these guys a shout out.
I'm seeing a lot of teams kind of five hundred
middle of the road type teams, if you will, that
might be vying for that. It's kind of a big
name invitational, if you will. But you know, to piggyback off,
Ronnie B said, you know, the cream is righting to
the top. The better teams are getting better. But when

(09:24):
I look in the top twenty five and I'm seeing
sub twenty one teams, Kentucky, Arizona, these are all teams
that lost. Okay, you got Kansas still kicking around in there.
Is it time for some of the mid majors to
get the respected they deserve. And I know you're a
small school guy, which is why I'm asking you this,
because we're seeing some really good play out of some
of the smaller schools and maybe some of the lesser

(09:45):
known major conferences. But go ahead, well, you know.

Speaker 5 (09:50):
And that's always been the thing in college basketball. I mean,
remember a couple of years ago, Butler went to the
championship game what like two out of three years or something.
I ess, so you know you can never and maybe
I'm wrong. I know they went one one.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
Year, but no, they did good. They did good. Send
a couple of guys at the league ahead.

Speaker 5 (10:07):
But I mean, but we see that every few years,
we see a small school just kind of get hot
and then beat out these bigger schools, the more well
named or the blue bloods as they like to call them.
So yeah, I mean, that's that's just the wonderful thing
about college basketball.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
I think it's you know, it's one of the best brands.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
Of sports out there.

Speaker 5 (10:27):
Yes, the little guy, the dogs always barking, and the little.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Guy can win in college basketball.

Speaker 3 (10:33):
That's the key. And when we talk about some of
these smaller schools, looking at some of the teams that
are winning today, let's get into it. This action being
brought to you by our friends over at FuboTV. Go
to foobot dot tv, dot com, slash JB. I say
it five hundred times every single year. Make sure you
get over there, get that foodbow TV guy. It'll save
you some money. But I'm not gonna hound you. I'm
not going to beat you down if you don't. It's

(10:56):
just when the game is on and then you see
that cable thing go loading up. Well, missed your opportunity.
But let's get into it talking about college basketball today.
The big time matchup early in the morning, rotation number
eight eleven Saint John's Johnny's aka the Red Storm going
up against those Yukon Huskies. Yukon has been on a

(11:17):
tear trying to get back to relevance here and when
you look at it from the perspective of trying to
figure out if they are going to continue to be
national championship contenders, I'm not too sure about that because
I'm looking through the top twenty five and I'm not
seeing any Yukon. I'm not too sure what's going on
with that. I think the loss of Seaton Hall knocked
them out of the top twenty five. Last week's seating

(11:39):
all huge Dog that was barking. And now you look
at Saint John's again coming in at number nine, trying
to keep that top ten ranking at twenty and five.
So again I'll start off with you, Ronnie b Saint
John's Patino back in college basketball doing what he does best.
But Yukon still knows slouts to still hold the national championship.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Team in eight.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
This is a good time for Yukon to try to
step up. Saint John's is only minus four today, there's
only two baskets. But you got the Connecticut Huskies a
real dog at plus one seventy five total one thirty
nine go ahead.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
I'm a fan of Saint Johns. I said this in
the last couple of weeks, and I like Patinos, so
I put them in. I put them in the final four.
But today I'm leaning towards taking a points here with Yukon.
I think it's a good match up for them today.
They're playing at Madison Square Garden, which is you know,
it's gonna show no favoritism for either team. Uh And

(12:36):
what I'm looking at here is the shooting percentages of
Yukon outmatch right now Saint John. What's going on with them?
I think Yukon likes the inside game a little better,
and I think they're where they're going to take the
points to them on the inside and at the free
throw line. And I have this feeling that maybe Saint
John's got to win. They've been playing a lot of

(12:56):
close games, but I got to take the four and
a half. It's more than one possition there.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
You go going over to you, Dan Cameron, sound like
one of you guys was trying to eat your phone
there picking up after it fell in between the car seats.
But when you look at this total one thirty nine,
we're seeing a lot of low totals over the last
couple of games. Yesterday we saw that low total in
the Houston game, and Iowa State actually come through for us.
But when you go into a game like this Madison

(13:21):
Square Garden. We saw an under yesterday in the Duke
game just because you know, unfortunately Illinois couldn't even keep up.
I think the total in that game was one eighty,
but this game is one thirty nine. I think this
one goes over today. Your thoughts, Dan Cameron.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
Yeah, well, you know, there's there's two teams in college
basketball that are worse at shooting threes than Saint John's
only two. Saint John's three hundred and forty ninth in
the nation at shooting threes. They they also are one
of the worst at shooting three throws. They're gonna slow
the game down. They do have a good defense, so
one of the both of these teams are tops in

(13:58):
blocking shots, so that talks about their defense.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
A little bit.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
But yeah, I mean, I think the game slows down.
It's probably gonna be an under because Saint John's is
probably gonna make it an under. Mason Squares Garden is
not known as like a a great like shooting court,
so that's gonna you. College teams don't normally play as
well in the NBA Arenas or shoot as well either.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
So well, you couldn't say that about Duke yesterday.

Speaker 5 (14:27):
Duke, there's on another level.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Yeah, Duke, go ahead, Yeah, but go ahead, Dan Cameron
finish that out.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
Well yeah, no, that's that's all I had to say
about that game. I like the under in that sink.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Don liking the under in that one. Ronnie b is
taking the points here again, I'm liking the over. I'm
going over on this game. I think that the MSG
lights are going to force Patino and his crew to shine,
to prove that they are legitimate national championship contenders, even
if it's a hard grind, even if it's one of
those game games where you got to kind of watch
these guys and you know, hope that every basket goes in,

(15:06):
every free throw goes in, you get the rebound. If
it doesn't that's the type of game we're gonna see
here with them today. But I do like this game
going over. Don't count out Saint John's. I still think
they'll get a win. Ronnie B likes that plus four
plus one seventy five for Yukon, But again, I do
like the over in this game. Let's move along to
the game that me and Ronnie have been looking at

(15:26):
for the last couple of weeks. It's finally here, Roddie B.
Purdue versus Indiana, rotation number eight nineteen. The Purdue Boiler
Bakers are heading up that highway over there forty to
get to the Indiana Who's your country at rotation number
eight twenty. Now, this is a game Big ten basketball
State of Indiana. Bragging rights are on the line here,

(15:47):
and I'm liking, really how I feel. I like for
doing this game now because you know, Loveness and all
that good stuff. But I think that Indiana right now
has got some issues. I think they had some issues
with coats something. Somebody was spending money and kids weren't
playing well. I don't know, but Indiana today is a

(16:09):
home doll plus four Briannie B. I'll start off with
you the totals one forty nine. Here Purdue ranked trying
to keep their top twenty five health going at nineteen
and seven. Again, not too happy with that record for
such a high ranking. I know things are going to
change in the top twenty five, but they got to
get a win today to stay in the top fifteen.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
Go ahead, Well, Unfortunately we don't have Gene Katie and
Bobby Knight on the sidelines today to make this game
somewhat interest streaky. But we got the nineteen and eight
Perdue team coming into Bloomington at fifteen and very disappointing
season for Indiana. And I think mister coast Jordan Sisson
is going to be on the way out. I think

(16:48):
he's knowing that, and I think he said that he
probably is not coming back. So it should be an
interesting game today because of the rivalry and the students
and Assembly Hall will be rocking. I like the over
here is gonna be no defense.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I think these guys are going to.

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Be showing shooting from threes with no problem. And I
can't take a side here because obviously I'd take Indiana,
but I just don't think they got it.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
This year.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Produced a little downslide not doing well, but I think
both of them have the shooters on the outside. I'm
gonna play the over here if I had to take it.

Speaker 3 (17:21):
Like in the over here, going over to you, Dan Cameron.
When you look at where Purdue is with that high
ranking number thirteen, I think he could be maybe you know,
strength of schedule, but they haven't been as dominant as
we have expected. And of course Indiana with their struggles,
but Big Ten Tournament, a lot of things can change. Again.
We look at Wisconsin. They are very, very good this year.

(17:42):
No one's really talking about them. But with Purdue being
number thirteen, they're stumbling into this matchup plus one point
fifty for the Hoosiers at home. It seems like a
dog that could be barking. But Purdue needs that twentieth
win today. Is it a win by one lose by
none situation for Purdue. It's kind of expensive at minus
one seventy eight if you want to take them on

(18:02):
the money line and then you got that total of
one forty nine. Ronnie things, it goes over, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Yeah, I mean, you know we're gonna see those red
and white striped overall bouncing up and down in the
stadium going crazy. You know, I think I'm with Runny
beyond the over in this game, although I will caution
because Indiana is three hundred and seventh in the nation
and shooting threes, but they're also one of the top
rebounders on produce one of the worst rebounders. So you know,

(18:33):
I'm with Runny b. I think this is you know,
it's a it's a conference game, big ten game. They're
gonna be hyped a lot of times. Shooting just happens
to people just shoot better when they're when they're playing
their arrival. Sometimes, I think that's gonna be this kind
of game. I think it's gonna be fast paced, and
I'm with Runny be on this one. I think I
do like the over in this game right over. Indianna's

(18:53):
gonna shoot a lot better at three.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
I think I think they will. I do caution though
the rebounding Indiana is small this year. There's no seven
foot five Zach Edy thirty five rebounds a game, Indiana
forty rebounds a game. That's gonna be the difference maker.
So if you want to bet a side here, I
know I'm going against the homer, but I'm looking at it,
and I'm saying, Indiana, buy them up to six at home.

(19:17):
Big ten. Home court advantage should be able to get
you paid. Let's move along to another game that we
had here on the list, Ohio State Ucla staying in
the Big Ten. This is another one of those matchups
where I'm saying to myself, all right, in basketball, you
would expect UCLA to be playing a lot better than
they are. They're not. Okay, this is what it is.

(19:38):
Rotation number eight forty nine the Ohio Estate Buckeyes. They're
heading out to LA. You know how I always talk
about those Midwestern kids going out there to make deals
and to make their connections from Instagram. Rotation number eight
fifty the UCLA Bruins. Is this a team that's gonna dance?
Ronnie b I'm talking to you a little bit about
this today because the reality is when I take can

(20:00):
look at where UCLA is and where they should be
minus six and a half, that seems like a little
bit of a bigger blowout than you would expect for
cla team that really hasn't done that this year. And
then Ohio State coming in as a road doll plus
two thirty. They got here Friday. Now it's game day
total is still one thirty nine, though another low priced game.

(20:22):
So I want to see if you want to take
a side on this one, if you want to go home,
or do you want to take that under go ahead?

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Well, I can't take a toll there because neither one
of those teams are playing the best basketball right now.
But I think Ucla is playing a little better basketball
than how State House State got blown out at home
a couple of days ago by Northwestern. I just don't
see how State bouncing back, especially like you said, traveling

(20:52):
out west Yeah, and playing a tough defense of Ucla.
I'd have to lay the points here and take Ucla
at home.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Over to you, Dan Cameron, your thoughts on that go ahead?

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Talking about the TV sounds like you got some babies
over that.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
Such a it's a class of class of two different
types of teams that play slightly different. You know, I
would say take the point it's it's gonna be a
close game.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
I think, yeah, it's it's I mean, when I look
at where Ohio State is fifteen and twelve gotta play
on the road dig ten tournament, is they're really only shot?
I think to get into the tournament. But you got
Ucla here when I go through the top twenty five again,
a team with a slightly better record than I see
some of these other teams at nineteen and eight. But
then when you go back again to the top twenty five,

(21:45):
let's go down to Purdue at nineteen and seven, Missouri
nineteen and six, Marquette nineteen and six. You got Kentucky
kicking around in there at seventeen and eight. Would a
win today get UCLA back into the top twenty five
because a couple of these teams Arizona seventeen and eight,
just went to seventeen and nine. I think these teams
are gonna slide down. You saw what happened with Yukon

(22:08):
using the Seaton Hall. They fell out of the top
twenty five after winning a national championship. Ucla, even though
they don't win dominantly, as we've seen in the past,
they can get to twenty wins if they work hard
enough today, Ronnie b your thoughts go ahead.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Yeah, I believe UCLA is just outside the top twenty five.
If they gonna win today, that gives them twenty for
the year. Against the big name school Ohio State but again,
these are both mediocre teams. They'll UCLA will make the
big dance, Ohio State won't. So yeah, if UCLA puts
a win on today, it gets to the twenty victories,

(22:43):
they might crack the top twenty. I don't know if
they will, but they'll be awful close.

Speaker 3 (22:47):
There you go, Ronnie B. King of the ramp Park Casino.

There you go, dropping Grease, my may Man, Ronnie b
on the line with me, of course with a Dan Cameron.
So guys, we're having a great day. Basketball has been
working out for us on the pick side. My goodness.
The response I've been getting from listeners and fans that
have been around for the show for a while have
been like, JB, your pick so much better than your
football picks. I'm like, hey, is that a dig? Are

(29:28):
you trying to play me? But they're like, no, man,
we just like the grease that you're dropping with this
college basketball. I told them I would have some NBA
for them now that I've got you on the line,
Darryl and one of you guys that's still got that
feedback eating the phone again, drinking coffee, breathing well, just
all good, guys. I thank you so much for being
on here, for Daryl giving you the floor. It's been

(29:50):
a while. It actually hasn't been a while because I
was just on your show the other night. You've got
an episode coming out. You know, I'm gonna go ahead
and give you an early plug. Uh it's called Shark
Tank NBA something like that. I don't know what you're
gonna call it. I see how that's that old man
in me already forgot. But we talked about some interesting
things that need to happen in the NBA from a

(30:13):
standpoint of not only fans but also what some of
the players are wanting to do. Because you know, the
blowback from the All Star Game, Uh, it was pretty bad,
to say the least. And now you've got some news
coming out about Wimbiyama being out for the rest of
the season with an injury, a blood clot something like that.

(30:34):
This is gonna be causing some consternation with the health
authorities down in San San Antonio because you also got
Greg Popovich still out with another blood slash vein condition
with him having his stroke here. So go ahead, Darryl Harris,
bring us up to speed and we'll get into some
of these picks.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Yeah, No, it's a bummer. I'm not too sure medically,
you know how much the deep dame thrombosis is something
that you know can be cured remedy. Timeline, no idea
on that front. But as an organization, I think they
realized they were still several games FO five hundred and

(31:16):
they're playing catch up right now. They are trying to
quickly get the Aaron Fox acclimated into their team and offensive,
and they realize, hey, we're moving too fast right now
to try and act like this is a title window.
Let's shut the big guy down and he'll be ready
to go next year. And stopping at the bit I
am Matt san Antonio.

Speaker 3 (31:38):
Don't want to hear that that's a championship city. I'm
going to move over to you, Dan Cameron, because I
know you watch a little bit more NBA uh then
the average gentleman here. But I'm talking about this from
this perspective of the Spurs as well as some of
these other organizations around with the load management being the
way it is, the changing of the guard with coaches
less former NBA players as head coaches. You just saw

(32:01):
the issue down in Dallas again, you know, with Darryl Armstrong,
former point guard for the Orlando Magic. He had some issues.
It's just a lot of stuff going on. I talked
about it on your podcast a couple of weeks ago, Darryl.
And we've got this new one coming out. We've got
to see a change of the guard here. And I
may even drop the grease today of what I think
should happen to go ahead, Dan Cameron.

Speaker 5 (32:24):
Sorry, yeah, maybe I'm on mute, so I'm not sure if.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
It's okay.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
I'm sorry. Can you rephrase your question a little bit?

Speaker 3 (32:33):
My question is are you liking what you're seeing out
of the NBA is it betable. You see people who
taking long term tickets on the man. One of you
guys has got to turn that speaker phone off. Gotta
do it. You just gotta mute it. I don't know
what it is. You guys are in a closet hiding
from the bill collect us. But the point I'm saying
is you got to look at it from the perspective

(32:54):
of if you bet on the San Antonio Spurs and
you now end up having a situation where Wembiyama is
out for the rest of the season due to a
medical condition. Your coach is out for the rest of
the season due to a medical condition. We're seeing this
across the board. We saw it with Zion Williamson when
he came in medical condition. He's going to be on
the trade block this season. From what Daryl was talking about,

(33:17):
disappointing output, All Star Game output, disappointing. We need to
see some change in the NBA. I have the perfect
idea of how to do it, but I wanted to
get your thoughts before we went into it.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
Go ahead, Yeah, it's it's definitely less exciting basketball for
the viewer. It's definitely more boring. But in some ways.
You know what, no where where, there's you know where,
there's things like that that happened a lot of times.
That opens it up for people in sports betting to
actually do better. There's you know you sometimes you just

(33:50):
have to switch up your strategy and and look at
the NBA in a different glass and a different lens,
and there's there's definitely other ways to the better and
sometimes it can actually be easier to bet the NBA
without the stars, going yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:06):
Well, I mean without the stars is to say a stretch.
One of the things that I've noticed in the NBA
over the past couple of weeks is to picking up
the parking lot guys, getting guys off of ten day contracts,
things like that. Ronnie B. I'll throw it over to you,
because you're always in the sports book, you get a
little bit more of an inside scoop on this. Talk
to me about what you've been seeing from the sports
batters live over at the rampart and hopefully we can

(34:28):
cut back some of that feedback ahead.

Speaker 4 (34:30):
Yeah, we're seeing less and less action on the NBA,
especially on the daily plays waiting for the playoffs. It's
the excitement's not there. You don't know which guy's did,
and I don't think getting a lot of them playing.
You guys, you got your kawhis and you're Lebron taking
the time to come to the game. So I just
see the NBA is on the downslide and they need

(34:52):
to readjust what they're doing. It's not the old school
basketball that you know. Jordan played all eighty two games,
Cody played all the games. The season ticket holders are
taking advantage of here because they come and bring their
kids to see the stars, and the stars are sitting
in street clothes on the bench.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
You think that's maybe a case that I should look
up for me and some of my guys. But again,
going back to you, Darryl Harris, false of representation, misrepresentation.
You promise to see the stars, the stars aren't. There
could be a case. But going over to you, Daryl Harris,
we had a solution. Do you want to drop it
on my show today or do you want me to
keep my promise and drop it through de Hoop University

(35:29):
One of the best young podcasts out. This guy writes
for rod O Wire in NBA dot Com. He's an insider,
knows the players, hangs out with him all these kinds
of cool things. But we talked about an opportunity here
for change. We can kind of allude to it if
you will, but it needs to happen.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
Go ahead, Yeah, it's tempting, It's very tempting, and the nutshell,
you know, why not? I say, let's do it. But
get right back to six. You know people are upset
with the product. I feel that I've had some betty success. Still,
it's all about how you play it. It's not supposed
to be a handout. You got to do your homework

(36:07):
for your research. That comes with the practice. But if
you are looking to put somebody to blame for whatever
the lack of content amongst the viewers, it might come
down to the commissioner. And you've had a ten year
dating mayor. If you feel like change you can appreciate.

(36:30):
It probably needs to happen at the top. And you
had a great recommendation by saying that, hey, maybe there's
nobody more deserving of that job than Mark Cuban.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
There you go. And the reason I dropped this grease
and to let you put the frying pan down and
make sure the fish was cooking is because you're right
for the NBA and I want you to get credit
for this, Mark Cuban, and we talked about this personally.
I talked about it on De Hoop University, your podcast.
I will clearly have elaborated more, but I'll just touch
on it here. Former NBA owner, very popular with players,

(37:03):
former coaches, and he was respected amongst the owners. Very
important to have that respect, Okay, But he has something
else that the NBA needs. He's got recognizability amongst the
average Americans. They watched Dark Tank. So by having that
type of guy come in an NBA guy, he's already

(37:24):
connected to the sport. That's you know. And another point
that I made on your show that i'll touch on
here is he knows how to turn a loser into
a winner. Look what he did with the Mavericks. Okay,
he brought two of the best euro guys to ever
do it over here with Dirk, put a championship in
that city. Arguably made the Dallas Mavericks more considerably popular
than the Dallas Cowboys over the last couple of seasons.

(37:46):
And I know, I know, I know, but the Cowboys
have been struggling while the MAVs were continuing to build
in that basketball since But to go over to you,
Ronnie B. Your thoughts on that now that the cat
is out of the bag, if you will, you know
JB for Mark Cuban, NBA a commissioner, Okay, he's the guy.
He's got to go there. And I give full credit
to Darryl Harris because he's the one who actually has

(38:06):
the rights to my thought process on this on his show.
But go ahead, Roddie Bee.

Speaker 4 (38:12):
Yeah, I think it's a great idea. I never go
against the Indiana hoosier guy. It's gonna take the lead here.
He knows how to put a good product on the floor.
He knows what to do in business, and you got
to treat it as a business. That I think is
what's happened with the NBA. They're not treating it as
a business. They're letting these players dictate to the owens
what's going on. And that's where the problem starts.

Speaker 3 (38:33):
Right right, And that's one of the key things here.
I forgot that he was a Hoosier. That's right. He
did go to Indiana back in the day. I remember
Mark Cuban when he came in as an innovator as
well from the streaming. He was one of the first
guys to do it broadcast dot Com. He bought the
Mavericks at a fire sale, He started putting the games online.
He introduced NBA basketball to foreign markets at a time

(38:54):
where the internet was in its infancy, if you will,
from a stream met perspective, so I think he's also
going to be able to bring value in that relationship
to the network because the networks right now are missing
NBA basketball. The average American isn't seeing it in the
city parks are empty. So I think he would also
bring back some interest. But there's also a wrinkle in

(39:17):
that that I'm going to talk about on one of
my future shows here maybe, but I'll mention it now.
Rick Patino said the other day they're not taking high
school players. Now, I know, I went over this on
my NIL show, and Daryl Harris, I've talked to you
about this in person. I've also talked to you about it,
Dan Cameron. But Dan, I want your thoughts on this
because if we are able to get Commissioner Cuban to

(39:39):
come in, if you will, and save the league, we
got to look at the one feeder market right now
that no one is talking about that is going to
continue to suffer. I saw it last year with a
couple of my young students. Shout out to real junior
young man forward over at CSN here in Vegas. Go
check them out. These boys a winn into Coyotes. They're
playing some great basketball. But the high school player, these

(40:02):
guys are being left out. Okay, you got a five star,
four star guys, scholarships are drying up. You got four
years of eligibility coming in for JUCO guys, total of
six years. Money is involved, Dan Cameron, I'll give you
thirty seconds on that, and then we'll jump back to
the expert here with my mad man, Darryl Harris. How

(40:23):
do you think that's gonna work out? Because if we're
gonna see this cash proliferation in college and of course
the paid NBA high school players, are we going to
see less participation or are we gonna start seeing more
of a European model where they identify talent early and
start putting these kids in academies.

Speaker 5 (40:39):
Go ahead, Yeah, First of all, I just want to
give credit with cudits do that as a phenomenal introspective
take by Del Harris. Man, that's awesome. I'm not sure
how I feel about the Mark Cuban thing, to be
honest with you, but I will say that the current
commissioner is an absolute clown. And so yeah, we need

(41:00):
we need somebody. And Mark Cuban, that's a you know,
that's a great idea. I mean, like I said, I'm
not sure how I feel about it at the moment,
but it is a fantastic idea and we do need somebody.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
There you go. So you heard it here first breaking
news right now, there's.

Speaker 5 (41:14):
Those guys coming into high school going into the NBA
or into these academies. As you say, I'm not sure
how that's gonna work, but you know, I think with
the NIL I think more more of them will go
to college because they can get paid a little bit
of money and develop their game too then to be

(41:34):
better in the NBA game. There's very few that can
come from high school. I feel like, into college like
a Kobe or Lebron.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
Well yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm even talking about college, you know,
and I'll and I'll take it over you.

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Dan.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
I appreciate your thoughts on that because you kind of
mentioned something the one and Done how college was trying
to hold back the money from the players, and now
that the money is flowing in college, always been flowing
in the NBA. You know, I want to focus on
these high school guys because Rick Patino was very very
clear and a postgame interview that he's not recruiting high
school guys. He's looking at JUCO guys. You got Divisions two,

(42:07):
Division three. It is now a wide open free market
society in basketball, where like you said, the cream is
gonna rise at the top. But I'm looking at participation.
Your average high school that just fields a team and
they go zero to twelve every year, and so I
think those days are over. I think that basketball will

(42:28):
be more traveling teams, more academies. You know, you see
a former NBA players opening schools. Lebron James did one,
Jalen Rose did one. I think you're gonna see more
of that, just because not only the money is involved,
but when you have a player of Rick Patino's stature
saying that they're not taking high school kids, that's gonna
really change the game. Go ahead, Darryl Harris, Yeah, I think.

Speaker 1 (42:53):
It's all of these conversations is two poles. It's because
a there is a bigger, you know, issue kind of
going on with the game domestically specifically that needs to
be addressed. And b there's an encore product that suffers
because the focus isn't on the encore product, on this

(43:16):
surrounding noise which dictates the conversation and the tone right
and overlook, uh, fantastic product that still exists when you
sit down and watch the game.

Speaker 3 (43:26):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
So we do want to get that cleaned up, because
then that that really erases all the noise. I mean,
there's legislature going to Congress now about nil and they're
trying to remove public access to.

Speaker 3 (43:38):
What the no, no, no, no, no no no. We don't,
we don't, we don't want none of them jackaloons. This
is dealing with that stuff right now. Touching this college
basketab we got enough of that. We don't need fifty
five hundred commissioners. Didn't need to be replaced. Touching nothing. No, no,
shoot that down, even if I have to try to
get licensed early. But let's talk about some of the

(43:58):
NBA here. Rotation number twenty nine, the Knicks going up
against the Celtics. I'll go ahead and start with you,
Daryl Harris. Thirty seconds. The Celtics are a team of
destiny here, but we're not seeing that dominance, that recognition
of is he really the guy? And you know who
I'm talking about. I'm talking about Jason Tatum. Is he
gonna be the face of the league or are they
just gonna skip over him like they did in the Olympics,

(44:21):
because he really is, you know, playing some great basketball
right now and no one has given them credit for it.
But I know you will go ahead.

Speaker 1 (44:28):
Jason Tatum will absolutely be dealt with man and Boston
can smell the playoffs. They can smell it. New York
just got absolutely raced. They're trying to get healthy. I
think that that organization is realizing that they leveraged way
too much for Mike Kyle Bridges. They still got a
great core. They'll be in the second round or so.

(44:49):
But Boston man Jason Tatum has a resume unlike almost
any of the player at the age of twenty six.
There you go, and him next to Jalen Brown will
continue to be a problem. As for the matchup today,
I wouldn't go away from Boston, but it also smells
like an over Boston league. At three points tens, they're.

Speaker 3 (45:06):
Gonna let two thirty two is the total on that one,
Going to you, Dan Cameron quick thought, it's Nick Celtics.
How do you like it?

Speaker 5 (45:17):
Yeah, you know it's I think it's not making cookies.

Speaker 3 (45:20):
I know it's not making cookies. I know, I know
it sounds like you're bakings. Sounds like he just closed
up the milk bottle.

Speaker 5 (45:25):
Go ahead, I know the next I know the next
uh you know, just got boat race, as he said.
But I think it could be a little bit closer game.
But yeah, I think the over is probably you know,
I'm with Dell on that one. I think the overs
probably are pretty good.

Speaker 3 (45:39):
And they go on. Yep, going over to you Ryannie
be any thoughts on this one, Nick Celtics. Do you
like the over? Do you think the Knicks trying to
claw their way to forty wins and plus two seventy today?

Speaker 4 (45:49):
Yeah, I'll tell you what. I'm playing this game. Personally,
I'm taking Boston. They own the next They won five
out of the less six a couple of weeks ago,
they beat him by twenty seven four. Think they know
matchups for there very well. Give me Boston Celtics minus
the points today.

Speaker 3 (46:04):
There to go, Boston Celtics minus the points. Guys, we're
getting ready to rock and roll here. It's been a
fun morning, Thank you so much. Had a couple of
college games that we didn't get too. We had USC
versus Rutgers. I'll go ahead and give that a shot. USC.
These guys are the flagship right here, one of seven
point one FMA and fourteen hundred for college and going

(46:26):
back to a little bit of college basketball, the USC
Trojans rotation number eight fifty nine going all the way
out to Rutgers. Now, you know, this is one of
those times where we get this cross country travel between
teams that normally wouldn't be in these conferences. He got
USC only priced as the road dog plus three and
a half. Eric Musselman, he's one of the better coaches

(46:47):
with these younger guys. He knows how to keep him motivated.
Rutgers though, again talking about that big ten, former Big
East home court advantage and the cross country travel. Do
you think Rutgers at minus three and a half a
day can get it done? Only minus one sixty on
the money line, total one fifty three. I'll go around
the board thirty seconds trying to be your thoughts on
this one. Go ahead, so I'm gonna.

Speaker 4 (47:05):
I'm gonna take the point to a USC. I think
they stayed out east because they just played in Maryland,
who's to me, one of the best teams in the
country right now, and they've played them good for the
first half. The second half they let down. But I
think they can hang with Rutgers with a couple of freshmen.
Rutgers did USC for me today.

Speaker 3 (47:21):
He's like in USC, Dan Cameron, thirty seconds, go ahead, Yeah,
give me the under.

Speaker 5 (47:25):
By about ten or twenty points.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
I think just goes way under.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
There you go, going to you, Darryl Harris, your thoughts
on this USC. Can they continue their march to try
to get some quality wins and maybe get in that
large bit coming up in a month? Go ahead?

Speaker 1 (47:39):
Yeah? I used this the other night and I recommend
it again. I would let this game tip off. I
would not.

Speaker 10 (47:47):
I think three and a half is a little I've
leaned UXP, but if it's a one possession game in
the second half, I'm gonna go with Rutgers.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
There you go there in game.

Speaker 10 (47:55):
I believe in no talent over there, and if they
can't show them they have and sprays Bailey and Jim
and Harper.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
Now go with Rutgers. It's the White usc lead. They're
gonna take care of it.

Speaker 3 (48:05):
There you go. Let's jump back over to the NBA.
Got another one here on the line for your rotation
number five thirty three, five thirty four Clippers at five
thirty three Pacers rotation number five thirty four Cavaliers are
also gonna be on the line today. Rotation number five
forty six, five forty five Calves, Grizzlies, Clippers, Pacers, going
around the board. Out of those two games, give me

(48:27):
your best play of the day for those and then
we'll do our best play overall. Ronnie b you start off,
which game and which side you like?

Speaker 4 (48:34):
I'd say, what's the Memphis Cleveland game. I'm I'm gonna
take that over. It's the big numbers, forty eight and
a half. But as I say, if it's a big number,
there's a reason they said it high. Let's go over
to forty eight and a half.

Speaker 3 (48:45):
He likes over two forty eight and a half, Dan Cameron,
out of those two games, what are you like it?

Speaker 5 (48:53):
Yeah? I was looking at that too, So yeah, I'm
kind of with h with Ronny Be on that one.
I like the over on that Grizzlies game.

Speaker 3 (49:01):
He likes the over in the Grizzlies game. Going back
to you, Daryl Harris, again, appreciate you stopping by this morning.
Know you're a busy guy. You're in the middle of
your main season. Here Cavs Grizzlies. Everybody's jumping all over that.
Here the Cavaliers minus six, Grizzly, scrappy team got Zach Edie.
All they got to do is play him in the
middle and let John Mourant go to work. And this
should be a dog barking on the road not too

(49:22):
far from Memphis, going up to Cleveland. Your thoughts go ahead.

Speaker 1 (49:26):
Yeah, now you're on the something one hundred percent.

Speaker 10 (49:28):
I went back Memphis with the point, and if you
can get him to ten points.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
I'd love that. Because Jared Allen got hurt in the
last game and had to go back to the locker room.
Not sure if he's going to play today. But these
are the two best scoring teams in the first quarter
in the NBA. I think that total is going to
be in jeopardy for the Bull game because it has
to be high scoring throughout. But the first quarter or
the first half, I believe in that over the Clippers.

(49:54):
Their defense is amongst the elite in the NBA. I
think they're going to give you any other problems today too,
and went.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
Out right there you go talking about it. My guys,
thank you so much. We got about a minute left.
Let's go around the big board. Best play of the day.
I'll start off with you, Daryl Harrison, you're still on
the line. What's your best play NBA college?

Speaker 10 (50:11):
Go ahead, Hey, would definitely be one of those plays
in the half. I like Memphis and Cleveland the sports
of points today. I'm just not sure about the full game.
I also think that Detroit is the sweeping giant in
the Eastern Conference on a.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Five game win. Street take the money line in the
over Atlanta.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
There you go, Dan Cameron, your thoughts? Best player today?

Speaker 5 (50:35):
Yeah, give me the under in that rests.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
USC game, he's liking the under end Rutgers USC. And
then Ronnie B. King of the ramp Park Casino, what's
your best player today? My friend? And I'll give you mind.
And then we're out of here going to the book
to get that money. We'll say it together, but go ahead.

Speaker 4 (50:48):
I'll tell you what I'm gonna take the game. It's
gonna skip off here in about four or five minutes.
The line has come down since we've been on the
show here from four to a half to three and
a half. Yukon, give me the point in Yukon.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
He's liking the points with Ukon. So again, guys, that's
a rap. Thank you so much for coming on the
