SG Tasz published her first piece of writing at the age of eleven. She wrote a poem for a class that was selected to be a part of a regional student anthology, at which point she retired from poetry, knowing that this was the highest accolade a poem of her's was likely to receive. However, she still has a copy of that anthology. As you can see, she was a bit dark even then. She is a multimedia writer.

(00:02):
Hello everyone. And if you're wonderingwhy you're looking at a picture, so
am I I'm choking. I actuallydo know zom zoom good enough to know,
like, you know, my camerais off, but that's about as
much as I would know about too. Yeah, and you can't even see
me do the eye shuffle to makeit unbelievable. Right anyway, So I'm
at the beach and then I havebeach hair, and I was like,

(00:22):
yeah, that's not gonna look cuteon the show. But I'm doing the
show anyway. Commitments anyway, Iwill Nona at the end. I thought,
ladies and you can find out everythingyour ladies are up to it www
dot d I thought Ladies dot com. We wrote seven books it's in.
I thought being grown up with CZand I thought divorce was bad and that

(00:43):
if only I were met a memoirand Verse, Woodles, deb Woodles,
web Web and Foreign Coffee. Heyy'all, we have a new book coming
out. I should probably let y'allknow that like next month, which is
like in a week, and it'scalled And I thought I Knew You,
which is a murder mystery Poe Witchterybook. Yes, it's a murder mystery
done in different styles of poetry.I feel like, as a narcissist,

(01:04):
I have done enough talking about myself, which is odd because anacissist never gets
finished talking about themselves. Yeah,no, I'm done, But you're not
here to hear about me. You'rehere to hear about our wonderful guests.
Wonderful guests. Would you like tointroduce yourself? Absolutely? Hi. My
name is Sarah Tosh. I writeunder the pen name Sgtash, and I

(01:26):
am here. I've been on theshow before. I've been talking about my
series Deadmall, which is now actuallycomplete, and I'm coming out with a
new book one a new series. It's called Death by Misadventure and that's coming
out next month too, and thatis also it's not poetry, but it's

(01:47):
also a murder mystery with some magic. Involves an urban fantasy mystery adventure book.
I'm not gonna lie. There wasno like real magic or fantasy in
it out to be like, didyou change is this invasion of the body
Snatcher? No, it's still it'sstill magic. That's my thing. Everything

(02:08):
I write is always going to havesome magic in it. And it is
also set in Nevada like Dead Mallwas this time in Las Vegas itself,
which is where I live, socarrying over some threads from the previous series
two. So I have to ask, how does it feel to say goodbye

(02:28):
to a whole series, because there'squite a few Dead Mall Yes, yep,
there are with the prequel. Thereare eight standalone books and then a
couple of compilations. It was emotional, it was it was like kind of
saying goodbye to friends. But itreally helped that, Like I was able

(02:49):
to end the story in a waythat I felt really proud of, and
I ended it in a way thatfelt like, this is a good time,
this makes sense. Everything is kindof told, but you know,
there may be some room to openit up in the future, but not
necessarily. It's pretty much a donedeal and everyone's just kind of going off

(03:12):
on their way. So yeah,I was emotional, but ultimately really satisfying,
and I was I'm proud of it. I remember I ended the series
after twenty six books. I've beenwriting it since I was twelve years old,
and I was seventeen at the time. No, I'm sorry, I
was nineteen at the time when Iended it. Wow, Yeah, I
was so hurt. I'm not gonnalie as a narcissist, you know.

(03:36):
I was going to put me inhere, and then I came around and
I was like, you know something. About three years later, I said,
let's reintroduce the whole thing, andI just redid the entire thing like
they were in a parallel universe startingwith one. Yeah, I won't lie.
There's some ideas for some spinoffs andthings in my head, but nothing

(03:57):
nothing on papers just yet. Sowe'll see. Right now, I'm on
this new series. It's hard tosay goodbye to those people. But can
you tell people where to find theDead Marble series? All eight books right
now, all eight books are availableon Amazon. They're in paperback, they
are in ebook, and they arein Kindle unlimited. And there are a

(04:21):
couple of independent bookstores around Vegas, and then one in the Midwest where you
can find them as well. Ilove how you add it. And then
there's one in the Midwest. Yeah, Studio Moonfall in Kenosha. I just
stitt of signing there. I methim through an event in Vegas last Ball
Donovan who owns the place, andhe's been really supportive of the book and

(04:46):
the series, and he's the firstone in the Midwest to carry my books.
Hopefully not the last, but Igotta give a shout out to the
first one. So if you wantto her books to be carried in the
Midwest, and you're listening to this, and I know we have a few
Midwest fans, you need to goand order it to your Barnes and Nobles,
actually Barnes and Nobles to please carryit. I actually think that I

(05:06):
have friends. It was like Itold them, like around the country.
I was like, go go askyour Barnes and Noble to carry it.
Yep. And I was like,it's not gonna work. And then one
day I recognized that every time wedid an interview, we would sell out
of all of our used books. And then so I just started buying all
the used books, and I foundout that they were being sold from like

(05:28):
stores in the Midwest, like theywere originally at Barnes and Nobles, and
then they were at a second handstore and you could see it and I'm
like, oh my god, thisis hilarious. So it works, yeah,
but please don't sell it to asecondhand store because if we buy it,
we'll know I'm joking, we'll neverknow. We'll never know anyway,

(05:49):
you haven't second series coming up?Yeah, you tell us about this new
series. You seem so excited.Do you see how big that smile was.
You're like, yes, tell usabout it. I am. I'm
really excited about it. So thisone is a I'm excited about it because
I get to finally set something inLas Vegas as I'm living here, so

(06:13):
I've got, you know, researchin my own backyard kind of thing.
So that's like the big reason I'mexcited about it. So, like I
said, this is a magical mystery, urban fantasy style book. It's a
it's an adult book. Deadmall isfor why this is now for a more
mature audience. It's got a romanticsubplot, but nothing crazy spicy, and

(06:36):
it is about a woman who hasthe power to basically turn into a ghost
and she uses this power to basicallybe a murder for higher type assassin and
she goes around and murders people whoshe feels deserve it. She gets hired.

(06:58):
She kind of evaluates the case isand then makes the decision whether or
not to act on it. Andthe main plot of book one is that
she is accused of murdering someone thatshe actually didn't kill, a sort of
magical police officer that works for thesecret organization called the Order, who is

(07:20):
the community and of magical operators inthe city of Las Vegas. So she
has to spend the book trying toprove herself innocent. And the romantic component
in it is that while she's stillunder suspicion, she is going to be
essentially chained to an investigator for theOrder who thinks that she is guilty,

(07:45):
So you can kind of see howthat might evolve as the story goes on.
So it's really fun. You getto see a lot of magic kind
of stuff that you know, anotherside of Vegas, I guess, both
in the sense that like, Ilive here, so I can share a
little bit more about the stuff that'soff the strip that's actually quite real,

(08:09):
and then the fictional stuff of likethe magic you don't see just below the
surface, which is the kind ofstuff I love to write. So yeah,
I'm really excited about the book.It comes out September twelve, and
that is it's on pre order forebook right now, and then it will
be in paperback on the twelfth. When the release actually happens too. Okay,

(08:33):
okay, the excitement you have thisis new book excitement. This is
I see it. It's so muchfun to explore something new and then especially
on a John that that you lovethat how many books you think this one
will? This series will be,So it's definitely going to be three,
for sure. I have the secondone I'm writing right now. The third

(08:54):
one is kind of in an outlinephase, and then I've got ideas for
a fourth and fifth. I imagineit will be at least as long as
Dead Mall. It could end upbeing something more like A because it's very
much like a if you know DresdenFiles or if you know the Sucky Stackhouse,

(09:15):
the books that True Blood were basedon, it's very much like those,
and you know Sucky Stackhouse one thirteen, Dress and Files is still going
on. So I'm anticipating this one'sgoing to be a much much longer continuation.
I just want to mention that yousaid this, the reality the relationship

(09:35):
is not going to be that spicy, but you already have chains and loves.
Yeah, it's also missing is afew whips in this, maybe a
handcuff. Just remember it's magical,So it's not like an actual like metal
chain. It's a magical which opensitself up to kind of uh, its

(09:58):
own sort of quirks and so yeah, I mean, I will say it's
not spicy. It doesn't fade toblack as they say. There is a
bit of on screen passion, butit's very slow burn, so which is
kind of my either a signature ora curse, depending on how you look
at it. So it's yeah,it's not like five pages and you're having

(10:24):
a love scene right away, butthere is some later on and will most
likely be in later books as well. Okay, so more of a tether
less of handcuffs. Sorry, yep, I should it's the beach. I'm
like, you know when you whenyou're at the beach and you're in the
bathing suit, you're like, wait, romance let me. Yeah, I'm

(10:50):
blaming it on the beach. Canyou tell us where we can find out
more information about you and any otherbooks that you know that you come up
with me? Because I feel likethere should be sincepin Off some dead mall.
Yes, definitely, So where canwe find all that information? Best
place to go for me is mywebsite www dot sgtash dot com. I'm

(11:11):
also fairly active on Facebook, atleast for the moment. Hopefully that trend
continues on Instagram, and I'm juststarting to get onto TikTok now but you
know, so I'm there, butI'm not. But the website is where
you'll be able to find most ofthe stuff. I want to thank you
so much for taking time out ofyour day to come and talk about on

(11:35):
our silly show about your new book. I'm so excited. Thank you,
well, thank you for taking timeout of the beach to speak to me.
I feel I feel very honored.Actually it was fun and this,
oh my god, so never mind, I'll talk about that afterwards. I
was like, I was about toget real personal on the show, but
like, yeah, I'm gonna getpersonal. There was this really cute baby

(11:56):
that my friend has and she boughther over and I'm like, it's the
cutest baby I've ever seen, andso I was like to leave her.
It was hard. It was veryhard, but that's okay. I'm right
because it's not time for her anyway, so I'm not missing that much.
Well, there you go. Perfect. Yeah, So okay, so you
can find out everything that your ladiesare up to at www dot and I
thought ladies dot com. And whileyou're there, go down to the middle

(12:20):
of the page and you can seethe charities that we've probably support. We
asked that if you have some timeto get some time or some money,
you can support them as well.Remember that wisdom is all around you if
you're open to finding it and acceptingit. A piece of love you guys
from Wamma and a missing jade.Oh yeah, thanks for listening.
