Speaker 1 (00:00):
So Joe Biden was on sixty minutes last night. They
kicked off their fifty fifth season with an interview with
the President United States when there's a heck of a
lot going on in the country, and the fact that
they came right out of the box first question with you.
You had a meeting at the White House bragging about
the inflation reduction act while the stock market was tanking

(00:21):
and nobody's feeling what you're talking about. So I was
happy to see that. I mean they yeah and yeah,
talked about forty year high inflation and all that sort
of stuff right off the bat. Brought up Hunter Biden.
Didn't need to do that so well, but to Joe
Biden's credit, when he was asked about inflation, he reacted
like a petulant, angry old man. I guess that isn't
to his credit, is it, come to think of it?

(00:41):
Never Mind, you know I I do. I do the
talk show in my car too often. So I'm driving
in my truck coming back from Costco and actually listen
to that with my oldest son. My youngest son is
sitting in the back seat with headphones on listening to music,
but my son and I are listening to the interview
at the president and I paused it and I said,
here's something you should know. Every president talks about how

(01:03):
they're going to do this or that with the economy
and they can't. They can't. So that's just something you
should know your whole life. They can't actually control the economy.
None of the things he's said, that he's talking about
he's going to do or has done, does he have
the power to do. You know, I'm glad you brought
that up because that struck me watching the interview. Time
after time Scott Pelley, who has annoyed me for going

(01:24):
on two decades now. We we really have a relationship
at this point. Uh, he's just so annoying anyway. But
he um, he framed every single question with what are
you going to do? Just solve this Denice, if you
ever had a presidence as well actually as the chief
executive of the executive branch, I can't do anything. So

(01:44):
my biggest power has really come around the whole military thing.
I can do practically anything in terms of the military,
but in terms of like creating a job or lowering inflation,
I I really can't do much of anything. So that's
up to Congress. You might want to go over to
Congress and ask them. Well, right, that is funny I had,
and the thought of that he could certainly say, listen,
I have very, very limited effects on the economy. We

(02:04):
can tweak it here and there, but it's the entrepreneurial
spirit and innovation of the American people. It's private enterprise
and congress is in charge of righting laws. So you know,
I'll do my best, but don't look at me, Oh
my God. And every president does this. It's just when
the economy is going well they take and I've created blah, blah,
Blah jaws. You did? What? What did you do as
president to create these jobs? But on this particular creating

(02:25):
jobs and lowering the deficit, I wish anybody would ever
push back on the we had the biggest emergency since
the civil war. We spent a gazillion dollars and then
we we shut down all the businesses. So then this year,
when we don't spend but kind of money we spent
during the biggest crisis in a hundred and fifty years,
you're taking credit for lowering the deficit. What? And the

(02:49):
incredibly annoying Scott Kelly must have forgotten that, because he
never brought it up in response to any of Biden's
claims of having created x number of jobs. All right,
the jobs you brought back. It's people got to go
back to work because they weren't allowed to before endemic
of Geez, come on now, thanks to your party's policies,
by the way. So there was plenty to say, but
again Scott Pelly must have just forgotten because he's so

(03:11):
grief stricken over the passing of the Queens. I went there,
I went back there. It's my bad, not good night,
arm strong. And Yet
