What is it?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
So?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I was pregnant my ex husband cheated on me and
decided that he wanted a divorce.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Oh wow, we lived together.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
I would vomit into his shampoo bottles, good for you?
And I would you're into his soup bottles? Why he
spunk so much? And I was like, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Oh, sorry, you cheat on a pregnant lady. Yeah, while
she's knocked up with your kid, you can have vomiting
you shampoo.

little secret. All right, bye, what's up? You have a
dirty little secret?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I had?

Speaker 1 (01:14):
All right. So a little little backstory too. It is
my dad got with this girl that was a couple
of years old, I say, a couple of ten years
older than me when I was thirteen, So she had
like a lot of authority at a young age. In
my opinion, and we never got along. Obviously, I can't
do nothing. I was thirteen, and right before I left
for the army, when I was seventeen, I put nair

(01:36):
in her leaving conditioner. She had this super long, lucious hair,
and I mixed there in it. Oh my god. And
it was just an eight year battle, you know, growing up,
and that was my revenge before I left out. I
don't know whatever came out of it.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
But wait, she doesn't know that you.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
I don't know if. I don't know if there was
enough in the conditioner for it to do anything. But
when I for the army, I never came back, so
I don't know what came out of it.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
That like tastes off your hair, right, yeah, yeah, it's
crazy quick, just a little bit. Well yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
The leaving conditioner was and you leave it in, so
I'm sure it got in there good wow.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
Oh yeah, I was leaving it in too.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Damn.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Well, thank you for telling us your dirty little secret.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Remind everybody not to get on your bad side, have
a good one.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Yeah, but what's your dirty little secret?

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
