Hello, guys, Welcome to wtc W Coach Taylor's wellness broadcasts.
I really am so excited today to be sharing with
you guys. I did a series about three years ago
and and it was on the mindset, and one of

(00:27):
my listeners asked me if I would go back over
that series again on the broadcast about a month ago,
and I told her that I would for her and
a group of ladies that were actually present with me
when I did that that series. So we're gonna go
back through that and I think it's gonna be good

for everyone. It's gonna be good for me, it's gonna
be good for you. And I think that being present
here with me is going to open or awaken some
things with the you within us. So go ahead and

I'm so thankful that you have joined in with me.
I am always excited to be here with you guys.
And so what we're going to talk about is the mindset.
But we're going to come by in way of renovation,
renewing your mind. That is so important and it's so
important that we do it all the time because things

(01:32):
are constantly changing. You know, we go from I can't
think of there's a scripture that said we go from
faith to faith, glory to glory. And as we continue
to strive through life to do the things that we
know that we are called to do, want to do,
desire to do, you know, we have to continue to
renew our minds to those things because sometimes we deal

(01:54):
with that imposter syndrome and we have to press through that,
you know, deal with words of other people who may
not you know, believe in what we're doing, and you
have to press through that. And that's sometimes why you
have to keep things quiet and you have to do
what you do and just allow it to be seen.
I always encourage people to you know, it's not always

(02:18):
wants to share everything everywhere, you know, So I want
to encourage you today by talking about renewing your mind.
You know, when you get tired of the way your
house look, maybe in a room you want to remodel
that room. You know, you may want to remodel your home,
your whole house, or you know, change the paint or

(02:40):
something where you're renewing things. And it's the same thing
with our minds we have to renew our minds in
the same manner, and so I want to encourage you
to listen up and to join in with me. Take
a deep breath. I hope you're somewhere where you are comfortable,
in a seat that's comfortable, or some of you may

(03:01):
be lying down, and I always ask you to take
that deep breath at some point, whether it's at the
beginning or at the end. So if you will go
ahead right now with me, just relax, take a deep
breath in and excel and just relax and be present
with me here today. We've probably all heard how much

(03:23):
our thoughts impact our lives. You know, there are many
people authors of books, diologians, you know, gurus, wellness coaches
like myself, and you know integrated wellness strategists. We love
to help people change their lives and make things better
for themselves. And it's important that you understand that. You know,

(03:48):
we have so many thoughts that come through our minds,
and although we can't control all those thoughts, we need
to you know, understand that we're in control the thoughts
are gonna come, but we can control how those thoughts
affect our lives. We can take captive of those throats,
those thoughts, and some people. I was reading something this

(04:10):
morning that said, there's actually three things that I read
that I that call my attention, and I've read them before,
and I think I mentioned that these things before. There
was someone said one time, whether you think you can
or you think you can't, you're right, and it's very true.
You know, our thoughts become actions, and it'll either work

(04:32):
for us or against us. And also, you know you
believe you can. You're halfway there. And that is so true.
If you believe that you can do something, you're gonna
step out and you're gonna do it, regardless of who
say you can't or regardless of the circumstances that surround you.
You believe in yourself, you believe that you can do it.

(04:53):
You're halfway there, and if you just take that step,
that leap, and just go for it, you'll find that
you will succeed at what you do. Not saying that
you won't hit brick walls, it's okay, but you'll have
you'll have the tenacity to push through those brick walls
because you believe that you can. And the scripture does

(05:13):
say that you can do all things through Christis strengthens you.
So if you believe that, you take a hold of that,
you hold onto it like a bulldog holds onto something
when its teeth grabs a hold to it, and don't
let it go. You will succeed at what you do.
And it's all about that mindset. We have to renew
our minds. We have to keep changing and believing in ourselves.

(05:38):
Another one said, the happiness of life, of your life
depends on the quality of your thoughts. So our thoughts
play such a crucial role in our lives, whether we
succeed or whether we don't succeed, whether we have a
good day or a bad day. Our thoughts are so crucial,

(06:00):
and we have to take control of those thoughts. I mean,
even the scriptures say to take control of our thoughts,
take those thoughts, captive those things that are not true,
because most of the time what we think is really
not what's real. And I know you've heard me say
that one before. I've said that a lot. You know,
there's a scripture about what that talks about. Apostle Paul

(06:20):
who challenges us in Romans twelve not to conform to
the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the
renewing of our minds. By the renewing of our minds.
So according to this verse, our transformation occurs when our
mind undergoes renovation. Makes sense, right, I love that scripture.

(06:43):
But you know, in all that and saying all that,
we know that a renovation happens when we want it to,
when we want change. When when when someone wants to
change the appearance you know, of a situation of themselves.
You know, are of a situation. And it could be

(07:04):
because it's just like in a home, you want to
change up fears or something because it's broken, or maybe
it's damaged, or maybe you're just tired of looking at
it the way that it looks and you want to
update it. Or you know, it's the same thing with
our minds. It's very similar. You know, what kind of
renovation does your mind need? You have to think about that.

(07:24):
I have to think about that. And we are consistently
changing and evolving, and we have to let it happen.
You know. Sometimes I get up and I was like, oh, okay,
what about me? Do I need to change today to
make life better for me? And sometimes I just meditate
on that thing. And sometimes things come up, and sometimes
they don't. But if things come up that I see that,

(07:48):
you know, a girl, you need to think better about
yourself in that area. You know, you think that you're
not confident to do something that you're supposed to be doing,
or you think that you won't do it as well
as so and so whatever. You have to cast those
thoughts down and know that you are called to do
what you are called to do and equipped to do.

(08:09):
You know. Bringing up another scripture, God said that in
the Word it says that he who has begun a
great work in you, he'll finish that work in you.
You know He's going to cause that thing to be
done through you if you trust him and know that
you can do all things. There's a greatness on the

(08:30):
inside of you. There's a person on the inside of
you that's waiting to come out to be who you
are supposed to be. You are someone who's supposed to
make a great impact on this world. You're not here
for the reason and that thing in you that's burning
and you want to do it. All you need to

(08:52):
do is put forth first the belief that you can
do it. Believe in yourself, change your mindset, change your
thinking about yourself and just believing in yourself and knowing
that you can do it within yourself. You're halfway there.
Remember that. I wish I could take credit for that saying,
but I can't. But it's so true and I love that.

(09:12):
I love that. So I want to encourage you today
to change your mind set. If you don't believe in yourself,
start believing in yourself. If you have to look in
the mirror and tell yourself a hundred times, I believe
in me. You know, believe in yourself. Change your thoughts
about yourself to positive thoughts. You were created for a purpose,

(09:38):
and some of you may know what that purpose is,
but do and I feel like you're capable of doing
that thing. You were a purpose to do it, you
can do it. And if you started a thing and
somehow there's a setback, that's okay, push forward, push through
the setback. Setbacks are only opportunities. You have to see that.

(09:59):
It's only an opportunity to build your strength, to build
your muscles, your faith muscles. So one thing I want
to leave with you before I go is to to
say this, whether you you know we usually have a

(10:20):
positive outlook on certain things in life, you know, but
other things we may struggle through. Pick those things that
you struggle through. Find something good in in that. Find
something good in the struggle to build your faith muscle,

(10:41):
and begin to write down some things that you're going
to do to push through that struggle and watch yourself
come out on the other side. Change your thoughts about it.
Change those negative thoughts to positive thoughts about it. Push
through the negative, change it, take it captive that thought.

(11:01):
Are those thoughts toxic thoughts about yourself or your abilities?
Change that thing, you change your mindset about it, you'll
be able to change it. Because thoughts produce actions, whether
they're good or bad. So you make that choice. So
let's reflect a little bit. Think about your most common

(11:24):
thoughts and how those thoughts make you feel. Why don't
you go ahead right now and close your eyes or
just a moment, close your eyes and take another deep breath.
Think about your thoughts, the most common thoughts that you have.

(11:45):
Think about it, how do they make you feel? Think
about that? And you should do this sometime where you
can write it down. Also, and in what area of
your thought life do you need to renew, meaning renovate,

(12:07):
What area needs of renovation. Write that down, and I
challenge you to begin to meditate on this thing and
to write things down about it. There's no right or
wrong answers, just true answers. Be truthful with yourself and
begin to work on that. And as you begin to change,
your work on changing your thoughts, taking captives of those thoughts,

(12:31):
because you can do that, you're in control, and begin
to write every negative thought, write something positive of underneath,
and begin to embrace that positive. Embrace the positive. Now
before we go, and you to take five deep breaths,
breathing really deep, end and really strong out breath five

(12:59):
breaths at your own pace. And on that last initial
breath out, I want you to release any negative thoughts
that you may have about yourself. Just blow them all
the way out. And when we're done here today, I
want you to write down what we just talked about,

(13:24):
the most common thoughts that you have, how the saughts
make you feel, and if any of those thoughts are negative,
I want you to find something positive to write underneath that,
take cap of those thoughts and change it. I challenge
