That, I know we are actually a destination, not wing
to fly over stage. Sorry, Brian Snow nothing below for you,
Brian Snow. That's our guy Snowman in the morning in Indiana.
Ronnie Bee's from out in Indiana. Central Coach Chicago out
in Illinois. One of you guys got a little bit
of background noise, But I wanted to talk to you
guys about some of the dogs that we had on
(06:10):
the board yesterday making money in college basketball. If you
look at the parody it's available for you. Got a
great line up today College Basketball Sunday being brought to
you by our friends over at Foobo TV again John
Ryan predicted forst betting playbook and Ronnie Bee, the king
of the ram par Casino here in Las Vegas. So
let's talk about some of the picks that we had yesterday. Ronnie,
(06:31):
it was just me and you rocking on the line yesterday,
and I texted you when things started happening, and you
were like, well, what do you expect? We played? But
let's talk about the first game we gave out Auburn
versus Alabama yesterday, we gave out the dogs. We said,
look that's a valuable play plus one oh five. Take
a money line. Because of the way the spread was
(06:52):
win by one, lose by none, and when they were
able to get that win going so again, you look
at it from the perspective of Auburn beating Alabama in
the battle for the state of Alabama. Is Auburn now
gonna be able to move up at least a spot
or two in that top twenty five? Go ahead, Ronnie
b and then John Ryan your thoughts on that as well?
Speaker 6 (07:09):
Go ahead, ought they would jab Auburn can't go up
any higher. They're number one right now, and what they
showed me yesterday, they're gonna put I'm putting some money
on them to win it all because when you go
into the number two teams home court and you beat
them by you know, eight nine, ten points, you're showing
me that you're ready to go. Yeah, like we said,
(07:30):
Like we said yesterday, they go six seven deep double digits.
Plus I think they have the player of the year.
They're gunny, that's all. I think they're tough, and I
think they're gonna be hard to beat in the tournament.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
There you go, going over to you, John Ryan, let's
talk about it. Auburn. I think you texted me yesterday
that you had Auburn as one of your top plays.
Talk a little bit about that. I know we missed
you yesterday, but again, yep you did. You said Auburn
was your sec game of the month, so I know
you probably put like ten units on it. Let's talk
about that a little bit and then some of the
things that you saw it yesterday in college basketball, and
(08:01):
we'll get back to the recap of some of these
wins and then get into today's action. Go ahead, Johnny.
Speaker 12 (08:06):
Yeah, the Auburn team really has separated themselves from the
rest of the field, as Ronnie says, and I truly
have never seen a team in college basketball play the
way they did yesterday.
Speaker 11 (08:17):
They were up double digits and then you knew.
Speaker 5 (08:19):
Alabama was going to make a run at them.
Speaker 11 (08:21):
They did. The game was tied.
Speaker 12 (08:23):
I believe it's sixty four sixty four, and Auburn team
was unstazed by it. They have You know, they're in
a hostile environment. Everybody's cheering against them, and it was
almost like they were playing with earplugs and really didn't
care what was going on around them. They just knew that, Okay,
our turn now, and they won the rest of the way.
Speaker 11 (08:43):
Alabama. They even have a.
Speaker 12 (08:45):
League in that game. So think about that, the number
two team in the league in the nation, playing at
home and they never had the lead. And I think
that speaks volumes to what coach Pearl has done at Auburn,
and this team maybe one of the best we've ever seen.
Speaker 11 (09:01):
Over many many decades. You'd have to go.
Speaker 12 (09:04):
Back pretty far, maybe the North Carolina with Jordan teams.
But as Ronnie said, this team is very deep. Their
second string might be able to be a ranked team.
Speaker 11 (09:15):
That's how good they are, and that's how deep they are.
Speaker 12 (09:17):
But more importantly than chemistry in that team, with all
those stud players, the All Americans that are going to
be named on that team, there's no egos and that's
what's making.
Speaker 5 (09:27):
Them all very very good.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
There you go. Quite a game, yes, the Auburn Tigers yesterday.
They played a very well rounded basketball game. I like
the defensive effort, you know, shout out to you know, Alabama.
They played as well as they could. But again, coming
out with that dog win was Auburn. Let's move along
to another game. Yesterday. Ronnie beeB was a homer. We
talked about this Purdue having a few slipoffs. Yesterday, Wisconsin
(09:54):
coming in as the dog on the road down to
West Lafayette and beating Purdue. Now, this was a game
that we have circled here. I thought Purdue was going
to be able to continue to build upon what they
were doing. But we talked about it. They don't have
that control in the paint, relying more on the jump
shots again without Zach eating So going forward to the tournament,
do you think that Purdue might unfortunately begin to regress
(10:16):
as the Big Ten continues to get stronger?
Speaker 6 (10:18):
Go ahead, Well, I think they're The ranking of number
seven for Purdue, I think is a little high. They
had seven losses. That's to me, that's not a number
seven team in the country. I don't know who's voting
for them. I think they're voting on the past mat
don't the present. And I think, as we said yesterday,
also we liked the over in that game because we
talked about Wisconsin's scoring power and I did like the
(10:40):
fact that Wisconsin's were the number one free throw shooting
team in the nation. So we hit that one pretty
good yesterday. But yeah, Produce should not be ranked number
seven in the country.
Speaker 4 (10:49):
Oh boy. Going over to you guys, they're ragging on
my alma mater, but I'm talking about it today, John
Ryan for Due, we're seeing these guys now with seven losses.
Ronnie Bee's talking about them seeming to be regressing in
the Big Ten. Are you worried about them or do
you think they'll be able to pick it up?
Speaker 12 (11:06):
Go ahead, well, I guess one thing to keep in mind.
You're playing in the Big Ten, and granted that's the
second best.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Conference this year in the nation.
Speaker 12 (11:14):
Obviously, the SEC is the most deepest and most competitive
of the group. I think you're seeing in the March
madness the number one seed. Three of the teams Florida, Alabama,
Auburn can all be number one seed, and then a
team from the Big Ten, I guess would be.
Speaker 11 (11:31):
The fourth one.
Speaker 12 (11:32):
But nevertheless, for new is a dangerous team obviously going
through a lot of a lot of problems that are fixable.
It's not a question of their talent, and as Ronnie said,
they got overvalued and now they're probably on the side
of being undervalued moving.
Speaker 11 (11:49):
Forward into this week.
Speaker 12 (11:50):
So I wouldn't be surprised to see them pop up
on my radar with my models and stuff and we
might even have a play on them later. I think
there's more likely to be a play on her new
than a play against.
Speaker 11 (12:02):
Them over the next couple of weeks, So stay tuned.
Speaker 4 (12:06):
There you go, liking the thoughts on that. Let's go
to another game we picked yesterday. This was my dog
of the day. I said, take Vanderbilt in the points.
I said, if you weren't scared sprinkling some money on
the money line. They did let me down, though, but
I went over that with you guys. They can't close
out games. Vanderbilt bubble team yesterday cashing in that doll
(12:27):
position plus twelve, going up against Tennessee. Tennessee again top
five at twenty and four. Now they picked up another loss.
I'm looking at this and I'm saying to myself, is
Vanderbilt a true bubble team? I liked what I saw yesterday.
It was scrappy, but here's the problem. No close out
defense and problems at the free throw shooting line late
(12:51):
in the game. Let's talk about it. Ronnie B. Do
you think that what Vanderbilt has shown you will work
itself out in the SEC tournament and maybe they can
get a few more quality wins, get above twenty wins
and get maybe a decent invite, maybe a lower seed.
Fourteen thirteen, fourteen, fifteen seeds. Go ahead, Ronnie being the
new John ryd.
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Welly, what I'm watching that game a little bit. Yesterday.
They came out shooting guns blazing in the first half
and took that thirteen point lead quick. But the adjustments
Tennessee made on the defensive side and the second half
slowed him down and showed why Tennessee's number five Vanderbilt
seventeen and eight in their ringked tenth in the SEC.
They may be a bubble team. They're a good team,
(13:33):
but again, this is a parody league this year. It's
going to be difficult to see what they can get
for a seed. But yesterday the adjustments Tennessee made to
shut them down in the second hand.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Yep, that's what happened. And like I said, closing out
games making those readjustments. John Ryan, what do you think
about Vanderbilt in the SEC? Is maybe a sleeper as
the SEC is dominant in the top twenty five this year?
Go ahead, Well, I think.
Speaker 12 (13:58):
Dad, you're looking director their schedule, Kentucky coming up on
the roads and they're home against old miss Texas A
and M away Missouri home Arkansas home, both of those
I think are gonna be wins. And Georgia is their
season finale, which they also should win that one too,
That would give them a twenty wins even if they
lose at Kentucky, find a way to lose against Mississippi,
(14:20):
which probably spoke would would.
Speaker 5 (14:22):
Be a win.
Speaker 12 (14:23):
And then Texas A and m is a very tough
matchup on the road. But even if they get those
three and three, they're gonna be twenty wins, and I
think in the SEC this year.
Speaker 11 (14:33):
That's gonna be enough to get a bid. I think
about this too, in this tournament.
Speaker 12 (14:37):
Could there be a more dangerous team than Vanderbilt flying
under the radar.
Speaker 11 (14:42):
There's a lot of questions about them.
Speaker 12 (14:44):
Their record just twenty wins, say hypothetically they might be
a team that could get to this Sweek sixteen just
because they are seasoned in the SDC, So I don't
count them out.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Loving that analysis, John Ryan, again, I was picked these
teams yesterday to put cast in your pocket and have
it make sense for you. Let's move along to another
one of the top teams yesterday, Houston showing you what
they can do on the road down at Arizona. They
played some real, real good basketball. And when I looked
at it from the perspective of where Houston is again
(15:17):
we talked about defense, solid offense. Yesterday nineteen and four
is where they were before that game yesterday and now
moving up into the probably top five, depending on how
things shake out with the rest of the rankings. I
don't think any of the other major teams lost. I
know Florida put a hurt in on South Carolina there
if I'm not mistaken. But going over to you, Rdnie
B Houston, if you like Houston, I know you said
(15:39):
you like Auburn, do you still have that ticket on
Houston maybe to make to the Elite eight coming up
in the tournament?
Speaker 6 (15:44):
Go ahead, well, I think they are a talented team.
Obviously they're showing it with their records. You know, they've
only got four losses in the Big Twelve. Their first yesterday,
they showed what their strength is is defense. They grinded out.
They don't play any man unmanned totally. The problem with
Houston is to go deep is their three point shooting
(16:07):
is not that strong. So yesterday only about twenty nine percent,
but they held Arizona to twenty two percent, So that's
where their strength is on defense. So I think they
can make a good run in the tournament. But I
think when they come against some tough rebounding teams as
Auburn and some shooting, they might have a problem.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
There you go, because when it comes to the three
point shooting in this season, I've seen a lot of
players work in the pain a little bit more, but
the three point shooting does need to be a factor,
especially in these close games. You know, just go back
to the old school way, get that one guy dead
eye in the corner and start knocking them down. Going
back to you, John Ryan talking about the Houston Cougars
at number six right now, do you think they move
(16:45):
up over Tennessee. Tennessee won their game, but it was
a lot closer than the spread, and I don't know
if he you know, ranking guys take a look at that.
But Houston did play dominant defense on the road in
the Big twelve, which is a close third to the
Big for college basketball this year.
Speaker 12 (17:01):
Go ahead, well, first, to be honest, I was on
Arizona yesterday. I thought I had a pretty good live
dog there didn't come through like the Auburn game did.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
But as we know, we don't win them all there.
Speaker 11 (17:13):
But this game.
Speaker 12 (17:14):
What I'm impressed with Houston is when they do clamp down,
like Ronnie said, and like you said, that's when they
have a.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
Chance to win.
Speaker 12 (17:21):
They've lost three games this year by a total of
nine points.
Speaker 11 (17:25):
Most recently they.
Speaker 12 (17:25):
Lost to Texas Texas Tech at home eighty to eighty
one as a and they were priced as a one
point favorite in that game. So Texas Tech is no
slous to say the least.
Speaker 5 (17:39):
So quality losses.
Speaker 12 (17:41):
If you want to call a term like that, you know,
quality losses, there are such things. I think all three
of them are not bad losses. And this is a
team that could post problems against Auburn because Auburn likes
to get out there and score. Auburn also has a
pretty darn good defense in their own right, but not
in the the clampdown style of our Houston team right now.
(18:03):
So it'll be interesting to see how the blend of
a Big Ten Conference style of basketball. We'll go against
either the big tang or steck to the SEC, which
can play fast or slow in any given moment. So
I think Houston will be there. They're not gonna you
know not. I don't see them losing their first round game,
let's put it that way. I think they can make
(18:24):
a deep run and then we'll see how good they.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Are there you go, They're going to be in there
with the school boys. Talk about college basketball today, John
and Ryan, thank you so much for being on the show.
You got to keep it locked here with me, Ronnie
be here on the show. Let's go over two more
games that I gave out two winners on Dog was
barking yesterday at Minnesota, went out to the West Coast
and took down USC on the road. I told you
these guys were trying to get with the girls that
(18:47):
they meet on Instagram, trying to put together some nil
deals out in LA and they were able to squeak
out with that win plus two eighty on the money line.
One of my bigger Dog plays, USC again having trouble
score in the basketball. I talked about that yesterday, Ronnie
be quick thirty seconds on that game. Do you think
USC is going to be able to squeak in from
the Big Ten, because again with that conference being so loaded,
(19:09):
Because we were talking about the pac twelve. It may
be a different story. But again they you know, dissolve
the conference, so now they're dealing with it. Talk to me,
go ahead, thought.
Speaker 6 (19:18):
That I didn't get to watch any of the game,
but I'm looking at some of the statistics from yesterday's game,
and USC shot the ball pretty well forty four percent
in the field, sixty percent from three points. Here's where
they got beat. They got beat on the board, fed out, rebounded,
and especially on the offensive board. So that's when Minnesota
took the game over and probably pulled away in the
(19:40):
second half there because they were trailing first, had so
heads off in Minnesota. They played well, they didn't give
up the ship, and they hit the board. Yesterday didn't
play defense.
Speaker 4 (19:48):
Let's talk about one of the bigger dogs yesterday that
actually took down a huge win. Shout out to Shaheen
Holloway and Seaton Hall beating Yukon plus eight to fifty
on the dog line. I didn't even talk about yesterday
because I didn't think these boys had a chance, but
they were able to do it. Win by one, lose
by none. They went to overtime, hitting threes at the
end of the game. But we know seen Hall ain't
(20:09):
going to be dancing. You know that's fine. So let's
talk about another game. You n C and Syracuse. Syracuse
played them tough dog inside of that plus eight. We
gave that one out yesterday. Ronnie Bee, John Ryan Quick
thoughts on this is u n C in trouble? Are
they going to make a coaching change? Is the ACC
gonna have to pick up a couple of more teams
to make it more competitive because right now it's got
(20:30):
to dry.
Speaker 5 (20:30):
Go ahead.
Speaker 12 (20:32):
Well, Syracuse is not to Syracuse of old, and this
rivalry is not the quality rivalry. We'll get the scene
with these two programs, what'n't our line? Fifteen eleven guys,
and they're in trouble of not getting a bit. They're
in trouble of ending up at d N level or
one of the other ones. So fifteen and eleven is
not good even coming out of the SEC. And we're
(20:54):
talking about the ACC, which has gone down a little bit,
even though Duke is playing as well as they are.
Speaker 11 (21:00):
Der House is a losing records.
Speaker 12 (21:01):
Eleven fifteen program in North Carolina needed everything they had
to get by them by six point margin. So that
needs a lot of questions of coaching change could be
in the cards. North Carolina is a little slow to
change coaches, as we know historically, so maybe they can
stick with him another year and try to do better
next year.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
After all, it's never.
Speaker 12 (21:22):
Really the coach's fault, is it. It's the players recruiting,
Then it's the coaches fall.
Speaker 4 (21:27):
Now it's the money era. We're blaming the coaches. Now
it's the money error. We're blaming the coaches, man, We
blaming them hard. We're telling these guys, look, you guys
got to let go of the ego because your point
guard is making more than you this season. We're gonna
take a quick commercial break.
Speaker 2 (21:40):

are they doing out there. This looks like a bad
AAU tournament. I'm just saying, I'm just saying, go ahead.
Speaker 14 (25:01):
Well, the NBA is not afraid to try things. We've
learned that, and as the consumers and as the viewers
we have we don't have a choice but to watch
what they're trying that. I will say I covered the
Friday Stars format on Friday, which this is the first
time that the Riding bar is actually teams into.
Speaker 15 (25:21):
The event on Sunday, so I think that the games
are a little competitive. The first two are to forty points.
Season three, the championship round is only the twenty five,
so it really goes quickly, so there's.
Speaker 11 (25:36):
Some betting opportunity.
Speaker 16 (25:37):
I will say that I partook on Friday and I
emerged Victoria shout out to uh.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
Play in the twenty five betting on the side. Come on, man,
it was it.
Speaker 6 (25:50):
It was his money.
Speaker 17 (25:51):
On Friday, Castle Fontay, George, zach Edy.
Speaker 15 (25:55):
And Dalton Connects all the same squat, I say, give
me those guys.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
Well, yeah, so you.
Speaker 15 (26:00):
Know, read the lineup.
Speaker 11 (26:01):
I expect that the young team to compete today. I do.
Speaker 17 (26:05):
I think they can cover. They've got some numbers on
there already, but going to forty, it's going to get
tricky at the end because somebody's looking for a hot
dog shot to get.
Speaker 11 (26:15):
The game winner.
Speaker 15 (26:16):
Oh and they could blow opportunities like that. Not the
other team come back in and cover that little four
or five point spread.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
They should bring in the four point shot from the
big three. Going over to you, Big Poppy, Jake Poppy,
talking about those picks. One of you guys got some
bad feedback too. Put down the cup, don't talk in
the cup now. I'm kidding, but no. The point is
the NBA is just a little bit shaky right now.
And to talk a little bit about rosters with you, Darryl.
(26:43):
And then going over to Jake Poppy, I want you
to comment on this. I can't handicap NBA games because
you guys they've gone back to lunch paale guys picking
up guys out of the parking lot ten day contracts.
I thought I saw a ghost when Julia Lopaford was
on the floor. I was like, are you kidding me?
So again it's a little bit weird. But Jake Poppy,
your thoughts on All Star Game and then what I
just said about those rosters go ahead.
Speaker 18 (27:06):
Yeah, the All Star Games kind of turned into some
backyard basketball, it looks aw from what I saw those
competitions and what they had going on.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Man.
Speaker 18 (27:17):
But now I will say though that you're right, I
find it very hard to catch the NBA until the playoffs.
I don't know why the injuries. You know a lot
of people. You don't even know who's gonna play until
one hour before the game. Yeah. Yeah, nowadays it's tough.
Speaker 11 (27:34):
With all the refs.
Speaker 18 (27:35):
I feel like, you know, there's a couple of teams
in each conference that are exciting to watch. Other than that, man,
I just wait until the playoffs to really put my
big funny on.
Speaker 12 (27:43):
Man.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
We should start having stadiums like over in Serbia and whatnot,
where they got the little fireballs going around the back
end of the stadium and the bleachers have built flimsy
and they're just rocking and rolling there. But guys, let's
jump into it. We got to get to the doll players. Today.
College basketball again being brought to you buy a friends
over at Fubo TV. Let's go ahead and talk about it.
Rotation number eight twenty nine. You got the Michigan Wolverines.
(28:06):
These guys are coming out heavy again. More Big ten
basketball on the road at Ohio State, Rotation number eight
three A zero. This is one of those games where
again I'm taking a look at it and I'm saying
to myself, you got a team like Michigan who's got
seven footers with guard skills, kind of reminding you of,
you know, the Cooper Flags of the world and some
of the guys who've gone to the NBA recently. A
(28:28):
guy slips, he slips my mind, but I know he
played for OKC. You know he's skinny and injured two
all the time. This is why I can't remember none
of these kids. But the point I'm saying is they
got a guy seven foot he can play. That guy
should dominate the game for Michigan. Okay, it isn't that
hard to get a win on the road in Ohio State.
Michigan is a plus two dogs on the road today,
(28:50):
plus one fifteen on the money line. Total is one
fifty one. We've seen a lot of high scoring affairs.
I'll go to you, Ronnie b and then we'll start
around the board. What do you see here with mission today?
Do you think they can get that like they did yesterday?
When we made the pick with Auburn, another plus two dog,
a team that I think is better on the road.
Speaker 6 (29:08):
Go ahead, Yeah, I agree with you. I'm just going
to say that same thing. We're looking at a number
twenty ranked Michigan going into Ohio State that's unranked getting points.
And this is the same scenario we saw yesterday with
BAM and Auburn, and I'm leaning and I'm going to
play Michigan myself and take the points and the money line.
You've got the starting five with two seven footers and
(29:31):
the team is averaging double bridge at all five, so
I think it's going to be a high scoring game.
I think Ohio State, you know, likes the running gun
to stay in the game. They got a nice back court.
I can't remember his name, but it's mobile. He shoots
the ball pretty well.
Speaker 11 (29:50):
It should be an entertaining game.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
But I'm gonna play Michigan and take the points. I
see them as strong with the front line.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
I like Michigan today as well on the road. Going
to do John Ryan, Your thoughts here total one fifty
one and a half. Ronnie b says he thinks it
might go over. Do we think that the buck heyes,
can get some better defense here fifteen in ten at home.
I think they heard Ronnie b yesterday talk about the
home court advantage in the Big Ten. But Michigan at
nineteen and five, that type of record could have them
(30:16):
in the top five. They're only in the top twenty
at number twenty Ohio State unranked. Is this a suckers
bet for Ohio State alumni? Or are we going to
see a minor upset here of Michigan which I don't
think will happen.
Speaker 5 (30:28):
But go ahead, Well, I.
Speaker 12 (30:30):
Think actually it might be surprising you guys, but I
think both teams will get into the Big Dance. So
higher Steve right now needs to get some wins that
today a win would be huge. But I'm with you
guys on Michigan here, I think they are the better team.
I do like the under because o Highest States chanted winning.
They got to play really really good defense against the
(30:51):
Michigan squad if they're going to get the upset. In
my humble opinions, right one of my algorithms has gone
twenty five and eleven for seventy percent.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Of a past five seasons.
Speaker 12 (31:00):
That under the road team prices a dollar to three
or fewer points, including pick them they're coming off a
game in which they won by twenty or more points
to a conference soove. And lastly, both teams have won
between sixty and eighty percent of their games of the
current season that points. Think to the under and again
my bing game bet.
Speaker 11 (31:19):
You guys know I love it. I thrive on it.
Speaker 12 (31:21):
Nobody tells you have to bet all your money before
the game starts to save some powder. And if it
gets up to that one fifty seven and a half
to one sixty area, yeah, throw some pizza money on it.
Maybe even two or three pizza money bets.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
On that that area. I think that's not.
Speaker 12 (31:36):
The peak of this game, and then it'll start suciding
back to the one fifty area.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
Daryl Harris, your thoughts on this? Do you like Michigan
or do you like that home court advantage for Ohio State? Again,
Ohio State has a good shooter in Moldley. But when
you take a look at where Michigan is at, you
got Golden, you got Donaldson, you got Wolf, Gaale and Burnette,
the starting five all in double figures. And you know
I like to see that hall. So you have the
rebound advantage for Michigan as well as the assistant turnover
(32:04):
ratio in favor of Michigan. But you're getting dog played today.
Is that the home court advantage for Ohio State worth
that much? Go ahead?
Speaker 16 (32:13):
Yeah, That's something that I always try to ask myself.
I try to say, why is this team favored knowing
that they're going to get the phone ins with a
better record, you know, a little bit more impressive win.
And I try to understand why Ohio State would be favored.
And I see a team that can play. I see
(32:34):
a team that can play, and I think their home
crowd is going.
Speaker 11 (32:37):
To be behind them.
Speaker 16 (32:38):
And I want to echo the last point that with
a one point spread, you're not getting much lee weigh
in one direction less. That team that you take covers
very comfortably. So I'm very fine with watching this game
for a little bit, maybe even jump again at halftime,
let there get some separation between the teams, thinking that
there's going to be a comeback at some point. Ohio
(33:00):
State has four or five finishes in less than three
points margin in their last month, so they have a
knack for these close games. It wouldn't shock me, and
I think that they are playing a familiar team, then
they get upset today.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
Well there you go, Leoks over to you, Jake Poppy,
former player. When you talk about it from that perspective
of home court advantage, especially in the Big Ten, do
you think Michigan is going to get rattled by that
or do they still feel disrespected with a better record
than three of the teams in the top five?
Speaker 18 (33:32):
Go ahead, Yeah, I mean, I like what everyone said
so far, but I feel that today is more about
Ohio State. I feel like Ohio State needs this win,
and they know that they haven't lost at home for
over like a month now. I think that they're good
at home. The line's trying to tell us something here too,
Like we said, why is Ohio State favored? I've been
(33:53):
taking debate all year long on the underdog, so here
I'm going to play the home fav I'm going to
highest state on the money line.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
Okay, I would advise you buy these guys up on
the plus side of the math side to plus five.
Give yourself some money here, because there is no value.
If you want to put them on a ticket, make
an adjustment, add a little bit more money to it.
Let's move along to another game. That I had here
circled big time games and the reformed Big East. Saint
(34:23):
John's back in the top ten for the first time
since I was in high school, and that was a
long time ago. Twenty one and three at home today
versus Creighton. Now, Creighton is another one of those teams
that can catch you slipping. Plus two twenty three on
the money line, total is one forty one and a half.
Saint John's minus six and a half going to you,
Ronnie b Here is Saint John's ready for a big
(34:46):
game like this today when you talk about being at
home in the Big East, not a lot of competition,
but it is competitive. They priced you at one forty
one and a half on the total for a reason,
and I think that's because they know this same Johns's
got to slow things down on the defensive end because
they let one slip away at Villanovo a couple of
days ago. But they are priced at six and a half,
(35:08):
meaning that these guys got to realistically win by ten
because this isn't football. We're not talking touchdowns, We're talking
layups and threes. Go ahead, Ronnie Bee.
Speaker 6 (35:16):
Yeah, we talked a little bit. I think yesterday I
mentioned I put a little bit of a piece of
money on Saint John to make it to the final four.
I'm very high on this team. They're playing good ball.
I'm up and down the court, they hit great defense,
and I like the coach a lot. You know, mister
Patino's been around a long time. You gets this talent
to play up to their level. So I think today
(35:37):
is about back off. That Bevillan Oval loss that cost
me a little bit, But I like Saint John's today.
I think Patino has him ready to play and make
up for that Bellin Oval loss on Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (35:47):
There you go, let's go over to you, Jake Poppy.
Just jumping around here a little bit, Creighton. Are they
decent on the road? You know when I take a
look at some of their gameplay and some of the
things that they've been doing over the last couple of weeks.
So it looks like these guys might be trying to
make a run at eighteen to seven, number twenty four
team in the country to get a higher seed than
(36:07):
they feel that they are. Again, I know Michigan will
probably pissed about that. I get see, there you go,
you got another one of these teams with a worst
record than US ranked and we don'ts but Creighton again
no slouch. Top twenty five match up here today. Are
you gonna play a total or do you think Creighton
can get inside of that six? Six and a half?
Speaker 18 (36:24):
Go ahead, Jake, Bobby, Yeah, I'm actually gonna be playing
the total. I think it's going to go over here.
I'm leaning over one forty one. And then I also,
I mean, here's the thing, it's a tough game. I
think Saint John's, they're at home and they're gonna win.
I would rather you take Saint John's on the money
line and parlay it up with something another money line
that you'd like. I think the spread six and a
(36:46):
half seven, it's gonna be tough. I think Creighton will
hang in. Creighton's been playing good basketball. They're well coached,
always have been. But yeah, I like the Johns to win.
I just would prefer the money line, and I'll take
the over.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
There you go, he likes the over going over to you, John, Ryan,
you take a look at this game and you say
Creighton Saint John's four or five seasons ago, money line,
Creighton go to sleep. But you got some good value
here at plus two twenty two and you got some
decent value on the spread. I just looked at it
here now officially on CBS minus six and a half,
(37:19):
it went up Daryl will get you right after John.
How do you see this one playing out? Go ahead
for the Red Storm or for the Blue Jays.
Speaker 12 (37:25):
Well, the Red Steer them on paper is definitely the
better team. But I like Creighton today. I hate to
go against anybody on this show because it usually doesn't
work out for me too well. But nevertheless, Creighton is
a team that has five player four players that are
scoring seventeen percent or more of the team's total points.
They seem to be more of a balanced team. Potentially,
(37:46):
They've gone through some awful stretches this year.
Speaker 11 (37:49):
I think John just.
Speaker 12 (37:50):
Had everything go their way and this just seems here.
Speaker 5 (37:52):
The five and a half seems weird to me.
Speaker 12 (37:55):
I like Daryl's analysis of the over, and I think
if Creighton's going to cover this bread, the game is
gonna play over. So maybe that's a little teezer bet
or maybe even a little parlay. You guys know, I
hate parlay. They don't do them personally, but I know
people love them. So if I was two player parlay.
I think I would take Creighton real quick. There's a
seventy percent algorithm here.
Speaker 11 (38:17):
On thirty two and fourteen.
Speaker 12 (38:18):
You've been on road dogs price between three and a
half and nine a half points. That road team is
coming off an upset road loss to a conference bo
So Creighton obviously has a bad case in her mouth
right now. The opponent lost to the conference bow by
three or fewer points in their previous game. That's on
there is two and that to seventy percent over the
last six years, So I lean towards Creighton year.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
He's liking the dog going over to you, Dyl Harris.
Creighton right now plus six Saint John's has got to
win this game. If you go money line, it's minus
two seventy eight. Saint John's worries me. They don't have
a lot of starters in double figures, with the average
only three. A couple of guys knocking on that door.
But you look at Creighton again, They've got an old
guy by the name of call Renner Pauls. He's been
(39:03):
around a long time. He knows his way around the
Big East. Nineteen points a game. I think he's going
to come in and start early. And start pulling the
trigger from downtown shooting a lot of threes. If they
can get within that six by shooting threes, do you
think Creighton is still a big bet here? It looks
like everybody's liking the dog. Go ahead, Daryl Harris, Well, I'm.
Speaker 16 (39:24):
Glad that you shut it up that way, because Creighton
won the Matt jepklinis to the end of December fifty seven,
fifty six. That is an under landslide. And from that game,
something that we definitely have to watch for this game
is this Saint John's hitting threes. Saint John's was only
two for nine from three in that game, two to
(39:47):
three in an entire Legion game, that you're not going
to win that game.
Speaker 15 (39:53):
And you know, any.
Speaker 16 (39:55):
Struggle of lucks better than that, shooting wise, they would
have gotten victorious. And that's because Crayton can play multiple ways.
Kawk Barn can be the focus, he can be a decoy.
They can go big, go small, shoot it win an
ugly one.
Speaker 11 (40:10):
Six and a half is too much for me.
Speaker 16 (40:11):
Six and a half means that this game is decided
in the last three minutes, and I don't think it
will be so I would have to lean on Creighton,
and again that's a live opportunity to If that gets
smaller than that, then if you're confident in Saint John's,
go ahead and grab Saint John's. That maybe minus two
for minus one, but I would not take that six
(40:32):
and a half.
Speaker 4 (40:34):
I gotta concur here, guys, I'm looking at the total here.
I'm thinking it might go under again. You know, Saint
John's likes to get out, run and gun, but they
also don't want to start picking up losses and move
out of that top ten prestigious ranking. Let's move along
to another school here, smaller school talking about the Mountain West,
a very good school by the way. Talking about Utah
(40:54):
State rotation number eight fifty seven, heading down to New
Mexico State, another shock in league. Good team in college
basketball this year, rotation number eight fifty eight. Now, me
being out West, I do take a look at some
of these teams a lot more than most people. But
I'm telling you right now, this one should be a
good matchup. You got a total here. When you look
at it, pull it in of one to fifty nine
(41:15):
and a half with the hook. That tells you these
teams can get up and down and score, averaging about
seventy to five seventy nine eighty points a game for
both of them, and you got Utah State, who was
ranked and better. Again, we talked about those ranked teams
that have better records getting dog physicians just because they're
being on the road, but the talent should overcome. Talking
to you, Ronnie Bee, how do you like this one?
(41:36):
Utah State, New Mexico State? Go ahead, Well, I.
Speaker 6 (41:39):
Think you got two decent teams here, twenty two and three,
twenty one and four, both of them with good records,
playing good basketball. So i'd have to you know, the
totals one, I'm showing one fifty nine.
Speaker 5 (41:50):
And a half, right, that's right.
Speaker 6 (41:52):
Yeah, I have a feeling this game is going to
be over this total. I haven't done much research on
this game. I'm not playing it personally, but looking at
some of the stats and the shooting and that this
one fifty nine shouldn't be a problem for these teams
that are reached today.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
There you go. Going over to you, Jake Poppy, I
know you're into one of these smaller conferences type games.
How do you think this one shakes up? I went
with Utah State road dog here but again, New Mexico
is not bad today. These guys are playing some good basketball.
I made a mistake in sat New Mexico State. It's
just University of New Mexico. But go ahead.
Speaker 18 (42:26):
Yeah, No, these are two actually really solid teams. I
think you'll see both in the tournament probably. I mean,
I think you're seeing that line today because New Mexico's
at home. They're playing in the pit. I mean, it's
a tough place to play. They don't really lose it
home much. I don't think they've lost much over the
last couple of years there, so I'd love it. Though,
I like Utah State to cover the five. I think
(42:48):
it's just too much. I think it's going to be
a one possession game late. I like Utah State to cover.
And in terms of the total, well, it's really high.
I know they both like to score. Dude it I
would lean the over as well too.
Speaker 4 (43:03):
There you go, leaning the over going over to you,
Daryl Harris. We saw a close win yesterday. I told
you guys this would happen again. Yesterday UNLV barely beat
Fresno State. And Fresno State again, you know, one of
the worst teams in the Mountain West for college basketball.
(43:26):
Being said nicely, this game has similar roots to me. Okay,
And the reason why I say that is both of
these teams get up and down. Talking about Utah State
in New Mexico, they shoot a lot and rely on rebounding,
not necessarily a big defensive type team, and we saw
that yesterday with unfortunately UNLV they couldn't score the basketball.
(43:48):
So just I mentioned that that's one of their big issues.
But you know, just to talk about this game here,
going back to Utah State in New Mexico, do you
think we're gonna see that type of offensive output again?
If you look at where that average is coming in,
they're looking at it to go over under one fifty
nine and a half. I'm looking at this game to
possibly come into some more defense, just because New Mexico
(44:08):
has got to show more to get a better tournament
seed than just be a dead eye shooter. Get the rebound,
kick it back out and shoot it. It's working in
the Mountain West, but I don't know if it will work
against some of the other teams. Do you like the
dog today in Utah State or New Mexico? Go ahead,
Daryl Harrison.
Speaker 16 (44:27):
I like the point with Utah State, mainly because the
first matchup, New Mexico won by almost twenty on the
road at Utah State. So I don't see two lopsided
victories in this season serious to them. I think that
Utah State is the team that has been among the
Mountain West elite for the last four to five years.
Speaker 4 (44:46):
You're right correct, So they're used.
Speaker 16 (44:47):
To having to step up around this time of year.
New Mexico great roster right now. They have size everywhere,
and that also makes me want to think this game
like be an under. It might be defensive focused, it
might be more of a postseason field than an early
season field, and that these games, these teams recognize the
(45:08):
stakes right now. And this is a you know, mess
up of one and two in the Mountain West. So
thanks for bragging rights. I don't know if it's a shootout,
per sex, and I'd expect Utah State to show up
much more than they did in the first match up.
Speaker 4 (45:21):
There you go talking about it yesterday again, shout out
to the running Rebels. They got the win yesterday, should
have been in the dog position. But we talk about
this Mountain West Conference because it is so competitive. President
State put up fifty one points thirty three in the
second half, and these guys were supposed to lose by eight.
But again today, guys, thank you so much for coming
on the show. Shout out Rudy Rayes. Your family out
(45:42):
in Central Coast California was still rocking with you, praying
for you. You got some issues out there, but we
want to make sure that everything is good for him.
Send up your prayers from may Man Rudy rays Box
twenty six k mph out in Central Coast California. So
I'm gonna go around the big board and get everybody's
best player today. Thank you so much coming on, John Ryan.
Let's start off with you. Glad to have you back today. Man,
you would bring us some grease last week. It did
(46:03):
great for the big board and the big game. Give
us some picks today for college basketball to to play
cash in our pocket. Go ahead, thirty second.
Speaker 11 (46:10):
Well, thanks for saying that.
Speaker 6 (46:12):
Jad.
Speaker 12 (46:12):
I like the under today in the Michigan Ohio State game.
And like I said, maybe you've bet sixteen percent of
your normal bedside free flop and then look for one
fifty seven and a half or more points during the
first half of action only and then add to.
Speaker 11 (46:26):
Your original bet. I think that should worked out pretty good.
Speaker 4 (46:29):
There you go, John Rise telling you take the undergoing
over to you, Jake Poppy, thank you so much for
jumping on the show this morning on short notice. Always
love to have your insights. What's your best player of
the day my friend?
Speaker 18 (46:39):
Go ahead, yeah, play of the day for me today
is going to be methit. I like Memphis to take
care of with the top day minus seven and a half.
I know they're on the road, that they're looking good.
And then I just wanted to give a quick shout
out though to Clemson. I think Clemson is a sneaky
elite a final fourteen for anyone looking at future bet.
Speaker 4 (46:58):
There you go talking about Clemson looking at the fouture bets.
Going over to you, my main man, Ronnie b the
King of the ram part casino. Glad to have you
back on the line with us again today. What is
one of your best players of the day, my friend.
I know we're putting cast in your pocket. Yesterday we
gave out some great dogs. We were working it, and
today we gotta do the same thing. Go ahead, my friend,
(47:19):
I'll tell you what.
Speaker 6 (47:19):
I'm gonna play a game later this safter noon here, Oregon,
I'm gonna lay the seven and a half. They're home.
They need a couple more wins. I think they're gonna
get back in the group. They were preseason favorites to
make the lead eight. So I'm going back with Oregon
minus seven and a half today against Rutgers.
Speaker 4 (47:34):
There you go, he's like Oregon at home, Rutgers flying
across country. Actually had that one on the list, guys,
but we just ran out of time. Ronnie b threw
that one out. Is his best play orgon minus the
seven and then Darryl Harris the best player of the day,
My friend, I saved the best for you. Last man,
you're covering that NBA for me. I hope you have
