(00:00):
Appreciate you coming on in the wakeof yesterday's announcement by the President. This
(00:04):
is an executive action offering amnesty tohundreds of thousands of the illegals, and
these are folks who are married toUS citizens. I know you. I
think all of the entire Nebraska delegationand most of the GOP, if not
all, are upset with this.Is there no limit to executive authority?
(00:27):
I guess is the first question ishe can just do this? I guess
you know, it seems as thoughhe can. We try to, We
try to introduce legislation, We tryto bring up things to negate the action
that this President's been doing. Butof course the Democrats don't support us,
and they have the majority. Whatwe're seeing with this new amnesty plan is
(00:52):
obviously a message to illegal immigrants. You know, if you enter our country
illegally, if you stay here longenough, we're going to let you get
away with it. Yeah, andhe has. Rosie and I were just
talking about. I can't remember whodid the poll, but it was pretty
obvious, pretty overwhelming. Sixty twopercent of Americans say they agree with Donald
(01:17):
Trump's plan if he's reelected or ifhe's elected to start mass deportations. Question
from a listener, which is agood one question from Robert for Senator Fisher.
Do you agree with that deportation plan? I agree that President Trump has
had good plans in the past, and he kept our country safer. He
(01:38):
had control over the border. Rightnow, we don't have any control over
the border. We just see himfrom this administration see ways to encourage more
illegal crossing. So I certainly supportPresident Trump. He's had great plans in
the past, like remain in Mexico, build the wall at the border,
(02:00):
make sure we have the law enforcementthere that we need. Those were policies
that worked. Those were policies thatkept Americans safe. That's not a direct
answer to the deportation question. Doyou support that? I think it would
be hard to do, but Ithink we have to be tough on it.
(02:21):
So yeah, I support being ableto identify people who are in this
country illegally. Certainly when they cometo the border, we need to turn
them back. That's why we remainin Mexico is so important. But to
first of all secure the border, that's how you're going to be able to
do it. We have to stopthat flow of illegal immigrants into this country.
(02:44):
It's at what nine million that weknow of right now. We just
have entered just since Biden's been president, right, I'm sorry, just since
Biden's been president the number of somethinglike that. Oh yeah, yeah,
that's just in the last three anda half years that we've seen and increase
like that. But that's got tobe a first step. Of course,
(03:06):
we have to know who's in thiscountry. So I encourage if President Trump
is elected again, which I certainlyhope he is, to be able to
know who's in this country illegally andknow what they're doing. What do you
think about that? The numbers certainlyare trending in his favor in all kinds
of demographics in the Biden Trump race. I guess the pure national number is
(03:32):
within a percentage point, But thenthey ask specific demographic groups and the numbers
are trending in Trump's direction. Howoptimistic are you that Trump will win this
election? I think if the electionwas held right now, President Trump would
definitely win, and I hope thatcarries through to November. What we see
(03:53):
here is a clear, clear choicebetween failure and strength, and that's why
I'm supporting President Trump. Interesting, isn't it? The White The White House
has come up with a new terminologythey call cheap fakes. Well when when
(04:14):
the GOP, well, they callit deep fakes. They say, hey,
they've actually doctored so to make itwas Caye Jean Pierre, who's remarkably
unqualified for her job and extremely incompetent. She calls it cheap fakes, but
what she means is deep fakes, which is actually an AI video production component
(04:34):
and elements, which it's not.And they're saying, well, these guys
have doctored a bunch of videos tomake it look like this guy would walk
off a cliff, to make itlook like this this guy is shaking hands
with ghosts. You've seen him inperson? Is he everything we see on
video? Senator Fisher, you knowI don't have any more first ten knowledge
(04:54):
of his helston than you guys do. But I've seen these videos, and
it's a across the media that areplaying these videos. They are not fake.
They are not fake. Americans knowthat Nebraskans know that the President Biden,
in many instances is he is confused, he's disoriented, he doesn't speak
(05:18):
clearly. To be honest with you, it's very sad to watch. But
this is also dangerous because we're watchingit. We're concerned. Americans are all
concerned about, you know, what'shappening before our eyes to Biden, but
our adversaries, our enemies, arewatching this too, and that puts america
(05:39):
security safety at risk. Yeah, and I don't say this with any artists
and joy whatsoever. I mean tome. I mean what happens when an
actual, honest to God, inreal time emergency international incident happens, A
situation room type incident happens, andJoe Biden is at you know, two
(06:01):
in the morning or four in themorning or something like that, Well,
I don't I don't think anything goodhappens. And that's and that's why Americans
are really really concerned here. That'swhy we hear to talk about the president's
physical and mental health. It iscoming out in the open more and more
and more. And that's why wecan't as a country re elect somebody who
(06:26):
who projects weakness, who who doesn'tseem to know where he is at times,
who's kind of on autopilot after beingin political office for over fifty years.
That's that's the danger here. Senatoralways good to have you on.
Appreciate the time, Thank you,you have a good day there in a
(06:47):
belly of the beast.
