Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know what, who wants to talk about Saturday Night
in State College anyway? Well, which was a bigger debacle
in the last five minutes on the radio or Saturday Night.
Definitely Saturday Night for sure, because Saturday Night lasted about
three hours.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
This lasted about one hundred and twenty seconds.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Man, So holy moly, what a beatdown that was by
Penn State on Saturday Night. You know, I gotta tell you, man,
First of all, getting out there was an adventure. I've
never been to a sporting event. Well that's not necessarily true.
The USA Ghana game that I went to with our
old buddy Iver at the World Cup in two thousand
and South Africa. That was a trek to get there.
(00:34):
And I'm not even talking about from here to South Africa.
I mean from like Pretoria to Rustenberg.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
As long as that, it.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Felt like it was about four hours just sitting in traffic.
I think it's like ten miles away, but the traffic
made it seem a lot longer. But outside of that,
this was definitely a planes, trains, and automobiles type situation.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
On Thursday, we flew into Pittsburgh.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
We stayed overnight in Pittsburgh, met some friends, had some breakfast,
drove in, took about two and a half hours to
get there. Uh, hung out a little bit obviously, did
the show on Friday, saw the game Sunday morning, got
back to the hotel about one o'clock in the morning,
and we're thinking, you know what, let's go get some food.
But imagine the AV outside U dub Obviously they have
(01:17):
an AV like that, but it's on steroids. It's about
five hundred times bigger than our AV and they got
about eighty thousand students on campus. It needs to be
because there's no other place to doing exactly. But all
the bars were packed. You know, we're thinking, ah, five guys, eh,
you know canes chicken sandwiches. Ah, that's not gonna happen.
So I ended up having the Meal of Champions. Guys,
you'd be happy in my hotel room on Saturday night
(01:39):
at the Hampton End courtesyavenue, Kings dot Com, Uh, pop Tarts,
a race, Krispytreat and Chef Boyardi spaghetti and me blessed, like, well,
it's just like when you were twenty one years old.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
That's huge, all right.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
So if there's a little gassie kind of flavor coming
out of men. MA, know, you might want to move
over a couple of feet, but that's what we did,
and then drove to Harrisburg. Took about ninety minutes to
get there. And then I check in the AVAS car,
which has since been rectified, and I put this on Twitter.
You guys are what I'm talking about. I bring the
car back and they send me an email with my
(02:12):
receipt and it's for forty two hundred dollars.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
I'm like, what the hell? Placing and happy Valley man,
it's off.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
The dude, did you send Did you send me somebody's
like private plane bill for the weekend?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Like what?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Then apparently yes, Well, thankfully, my pal Lester, who's a
fan of the show and works for AVAS, actually saw
the tweet and was able to take care of everything.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
They get it all figured out.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
But you know me, man, I see a bill for
forty two hundred bucks and I start to kind of
panic a little bit. I mean, Jackson, didn't you have
some like health thing like two years ago, paid like
five thousand bucks or whatever. So it's never fun to
have that. But thanks to the folks at AVIS for
forgetting that straightened out, all right, I have stalled as
long as I can before we talk about the game
on set. Okay, that was as dominant a game as
(02:59):
playing against the Huskies is they've had all year long.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Of course, there's no question about question.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
And maybe likely since the Jimmy Lake year in twenty
twenty one, because nothing like that happened against Kailen Debor.
Obviously they lost to ASU and UCLA in Michigan. I
get all that, but Washington in this game, let's face it, guys,
they just got destroyed by Penn State four hundred and
eighty six yards to one ninety three. Penn State, I believe,
(03:24):
was nine for nine on third down in the first
half of that game alone. Whatever Penn State wanted to
do in the first half of that game, and they
were doing. And the only reason why the Huskies got
on the board in the second half is because their
best player, Tyler Warren, fumbled the ball. So I guess
you know, I'd like to sit here and say that
I'm not surprised that Washington got hammered the way they
(03:45):
did on Saturday night. I am a little bit surprised
that it was that one sided on Saturday deck.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yeah, I mean, it was the easiest loss for the
Huskies for me to digest in a long long time,
because you know, sometimes you go into situations and I
you know, in our meeting to I talked about Baylor
going into Spokane Arena last week against Gonzaga. Baylor's a
good team. I think the Huskies are a good team.
There are certain situations you go into and you know
(04:12):
within five minutes this ain't gonna be the day man,
And you knew in that game after the Huskies marched
down the field impressively once again stalled in the red
zone and bonked the field goal, And then you knew
that when Daddeus Dixon was yanked out of the game
due to a targeting call and they ended up scoring
(04:33):
a touchdown in that game, you were like, all right,
they better do something on this next drive or else
this is gonna get out of hand.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
You just knew it beyond the shadow. You could just
feel it.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
I don't know if you could feel it at the stadium,
but we could feel it watching on TV that this
game was gonna get.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Completely out of hand early. And that's exactly what happened.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
Well, no question, I mean, I'll take issue with something
that you just said there though, and Jackson, I want
to get your thoughts on this. Guys can shine into
at four nine, four or five one. And I know
where you're coming from because you've been hammering this, this, this,
this point now for a couple of weeks. I don't
think the Huskies are a good team. I think they're
they're they're they are the epitome of a mediocre mediocre team. Well,
but there's a difference, right well, I mean think well,
(05:15):
I mean, they're not a very good They're not a great,
They're just I think any team that makes a bowl
game at least can be considered a good football team.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
I mean you can go you can go you know,
four and six or three and six in your conference,
and you can make a bowl game by scheduling three cupcakes.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
I just think the Huskies have a lot of work
to do.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Matter, Yes, they have a lot of work to do,
and I think right now they they are the epitome
of a mediocre football team, really on both sides of
the ball, because let's face facts, I mean they they
started in that first quarter. I think they gave the
ball to Jonah Coleman eight or nine times in the
first quarter of that game, just like they did against Indiana,
and they were just going nowhere. I mean, they just
could not gain any traction on the ground whatsoever. Their
(05:57):
defense that used to be so good now getting shoved around.
I mean, they got slaughtered on the ground by this
football team.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
And I actually believe that.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
I brought this up today with Jed Fish and I
asked him about it, and he kind of gave it
a little kind of sarcastic kind of laugh, and maybe
he wanted to go down that road, and maybe he didn't.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
In the end. He said, Hey, I'm not gonna worry
about what other coaches do.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
But James Franklin to me kind of clowned us on Saturday.
And you had that last big run by Smith down
the sideline that put them in position to score even more.
I mean, they got ten seconds to go in the game,
they're up twenty nine, and they're running plays to try
to get a forty burger on us, and I mean,
thank god we were able to stop and keephim out
of the end zone.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
But I just think that this is we are kind
of back.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
In a lot of ways to where we were before
Caitlin Demoor showed up with the offensive and defensive lines right,
and that we don't have anybody worth talking about, nobody
on the offensive and defensive line.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
And I expect that to change next year, Dick. I
think all of us do.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
When three or four guys will come back as starters,
they hit the portal, they do this, they do that,
but they are just getting owned. They're getting absolutely owned
on the line of scrimmage. And that is the number
one reason still to me today why the Husky offense
was able to do last year what they.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Were able to do.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Because you can take all the great quarterbacks and all
the great receivers you want, but if your offensive line
stinks and that guy has no time to throw the ball,
forget about it. I mean, you had a great combination
of an incredibly accurate passer with a freaking cannon for
an arm in Michael Pennix, three NFL quality wide receivers,
a a above average at minimum running back in Dylan Johnson.
(07:32):
But then you had the best offensive line in school history.
And I'm watching this offensive line on Saturday night, Dick,
just get overrun. I mean, even when Demon Williams came
in the game. I mean, my god, Mario made this
point in the postgame show. How many times did we
think that demon Williams was just gonna get killed by somebody,
just a free runner coming in and taking a shot
at number two in that game on Saturday. And I'll
tell you what else about that kid. He's a tough
(07:53):
son of a bitch. That guy, he is tough as
nails number two.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
And we saw it.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
We saw that against You see when Sam Green, the
linebacker who's by the way, about sixty pounds heavier than
he is, just unloaded on him and he just pops
right back up like there was no problem whatsoever. Without
demand Williams being able to evade pressure and slip away
from tackles, a lesser quarterback would have been killed in that.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Game on Saturday night. And some of that's on coaching.
Speaker 1 (08:21):
I mean, Milan made the point this morning at about
all the free runners. They've got to find a way
to protect these guys. Because the guy comes in and
he was sacked three times in the box score, it
could have been five or six times.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Dick easily.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
No, absolutely, What I just mean is that every very
good team. I think Penn State's a very good team.
I don't think they're an elite team, but I think
they're a very good team. Every very good team is
going to have that one game where it all clicks,
the vibe is there. Usually it's a home game because
Penn State. I mean, this is a team that was
down two touchdowns to USC in one in overtime. This
is a team that lost to Ohio State this week.
(08:52):
Last week, this is a team that only beat Illinois
and UCLA by a couple of scores when they were
both one score games in the fourth quarter. This is
a team that beat Bowling Green by seven points. They
are a very good team that just put it all together.
And you saw it from the absolute get go now
saying that I have got no worries going forward in
(09:12):
the Big Ten at quarterback, at wide receiver, at running back,
at any of the skill positions secondary. But yes, there
are ten positions.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
There are the.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Five on the line, maybe you throw tight end with that.
There are the four defensive front guys.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
Those are the positions that you absolutely have to not
just get a little bit better, you have to get
a lot better. If you seriously want to consider yourself
one of the four or five best teams in the
Big Ten, no question, And that is where Jed Fish
has got to get to work in the offseason. I mean,
Penn State had five sacks and they had nine tackles
for loss in the game on Saturday, UW had zero
(09:48):
sacks and zero tackles for loss. Now, sacks counts TFLs
in college football, so that means they had four extra
tackles for loss. That means nine times nine. If you
find my job, I would use game teams. In this
game on Saturday, Penn State made a play in the backfield,
and they had probably five or six, if not seven
or eight more opportunities to make a play in the backfield.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Yes nine. I mean it was just they had no
shot in this game. None.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
And look, we're gonna hear from Will Rodgers at four
twenty eight today courtesy of Matlake Futures. We'll get Will's
thoughts on getting yanked for for the freshman at halftime.
I had no problem with it, but I think the
conversation now is gonna be And you put us on
Twitter today who gives them the better chance to win
against Ucla on Saturday? And guys, Ucla, all of a
(10:38):
sudden thinks they can be a ball team. Ucla has
won three in a row. They're four and five. They
got U dubbed, they got USC, and they got Fresno.
You can bet your ass that Deshaun Foster is telling
those guys down there, Hey, we could go from one
to five to maybe making a bowl game if we
can just beat two of these three teams. And two
of them aren't playing that well right now in USC
(10:59):
and U Dubbe.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
I have no idea what Fresno is doing.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
I should look that up, but this is not gonna
be a cake walk on Friday at all. They're righting
the ball, they're stopping the run. U Dubbs banged up.
I mean, Carson Brunner is playing his balls off out there,
but he's not totally healthy. I saw him before the
game going through warm ups and he had a shirt off.
He's got a big, fat, giant rap on his left
shoulder before that game, so he's not back to one
hundred percent either. But look, whether it's a bowl game
(11:24):
this year or not, I'll be totally honest with you,
I'd like.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
To go to a ball I think it'd be good
for the team to go to a ball.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
You know.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Jed Fish mentioned this to me off the air, that
it's fifteen extra practices for Mohamed, fifteen for Denzel, fifteen
for Demon Williams. I'm not gonna lose when he sleep
though a few dubb doesn't go to a ball game.
I want these guys to hit the road and hit
the portal and start bringing in some beef tonight.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
I just think it would be disappointing if you were
to be four and two after a win over Michigan, right,
and then you end up going loss loss win, loss, loss, loss.
I mean that would just.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Yeah, but what did we say about Michigan, No, Dick,
what did we say?
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Well, I'm just saying that, like, you're four and two
and you get a win over Michigan like that, and
then you don't make a bowl game because you can't
win two more games. I think that I think that
would be just I mean, we can disagree on how
disappointing that would be. I think it will be very
disappointing for this team to go five and seven. They
should not go five and seven, and I honestly, the
Huskies are in a much better shot, in my opinion,
(12:19):
to take care of business this week because of what happened.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I think you're right about that. I think you're right
about that. My point is this, and I don't expect
anyone to agree or disagree. I mean we just you know,
think whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
I don't care.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
I'm way more focused on next year than I am
anything happening this year. And I gotta be totally honest
with you. I wonder if jet Fish almost feels the
same way, because I have never heard a coach ever
talk more about your offseason and the future.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Well, look, we played in the second half.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
He was playing a freshman every year, George Washington in
their running back.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
He was playing his twenty twenty five offense. It was amazing.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
And look, I think for that game, I think a
lot of coaches maybe would have done that for that
game because you're down twenty eight to nothing. I actually
asked Jed, you know again off the ear for the
interview later this week, how much of what you did
at halftime was just to try and win the game
that night versus put the team in the best position
for success down the road. And he admitted, ay, it's
a little bit of both, you know. He said, if
(13:16):
we were down ten nothing, fourteen nothing. Maybe they would
have stuck with will but the game was unwinnable at
that point, down twenty eight, and so they said, the
hell with it, let's get Let's give the kid a
shot and see what he can do. And maybe in
the next year, when he has to play in a
crazy environment, he can go back and bank on the
snaps he got against Penn State.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
But I've just never heard a coach and I'm not
saying he's wrong to do it either.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
By the way, guys, I've never heard a coach talk
more about the offseason and the portal and recruiting and
where guys will be in a year from now. You
should have seen, and we're gonna play this clip for
you later on the day. You should have seen the
look on his face when he started talking about Demon
Williams next year and Demon Williams for the.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Next three years.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
I swear to god, the guy was getting roused talking
about Demon Williams.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Well the kids. He had the right, but he had.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
To smile on his face, like, hey, we got a
game Friday, then we got the Orgon game in two
and a half weeks, and he's just blowing past all
that and talking about the offseason.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
So but if the AUSI.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Isn't going to be helped, if we end up winning
that game against UCLA, s we the extra practice.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
It will be.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
And look, I'm not saying it's a nothing burger at all.
I'm just saying that as a Husky fan. And I'm
curious if people agree with this or not. Eighty percent
of my focus on this football team is looking ahead
to next season. Right, they make a bowl game, great,
they don't make a bowl game, Okay, whatever, because in
the end, and I don't know if you guys agree
with this or not, I think recruiting has totally changed now.
(14:42):
It used to be hey, if you're good, you got
a better chance of getting good players.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Yep. Now it's about money. Now it's about who's paying.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Right, So does if the Huskies have their eye on
four or five offensive lineman for example in the portal,
do any of them really give a damn if the
Husky's playing the Mayonnaise Bowl.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
No, they don't the Duke's Mail Bowl. Exactly. They don't care.
They just don't care.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
It's all about the cold, hard cash and how much
money this program can come up with.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
So it's just totally different. Man.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
It's a completely different annimal now that it used to
be even a couple of years ago.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
I think for the younger guys getting the.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Extra practices great, But I've often said, are we gonna
get to like some game in November and the Huskies are,
you know, six and three or whatever their record is,
And you look at me and go, Dave, the reason
why we're here is because they got the extra two
weeks in December.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
I just don't think that's gonna be the castad.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
The Huskies will turn around if they hit the portal
and hit the recruiting trail and start to build an
offensive line, and we're not going anywhere.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
You're exactly right.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
We are not going anywhere until that front five on
offense and the front four and front seven on defense
gets fixed at all.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
I'm telling you, I'm I'm shocked that this game the
spreads under a touchdown. I think I think we jump
on it before anybody else jumps on it. I think
it's Dogs by ten plus.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Yeah, in this game on Friday.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
Night, probably you know, and look, I hope you're right.
I mean, UCLA is playing for a lot, and I
just don't know what.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
You don't think they're very good? Well, they're not very good,
but neither are we.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Well, yeah, but we have beaten every medium to not
very good team we've faced, like for an eternity at
that stadium. Yeah, well, I mean, I guess you want
to be smart about it. That's going to come to
an end at some point. But the Huskies ain't gonna
come against you go for twenty straight right on Saturday
night or on Friday against UCLA. So we'll get some
of your thoughts on the text line. Talk more about
this coming up. Who does give them the better chance
(16:33):
to win Friday. I think that's the question that everybody's
got in their mind right now. Will Rodgers or DeMont Williams.
The Hawks just got rid of their best tackler on defense.
How about that? Is that a good side or a
bad side for the future of the team. We're at
the Emra Quick Casino Sportsbook hanging out until five fifteen
before kickoff of the Rams and Dolphins tonight right here
on ninety three three KJRFF.
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Now back to Frost Brewed cors Light Junes to jill
Mondays with Suffie on your home for the twelfth man
in the NFL Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
R F M.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
All right, we got factor fiction coming up in about
four minutes. Uh four and one week for US. Uh.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Georgia sucks now, so we didn't get the old stop
got the under in the U Penn State game, though,
squeaked out Penn State made a stop. You dub made
a stop in the late goings of the fourth quarter
and gave us the under. Uh in the Penn State game.
I am now six and eleven on the air. Jackson
is three and five on the year, and you are
seven and now updated yet oh they haven't you're nine
(17:36):
and nine Jackson.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Did you win this week? Four and five? And I'd
be seven and twelve on the air? Come on, anchor, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
What the hell, man, let's get things going. Did I
see that? Ian f and s wenth four this week?
Speaker 5 (17:49):
That show went on a one and four.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
They went one ingo him. Let me look at that.
What did just do? I'm looking it up right now.
Yet just won and lost three?
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Yeah, went three for you, just one by picking against
her jets unbelievable, which is a smart thing to do.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Factor fiction coming up in a few minutes So where
do we start. We get to the Hawks coming up
at four o'clock today, Demon Williams versus Will Rogers. Jet
Fish has already announced that Will Rogers will start the
game on Friday versus UCLA. Said he's earned it. He's
five and zero at home. It gives them the best
chance to win. He's a great leader. All that is
he Jackson making the right call by starting Will and
(18:29):
not Demon Friday.
Speaker 5 (18:30):
No, I think you gotta go Demond. His The reality
is he is the future. And whether you make a
bowl game or not, I like the answer. The question
basically is who gives you the best shot? And how
much do you care about a bowl game? You know,
in terms of this UCLA game. But if you're already
I mean you guys said it last segment, if you're
already looking this far ahead, talking so much about the offseason,
(18:50):
talking so much about Demon next year, all of these words,
and just I mean you saw it in persons Offie.
I was just watching on the YouTube stream his fee
lit up talking about Williams. I've never seen his face
like contorts to that big of a smile before for Jets,
like she knows something.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
That we don't know exactly.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
So let's just see it already. Let's just get to
the next era of Husky football.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
I want to get there. Yeah, I can see that.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
I mean, I made the comment three weeks ago that Hugh,
you know, disagreed with I think softy disagree. I just said,
I don't see a lot of difference between the win
equity you get from Will Rogers and the wing equity
you get from Demon Williams.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
And Will was like, all, are you crazy? I mean,
Will Will Rodgers gives you a lot better chance to win.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
I I'm just I'm gonna stick to my guns and
what I said three weeks ago. Yeah, I mean, I
think Demon Williams gives you every bit as good a
chance to win. Now, having said that, a game like this,
I want stability.
Speaker 3 (19:44):
I want the veteran quarterback. I want to get in
and out against a team you should beat. You go in,
you take care of business, thirty to twenty.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Done.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
Deal.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Then after that, you know he's gonna start against Oregon.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
You got it.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
You don't want to throw the freshman to the Wolves
against Oregon. And then we'll see see what happens in
the in the bowl game. I mean, I can understand
Jackson's take, and I don't really think there's a wrong
answer to this question because I think there's valid points
on both sides. But I asked the would you like
an update on the poll because I that I throw
that poll out today. When quarterback gives you the best
(20:15):
chance for ball eligibility on Friday, Rogers hang on sixty
three thirty seven.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Rodgers, Yeah, I'm not surprised. So still a lot of
people want the vests.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
I am surprised, but by that I mean I would
just say, as far as who gives you the better
chance to win?
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Who's better than that?
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Look, here's the thing for me, And I said this
on Twitter on Saturday. I thought bringing Demon Williams in
when Jed Fish brought him in was actually a perfect
situation for nothing. And it's twenty eight to nothing, guys,
there was no pressure at all. It's totally different starting
a game versus coming in when it's twenty eight to
zip and all you're trying to do is just survive
(20:52):
and make plays with your legs if you have to.
So the answer who gives them a better chance to win?
I don't know because I still feel like, hey, Deman
william got sacked three times in the second half of
that game. And unless they're willing to just let Demon
Williams play street ball and just have him run all
over the field if you want to get any semblance
of a passing game going whatsoever. He hasn't proven he
(21:13):
can do that either, But I don't think anybody would
be able to prove it behind this offensive line, the
way they were playing and the way those guys were
allowing free runners on Saturday at Penn State. So I
totally get Jackson your point as well about just, you
know what, who cares what happens Friday? Who cares what
happens in two weeks at Austin. I know I say
that now, and I'll change my mind in ten days
(21:33):
from now. I want to see the future, and the
future no question is number two and the coach.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
As much as I love Jed Fish and what he's
doing off the field, the coach isn't helping that because
the coach is the one that's leading the charge for
how great this guy's going to be next year? Right, Yes,
he's the one that's getting everybody you know drooling and
frothing at the mouth for Number two next season. So
for guys like Jackson that want to see the future
of Husky football, the head coach is the one that's
(22:01):
fanning those flames and right now exactly.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
And he's got a reason to be. I see Kyler Murray.
That's who I see when I watch Number two play.
I see Kyler Murray And go back and look at
Kyler Murray's numbers, and he was a freshman.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
They aren't as good as Demon Williams.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
I'm not saying Demon Williams is going to win the
Heisman by the time.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
He's a junior like Tyler Murray is.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
But I think he's fabulous Devon Williams hype. I think
he's fabulous driving the train. But but he's got to
be able. He's gotta be able to be a pocket
quarterback as right. But that's right, he's eighteen.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
He's trinking down Mark it down three thirty six.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
The first time Dick Fane mentioned the words Heisman, Trophy
and Devon Williams. And if he stakes next year, nobody
will will remind him of this at all.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Nobody. All right, factor fiction, right now, where's that to go?
Speaker 7 (22:48):
Glad you're with us, it's your shot at our weekly
thousand bucks and the ten thousand dollars grand prize. It's
fact door Fiction, brought to you by the Emerald Queen,
Casino betting capital of the Northwest. Make the beautiful new
weequc Sports Mooky your home all football season long. Fact
or Fiction is on Sports Radio ninety three point three
(23:11):
kJ R.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
So, I guess here's the question about factor fiction. So
we're coming down to it, and we are playing from
way behind right correct, guys on, we're like nine or
ten wins behind right now, so we're we're always away.
I'm pretty sure a repeat championship has been lost.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Are we playing for wins right now? Are we just
playing to have some fun here on the air?
Speaker 6 (23:34):
Like?
Speaker 2 (23:34):
What do we do? I think? Can we? Can we
have a little of both? Can can we? I mean?
Speaker 1 (23:38):
I want to play to win, It's either one or
the other. I want to play to win. But what, like,
what are you talking about? I'm talking about closing my
eyes and pointing my fer game.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
No, no, Jackson way, you.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Know I'm all for fun. If see if you can
close your eyes and pointed a game and also feel like, oh,
you know what.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
I like this, Do it all right? I'm porting a
game right now.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
What do I have you ul Louisiana Monroe plus the
points at Auburn, jez is our pet geez Louised Monroe
plus the twenty four and a half at Auburn, and
they may cover that. By the way, watch him cover.
I'm telling you, if Louisiana Monroe wins, I'm gonna text
both you bastards. Louisiana Monroe plus the twenty four and
(24:19):
a half at Auburn is the play. I like Louisiana Monroe.
I love their coach. I have no idea who he
is or what kind of offense they run. The quarterback's
been great. I've been following him since junior high and
I have no idea who he is or what if
he's a left to or alrighty, we're gonna go with
Louisiana Monroe plus the points at Auburn this Saturday.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Factor fiction to four nine four five one. Let's go.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
I'm sorry, Dick, I didn't I didn't want it to
be like that.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I just I mean, it's not Yeah, I'm thinking that,
like there's there's been a few obviously There's been a
few years that I've coached that haven't gone well in
the past.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Right, And if.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
I had a kid that just decided, you know what,
we're ten and fifteen, we're out of the playoffs, I'm
just gonna freaking jack every time I crossed the mid
court because I don't care.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Yeah, he'd be on it.
Speaker 3 (25:04):
He'd be sitting right next to me the rest of
every single game.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
You're that kid, good thing. You're not my coaching. You're
that not a kid.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
Did what did de Mont Williams strike and do in
the second half on Saturday? Came in and just ran
the crap out of the ball and the biggest play
was on the ground. Man, he looked good running the football.
He looked like Michael, like the spawn of Michael Vick
out there on Saturday. So Louisiana Monroe plus the twenty
four and a half at Auburn fact. If you agree fiction,
if you disagree. People are texting in right now, going what.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Do I do? I have no idea what to do?
That's our play. I don't think I mean sent our
play somewhere.
Speaker 5 (25:39):
Kevin Shockey right now is having like a hemorrhage in
his brain. He's so angry with any like Ramdom Games
that we don't know anything about.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Well, he deserves to have a hemorrhage. Man, are you
kidding me? We made that guy.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
He's running a radio station in Denver making a gajillion
dollars a week.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
We made that son of a bitch. He could just
row all right.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Louisiana Monroe plus the twenty four and a half at
Auburn is the play Factor fiction brought to by the
Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Pacific Northwest.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
We're gonna break a little fun with audio. Coming up.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
We're gonna hear from Jetfish and Mike McDonald between now
and five point fifteen on ninety three three KJRFM.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
It's now time for Sunday in Dick's Fun with Audio.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Jimmy g pawn Star, Jimmy mister Garoppolo.
Speaker 4 (26:23):
Now let's have some fun with audio.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
All right.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
We're back here at the amro Quick Casino Sportsbook, hanging
out all night long for the Dolphins and Rams coming
up in five point fifteen tonight. We're gonna hear from
Jetfish and Mike McDonald coming up in the four pm hour, well,
Rogers un up starting quarterback. We'll join us at four
point thirty after a tough day at Penn's day for everybody.
But let's get to it little fun with audio. Hey, Dick,
(26:48):
did you happen to hear that one?
Speaker 2 (26:49):
What's a what's that? Dick?
Speaker 1 (26:51):
We start with Saints Syndram head coach Darren Rizzy picking
up his first win as a coach yesterday is the
Saints beat the Falcons twenty to seventeen. After the game,
walk reporters through what happened during his difficult morning.
Speaker 8 (27:04):
No, man, I'm a pretty open guy. So this is
how my day started. I got I get down here
to the stadium, get down here, super down my goat
and the head coaches locker room, which you know I've
never used before. So here I am early in the morning.
I go to the bathroom and this a my day started.
I clogged the toilet and I'm a happy day pun intended.
And so we listened. I'm like, Okay, this is not
(27:25):
really a great start to the day. Here we go
and so yeah, I'm not really feeling like a head
coach of an NFL team right now. So uh so
I'm like, really, this is really how we're gonna start
my day. So but but listen, there is moments starting
the game. You know, I'm so wrapped up in the uh,
in my routine. Uh, there's moments today where like, I'm
(27:46):
I'm almost forgetting I'm just going through my routine, and
I'm and I'm kind of forgetting that that I'm that
I'm the head coach.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
A couple of times.
Speaker 8 (27:53):
All true, I.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Think you forgot he was the head coach right there?
Yeah about taking a dump and clogging up the toilet.
I mean, we don't need to know.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Everything, coach, We really don't. Did you watch him on
the sidelines? No, I didn't. A lunatic is here here?
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
So he's got no shot of keeping the job full time?
Is that what you're saying.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
I'm not saying that.
Speaker 3 (28:12):
I just like, if that's what they're looking for in
a head coach, which I guess, anything's better than Dennis Allen,
Oh god.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
In his defense, in his defense, Derek Carr got hurt
and the whole thing with the hell on a handbucket, man,
But yeah, I mean he was he was kind of
a turn and no question about that. So now we
know that Darren Rizzy clogged up the toilet before the game.
I mean, I I don't know what I would do
if I didn't have that information here. I want to
know what you guys do. All right, let's go round
the room and talk about our our bathroom habits.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Don't go ahead, No, I'm kidding. When when it gets out?
Speaker 4 (28:43):
When I.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Kidding?
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Jesus man, pill it full of water? Come on, that's
a family show. Hey, just wait for it.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Happened to hear that you asked the questions. I'm just
moving on.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Uh. This morning on ESPN one thousand inch, Caigo Bart's
head coach Matt Eberfluss joining David Kaplan and Jay Hood
for an interview. Iberflus's cell phone cut out twice that
broke up a third time as Kaplan was pressing him
about the team's continued offensive problems.
Speaker 6 (29:14):
Coach, I asked you this last week that are you
in crisis? And you said nowhere not. If this isn't crisis,
I don't know what it is. So I'll ask you again,
is this a crisis that's.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Going on right now in hallis hall?
Speaker 6 (29:29):
And how does it get addressed?
Speaker 1 (29:31):
You know, we're looking at this week and this week
only we do have evidence on tape that we played
good football during the.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
Course of this year.
Speaker 8 (29:39):
We got to pull up experiences.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
Coach, coach, your cell phones as bad as the offense.
Right now, all right, we put them on hold and
see if we can re.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Establish a Come on, man, this is twenty twenty four.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
Can we get a freaking land line?
Speaker 4 (30:01):
What are we doing?
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Get the man a phone that works? Please? Oh, you
know I agree with them. Thousand percent drives me nuts,
used to drive Mitch nuts back.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
And then landline in twenty twenty four, when there's fewer
landlines than there's ever been in the history of telephones.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Get one in your office. You can always get one.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
I mean people don't have them, there's no question about that,
but they're still very much available. I mean, everybody in
every office has a landline. I think we have them
in our building, don't we Do we have landlines in
our buildingmore there's no phone Jackson there. Okay, well, unless
they've redone the Bears offices like they redid the iHeart
Seattle offices. Get the guy a freaking phone line. I
(30:40):
mean it sounds terrible. We're get them in a place
where you know the phone's gonna work. End of story.
I mean, it's it's it's just for me being in
this business, it drives me bananas. I almost said something worse,
by the way, but look what's happening at Chicago right
now is simple.
Speaker 2 (30:54):
They got talent, they got no coaches. End of story. Zero.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
We all saw this coming with Shane Waldron. Those guys didn't.
And look where I mean it's.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
It was probably the most predictable.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
I didn't think it was going to be this bad
because I at least thought Caleb Williams would somewhat be
able to rise above it, which he did for a
little bit of.
Speaker 3 (31:12):
A month and a half, right, and then it's just
all come crashing down. Although I think they're getting too
many points against Green.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Baby, Which one you want? Next? Three? All right? Hey, Dick,
did you happen to hear that? What's that? Dick?
Speaker 1 (31:27):
The Jaguars lost twelve seven to Minnesota yesterday thanks in
part to a late game Mac Jones interception. After the loss,
Jacksonville head coach Doug Peterson was asked about Jones's critical interception.
Speaker 5 (31:39):
What was the play?
Speaker 2 (31:40):
What was supposed to happen?
Speaker 1 (31:42):
On the final Mac interception if he didn't get hit
and throw the pick.
Speaker 7 (31:47):
Yeah, I'm not going to go through the details of
the play because you guys wouldn't figure it out.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
But we're gonna look at the tape tomorrow and we'll
make those corrections.
Speaker 2 (31:55):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
So just you guys are too stupid here, one oh one.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
If I be advising, if I'm advising.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Coach Peters, oh, he's a dead man, I'd be like, coach, Yeah,
you are as apt to be fired as any other
person in the NFL right now.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
You might want to treat the media a little bit better,
so they might might give you some shred of the
benefit of doubt. Instead, he just made sure they all said, okay,
get this guy out of here.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
Well, the media, even if they did support him, is
not gonna matter with the owner. I would think it
would not, And if they do, the guy's a bigger
putt shad con than I thought he was. And then,
second of all, I think Doug Peterson knows he's out.
He's out, he's a dead man walking, he's done. He
knows he's done, doesn't give a dam.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
Once aga another job. So you might hear more of
this coming down the road.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Plus he's kind of salty anyway, A little bit that
might be just the way he is. But I don't know, man,
I mean, they're just so bad, and Trevor Lawrence is
so bad, and Doug Peterson is so bad. Does it
really matter when it's all said and done. Why not
give people a little SoundBite as a little gift on
the way out? What the hell, Jackson? We got time
for one more and we gonna go. All right, we're
gonna break. Let's hear from Jetfish. Let's hear a little
(33:08):
bit from Jetfish. Mike McDonald as well, coming up as
we continue from the Emerald Quick Casino Sportsbook right here
on a Monday of ninety three, three KJRFM
