Rex Hoggard and GC there on Twitter, ladies and gentlemen. He joins us
from San Diago, where the Marinersdispatched to the San Diego Padres last night
by a score of four to one, an arousing game of baseball, terrific
pitching from Logan Gibbea and timely hittingfrom Taosca Hernandez, Gulio Rodriguez and Andres

(00:24):
Unos. Joining us from the beachis bride at him. Hello, Bradley,
did you kind of morph into alike a British golf accent? What
was that? I sure did?I sure did. Good. Hey,
I'm glad you're talking to somebody withthe Golf channel because this this deal is
a complete joke. I can't waitfor you to break this thing down for

(00:46):
everybody. Well, we spent thefirst hour on it. I mean it's
just whatever. I mean, yeah, what a joke all of it is?
He speaking of golf, how'd youhow'd you like that driving range at
Tory Pines? Huh? I hadto ask. I said, is this
what they use for the Farmers Tournamentevery year? And they said yeah,

(01:07):
obviously they moved to grass and theytry to spruce it up a little bit.
But they said, like when theyhad the Open here, they'll close
the North course and use a coupleof holes on the North as the driving
range. So for the US Open, it's more legit. But you're right,
man, I mean, Jackson Jefferson, that would shockingly. What did

(01:30):
I spend? I don't think Igot it, because, like you said,
it's one fee for the golf, then you go over there and get
the balls and carts another fee, like did you do it? Did you
know that? Jim, Jim?So you pay two different fees there.
It's the hilarious. There's two differentcounters that when you go in there,
you pay the city of San Diegoand then you pay san Diego County.

(01:53):
If you lie and say you're fromSan Diego, though, do they ask
for ID to check you? Yeah, okay, yeah, because it is
of such a deal. It's likeseventy five bucks for San Diego residence.
I think it's even cheaper than that. I think it's even cheaper than the
North. Now the North is cheaper. It's like sixty five for North,
seventy five for South. Mark.I got my money's worth. Hitting out

(02:15):
of the sand guys kind of likeyou puck, I hit eight sand traps
eight. I'm like, are yougetting me? There's two There's two bunkers
on each side of every fairway. There's like four bunkers around every green.
I thought I hit the ball prettywell, but I was just terrible.
Couldn't score to save them. Ohwhat fun? I shot over eighty,

(02:42):
Jim, I'm just gonna say that, Okay, And what famous people did
you play with? Um, well, we're all kind of clause I famous.
Uh, Matt Brash was the winner. He shot seventy seven. No
one else broke eighty. Yeah, the festa was a little higher. And
then I'm then we at our pitchingcoach Pete Woodworth joined us, So yeah,

(03:05):
yeah it was, Um, itwas windy, you know it was.
It was really cool to play becauseI loved playing courses where you watched
the pros place you kind of knowholes already and then you go back and
you watch the pros play it andnotice how different. But but it's cool
too to see where they played fromlike we were, you know, three
teas up from where they were. It's just ridiculous. How good and how

(03:29):
far are they hit? Did youdid you do the putt? On eighteen.
Did you do Tiger's pot? Oh? No, I did not.
I didn't even think about that.I'm so happy to be done. I
just wanted to leave. But itwas good. You guys had We had
fun, and I look forward todoing it next year. All right,
So, Brad, I think Ithink I think you might have sworn on

(03:50):
radio. Have you ever sworn onTV before? I apologize? Yeah?
Sorry, no, never, never, not single time. I have not
slipped up. No, I've beenvery fortunate. But now, of course
I'm good be thinking about that today. Get it now, I'm trying to
I have not. No, I'mnot slipped up. So let's keep that

(04:13):
going. Yeah, you know whatyou're You're right about Taoscar and Puck was
talking about him too. How likablehe is. I saw your interview after
the game. I mean two hits, he had the RBI single, the
big home run that put him infront two to one. A likable guy,
and he's and he's hot all ofa sudden. Yeah, he's he's
a great guy. He and Ginolike smiles all day. You know,
it's up purea vita, that's purelife. They lead right, good vibes

(04:36):
only and He's been that way sinceday one, and I give him a
lot of credit. You know, being a veteran guy I think helps with
that attitude. I mean his Aprilwas not good. Early May, it
was not good. You guys sawit. I think he even said last
night that he leads a league instrikeouts. You know, he's not proud
of that. But he never gotdown. He kept working and kept smiling,

(04:57):
and you know, things starting toturn a little bit. Guys with
you know, track records, who'vebeen there before, done it in an
All Star before, you figure they'regoing to turn things around. And he's
certainly doing that. And it's goodto see, not just for him,
but for this offense. As we'veseen the last couple of series, the
offense has just not been producing. It has not been pretty at all these

(05:20):
last couple of series. So forhim to do that, but then to
score four, which seems to bekind of the magic number. They have
really good records when they score atleast four, and to see the pitching
come back, to see Moonio's comeback, you know, that was a
good sign for them trying to finishup this trip here. And then also
three with the Angels what did whatdid you The overall game we talked about

(05:42):
in the in the first hour justfelt like their most complete game of the
season and very reminiscent here of howthey played last year. The home runs
still sprinkled in with some strikeouts. They're starting, pitching is lockdown with Logan
Gilbert, especially that final aiming forhim in the seventh and then moon Yo's
in the bullpen coming through. Whatwas the reaction from the players and maybe

(06:02):
even Scott's service. Did they feelthat that was maybe their best and most
complete game of the season. Absolutely, it was a very Mariner type win,
and Skipper said that it was goodto get back to doing you know
what they do well, which exactlyis that good pitching which we saw.
He said, it's just, youknow what a luxury to have Munnos and

(06:24):
Seawall to go eight and nine,Gilbert does his thing, and then you
know, you wait around for acouple of big hits, and they didn't
get a lot of hits, butthey got two home runs and that was
enough and a very kind of youknow again, how they're built. Like
we talked about low scoring games andwinning close games. I know it was
four to one not super close, but games that they have to win.

(06:44):
Take advantage when they do get thegood pitching, don't waste it like they've
done so many times with lack ofoffense. And it was good to seeing
guys you know, were thinking, hey, this could you know, hopefully
start something going, get things going, Like I said, finished this trip
right, get home and start going. I mean, thirty and thirty is
not terrible. I mean, Iknow a lot of people think they're already
out of the West and it isgonna be really hard to catch back up.

(07:09):
But you know, with one hundredand two games to go, it's
certainly a lot can still happen.I mean, it's not terrible, but
it's not good. It's over theremoaning while you're talking like that fair to
say, okay, not not buyingthat bad. Let is it fair to
say it's not terrible but it's notgood. I agree, I agree not
with anybody, us included, andthey included, you know, expected them

(07:31):
to be. I mean, thirtyand thirty, that's you know, they
were a worst record last year, ended up with winning ninety games. But
you know this year is different.I mean, the East is loaded teams
of you know, uh, loadedup in the American League. It's I
think it's going to take more thanninety to get that last wild art spot.
You know, if you're not talkingabout winning the West. You know
the Rangers are playing out of theirheads. We saw that over the weekend.

(07:54):
But losing to Grom, I thinkis going to hurt them certainly long
run. Um their bullpen is stillreal shaky. Their offense is just red
hot. But you know, wonderif Baltimore keeps things up. You wonder
what Toronto's gonna do. I don'tthink the Angels, I think they're a
game ahead. I don't think they'rea threat at all. Houston's obviously gonna
be it. So it's it's gonnabe hard, not just to win the

(08:16):
West, but to get to ninetywins and ninety plus to get to the
wild Card. But again, onehundred two games ago, a lot can
happen. The deadline's coming up.I think I convinced the Mariners are going
to be active and do something, maybe even something big at the deadline.
So you know, lots to watchand look forward to. Still, yeah,
boy, last night, seeing Munio'scome back and be in mid season

(08:39):
form, it was like he didn'tmiss a beat, throwing one hundred miles
an hour there. Yeah, itwas great. We just talked to him
and we'll have an interview coming upon the pregame show at twelve thirty on
Root Sports. And a big thingwith him is he said that it took
longer to come back and he wasa little frustrated with that. But the
key for him last night is tobe able to pitch, throw everything,
throw a hundred and then feel reallygood today. No pain in the elbow,

(09:03):
no pain and the foot, nopain in the shoulder. He says,
he feels great. Most surprised hewas in last night, but you
know it was a perfect spot forhim up four one in that eighth inning.
You know, I don't he won'tclose for a while. That'll be
Seawat's job. But Munio's feeling greatand ready to go, not today but
certainly Friday on that great matchup withOtani and Castillo, but by having him

(09:28):
back so you could use him nowsix seventh, eighth and just come in
and wipe out especially right is.I mean, it is fun to watch
and I just don't know how youknow anybody can hit fastball that one hundred
miles an hour, moves like twofeet. It's just mind bogging and what
he can do. Okay, SoI think you guys already you already talked
to Service already. No, he'scoming up, Okay, he's coming up

(09:50):
fifteen last thirteen games and thirty eightplate appearances. His second baseman's got three
hits, he's hitting oh eighty six. Yeah, and he's in the lineup
again, And I just I needto know why why are they playing him?
What is the point of this? His slash line is is zero eighty
six, he's got an on baseof one fifty eight. His ops is

(10:11):
two seventy two. I mean,he just doesn't because he makes ten million
and they have a right hander goingfor San Diego. Okay, I guess
that's two good reasons. They makesten million, and there's a right The
reasons they're not good, Yeah, but you're right. You try to get
him going, you know, maybeif there's gonna be any chance of him,
you know, contributing and help himthis year, you got to try

(10:31):
to get him going, right.I don't know, at what point,
you know, do they say enoughenough? Maybe they don't. I don't
know. And maybe he does getit going again. You know, we
talked about Tao having a track record. Nicole Wall has got a track record,
right, He's won a Gold Glove, he had a fifteen home runs
last year. He's been a goodmajor league hitter for ten years. Um,
so you know he gets a littlerope. But but I mean being

(10:54):
honest too, right, I mean, if he was making a league minimum,
I don't think he'd be on theteam. But ten million dollars,
you know, you get him alittle more, a little more rope,
and you hope that somehow he finds, you know, something starts helping the
team. Can you phrase the questionof service just like we did? How
do you think that would go over? Skip? How can you keep trotting

(11:15):
that guy out there? What's thepoint? I got a couple of buddies
on radio that want me to askyou why you keep trotting them out?
Yeah, yeah, I'll see howthat goes. Hey, let me ask
you. You you're friendly with theseI mean you you got a great working
relationship with these players. I meanyou're you're entrenched with them, and you

(11:35):
know, you see how they howthey act, you know, away from
the field, how were they takingthis all in right now, Like,
what's the mood of the team hereafter sixty games? From how you see
it? You know, I wastalking about that last night with another media
member and it's you know, it'sa little different from last night, exieve
me, from last year. Youknow, last year they never really worried

(11:58):
much about the things. They werejust kind of playing loose and free,
knowing things would kind of turn around. I think this year it's a little
bit different. Expectations were heightened, you know, there was so much talk
about winning the West and playoffs andstuff. I think the slow start,
you know, it's more frustrating thanit was. I think last year.

(12:18):
Everybody's kind of searching for things.Like there's no panics, certainly, but
it's more like, hey, youknow, this isn't good. We need
to turn things around, like now, like they understand that they can't say,
oh, you know, we'll beokay for another fifty games. Like
they understand that things need to change. They need to do things different.

(12:41):
And the Skipper talked about that lastnight. You know, they had meetings
and try to do something differently offensively, and you saw better results last night.
You know, they're just trying tobe consistent in trying to kind of
get back to their approach and whatthey were doing. And but I do
feel that they're more kind of asense of urgency with these guys, which,

(13:03):
you know, I think it's good. I think it's good that they're
not saying, you know, everything'sgonna be just fine, you know,
went off to do anything different. They do have to do things differently,
and they realize that, and they'recertainly, um, you know, on
their way to hopefully fixing some things. Okay, Brad, so as kell
Nick built up up enough equity thatwe shouldn't be concerned about his recent struggles.
I was just looking one for hislast seven team of eleven strikeouts.

(13:28):
Uh. Yeah, it's a goodquestion too. I'd like to think so.
Um, but it's been a struggleof late. You know, he
moved around a little bit in thelineup leadoff in Texas. He's back hitting
fourth. You know, he hadthe big success that the start of the
year back in the when he washitting six, you know, but necessity
for the offense and how good hewas doing, you know, he had

(13:52):
to move him up to three, three or four in the lineup, and
he just hasn't been the same typeof hitter. I don't know if that's
just a random wincidence or not.Um, but he's still number wise,
you know, he's still their bestoverall hitter. Um. I think Julio
is certainly coming though. But yeah, I think a little concern. Um.

(14:13):
You know, I don't think thathe's quite the I don't like clean
up hitter now. UM, Idon't know, it'd be interesting to kind
of see kind of how he finishesup, you know, before the All
Star break, because his numbers saythat, you know, he could be
a potential All Star. Um,but I don't know, you know,
how it's gonna look as we getcloser to that game. Um, it

(14:35):
doesn't look like he's chasing a lot, but but he sure is striking out
a lot and then he's swinging andmissing a lot like we saw last night.
And I don't know, he certainlywon. You know, I want
to watch a kind of a longwinded answer guys, but uh, he's
still I think, yeah, youwere Um, you know, yeah,

(14:58):
hey Waite, tuck up, Brad, you're still talking here. See I
didn't know if we were talking toBrad, we were talking to bet.
How can I defend Celinic without reallydefending him in three minutes? But that's
what did you say? One forseventeen eleven strike ouns? Yeah, yeah,
it's started in tech. Yeah thatwas hasn't been good at tech in

(15:20):
here, no doubt. I don'tknow. It's a slump. Maybe he
gets it back, but he's notbeen you know, after that first month
or so, he's not quite beenthe same hitter. And I don't know
if it's been his body language.Okay, though he's not you yeah,
okay, all right, oh yeah, yeah. It takes a lot more
than that though. Change washed myhead on his first second. Are you
still talking? Brad? Just keeptalking? I lost connection to my Give

(15:46):
me one, Brad. We appreciateyour time to wait. Where are we
playing golf in LA? You're playingsomewhere there too, aren't you? I
am? Yeah, I'm playing tomorrowat a Royal Tribuca. Which is Michael
Block? Tell him high A?No? Isn't he He didn't make the
open, he didn't qualify. No, that's and I'm heartbroken. I'm heartbroken.

(16:07):
He've got an exemption I think forthis week's tour stop. I think
it's in Canada this week. Ohhe's up there. Uh yeah, yeah
he does. He doesn't exemption.Yeah, so I won't see him,
but I'll leave a note. Yeah, please do ask him if I can
get getting up asking me if youget in that special deal he's got running
there at one hundred and fifty dollarsan hour for a lesson not taking new

(16:30):
clients. Nobody. All right, you're the best. We'll talk you next
week. All right, thanks.Guy. There is Brad Adam Root Sports.

(17:33):
and that's me. I'm guilty thatI don't read them. I'm sorry,
but we will so f I can't. Are you getting the text today?
Are they not coming in? Idon't have it? Are you getting them?
I've already sent emails. There's apet kind of stop right. Yeah,
so it's down nationwide. I've emailedhim. Rich is already working on

(17:56):
it. It should be resolved. So that's done. A meat problem.
I thought it was me. There'sthe guy that calls us an idiot every
day? Is he there? No, we haven't had any text today and
there's there's an issue. Or maybewe're so good today that no one thinks
we're idiot. Okay, then you'vegot to tweet us. Then, Jason

(18:17):
Pucket twenty at Coog's go if youwant to ask us something in an hour,
because if the text lines broken, hey, maybe it'll be phone lines.
Oh god, calls. I don'tcare that sure. What's up with
that Wednesday at twelve thirty? What'sup with that Wednesday? You can you
gotta call us though because the textline is broken. Okay, I don't

(18:41):
know. Maybe we go that rount. We do voicemails here at eleven thirty.
If you'd like to leave us avoicemail and anything doesn't matter what it

(19:04):

Okay, you just got to hitthe record button. Then it's next to
the play button. You got thirtyseconds to get in whatever you want.
We're pushing for a little bit longer. No, I would not agree with

(19:26):
second one. That one. We'rebetter than TS. Did I do the
same thing? I was a broadcaster. I think that that it's time.
I think that that it's time.I love to see it. How manna
do we have today? Six?I love him? Which one do you

(19:48):
like? Do you like this one? I think I I might be the
leader now that it's time. Butthis is kind of the og and the
upper quartile of winners were in thetop quartile. Of that upper quartile,
I think that that it's time. All right, six of them taking away
my boy Gilbert to the rescue akapoint Stash. Yeah, he shoving it.

(20:11):
Just when I'm about ready to putTaoscaru on the barge. Guy surprises
me. So way to go Amsas well, Always go Coogs and suck
it much there it is the suckingMUDs. Let's temper the taoscar for a
little bit. It's four games aminute, it's four. Come on,
it's been four. It's four games, and three of those four were blowouts.

(20:37):
No, why can't you just say, hey, this might be a
good sign for the Mariners because theright field is heating up. Okay,
all right, let me just letme just pull up something for you.
Okay, I just can I seemore than four games? Is that?
Okay? Yeah? Sure? Okay? Because you want to know what he
did on the homestand are you curiouswhat the homestand was before that, he
had a batting average of one fiftyeight and that was ten games. So

(21:03):
before we start saying he's changed, and he's let's just let it play out
a little bit more cold and thewong. You don't gotta let that play
out, Pucky and gim once again. This is the CEO of Adam's Peanut
Butter. I left a voicemail acouple of days ago, and mister Chris
Kid chose to not play it.So what I'm gonna do is rub his

(21:29):
body and peanut butter, wax hisnipple hair and throw him in Lake Washington.
Me or have a good one,Pucky, keep spending money? Me
or you? Oh you. Ihaven't had peanut butter in two days.
I really feel like I've accomplished something. I swear to God. I thought
he's gonna say it and make Pucketlick it off a yet. Yeah,
well that's what I thought was coming, didn't you know? Yeah? But

(21:55):
I was kind of hoping that Iwould. I haven't had two days without
peanut. Why be out? No? We have willpower. Yeah, it's
close to being out, so I'mtrying to delay it. What's something?
It is? Good morning, jemMan Pock, it's your boys, say

(22:17):
Yo, we got uh bractice practicegoing on down there, and uh yeah,
I got almost everybody down there loveto see it, except my boy
Isaiah. Yeah, he just gotafter it and uh, you know,
he just got on one and wantedto bet at all for us to win.
Well it happened. Now do youthink he's like this just this is

(22:41):
his personality? Do you think hedoes heavy drugs? I think he has
in the past. I don't knowif it's in the present. Okay,
see I I I I think healways sounds like he's, I know,
kind of half in the bag, doesn't he? Yeah, but like hard,
like he's not doing like I thinkhe's doing, like the pills.

(23:03):
Maybe he looks like a pip asmuch as we like him. Do you
think I'm a little myself. Arethey ever gonna win a championship with this
guys? I don't know if theydo. God, oh, Mike,
I don't see that. You impossibleimagine that that night, you know,
where they go to the whatever clubto celebrate whatever city they're in, and
him, he gets up on thestage rocking out Joey Mullinaro. Yesterday,

(23:30):
Sean, you got here dealing withthis heat and can't it's a toasty one.
It's a little bit human. Youknow the thing about human it's an
equivocal it's unacceptable today. It remindsme I'm a homie Chris and Jamaica,
you know. But but he gotto cool off, you know. He's
floating down the door on the water. There's no water, no rivers here,

(23:51):
and can't That's all. I'm justcomplaining a bit, playing a boy.
Dot head down to Rent and Mike, no rivers and Kent. You
can go down to a Rent andthat's the got the Cedar River, the
Cedar River kind of get close.Does it get into the Green River going
through Kent? Does it go throughKent to the golf course riverbend? Is

(24:18):
that the Green River? I don'tknow. I think so, I'll be
honest, I think so. Idon't know if it is. I don't
like mentioning Green River though. Ifyou've been if you've been here a long
time, the Green River will stopthere. Yeah. Yeah, his name
again, Gary Ridge River Gard Thatis correct. Ah, that was a

(24:38):
scary time. Jesus. Well, every time I see a Green River sign,
don't you take it that guy?Of course? Yeah. I always
wonder why maybe the community calls didn'tchange them. It hasn't changed them.
Do you ever think about the Ido I think about that weirdly often,
do you? Yeah? Why don'tthey just take nicknames get changed? All

(24:59):
Yeah, you could take a casefor this, associate yourself with it and
just call it something else. They'renot going to let a bad apple ruin
it. Yeah, well that thatwas a bad apple. The bad that
was the whole tree was bad.Is that it was that the last one?
Two more? Oh two more?We got two more. That's better
than that. Come on now, hey, guys, GQ Jerry here.

(25:19):
I'll be checking in with you guysevery day of the week. This week
updating the Mariners. Surprise, surprise, Colton Wong will be in the lineup
again. He's three for his lastthirty eight point eighty six, but that
ten million means a lot so barour animtics, we read metrics and shoving
tactics. He'll continue to be inthe lineup and Caballero will be sitting in
the clubhouse. That's all I gottoday. It's a quick one long for

(25:42):
president. We love him. Thanksguys, all right, GQ Jerry checking
in the old Colton Wong Dylan Moore'sdid I read it. More's back right.
We're waiting for a left handed starter. Is that what we're doing?
I guess so because they want aguy in there and his last third eight
plate appearances that is hitting point zeroeight secs. Again, Why can't Dylan

(26:07):
Moore hit against the right hander? Is he? Is he not knew that?
What? She's two o eight against? Everybody throwing whichever which way?
Okay, get prediction on last voicemail. It's gonna be Jim Nance. It's
gotta be okay. It's either okay, yes, it's either Jim Nance or
it's soft. Good morning Jim throwbad to be bad too, miniicam man,

(26:30):
is it just rubbing me the rightway? You know? I kind
of like my buddy over there inNew England, Rubber Krab when he gets
his massages. They rubbed him theright way. Well, that's what mini
camp is for me there right betweenthe thighs, not so slow. It
just rubs me the right way.I love it. We're getting after it
here. We're just catching balls, running two holes. All the kids are
showing us that they know the playbugetsfantastic. The true Pete Carroll comes out,

(26:57):
Herbert Pete. There he is.That's why he's always wearing the gloves.
So oh man, wow, thatwas I didn't even think of that
we'd get old PD but that wasa good surprise. We should have thought
about it many time. All right, great voicemails today, we've got your

(27:19):
tween of the day and it comesyour way next and strike and strike and
strike and all right up bucking thego to guy with you here and know
what some of that Wednesday we arebrought to you by the Tolela Resort Casino,
Draft Kings Sports Book. We scouredTwitter bur news and information stories that

(27:41):
we can talk about and react toand um today Usually it's kind of funny,
but today's a serious one. It'son the heels of, of course,
the merger. Actually, I'm gonnastop saying merger because it's not a
merger. And that's something that Rorykept saying today. Though it's a partner.
It's a takeover. Let's just callit what it is. The the

(28:03):
PIF is is taking over professional golf. It's not a merger. There's no
partner. There's no partnership. Whenyou are the number one financial backer of
said league, I mean they're runningthe league. So it's a takeover by
the Saudis of a professional golf Onegroup of people in particular are extremely,

(28:27):
extremely upset, and it's an organizationcalled nine eleven Families United dot org.
And they have sent out a releaseto Jay Monahan to stop this deal.
And they write in part pj CommisionJay Monahan co opted the nine to eleven

(28:48):
community last year in the PGA's unequivocalagreement that the Saudi Live project was nothing
more than sports washing of Saudi Arabia'sreputation. But now the PGA and Monahan
appeared to have become just more paidSaudi shills, taking billions of dollars to
cleanse the Saudy reputation so that Americansand the world will forget how the Kingdom
spent their billions of dollars before nineto eleven to fund terrorism, spread their

(29:12):
hatred of Americans in finance Al Qaeda, and the murder of our loved ones.
Make no mistake, we will neverforget, said Nine eleven Families United
chair Terry Strata, whose husband Tomdied in the World Trade Center's North Tower.
He talked last summer about knowing peoplewho lost loved ones on nine eleven

(29:34):
then wondered aloud on national television whetherLive golfers ever had to apologize for being
a member of the PGA Tour. They do now as heat as does he.
Jay Monahan appeared on the Golf Channeltoday and was asked that very question.
Jay, the nine eleven Families Unitedmade a strong statement yesterday. They

(29:55):
said, you co opted the nineeleven community and taking a moral stance against
Live. How would you respond tothat group? Well, I m I
read Terry's comments, I, youknow, obviously acknowledge her loss and completely

(30:19):
understand her position. And to thequestion that you were just asking, you
know, I wish I think aboutthe fact that I allowed confidentiality to prevail
here, and in allowing confidentiality toprevail, I did not communicate to very

(30:45):
important constituents, including the families ofnine to eleven, and I regret that
I really do. But as wesit here today, you know, I
think I think it's important to,you know, to reiterate that I feel
like the move that we've made andhow we move forward is in the best

(31:07):
interests of our sport. We've eliminatedthose fractures. But for any any difficulties,
I've caused on that front. Again, I have to own that as
well, and that comes back tocommunication. Terry Strata again, who was
the Nine eleven Families United chair, did to go on to say in a
statement that was published on their websitenine eleven Families United dot org, our

(31:32):
entire nine eleven community has been betrayedby Commissioner Monahan and the PGA, as
it appears they're concerned for our lovedones was merely window dressing in their quest
for money. It was never tohonor the great game of golf. And
you know, listen, I knowthis is because what we're getting into now
with sports and geopolitical and this isthe element that people don't want to get

(31:53):
into because they come here for theseparation of it. You can't separate this
story though, you just can.It is There's there's no way you can
separate what they're doing. And Iknow what the reaction is and I text
line isn't working. I just Iknow what it's going to be right away.
Do you have regret when you pumpyour gas? It's the most laziest

(32:14):
response. And this whole topic thatpeople bring up every time, you,
me and everyone, we do nothave a choice where we get our gas.
There's not a gas station that saysit's Russian only. There's not a
gas station that says it's US onlyfuel. We don't. We don't choose
that. Now you can choose itbuy an electric car. But okay,
do you have seventy thousand dollars?Sure, if someone wants to buy me

(32:37):
a car, sure I'll do it. Yeah. I mean there is a
choice that they have made, andyou have to understand and and well,
what about all the companies that wedo business with, and a lot of
yah YadA, YadA YadA what theyare doing and what they are doing have
been doing with soccer, with golf, and with other entities that they will

(32:59):
start to get into. I guaranteeit. They are going to get into
everything else. And I think nosport is immune to them because they've got
money. Is they are trying tomake you forget, to put blinders on,
and if we throw enough money atyou, you'll forget what we did

(33:20):
it really and so why so anyonethat defends it and calls the hypocrisy of
everyone, I'd like you to gotalk to Terry Strata, just call her
a hypocrite. Well, you couldtell that Monahan was fishing for words there
because he had a long pause beforehe collected himself and proceeded to say that
he completely understood where she was comingfrom. If he completely understood where she

(33:42):
was coming from, then this dealwould have never taken place. And you
know, it's just in the bestinterest to the sport, and everybody knows
it's a bunch of bs. Buthe just was trying to cover himself and
didn't go well well with the players. It's not going well with anybody today.
And we'll find out more from RexHolguard of the Golf Channel coming up
now. Yeah, Rex will joinus coming to mex And I think that

(34:04):
the you know, the person thatI think I keep coming back to,
whether you agree with his stance ofwhat he did, that I think is
the who has been the most truthfulin this entire process. And a guy
who is just gets the reputation ofbeing kind of an idiot or dumb is
Dustin Johnson. And I just keepgoing back to full swing. He's like,

(34:24):
I left because of money. Ileft because there's a that's paying me
more money to work less. That'sit, which is what all of us
aspire to do yes and that. But yet these guys Rory Monahan, the
rest of them all, and evende Shambo and the rest of the live

(34:46):
guys Phil Garcia, Westwood Halter, all, well, we want to change
the game of It had nothing todo with that. Stop saying that it's
this, this goal to change golf. You just wanted money. Yeah,
they were reading from what the PRpeople told him to say, even though

(35:07):
they were thinking, the only reasonI'm here is because they gave me X
amount of millions and uh, andI didn't have to perform to get those
X amount of millions. So yeah, I mean, yeah, you don't
blame DJ that that full swing whenhe was talking about it. Yeah,
you can disagree with DJ stance anddisagree and be maybe disappointed, may maybe
disappointed in his decision, but youcan I can respect him just being honest

(35:31):
about it, just honest and evenkeptka I will save for Kepka basically admitted
the same thing as I thought Iwas hurting. I was done. I
need the money. Yeah. Thecompetitor in you likes to think that,
Oh you know, I'm going tostand the PGA Tour and if I win
this week, I'll make three anda half million. And wait a minute,
like what Dustin Johnson get? Wasit like two or three hundred million?

(35:51):
Probably? I think he was onehundred and fifty or two hundred million.
Yeah, so many terments would hehave to win to get that much
money. He had made seventy fivemillion on this career on the tour and
that doesn't include endorsement money. Let'sget the very last. Rex Hagger joins
us from the Golf Channel. RexHagger GC coming up next.
