Frans is zo iemand die het team niet snel zal vergeten. Na een val in de bergen van Corsica komt hij terecht in het revalidatiecentrum. Hij is dan in coma en heeft een laag bewustzijn. Communiceren is dan bijna niet mogelijk, maar Frans beschikt over een enorme kracht en lijkt niets anders te willen dan te herstellen.
In de intensieve periode van behandelingen raakt het team steeds meer aan Frans gehecht. Er wordt veel vooruitgang geboekt, maar de behandeling van comapatiënten blijft onvoorspelbaar. Soms tot frustratie van de teamleden. Hoe gaan zij daar mee om? Hoe ondersteunen zij elkaar in hun dagelijkse werk? En welke inzichten hebben ze overgehouden aan het behandelingsproces van Frans?
