(03:51):
I'm going to be starting a new series, a new
series starting today and it's going to be titled Resting
during Turbulent Times, Rusty during Turbulent Times. The nice part
one which is be still taken from Psalms forty six ten,
(04:13):
which the word says be still and know that I
Am God, I will be exalted among the heathen. I
will be exalted in the earth. Be still having the Father.
We come to you right now, Lord just thanking you,
Lord God for your grace and for your mercy. We
thank you Father for giving us another opportunity, Lord God,
(04:34):
to share your word.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Father.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
We thank you, Lord God for those who will be listening,
Lord God, that they will search their hearts in their
minds and apply this word to their lives. And Lord God,
we trust right now, Lord God, that they will be sensitive,
Lord God, what you will have them to do, what
you will have them to go about and share with others.
In the name of Jesus. Father, we thank you for
(04:57):
this broadcast where in Christians speak talk radio. We thank you,
Lord God for allowing me to be a vessel to
be used for your glory. Lord God. And now Father,
as I go forth and share what you've had me
to share. Father, I want to decrease, Lord God, so
you would get to all the honor, so that you
would get all the glory, so that you would get
all the praise. I thank you, Father, and we give
(05:19):
you all the honor, glory and praise right now, and
Jesus' name, Thank God, Amen, Amen Well. Resting during turbulent times.
Like I said earlier, this is part one. Psalms forty
sixteen says, be still and know that I Am God.
(05:40):
Turbulent times, times of conflict, times of disorder, times of confusion, pain, disappointment,
times of distress, times of being physically or emotionally ill.
We're talking about hard times, disappointing times, stressful times. Sometimes
you really wake up in the morning and you just
(06:03):
so focus on your problem that you don't realize that
God just brought you through another night. Turbulent times. We
know we are currently living in turbulent times. But guess
what there is good news. There is good news. Yes,
each of us will experience some turbulent times, talking about
raging storms in our life at one point or another.
(06:23):
God never promised us a rose guard, and so the
song says, but he did promise us that he would
always be with us. He told us to trust him.
I was reading a devotional book earlier, and I loved this.
It says, you have to pass by the thorns to
get to the rose. You have to pass by the
thorns to get to the rose. So when you prick yourself,
(06:45):
remember you are on the path to freakrance and beauty.
That just reminded me so much of a scripture Romost
eight twenty eight. Uh. Such a wonderful illustration of this
scripture where it says, and we know that all things
work together for good to those who love God, to
those who are called according to His purpose, for those
(07:06):
who are called according to His purpose. Yes, the storms
of life are going to rage in your life at
one point or another, and sometimes you may not know
you're left from you and right your head from your toe.
Yet it's during these turbulent times that God wants you,
He wants us to rest in Him. It's during these
times when we need to go to the Father and
(07:27):
simply rest, simply rest. Sometimes our emotions are all over
the place. Sometimes we just just go about the day
and just forget about who it is that woke us
up this morning, and we just forget about all the
good and perfect gifts to come from Him because we
start to focus all all the negativism. And God wants
(07:48):
us to rest, that's trust in Him. So it's my
hope that whether you are going through a turbulent storm,
a rocky fear of storm, right this very moment, or
if you know someone who might be going through something
right now. It is sincerely my hope that this message
will somehow inspire you, that it will somehow encourage you,
(08:09):
that it will somehow prepare you to trust God totally
and completely. Be still and know that I am God.
This scripture tells us to calm ourselves, to put us
oute all those distractions, and to simply trust God for
who he is. For God says, and know that I
(08:30):
am God. Be still. That's the first thing we need
to do. And then he says, know who I am,
Know who I am? I am God. So knowing God,
who is God? When you truly know who God is,
you can again to trust Him. When you truly know
who this God is that we are talking about right now,
(08:51):
you will be able to rest. You'll be able to
rest in Him. When you truly know who this God
is that I'm talking about right now, you will be stilled.
You know, we hear songs like God is the source
and the strength of my life. God is, But do
you really know who God is? Who is he in
your life? Who is this God who is telling you
(09:14):
to be stilled and know that I Am God? Who
is this God that we are talking about. Who is
this God who wants you to rest in him? Yes,
even during terbuler difficult times. You know, God has so
many names because he's so powerful, all knowing, all nippotine.
He has so many names. And these names I'm gonna
(09:35):
go through some of these right now. Some would be
more and more detailed than others as I explain or
illustrate examples of the name of God. They're not in
any particular order, and they're not all inclusive. But guess
what God is inclusive? God is inclusive. El Om the
(09:56):
name of God, Elom, the strong Creator God. In the beginning,
God Eloem created the heavens and the earth. The earth
was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface
of the deep, and the spirit of God, that's Aloem
(10:17):
was moving over the surface of the waters. Genesis first chapter,
first and second verse. We're talking about a God, the
God of all gods, who is the great creator. You see,
God spoke life and to a formless void and dark
space for Genesis one, first chapter. In the second verse
(10:37):
lets us know that darkness was upon the face of
the deep, and God spoke, let there be light, and
there was light. So we're talking about a God who
speaks light and to a dark situation. So we're talking
about a God who moves things. He takes action. And
(10:57):
because he is our creator, and because he is a
mover and a shaker, and because he knows all about us,
he is more than able to turn a dark situation
into brightness. The God who created the entire universe and
Genesis the first chapter, the twenty sixth verse. It says,
on the sixth day, the word lets us know that
(11:19):
God created man by simply saying, let us make man
in our image after our likeness. Wow. The same God
who created the whole universe created man. He created you,
and he created me. He created us. And you know
why I gets this. He didn't think it robberly to
create create us in his own image. Wow. Lom the
(11:45):
strong created God. That's who he is. He's the creative
of all things and man. This is God who is
telling us to be stilled and know that I am God,
another name of God, Jehovah, Lord, Master. He's a relationship God,
a relation of God, Jehovah, Lord and Master. Genesis second chapter,
(12:11):
the fourth Verde says, this is the account of the
heavens and the earth when they were created, and the
day that the Lord Jehovah God made earth and heaven.
The King James version says, these are the generations of
the heavens and of the earth when they were created
in the day that the Lord God made the earth
and the heavens. He's Jehovah, God, our Lord and master.
(12:35):
You see you cannot rest in him if you are
not allow him his rightful position in your life. Do
you see him as your lord? Do you see him
as your master? Are you allowing him to be control
of your every situation? Do you see him as your
ruler of everything? Can you say? Yes? And my life?
(12:58):
He is my Jehovah, my Lord, my master. Another name
of God I d nae meaning Master over all. O
Lord God, I donay through the rama, third chapter, twenty
fourth verse says, you have a God to show your
servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what God
(13:22):
is there in heaven or on earth? Who can do
such works and mighty acts as yours God meaning Master
over all? And then he's God Elo m shaded c
h A s E d d. I look it up
c H A s E D D I, which means
(13:47):
the God of my mercy, the God of my mercy
you see and Psalms fifting out chapters tenth verses, God Eloim,
my God, and his love kindness will meet me. God
will let me look triumphantly upon my foes, and then
Luke first chapter fifty verse says, and his mercy is
(14:10):
on them that fear him from generation to generation, and
we all know. Psalms twenty third chapter the sixth verse,
which says, surely goodness and mercy shall allive me. All
the shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Psalms twenty fifth, chapter tenth verses, All the paths of
(14:33):
the Lord are mercy and truth, unto such as keep
his covenant and his testimonies. Praise God for his word,
y'all we need to rest in his word. Psalm's fortieth, chapter,
eleventh verse ses, behold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O, Lord,
let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me. Yes, God,
(14:58):
you are my Eloien, my Chadsordai, the God of my mercy,
the God of my mercy. How many knows He's a God.
He's a faithful God. He's a faithful God. Knowing therefore
that the Lord your God is God. He is the
faithful God, keeping his covenant love of love to a
(15:18):
thousand generations of those who love him and keep his
commandments through the Romans seventh chapter and the ninth verse.
He Rews eleventh chapter in the first verse says, now
faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence
of things not seen? Is your faith in this faithful God? Today?
Are you without a doubt? Leaning trusting on God? You see?
(15:43):
He uses eleventh chapter. The sixth verse says, for without faith,
it is impossible to please him. For he who comes
to God must believe that He is, and that He
is a rewarder of them who diligently seek him. You're
Almighty twenty ninth twelve to thirteen says, then you will
(16:03):
call upon me and go and pray to me, and
I will listen to you, and you will seek me
and find me when you search for me with all
your heart. Yes, he is a faith for God. Another
name for God is El Shadah el Shaddah Almighty God,
(16:24):
Almighty God. Genesis seventeenth chapter in the first and second
verse says when Aprin was ninety nine years old, the
Lord appeared to him and said, I am God, Almighty
el Shaddah. Walk before me faithfully and be blameless. Then
I will make my covenant between me and you, and
(16:45):
may greatly increase your numbers. Lord God, because you are
el Shadah, the Almighty God. I'm going to be still,
Lord God, my el Shadah. I'm going to rest in
your word. There is an almighty God, an unchanging God,
and unchanging rock of ages. Just trust him, especially when
(17:08):
you're going through turbulent times. You see, Jesus Christ is
the same yesterday, today and forever. We're talking about God,
the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. Yes,
you can rest through a turbulent times when you trust
(17:29):
in his word. When you rest in His word Psalms
forty six ten, Be still, be still, my soul, and
know that I am God. Rest in his word. Ramost
eight thirty seven says, Lord, because of you, I am
more than a conqueror. Rest in his word. Yes, He's
(17:53):
al Shaddad be Almighty God, be almighty God. And how
many know he is God Shalam mean the Prince of peace.
He is our prince of peace. For a child will
be born to us, a son would be given to us,
and the governess will rest on his shoulders, and his
name would be called wonderful counselor Mighty God, eternal Father,
(18:17):
Prince of peace. He is Shalam, which means prince of peace.
And that's Isaiah. The ninth chapter, in the sixth verse,
you see there is peace even in the midst of
your storm. You can write it out. Peace. Jesus speaks
here peace. I leave with you my peace. I give
unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
(18:38):
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord. Psalms one thirty eight
seven says, though I walk in the midst of trouble,
Thou will revive me. Thou sust stretch forth our hand
upon the wrap against the wrap of my enemies, and
thy right hand shall save me Psalms one thirty eight
(19:02):
and seven. Jesus says in John sixteen thirty three these
things I have spokenness is to you that in me
you might have peace. You see in the world. You're
gonna have tribulation. You shall have tribulation, but be of
good cheer. I have already overcome the world. You see,
Jesus didn't tell us they weren't gonna go through stuff
(19:23):
in this world. He didn't tell us that we wouldn't
have turbulent at times. He didn't tell us we wouldn't
have struggles and challenges in this world. But what he
did tell us in John sixteen thirty three that we
can trust him. He did tell us that even though
we will have tribulation, we should be joyful because we
are already overcome us through him. He says he has
already overcome the world. He tells us that we can
(19:46):
have peace because we need to grab a hold of
him who is the Prince of peace. Thank you, Lord God,
thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding. And
the name of Jesus. And how many know he is
Jehoah with Jarrah, hallelujah, He is Jehovah, Jirah, the Lord
will provide. He is my provider. Do you know him
(20:08):
as your provider today? Men, you know him as your
provider today? You be able to rest and be stilled
Philippings four nineteen says, my God shall supply all my
need according to his riches in Christ Jesus. You see,
I have no abundance, I have no lack because it
is written that my God's gonna supply all my needs.
(20:31):
And guess what, He's gonna supply all your needs too.
Just don't get weary. Just even when you feel yourself
getting wiared, just shake yourself up and say, no, no, no,
I'm gonna trust in God. I'm going to trust in
the God who is my provider, who is my provider.
And guess what, I just thank him because he is
Jehovah Jirah, my provider. Oh how many know he's Jehovah Rapha.
(20:55):
We're talking about God, our healer, the Lord that heals,
the Lord that heals. Perhaps you're going through physical situation
right now. Perhaps you've gotten a bad report from the doctor.
Perhaps right now your body may be racked with pain,
or perhaps you know someone else whose body is racked
with pain. But guess what, guess what God is Jehovah raffle.
(21:17):
He is the God that heals. Isaiah forty one ten says,
so do not fear, for I am with you. Do
not be dismayed, For I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you. I will withhold you with
my righteous right hand. Isaiah fifty three and five says,
but he talking about Jesus, was wounded for our transgressions.
(21:40):
He was bruised for our iniquities. The punishment that brought
us peace was upon him. And guess what, by his
strikes we are healed. We need to grab a hold
of these scriptures, and we need to start speaking these
scriptures out loud when we're going through physical pain, even
in the midst of pain, instead of focusing on the problem,
focus on his promise. He says in Psalms thirty four nineteen,
(22:05):
A righteous man will have many troubles, but the Lord
delivers him from them all. And then how many know
you gotta speak to yourself sometimes, you gotta shake yourself
up and speak to your soul. You gotta say, praise
the Lord o my soul, all my inmost being being,
praise his holy name. Praise the Lord on my soul,
and for get not all his benefits, who forgives all
(22:28):
your sins, He heals all your diseases, who redeems your
life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.
Who satisfies your desires, but good things so that get this,
so that your youth is renewed like the eagles, Psalms
one hundred and three, first through the fifth. First sometimes
(22:48):
you gotta speak to yourself and quiet your spirit. Quiet
your spirit, get rid of all those distractions that are
going on around you. James' third chapter says, if anyone's
in trouble, let him he should pray. If anyone's happened,
let them sing psalms or praises. If any of you are,
he should call for the elders of the church to
pray over him and annoyce him with all in the
(23:10):
name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith
will make the sick person well. The Lord will raise
him up. Then, say a person gonna raise you up?
It says, the Lord is going to raise you up.
Speak life over your situation, Speak life over your broken spirit,
Speak life over your physical conditions. The Lord will sustain
(23:32):
him on his sick bed and restore him from his
bed of illness. Psalms for the first chapter and the
third verse Psalms one forty seven three says, he hears
the broken hearted and buys up their wounds. I'm giving
you a lot of scriptures, I know, but I want
you to just sometimes just sit down and just re
replay this broadcast or look up some of these scriptures
(23:56):
and just know that God is not a liar. A liar.
God's not a man that he can lie. He is
not a man that he can lie. God thank God
that he is a God of healing. He is the
doctor of all doctors. I praise God for that. Now,
you know what James five and sixteen tells us something
about fervent prayer. James five sixteen says, confess your faults
(24:19):
one to another and pray for another that you may
be healed. So when you go to God and you
ask for healing, the first thing you need to do
is to examine yourself. Search yourself and see if you
have any unforgiveness towards anyone, or if you have done
anything that you should not have done, or if you
should have done something that you didn't do. Then ask
God to forgive you. So then you stand before him.
(24:40):
When you come before him, you come with a clean heart,
confessing your sins, and then He can hear you, Amen
one Peter two twenty four, who his own self bear
our sins, and his own body on the tree that
we been dead to sins shall live unto righteous this
(25:01):
by whose strengths ye were healed. Hallelujah. I thank God
for his word Mark ninth chapter in twenty three verse
kind of sums it all up. Jesus saynds to him.
If thou can't believe, all things are possible to him
that believe. I thank God that he's Jehovah. Jehovah, rifle
(25:22):
the Lord that heals what about you? I thank God
for that? And how may know he's Jehovah. The Lord
is my shepherd. He is your shepherd. He gass us,
he protects us. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall
not want Psalms twenty three. You can rest in the
good Shepherd, for the Lord truly is our shepherd. I
(25:45):
want you to think about that for a minute. Think
about him being your shepherd, and what's the true meaning
of a shepherd? Paul for one minute, for one second,
and I just want you to think about that. Hallelujah
about it. He's the good shepherd, y'all. You know you
can ride out this storm when you trust the good shepherd. See,
(26:06):
a good shepherd knows his sheep, he cares for his sheep,
He loves his sheep. A good shepherd puts his loving
arms around his sheep, uplifts them and sustains them. Jesus
says in the tenth chapter of John, in eleventh verse,
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down
his life for the sheep. John ten says, I am
(26:27):
of the gate. I am the gate for the sheep.
He said all others who came before me with thieves
and robbers, but the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes,
I am the gate. Those who come in by the
way of the Gate will be saved and will go
in and out and find green pastures. You know you
can rest in green pastures when you rest in Jesus.
(26:51):
Jesus says in the eleventh chapter, first of the tenth
chapter of John, I am the good shepherd, the good
shepherdlace that is for the sheep. Thank God for being
our good shepherd. I thank God for being our good
shepherd Psalms thirty two and they says, I will instruct
(27:11):
you and teach you, and the way you should go.
I will counsel you and watch over you. Yes, I
thank God for Jehoah Rahi. The Lord is my shepherd,
and how many know ib Father, Lord, I thank you
for being able father. I thank you for being my father,
my daddy Lord God, our father, reflects on the intimacy
(27:33):
that I should have with him, similar to the one
like a child hasbtis or her father ob father. When
you really to have a relationship with God and you
see him as your father, knowing that he's much much
more than an earthly father. He is my daddy Lord,
because I am your child. I'm going to rest in
you Rama's eight sixteen. Lord, because you told me to
(27:58):
cast all my cares upon you, I'm going to rest
in you Verse Peter five seven. Yes, I thank him
for being Jehovah Rahu Rahi. The Lord is my shepherd. Hallelujah.
Guess what another name for God? Jehovah NISI woe Jehovah nissi.
(28:18):
The Lord is my banner. The Lord is my banner.
This reminds us to fight the good fight of faith.
God is my banner banner, and because he is my banner,
I am reminded to fight the good fight of faith.
Psalms thirty one twenty four says, be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen your heart all ye the hope
(28:41):
in the Lord. Roma fifteen to thirteen says, now the
God of Hope, fill you with all joy and peace
in believing that ye may abound in hope through the
power of the Holy Ghost. Yes, I thank him for
being the Lord, for being my banner. Jehovah Nissi. The
Lord is my bafner. You see, God wants us to
(29:02):
be stilled. He wants us to be stilled so that
we can rest. He wants us to rest so that
we can totally trust him. He wants us to totally
trust him. Get this, because of who he is. Because
of who he is. We've kind of gone over several
of the names of God, and those are not all
of them, but to wrap those up. He's our creator.
(29:23):
He's our provider. He's our protector. He's our shepherd. He's
our healer. He's our banner. He's our press of peace.
He is our shield. He is a faithful God. He
is a strong tower. He is a maker out of
no way. He is our financial security. He is truly
our all and all, so you can personal personalize this
(29:46):
thing you see. When you feel like you're going through
turbulent times, you say, God, I thank you for being
my creator. God, I thank you for being my provider.
When you're going through turbulent times, you need to rest
and say God, I thank you because you are my Lord.
I thank you for being my shepherd and watching over
my soul. God, I thank you for being my healer.
(30:06):
I thank you God for being my banner, having the father.
When I'm resting you and you, Lord, I can do
that because I thank you for being my prayers of peace,
my shield. God. You a faithful God. You're a strong tower.
Lord God. And God, I thank you for being a
maker out of no way Lord God, Lord God, I
thank you. Thank you for being my financial security because God,
(30:29):
you are truly my all in all. Now, even in
quiet times when it doesn't seem like he's talking, we
should cease from worrying. Just be still and rest in him,
for he is God. This is worth repeating. Then you
would call upon me and go and pray to me,
(30:50):
and I will listen to you, and you will seek
me and find me when you search for me with
all your Heart Jeremiah twenty ninth, Chapter twelfth, and the thirteenth. First,
here's another little nugget I picked up along the way
that I was reading the devotion earlier. And I didn't make
this up. This is something that I picked up from
a devotion I was reading. God's whisper can be heard
(31:13):
beyond the stars and beneath the seas. But listen, listen,
and you would hear his voice echo in your heart.
You would hear his voice echo in your heart. You know,
oftentimes marvelous things happen, and the stillness of the night,
(31:33):
there's a calm, there's a peace that surpasses all understanding.
And like I said earlier, sometimes you just gotta stand still,
and then you gotta speak peace over yourself. You gotta
grab a hold of a peace that Jesus has already
given you, as he is the Prince of Peace, and
you gotta speak to yourself and say, no, I'm not
(31:55):
gonna be moved by what I see. No, I'm not
gonna be moved by what I hear. No, I'm not
gonna be moved by what I feel. I'm gonna trust
in God. I'm gonna trust in God. God, I don't
understand why I'm going through this turbulent time, but because
you are my banner, I'm gonna rest in you. Lord.
I don't understand why I receive this bad report, but
(32:15):
because you are my banner, I'm not gonna receive that report.
In my heart, I'm gonna trust you because you are
my Jehovah Nissan. I'm gonna trust you. Lord. I don't
understand why my paycheck is not lining up with my bills,
but because you have you are Jehovah Jirah. You are
my provider, Lord God, and because you are my provider,
(32:37):
I'm going to trust you.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Lord.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
I just don't know, but because you are all these
things to me and so much more, I'm gonna rest
in you during turbulent times. Lord. Sometimes I may not
know which way to turn, but I do know that
you are all these things to me, and I'm gonna
focus on the good and perfect gifts that come from you.
And I'm not going to lean to my own underst Father,
(33:01):
I'm a clean hold of take a hold of your word,
your word that tells me to trust you with all
my heart and to lay not to my own understanding,
but in all my ways sugnounce you, and you shall
direct my path. I'm gonna thank you God for directing
my path, even when I don't realize you're doing a Father.
I'm gonna thank you, Lord God, because that's faith. For
I want to walk by faith and not by sight
(33:23):
in the name of Jesus. I want to walk by
faith and not by sight. In the name of Jesus.
You see, when you decide to rest doing turbulent times,
you simply are demonstrating that you know who God is,
and you know that He's got your back, and you
know that He's got your back with grace and mercy
(33:44):
following you all the days of your life. You know
you're gonna be okay. If we simply ignore the distractions
and focus on His promises, we can rest. That's where
faith comes in. You need to rest doing turbulent times
so you can hear from God. Search for Him with
all your heart. Sincerely, I'm talking about resting during turbulent times.
(34:09):
Rest in His word. Weeping and do it for a night,
for a moment, but joy comes in the morning that
gives me hope and expectation. Resting in His word. Lord,
I am confident of this very thing that you are
more than able to do, exceeding and abundantly all that
I can ever ask or think. So I'm gonna trust
(34:32):
in you totally. I'm gonna rest in your word. Lord.
I know that you are the God who has never
lost the battle. So this battle is really not mine,
It's yours.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
Lord.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
Lord, you are the God who has never lost a
patient Lord, God, so I'm not gonna receive that negative report. Father,
you are the God who created the entire universe by
simply saying, let there be. And so I say to
my soul, rest in God the rest. During turbulent times,
there is hope. Even in the midst of turbulent, rocky times,
(35:06):
there is hope. Rest in his words. His word in
second Corinthius Teft Chapter, in ninth verse says, my grace
is sufficient for you, for my power as made perfect
in weakness. My grace is sufficient for you, for my
power has made perfect in weakness. Yes, there is strength
(35:28):
and holding on to the Master's hand. Don't be discouraged.
Don't be discouraged. Hold onto the Master's hand. The word
of God says, though he stumbled, he will not fall,
for the Lord upholds him with his hand Psalms thirty seventh,
Chapter twenty fourth. First, you know there is freedom in
knowing God's word. Grab hold of your freedom today, even
(35:49):
in the midst of the storm, even in the midst
of turbulent times, you can break the tithes of bondage.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
So the word of God says, stand firm, then, and
do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke
of slavery. E. Scalations, fifth chapter, in the first verse
second currency is three seventeen says, where the spirit of
(36:11):
the Lord is there is freedom, which means is liberty.
Thank you Lord, there is liberty. How many know that
your greatest weapon, and I want you to get this.
Your greatest weapon during turbulent times or storms, Your greatest
weapon is guess what, praising and worshiping God. Your greatest
(36:32):
worship worship. I'm sorry, your greatest weapon is praising and
worshiping God, thanking him. You don't thank him for the problem.
You're thanking him in spite of the problem. You don't
thank him for the issue. You will thank him for
the challenge. You thanking him that in spite of everything
that's going through that you may be going through, you
still have joy. You still have joy because you serve
(36:54):
a mighty, mighty God. Oh yes, we're gonna talk about
praising God in spite of the problem. We're gonna talk
about praising God in spite of the challenges, talking about
praising God in spite of the obstacles, in spite of
what is or what is not. We're gonna talk about
praising God, Begoddess or what you may be going through,
(37:14):
my sister, even right now. Yes, you can have joy
while you are in the midst of a turbulent time.
My brother, We've all had these experiences. Oh sure, you
may be walking around men appearing like you're full of life,
but deep down you may feel there's something missing inside.
Oh yes, you may be going to church and crowd
some people all around you, but you may still feel
(37:34):
a spirit of loneliness, but you just can't get into
the praise service. Get this. Instead of praising God, you're
focusing on the problem. You looking right at your brothers
and sisters and you say to yourself, Wow, they must
really have something to praise God for. You. See, you
may be saved, but where are your praises. I'm talking
about praising God in the midst of stuff, Praising God
(37:57):
when it doesn't make sense to praise him. Thank God,
and it doesn't make sense to thank him, thank Him
and praise him. Look back over your life and see
what he's already brought you through, and knowing that it's
the same God that's brought you through before. It's the
same God that's taking you through right now and looking
towards the future, He's the same God that got you back. Oh. Yes,
you may be going to church, but it's a church
(38:18):
growing inside of you. Let me say that again. You
may be going to church, but it's a church growing
inside of you. You take your problems to the altar,
and why you're supposed to be leaving him there. You
continue to focus on the problems. I say to you
right now, my brother, stop focusing on the problem and
(38:38):
stop focusing on God's promises. Stop folks, stop focusing on
the problem, and stop meditating on God's promises. You want
to trust God, but this is what you say to yourself.
I want to trust bet, but God. I know all
the right songs to say, But God, you know the
words coming forth is sound dark, but you know you
(39:01):
ought to be praying, But and yet you keep on hoping.
You hear the word of God. You know the word
of God, and you know that God's promises are ya
na May. But there you set, absorbed in a dry
bone deep down in the valley experience, and you're trying
all by yourself to drag yourself up. You're trying to
(39:22):
do it by yourself, and it wasn't meant for you
to do it by yourself. God says, cast your cares
upon me, for I care for you. I'm talking about
if you've ever experienced a sure enough dry bone valley
experience and you have not allowed yourself to rest during
these troubler times, you need to grab hold of these scriptures,
the scripture that says be still and know that I
(39:45):
am God. I am God. Do we know that God?
We're talking about a God of many many names, a
God who's so many things to us, depending on what
we're going through, I will be exalted among a heater,
and he says I would be exalted. So I say
to you, my sisters, that in your dark places, in
your monumental experiences, in your valley, do your truly believe
(40:08):
that the same God can and will bring restoration to
your soul. Be still and know that I am God.
Who are you? Where are you? In Christ? What is
your true love? For God wants us to return to
our first love. He wants us to return to Him wholeheartedly,
(40:30):
not wavering, not striving between two fences, not wavering between
two opinions. For in spite of all that we've done
or not done, he still love us. He's the lover
of your soul. Why don't you just take a mama
right now and to praise him. Why did you just
lift your hands up if you can right now, if
you can right now, and just give him thing, Just
(40:51):
thank him because of who he is. Just thank him,
Praise him, Praise him for what he's already done. Praise
some because you're gonna walk by faith and not by praise.
Because he is God, You're deliverer. He's delivering you over
and over and over again. And the same God that
delivered you out of that situation, it's the same God
that's gonna deliver you out of this situation. For He's
(41:13):
the same God throughout in generations.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
He changes.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
Not Thank God, Praise God, Hallelujah, hallelujah. Just get this.
Sorrow never leaves us where it found us. Sorrow never
leaves us where it found us. Be still and know
that I am God. Be still and know that I
(41:39):
am God. Sometimes you might have to just keep repeating
that scripture Psalms forty six and ten. God wants me
to be still. God wants me to rest in him. Lord.
I thank you that I don't make the mark every time,
but I thank you, Lord God for your forgiveness. Lord.
I thank you, Lord God. I'm striving. I'm not perfect,
(42:00):
but I'm striving towards that mark, Lord God. I thank you,
Lord God. On this race, Lord God, I'm gonna keep on.
I'm gonna keep on keeping on, Lord God, because you
are my God, and you with me every step of
the way. Father m M. Talking about resting during turbulent times,
(42:20):
I believe that oftentimes, if not all the time, oftentimes
we go through turbulent times because God is allowing these
situations to come about to make us and to mold
us and to conform us to His image. Often times
we cry out, Satan, get behind me, or Satan, you
are defeated, when Satan might not even have anything to
(42:41):
do with this what you're going through, And so he's
laughing at you as glad to be taking the credit
for what is happening in your life when he knows
he has absolutely nothing to do with that situation. Oftentimes,
get this, we give Satan too much credit. How many
know that these turbulent dry bone experiences will prove you
full for us when we are in any position to
(43:02):
lift someone else up. When we are in any position to
lift someone else up, So when you are in the valley,
give praises to God. When you are in the valley,
thank him for you can look up and see that
mountain top. When you feel like you are in a tunnel,
you thank him because you know there is light at
the end of the tunnel. You thank Him when you
feel like you can't hold hold on in the longer.
(43:23):
You tie a knock on that rope and you hang
on knowing trust it in believing that you're deliverance is
right there. Your deliverance is right there. Thank him in
spite of the problems, because the word tells us to
thank him. Psalms thirty fourth verse tells us to bless
the Lord at all times. His praise shock continually be
(43:44):
in our mouths. Bless the Lord at all times. His
praise shot continually be in our mouths all times, not
just when I feel good, but all times. Not just
when things are going well, but all times. Praise Him.
In the midst of your dry bone experiences. Pray some
even if you're going through turbulent times, and be mindful
(44:05):
what David said in Psalms twenty seven, fourth chapter one
thing by desires of the Lord, that will I seek
after that I may dwell in the house of the
Lord all the days of my life, to be behold
the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.
For in the time of trouble, Thank you Lord, he
(44:27):
shall hide me in his pavilion, and the secret of
his tabernaka shall he hide me. He shall set me
upon a rock. Hallelujah. Jesus is reminding someone today to
rest rest in him. Rest in him during turbulent times.
(44:49):
Trust in me, Jesus says. Keep your eyes on the prist.
Jesus says, let me restore life into your dry bones,
for you shall live and not die. You shall live
and not die. And I believe God is speaking to
someone someone right now, someone right now, he's telling you,
lift your head up, Lift your head up, and praise
(45:10):
me in spite of what you may be going through,
because guess what, you shall live and not die. You
shall live and not die. Death is already defeated. I
thank God for the cross. I thank God for the cross.
How are you going to truly appreciate the sunshine if
you don't have some rain in your life? How are
you ever going to truly appreciate the mountaintop if you
(45:32):
never been down in the valley? How are you going
to truly appreciate love if you never experience hate? How
are you going to truly appreciate joy if you never
experience some sorrow? And how are you going to appreciate
the shelter if you never go through the storm? Praise
him in the valley, for the valley isn't going to
(45:52):
last always. Yes, you will get to that mountaintop. Rats
during these turbulent times, praise him he shelter, mean you
right now from the storm. Speak to that problem using
the word of God. And it is written in Isaiah
fifty five and seventeen. No weapon formed against me shall prosper,
and every tongue that shall rise up against me, and
(46:15):
judgment shall be condemned. The Word of God didn't say
that repon would be formed. He said it shall not prosper.
It shall not prosper. You need to let the problem
know what God's promises are. And we know God's promises.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Are so many.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Yea and amen. See even in the midst of your
troubulous experiences, praise him. I cannot say that enough. Praise him,
Worship him. Get you some good praise and worship me,
and let it minister to your soul. Think about the
goodness of Jesus and all that He's done for you,
and start that. Praise Him and worship him, and just
keep on rejoicing and standing on Scriptures that confirm that
(46:53):
you will never never alone, even in the midst of
a dry bone experience. Scriptures like the Lord is my shepherd,
so I don't don't want for anything. Scripture is like
I have been young and may be old now, but
yet I've never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed
begging bread. Be still and know that I am the Great.
I am O taste and see that the Lord is
(47:16):
good for his mercy and doeth forever speak the Word
over and over yourself. And while you're doing that, keep
all praising him, keep on praising him, rest during turbulent times,
resting him, resting his word, way patiently on him, for
he is almighty God. Is there anything too hard for God?
(47:37):
Are your shoulders swunger than God's? Take your burdens to
the Lord and leave them there. You see, I know
him to be a reward, for the Scripture tells me
that he is a reward to those who diligently seek him.
He is all these things to you today. God desires
for re piteous people to be free of bondashes, to
(47:59):
be free of That's why it's so important to praise
Him at all times. For He truly inhabits the praises
of his people. God truly enjoys the praises of his people.
He truly inhabits and dwells the praises of his people.
And it's through these praises that your breakthrough is gonna come,
Brothers and sisters. I know this to be true from
(48:22):
personal experience, because it's in the Word. Also, the Bible
tells us that heaven and earth may pass away, but
God's Word will never pass away. Well, you said this
all sounds good. I really wish I had that kind
of faith. I really wish I could step out in
this knowledge. Have you forgotten? Have you forgotten that it
only takes a mustlety kind of faith to step out
(48:45):
and trust God. You just got to praise him. You
can ride out this storm through a prevalent times for
the sun it's going to come out tomorrow. This too
shall pass. It may seem like the storm is lasting forever,
but guess what, it's not. Jesus says it's gonna be okay.
Just put your trust in the Master, for he knows
the plans he has for you. He is the master planner.
(49:09):
He is the master planner. Yes, sometimes the storm's gonna
get rough. Sometimes they gonna get dark and gloomy like
a tunnel. But again there is light at the end
of the tunnel. Just trust in him. You may be
sad or heavy burdened, but the Word lets us know.
In Psalms one forty seven three, he healeth the broken
in heart and bindeth up their wounds. Guess what God
(49:32):
is not slack concerning his promises as some mere account's slackness,
But it's long suffering. He's a long suffering God. Yes,
you should rest through a troubling times. Lead not to
your all own understanding, rest in Him. Be still and
see the salvation of the Lord. Be still and know
(49:53):
that God is God. Now, before I close, I know
that I may be speaking to some one there, that
these words may be falling on death their ears because
you have not truly trusted God either, you have not
trusted him as your savior, and that's the first step
you need to do, or you're not trusting him completely.
(50:14):
Just as you can trust Him as your savior, you
can trust him in everything. But we cannot leave you
tonight without giving you an opportunity right now to trust
Jesus as your savior while you're still breathing. You've got
to do it while you're still breathing. You too, can
have a heart of amility and not of pride. If
you're not saved, what are you talking about, sister, If
(50:37):
you're not repented of your sins? What are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (50:40):
Sister?
Speaker 1 (50:40):
If you're not turned away from your sins and ask
Jesus to come into your heart. If you not want
your sins, sure that you will spend it turning to
in heaven. Let me ask you this, If you breathe
your last breath right now, where would you spend eternity
in heaven or in hell? My brothers and sister, Hell
(51:03):
is real. Heaven is real. Don't let anybody fool you.
It's real. Listen very closely if you are not one
hundred percent sure you would spend eternity in heaven, and
get this. If you are saved, then listen to these
words carefully so that you can share them with someone else.
Nobody else can save you. Nobody can save you but Jesus.
(51:25):
There is only one way to God, and that's through
his son, Jesus Christ. John fourteen six. Jesus says, unto him,
I am the Way, the Truth, and the life. No
man coming to the Father but by me. Act fourth
chapter in the Trust, Firse says, neither is there salvation
and any other, for there is none other name under
(51:46):
heaven given unto man whereby we must be saved. Are
you saved? Are you born again? I ask you this
because of all the things I've said, this is the
most important. Have you made the confession that Jesus Christ
is Lord Rama's tenth chapter, the ninth verse says that
if thou shall confess thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
(52:07):
shall believe in our heart that God has raised them
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. So the first
thing you need to do is admit that you are
a sinner. Ramas three ten says, as it is written,
there is none righteous, no, not one. The second thing
you need to do is be willing to turn from
your sins, that's to repent. And the third thing you
(52:29):
need to do is believe that Jesus Christ died for you,
was buried and rose from the dead. For Romos ten
ten says, forth with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness,
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Then
the fourth thing you need to do through prayer, invite
Jesus to come and to your life to become your savior.
(52:51):
For Ramas ten thirteen says, for whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved. You can
do that right where you are. You don't have to
be in church, a physical church. You don't have to
be with a whole bunch of people. It can be
be just you and God. You and God, and this
is the prayer, and you have to pray sinceal it
(53:12):
from your heart, and you can repeat after me, and
God will hear you and respond if you say that
sincerely with a pure heart. Dear God, I am a
sinner and I need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ
shed his precious blood and died for my sin. I
(53:33):
am willing to turn from my sin. So I now
invite Christ to come into my heart and my life
as my personal savior. Amen. If you just trusted Jesus
as your person save you. If you just prayed that prayer,
you my brother and my sister are truly now my
(53:55):
brother and my sister, and you have just begun a
wonderful new life with him. Now you need to get
a good Bible and read it every day to get
to know Jesus better. Talk to God in prayer every day.
You don't need any fancy words to talk to God.
And then get baptized, worship and fellowship and services each
other Christians in a local church where Christ is preached
(54:17):
and the Bible is the final authority. And then don't
be selfish with this thing. Tell others about Jesus Christ.
Tell others. Now, if you just accepted Christ as your Savior.
