A Chopped Salad Is Not Boring!

Jack always has the most interesting time at restaurants. This time he stubbled across the great chopped salad debate!

I want to start this new feature. Can you give
me a fanfare or something like that, Michael. It's a
feature called something Overheard at a Restaurant. Actually, there was
somebody somebody did a column. Was that Larry King? I
don't remember who it was. Somebody I like did a
column years ago, and it was just like overheard on
the train or something, and it would just be like

one line that you heard from a conversation. It was
often very very interesting and very very funny. But I'm
walking back from the bathroom at a very nice restaurant
last night, and I walked by a couple sitting there
at the table, like middle aged, look like husband and wife,
And all I know is this one sentence the wife
saying to the husband, I never said a chopped salad

is boring. Oh boy, I have no idea what came
before after that conversation. You probably want to settle that
before the discussion gets out of hand.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
How let me a long car ride home. What was
the lead up to that? That's hilarious?

Speaker 3 (01:06):
How dare you that's one of the better salads ever
developed by mankind? Well did he call it chopped salad boring?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Well? Did he? At some point say, got here you
go again with your boring salad or something, or she
criticized his salad, or I don't know. I don't know
if I could be with you anymore with your boring
salad offer. I never called it chopped salad boring.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, yeah, I almost wanted to see that reverse engineered. Yeah.
I always wanted to stop at the day. But I'm sorry,
I don't know you, and this is really budding in
and none of my business. But I overheard you say
I never said a chop salad was boring. What the
hell are you talking about?
