Speaker 1 (00:06):
It's wore the Roses interns John in your morning show,
you think the person you love, You think your other
half is stepping out doing things they shouldn't. We try
to figure out exactly what's going on nicolect and morning.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hey, how are you?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I'm doing well? Thank you. So let's get into this.
You and Joe have been together for how long?
Speaker 2 (00:26):
Like a year and a half?
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Year and a half okay, met on'm bumble?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Right, Yes?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
How long from meeting on bumble to being officially together?
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (00:38):
A couple of weeks okay, And since then in your email,
everything's been fine. You said that you guys are basically
still in the puppy love phase.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Yeah, until recently okay.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
And this involves his job. What's going on?
Speaker 4 (00:54):
Well, he manages a bar and an old friend of
his like showed up in town and needed a job,
and so he hired her, and ever since then things
have just been off.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Did you notice old friend? Have you met this friend?
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah, I met her briefly, but he's kind of since
she got to tell him, he's kind of like discouraged
me from coming to the bar, and she's been kind
of yeah, and he's been kind of insecure, like he's
he's like he's projecting or something like I'll be like, oh,
well I'm not really good enough for you and all
that stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And he didn't really used to say things like that.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
That's weird.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
And yeah, it just.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
He feels distant in a way that he didn't.
Speaker 5 (01:44):
And then he starts seeing this stuff about like I'd
be better off without him or stuff like that, and
that's just not appealing and I'm concerned about it, and
my friends think I'm kind of overreacting and I'm just
being jealous, and I can admit that.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I can be, but this feels different.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah. Yeah, So just so I'm clear, prior to this
woman starting, you would go to the bar just to like,
i mean, have dinner or whatever, just so you guys
kind of be around each other. Is that my picking
it up?
Speaker 6 (02:14):
Right?
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah? You know you go viit your person at work
if you can like that.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
You know, how often would you go?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Usually, I don't know, once or twice a week?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Okay? And then did he give you a reason for why, like, hey,
don't stop by anymore.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
Well, he's kind of said the big boss doesn't want
them to.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Be distracted, kind of like through it on like the owner.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Okay, but.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
He's always in fine with it before, so I don't
really get it.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
So like that could be the case perhaps, but I
understand like this wanting to know. So let's do this.
We'll have sauce call from the flower company. Off from
Roses obviously should go to you, girl friend a year
and a half. If they do go to you, we'll
put them on hold. See what you want to do.
If they go to somebody else that we'll get some
answers for you.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Okay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Probably one of the Roses an intern Johnny Morning Show.
More of the Roses interns Young Your Morning Show, Nico.
Let let me recap this. You and Joe been together
about a year and a half, matched on bumble, started
dating a few weeks later. Been the honeymoon phase. Basically
since the beginning, although things started to change a few
weeks ago. An old friend of his came back into
town needing a job. Joe manages a local bar, got
(03:25):
her a job there, and ever since then things started
being a little bit off. You used to go there
to have like dinner or lunch, should be around him.
He told you, hey, can't come in anymore. Boss, doesn't
want it. That's number one. Number two is it's almost
like he's projecting a breakup coming by saying things like
you're too good for me, you will leave me, YadA, YadA.
Your friends think you're overreacting. You just kind of want
(03:47):
to figure things out. Is that that's where we're at basically? Right?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yes, exactly?
Speaker 1 (03:52):
And you met this friend before or at least once, right? Yeah,
stupid question. Is friend attractive?
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yeah, she's hot?
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Okay, And so have they dated before? Have you asked
if they have any history before aside from being friends.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
I mean, they've known each other a long time, so
I feel like they may have gone to dances together
in high school or something like that, but.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
I don't think they actually were ever a couple.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Did you know this friend prior to her getting the
job at the bar? Had you heard the friend? I
guess we'll be your question.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
I feel like she came up once in a while. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
And when she met you, was she warm receptive or
was she cold as if like, oh, this is my competition?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
She was pretty warm?
Speaker 6 (04:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Okay, all right, that's.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
A good sign.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Okay, Yeah, so let's do this then, well, Sausa called
Joe from the flower company off from the free roses.
They should go to you, No doubt they go to you.
We'll put them on hold. We can either hang up,
we can talk to them whatever. If they go to
somebody else, will get answers for you.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Okay, okay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, last question. We don't live together? Correct?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Correct? Okay?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I want should I get him on hopefully clear some
things up. Hello, Hi, sus Joe.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Speaking. Hi.
Speaker 7 (05:27):
My name is Blair.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
I'm actually calling you from a new flower shop in
the area. We're called why Miss Flowers. We're just trying
to get into the community by offering people a free
bouquet of roses, just in hopes that you'll use us
for future occasions. We don't need your credit card info
or anything. Is that something you're into?
Speaker 8 (05:45):
Uh, I'm just kind of curious.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
How did you get my number?
Speaker 7 (05:49):
I think it's called gorilla marketing.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
We just get maybe you signed up for something online
and they send out lists to local businesses if you
sign up for it yourself.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Sure, what's what's the Uh?
Speaker 8 (06:03):
What do I gotta do?
Speaker 6 (06:05):
I just need to know, you know, to get the
name address, all that stuff and then like, we'll just
go down this list.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
How about that?
Speaker 3 (06:12):
Sure?
Speaker 8 (06:13):
Cool?
Speaker 6 (06:13):
Thank you so much for supporting. Okay, So can I
get a name of who you're sending it to?
Speaker 8 (06:20):
Yeah, let's go with uh bri b r e e.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
Okay bre like the cheese. Well, I guess it's spelled differently. Huh.
And then what is she to you? I'm just gonna
keep everything filed in case you do end up coming back,
So like girl, friend, wife, fiance.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Let's just say she's a she's a friend.
Speaker 7 (06:39):
She's a friend. Okay, they are.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
We do send out red roses, so I feel like
they're romanotic.
Speaker 2 (06:47):
If you want that's okay, Okay, sure you.
Speaker 7 (06:50):
Still want to do those, Okay, cool?
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Cool? Cool.
Speaker 7 (06:51):
And then it's a typical flower card. What do you
want to say? It's not super big or anything?
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Is it?
Speaker 8 (07:00):
Is anyone else going to be reading this?
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Or it's just her? Right?
Speaker 6 (07:03):
I mean I'll be reading it because I'm gonna be typing.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
It right now. All right, well, let's do, let's do
She'll get it.
Speaker 7 (07:11):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
I can't wait to give you a shot of this.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
I can't wait to give you a shot of this. Okay,
my sorry, my brother's so nosy.
Speaker 7 (07:23):
What does that mean? He just wants to know because.
Speaker 8 (07:28):
We work together at a bar, and it's like an
ode to the bar.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
You know, real quick, Joe, my name's intern John. I
got sauce and rose here as well. That is your girlfriend, Nicolette. Nicolette,
you knew.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
What you can't believe? What what for red roses? Unless
you're cheating on me.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
I can't say that word. That's a good question to
your girlfriend. It is.
Speaker 8 (07:55):
It's not like that, this is just this is just
my friend here. It's like I can't really do much
for her. I'm excited for her. She's new in town,
like we know that.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
But also also also if she's doing her job, like
you got her a job, you've already done the good
friend thing.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
Yeah, something we're romantic, she's getting paid.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Because this is what it looks like. It looks like
you brought in a friend to work at your job.
Because of that, you let your girlfriend or you stop
lett her come in, and now you're sending this girl
rose and say you can give her a shot of this,
which I'm not positive what this is, but I don't
think I want anything in regards to Yeah, it's.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Not like that it's a joke.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
I love inside jokes.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
What's the joke?
Speaker 6 (08:43):
Joke?
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Loving be a part of one.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
We work at a bar.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Okay, let me let me ask you this. Let me
ask you this. In Joe, do you think it's appropriate,
as a man with a girlfriend of a year and
a half to have inside jokes your female coworker involving
taking a shot of.
Speaker 8 (08:57):
Quote this, I mean I personally no, I honestly don't
think so, because it is a joke. It's there's nothing
inappropriate going on.
Speaker 6 (09:10):
But you're still sending her flowers like red roses or romantic.
I wouldn't if a friend sent mero red roses. I
would be really weired out and like put off by that.
Speaker 8 (09:22):
Well, I guess everyone's different.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I mean, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
I can't make decisions for you, and you know that's
not cool. We sat by your shift today, just ask
some questions.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
Yeah, sure, come on in.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Will she be there?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
She doesn't work today?
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Actually no, when she worked next?
Speaker 2 (09:39):
What's tomorrow she works?
Speaker 1 (09:41):
Okay, we'll burn the flowers and then it'll be fine.
Speaker 8 (09:45):
Listen, this is not I'm not like gaslating or anything.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
Nothing's going on.
Speaker 8 (09:50):
I'm not being inappropriate that.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
Yeah, I do think somebody says that gas.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Thank you.
