Speaker 1 (00:00):
Anyone says, a diamond around here.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Let me know what's going on? You look? Well wait,
wait's right behind your computer?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
Shut up, computer?

Speaker 2 (00:07):
What is That's a screw? But I only saw the
corner of it.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
Does something just happen right now? Payton?

Speaker 4 (00:12):
Yeah, what happened?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
I lost the diamond in my ring.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Wish ring, my engagement engagement ring. Let me see like
the diamond.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
No, not like one of the big ones on no, no, no,
no oh?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Did you just notice it right now? That's like what
happened to my sister.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Annoying phone, I know, my text and my mom she's like,
we'll just take it in. I'm like, well, I just
got it back after seven weeks, Like that's effing.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
In a link supposed to secure those when they just
piss me off?

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Could it be that's why could even get the ring
so cheap? Because it's maybe a disappearing diamond disappearing like disappeared.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
I actually saw the price snag on that ring and
it was not you see it in the corner.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
No oh yes, that's gonna be really hard to find.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Yeah, oh no, did you just notice it? So it
could have been last night today? How small is liten?
Because remember that had the colin. We searched the whole place.
Remember we found one that was a fake.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yeah, yeah, it's it's one of the little like small
pave ones.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
It's brilliant.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
It's gonna be really tough to find.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
It's weird because once you see this missing, it's obvious
it's going to bother you forever.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I can't see it, and I'm like, we're supposed to
go take these engagement pictures. So it's like I need
to go and push these back again. Do I just
go with my photo booth idea until we can actually
get some pictures taken and not make them quote unquote
engagement pictures and just do pictures.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
I'm just ir but I don't know if that'll show
up in the picture.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Yeah, well usually engagement pictures like a close up.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
And guess what, I tell me why I think it
was you that I was talking to. It's like I
need to ensure the ring.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, maybe it'll we'll find it when I do my enema.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Oh no, I see it right on the corner, right
on the price Puia Ford.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
That's so annoying.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
And you would imagine a corner one would be the
one that would go right, Yeah, it's just hanging off
the edge and I and it's like, how are you
going to find that?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
It's a big ring? Like and I feel like I
whack it everywhere.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Yeah, I'm not gonna find It's.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Gonna be positive. Kyle didn't give up and she found it.
I didn't find it. God that just I didn't find it.
I had to pay to replace it. Oh man, well.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
Annoying af Yeah that's no fun.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
You're so soaring all right?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
So this could be part of our afterwards podcast, maybe
the see if the dream Lady can find Peyton's ring interesting.
Occasionally I get to sit in from my friend Georgian
Ore on Coast to Coast am and this guest is
what I would like describe as like a badass Mary Poppins.
Her name is Teresa. She is from England and she
went to college to study why we dream what we dream?

(03:08):
And when you guys come in here first thing in
the morning and you tell me your dreams, I'm like,
we should have Teresa on the phone and have her,
have her discuss it, have her break it down. Because
I don't remember what she said. I just know that
she's really good at it. And because she's from England,
I believe everything she says is real. Hello Teresa, Teresa.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
I love that because my tagline here is what the
media calls me is the British Grand Dorm of Psychic
and Spiritual Studies. But I'm going to go for bad
ass Mary Poppins. I love that, and I take it.
Can I copyright that?

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yes, but it's yours. It's all yours. So John Jay
was telling me about this bizarre dream head and I thought, well,
maybe maybe you could break it down.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I have lots of weird dreams.

Speaker 6 (03:48):
I thought it was totally cold. Okay, let's go for it.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yah, Okay, So I'm not trying to be funny. I'm
going to tell you the real dream. This is what
really happened. It was like there was a toilet and
in the toilet there was a large like two large,
for lack of a better phrase, turds like the size
of NFL football's two big ones in there. There weren't mine,
and I look at them and they start to come out.

Speaker 6 (04:13):
Important.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
No, I don't think they were mine. I don't think
because I remember the dream kind of like, oh my god,
who did that? And then they come out of them.
I'm Rich's partner, Rich's partner on the other show.

Speaker 6 (04:25):
Okay, okay, I'm just trying to work whose dream is
important to know who's dreaming what?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
Okay? So the giant turds come out of the toilet
and morph into one like weird, like an animal, like
a giant, like a sloth or ant eater kind of
and it starts coming after me and chasing me, and
then it morphs into like a beautiful greyhound dog and
it's friendly and loving me. And that's and I'm like,

(04:50):
what the hell is that about? Like that really stuck
with me. My wife and I also have a dog
rescue and and so I love this.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Is there anything else but you want to show?

Speaker 3 (05:00):
And no, that's it. That's how goes. It's chasing me,
and then it turns round and it turns to a
beautiful dog and it hugs me, and it really stuck
with me. Like it's been about four days, sins, I've
had this dream.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Well, toilet dreams are actually very very common, So don't
worry if you're having them and you're thinking that I'm odd,
You're not. There are the most common dreams because when
you go to the restroom, let's say restroom. It's a
very intimate personal experience, but it's also letting go of
something that no longer serves you. Right, So what you're

(05:32):
doing is it reflects your ability. This dream, for me,
afflexs your ability to face what you'd rather discard and
turn it into something beautiful and healing and self accepting.
So it's actually a really beautiful dream. Despite the sort
of shocking symbolism that the dreaming mind is using, it's
saying that what you're discarding, actually what you're letting go of, right,

(05:57):
and you don't think is useful anymore, you can actually
transform it into wisdom to help others and knowledge to
help others. So because maybe it's it's about an experience
that you've been through, a mindset, a situation, a relationship
that you are letting go of now because it's served
its purpose. But what you are able to do it's

(06:19):
really beautiful. I love this. You are transforming that into
wisdom to personal growth.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
That's dream.

Speaker 6 (06:26):
You explored that dream very positive.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Wow, that's great.

Speaker 6 (06:31):
Initially you're frightened of what you're letting go and it
stills distaste. I think it no longer serves me, I
don't want to have anything to do with it. But
it's saying no, reflect on what you're letting go and
take the wisdom from it.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
But wait a second, that was as far as I
don't wait, I don't think it wasn't my poop, So
it was some right, I don't think it was mine.
Does that matter?

Speaker 6 (06:52):
It wasn't. It doesn't matter because it's the symbolism of
the word isn't. It is what is being discarded. Maybe
are taking thoughts that other people have had and thinking, well,
that doesn't resonate with me. I reject that. But your
dreaming mind is saying, well, hey, open your mind. Look

(07:12):
at what you're rejecting or immediately dismissing. There's value there,
there's whatever is there, there's some kind of wisdom.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
What if it's a dog rescue?

Speaker 6 (07:20):
The dream you have, you see, is trying to help
you learn and grow, and it sometimes will use this ridiculous,
stupid symbolic speak, these stories that don't make sense, but
they do when you just go through them. Think about
the symbolism. Their herds are what has once nourished you
but is no longer needed by the body or yourself.

(07:42):
You're rejecting it.

Speaker 2 (07:43):
If it's a beautiful you're amazing.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
You're pretty good saving a jar.

Speaker 6 (07:51):
Now you describe them magic in every tragic dream symbol.
I'm telling you that's why, that's why I get the
dream the code on big Forums, because I firmly believe
the dreaming mind is your nocturnal intuition, your higher self,
and it's speaking to you in the ancient language of symbolism,
and it will only send you messages for your highest good.

(08:14):
When dreaming, nightmares are gifts.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Oh, nightmares or gifts. When you're dreaming about other people.
Let's say you're in a relationship and you dream about
your significant other, whoever you're with, cheating on you. Is
that dream about you? Or is it about the other person?

Speaker 6 (08:30):
Interesting? Actually, when you dream about strangers, it's more about you.
It's what that's or someone you don't know, say an
acquaintance for somebody that you know but not intimately, that's
more about your mindset, because something about that stranger is
symbolizing an aspect of your mindset. I'm going to refer
to the great Godfather of dream interpretation here. Young. When

(08:51):
you're dreaming about an intimate partner, it tends to reflect
some dynamic of your relationship that's going on that maybe
enough and if there's cheating, seems very common dream as well,
So don't panic. It doesn't mean your partner's cheating or
you want to unless you're thinking about doing that in
waking life. If it happens in the dream stage, it
means that maybe you're cheating yourselves out of quality time

(09:12):
with each other, or that one or what you or
your partner has maybe got a hobby or interest that
you feel is taking them away from you a little
bit and you're a little bit jealous. So that's what
you've got to think. It's something about the dynamic of
your relationship that this this scenario is playing out that
maybe you feel that there needs to be more quality
time and that you're cheating yourselves or your relationship out

(09:33):
as something very important. So it is very It is
very significant when you have that dream about your intimate partner,
whether they're cheating or you're cheating, it's not actually real
life cheating that they want to do or you want
to do. It's about some aspects of your relationship needs
to be looked at that maybe a bit more quality
time spent there, okay, So like just taking your way

(09:56):
from each other in ways that you know, you feel
like life is taking you away from each other, or
you're going in different directions. So it's just basically you're dreaming,
mind nudging you and say, hey, pay attention to what
really matters, because at the end of the day, your
key relationships are the stuff of life and they need
to be nurtured. But that's hard sometimes because the demands
of work, career, life can sometimes take over children as well.

(10:20):
But just pay attention to that dream because it's a
kind of a little warning sign saying that I'm showing
you a little, little little flashlight here. Just pay attention
to something.

Speaker 3 (10:30):
So Resea haven't sed Kyle on our show, she also
had a dream recently or you weren't sure if it
was a dream or real, you said.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Yesterday, okay, Well, so I have two things that I
want to bring up with you. In the first one,
when we brought this up, I was like, oh, I
had a dream, And then I was like, I actually
don't know if this was a dreamer if it really happened,
and it had to do with John Jay and our.

Speaker 6 (10:48):
Show, it really happened in the dream, but in your
mind doesn't know the difference between dreaming and waking, so
of course your mind experienced it as real. Take that
as you will.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
So did you, at some point, John Jay, tell me
that you really liked my hair brush?

Speaker 3 (11:05):
That was real? That would be a terrible dream, high doubt.

Speaker 4 (11:09):
So okay, So then I don't need to bring that
up with you that I absolutely have it in real life.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
It shows you how.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Messed up my brain is.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
I can't tell that.

Speaker 7 (11:20):
Your hair brush, Okay, But I did actually used to
have this recurring nightmare and it happened almost like the
majority of my life, from when I was a kid
into adulthood.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
And it was this dream that I was in a house.
It wasn't always my house, it was just I was
always in a house, and I look out the window
and there is a tornado rapidly approaching, and it's my
job to get everybody into the basement. And sometimes I
don't get everyone in the basement, which means they're toast right,
and it's really stressful, and I usually wake up right

(11:55):
as about the tornado is hitting. So what does that.

Speaker 6 (11:58):
Mean, oh, beautiful? First of all, recurring dreams are your
dreaming mind of using the power of repetition to get
a point across to you, and that you won't have
that dream again when you kind of understand the message
of a dream, because there's always a message in every
single dream, however trivial, and you need to think of
it as tough love. With your dreaming mind. It's constantly

(12:20):
sending you this dream because you're not, in your waking
life truly understanding the meaning of it, and you don't
want it to escalate into a nightmare. That's why they
pay attention to recurring dreams, because sometimes the dreaming mind
will resort to a nightmare just to shock you into
waking up to what it's trying to say. But let's
go to your dream. I love it. Dreaming of a
tornado outside whilst you're in the house does suggest there's

(12:42):
some kind of upheaval that feels just beyond your control.
Yet in your dream you are in the house, showing
that you have in a strength because the house in
dreams is a symbol of the self, and it's a
reminder that calm and steady and safety exists within you
even when life feels turbulent around you. And I love

(13:03):
the fact in your dream you're trying to let other
people know that. You're trying to tell the people you
care about. Look, if you stay calm within, you can
wield you can if you have the inner resilience and
strength and calm, you can weather any storm. I understand that.
I've learned that the hard way through life. You need
to learn it now. It's basically you wanting other people

(13:25):
to find they're inner core and they're in a strength
during times of turmoil.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
That's so good, That's awesome. Okay, I have another dream.

Speaker 6 (13:37):
A calm is she a calm in the storm or not?

Speaker 3 (13:39):
She can't be? She says she's I would say the
time she can be. But when she is not, she
is the tornado.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
Comes the shadow. You all have a shadow side. But
most of the time this dream is saying, you get life.
You get life that you know it's your your perception
you feel about yourself, and it's your inner world that
determines the reality and how I interpret it. You understand
that and you want Sometimes you get frustrated because you
can't understand why other people don't get that. But they

(14:13):
allow their their their mood to be dictated by what's
happening to them. You understand that your mood is up
to you to decide, and the dream is beautifully symbolizing
that like a poem or work of art. It's beautiful.
It's showing you in a kind of poetic way what
your greatest strength is, which is to be the calm

(14:34):
in the storm.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
About that.

Speaker 3 (14:35):
See so far? Are those we think you're negative? Like
turds and tornadoes are positive?

Speaker 2 (14:39):
You need to go get you one of them, tird dreams.
Go get you one of those.

Speaker 5 (14:42):
My next book title, Teresa.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
How do people get ahold of you? Is there an
Instagram account or a website?

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (14:57):
Thank you, I'm very prolific. I have a website ww
dot tree, the Chun dot com, Instagram at the tree.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Can you say that's slower? Can you say that sorr
www dot.

Speaker 6 (15:06):
What www dot Teresa Chung dot com Teresa Chung. My
Instagram handle is at the Teresa Chung. But I'm very prolific. Also,
if you just type me in, I'll come up. I've
been around for decades, dreamed of coding, and written over
one hundred books in this area now and have my
own radio show over here in the UK and dream
the code for ITV this morning on a regular basis

(15:29):
doing national dream callings just like this, and they're so
wildly entertaining, so you never know what people are going
to say when it's dreams.

Speaker 5 (15:36):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
It's unexpected.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
I have a recurring dream that I like to bounce
off at you too. You don't mind, okay, So I
want you when it's so when you know how people swim,
you know what the freestyle stroke is? Crawl stroke? Freestyle?
Do you know that stroke? Okay, freestyle that you guys
get it that this is freestyle. I have this dream
that I can fly, but I can only fly by

(15:58):
doing the freestyle right. So I'm moving like this that
keeps me in the air. And in my dream sometimes
I'm flying around the city, but most of the time
I'm flying above the aisles in a toy store and
I'm flying up and down the aisles looking down, but
I can't get the toy that I want, whatever it is,
because when I stop doing the crawl, I fall. So

(16:19):
I'm doing this this This keeps me in the air.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
The whole time.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
And it and you gotta keep so much they dreams.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
There's so much there. Flying is the ability to rise
above and see the bigger picture, of course, a very
admirable quality. And if you're flying above a toy store
in freestyle, which shows your independent spirit, right, freestyle is independent,
that's the symbolism of BA. But you're flying above a

(16:48):
toy store beautiful. That's about you wanting to reconnect with
your inner child and the power of your imagination. And
maybe you're feeling a bit concerned that maybe your imagination
is taking you know, it's a side show because of
the practicalities, but it's reminding you this dream that freedom
and playfulness can lift you above these limitations. Just let

(17:10):
wander guide you. Don't hold back, stop stop fearing wander
or thinking it's a waste of time. Reconnect with that
inner child, that playfulness, that wander, beautiful dream again showing
you the way forward for a happy, fulfilling life. That's
all your dreams want. It's saying, don't abandon your imagination
and your ability to stop and gaze at something in awe.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Okay, that's very cool. Is the truth about the dream
when you're falling that if you hit the ground you
die in real life?

Speaker 6 (17:40):
Oh no, absolutely not. And I've spent so long trying
to tell people because it ignites fear of dreaming. Then,
because people think dreams happen to them, I want everyone
listening to know dreams don't happen to you. They are
created by your own mindset. Dreams are all about you,
for you, and they start they're all about you, and

(18:01):
they don't happen. You are creating them. And if you
have a dream of falling, it is the number one
most reported dream across the globe. Oh really it feels
that currently, Yes, it is. It's frequently. There is a
dreams chart. I love it that they have a top
one hundred dreams and falling it's always in the top three,
and it does happen. It is a dream that symbolizes
feeling a little bit unsupported. So if you have that dream,

(18:24):
what you need to do is you need to close
your eyes, re enter that dream in your mind's eye,
and actually start flying. Because actually we can script our
dreams in that way. This is dream incubation. I do
a lot of work in that because you need to
tell your dreams what you want to dream about, because
it truly is it's a Disney cliche, but if you

(18:44):
can dream about something in the dream state, you are
so close to manifesting it because your unconscious believes it
to be true. Yeah, that's I mean, it's the most
neglected manifesting tool. Dream work. Okay, you should really decode
your dreams and and and incubate them. If you can
see yourself being happy, successful, flying rather than falling. If

(19:07):
you can see that, your brain believes it's possible. And
when you believe something's possible, that's when magic happens in
your life. It's when you believe you're not enough, or
you are unsupported, or that you're a victim, that's when
you tend to attract that vibration back to you.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
When I was in college, Teresa, we did a whole
semester on dreaming in my psychology class, and we were
supposed to write down our dreams. And I think I
came to the conclusion myself that it's almost like if
you're creating the dreams, it's almost like defragging a computer
in when I wrote down my dreams, in fact, I
did it last night because I knew we're going to

(19:41):
talk to you in my dream really seems like nonsense.
So in my dream, I'm talking to a few people
who are having a conversation with me, And what I'm
noticing is how much they're using my name in the sentence,
like and then Rich, we went to the grocery store,
Rich and that you know, we found we found things
that are on sale, Rich. And I'm like, why are
they saying my name so much? So when I woke up,
I came up thinking that is complete nonsense. That just

(20:03):
must be your brain flushing through things. But when I
tell you that that somebody's mastering their what is that? Then?
If that's nonsense, what could that possibly mean?

Speaker 4 (20:13):
No?

Speaker 6 (20:14):
No, the power of a name. A name has an
energy vibration. And this is a dream symbolizing guidance and
clarity surfacing from within you. It reflects your intuition taking form,
and a reminder that your wisdom and support already live
inside your own mind and voice. Think of your dream
as a poem. That's what you think. Yes, it's nonsense.

(20:36):
I mean often when you read it poem first, it
seems like nonsense and random, and then you have to
go through it and look beneath the surface the meaning right,
And this is what you've got to do when you're
interpreting your dreams it's not literal, it's symbolic. And if
your dreaming mind is telling you your own name over
and over again, wow, that is about your in their wisdom,

(21:01):
your intuition, purposing, and it's reflecting that that's the way forward.
Follow your gut instinct in your waking life, because your
dreaming mind's telling you to do that. So when you
have that still calm voice within during the day, follow it.
Because your dreaming mind is telling you your gut instinct,
more often than not, is correct. Please follow it. And

(21:23):
I love that you mentioned that you've studied dreams in
your psychology courses. That's fantastic because dream work is a
very very important part of self awareness, which is the
beginning of all wisdom. And I've recently written the debut
novel Actually Nightbourne, where that the leads character is a
psychology professor, and that book is a thriller, but it

(21:44):
doubles up as a crash course in dream decoding because
I've figured a lot of people won't read nonfiction books
about the power of the dreaming of mind, and I'm
on a mission to get everybody to wake up with
dream recall and a better understanding of themselves. On their mind,
and I figured that a novel might be one way
to do it for people who don't naturally want to
read nonfiction but want to get lost in a in
a page turner.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
I just looked you up online. You look exactly how
I pictured you would. Yeah, bad ass Mary Potkins. Hey, Well,
one last dream, I want to run by you. This
is a dream I've had since I was a kid,
and I want you to think it's okay. So it's
the Witch from the Wizard of Oz. Think think of
her green face. But she's got perfect gigantic white teeth

(22:26):
and a mean smile. And I think she lives in
my house in the walls, and she can watch me
at all times. And I know she's watching me, but
I'm afraid, so I just kind of I just kind
of do my thing. But I think she's watching me,
and I'm afraid everyone's watched. She's gonna pop out.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
What a beautiful shadow dream. But also, if you know,
with with Wicked everywhere around, your dreaming mind is seizing
on that symbolism. Basically, it suggests that your shadow side,
an unacknowledged part of you, feel threatening yet yet powerful.
This is basically inviting you to face your fears and
transform them into self knowledge and personal strengths. It's shadow work,

(23:03):
isn't it. And also often what we fear about ourselves,
the parts of us, what we fear about ourselves. Often
all they want is our understanding and acknowledgment. And usually
if you could again close your eyes and have a
conversation with that dream which see what she wants to
tell you. Most of the time, she just wants to
be noticed that there's a part of you you know
that you know that is symbolized by her. Have a

(23:26):
little chat with her and let her go.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Well, I had it when I was a kid, but
it stuck with me. It was traumatic. I remember being
I remember my mom waking up and my mom hugging me,
and I was describing that my mom this witch. It
was living in the walls. No, I haven't had it since.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
But your poor mother, child.

Speaker 6 (23:41):
Of dreams of childhood, dreams of monsters. It's the adult
world is scary and unpredictable. So that's what it was.
What it's symbolizing was your fit in a really fairy
tale like childlike way, your fear of growing up. And
you know, adults sometimes in our lives you know when
you're a child, an adult can turn into a monster
that they have a moment where they lose it or whatever,
and it's frightening for a child. So your dreaming mind

(24:03):
is cathartically trying to help you release that fear, using
sort of symbolism from the Wizard of Ours, etc. But
it is also, you know, showing you that ahead life
is a balance between our shadow and our light sides,
and we mustn't fear our shadow. In fact, our shadow
is where all the growth happens and where all the

(24:24):
creativity is. Our shadow is very very important, you know,
and the worst thing we can do is repress or
deny it. What you need to do is dialogue with it. Again.
Nightmare work is very helpful there because you know, writing
down your nightmares, dialoguing when you're awake with the symbols
and what they want to tell you about yourself, so
that you acknowledge it rather than repress it. Because the

(24:46):
worst thing you can do with your shadow side is
to deny it exists, because then it becomes more and
more terrifying. It becomes like Veckner, you know, a monster,
it takes over the beast. Thing you can do with
your shadow side is understand it. Maybe have a joke
with it, because you can't have laughter and fear together.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Vecna is what the turd turned into, like that type
of thing and then really kind of and then it
turned and then it turned into the loving dog. Yeah,
that's what happened. That's the best way to describe to Vecna.
They are for real. But Teresa, it was a pleasure
talking to you. Thank you so much for coming on
our show. You're fantastic.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Come back sometimes.

Speaker 6 (25:19):
Yeah, I would love to Sweet dreams everyone.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Sweet dreams, Teresa, Thank you very much. Good morning, Jason.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
Hey, how's it going on?

Speaker 3 (25:27):
What happened? Man?

Speaker 5 (25:29):
Oh man? So I was listening to you guys podcast
about you know, the bad dating apps, and I'm currently
on just one dating app. You know, I'm new to this.
I'm on a Facebook dating app. Well, this past weekend,
I was supposed to meet up with somebody that's from Mesa.
We've only talked in the phone. We've never I've never

(25:50):
seen her in person or anything like that, but I
have seen explicitive pictures that she sends. Okay, whatever, I'm
still I'm still style about the situation. And so my
son had a game this weekend. I told him. I said, yeah,
I'll meet after two o'clock and she, you know, she

(26:13):
messaged me and said, hey, I'm in Marana. Well I'm
not in Mirana, I'm in Tucson. I'm a little bit
further in, about forty minutes away from Mirana, on the
other side of Tucson. And she got really upset about that.
And I was like, well, what what's going on, And
she's like, well, I'm here. I told you I would
get a hotel room. And I said, yeah, just tell
me where you've got your hotel room, and I could

(26:34):
pick a place that we can engage at, maybe a
restaurant that we can you know, so if we can
see we even enjoy each other before we whatever, you know,
I mean, even decide maybe we can meet up at
a hotel or whatever. And she got really upset and
started saying, because my situation is a little weird, let's
let's just real quick recap. I was in a relationship

(26:59):
for sixteen years with my AX. We have three kids together.
It is weird. I currently live with my acts still.
We still reside in the same residence, different parts of
the house. And because financially right now, I can't just
jump up and even get my own little place. My
ax did cheat on me. Unfortunately we are, we don't

(27:20):
have anything together. We've never been married ever, sixteen years,
never been married. I did propose to her, but with
our kids playing sports, they always came first and they're
in club sports.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Right three, hold on, hold on, hold on. I want
to get you back on track for second, because now
you're like, I did propose to her, but because of
youth sports. Like, okay, so you're going to you're going
to meet this girl from Mesa.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
She different.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
She shows up in Marana and so she has a
hotel room. So you guys have talked about getting intimate,
like she's getting the hotel room. Correct, Okay, okay, okay,
So now why is she mad?

Speaker 5 (27:57):
Well, here's the thing is, she was sending me explicit picture.
It's like this no tomorrow. Well she's mad because I
told her, well, what would you like me to do?
I still I told her I have to get my
hair cut and then I meet you. What was like
me to meet you? And she's like, well I'm in Marana.
I'm like okay, well that's forty minutes away. I don't
know where you want to meet. You're telling me you're
at some bar right now waiting for me to meet.

(28:21):
Say again, so.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
Meet at the bar. What's the problem, right?

Speaker 5 (28:24):
And I had no problem doing and that. I said,
would you like? But I didn't want her to wait
there for forty minutes, you know, I mean, actually you're
gonna been in like an hour, you know, just sitting there.
I had no I said, well, what would you like
me to do? Would you just want to meet me there?
She's like, well, I came down here thinking you were
in Marana. I said, well, no, I don't know why
you thought that. I've never I don't live there. I
live in Tucson's forty minutes away. No problem. She said,

(28:47):
well I knew I should have trusted my gut. And
I said, okay, what does that mean? And she's like,
I should have trusted my gut. I know you still
you're married, You're you're hiding yourself or you're that's your fiance.
And I said, no, not at all, and she goes, well,
guess what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put you on
the APP. And I don't know what she's talking about,

(29:08):
but I guess it's a new app called the Tea App.
So then I got the texas from everybody. You it's
somebody off you're still married, and I was like, I've
never been married ever, never been married. So it went
off and I got all these texts all weekend about
how I'm a liar and everything. It just it was

(29:29):
horrible because she was trashy. I've never I never put
anything out there to her. I never asked her money.
I've never sent it spicial picture. It's just me, my
facial pictures. Her every other morning I got nude pictures.
Now I'm not trying. I'm not gonna say her name,
but it's just like I'm the trashy one because I
wasn't aggressive and say hey let's go get somebod to

(29:50):
eat somewhere first before we you know, so maybe you
want to go back to the hotel by yourself. Maybe
I'm not the one. I'm just trying to make her
respectful for almost herself.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
I told her, you know what I mean, Well, you
gotta stay out those apps, Jason, stay out those apps, dude.

Speaker 5 (30:05):
Just one Facebook app. I don't even do tender any
of that stuff because I don't know what I'm doing.
I'm new to this game, all right.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Well, dude, we're glad you shared that story with this man.
Thanks for listening.

Speaker 5 (30:16):

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
