(00:12):
All right, final lot of theradio program again. What's up that Wednesday?
Your questions coming up bottom of thehour. I guess the text line
is up in row and thank godthat's back. The anonymous hate texts are
back. We can't wait to readthem coming up bottom of the hour over
that Wednesday. I wonder if Rexhas our next guest. Rex will get
to in a second, has likeit's not Twitter. I mean, if

(00:34):
you're listening Rex, think Twitter. But you don't even have any like handle
to know who's texting you this stuff. It's it's a fun duel and I'm
glad. iHeartMedia invented it for usto read headlines real quick. Buddies,
good, he's in glass brings youthe headlines. You know what they say.
It's always a four twenty there,buddies. A Mariner's are back out
of today. George Kirby um theamount. As they wrap up their brief

(00:59):
two series with the Ponders, theymove on to the Anaheim Angels and tomorrow
will be a juicy matchup Luis Castilloagainst some guy named how do you how
do you pronounce his name? Showshowy O Tony. Yes, that will
be the matchup tomorrow. Rory mcelroydsaid today in the press conference felt like

(01:19):
a sacrificial lamb and I still hatelift. Okay, the RBC, the
Canadian Open will tee off tomorrow. What a day in the world of sports.
And joining us right now. Hehas been a a fan favorite of
this radio program. He's always Idon't think he's ever said no, which

(01:41):
is amazing because everyone says no tous. Rex Hoggard from the Golf Channel
add Rex Haggard g C H.I mean, how many hours do you
think you put in yesterday just workingon this story? Uh No? The
hay line is is Twitter. Isee what you're saying, but look all
those eggs show up, and Imean it might as well be faithless people.
I mean, if yesterday was anyindication that is nothing but a hate

(02:04):
line, yes, it is,I guess it. All of it is.
What What was that like for youyesterday as a reporter to follow that
stories a broke early in the morningand then chase it down the rest of
the day. The irony is Mondayand that's that. It's what we call
Go's longest day, and it did. It was Goff's longest day. I

(02:24):
started at four thirty am Monday. It didn't send us up until I didn't
get back to my room until almostmidnight. It was qualifying for the US
Open, and it's a fun day. We look forward to it. What
you don't expect is to have thenext longest day the very next day getting
off a plane. So it wasinteresting. And look, I mean there's
a you guys do this. We'reall kind of in the same business,
and there's an exhilaration that when something'shappening happening that's historic. And I would

(02:47):
say yesterday is a historic for thePGA tour. There's you know, it
keeps you going. And then butby the time everything ended last night there
was a crash. It was along day. Well yeah, Rex,
I mean we're talking about it yesterday. Last year at this time, if
you said some sort of an agreementlike this was going to take place,
wouldn't it have been a million toone odds if you'd told me that we've

(03:10):
been here a year from now.I said, probably more than a million
to one odds. I will say, And this isn't me bragging or trying
to pretend like I know more thanother people. I had conversations with plenty
of people, and I think Iprobably said this. It's plenty of outlets
that there will be a day whenthe two sides will have to come together.
There's no other option like these. You can't live independently from each other

(03:32):
in this universe. I just didn'tthink that was twelve months away. I
didn't know if it was twelve yearsaway like it. I actually had a
conversation with a player who live aboutthis last year at a tournament, and
on the rector said he did togetherthe leadership Jay Monahan the PGA Tour.
But the same applies to Greg Normanand Lived Golf, and he goes absolutely

(03:53):
like both sides were so entrenched itwas nearly impossible to figure out how this
could happen. Rex Hoggard from theGolf Channel is with us right now here
on the Beacon Plumbing Hotline. Youmentioned Greg Norman. I mean he liked
the rest of the world found outfive to ten minutes before they made the
announcement on CNBC, which is remarkable. But because he Rex, he was
such the figurehead, he was theface of this this entire tour. I'm

(04:15):
curious, what do you think ayear from now. Is Greg Norman and
Jay Monahan a part of this?Uh no, no, And I hate
doing this. I've said this acouple of times now. I hate sort
of the sports radio thing that youknow, the coach needs get fired or
them needs he gets fired. LikeI never felt comfortable with that, And

(04:35):
that's kind of what I'm doing here. I only say that for two reasons.
One, both Greg and Jay havebeen so outspoken and so critical and
so harsh to the other side, and like somehow they're supposed to find a
way to shake hands and get towork and roll up sleeves, Like I
don't know how that happened. Andto be clear here, and this has

(04:56):
been misconstrued throughout the last twenty fourhours, this is not an agreement between
the PGA Tour and Live Golf. This is not a merger between those two
entities. This is an agreement betweenthe PGIA Tour and the Public Investment Fund
of Saudi Arabia. And that thatneeds to be pointed out that in that
agreement is to create a new entitythat doesn't have a name. I'm not
quite sure Live Golf's going to bearound the year from now. Yeah,

(05:17):
because I'm glad you bought that upbecause you know, and I took issue,
and we took issue this morning withlistening to Rory talk about this.
This has nothing to do with liveand the PGA Tour is just going to
operate like it normally doesn't. AndI just maybe you can correct me if
I'm wrong, and I guess it'sjust a difference of opinion, but I
just don't see how he can livein that reality of the world of golf.

(05:42):
This is clear to me. Imean, this entity in Saudi Arabia
is worth six hundred billion dollars. They have bought professional Golf and now whatever
name they're gonna use can change heresoon. But this isn't just like status
quo, I don't think. Imean, this is a clear signal to
me that this group is now goingto be running golf and that I mean,

(06:05):
whatever decisions they want to make movingforward, it will be their decisions
because they're the money behind the project. To a certain degree, I think
you're right. I think Mott professionalGolf right now might be premature only based
on what we know, and wedon't know a lot, but based on
what we know, the chairman,I'm Sorry, the governor of the Public

(06:25):
Investment Fund will become a member ofthe PGA to a board a member.
He's not going to become the chairman. He's going to be one of ten
members, which means in Theorrie he'llhave one of ten votes. Now,
you're right, it sounds to methere will be an incredible amount of money
from the Public Investment Fund invested intothis new entity. But I'm not quite
sure number one, what that lookslike and how that fits into the current

(06:45):
landscape. And two exactly like, what is that going to mean to golf
because the release said yesterday we're stillgoing to do all of the normal things.
There will still be a Canadian Opennext year and it will be seventy
two holes and there won't be ateam aspect to it. Well, the
week before be some sort of teamevent that's run by this new entity.
That's what we need to figure outgoing forward. Yeah, you know the

(07:06):
thing with Rory too, I mean, he softened his stance and he's known
for being so candid and outspoken andagainst live and everything that it stands for,
sits for whatever. And then howmuch do you think he was being
honest today or was it just prfrom him? I think anytime Rory talks,

(07:26):
there's honesty. Now, is hebeing come entirely forthright? No,
because sometimes he can't be entirely forthright. I think it's shocky that he got
the phone call about the same timeeveryone else did this morning that this was
happening. Now, he did saythat he knew that there was talks going
on, which is more than mostof us who pretend to be insiders can
claim. Because this did come outof left field. In this particular case,

(07:47):
I think his hands were tied somuch, and I think he went
about as far as he was ableto go given the circumstances. You were
now partnered with Saudi Arabia for betteror worse, and you have made statements
in the past, and this startsthree years ago in Mexico City when he
famously said the line that I'm goingto be on the right side of history.
And so there's only so much youcan dial that back. There's only

(08:09):
so much you can take back. And that's that's what I said about Monahan
and Greg Norman, like, there'sso much animosity here, it's going to
be difficult to see how this goesahead. Uh, ask, I mean,
I'm going to ask you to speculatehere, and so I apologize about
it. Do you do you believethat Rory and Tiger did not know that

(08:30):
they found out the same time wedid. I do. I do,
And I know enough people, trustenough people and know that enough people are
close enough to this situation who havetold me they did dine. Now,
Wow, that's amazing. That isjust it is simply I mean you know
that. I mean you've been coveringsports for a long time. I mean
this day and age of social mediaand just everything to keep this under wraps.

(08:52):
There have been which is remarkable.Rex there have been some who've speculated
that this is rushed? Do youknow why this was rush? Was?
Was there someone that was planning onreleasing details that have the story? What
is maybe the scuttle butup been aroundthe golf world of why this was thrown
together so quickly because people in themeeting said there was really no details about

(09:16):
the situation at all. No,I don't think anybody was a bright to
break story, if that's what you'reasking. It did feel rushed, and
so to that point, at bestI could tell there was five people in
the World who knew about this onMonday night and it was say morning,
and it was two members of thePGA Tour policy boards who pretty much blew
printed this. There was the governorof the Public Investment Fund and I keep

(09:37):
referring to them at that because Iam not very good at saying his name,
so I apologize right now. Andthen there was it was the chairman
of the DP World to the EuropeanTour. Keep telling that's it. So
only five people knew on Monday nightwhen that's this deal was finalized. What
I have heard in what makes moresense to me is that there were things
that were going to come to lightin the anti trust law suits that perhaps

(10:01):
they wanted to pre empt and didn'twant to start going down this road,
because I truly believe the reason thetour got here, the reason Jay Monahan
finally got to this point where hewas willing to have a conversation, is
because the lawsuit was going to beso draining and so exhausting, and there
was going to be things that cameup that they clearly did not want out
in the public realm. Now,whatever that is, I can only speculate

(10:22):
that would be dangerous and wild speculation. The other half of this is he
probably looked at the landscape and said, Okay, we're winning right now,
but will we be winning in tenyears from now when the Public Investment Fund
continues to invest billions and billions ofdollars to go up against us. He
chose right now, this moment intime, because it was probably going to
be his best moment. This isthe moment of strength, This is my

(10:45):
best opportunity to get in here.I don't believe anybody was going to break
this story. It was probably justthings they wanted to pre empt and get
it out there and try to moveforward. Anybody ever asked him why not
just drop the five O one charityroute? Many people, including ESPN outside
the lines we talked about the otherdays, has reported that is to a

(11:05):
degree of farce of what they do, which is kind of commonplace with a
lot of charities, especially involving athletes. Why not just drop that? And
would that have saved them? Ithink, and I've seen a lot of
stories about this. I've talked toa lot of people who are a lot
smarter than me. The model ofthe PGA tour would be severely hammered if

(11:26):
they did drop that five or onethree status and because of the taxis exempt
status. I can't tell you theparticulars of exactly why it's. It's largely
because the tour is a charity, but it's all the other charities that kind
of feed into that. And bythat, I mean every tournament is pretty
much its own charity, and everytournament is donating money to whatever their local

(11:46):
charity is, and so the touris able to feed off of that,
which I get where you're coming from, it sounds like a bit of a
farce. I mean, it dependson what you feel about how that works
out. I don't know if thisis because of that. I can tell
you as a result of that.I just literally got an email five minutes
like when on the radio with youguys, that there was a congressman who
has proposed a bill to strip awaytheir five or one C three status.

(12:09):
This isn't the first time that happened. And my guess is pry for this
are going to get louder and louder. Brando Shambley, we know what he
thinks about the LA L I Vand the merger or whatever you want to
call it. I appreciate what hehad to say, saying it was one
of the saddest days in the historyof golf yesterday. Do you agree with
that at all, Rex, oryou think that's going a little too far.

(12:31):
Brando has been very opinionated, andlike, I'm not in a position
he would never want me to,and I don't want to defend him.
We pay him for his opinion, and his opinion has been very strong on
this, and I would say thesame thing about Am and Lynch or my
colleague who works for Golfweek magazine. The only thing I will say is that,
much like jam Anhan, much likeRory McElroy, they've been put in

(12:52):
an a possible position. I'm notquite sure I understand the motivation to put
Brando Shambley on air yesterday. Iwas sitting in my home studio waiting to
go on right after him, andI felt a large amount of sympathy for
him, because I know he stillbelieves in what he said, but right
now there's no other option for himthan others to accept this, which is
essentially the exact same thing that Grorysaid today. Yeah, there was a

(13:15):
there was a good I think itwas a follow up question about Rich Learner
yesterday, will you I think hewas just asking him, are you going
to continue to call golf? Wasbasically what he was asking him, And
he said, to listen, I'mpaid to call golf and talk about golf
swings, and I've wanted to getaway from this, but you know,
because this story line has been soprevalent in the world of golf, it
had to be discussed. He sharedhis opinion. I mean, that's that's

(13:37):
all we asked for in this business. Yea. I was ushered about that,
though, right. I mean,I don't know. Do you get
talked to at the Golf Channel aboutthings you can say and can't say?
I do not, because I'm areporter, and I'd like to think that
I've done a decent job of thatthat and look why I've had this conversation
with a lot of different people. It's not my job to have an opinion
about live golf or the stoutis orwhatever the case may be. It's my

(13:58):
job to report the facts and alot wait. That makes my job so
much easier than it makes Brino Shamble'sjob, because when I go on air,
I'm telling you what I'm hearing andwhat I knew, not what I
feel like I think I know. And in this particular case, no,
no one has ever come to mebecause I don't think they would ever have
a d I mean because if I'msaying something, it almost came from somebody
else. It came from a playeror an agent or another source. Hey,

(14:20):
Rex, And again Rex Hoggard iswith us a golf channel, follow
a Rex on Twitter. He's he'sa great follow He's a terrific reporter.
Now sometimes with that notepad thing,he is admitted to us that there's really
not much on there, but it'sfor show on TV. Right Rex,
Right, I didn't even say show. It's like my blanket. I just
need it when I'm on air. There's too many. It's coming at your

(14:41):
past man. You can follow onTwitter Rex Haggard, GCU. What is
there anything the players? Right? It was not a lot of the best
players were in that room yesterday, just because it's the Canadian Open, and
I mean there's certainly were some goodones. There's infamous report coming out that
A Grace and Murray swore it atRory McElroy. Rory told him you just

(15:05):
play better there. Obviously, isdivide in the with the players. Not
everyone's going to agree with this.Is there a step where the players can
take Do they have to vote onthis and approve this? And is there
a chance they vote against it?And this does not happen, Well,
this is inside baseball and nothing boldstuff, and I'm sure that no one

(15:26):
is listening. It cares. Butthe way it has to work going forward
and looked that I would argue thatMonahan and a lot of people went outside
the line even agreeing to this sortof shell of an agreements before this,
because the way it's supposed to workis as a policy board and they're supposed
to debate this and they're supposed tovote on it and approve it or not
approve it. And when you whenit's something this big, my understanding is

(15:48):
they actually have to approve it twice. Yeah, I have to go through
the process twice. There's a sixteenmember player policy bo a pack that also
has to be involved with this process. None of that happened. So going
forward, whatever and I mentioned it, like whatever the nuts and bolts of
this entity is going to be,however, it's going to work into the
current ecosystem. However, you're goingto allow the players who join LIB back

(16:11):
onto the PGA Tour. Whatever thosespecifics are now has to go through that
process. And not so much Graceand Murray because he's not on the pack
where the policy board, but theplayers will have a say, and I
can tell you that from what Iheard from last night's meeting, there's a
severe lack of trust right now whenit comes to the players and their leadership,
and the commissioner's job is probably onlygoing to be harder going forwards trying

(16:33):
to convince them that whatever it isthis is going to look like needs to
happen. Yeah, I'm just asa golf fan curious as to you know,
whether there's going to be a teamaspect next year, whether the Live
is going to operate separately, whetherthe PGA Tour is going to go on
as we always have known it,or what's going to happen. I mean,
when do we start getting some ofthose details about how that's going to

(16:55):
work out. The conversations haven't started. That doesn't help, and I wish
I could give you a better answer, but again, everyone was shocked yesterday
when this came out, all theway up to and including Teyer Woods and
Rory McElroy, And though they're goingto be involved in this conversation and you're
going to have to imagine that,I guess the best case scenario is,

(17:17):
Okay, the new entity will beonline next year. I can tell you
that the PGA Tour hasn't even releasedtheir schedule for next year, that they
were still trying to put that togetherand all the moving pieces that go into
that. So how they're able towork this second entity into what was already
going to be a great challenging schedule. Man, I wouldn't want that job.

(17:37):
Hey, what does this mean forthe Ryder Cup this year? Nothing?
I think I would argue that Brookskept get already pretty much wrapped up
his spot, at least in myopinion talking with players, certainly, I
think there's a large belief. Roryput a voice to this, like,
look, he's second on the listnow, it's hard to believe that he
falls outside the tops of the automaticqualifiers. So I would imagine Brooks will

(17:57):
be on that team. If youhave another live player, another US mid
player that plays well in the nexttwo majors, you can even see more
on that team. The way itworks on the European Tour is pretty much
all of those players have turned downtheir membership and you have to be a
member to be a member of theEuropean Ryder Cup team. I said pretty
much, not all of them. They're still a handful of them. And

(18:19):
I can kind of go down thelist with you who could catch lightning in
a bottle over the next two majorsyou're talking about next week US Open,
of course the Open Championship in July, where somehow they play well and get
on the radar, we'll start havinganother conversation. But that seems far fetch.
So as it stands right now, you'll have one player between the twenty
four and I think I don't knowthat that will be very disruptive. So

(18:42):
look, okay, So like thepolicy with the with Zach Johnson, there's
six automatic and then he can picksix. That's not the same with the
European Like Luke Donald doesn't get tojust pick six guys he wants. He
can pick six guys he wants, but they have to be European Tour members.
So take for example, I thinkthe best example of surgery Darcy is

(19:02):
probably the one most people would say, yes, he may or may not
have been on that team. Ishe has turned down his European Tour membership.
So it's just written into the bodyballslike he has pretty much turned down
ever being on the Ride or everbeing on the European team this year.
What about Poulter? I believe Poulterhas also turned down his store membership has
already you know, and this haseverything to do with fine. They were

(19:23):
fine if you remember, and againthis goes back to April. There was
a judge and the UK who ruledin favor of the European Tour and they
had fine players and so they hadgotten a really really large amount of fines.
I know one player had gotten aboutwas half a million zero fine in
fine, and so they were reallykind of up against it, and most
players just turned down their membership becausethey didn't particularly want to pay the fine.

(19:45):
I know some did not. Doyou think Zach Johnson would pick Dustin
Maybe? And I say that onlybecause well, it's two fold. One,
if Duston plays well and he hasn'tplayed I wouldn't say well enough in
the first two majors to justify thatexistence. But if he does anything sort
of in these last two majors andat least gets on the radar. I'm

(20:07):
talking, you know, maybe movesto twentieth on the list, twenty fifth
some around in there. Then Iwill tell you that of the players,
all the players who'd left to goto live, he's the one everyone misses
the most. Yeah, you've mentionedthat before. Hey, go check out
to Rex Haggard Ryan Lavner. Theydo a podcast together. It's up there.
Follow Golf Central ad Golf Central. Also follow Rex at Rex Haggard GC

(20:29):
and Ryan Lavner GC podcast discussing allof this more details, wealth and knowledge.
As always, thank you for alwayssaying yes to it. I know
it's been a busy twenty four hoursfor you guys, forty eight hours and
will continue to be so. Wealways appreciate the time. Rex, Thank
you of course. You guys.Have a great day. Yeah, you
as well. There is Rex Hoggardcovering the story. He does a great

(20:49):
job. I love when he andRyan Lavner together. Yeah, getting two
reporters there. Yeah, it's funstuff. Just the remarkable story was just
so many tentacles, reactions up fromeverywhere, and just how much it has
changed the landscape of sports and andwhat it will continue to do to change
the landscape of sports. I meanthis, this PIF will not stop.

(21:11):
I'm just reading a story today.I don't know who this player is.
It's just I'm following the international footballworld and apparently one of the Saudi teams.
It's not Messi. I guess Messi'scoming to Miami now but for the
MLAs. But there's a defender thatone of the Saudi teams has just signed.
And he's been described as a middleaged over the hill defender like down

(21:36):
done with his career, and they'vepaid him a hundred million dollars. They
have an infinite amount of money becausehe was a superstar once a superstar,
and they just want him here.Yeah, and that's the type of money
that you can get. It justit just doesn't end. No, it's

(21:57):
uh. It'll be interesting to seewhat what's going to happen here when the
details come out, and whether they'regoing to pursue other sports. And boy
Rex Hoger, what did he say? He went four thirty, woke up
four thirty in the morning, andhe was going till midnight. Oh yeah,
because that was for people who knowthe longest day golf he played thirty
six holes to qualify for the USOpen. So the Golf Channel puts all
these reporters and all of the sectionalplaces. There was a reporter here in

(22:17):
Lakewood at Tacoma Country Club and thenjust elsewhere. I think he I don't
know where he was at. Hewas wherever he was on one of the
sites. And yeah, they're justup in the morning and they followed all
day long and yeah, and thenno sleep and then band woke up with
that tomorrow or yesterday. We havetwo tickets to see Joel McHale Friday,
June sixteenth, at eight o'clock atthe Tlalup Resort Casino. Now, tenth

(22:44):
caller right now at two eight sixninety five ninety five toll free one eight
hundred eight two nine zero nine fivezero. Do we have a so four
like two pairs. We have twopairs to give away. So the tenth
and twelfth callar, tenth and twelfthcaller, we'll get tickets to go see
Joe McHale June sixteen, two eightsix nine, eight hundred eight to nine

(23:08):
zero nine fives. What's up?What's up with? I think it's become
official? How do you is itLionel or Lionel Messi. Messi has joined

(23:29):
inter Milan of the m l Sand I'm told Sounder fans will never get
to see him play. I didnot know this. He will not play
on turf. You will only playon natural grounds. That's where I like
to play, if you know whatI mean. He's got He's got a
lot of contingencies and extras. Sothere was I don't know if all the

(23:49):
financial details have come out, butthere was rumored for the longest time.
It's going back a few months.I mean, inter Milan has been in
the top the topic or the discussionof signing and there were reports and some
have shot it down that he wasgonna get thirty five percent owners stake in
the team being one of the oneof the things. I mean. He
was competing with an entity in SaudiArabia that was offering him four hundred million

(24:10):
dollars a year. So he's gonnaget paid. He is. He is
gonna, reportedly though, get revenuemoving forward generated by new subscribers that sign
up for the MLS season passed onApple TV. He will now get a
percentage of them. That media deal. When they signed it was ten years,
two and a half billion dollars. So moving forward, he'll get a

(24:33):
piece of that pie. He's alsoapparently going to get a piece of pie
of offered a profit sharing agreement withAdidas, which is MLS's largest corporate sponsor,
so he'll get that's what's the actualbase salary to I don't even know
if that's been reported. Maybe maybeit has probably two or three hundred million.

(24:56):
That's incredible, man, Yeah, well, good for it. I
mean it's he's he's a star andhe's coming here. Andy, Hey,
sounders in Seahawks. How about weget grass in there? Huh so we
can see him play? You getsixty five thousand people in there? Would
you? At least? So hehas something in his contract that says he

(25:18):
doesn't have to play on turf.I guess that's what. Well, that's
what anders told us. And againI don't really trust a lot of people,
but I trust the Andershirst comes tosoccer news. When it comes to
soccer news, it's Andershurst. Heis my go to god. Yeah that
is uh, that's right. Ican't wait to see more of the contractual
details. When Beckham moved to theMLS, he earned two hundred fifty five

(25:45):
million dollars over five years. Hepurchased Intermalan for twenty five million. Currently,
inter Milan is valued at six hundredmillion. They now believe by getting
messy it will push the club's valuationover a billion dollars. Take guts,
I saw, I've already skyrocketed fromlike forty bucks to like five hundred or
whenever he can plied when a hellplan forty to five hundred? How much

(26:08):
would you pay to go watch him? Uh? Funny? They have like
that Mariners value deal ten bucks andget a hot dog and a pop.
I would probably go do that, which is a great deal, by the
way, great deal, don't youagree? Oh? Yeah? Okay?
So do our text working or notworking? What's up? There is some

(26:30):
Keith wantson, Oh what's up witha Saudi p if they want to buy
the Mariners? Can you imagine ifthey if the PIF got into baseball?
Oh, we have spending seven billiondollars on the Mariners. We've got five
players that make a billion dollars.Did you imagine that? Or did I

(26:55):
say inter Milan? Yeah, interMiami? Okay? Why bad? Good
lord Puck, get it together,I'm sorry, I'm all excited the matter
with you? Uh well, okay, would you be on board with that
if they bought the Mariners, Imean if it, if it meant they
could get Otani here, you'd startworking in their direction a little bit.

(27:17):
Yeah. Well I buy gas too, So I think it's good for the
sport, the global aspect of it. I mean, who doesn't want a
team and Saudi Arabia may we goplay there in the summer, okay,
so as long as they have aroof. So you had a choice of
Johnston still owning the Mariners and notgoing after Otani, or the Saudi's coming

(27:37):
in and buying the Mariners and gettingOtani. Come on, let's let's get
the come on, let's get themall signed up. He has he ever
thought about has he ever been herein the summer for the for the Mariners?
Let's go? Okay, I said, Inner Milan, So what it's
inner Miami, Jesus at at onetime? Relax its you try doing this
for three hours a day and I'mscrewing up. It's what other sports of

(28:04):
the saud He's going to take overnow, man. We talked about it
yesterday. We talked about again today. I don't what stomps them from not
doing any Listen, this is asystematic effort to win you over. That's
what they're doing, and it's working, and they're trying to win you over.
Hey, we're good. We didn'tknow anything about Usalam bin Laden.

(28:30):
Now he's a royal family. Wedidn't know. Oh, we didn't hide
him for years. We didn't doany of that. I mean, that's
what they're doing. They are bribingyou to forget Listen. I have my
own feelings. We shouldn't have myown feelings about this, but you know,
this is not a political show, geopolitical show. I mean, I
wish we would do no business withthem nothing. I think that day that

(28:52):
that September eleven, two thousand one, we should have cut off. Everything
should have been done with them, but the finances, and then that's just
not how the work operates. Theypossess one thing that the world needs,
and if we could ever get ouract together and figure out a way to
maybe not use that, we wouldbe better off. Okay, I'm done
with that talk, but that's whyyou're stuck with it. But the moment

(29:17):
that that day happened should have beenthe end of the relationship. You should
have been over. They murdered million, they murdered thousands of Americans, and
we sit here and now just like, oh, that's golf, I'll watch.
I mean, it's so yeah,I mean that's the reality. Is
it inter Milan or my end?You know what? That it angers so

(29:38):
many if you know, I'm justgonna keep calling it inner Milan, Okay,
Jesus. Nick wants to know doyou use a spoon or knife to
lather up that peb and j fora bread? What kind of question is
that, Nick? There's only oneright answer. Spoon and you know why
because then you get you spread alittle bit onto then half of it still

(29:59):
in the spoon. A knife youcan kind of cut your you could cut
your tongue a little bit. Youknow, they're kind of spoon Get a
butter knife. I think you're probablyfar enough along where you don't injure your
tongue. You probably licked off aknife so many times you got ventilations again
to messy for inter Milan. Jeff. Rumors are the Saudis are taking over

(30:22):
the pickle Ball Association. Let's see, is that true? I mean what's
Egan gonna be out there? Ihave to ask him on Friday to see
how he feels about that. You'renot gonna be here Friday, you can't
ask him. No, they'll begone. Yeah, we'll be red eye
flight tomorrow night to London. Ohtomorrow. I've already done research, do

(30:45):
more research on that than I doshow point. But what's that? What's
pubs in London? I've checked thatout. Yeah, there's there's one in
some district. Well, I thoughtyou were saying, what are you gonna
do on the flight? What's thewhat's the protocol on the on the on
the red Eye heading? What isLondon? Nine hours? Do you sleep
or do you stay up? Likehow bay up? I thought, yeah,

(31:07):
I'll just have a book. Sopuzzles, crossword puzzles, movies,
Yeah, movies. Do you haveone of these fancy flights where you get
your own little pod of those?Just regular? I think we're just going
to be in coach. Yeah yeah, wait, don't really spend some money
on that room. Yeah you flyingspirit found a couple of pubs to go

(31:30):
to over there? Yeah, thatwould be great with the kids, that's
fun. Yeah, way to bea parent. Yeah, that would be
drinking age is eighteen over there?Yeah, that would be great. Is
shouldn't be eighteen here? You thinkI believe so? Yes? Yeah,
I've always found it odd that wecan ghost send our boys and girls away

(31:51):
to war. But no, youcannot have a pint? What about cigarettes?
Can you get him an eighteen?Did they change that? Kid?
Look that up? They change that. Cigarettes things at twenty one? Now
seeing gamble at eighteen, But youcan't drink at eighteen? I mean,
which is worse? Certain places youcan gamble? Right, twenty one years
of age for cigarettes? Cigarette?Again, that's an odd twenty one for
cigarettes? Just why I can jointhe military? Why can't I? If

(32:14):
I can vote, why can't Ismoke and drink? You still have an
occasional one? I do not?Well? You quit finally? First of
all, you act like I smoked, well you did when you like when
you drank? Right? No,like twenty years ago? It was it
was one summer I worked in theairport and baggage claim it was nothing else

(32:36):
to do it. Now that waslike my junior year of college. That
was like with more than twenty yearsago. Uh that because there's nothing else
to do so the guys, theunion guys wouldn't work in the summer.
Basically they would just take it offbecause all the college kids would come in
and do the baggage play, sothey didn't do anything. So we would
all work. And then when you'rein baggage claim is any if anyone's ever

(32:57):
done it, you know, theirbags go down the escalator, boom,
they fall down. You know, puts is like me or reading the tags
and throwing them on the little cartswhere they go. But there's a lot
of downtime. You get this bigswell of activity and then for like I
don't know, a couple of hours, sometimes would be an hour. There's
nothing to do, so we wouldplay spades and chains bone. I found

(33:19):
it exhilarating. You miss it.It was a fun time. It really
was. What are we doing today? Let's play spades? What do you
got? Three in a page?Uh? Cigarettes of choice? I believe
we were. We were. Itwas a Winston Union. I believe I'm
in Winstays. I remember my grandfatherhe did that. The camels without a

(33:40):
filter. Oh yeah, just gowithout the filter. Yeah yeah, no,
I don't. I think they wereforty cents a packback. I don't
I don't miss that, the misinformationshow of record. Of course, it's
a misinformation show of record. Uhwhat else have we got here? Anything
else? What's up with a cavalarrow? No Yan Moore instead the Wonger and

(34:01):
Ford thanks services his little league.Everybody plays. I don't understand why Dylan
Moore's not in today. Please saveme the bs about the platoon. Why
Colden Wong can't hit water if hefell out of a boat. Dylan,

(34:21):
First of all, can we youhave brought this up so much with Dylan
Moore? Can we just please stoppretending Dylan Moore's an All Star. For
the love of god, they're payinghim three million a year though. You
know what his splits were last year. He oh, he's gonna be our
platoon guy. For left handed bats. He hit two OHO six two h

(34:45):
six against him. He had asix eighty four ops. You know,
he played more games last year againstright handers, by the way, more
games, he had, more playedappearances, he had more at bats,
and he tore the cover off theball when he faced right. He's one
sixty three with a five fifty eightopius. But he hit the same amount

(35:06):
of Home Runs sixty three being animprovement over Colton Long though, why not
just play him? His wife playedDivision one golf at Central Florida, and
that's why we'd like to see him. Yeah, okay, seeing on the
mouse. Who's it is it?Uh? No? I in right eye
surgery again, Jesse. Well hetalked about yesterday, got that refracture eye

(35:31):
surgery. He doesn't need readers anymorecoming up, so price, she's working
today, not taking a vacae.Coach shall just tell like it is a
lot of lack of discipline, atleast in the first half here we made

(35:54):
the boats no one, let's sellwe should play this one for her as
well, since she's doing cross THIyou you're she? The hell do you
think we're talking about? It's you? What's my name? Looking? Um?
They kay? There we go,There we go, Jessamine McIntyre.

(36:15):
Ladies and gentlemen, she is takenover Ian for nest today. This is
what we call a wally pit moment. This is when Ian will never come
back and ever have his show again. Yeah, but he'll be seeing so
clearly, that's and he'll see theriding on the wall that he's out.
Oh my God, I like it. How are you? I am fantastic.

(36:37):
I mean, shores of Lake Washington, breeze eagles, lots of friends
around um empty practice field right now. But they'll get started inside first in
about ten minutes here, and thenthey'll be out on the field. Uh
and for a certain amount of time. I think I'm allowed to talk about
what's going on? Okay, well, what's going on? What can we

(36:58):
talk about? What can we say? We can say back to strategy and
all that. Oh yeah, I'llbe breaking down their schemes and everything.
No, Luckily enough, I haveGreg Bell joining me, who can speak
to more of that. Oh gosh, there's a killed deer out here too.
Yeah, yeah, you know, killed deer. Yeah, I do
not know what that little bigger thana robin. I did not know that.

(37:20):
Oh they're very beautifully color. Okay, I can't. I can't do
this. You're like, well,I'm talking to soft look a squirrel.
Oh yeah, so I'm like that. Out here. We saw six pould
eagles the other day. It wasamazing for adults. Too mature for adults,
four adults at once. I thoughtthey were more territorial than that.
But yeah, all right, WellI'm excited about this, Jess, you're

(37:42):
driving the show. Yeah, yeah, So I apologize for were the steering
into an embankment, which will inevitablyhappen within twenty minutes you listen to in,
I mean, what are you whatare you gonna complain about in the
first twenty minutes about because too hot? It's too because usually he's got it's
too hot, I am slightly sweatyemails. Oh yeah, he's had some

(38:07):
rocos A late. Oh my goodness. But yeah no, don't follow me
on Twitter. It's some NFT takeover. He's gonna get that situated. It's
probably the best thing that's ever happenedto him. So we got Greg Bell
stopping on by What else do youguys got playing for the two hours from
For the two o'clock hour? It'sactually this really special hour that we have

(38:28):
recorded, so I'll be completely transparentabout that. But it's with Doug Baldwin,
Cliff April, and Michael Bennett. We have them in studio recently and
it is, um just a reallyfantastic listen. They tell a lot of
stories about you know, their SuperBowl run, the transition from the NFL
to you know, being a familyguy. Each one of them has families

(38:49):
with children and uh, and there'ssome really funny stuff. I definitely had
to go in and bleep some thingsout. So from two to three you
will get that in your ear holes. And it is all revolving around their
compilation on Champions of Change, whichis an event taking place at Climate Pledge

(39:10):
Arena. It's a basketball event andthat is on June twenty third. So
um, I just really think thelisteners will enjoy that more than my rambling.
I think they're gonna enjoy you aswell. For the next hour I'm
going to hear about that. Yeah, I'm gonna enjoy it. Maybe you
won't, but I will, andeverybody else will. Jasmine McIntyre coming appreciate

(39:31):
that. Greg Bell will stop onby live there from the Seahawks training facility
at Mini Camp. All right,we'll see you tomorrow as always. We
will probably be better. No shirt, no shoes. I do think your

(39:53):
