Speaker 4 (00:26):
It does not.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What do we got?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
We got basketball tonight, Husky's at alcorn State coming up.

What famous quarterback played for alcorn State?

Speaker 2 (00:47):
No, I know, I know the answered, David.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
What's Steve McNair air McNair Aaron McNair.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
You're correct, is in serious discussions on a new four
team tournament format for the twenty twenty five dollar Game.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Tell me if you like this, this is what it's
expected to be.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
So yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:03):
Two semi final games where you play up to forty
points ters advance and the finals is just a game
to twenty five points. So you got quick competition pickup
ball style for the All Star.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Do I like that format?

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I just think all these All Star games are just
beyond dumb, now right.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
I mean, they're so dumb that we're coming up with
these cockamabe ways to get people to tune in. A
big news of the NFL Niners Packers on Sunday. Brock
Perty's not gonna play. Brandon Allen's gonna start his spot.
It hurts to play the Seahawks. By the way, He's
got a shorter injury from the Seahawks game. Nick Bosta
is also out, and left tackle Trent Williams is questionable
for the game on Sunday at Lambeau.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Giants releasing Daniel Jones at the quarterbacks request, and the
Giants Giants may be without Moleik Neighbors for Tommy to
beat there to throw to this weekend. Neighbors not practicing
today with a growing injury. He has listed this question.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
All right, what do you say we talked some dogs
ducks right now?

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Okay? Eighteen yard line of Oregon, Dogs down by four,
snat Pennix to throw, goes for the end.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Zone off the left sideline.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Roll the dope, hide, touchdown, Washington dotar words shoot up
out of the scoreboard.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
WoT thirty eight to go and.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
The Huskies take the lead. A heismid moment for Michael
Pennix and a Roman.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
Dukes third and nine.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
If they can take fifteen seconds off the clock, they're
gonna win the ball game.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Toss sweep right. Dylan Johnson cuts up field. Oh, he's
gonna go because the thirty five thirty He slides down
to the twenty five. The Huskies are gonna win the
Top twelve championship. Dylan Johnson did it?

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Do you believe it?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Huskeys? It's one of my favorite plays in Husky football history.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Dick.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
I know we've gone back and forth on this man,
But Dylan Johnson with that third down run, it was
it was first and twenty after Nate Caleppo's holding's penalty,
and Dylan Johns and said, just give me the ball
and get the hell out of the way, and I'll
get all twenty yards for you on my own.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
What you would have gotten twenty he could have gotten
twenty more if you want.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
The only thing that would have made it better is
if he were to scored on that third down play.
But joining us right now on the radio show we
are eight days away from you, dub and Oregon and
Watson Stadium.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I know it's one of his favorite plays of all
time as well.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
The color analysts for the Oregon Radio Network, our buddy
Mike Jorgensen, Georgie, how are you fella.

Speaker 6 (03:28):
Hey's cute when that happened. So I just wanted to
let you know that.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
So, yeah, I don't blame you at all.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
I mean, honestly, man, how much does that game and
not just that game, but also the Week six game
motivate you your fan base and this team for next Saturday?

Speaker 6 (03:45):
The last three if you want to go that way,
I mean, it's they had some duties. I mean last
year's games were classics between those two teams, between Oregon Washington,
I mean, right down to the end in both of them,
and you know, two really good teams. It was almost
too bad from a Dutch perspective that Oregon played Washington
twice in that type of situation and you know, and

(04:06):
not be able to make a playoffs. I mean, two
off teams don't make it when you've got undefeated ones
like Washington and some of the other teams last year,
Michigan and the rest of them. But the last three
have been hangover type of games, frankly for Duck fans,
for the coaching staff, and for all the team that's
still here. And I think they're really hungry for this
team to get here next Saturday, Mike.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
The turnover at Washington, though, makes it a lot different.
I know, if the situation was reversed. I mean, I'd
be looking forward to hammering a you know, depleted, turned
over Oregon team, but I would also realize that I
can't get the true revenge that I really want because
these aren't two championship teams going at it anymore. So

(04:47):
is that maybe kind of in the minds of the
at least the Oregon fans that it's not It's just
not the same as it was last year.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
It's a different makeup. I mean, there's no doubt about that.
He's when you don't see Odonsay and some of the
guys out there playing tennis and the rest of them,
and even makes it a little bit different for the fans,
not of the players, not of the staff and whatsoever.
So you know, it's kind of who gives a crap
what the fans think. They'll they'll show up and they
will be hungry, you know, to get into that game,

(05:14):
to be part of that game. But it is changed
they did. Frankly, to be honest with you, I'm surprised
how well Washington has done with the turnovers to that,
you know, I mean, I think that that fish has
done a great job and some of the guys that
have hung around and and did part of that. You know,
you look at the total number of guys that left
last year from that Hunsky program, what they've been able

(05:35):
to do and how they did in a lot of footballers.
I mean, it's it's actually pretty good. I get that.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Well, Mike Jorgenson's with us.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
There's only like three people I can stand in the
state of Oregon, and he's one of them, by the way,
joining us right now on the radio show. And you know,
I've been telling people, Mike that I think last year's
team was better than this year's team. I mean, obviously,
these guys are number one in content of this year's
college football and they may win the national championship. Who knows,

(06:05):
But do you feel that way that last year's team
was better than this year's team or am I crazy
on that?

Speaker 5 (06:11):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (06:12):
You know there's probably pieces saftis that would be the case.
I mean as sure where Buck Yerley would have stayed
for one more year. And yet you know, George James
is over one thousand yards rushing this year. So it's
tough to you know, all of a sudden say well, geez,
you're lost out there when the rushing game has done
pretty well and yet I think they've ran it better
last year as an offense. You know, Jackson powers Johnson

(06:33):
at the center position, there's no doubt about it. We
love what he's playing out in the NFL right now.
I mean at that position, and they're still pretty good.
This year, they were even better at that position. And
that's a key position too. And it's tough to really
kind of compare Knicks to Gabriel. I mean, Knicks is
a different type of player. I mean, I think if
you look at which of the two is going to

(06:55):
have more success than in the NFL over the long run,
depending on how Gabriel get viewed by the NFL, it's
probably gonna be nicked just because of height and the
body type that the NFL I used to see, you
know alone, how fishing isn't that tape the deal. So
there's bits and pieces of it you could take a
look at. But I can also tell you the growth
on the outside on the defensive side of the ball

(07:15):
this year is better than it was last year. The
growth of the defensive ends in tuiod and under a leg,
it's completely different than it was last year. And so
you know, there's bits and pieces that are better, maybe
not so good, but it's they're in the same spot.
And obviously they're one less loss of the hair this
time all year.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Hey, eleven and oh is impressive. You can never turn
your nose up at eleven and no. But I mean
I'm looking at the road schedule that Oregon has had
compared to the road schedule that the Huskies have had
at Penn State, at Indiana, at Oregon, and I'm wondering,
is Oregon properly prepared for going outside of Otson Stadium
and playing college football playoff football?

Speaker 6 (07:58):
I think so thikures than he's got about that. I mean,
anytime you've got some vetery guys that have played in big,
big games in the right positions. Number One, all this
get on Gabriel right now because of the games that
he's played in over his career, big games and particularly
at Oklahoma and in tough to play, tough places to play,

(08:18):
I mean the Red River Rold League instead of Texas
where he led them to victory in that game. He's
been in big games, and I don't think this is
going to be really any different for this team. They
kind of take on that challenge and really frankly game line,
and he prepares them. I mean his motivational speeches and
his motivation during the week leading up to whatever game

(08:38):
they have, whether it's in the Big House. And you know,
we know Michigan, both of us know Michigan isn't what
they were last year. But at the same time, going
there it can be a little bit intimidating the time.
Wisconsin is a tough place to play. So you know,
this year, this team has just figured out a way
to get it done, whether it's starting quick and getting
a lead because they've struggled in the third quarter a
little bit. This season. They were scored I think thirty

(08:59):
six thirty up the points. You know, those are the
type of things that they've been able to overcome, I
think because of the leadership and some of the officiality
that goes with it. But get to answer your question,
I think the right way they need to be.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
It sounds like you're getting some email back there by
the way, you might want to turn those notifications like.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
A skype call. It's like AOL. That's like AOL.

Speaker 6 (09:20):
It's work. It's my real job trying to get ahold
of it.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
So I got, well, you know what, Tom to back off, right,
you're on with us, for God's sake, that's all that matters.
But Mike Jorgenson with us from the Oregon Radio Network
and Mike uh Demon Williams, will Rogers, you know, we're
all waiting to see what Jetfish does at quarterback next Saturday.
I mean, Dick and I are on the same page
that we'd kind of like to see the kids start

(09:44):
against the Ducks. Does it matter from your perspective down
there who Washington starts a quarterback?

Speaker 6 (09:52):
Well, yeah, for me it does. You know, who knows
from a coaching staff they're going to prepare for Bolt,
There's no doubt about it. But demm Williams just adds
a different dimension to that offense. I mean, he's the
type of guy that can frustrate the hell out of
you if you're a defense by trying to chase that athletic,
athletic guy like him around. And he's been halfway decent
throwing the ball. I mean, he hasn't thrown a pick.

(10:13):
He's pretty efficient from a percentage standpoint. And I've watched
him play on TV where you guys are playing and
when the Huskies you're playing. Shoot, he's tough. He's tough
to tackle. I mean, you can't you think you haven't contained,
and he'll just go someplace else. You all of a
sudden want to make a bee line at him, and
he'll beat you on the outside of he as as
fast as anybody on the field. So I think, well,

(10:34):
you know, Will Rogers a little bit more of a
statue in the pocket, See, you better protect him well,
because well you can get that of the quarterback. So
I think Demal Williams adds a whole different dimension. And
particularly you play both at the same time, you've got
to be prepared for both. And when you're prepared for two,
it's really tough to concentrate on being really really good
at prepared for one. So he adds a whole different

(10:54):
dimension I think to that Washington Husky offense.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Mike, what's been your evaluation of Dylan Gabriel this year?

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Uh, just just really makes good decisions. He just has
not panicked. I think he's bought a sense of calm
and in a lot of situations with this team when
maybe at times in some of the games stuff that
hasn't done real well. Uh, he has managed the game
really well when the when the offense is struggling, he's
not forcing the ball into coverage for turnovers and an

(11:23):
extra possession of the other team. Uh. There's a few
situations where he's gotten pretty heated in relationship to you know,
not back and down from the defensive players when somebody
else maybe gets you know, gets jacked up someplace else
on the field. He goes after people in the right
spot and yet knows we're not to go too far.

(11:43):
I think he's just bought a sense of calls to
the offense and conference and he doesn't force the ball
when there's times that some points I wish it would
just throw it up, throw it deep, you know, we'll
go with it and see what happens if somebody can
win to jump ball. He doesn't do that. He just
takes what they give you. And I think he's just
been steady fready all the way through. And that's that's
what that offense is means.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
Well.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
Mike Jorgenson, again from the Oregon Radio Network, is with
us on the air. Dan Landing is zero and three
against the Huskies so far as the head coach of
the Oregon Ducks. And I saw his reaction when you
guys beat Ohio State earlier this year.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
We saw his reaction. It was like he won the
Super Bowl. I mean, we know how big that win
was for him.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
How big of a monkey is this on his back,
this Husky football team, and how big and how important
is this game for him?

Speaker 6 (12:28):
You think, well, you know, there's gonna be a lot
of people that make a big deal.

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Out of it.

Speaker 6 (12:35):
You know, all his five losses three or little Huskies, right,
I mean, it's still more than half of them, and
it's not a very big number.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
You know, it's been one of those ones where nobody
that works green and yellow likes to see a streak
in favor of the purple and gold. Listen to that
about that. So I'm sure there's gonna be a lot
of questions to him about it all week long. Uh,
it's gonna be one of those ones where hopefully he
and the and the coaching staff and I think they're
going to try to make sure they have coaches like
any other game. But it's stuck it right. I mean,

(13:03):
these two teams don't like each other in the fan bases,
don't like each other. You know, sometimes I don't like you,
and so it's one of those ones where you just don't,
well you don't. I mean some bad they's all the
said that too. But it's gonna be fun. I mean
I think he's he's gonna have this team really prepared
to go. Frankly, I just don't think the guy really
pays attention to what happened last year or the year before.

(13:25):
I think he's pretty focused. And so it's this coaching
staff and this team on that game coming up in
two weeks.

Speaker 5 (13:31):
Will he ever pull back a little bit on the
aggressive in game decisions?

Speaker 4 (13:36):
I mean it's got fire.

Speaker 5 (13:39):
I mean it just I mean it seems like it's
hurt him more than it's helped him. I Mean, he's
had so many high profile ones.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
H He's been on the right side of him this year,
last year, the big ones he was on the wrong
side of. And you know, it is one of those
ones where I think they did really strategic you know,
they've made some really strategic kind of moves, right, I
mean against ohose eate put twelve guys on the field
and you get called the cheater when it's just basically

(14:07):
fighting a loophole and a rule holt. I mean, it
was kind of a genius type of move. It's like
they did against Michigan when they lined up to pump
the ball and instead of lining up in your traditional
punk formation, they line up in the swinging gate formation
with only the center snapping back, you know, to the
punter with a couple of protectors, Well, what are you
going to do on defense? Leave the center uncovered? So

(14:29):
they covered the center five yard penalty on fourth and
four first down, where you go down scores. I mean,
they make some really kind of fun, strategic type of decisions.
Now the other ones you're talking about, yeah, they did
Chancey and they came back and did them in the
rear last year, this year so far, even last week
and against Wisconsin, up by three running the fake field
goal towards the end. Pretty chancy deal, but I think

(14:52):
he had a lot of confidence in defense. And you
know when that came out on the Oregon side, so
it's yeah, it's one of those ones where you flipped
the coin, right.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Well, Mike, yeah, Mike, you got to agree and Mike
Jorgensen a game with us from the Oregon Radio Network.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
It was kind of greasy.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
I mean, it may be allowed technically, but it was
a little bit greasy what Lanning did during the Buckeye game.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
And it was so greasy. The n C double A
on Monday said that said, I mean, the n cnuble a.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Takes like years to make decisions, and by Monday at
five o'clock they've they've changed it after what you guys did.
But speaking of that, I gotta ask your real quick,
Mike before you go. Uh, last year in Seattle was
Terrence Ferguson two years ago? Is Chris Hudson what Oregon
player is most likely to fake an injury in this
game next Saturday? Speaking of greasy, there is Mike Guy

(15:49):
Tosh the boy still there because he's the're apt to
do it?

Speaker 2 (15:54):
All right? Well, just text me. Just text me the
name of the guy I got a bet with a buddy.
I'm right, just text me the name. Alright. We'll do
it off here, all right, JORGI.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
I don't say this very often about people from Oregon,
but you're a good egg, all right, and uh we'll
talk down there, old buddy.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I appreciate it, man, you guys do we'll have the
Oh god.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
He is just like me, a huge fan of those
old fashioned friends donuts. Man, it's my biggest vice. You know,
the six pack, right, I could eat?

Speaker 4 (16:24):
I love your damn fashion is my favorite.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Dude. Go to do yourself a favor. Go to like
your local amp.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
I'm seven to eleven, whatever, Go stop by the Franz Bakery,
grab yourself a six pack of the old fashions. Just blah,
just swallow the whole freaking thing. Man, before thirty ten,
pre thirty ten, fat guy, softy, I would have six
of those on the way to work and then six
more on the way home.

Speaker 5 (16:44):
You know, I I think I would dislike Dan Lanning
no matter what team he coaches. Yeah, I mean he
is just one like he and Kurt Signetti. Man, it's
just like talk about two guys that haven't accomplished Jack
squat that just think there you know what doesn't stink
in common.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
The difference the difference between Signetti and Landing is that
Signetti doesn't seem to be making dumbass decisions during the
game the week.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
He seems to be a much more master kind of
exactly dumb dumb something else, Dan, Can I have this burger?

Speaker 6 (17:16):
Now?

Speaker 3 (17:16):
By the way, I'd like to go to a break
so I can eat this burg We're going to break.
We're here at the San Juan seltzri What is this,
by the way, that they dropped off here? The onion rings, barbecue, sauce, bacon,
what's that?

shine walk out the door like that guy just did.
By the way, by the way, you saw me kind
of freaking out there during that last sear What was
what happened? Our big KJR stand up huge like ten

(17:52):
by ten foot banner during the segment, fell right into
the fire pit here at San Juan Seltzer. Oh my god,
and nobody's paying attention except for me.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
I mean, that's how close we were to lose in
this place. Man, it's unbelievable. They're all taking advantage of
the cocktails. Nobody. There's a freaking fire outside. Hello, you're
the only one.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
You're the only one working and the only one paying
attention to what's going on elsewhere.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Okay, Fireman, Softie radio guy, Dave Man, It's just I'm
just doing everything, all right.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Swing on by.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
We'll give away a trip to the UW Organ game
as well at five forty five. Hugh Millon joins at
five o'clock. Right here on ninety three three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Back to the Washington State Beat Commissions Football Friday with
SOFTI and Dick on your home for the NFL Sports
Radio ninety three point three kJ r FL.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
All right back here at the sand Juan Seltzery. You
don't say San Juan Seltzer sultry. I got yelled at
by Kyle about five years ago for that ever, A
little redundant or whatever, it's the San Juan Seltzer Seltzery.
But you can't say that because Kyle gets Max so
sandw on Seltzery.

Speaker 5 (19:01):
Yeah, well, that would be like calling it a beer brewery.
You don't call it a beer brewery. Just call it
a brewery, right, you.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
Know what, whatever, you're wrong, he's wrong, I'm right, But
you know what, he's prying the bills and that's fine.
San Juan seltzriy here three nine oh one, first average
South Humolon's gonna join us at five.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
O'clock and really cool thing. They've got all.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Drinks fifty percent off between now and seven o'clock. And
if you want to see the gigantic kJ R backdrop
catch on fire, this is the place to beep, because
it almost did during the last segment. So swing on
by here and take advantage of the cocktails. All drinks
at the bar are half off between now and seven o'clock.
We're gonna give away that trip to the uw Orgon
game by the way, five to forty five this evening,

(19:42):
Hewitt five steven SUSA will join us at six and
talk about how about cal Rowley dumping Scott Boris, guys,
I mean I saw that news yesterday, Dick. You saw
that News yesterday, Andrews, you can weigh in here is
the what's the name of your podcast again? Baseball Mariners Weekly.
So the whole Nerds thing. You just realized how that was?

Speaker 4 (20:01):
Yes, that is exactly.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Yeah, oh my god, dude, Like I I just don't
know why you even thought that was a good idea
for them, But I'm glad I.

Speaker 5 (20:11):
Don't make mistakes because you keep talking about it every time.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
You figured it out. So my first reaction as well,
that helps our cause or does it?

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Well?

Speaker 5 (20:23):
I can't imagine how it hurt it. I mean, Scott
Boris would, I mean, the links he would go to
get his clients overpaid knows no bounds, and the Mariners
don't like to pay a lot of money for players,
So that just seems like a pretty good, pretty good
trade off by going to to somebody else in Scott Bors.
I just don't know how much Mariner fans care who

(20:47):
cal Rawley's agent is. You know, is it a big
is it a big story? Is it a story that
Maryon fans are talking about.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (20:54):
But that's the whole point is that I think it's
it's it's our job to decipher if this is a
big deal or not, and if it's a big deal,
and the odds of re signing him to an extension
were I don't know. I'll just throw a number out there,
not that they were this number, but let's just say
fifty percent and now they're seventy five percent. I mean,
if that's the case, then that's significant, right, And I think, again,

(21:15):
how many agents can the average fan even name? Probably
not many, but the one guy that would get named
the most anderws of Scott Boris.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
So what does this mean for the Mariners?

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Well, I always the first thought I had was what
other reason would he be doing this other than he
wants to come back and he knows Scott Boris would
be a barrier for that happening.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
I don't know what the answer to that is.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Right, Well, here's the thing I think, And Steven Susan
will join us at six pm. And I don't want
to talk out of school here, I'm just throwing stuff
out there. I think that there sometimes is this perception
about Scott Borretz that he.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Not his clients, are in charge. You know what I'm saying, Yeah, that.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
He will decide where you play he will decide how
much you're gonna play for. And if he wants you
somewhere else, then he wants you somewhere else. Like you know,
Jimmy Sex, for example, represents Mike Norval, Steve Starksian, Dan Lanning.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Calen de boor Nick Saban blah blah blah.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
And if he wants Nick Saban to or excuse me,
Kaylen to bore to go to Alabama, and if he
wants to use that as a tool to get Steve
Starkesian and others a big fat raise, he's gonna do it.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
And if you work with a guy like that, you
have to agree to that.

Speaker 3 (22:19):
You have to agree to be uh to be the
puppet and let your agent be the puppet master. And
I'm wondering if cal Rawley just didn't want to go
down that road. Maybe he wants to play here, Maybe
he likes it here and he wants to retire here,
and Scott Boris Dick didn't.

Speaker 2 (22:35):
Want that to happen. I had no idea.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
Let's hope that's the case. I would just ask. I mean, yes,
Seattle's a great place to live. We've chosen to spend
our life here, raise our families here. We get that
whole side of why cal Rawley would want to be here.
But cal Rawley could also raise a family after he's
done with baseball. He's gonna be of course, of course,
you know he's not gonna be an old man. So
he could really play any any place and raise his
family in Seattle like many former Mariners have done. But

(23:00):
I would just honestly ask the question to cal Rawley,
why would you want to be a Mariner long term?
As an offensive player on this team in this park doing.

Speaker 3 (23:11):
Well, he's hitting the ball right, and as as Anders said,
I mean, look, I don't know what's important to him, dude,
right like we talk about stuff that. Well, maybe he
wants to be the greatest catcher of all time a
Mariner history, and he's got a chance. He's right, he's
got a chance to do that. If he hasn't done
that already, his manager would be number one. But I
think I think he's probably number one. I think a

(23:32):
lot of old school people like us might still say
Dan Wilson. But if you argued cal Rawley is the best,
and I'm not going to fight with you on that
at all, I have no idea what's important to him.
Right Maybe he's got a girlfriend here. I mean, does
he married?

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Do we know he is? Andrews? Is he married?

Speaker 6 (23:45):
I do not know?

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Okay, so maybe he's got maybe he's got multiple girlfriends here.
I had no idea what he's doing behind the scenes.
But I just think that in general terms, the idea
of a guy dumping an agent who has been known
as a serial pain in the ass of baseball teams,
and a guy that just last year, by the way,

(24:07):
remember at the All Star Game, talked to Chuck Powell
about how notoriously cheap the Mariners are, right, I think
getting that guy into the equation for me right now,
Dick is a positive for baseball fans.

Speaker 4 (24:20):
I think it's big.

Speaker 5 (24:21):
And you know, Kala has been the vocal leader on
this team, and he has not always been friendly towards
what the direction of this team. And I know that
you know he's got service reprimanded him for it. Maybe
who knows, maybe on behalf of the of the organization,
maybe on behalf of him.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
I know you hated that, and I hated that.

Speaker 5 (24:40):
I mean, I would love to see I would love
to see an era of Mariner baseball and maybe this
is one of the first, you know, signs of it
that we've got a little bit of stability. It just
doesn't like the Seahawks had so much stability for like
a decade, right, Every team wasn't great, but they just
had Sowid Schneider and Carol. You just kind of felt

(25:03):
as a Seahawk fan, you know, we got everything under control.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Man, we got the top five GM, we got the
top five coach, We got everything under control.

Speaker 5 (25:12):
Can we just finally we haven't had stability in this
baseball team for twenty five years. Can we finally have
a little stability with this baseball team? Maybe this is
the first. Maybe we'll find out that cal Raley three
months from now signs an extension, rips up arbitration, signs
a big extension with the Mariners, and maybe that's the

(25:32):
first step of maybe getting a little bit of stability
with this organization.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
Well, we got a clip that I want to play
coming up. I think we'll do it at five point
thirty after Hugh comes on. It's Jim Bowden or is
it Jim Bowden by the way, James Boden, Yeah, Boden,
thank you. I've heard it pronounced both ways. Bobby Bowden's
son Jim not really well join us, not us, but
he was on a Brett Boone on his podcast, I
think it was yesterday, and he had some pretty scathing

(25:57):
comments for Jerry Depoto and the Mariner front office. We'll
play that coming up for you Anders at five point thirty,
hew At five textimonials four nine four five one uw
Oregon next Saturday. What's your kind of initial take on that?
Seahawks is the is the home field advantage officially gone?
And does that play under your confidence level for Sunday's
game against the Cardinals. You got two sides in this town.

(26:19):
One side's pro Gino, one sides Ani Gino. Pick a
side because we're going to war over the offseason four nine,
four to five one.

Speaker 2 (26:27):
Get your thoughts in.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
We're at the San Juan Seltzei three nine oh one,
First Avenue South and Soto. All drinks, everything, all cocktails,
all drinks, fifty percent off between now and seven o'clock,
giveaway a trip to the ub Orgon game as well
at five forty five.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
