Speaker 1 (00:01):
Jewels dirty little secret. Wait, stop, Richard, don't go anywhere. Yeah,
it's time for your dirty little secret. It's a Jewels show,
remember texting four one of six one. If you want
to tellus a dirty little secret, and you can tell
us anything because we keep everybody anonymous. And Richard, who
I was just talking to, is one of the producers
on the show, and he was walking through the studio
and I stopped him real quick because I couldn't think
of an anonymous nickname. So, Richard, do you have an
anonymous nickname for the caller that's on the phone to

(00:21):
tell us a dirty little secret? Bozo the Clown, Bozo
the Clown. All right, Bozo the Clown is on the
bank you Richard, All right, Bozo the Clown? What's up?
How are you? Bozo the Clown? You couldn't give me
James Bond or something? Hey, Richard's choice. I don't believe
we haven't used. Actually, he is complaining about his name.

(00:45):
Bo So what you're doing, you're telling us a dirt
a little secret. You know. Okay, you don't get to
choose your name, but I'll give it to you a
James Bond. Go ahead, James bond. Okay, Well, my my
dirty I wish I could kind of con you o
my voice a little bit. But my dirty little secret
is said, my wife is always talking down to me

(01:06):
and has been like forever. Oh that's your dirty secret. Well,
I mean that's that's I'm giving you the prelude. I
call her queen condescending. And what I've been doing to
kind of make myself feel better about it is go
online and and chatting up women in chat rooms. You know,

(01:27):
I'm probably never going to go anywhere with it, but
so you know, it makes me feel better about that.
That's cheating, that's emotionally cheating. But I think what would
make you even more happier, though, is if you guys
broke up and then you did it when you were single, yeah,
and then you could actually take some action and not
to feel guilty about it. You could find someone out
there that just likes you for you and doesn't talk

(01:48):
down to you and make you feel bad and make
you feel like you need to go in chat rooms
and talk to other women just so that could be
nice to you. Well that that that sounds logical and practical,
and you know, every buddy struggles, you know, for the
most part or has. And it doesn't really matter how
much money you make. What matters is your happiness and
being a nice person. You can figure that out. Like,

(02:11):
as long as you're good, as long as you have
somewhere to sleep and your stomach is fold and you're
not with somebody who's abusive, then I call that winning. Yes,
so it's weird. James Bond this sow it is a
day little secret, but now it's a therapy session. Ye
just leave the girl. Wow if this went in an
entirely different direction than I thought it would. Yeah, well,

(02:32):
I mean you're talking to two people myself and Alex,
who have been in some very abusive, bad relationships. Right,
we're not anymore because we're with each other and very
nice to each other. I love you. I love you too.
Text diffw I was posting on I was posting the
story at the jewelshow on Instagram. I swear, Okay, don't

(02:53):
come at me, bro. I know. I was literally I
was only distracted for about ten seconds. I'm in it,
I'm in it. It was just funny when I said that,
when you looked at me, just like oh yeah, yeah,
I mean I'm a great multitasker, but I missed like
three seconds of three seconds. But I love you too,
carry on all right, and English Evan is in his
first relationship. But it is a good point though, like, um,

(03:14):
don't waste your time being unhappy. For real, you can
be happy or broke than you could be rich with
someone who's terrible to you're terrible to yourself. Be comfortable
with yourself and be happy. I know it sounds easier
than it is, but that's all you have to do.
In other words, be James Bond. Yes, yes, exactly, that
is what we're saying, you know, bos of the clown

(03:36):
to too too long? Oh my god, go out and
get an aston Martin. That's what you need. Okay, I'll start.
I'll start slow and get a martini shaking, not stirring.
Oh yeah, drink a few of those, and then tell
your wife that you're gonna leave. Get up the courage,
and then be like I'm bouncing God. All right, Well,
thanks for telling you doing a little secret. I hope

(03:57):
to help you up a little bit. Man. Well, thank
you so much better about things now? Good cool, Okay, cheers.
What's your dirty little secret

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
