Is it fair to compare this year's Seahawks team to that of 2012? There are signs, as the Seahawks take on the Rams this weekend and are both tied for first place in the NFC West in the middle of November. We can actually watch a great football game without being stressed about the postseason implications tied to the results. Corbin Smith, Emerald City Spectrum joins Ian for a preview of the Seahawks and Rams this weekend and it's a true juggernaut vs. juggernaut on Sunday. It would be great to have Jarran Reed, but this will be a true litmus test for Seattle's offensive line. In The Daily Power Play, we get some health updates from Mike Benton, who spoke to Coach Lambert today - plus some words from Brandon Montour on the shooters' mentality on this team. Brandon Funston, The Athletic joins Ian to kick off the unofficial start of the weekend and gets you ready for your fantasy football matchups! Speaker 2 (01:16):
He'll join us at two o'clock this weekly visit. It's
the unofficial start of the weekend. You guys know the drill.
Your texts come in right at one o'clock, four nine
four or five to one, not a second before. If
you send it before four nine four five one, you
may want to send it again because there's a lot
of people that come in at fifty nine, fifty eight,
fifty nine fifty seven, stuff like that too.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
Bulls today and.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I'm gonna two bowls, I say, I like it. I
was seven with one second. I was talking to Shockey
yesterday because we used his name in Vain on the
show and he had moles up here. He calls me
and says, what's going on here? You're using my name?
I said, well, just you and your heavy sigh. Everybody
knows you. Saw you just I said, do you still sigh?
You're the bost guy anyway? He Uh, he's the one

(01:57):
that came up with that rule. We just invoke it
and we've we've carried that over. We get so many
texts that's got to come in right at one o'clock
or after phone calls as well, two six, two eight, six,
ninety five, ninety five we'll start taking calls just usually
starts getting calls around one forty five.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
So for the day, way that's that. I mean, sometimes
it's not like one twenty. I'm like, so I did
I did a homework with MJ. We're talking about this.
So in cross Stock we're talking about like and he
mentioned this, and do God wrote a great story in
the Athletic about the biggest game, you know for the
Seahawks regular season since and we could all fill in
the blanks. So I went back and I told him,
I said, you know, one of the things that was

(02:29):
huge for this team in terms of uh, in terms
of games, there's been a couple back and I'll use
this term Jess back in the day.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
Back in the day would be you know the twenty twelve,
twenty thirteen, fourteen, twenty fifteen run that they had with
Pete Carroll. And I'll ask you this, do you remember
twenty twelve much at all because that because there's been
a lot of comparisons for this team to the twenty
twelve team.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
I do, okay, because remember how far they went and
it was unexpected.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Yeah, they got to the second round. They won the
wildcard game in Washington against RG three, and then later
he got hurt. It was Kirk Cousins. They won that game,
and then they went to Atlanta and lost in the
Old Georgia Dome on a last second field goal. But
to get there, And I pointed this out to MJ
because he says, ah, do you meant like it was
at twenty sixteen as big as it was, It wasn't

(03:25):
as big because it's two teams in first place. But
December second, twenty twelve, they went to Chicago. I brought
this game up a lot over the years because I
think it was really the springboard game for what became
of the next two plus years. The week before was
Thanksgiving week as a Saturday or Sunday, they went to
Miami on November twenty fifth. They lost twenty four to
twenty one to Miami. It's a game with the sprinklers

(03:47):
came on during the middle of the game. Do you
remember that?

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Definitely?

Speaker 2 (03:51):
At that point they dropped to six and five. So
they're six and five, they're reeling, and they're going to Chicago,
a good good Bears team, by the way, then a
good Bears team. They play an early game ten o'clock
Pacific time that was before they were rolling teams at
ten o'clock in the Pacific time zone. They go to

(04:11):
Chicago and they win twenty three to seventeen in overtime.
And if you remember that game, Russ let him down
the field. They take the lead late, but Jay Cutler
was a quarterback, completes a long pass, and who's the kicker,
Robbie the clown that was at the forty nine ers
for a while, Oh tell me his name. Robbie Gold

(04:34):
hits like a fifty plus yarder in December in Soldier Field.
They go to overtime. Russ gets the ball first, takes
him down the field. Sydney Rice gets concussed going into
the end zone. They win that game twenty three to seventeen.
Russ was Russ that day, took the old you know,
training wheels off, so to speak, and then they go

(04:56):
Then this is what they did the rest of the
next three weeks fifty eight nothing against Arizona, fifty to
seventeen in Toronto against Buffalo forty two thirteen against the
forty nine ers. That was the next three weeks that
just boom, and then they had to beat the Rams
at home last game of the year. They do so

(05:16):
twenty thirteen, they get in the playoffs with eleven to
five record. Win those two games, and that was the
springboard to what became. But as I mentioned to MJ
when we talked about big games for this team in
twenty thirteen, they had to beat the Rams the last
week of the season to get the number one overall
seed in the NFC, and they did twenty seven to nine.
But they had to beat the Rams otherwise they wouldn't

(05:37):
have hosted the forty nine ers in that playoff game
in Seattle. In the NFC Championship game, they wouldn't have
so they had to win that game. Twenty fourteen, it
was the same scenario, except for they beat the Rams
again Saint Louis twenty to six and twenty fourteen, the
final game of the year. They had to win that
game to have home field advantage over the Cowboys or
the packers in the NFC, and they did so they

(06:01):
there was a stretch there and I'm then games later
twenty sixteen to get in the playoffs, et cetera, all
those things. They've had really big games, but most of
these games have come at the end of the season
or so deep or deep enough into the season where
you better win out to get into the postseason, like
in twenty twelve. Yes, this is a different beast. This

(06:22):
is a This is like big dogs playing number one
versus number two in college football to maybe get a
first round by the College Football playoff or whatever would be.
That's a good comparison. This is a huge game, But
they've had other big games. You know, Pete and his
staff never had the luxury in weeks in the week

(06:42):
seventeen games, the final games of the year back in
the sixteen game schedule, the week seventeen games. They never
had a luxury in twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, even I
don't think to ever rest guys, they were always playing
for something in the final week of the year. In fact,
I remember doing a story on Fox thirteen at one
point about how and it was probably around twenty nineteen ish,
where every single year except for the only year they

(07:04):
didn't have this up until that point. Every year with
Pete Carroll except for twenty eleven. Every single year except
for twenty eleven, and they finished seven and seven and nine.
That year they didn't make the playoffs. They went to Arizona.
By then it was over. They weren't in the playoffs
every other year, including when they went seven to nine
and got to the playoffs. In twenty ten. Pete Carroll
Seahawks played a massive game the final week of the year.

(07:26):
Sometimes they needed help with somebody else, yep, but every
time they had to win. So it's kind of crazy
that that was. But it's always been the last game.
This is unique on Sunday. This is a unique game
on Sunday. We get to sit back and it's and
kind of just sit back and enjoy an incredible, high
stakes regular season matchup. That's fun. That's what sports are about.

(07:49):
And you know, college has kind of these types of
games every week. If you're you know, a big time
college football program, you have these every week. Georgia Alabama
Happs has been all the year right now, Michigan, Ohiose
State later in the year. But you know, Indiana plays
as playing big games every week. It feels like for
the last two years in the Big Ten. But you

(08:10):
get my point. These games happen in college football middle
of the season. They don't often happen in the NFL
at this level, at least, we haven't seen him here
for a while. And with Division fos as well. You know,
you look around. Let me just take a quick peek.
I'm gonna guess. Let's see, I'm gonna guess around the
NFL right now. Jess Eagles have a two game lead

(08:34):
Detroit and Chicago or todde six and three, but do
we really believe Chicago's contender? Maybe whatever. Tampa Bay's got
a two game lead in the lost column. Denver has
a two game lead over Kansas City. The Chargers are
a game back, so that's sort of close. Indianapolis running
away with the South. Nobody cares about the NFC North

(08:55):
because they're all bad. And New England may have a
big game coming up because they're eight and two. Buffalo
is six and three right behind them games one game
back but two games back. In the win calumn, you
don't see these games out off in the NFL. With
two teams tied up top the division, tied as top
the conference seven to two. What an awesome, awesome game
this is going to be. And the best thing is

(09:15):
I told my guys a weekly hit I do up
in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. A. It'll probably sound like
a bowl game like neutral sight because so far is
never a home field advantage truly for the Rams, except
for when they're playing music and the PA announcers screaming
at the top of his lungs. He's the worst. He
is the worst. I hope Softy goes there because Softy

(09:37):
time not going down there. I hope he goes down
there because you'll see a thousand tweets from him. It'll
drive him nuts. It will drive him bananas, couldn't he
he puts Softy well, First of all, this guy has
a has a PA system at his disposible pipes. It's
kind of a human PA system in a sense.

Speaker 6 (09:52):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Corbin Smith joins the Stock Hall Thinks Seahawks.

joined us right now. Hello sir, how are you?

Speaker 8 (10:53):
I'm good, Ian, Thanks for having me as always.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
All right, buddy, Let's get to it. Let's get to it.
Big game this weekend, Big big game this weekend. I
was talking to our midday guy m J and the
Midday and you know, we're kind of going over some
of the big games this team has had, and I
went back to you know, twenty twelve they had to
win out after losing at Miami, they had to win

(11:16):
out and win the final six games. They did. They
got on a roll after the overtime win in Chicago,
but they had went out to get in the playoffs
thirteen and fourteen, they had to win the final games
of the year to have the number one seed in
the NFC and home field advantage, which they obviously used
their advantage getting the Super Bowl those two years. There's
been other games along the way. This one feels different
and unique to me, Corbyn, because it's not a last
game of the year, or it's not a hey, you

(11:38):
have to win this game to get in, or even
you have to win out to get in. This is
who's the big dog on the block middle of the season.
Let's establish ourselves right now in division, not against another
NFC team or something like that, an in division with
the two best teams maybe in the NFC playing in
the same division. This just feels different than some of
the big games in the past.

Speaker 8 (12:00):
It really feels in like when the forty nine Ers
and Seahawks were playing in twenty twelve and twenty thirteen.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yeah, that's what it feels.

Speaker 8 (12:08):
Like to me. It's the the two junkyard dogs with
tons of talent quarterbacks slinging it all over the place.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Lose Cormyn there for a second.

Speaker 8 (12:23):
Yeah, something's something weird is going on. I heard some noise,
But can you hear me?

Speaker 2 (12:28):
I got you, we got you, we got You're all good?
Fire away, okay?

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Perfect? Yeah.

Speaker 8 (12:31):
So yeah, it feels like the forty nine Ers and
Seahawks games back in twenty twelve and twenty thirteen.

Speaker 5 (12:38):
Me.

Speaker 8 (12:39):
But I think the other reason that I'm seeing that
parallel is those two years, more so twenty thirteen. But
the Seahawks were trying to fight and the ram or
the forty niners were trying to fight for the number
one seed too. They were trying to get a bye.
And right now this game, whoever wins this one, it
doesn't mean that you're going, i know, clinch the NFC West.

(13:02):
Obviously you're not going to There's a lot of season
left to play. But this is a massive game, especially
now with there only being one by with the new
playoffs structure, this is a massive game for both these teams.
If you're wanting to get that week off in January
to rest up, this is a game that is going
to loom large there. So not just in the NFC West,

(13:24):
but the NFC standings where both these teams very much
are in the hunt to get that top seed in
the conference.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, that second game in twenty thirteen, the Seahawks came
in at ten and two, the forty nine Ers came
in at nine and three. In Seattle won that game,
or sessis Go won that game nineteen nineteen seventeen, So
I mean that was a huge, huge game. I mean,
they're just it's I think the point is it's an
inner division game right between two absolute, right now super

(13:52):
Bowl contenders, and we just I went around the rest
of the league and I don't think we have that
ability this year to have this type of game. I mean,
win in Buffalo. Certainly New England's leading that division. Okay,
nobody in the NFC North is relevant. NFC South Indianapolis
running away, Denver, La, Kansas City battling out in the
AFC West, but there's not like a true I mean,

(14:13):
Denver has the best record, right, there's nothing there. NFC East,
Philadelphie's running away. Maybe you can make the argument Detroit Chicago,
but is Chicago really a contender? Corbin This is like
the only division that really has two contenders in the
same division trying to win a division, trying to get
home field advantage, and the other team's gonna end up
being a wild card and that's no fun.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
Well, but there's no fun for the teams that have
to host them either, Like you're you're the number you know,
if you're the five seed and you're the number four,
that you're like, well, I got a home game.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Oh great, I get to play Mike.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
McDonald's road Warriors, or I get to play Matthew Stafford.
And so obviously you want to get the home game
you want to have, especially when you're in contention for
that top seed. But you know, going to your with
the other divisions, there might be some others that are
gonna be interesting, but there is not another division that's
got two teams tied for first that are both in

(15:09):
the top five in scoring offense and scoring defense. The
Seahawks and Rams both are in the top five, and
so there's just it's a different level. It's a different
level of bullies that are gonna be going up against
each other than what you're gonna be seeing if if
Chicago plays against Detroit, you know, I'm still not sold
on Chicago. I mean, they won a game barely against

(15:31):
the Giants coming back this last weekend, really struggled against
the h They gave up forty something points to Joe
Flaco and the Bengals, and the only reason they won
that game because the Bengals defense can't stop a pee
wee League offense. I mean, it's I just don't think
there's another division that has two teams in the top
that are playing the way these two teams are playing,
and so it is truly gonna be Juggernaut versus Juggernaut.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
On a quick side note, can you imagine if San
Francisco is healthy, like you have arguably the three best
teams in the NFC all on the same division, if
they were healthy, right, if Warner wasn't out and all
these guy youth wasn't out. I mean, you go through
the list, they might be the best dam team, but
they're just decimated by injuries. Corbyn Smith's joining us here,
all right. You wrote about the quarterbacks today Animal City Spectrum,

(16:14):
and you know I hear a lot of Drake May
Matt Stafford for MVP. You kind of alluded to it
is Sam Donald really an MVP candidate.

Speaker 8 (16:22):
Oh, he absolutely is, I think especially when you consider,
I know, the touchdown differential. I mean, Matthew Stafford is
kicking everybody's butt in the touchdown ratio.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
But you look at some.

Speaker 8 (16:33):
Of the numbers in terms of I mean, Sam Donald
is averaging nine point nine yards per attempt this year,
Like that is like video game numbers.

Speaker 4 (16:42):
At this stage of the season.

Speaker 8 (16:44):
So it's not like he is just dinking and Duncan
the dude has been absolutely lights out of it. And
you read the article, I'm sure, but I pointed this out.
There are ten quarterbacks right now in the NFL that
are that have had a certain number of yards or
the top ten yards for deep balls, and nine of

(17:07):
those ten quarterbacks are forty four percent or lower for accuracy.
Sam donalds at seventy tent Yes, Like that's just again
that looks like, okay, did somebody, did somebody make a typo?
But it's not a typo. He is he has just
been on a different stratosphere with these deep balls, even

(17:27):
compared to Matthew Stafford, who's got really good numbers, but
like Sam Donald's completed thirty percent more of those passes
downfield what than what Stafford has. So I think he
is very much and I think you can look at
the supporting cast. I think Seattle's got a really nice
set of skill players, but Matthew Stafford's got Puga Nakua

(17:48):
and Devonte Adams. Yeah, so I think Sam Donald has
done a little bit more with less this year. So
to me, those two quarterbacks, and I think Baker Mayfield
has to be in that DISCUSSI Drake may I feel
like those four quarterbacks have been at a different playing
level than everybody else this year.

Speaker 2 (18:06):
Corvin Smith brought to by sold by Jim dot com
with two MS sold by Jim two ms dot com.
Go ahead and check that out if you're looking for
a real estate agent in our area. My favorite term
is big time throws. And when you can put in
all caps big time throws in an article, I'm all
in tell folks about what the big time throws, what
it is, and what these two guys are doing.

Speaker 8 (18:26):
Yeah, the big Time Throws metric. Look, there's certain things
with PFF that aren't a big deal to me, Like
I really could not care less about the great aspect.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
I just don't at this point.

Speaker 8 (18:39):
But the big time throws they are measuring. It's difficult throws,
particularly downfield, that have like a low completion expectation that
these guys are able to hit on. And right now
you've got first and second place for big time throws.
Matthew Stafford's got twenty three, Sam Donald's got twenty two.

(19:01):
They've basically been identical. And the thing that was kind
of jaw dropping for me ian looking at the deep passes,
the throws that go twenty plus yards. Stafford's got the
most of the league. He's got eighteen. Donald's got sixteen.
But Donald has a fourteen point one percent big time throw.
I mean we're talking more than one out every ten

(19:22):
throws on those deep balls is a big time throw.
He's done all that on twenty I thieve he's twenty
nine attempts. Matthew Staffords had forty seven attempts of that distance,
and Donald's almost equaled him. So the argument I'm making
here is even though Matthew Stafford, I'm his numbers are phenomenal,
but Sam donald is truly he is on his own

(19:44):
playing field right now. When it comes to the downfield
vertical passing game, nobody's doing it.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Better and it's not close.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
All right, let's talk about the advantages and disadvantages. We'll
start with Seattle's defense, Mike McDonald against Stafford in that offense.
What do you see?

Speaker 8 (20:00):
Well, I think the one thing that really jumps out
when you watch the Rams the way they've played this year.
What a job they have done building that offensive line
to protect Matthew Stafford. So many of the games that
I've watched, is anybody getting close to him? Like, doesn't
seem like you're breathing on. He's been sacked more than
what Sam Darnold has this year, but it's a very

(20:21):
close margin there, and the Rams have just done such
a good job of keeping him clean and giving him
time to be able to get the ball to his
litany of weapons on the outside. So I'm looking to
that interior o line for the Rams. Dodson has become
a really good player for them. They brought back Coleman Shelton,
a Washington guy. They brought him back at center and

(20:43):
he's having a good season. And they got Steve a
Vila at the other guard spot. I mean that has
turned into a strength for this team. They're going to
be going up against arguly the best interior defensive line
they've faced, though Leonard.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
Williams, Byer Murphy.

Speaker 8 (20:57):
Even without Jared Reed, I think Mike Morris played well
last week. Brandon Peele, He's done some nice things. Seattle
can rotate some of their edge guys around the line.
That to me is where this game is gonna be
one or loss. Can Seattle get pressure with their front
four against that interior offensive line for the Rams, because
if they can, if they can get Stafford off of

(21:19):
his comfort zone, which teams have not been able to
do consistently at his age, you get a bunch of
hits on him, you got to wonder about how his
body's gonna hold up. And he's just not a guy
that moves the way they used to. So I think
that is going to be what wins or loses this
game from a Seahawks defensive stamps.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
How much are they gonna have to rely on the
depth guys you mentioned. I mean, we know what Murphy
and Leonard Williams are doing this season. I mean those
guys have been sensational. Morris is just kind of a
guy that's done okay, been you know here for a
few years, and at times gets no snaps and all
the times, all of a sudden they're leaning on him.
But tell what about the Brandon Peeles and the Quinton
Bohannas of the world. How reliant will Seattle be on

(21:57):
those guys and how confident are you they can hold
up against this team?

Speaker 8 (22:01):
Yeah, you know, I think you know, it's one of
those things we're not having Jaron Reied. You obviously be
better off had Jaron Reed available in this game, and
he said some really good games against the Rams in
his career. But I'm confident that the Seahawks can find
a way to make this work with the guys that
they have there, They're not gonna have as many players there.
I am wondering if Jared and he plays this week

(22:22):
he didn't play this last week. At some point you're
gonna need another guy that could really get to the
quarterback and has the ability to play inside and out.
And Ivy showed some things in the preseason and Trendkip,
he just hasn't had very many opportunities. I'm wondering if
this could be a game that we see him. I
thought he was gonna play last week and he was
inactive as healthy scratch. So we'll see what Seattle choose

(22:42):
to do against this opponent. But I am wondering, with
some of those broader, big body guys the Rams having
the interior, do you want to have another guy that
has some twitch, has some penetrating ability that you can
rotate in that Maybe last week he has Arizona, who's
got more athletic guys in the interior, we're looking for
some mass. I'm wondering if that changes maybe a little bit,

(23:03):
how they.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Deploy their rotation this week.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Defensively, that's okay. So look on the other side of
the bass, Sam Darnold against the really stout I think
kind of under us appreciated, underestimated defense of the Rams.
What do you see?

Speaker 8 (23:19):
Well, the one thing that worries me going into this
game from a Seattle perspective dealing with that front line
for the Rams, in particular on the left side, that's
where they like to play. Jared Versus and Braden Fisk. Now,
those statistically have not been as good this year, particularly,
but Braiden fiscally has one sack and three quarterback hits.

(23:40):
But the film still paints a picture that the guy
is a disruptor.

Speaker 4 (23:44):
He and Verse worked together.

Speaker 8 (23:45):
Those guys played at Florida State, so they've had that
camaraderie before coming to the NFL.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
Those two guys.

Speaker 8 (23:52):
And then you've course got to worry about on the
other side. Byron Young is a guy that's twitchy, that
can get upfield as well. They've got a lot of
talent on that front line. This is gonna be a
great litmus test for Seattle's offensive line, and in particular,
I'm looking at Gray's Abel and Charles Cross having to
deal with Versu and Fisk in this game. Can they

(24:13):
keep those two consistently away from Sam Darnald. That is
gonna be key because I think they can have time
for Donald. The Rams cornerback situation. They're twenty seventh in
the league in terms of EPA allowed to number one
receivers like Jackson Smith and Jigbuss. Should be able to
get a lot of big plays against this team. But

(24:34):
there's gotta be time to be able to do that.
And the Rams defensive line, as we over the years,
they have done a great job scheming to wreck things
against Seattle. I'm looking at that left side of the
line in particular, how are they gonna hold up against
that defensive front, that can they give Sam Darnald time to.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Throw the football two more quick things all the Timmy
steps in for Sundal. I'm one and maybe I'm wrong.
I don't think they lose a lot there. What do
you think?

Speaker 8 (24:58):
I don't think that it's a big drop off. I
think they're different kind of players. I wonder if this
means the run game is gonna be a bigger emphasis
this weekend because Ol Timmy was playing it up in
the second half last week against the Cardinals. That's more
his bread and butter. We didn't get to see very
many pass protecting reps, though, How is he gonna hold
up against the interior studs that the Rams have? Where

(25:21):
you're gonna wonder maybe the athleticism of sun Dell might
have been a better fit in that regard.

Speaker 4 (25:26):
That's gonna be the question mark.

Speaker 8 (25:27):
But I do wonder if that means, Hey, we're gonna
pivot a little more to the run game, because with
Ol Timmy in the lineup, we may be able to
win more at the point of attack and be able
to get things going.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
In that regard.

Speaker 8 (25:38):
That kind of adds an intriguing wrinkle to look at
in this game.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Final thing, Rashid Shihed Week two. What do you want
to see from him?

Speaker 8 (25:45):
I just want to see more opportunities. Everybody can say
one catch for three yards. I mean they threw the
ball thirteen times last week.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yes, they're gonna have to throw more than that this week,
I think it's safe to say, right.

Speaker 8 (25:54):
Absolutely, So, I'm hoping to see a couple of times
where they take some shot play and I'm hoping to
see some of those jet sweeps and stuff sprinkled in there.
I loved how they were accentuating their run game with him,
and I think that is something they're going to be
doing moving.

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Forward because of his skill set.

Speaker 8 (26:11):
He's got some Percy Harvin In's game and luckily does
not have the personality to the table. So I'd like
to see them get the ball in his hands at
least five or six times in this game so that
you can start having that complimentary piece to go with
Jackson Smith and.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Jigba Seahawk fans. That's the voice of one Corbyn Smith
Emerald City Spectrum. And if you're a Seahawk fan and
you can't get enough about this game this week, there's
one place to go Emeral Cityspectrum dot com. Tell folks

the weekend at the top of the hour at two
o'clock with Brandon Funston. All coming up on ninety three
point three kJ RFM, be your alo back for Newman.

Speaker 7 (28:04):
This is the daily power play Hockey Baby on your
home for the.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Kraken Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ r f M,
Seattle Crack. The Daily power Play is brought to you
by Sakwahonda Caboda. The log just inventory of Caboda equipment
in Kane County. Now your daily look at the National
Hockey League and the Seattle Kraken with the infants.

Speaker 8 (28:35):
Plaine just noting the last couple of days here, Joey
back on ice, Freddie back on ice.

Speaker 6 (28:39):
How encouraged are you with their progress right now?

Speaker 5 (28:41):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (28:41):
Really encouraged Freddy. You know, Freddy, he's getting real close.
And Joey's day to day uh you know. So, you know,
we'll see where he continues or how he progresses from here,
but the fact that he's on the ice is a
positive sign.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Mike Ben today with Lane Lambert as the Crack can
get ready to host the Winnipeg Just to Night three thirty,
three thirty s right, six thirty pre games, seven o'clock
drop of the puck here in your home for the
Kracking nine three point three k TERFM Winnipeg. Last year's
President's Trophy winner means they had the best record in
the regular season in the NHL. Last year, they had
the best goalie in the NHL. Last year. He's back,
Connor Hallibuck. He's expected to start tonight for Seattle. We'll

(29:19):
see who goals in goal for the Kracking. Will it
be Matt Murray again or they go back to Philip
Grubauer tonight to give him a chance. With Joey to
Court still on the angu list. Bigger issue for Seattle
is scoring goals. Scoring goals?

Speaker 8 (29:32):
Do you have?

Speaker 2 (29:33):
Is it Laine Lambert talking about goal scoring or lack
thereof Brandon on tour? What do they need to do
to get the puck in the back of the net.

Speaker 10 (29:40):
My mindset, I think I'm shoot first, regardless. You know,
if there's an open guy wide open. But it's I
mean again, from the blue line, it's tough. You know,
necessarily you just want traffic to the net, So I
think our ability, you know, we need traffic. A lot
of goals are scored in those those little areas close.

Speaker 11 (29:55):
To the nets.

Speaker 10 (29:55):
So I think you just take an example of wins
carts and Misy. Last time they played well, they created
a lot, but they're taking it to the net. We
obviously don't have much of that lately, but we've got
to kind of hard to kind of follow that, and
you know, you.

Speaker 4 (30:12):
Gotta it's gonna hurt, it's gonna be hard, but.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
You know it's got to be a rewarding Carts and
Misy would be Ty Kartsch and Ben Myers. By the way,
Ryan Winterton the third member of that line. The good
news is that's your fourth line and they're creating more
offense than anybody else, more shot quality, more everything. The
bad news is your fourth line is your best line
right now. Love those guys, man, they play hard. Set

(30:39):
the tone. If your fourth line is your best line
in the NHL, you're not scoring and they're not. They
have nine goals in the first period this year. Just
for a little context, the Krack can have two players
with eleven points to lead the way, Jordan Eberley and
Jay and Schwartz. Both have eleven points. Both have five
goals and six assists. Nobody else has double digit points.

(31:00):
Of the Kraken Winnipeg Jets, they have five guys with
fourteen or more points.

Speaker 4 (31:06):
They just.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Someone's got to put the puck in the net. Shoot
the puck.

Speaker 6 (31:12):
Shoot, shoot. I can hear the shoot.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
They've been really good defensively. Power play looks better, but
it's gotta get going. It's just it's an exercise and frustration.
They should have blown the doors off of Columbus the
other night team playing on the second half of a
back to back, team that was battling a flu bug
rolled in and they got to Seattle at twelve forty
five at night, the night before, the day that day of.

(31:39):
I guess come on and tonight will be hard. I
think this team, honestly, it just we'll see you tonight.
I feel like they play up and down to the competition.
They beat Winnipeg earlier this year. Three nothing in Winnipeg
that doesn't happen, So I think they play up and
they play down, so they're gonna have to play up
in big time. I'm up tonight. If they don't win,

(32:01):
all blame goes to Benton. His fault one hundred percent
all on bet This is a Betton game. They win,
it's him, they lose, it's him. I'm putting all the
pressure on Betton.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
No, no pressure cap.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Worst thing is if he hears that, what do you mean?

Speaker 6 (32:15):
Not all? We love you?

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Mikey six thirty pre game seven o'clock drop of the pucket.
Mike Benton then turns it over to Al and Fits
for the play by play starting at seven pm at
night Crack and then host San Jose on Saturday as well. Okay,
that means, by the way, Thursday night football moves over
to the AM dial tonight.

Speaker 11 (32:34):
Correct, that is correct.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
I gotta see what game is that? Hang on, hang on,
he asked himself. Stay with me.

Speaker 4 (32:42):
Oh that's right.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
This was a less than stellar affair. Jets and Patriots.
Your Jets have to be banned from primetime. Nobody wants
to watch that team in primetime. You know what I mean?
That's a good thing. Watch the Cracking tonight on the
Crack and Hockey Network, or listen over a nine to fifty.

Speaker 6 (32:57):
All right, there you go.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Okay, it's time. It's time, Jess, it is time. The
weekend will begin moments from now. You guys know the
drill two O six two eight six ninety five ninety five.
Two oh six two eight six ninety five ninety five,
call right now, get on the line two oh six
two eight six ninety five ninety five Brandon Funston the

(33:20):
unofficial start of the weekend. Your text as well at
four nine four five to one, All Things Fantasy. It's
our weekly segment. We'll talk to Brandon Funston next. Now
from the Star Rentals Sports Tests your ninety three point
three KJRFMS sports Headlines headlines brought to you by Frostbrewed

(33:41):
cors Light Choose Chill. Not often we start with MLS news,
but we do today. A couple of things breaking in
the world of MLS. They just announced to the Board
of Governors in Major League Soccer that they are going
to align with international soccer calendar. They're shifting the regular
season to a summer to spring campaign, starting not this year,
not in twenty but twenty two, only seven twenty twenty seven.

(34:01):
They're going to start that, so they go basically align
with the rest of the soccer world season would start
in July, run through the spring. Decision day MLS cup
et cetera finishing up in May, and then the world's
shortest offseason. College football has the longest offseason. MLS has
the shortest off season of all sports. Also, they're coming

(34:21):
out from behind the paywall on Apple. Someone just gained
common sense at the MLS in the last twenty four hours. Weird,
very strange, all right. MLB Awards tonight. Cal Raley will
he win the al MVP, will find out Softy and
Fame will have that caring live and we'll hopefully hear
some good news today around three o'clock crack in Winnipeg tonight.

(34:43):
We just told you about that six to thirty pre
game seven o'clock drop of the puck. Sounds like Benton's
on location for post games, so if you want to
go heckle him, he'll be at Tom's afterwards chowing down
some nachos or something. Say hi to them hopefully after
a win. Again, If they win, all credit to Benton.
If they lose, all blame to Benton. You go see
him afterwards doing the postgame show. Washington State looking for
a new athletic director. We told you yesterday a McCoy

(35:05):
is out. They also signed a new TV deal the
PAC twelve with USA Sports. So USA Sports, CW and
CBS are their TV partners moving ahead all over the air,
which is a good thing. And away we go. It's
the unofficial start of the weekend right now. Funston all
already and my friend.

Speaker 12 (35:19):
I'm just popping some popcorn getting ready for the Big
Jets New England game to start the start the week
eleven s late.

Speaker 4 (35:25):
What a what a way to kick things off, right.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
They go with the big market of New York. But
my question would be, does any anyone in New York
even care?

Speaker 12 (35:34):
Seriously, everybody's excited about Jamis Winston on the you know,
the other the other half of New York.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yes, yes, which I'm sure we'll have questions on him. Hey,
real quick, I didn't hit this in the headlines. Lamar
Jackson did practice fully today, which is a big thing
in the fantasy world.

Speaker 12 (35:47):
Correct, Yeah, I don't know if it was fully. He's
supposed to be Okay, I'm sure they're just limiting him.
He'll probably be limited most weeks going forward. Yes, but
he's gonna play all right here. We got two six
two eight six ninety five ninety five. Where to start?
Where to start. Well, let's give this guy go.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
Mike and Edmunds. You're on the phone. Hi, Mike, how
are you? Oh hey, thanks guys, what's up Mike?

Speaker 13 (36:11):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (36:12):
Brandon?

Speaker 7 (36:12):
What do you got buddy? How you doing?

Speaker 13 (36:15):
And I'm counting on the voters to do the right thing.
Give it to col today.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Okay, we all are, but I'm not sure if that's
going to happen, but yes, go ahead.

Speaker 13 (36:23):
Yep, I agree, all right? Week eleven full PPR. Just
need one of these three guys from our flex position Quinn,
Shawn Judkins, Stefan Diggs or John Jennings and thanks as always.

Speaker 12 (36:38):
Oh, some good choices there. I'd probably go Judkins, Diggs
and Jennings just in that order. It's probably h you know,
you probably put him in that order subconsciously for a reason,
so I think you stick with that.

Speaker 4 (36:50):
Stick with that order, right there.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Chucks has been nice little revelation, hasn't he.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yeah, and Baltimore has been a pretty good matchup this year.

Speaker 12 (36:56):
But they they started to look like the old Baltimore
last week, so it's kind of up in the air
whether they're as much of a pushover as they were earlier.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
In the air all right, that opens up a line.
There you go two six two eight six ninety five
ninety five. Best way to get your questions answer? Jumple
the final phone line right now. You know who knows
that is the best way to get the questions answered.
Is this guy that was working two weeks ago. He
learned his lessons, set us his work schedule better. He's
down in t Town. It's an all American city. At
least that's what the sign says. Is you drive by
the Tacoma Dome, Ricky and Tacoma. What's up, Ricky?

Speaker 7 (37:27):
How's it going? Ladies? Gentlemen?

Speaker 2 (37:29):
What's coming on?

Speaker 7 (37:30):
Buddy?

Speaker 2 (37:30):
What do you got?

Speaker 6 (37:31):
All right?

Speaker 14 (37:31):
What's up?

Speaker 4 (37:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (37:32):
Brandon?

Speaker 15 (37:32):
Okay, I got half point PPR need two of the
best four here, Christian Watson, Michael Wilson, Jaden Higgins and
what's the name Sawn Tucker?

Speaker 5 (37:46):
You know?

Speaker 12 (37:47):
Yeah, Sean Tucker is hoping to split the carriers with Rashan.
Why don't think he's all the way there yet? Big
play Christian Watson beginning a bunch of them to crafts out.
There's been some bank receivers there, great matchup against the giants.
I want Watson one and you know what, Michael Wilson's probably.
I mean, if if any targets go anywhere else besides

(38:07):
Trey McBride, probably a good chance they're gonna go to
Michael Wilson this week with Marvin Harrison now with the appendicitis.

Speaker 4 (38:13):
So I like those two right off the top, Watson
and Wilson.

Speaker 2 (38:16):
All right, Uh, Ricky, at least you got your work
schedule figured out and you get your priorities in order.
Thank you for getting back to us this week, buddy,
Thank you.

Speaker 15 (38:23):
No problem.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
The Christian Watson funds and I had three different trade
proposals last night. I threw out there three or four
beers into the night. All of them included both Jordan
Love and Christian Watson. I want both those guys out.
They both yeah, I'm with you, They're not.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
I don't.

Speaker 12 (38:40):
I don't have them anywhere across the Actually, I do
have one team with a Jordan Love, but I wish
I didn't. I know, he's just he's brutal. Well, let's
see how this goes. Robin Beeryen, Hi, Rob, why in
the hell.

Speaker 14 (38:54):
Do I have to play against the guy who stores
the most points? So we're week to you.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Things are all. I think the stars and the moon
of the line funds and we're good. We're back to normal.
But things are good.

Speaker 4 (39:04):
That's been a Jonathan Taylor week.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Did you did you see j T or Hm last.

Speaker 7 (39:08):
Week at last week?

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Thank you very much?

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Yeah, yeah, that happens. That happens. All right, what do
you got, buddy.

Speaker 5 (39:16):
Up?

Speaker 8 (39:17):
Figure it out?

Speaker 4 (39:18):
Okay? Do I to go with Dak or Donald this week?
I have Dak a little bit ahead of Donald. Tough
matchup for Donald.

Speaker 12 (39:27):
Let's good pass rush there, and Dak's got the Vegas Raiders,
although they are a decent defense as I mentioned last week,
and they that kind of showed out.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
But bo Nix has been struggling anyways, But I.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Still like Dak against against Vegas. Why stress yourself out
doubly watching the game?

Speaker 16 (39:40):
Man?

Speaker 2 (39:40):
Having said Sam Donald? Right, all right, Rob and Berrien, Yeah,
if you woke up last week, Fundston, before we go
back to phones, there's people all across the country waking
up last week at like nine am, eight am, and
they look at OWT and they they're going against Jonathan Taylor,
and they basically were already done before the ten o'clock
game started.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
I know, I've been thinking about that.

Speaker 12 (39:59):
There's got to you like a term for you see
Jonathan Taylor and what he did, and then you have
to go to like all your six or whatever teams
you have and just start scrolling to see which which
team got hit by that bullet?

Speaker 2 (40:10):
Oh yeah, and then h N goes bananas like, holy small,
what a weird week? All right? Two six, two eight
sixty five ninety five. Let's go to Derek in Sultan.
What's up?

Speaker 4 (40:20):
Derek?

Speaker 17 (40:22):
Hey, Hey, guys, what's up? That was my That was
my tight end last week with Bowers. He won me
all my games and then lost me all my games
the week before.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
The hours was awful last week, he was awful last week.
Damn him? Yes, continue, yeah, feel your pain? What do
you got?

Speaker 11 (40:36):
Uh?

Speaker 14 (40:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 17 (40:37):
So I've got a good, a good problem right now, guys.
I got four really good running backs and only two spots,
so I need to start two of these and sit
too between Judkins, Aaron Jones, R. J. Harvey, and Woody Marks.

Speaker 12 (40:52):
Okay, so Judkins I have decidedly above the others, but
kind of all like right abound RB twenty. I have
our Harvey, Woody Marks and Aaron Jones is a Is
it a PPR league?

Speaker 17 (41:06):
PPR Yeah, I think I would.

Speaker 12 (41:08):
I would go ahead and roll at diceon RJ. Harvey
with JK. Dobbins out of there. I really would like
to see him. I think he's gonna get fifteen plus
touches and uh yeah, I'm interested in a potential big
play there.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
All right, there we go. We stay in beautiful Sultan Washington,
Steven and Sultan you're up next? What's up, Bud?

Speaker 5 (41:27):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (41:27):
Not much?

Speaker 7 (41:28):
Right over the mountains, just so I can be here.

Speaker 8 (41:30):
For this for today.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
That's what happens.

Speaker 13 (41:32):
I like this.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
There's guys that have to make this a priority. Steven,
you're one of them. We were messed up two weeks
ago because Ricky did not make us a priority and
we didn't have our Ricky and Tacoma fixed. We didn't
have him, so that was no good. But I appreciate
your effort. Thank you very much. What's your question?

Speaker 4 (41:48):
So we'll go off.

Speaker 16 (41:49):
Last week, By the way, I had Taylor and Gibz
that I want to give a.

Speaker 8 (41:52):
Hane and I still hold it out. So I got lucky.

Speaker 16 (41:55):
But I need old PPR one flex Millan Michael Wilson,
Cedric Watson, no Djoku or Andrews.

Speaker 4 (42:07):
Kristin Watson or In Djoku or Andrews or Andrews Mark Andrews. One.

Speaker 8 (42:14):
Yeah, just one out of those five.

Speaker 12 (42:16):
Yeah, I'm gonna go with Tet. He's just uh, TET
probably again, gonna started working that order.

Speaker 6 (42:22):
Tet.

Speaker 12 (42:23):
Actually go TET, and then Christian Watson, then Michael Wilson.
But I'm gonna go Tet, even with Bryce Young the
headwind that he has to work with there, and I
still like him the best.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
All right, perfect, there you go at Steven and Salton.
All right, I skipped over earlier. My apologies Chris and Berry,
and you're up next.

Speaker 18 (42:37):
What's up Chris sor Right, good afternoon, guys. I get
it from last week. I totally get it, and my
whole bench was on bas I figured I'd give that
shot to somebody else, full point PPR. Need one for
flex and it's.

Speaker 13 (42:53):
A lot of guys, A lot of them are fantastic.

Speaker 18 (42:57):
Travis NTM, Jordan Addison, Kareem Hunt, Jerry Judy, already questionable,
Xavier Worthy and you.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Need just one.

Speaker 12 (43:10):
Yeah, it's not the best matchup, but I would still
go with Travis Etn was passing the eye test every
week for me a lot earlier in the year. They're
talking about Baseial Tooton. Maybe encroaching on him hasn't happened.
Hes held him at bay and he's just he's the
guy that would he He's gonna get the most touches
of this group probably, So give me Etn.

Speaker 2 (43:28):
All right, perfect, My son will thank you for that
question too. He's got an ETM question. That's that solves
that one's perfect. All right, we go, Steven Shoreline. What's up, Steve?

Speaker 15 (43:37):
Okay, you probably can't believe I got these two quarterbacks,
but I got to pick one, Lamar Jackson and Matt Stafford.

Speaker 12 (43:46):
Yeah, well, I mean, why go with the quarterback going
against the Seahawks. I actually have Lamar Jackson ranked third.

Speaker 15 (43:53):
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
I have Stafford at eight this week. So there you go, Steve. Steve,
are you Seahawk fan.

Speaker 6 (44:02):
Of course?

Speaker 2 (44:02):
Yeah, then just do what Brenton said, like you just.

Speaker 11 (44:05):
No reason leading that way leaning that way anyway?

Speaker 2 (44:10):
Yeah, the numbers tell you one thing, and your heart
says the same thing. That's the stars of the moon
a line at that point Duly and Seattle. You're up next?

Speaker 7 (44:17):
What's up?

Speaker 19 (44:19):
Hey, how you guys doing man? Thanks for having me.

Speaker 13 (44:21):
I have a trade question.

Speaker 19 (44:24):
Perfect, So yeah, so I have I have a I
have a good I have a lot of good running backs.
So my I got s kwon, I have, I have
a brief brief hall and I got I have a
trade offer on my books right now. They want to
take my Jalen Warren, who would be my fourth running

(44:47):
back with eat and still ahead of them, and uh,
I'm beginning a j Brown mm hmmm.

Speaker 12 (44:55):
I mean that's that's a fair deal, Kelly Bummer is
is they want Jalen Warren the week he's playing the
Cincinnati Bengals, and so if I'm not mistaken, they might
get the Bengals twice. But the Bengals are so bad
it's a huge Jalen Warren week. But and I would
play Jalen Warren over ETN this week. But yeah, I
mean for the long run, I have no issue with

(45:16):
that deal. If you need wide receiver help, that's a
that's a you know, you're you could even argue that's
a little bit of a better deal for you. But
Jalen warrens Jaylor warrens uh, you know it's pretty. It's
pretty on the level.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Well and and Dooley thanks for the phone calls.

Speaker 13 (45:30):
And A J.

Speaker 6 (45:30):
Brown.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
He's telling people on his twitch or whatever to drop
them off their fantasy teams. He's so frustrated right now,
right that means doesn't that mean he's gonna get the ball?
Like ten times?

Speaker 4 (45:38):
I'm just gonna say that. That's the classic squeaky wheel,
you know.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
All right, we had two more phone calls. I gotta
GETO some text. So Jordan had to call me. You're
the second to last guy. What do you got?

Speaker 14 (45:48):
Hey, guys, how are you doing? Thanks for kicking my call?
I got two quick questions. Trade question. It's a Fantasy
keeper League dynasty, Kay Adams is what I would get.
And I want to give up a first round for
next year and a third round next year, and then
I need a flex Mynung Guy Watson or Tyrone Tracy.

Speaker 4 (46:14):
You know, I might go.

Speaker 12 (46:15):
Ahead and go with Tyrone Tracy just because I think
it might be a decent PPR week for him against
Green Bay and so I like the upside there playing
catchup for the Giants. As far as the trade goes,
first round next year for Devonte Adams. How many years
I think you're kind of having to calculate how many

(46:35):
years you think DeVante Adams are going to be elite?
It's the rest of this year and maybe next year,
and so I third, Jordan, Yes, And.

Speaker 14 (46:46):
That's I kind of trying to hit it now before later.

Speaker 12 (46:51):
It's a go for it, you know, like I think
you're you're making this deal if you just think you
have a realistic chance of winning it. I wouldn't do
it if you think the perfect.

Speaker 14 (47:00):
I feel the next next year's draft class it's pretty weak,
so I'm willing to give up all my picks.

Speaker 12 (47:08):
And the other thing is, if you finish pretty high,
it's conceivable that your first round pick is going to
be towards the end of the first round.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
So good call, Yeah, yeah, perfect.

Speaker 12 (47:16):
You're not gonna You're not gonna miss out on a
on Omari and Hampton or a you know, an Ashton
gent In theory.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
But all right, overwhelmed with calls, so we'll get one more.
I gotta get to text Brandon, you're the last call.

Speaker 6 (47:27):
What he got?

Speaker 7 (47:28):
How's it going good? Buddy?

Speaker 20 (47:30):
Got an old school of fantasy league.

Speaker 15 (47:32):
This league's over forty years old.

Speaker 20 (47:34):
Touchdown only, I gotta bench one guy, Trevian Henderson, Devanta Adams,
George Pickens or Ramadh touchdown only.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
What this could?

Speaker 12 (47:47):
It could potentially we'll see Devanta Adams got an Avarey
didn't practice.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
I think he's gonna play, so.

Speaker 12 (47:52):
I'd probably bench romem a doonsay at Minnesota. It's a
pretty tough matchup, jay uh Caleb on It's we've seen
realm have these just like nothing nothing burger kind of weeks.
It's a little bit of a roller coaster, so I
feel better about the consistency of the other ones.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Beautiful. All right, let's hit the music, Jess. I'm in
four nine four five one, and I'm scrolling down because
I know we just told me. Oh yeah, yeah, oh yeah.
We've got two bulls eyes today. Two came in exactly
at thirteen zero zero zero zero, which is one o'clock
on our little military time text machine. Here here we go,

(48:31):
the first one three six oh full PPR. I'm seven
to two playing my seven to two commission son hole
in house battle dak or hurts.

Speaker 4 (48:40):
I have hurt fourth dak sixth go with Jalen hurt.

Speaker 2 (48:43):
He's got a second one. You're Bullseye. You get both
answered if possible. Need three swift flowers Pickens, Dobbs genty
so get rid of one Dobbs, thank you easy, Also
Bullsye need two of three full PPR. ETN what Marx
or David Montgomery need two of those.

Speaker 4 (49:03):
Let's go with ETN and Woody Mars.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Jamie from Allen probably listening on the iHeartRadio app maybe
listing on ninety three point three k r FM. Need
one of the flex Sutton, Judkins, Hall or Franklin need one.

Speaker 4 (49:19):
Did you say PPR?

Speaker 2 (49:20):
He didn't say.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
I got Breis Hall. You know what I switched. I'm
gonna go Judkins, Hall and Judkins are back to back
for me. But give me Judkins. Okay.

Speaker 2 (49:30):
That was one second after the other after the hour.
Also one fuss and your guys are unbelievable one second
after Need a miracle from two of these guys, please
full PPR. Michael Wilson, Calvin Austin, DJ Moore or Sterling
Shepard needs two of them.

Speaker 4 (49:45):
Let's go with.

Speaker 12 (49:47):
Let's go with Wilson and Austin. You know, let's just
go for the ceilings. Chase the big upside and Austin.
You know you wouldn't normally plan, but it's the Bengals.
He's the number two receiver for Pittsburgh. Why not go
for the ceiling there.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
It's gonna take a while to get through the one seconds.
It's unreal. Uh, Scott and Heelo Hawaii. I know you're
listening on the iHeartRadio app because you can't get us
all the way over Hawaii on the old stick. So
here we go.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Caleb Williams Jackson Dart full PPR.

Speaker 4 (50:11):
Yeah, I think Jackson Dart is out. In fact, I
know he's out.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
So Caleb Williams, all right, Hi, Brandon, need to buy
a week replacement for Daniel Jones. Options are McCarthy, Rogers,
Tua Gino or Flacco thank.

Speaker 4 (50:21):
You Rogers Chua, oh Man Gino.

Speaker 2 (50:24):
Or tell me it's McCarthy.

Speaker 4 (50:26):
Please, I'm gonna tell you it's it's Flacco.

Speaker 12 (50:29):
Jesus just got the just got the connection with Jamar
Chase man Ken undeniable.

Speaker 4 (50:35):
So Flaco is the guy, highest guy ever there. Let
me see, So who else was it?

Speaker 2 (50:39):
It was McCarthy, Rogers, Gino.

Speaker 12 (50:43):
Have all those guys stacked at the back to back
to back, but they want to have above them by
a bit.

Speaker 4 (50:49):
It's Flacco.

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah, super, all right? Once need two flex spots full PPR.
Hollins from New England, Yeah, and Wilson from as from Arizona, Austin.
The third from Pitt and Watson from Green Bay. I
like how he wrote that, need too, Wilson and Watson,
Wilson and Watson. Chubb or Chuba Hubbard, Nick Chubb or

(51:13):
Chuba Hubbard. That's an awesome question, but it's real, and
it's one.

Speaker 12 (51:17):
Second after him. Gosh, you know, let's go. I'm looking
at my rankings down there.

Speaker 4 (51:22):
I got uh.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
I have a Chubb ahead of Cuba Flacco or Marionta.

Speaker 4 (51:28):
Flacco.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
We have now hit two seconds after the hour. This
is insane this week.

Speaker 3 (51:34):
It's like thirteen of them that came in two seconds.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
No, my god, I have Dobbs and Stevenson both out.
I need emergency running back. Tucker Singletary, Jennings, de Marcado
and Gainwell are available. That's from Ryan Scottsdale.

Speaker 4 (51:47):
I like de Marcado. That's been big play happening all
year long with him. Good to hear.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Like that answer, all right, two seconds after standard score.
I need two to four Rashid White, Keenan Allen James
and Williams Darius Slayton, two of those serious.

Speaker 12 (52:02):
I'm gonna go with Rashad Why and I'm gonna go
with Jamison Williams. Tough matchup, but they've been using him
on short pass plays since Dan Campbell took over, and
that's been.

Speaker 4 (52:11):
Kind of unlocking him a bit.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
By the way, when you put two Beard clanking jug
emojis together, you always get your question answered. Sponsored by Georgetown.
This this segment sponsored by Georgetown Brewing. By the way,
full PPR need two wide receivers in a flex, Metcalf,
Davante Smith, Parker Washington, Quinton Johnson, Rashad White, two wide
receivers in a flex.

Speaker 4 (52:29):
From that, let's go with Metcalf, Davante Smith, and Quinton Johnson.

Speaker 2 (52:35):
Johnston is Metcalf the most disappointing guy this year in
the NFL in fantasy, No.

Speaker 4 (52:40):
There's a there's a couple other guys and I'm drawing
a blank right now, but they drive me crazy every week.
But DK is right up there. He's got the He's
got the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
Though this week.

Speaker 4 (52:51):
It's all everybody's a green light against the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (52:54):
Full PPR. Have jt On a Bye. I'm gonna use
that last week. Now I need to bench one. Javonte Williams,
Jace Brown, Genty London, JJ or c D needs to
bench one of those?

Speaker 4 (53:05):
Man, say the first two again.

Speaker 2 (53:10):
Javonte Williams, Chase Brown, Ashton gent Drake London, Justin Jefferson,
Ceedee Lamb needs to bench one.

Speaker 4 (53:16):
I think it's Chase Brown. That's that's crazy, that's good.
That's a good lineup.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
Uh, let's see Andrew, oh Andrew from Matlake Terrace. Pick
one for my flex please a TN, Aaron Jones, Tracy
or Menong.

Speaker 4 (53:33):
Guy, I'm gonna go with.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
Let's see standard scoring. Need one George Pickens, T Higgins
A Flowers.

Speaker 4 (53:41):
Let's see Flowers another good one. Uh, Flowers is my
third of those three.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
So Jay Flower sits full PPR. Jacoby Myers or Keon Coleman.

Speaker 4 (53:55):
You know it's gonna right now.

Speaker 12 (53:57):
I'm gonna say key On Coleman had the big week
last week, Dalton look out. And that's kind of like
when Keon sort of had the big week and we're
just looking at Jacksonville Brian Thomas. Is he going to
play as any Parker? Washington's a little banged up, kind
of unclear what level of a role Jacoby will have there? Okay, Uh,
end with a trade question.

Speaker 5 (54:18):
A J.

Speaker 2 (54:18):
Brown is a hole in my lineup? Should I trade
my backup quarterback Jordan Love for ATM to go to
my flex spot? Already have Baker quarterback one and Gibbs
doat running back one and two.

Speaker 12 (54:30):
If it's just a if it's not a super flex,
so you absolutely trade your backup quarterback?

Speaker 2 (54:34):
Perfect? Yeah, yeah, I think so too. All Right, We're good.

Speaker 4 (54:39):
That was good.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
We jammed through that. We just I I would say,
I apologize. I don't apologize. We just we did as
much as we could. This was this was It was
a record volume of calls. We had a lot of
new voices, We had new calls, new voices on the calls.
And I would say the record number of texts as well,
being as we had so many Bull's eyes and all
the ones at one second after so fun Since.

Speaker 4 (54:59):
Is that a substantiate uh fact?

Speaker 2 (55:01):
Like that was a record number of calls we could
have we could have taken with us a long time.
We could, we could have cut it. We cut them off.
At one point we just turned the phone.

Speaker 5 (55:08):
Yeah, the lines were full throughout, even though we got
through many regulars and got a lot.

Speaker 1 (55:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:14):
New that tells you what does Scott Hansen call it
the Witching hour?

Speaker 4 (55:20):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Right, I think we might be in like the witching
week right now for fantasy football. There's like a mass
panic in the air. So funds and a lot of
people didn't get their questions answered. So what must they do?

Speaker 12 (55:29):
Yeah, they go to the Athletic. Got all kinds of
things up there that can help you answer questions. We
have a discord that you can jump into. We have
moderators in there, people that know what they're talking about.
They can answer your questions as well. You can drop
a question into my colleague Jake Seely's rankings and he
answers everybody's question, which is amazing to me.

Speaker 6 (55:46):
But he does it.

Speaker 4 (55:47):
So yeah, check it out at the Athletic.

Speaker 2 (55:49):
You know why I funds it. Unlike you, He's a
man of the people. You're just too big time as.

Speaker 4 (55:55):
All's I car about thirty minutes a week. It's right here.

Speaker 7 (56:00):
Right here.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
For Robin Burrien and Mike and Edmunds, and Ricky and
Tacoma and basically the entire town of Sultan as well.
All Right, we'll take a break. Thanks a lot, Brandon,
take a break, come back. Andrews has a pick today
for factor fiction.

Speaker 10 (56:12):
Next.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
All right, just to add a factor fiction a couple
of texts four nine, four or five one on the
still unrestricted free agent text line let's see here we
go two five three. I'm a huge Hawks fan, glad
they're having lots of success so far this season, but
my only concern is a lack of scoring in the
second half and allowing other teams to get back into
the game. You think this will be an issue against
the high power offense like the Rams. Second half scoring

(56:43):
when you have a huge lead, not a big deal.
In fact, home runs if you miss it. Yesterday we
talked probably for I don't know six seven, eight minutes
with Homered about that there's a thing in the NFL.
Mike said it, and it's this is one of the
big inherent differences, as Mike was talking about yesterday with
us between the NFL and college. The NFL you kind
of know like it's over, you know it's over. Yeah,

(57:06):
And it, and there's a time when it gets over.
Then you're taking the foot off the gas. You're getting
backups in when you can. You're not throwing the ball
like what a Donald throat two passes or something like
last week in the second half. Yeah, so I wouldn't
worry about the second half scoring. But if you missed it,
go listen to Homeground the podcast page yesterday in the
two o'clock hour. I'll finish with this one. This is

(57:26):
from our friend Keith Miller, who does point out that
it's loud and clear in Alan all the way to
Monsano on the ninety three point three k r FM
stick as they call it over the air terrestrial radio.
It is our signal is good, it is. Yeah, I
was thinking those really good I like on the FM.
But you can always listen to on the iHeartRadio app. Yes,
But Keith also says, as follows Odds that Ian knows

(57:50):
what twitch is. I'll take the ender. I don't.

Speaker 6 (57:53):
I just know.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
I just I just know that aj Brown said on
his Twitch that you should get rid of him if
he's on your fantasy team.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
That was the forum on which he said it.

Speaker 2 (58:02):
Yeah, that's all I'm basically a parrot.

Speaker 21 (58:04):
It's basically like, you know how you can go live
on YouTube like me and Chris would after every Mariner game.

Speaker 11 (58:09):
Similar platform is that it's just a live streaming.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
I just learned about Reddit the other day.

Speaker 4 (58:14):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (58:15):
In Okay, he grows up and he grows.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Up or grows down. Who I think is my future
brother in law? He ever gets round of proposing to
My daughter said that when I did the play by
play the first game I did play by play for
he goes, oh, yeah, they they're commenting on you on
Reddit on the on something. So I'm like, okay, is
that a good thing or a bad thing?

Speaker 3 (58:38):
And ends, I mean it gives them. It's another social
media platform.

Speaker 21 (58:42):
It's like another blog sort of. It's like a message
board kind of. Yeah, you get those are fun and
you get these like communities of people. No, it's norm
mostly positive. I will say most of my career positive. Yeah,
I don't even want to look.

Speaker 5 (58:55):
They just have different categories and you can kind of
customize it by joining certain communities.

Speaker 3 (59:00):
I'm a part of the Mariners, the Seahawks.

Speaker 5 (59:01):
One, Oh, you're in a community, well yeah, and then
so what you'll see you do just know that means no,
what you'll see on your feed, like I also like
to follow local news and national news and you can
customize it.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
You guys have an HIA community on Reddit or how
does it work?

Speaker 5 (59:19):
No?

Speaker 2 (59:19):
Okay, no, but it is there is just as part
of it probably is positive.

Speaker 5 (59:25):
It's moderated though there are Yeah, so so those would
be your HA presidents.

Speaker 11 (59:30):
That toxicity is limited, I'll put it that way.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
Yes, I just remember the early the early days of
softy and favor of talking about the other, the day
of dogman dot com or cook fan dot com and
the message boards there's message boards were yeah, toxic fire,
everybody you suck.

Speaker 3 (59:47):
Everyone hates Oh when I when I got hired?

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Well, actually, you know what now I say that outside
of what I'm looking at with fantasy football right now,
that's usually the four nine. That's good to think of it. Okay,
let's get to it. Factor fiction of cour to go
Glad you're with us.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
It's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the
ten thousand dollars grand prize. It's factor fiction, probably presented
by Lucky Ego casino and hotel where every day feels Lucky.
Fact Door fiction is on sports Radio ninety three point
three kJ R f M.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Factor Fiction is brought to you by the Lucky Eagle
Casino and Hotel, where every day feels lucky. You know
who's been lucky, Well, not lucky, he's just been good.
Andrews has been good so far this year.

Speaker 11 (01:00:31):
He's fine.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
He's been carrying with the show. He's our he's our
anchor's fifty. Hey, you know what, that's fifty. Let's see
what is your record right now? Five and four, five
and four. That's that's uh, that's the last week.

Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
It's about fifth.

Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
Certain percentage wise, percentage wise, you are number three among
people picking, behind only Chuck Powell and Richard L. Fame.

Speaker 11 (01:00:59):
Well, hopefully this increases after this.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Okay, pick, what do you got?

Speaker 21 (01:01:04):
I'm gonna go Tampa Bay plus five at the Buffalo Bills.
I think the wrong team is favored in this game,
and I get five points along with it. I just
I don't I don't love the Buffalo Bills and how
they're playing right now. And I really really like Tampa
and I know that they have some injuries to the
wide receiver position, but I still believe Baker Mayfield and

(01:01:25):
that defense is going to go in and make some
plays in Buffalo.

Speaker 11 (01:01:28):
Give me Tampa Bay plus five.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Tampa Bay plus five. Dalton Kincaid still hurt, right. I
think we talked about that with funds, and that's a
good thing for.

Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
Is not.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
We wish the best for Dalton Kincaid. I should have
asked funds to Kate Aughton or Brock Bowers. See, I
picked up Kate Aughton last week and that helped me
a lot. Would have helped me too, because brock Bowers
did not. All right, So.

Speaker 7 (01:01:56):
He's awful.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
This isn't even part of the tick. Is just he's
just awful. Yeah, anyway, what you pick against Tampa.

Speaker 11 (01:02:04):
Bay session, Yeah, it is Tampa Bay plus five at Buffalo.
I know Buffalo is a good record.

Speaker 21 (01:02:09):
They be CAC a couple weeks ago, but they laid
a stinker last week, and I believe the Buccaneers are
a really good team. I think Bacon Mayfield in the
MVP conversation, especially if he goes and wins this one
in Tampa or sorry in Buffalo, on that he solidifies
his candidacy, I should say. And I think the defense
is underrated too in Tampa, so I like this one.

(01:02:30):
Tampa Bay plus five.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
Tampa Bay plus five at Buffalo fact four nine four
or five one if you disagree fiction four nine four
five one text in right now. But he's going Tampa
Bay plus five at Buffalo. Fact and Andrews is one
of the very few people above five hundred this year
in fact or fiction, so you might want to listen.

Speaker 7 (01:02:48):
To what he has.

Speaker 11 (01:02:48):
So we've had a rough year as a station. Yeah,
there's a couple of bad ones.

Speaker 5 (01:02:53):
I think there's a lot of parody in the NFL
across there. Ian was mentioning even earlier with Corbyn Smith.
How the powerhouses right now? Why in the NFC webs Yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:03:04):
I really do.

Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
Yeah, Yeah, I got ten wins this year in factor fiction.
That's one two three, tied for fourth. You go in
terms of win terms of wins losses, I lead the
way with seventeen. Anyway, all right, that's good factor fiction again.

Speaker 21 (01:03:23):
One more time to pick Tampa Bay plus five at
Buffalo against the Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:03:26):
You try to win a thousand dollars week we prize
ten thousand dollars Grand prize one thousand dollars is giving
away every Monday. Anderson calls somebody and says, you have
won one thousand dollars. Curtzy, Lucky, Ego, Casino and Hotel.
They're always excited and all you have to do to
qualify to win one thousand dollars is pick one correct.
Make one correct pick during the week, So make it
right now text Factor Fiction to four nine four five
won the next pick, coming up with Softy Fain normally Jackson,

(01:03:48):
but he's not feeling well, so he's not in today.
So the Jackson or Faine and Softy coming up at
three thirty five with the next pick for Factor Fiction
and then four more tomorrow to wrap up is this
week eleven eleven, so we have four weeks left including
this week.

Speaker 11 (01:04:05):
Yeah, three weeks after this week.

Speaker 2 (01:04:06):
All right, uh Softy joints from the five twenty bar
and Grill next. Okay, here we.

Speaker 6 (01:04:34):
Go, bird Ferguson, Yeah, it's word for you. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:04:38):
That's my favorite line every te I let you hang
around a little bit. Okay, how en do I hang around?

Speaker 5 (01:04:43):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (01:04:44):
Three hours?

Speaker 4 (01:04:46):
Oh well, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (01:04:51):
I think that might be a while. What else I
got to that?

Speaker 5 (01:04:54):
Is that?

Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Not the best Saturday Night Live skid ever by the way.

Speaker 6 (01:04:57):
Ferguson average every I kind of like Tracy Moore, to
be honest with you, I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
A Sean Connery fan.

Speaker 6 (01:05:06):
It was so good, so good, so good.

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
How's the five twenty bar and grill, sir?

Speaker 6 (01:05:11):
Phenomenal?

Speaker 22 (01:05:12):
I'm standing no better place to be on the east Side,
especially if you're in the downtown Bellevue main Street area,
Old Bellevue, right across from the what used to be
the seven eleven which is now I don't know what
the hell that is.

Speaker 6 (01:05:24):
Some kind of appliance place for.

Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
Pick up a twenty five cents slurpy back in the day.

Speaker 6 (01:05:28):
Yes, theories, Oh, we used to hit that all the time.

Speaker 22 (01:05:30):
The Jack in the Box across the street, the Super
West up the road, Oh yeah, Gino's Pizzeria for grinders
down the street. Over here, the old Bellevue barber shop
where I saw my first Playboy magazine back in the day.

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
How old were you when I saw that? How old
were I first walked in there?

Speaker 6 (01:05:44):
God, I don't know. I was probably eight or nine
years old.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Well, you know what you were looking at?

Speaker 22 (01:05:49):
My mom explained it to me what it was, and
then she said they all looked the same. I was like,
you know what, that's not even close to being right.

Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
How long did you take your figure that out? How
long did it's?

Speaker 4 (01:06:00):
Like page two?

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Jess was shaking her head by the way, Jessamin shaking
her head took only two minutes.

Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Oh god, that is my natural position when I talked to.

Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
Such just shaking your head right now talking all right, Well,
I guess we won't talk about playboys anymore. What was
your favorite one though?

Speaker 6 (01:06:18):
By the way, Miss December from nineteen eighty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
God, what were you? How were you like a fourteen fourteen.

Speaker 6 (01:06:29):
Fourteen years old that when Vanessa Williams hit Penthouse.

Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
Magazine, that was That's right, wasn't she was she missed
America or something?

Speaker 8 (01:06:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Because of that decrowned? Yeah, that seems wrong.

Speaker 22 (01:06:44):
There was the there was the Madonna leak that hit
Penhouse magazine. That was a big one back in the day.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
Well Madonna, Yeah, I remember that one. I remember that one.

Speaker 6 (01:06:51):
Vanessa Williams man that was just.

Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Whoa whoa hey hey, And that was and that was Penthouse.

Speaker 6 (01:06:57):
That was when a whole new world opened up.

Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
Yeah, that was a whole different world. How do you
decrown somebody for just you know, that's that seems wrong.

Speaker 4 (01:07:05):
That happens well too.

Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
She was at a modeling shoot and she was only eighteen.
It was way before she even did the Miss America,
but it wasn't released until later, and then they took
her crown away.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
You know what I love is you knew all the details, Jess.
That's perfect because I'm a advocate.

Speaker 6 (01:07:20):
Yeah right, sure, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
You know who else is softies? Women's advocate?

Speaker 20 (01:07:26):

Speaker 6 (01:07:28):
I'm an advocate for women doing whatever the hell they didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Wear exactly exactly. Speaking of which is the server going
to make the picks to day out?

Speaker 4 (01:07:35):
There?

Speaker 2 (01:07:35):
Doesn't she usually make the lady it's not.

Speaker 6 (01:07:37):

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry. My apologies, Taylor, my apologies too.

Speaker 22 (01:07:44):
We'll be making a selection later on today. She did
not have a good week last week. She's not had
a good run whatsoever in this contest.

Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
I feel her pain.

Speaker 6 (01:07:53):
I know that all we want to do is.

Speaker 22 (01:07:54):
Just give away fifty dollars gift cards to the five
twenty bar and grill, and she has done an amazing
job of making sure that happens every single while.

Speaker 2 (01:08:01):
I should just have her make my picks because she can't.
She can't do worse than my picks. All this in
every way, shape or form, I'll justm.

Speaker 22 (01:08:06):
She took the Broncos last week and they didn't cover
obviously against the Raiders. The Jets are getting twelve and
a half tonight against the Patriots.

Speaker 6 (01:08:15):
So we'll see what direction she goes this evening. So
we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
That's in New England, right, Yes, yes, it's in New England.

Speaker 22 (01:08:21):

it bother you? I'll tell you this, it bothers me.
I know Belichick and Brady aren't there anymore. I don't
like them. The Patriots are good. I don't like any

just a petty I'm a petty human being. I don't
like the Red Sox. I don't like the Celtics, sorry, Jess.
And I don't like the Patriots. And I don't like
the Bruins either. To be honest with you, but I
really don't like the Patriots.

Speaker 22 (01:08:47):
Oh don't, don't apologize to Jets. She likes everybody in
Boston and everybody in it.

Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
I like the Celtics, and that's it.

Speaker 6 (01:08:53):
Sure.

Speaker 22 (01:08:53):

Knicks fan, you're in Celtics fain, you're root for the Rangers,
You're root for the Bruins, the Yankees and Red Sox too.

Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
I wrote for the Yankee or I'm sorry, the Islands.

Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
Okay, listen, if we can't, we can't clip it because
you're running the board.

Speaker 22 (01:09:15):
If you want to deny this New York the lave
affair that you've got for both cities, that's that sounds like.

Speaker 2 (01:09:20):
A a problem.

Speaker 3 (01:09:22):
Like you're the one with the problem.

Speaker 6 (01:09:23):
I don't know. I just remember you're rooting for the
Nickson Celtics last.

Speaker 3 (01:09:26):
Year or so, I wanted them to meet, and then
I rooted for the Celtics.

Speaker 6 (01:09:30):
Whatever. Whatever. Keep denying this show to do no, not
at all. Nope.

Speaker 22 (01:09:37):
I gotta sit here and try to figure out how
to work this button bar from I guess I'll just
I'll just do it for you.

Speaker 6 (01:09:44):
You know what, man, it's about time you help out
the show.

Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
I mean I really, I really know, because I was
just you hang one. That's Rondo. I don't need to
listen to you know what.

Speaker 1 (01:09:57):
This is like?

Speaker 22 (01:09:58):
This is like when the parents leave the house and
the kids are home alone for the very first time
and they found the car keys.

Speaker 4 (01:10:05):
Oh lord shocky, Oh Lord Shockey, Oh lord shocky.

Speaker 8 (01:10:09):

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):

He called his shot yesterday.

Speaker 6 (01:10:16):

Speaker 6 (01:10:21):
Who is not Jackson?

Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
Why don't you have that deleted?

Speaker 13 (01:10:24):
Man?

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
I'm gonna get in trouble now.

Speaker 6 (01:10:25):
Because I just don't play it.

Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
No body lessons.

Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
I can't control myself of stupidity.

Speaker 4 (01:10:30):
That's me.

Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
That's me today. And how was your show of stupidity?
Softies will be much better? Trust me.

Speaker 6 (01:10:40):
Segment has gone off the rails.

Speaker 2 (01:10:42):
I never getta I never get to play with the
little button bar here thing here.

Speaker 6 (01:10:45):
Stop playing with it away, Stop playing with it, put
it away? All right.

Speaker 4 (01:10:52):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
