Speaker 1 (00:01):
You're on board the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show with
legendary fisherman Eric Brandon, an extreme angler Joe Hector, powered
by Mercury Marine.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Go boldly, list of fish. Let's make days.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Yeah, Buddy Hoy, Snapper Chips, Welcome to the Nautical Ventures
Weekly Fisherman's Show approaching. You're number nineteen.

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Snapper Chips.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Snapper Chips on the back of those from Fredo Lay
the first thing in the morning. Okay, money tasty, Yeah,
Buddy Chips back at night forty Jeff, thanks for flying
the ship. Crazy match. Stephen J. Gray, Thank you very much.

Speaker 5 (00:40):
For good man and how you guys are reeling this morning?
Fredo Lay and Snapper. I don't know if that's goes together.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Flavor for Freedo Lay Snapper Chips fight him at the
seven eleven. Yearest jew, Yeah, there you go. So I
got dressed extremely warm this morning, think it'd be another
to be morning. But it's not really as bad as usual.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Like fifty two, forty eight, forty seven weird. It's been nippy, man,
you know what I mean. It's been cold, but not
too bad this morning, except stepping outdoors. Don't overdress like
I did. Let me go me too, got your Raiders jersey?
I bought you a year ago or so, two years
I spent a fortune on his shirt. By the way,
because you're hyped on of Raiders for about three games.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
This special. This is our playoff run shirt. This is
when we went to the playoffs.

Speaker 5 (01:25):
It does look good, by the way, that was special.
That's anything good about it.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
This is what this is. Two years ago we were
in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
And then if you're watching the Facebook street, because you
have a shirt more obvious than minus is fishing a
credit across the chest area fishing, which shows all the
best about fishing.

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Well you have yours about fishing. And then Joe has
is about losing.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
I mean, it's okay fishing for losers. We were friends,
I'm still friends. I'm just calling it out.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Man, come a man from a Dolphins fan.

Speaker 6 (01:55):
I mean, we're still ahead of the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Whatever. Man. So jim O tom Us is out in
the Everglades and he might have a sketchy phone signal.
So I think Jeff just said he's hooked up. I
want to grab him that before does fade on us.
That's a good idea. So if you do like a
short maybe less than a half hour intro, we can't
have him on the program. Bring him on there.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
No, it's your turn. I did last week's turn. It's
your turn.

Speaker 7 (02:19):
Man.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
It fears no fish. He travels the globe in search
of the largest predatory species, sticks his hand down stone
crabbed clog holes, and comes out with one digit, but
fears nothing or no man except the two guys on
this show. I can't stand you the one. It's the one,
the only jim O Thomas.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
That was pretty good, moderate intro.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Especially the last part where I can't stand either one
of the hosts.

Speaker 8 (02:47):
So I was good, very accurate.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
Oh thank you jim Bo for validating that one.

Speaker 9 (02:53):
Man.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Very good.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
I'm on the air man.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
We got it out there, a good standers.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
He just came out of nowhere too.

Speaker 10 (03:02):
I didn't hear a word, and all of a sudden
he's like, that's accurate.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
So you're in the ever Glades, Jim Bow, we got
a signal thing.

Speaker 8 (03:10):
Gosh, yeah, now I was working fine. I wasn't quite
sure what the situation would be because every now and
then it does or doesn't work. But yes, we're here.
So it's all good talking about fishing.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
How's the Everglades with all these cold.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Fronts going on?

Speaker 8 (03:26):
It was it's not cold now, but it was cold
yesterday in the day before, quite cold, just like back
in the city as well. So we're actually we're over
in chuck Lesky Everglade City and we've been over here
fishing the last couple of days and we're going to
fish some more today and go home tomorrow. But cold,

(03:47):
but nice weather other than cold, and we're dressed for it,
so it's not too big of a deal. Unfortunately, like
I said, it's warm today or warmer, and despite the cold,
I thought it might really screw up the fishing. But
it's been pretty good fishing over here. We've had some
nice snook catching release, we've had some nice red fish.

(04:08):
Yesterday we caught a pile of big sheeps head, like
thirty of them. And I've come over here a fair
amount of times over the years and I haven't caught
thirty sheep said in my whole life. And we caught
probably thirty of them yesterday. I don't know. Maybe the

(04:30):
cold weather got them going, some nice sized ones and
not just us. We've got a whole group of guys
over here, so a lot of us ended up catching
sheep said, I didn't keep any sheep said, we let
them all go, but good action. What else do we have?
Some black drum, a lot of sea trout, so it's
a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
Jimbo, by the way, I've caught those back in the day.
I was using the live shrimp back then. And they
have this technique of those like sheep like teeth. There's joe.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
Yeah, they nibble that shrimp right off that hook.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Man. They're pretty ingeniously.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
They're a great fight too.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
They are tasty, by the way they are.

Speaker 8 (05:08):
Yeah, little these are gonna be tasty for somebody else
since we turn them loose.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
We uh.

Speaker 8 (05:14):
We were using shrimp as well, but dead shrimp on
a jig. Okay, instead of getting a live shrimp, I
just have a lot of debt shrimp and put it
on a jig and cast it out there. And we
were catching them like crazy. So and we got like
a little tournament going on. And the sheep said, count
our little tournament for a few points. So good, good

(05:36):
time was had by all.

Speaker 10 (05:37):
You know what's interesting, Jimbo is the snook, Because wasn't
it like thirty eight thirty nine over there in the morning,
like a couple of days ago.

Speaker 8 (05:46):
Uh, I'd say it was probably in the forties, mid
to high forties. I don't know how cold it was.
It was just very cold.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Cold.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Show me that got of thirty No, because because the snook,
you know, you think that.

Speaker 10 (06:04):
They're like really touchy with with these cold fronts, right,
Maybe not so.

Speaker 8 (06:10):
So I called a few guys as I was coming
over here, and they said, oh, this cold weather is
probably not gonna be great for the snook. We didn't
catch as mini as we normally do, but we did
catch some in My brother Rick had an eleven and
a half pounder, which was a frigging beautiful overslot one yesterday.
So yep, and if I'm gonna catch one, the bigger

(06:32):
the better. The one I caught was not He was
maybe eleven and a half inches versus eleven and a
half pounds. But that's all right. But yeah, so maybe
today with it warmed up, it'll be even better. So
but you know, also talking offshore back home, we fished

(06:53):
a couple of days earlier in the week before we
came over here, and it was kind of tough out
in the deep water. There was a few kings being caught,
mostly on live bait, and a couple dolphin called, but
very few. And I was out in that deep order
I couldn't catch anything or get any bite. So I
went up on the reef and we did our button

(07:14):
troll and gig and we ended up catching some nice
months up to about twelve pounds. I guess this was
on Wednesday, with the glass day we fished off shore,
so we saved the day with some month snappers. So
that's still an option if you're going out and if
you get some live baits and see if you can

(07:34):
catch a kingfishing, there's always a chance at a sale
as well. But a lot of guys were sale fishing,
but they weren't sale catching.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
You know. Jim Warrior chuck Osky by the way, that's
a great place to get stone crabs. They have guys
that are bringing right there.

Speaker 8 (07:49):
Joe fresh right, I know that, so I don't need that.
I can go catch my own sh not spend forty
dollars a pound three.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Remaining fingers down a hole. You could actually buy a
few and keep a couple of digits. I'm just thinking
it's just.

Speaker 8 (08:04):
Now I'm not that angry at them. I'll I'll let
all you rich radio guys buy them and I'll go
catch fine.

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Oh you're rich radio guys. All right, man, So when
you give it back home, Man, what's your trip over tomorrow?

Speaker 8 (08:21):
They were fishing today coming home to Okay?

Speaker 4 (08:24):
All right, But that's interesting.

Speaker 10 (08:26):
I mean that the whole report. You know what the
sheep's had, you guys killed it over there. I mean
the snook. I would have never imagined i'd hear snook
today with reports, So I think it's cool different.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
I think the sheep said thing was kind of a
banger report. Yeah, I haven't seen one in forever. They're
they're here, never see them. Weird, very cool.

Speaker 8 (08:54):
Yeah, I think the further north you go, like I'm
in Miami, they're pretty uncommon. I see them diving every
now and then. I don't know that I've ever caught
one in Miami, but they I think the further north
you get, they catch them on the East Coast, but
then over here in the Gulf side they're pretty prevalent,
you know, up to Texas. I guess the whole whole

(09:15):
golf golf of America.

Speaker 10 (09:17):
Yeah, my grandpa used to fish for them in Palm Coast,
and that's like way north, Okay, So I mean yeah,
they go up there.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
You know it's strange about Jimbo though. This is one
guy catches all these great edible fish joke and he
lets them all go because I'll tell you I know
why he doesn't eat fish. He's a captain.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
I can attest to that. I don't really eat fish either.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
You don't eat fish?

Speaker 10 (09:40):
Well, I had mercury poisoning. I can't really stomach it anymore.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
No, yours is a steroid injection. There's just steroids, not
mercury poisoning. Man. You you just know too many juice.

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (09:57):
That's how you got the guns man. We know you're
juiced up, bro, you're juice. It's just slow Steve. When
we get low on the show, you know the bar
is very low on his blugrab.

Speaker 6 (10:06):
You know that that's a sewage low there.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
That's what balls and strikes man, Jim Beam, have a
great time and the ever glads make it safely out
of their buddy. Get back on the flyer and have
a great weekend.

Speaker 8 (10:17):
Brother, Okay, you got it. Guys, have a great weekend
and good luck fishing.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Everybody see it, but you got it. I got a
big thank you, Joe. I want to say thanks for
the brand new year, and you're a special group. Welcome,

them enough for actually uh uh spending a dime to

(10:55):
that Notical Adventures does pay the fee every month to
radio station to keep this thing on the air. So
I just want to throw some special props. Thank you, Roger,
Thank you Roger, thank you, mister Moore.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
And I just want to throw in there too.

Speaker 10 (11:09):
I have literally grown up with these guys, so I
met them right when I graduated college.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Remember when they were off with ninety five and.

Speaker 4 (11:18):
A reef tank in there? Yeah for him, That's how
I met them.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
The beginnings are very humble by They have no a C.
No man, I went to that store and I met
John grow there. He worked, he worked at my sailboat.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Big fans because there was no a C.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
It was so basic and brutal. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:37):
Why why is Eric thanking them? Is it like, does
he want to pay raise or something. Something's going on.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
I'm just following.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
It's gratitude to those who keep the show on the radio.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
He's smelling that.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
I'm smelling Joe, nothing under like Steve. Okay, normally there
would be. This is a total.

Speaker 10 (11:56):
But I will say, you know, I mean they are
for thank you. I mean you guys have been on
the show forever.

Speaker 4 (12:02):

Speaker 4 (12:46):
You shit a picture he posted of his knee.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
I saw the scar, I saw that peacock bass. They
were huge this week here and that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
See, isn't that all weird? Man?

Speaker 10 (12:56):
It's been so cold in the forties, even thirties in
north and they're catching snook and peacock.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
It's just weird, dude. Where's the planet going?

Speaker 10 (13:05):

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Yeah, this SPAN's all beat up, but he gets out
to every rose to shoot Titanian knees and goes.

Speaker 8 (17:57):
At it man.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Yeah, I got to see one of those knees. Uh,
it was in my feet.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
That gross photo man blowed up with stuffes. Anyway, I
guess waist high is not too bad. I don't know.
Let's talk to one of the only alan the man.

Speaker 23 (18:15):
That would be knees high.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Yes, oh, knees up. You're looking sharpa.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
He's thinking if he doesn't have his knees or legs anywhere,
would change his name to Bob.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
It's the greatest old joke on the planet. Thanks Steve
O very much.

Speaker 27 (18:33):
Anyway, on that dead horse again, yeah, well we do
recycle a lot.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
Of the horse is still live. She's in the backyard
poop and now thank you.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I saw on Facebook this week you have some banging,
banging peacock days. Man, talk about it.

Speaker 27 (18:48):
Bro Aside from the kne everybody's complaining about the saltwater
bite not being so great. Well, I can say I
had a really good bite this week with with the
peacocks bargemouth snook. I found it's typical this time of
the year when things cool down. You have to look
for the structure, which means bridges and docks, places like that,

(19:10):
trees in the water, and we're throwing the suspending jerk
baits along with my baglely bno bee. It also works too,
especially for trolling them, but sometimes I troll to find
the fish. When we get a hit, we stop and
we turn around. We start fishing in those areas and
there's usually a bunch of them there, is what I've
been finding. And I mean, I don't think I had
a day this week that we didn't catch under thirty

(19:33):
fish on a given day. And that's five days in
the water, and the one day we caught I think
it was fifty some.

Speaker 23 (19:40):
Another day we've got forty some fish.

Speaker 27 (19:44):
You know, that's not me counting of courses to clients counting,
but they're pretty good about it, using smaller jerk baits
along with the baglymnobes, and.

Speaker 23 (19:55):
You want to be down that's where the fish were hitting.

Speaker 27 (19:57):
They were not hitting on the top at all, but
once you got on them, there was a lot of
fish to be caught.

Speaker 23 (20:01):
So, I mean, it was really a good week.

Speaker 10 (20:03):
What's interesting. And I said this even before talking to Jimbo.
So Jimbo in his report said he was catching snooky
And you're telling me, Alan, you're catching all these peacock
yet we've had these coal fronts where it's been in
the forties. I mean, that's interesting, isn't it.

Speaker 27 (20:19):
Yeah, Well, well, three of the mornings I got out there,
it was one morning with forty seven degrees at the ram,
another morning with forty eight degrees, and there was another
forty some degree morning as well on there and even
at the other two mornings it was still on the
colder side. It wasn't freezing or anything that is cold.
But you know, to me, it's actually easier to find
to fish this time of year because they kind of

(20:41):
bunch up in spots.

Speaker 8 (20:42):
Right.

Speaker 27 (20:43):
They're not on the beds, they're not spawning, they're not
looking to spawn.

Speaker 23 (20:46):
They they it's I guess survival mode.

Speaker 27 (20:49):
Maybe I don't know, but they are biting and you
just got to find the schools. And to me, it's
not sitting in one spot. You've got to hit spot
after spot after spot and you'll find those two spots.
And they said, but the bite, but the bite's been good.
It's just sub surface. It's not exactly what I like
to see.

Speaker 23 (21:06):
I like top order.

Speaker 27 (21:07):
But but you know, you gotta go with what's going on,
and that's that's what's going on right now. And using
that other stuff is actually takes too much time. Maybe
once you find a good spot, you could use that
other stuff, you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
By the way, man, I know he's been telling the
other stuff, Joe.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
He's like driving, weeding through traffic, trying not to hit.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Very proud of him.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Good.

Speaker 23 (21:29):
I do not want that button. I don't want the
candy button to hit.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Ye step up the period, lady.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Yeah, got beers everywhere. I was out in and out there.
It's just peers everywhere.

Speaker 4 (21:47):
Second spider Monkey nineteen.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Joe Shoulder. Man, you brought it on yourself man, not us.
But speaking of his speaking of.

Speaker 27 (22:01):
A spider, it reminds me that we were catching lars
mouth on a bait called the spy bait, which is
a US every bait and has got two props on it,
one on the front, one on the back.

Speaker 23 (22:11):
But it's basically a piece of lead with two props
on it. And they were retrieving it. Stay back to one.
Guy wanted to prove to me that he could catch
a peacock on it. Yes, eventually he did, but but
but it was not to.

Speaker 3 (22:23):
Normal at all.

Speaker 23 (22:24):
But the large mouth, we're eating the crap out of it.

Speaker 27 (22:26):
So so we uh, And we caught lars mouth this
week up to five pounds, so it was some nice
large mouth. A lot of quality peacocks and the three
to four pound range. And by the way, I do
have a couple openings next week. If somebody's interested, I'm
happy to take them out.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Nine.

Speaker 23 (22:43):
I'm trying to, but you're talking too much. N N
zero nine three six second one.

Speaker 3 (22:52):

hoping so too.

Speaker 3 (23:36):

Speaker 23 (23:45):

but they had to bring it back for four.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
Yeah, I don't blame you, man, I have no fun.
Trust me.

Speaker 23 (24:02):

Speaker 4 (24:07):

Speaker 3 (24:08):
I mean you're more mature.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
Yeah, mature.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
I like that. You didn't mean him. Are you referring
to me your partner?

Speaker 4 (24:15):
No?

Speaker 3 (24:15):
No, are you looking at me and saying that? No,
you just dug your ass into a giant pit there, pinhead. Okay,
it could be a.

Speaker 28 (24:23):
Long hour and a half.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Yet it's gonna be a long hour and half ballad.
He just said, said this thing. You know you're right mature.
You know you looked at me and said it sucks
getting old. I mean you're looking at me. Man.

Speaker 4 (24:37):
Well, well no, because you get out of it. Show,

Speaker 3 (29:41):
That bad stick in that room. Oh my god, jo
see what's happening with the Reward Fishing fleet and the
legendary Captain Wayne Coop.

Speaker 33 (29:50):
Wayne, Hey, what's up, gentlemen? Good, good morning, Good Wayne.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
I put a phos on the funnel if you sent
me on Facebook last night with the problem for the
show if you hold a couple help a wicked big
look off a bank somewhere.

Speaker 8 (30:02):
Man.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Was that?

Speaker 24 (30:05):
Uh?

Speaker 33 (30:05):
That was that was earlier when the late October bullet
run came down the inter coastal and you know, they're
they're up and down in Hollywood in different places. And uh,
Captain Ryan Homestead with the works for me.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
That's his little boy, and.

Speaker 33 (30:20):
And uh yeah, he's he's a he's a he's a
crack ass fisherman boy for a kid, he said, set
a bunch of world records. He set a bunch of
junior world records on my boat with you know, with
his dad, his dad. And you know, oh, they've also
got they got a cool little YouTube channel that's really
neats called yeah yeah, Shoreline Squad. And I mean, this
kid is so entertaining, you know, But.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
Question, Wayne, I've never heard crack gass being a compliment,
so crack ass is a compliment for somebody.

Speaker 33 (30:51):
I guess it's all in the context. I just didn't
take it. He's an amazing fisherman For like a ten
year old little.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
Cracks fisherman to jack that line and steal it. I
love it. So on the reward fleet, Wayne, what's been
happened this week.

Speaker 33 (31:07):
Buddy, Well, we had, you know, crazy good business after
the holiday. Of course, a lot of folks in town,
a lot of people wanted to do things, and thank gosh,
we had we had really pretty good. Most of the
wet time.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
Was great weather.

Speaker 33 (31:20):
We did have a blowday or two, but when it
blows from the west for us, it doesn't matter, it's fine.
It stays nice and calm off.

Speaker 23 (31:25):
Sure.

Speaker 33 (31:26):
So the fishing is was so so. I mean we
did catch We caught quite a few sailfish on the
big base. We try to throw out big base. You
do know, we have live bit available every trip is
if the guys can catch it, we put it on
the boat and it's available to our customers. So that's
that's a huge plus this day and age, you know,
to have every advantage you possibly could give your customers.

(31:47):
So so that's that's kind of what's going on. The
little kings are still around and much snappers at times
a bit like crazy, but you know it's amazing. They're
all seventeen inches long. It's it's you know, it's like
when they made the when they made the rules, sixteen inches,
they were all fifteen. So they're growing and maybe it's
maybe it's working. But I have places I can anchor

(32:07):
the boat and catch one hundred muttons that are short,
and I won't do it because it's just not healthy
for the fish because you're gonna kill a bunch of them.
We're probably releasing you know, i'd say forty or fifty
a week, and we use sequalizers. We release them the
right way. We use equalizers. We use circle hooks at
all bottom ricks. Also in the hook grigs, we use
circle hooks. You know, I get it and my crew

(32:28):
gets it, so you know, doing it the right way. Folks,
spend the money on a sequalizer. Don't poke holes in
them because you don't know what you're poking. A hole
in your heart, you don't know where you're poking in
half the time unless you do a lot of this stuff.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
So anyway, case folks are new to the show, and
maybe I know what a sequelizer is, Wayne, Oh, I don't, Sorry,
I don't know. I know what they are, but I
don't know what it is.

Speaker 33 (32:51):
Well, you know, there's some local guys here that actually
designed a tool that you put it on heavy rod
and real electrics are great for this, like a five
pound lead on you You can drop a ten pound
grouper down with it. You snap it on the lip
and just send it down and you can set it
at fifteen hundred hundred and fifty feet deeper. You catch
the fish deeper, release them. And studies have shown they

(33:12):
put cameras on these things. They've even shown snowy groupers
going down to they get really happy the deeper they get.
Their body was down at a high pressure area, so
when it comes up, it's they they get. You know,
they get impolized and it's horrible for them and they'll
die floating around the top. So, you know, poking holes
in them, if you know exactly where and how to

(33:33):
do it is least best fact. The best best thing
is to get them back down there.

Speaker 8 (33:39):
Man.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
You'll see grouper come up wining and muttons come up
where they have their big bladder coming out of their mouth.
Oh gosh, yeah, and stick it. Damn fish ain't back down.

Speaker 33 (33:50):
The last thing you Yeah, and the last thing you
do is poke them in the stomach. I mean, and
that wonderful. You're giving them an altar immediately.

Speaker 4 (33:58):
Then I know it's like they throw up their gut
and then you stick a hole in the guy twice
in the head. Yeah.

Speaker 33 (34:06):
Yeah, but they're happy for about ten minutes.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
So yeah, I'm glad you And yeah, practice conservation.

Speaker 33 (34:13):
So that's a great tool. It is a great tool
to use. And also having the needle with the whole
with the venting in it. You know, venting works. But
you know there is incredible FWC has incredible videos showing
you exactly how. So I just encourage any fishermen to
take the time, don't touch your fish, don't touch your
fish with your bare hands, and get a lot of bill. Look,
if you're gonna harvest the fish, i e. Kill it,

(34:35):
throw it in the ice, let it die humanly or
or you know, they've kind of proven that if you
take a knife and you you humanely kill them right
in the brain, that apparently they release less bad stuff
hormones into into their into the fish. It's a whole
new thing that I forgot. It has a Japanese name.
I don't know what it is. I have to ask

(34:56):
some of the guys. But yeah, there's people really into this.
But yeah, they humanly kill the fish, and apparently the
quicker they kill it, the less toxins are released into
the into the flesh seats. So that's kind of it's
just taking it a step up, which that's up to
whoever's doing it.

Speaker 3 (35:11):
But what I'm saying, way, the guy who follows Jim Matthew,
he don't have a thing going on. He likes to
put spears brain holes. Here we go, he's diving. I
have a big issue with that. But that's all on
the topic. Okay, we all know you do Eric, you
know I totally get that way.

Speaker 33 (35:30):
Let me let me throw you quick. I know you
guys are running hard. But yeah, there's something going on
now and it's just starting and it affects our fishing
off South Faras for the fifty years I've been the captain.
Is when the shrimp start running. You got to remember
something A lot of folks don't think about this. Even
though the grass beds are there are some issues with
some discipline. We still got a lot of shrimp coming

(35:52):
out of Miami, out of downtown Miami and all around.
Keep his cane all around the flats where they released
from the grass beds, everything in the ocean, each shrimp, everything.
Many years ago, a lot of people may not know this.
Kingfish love shrimp. Backerel love shrimp. We used to fish
for kingfish with big live shrimp and two wire and
little trouble hooks. But but my point of mentioning this

(36:13):
is that fish will You will consistently find really slow
fishing with the shrimper porn now because the fish are
all fall everything's out there sucking. Everything you catch will
be spitting up shrimp. Even sailfish will spit up shrimp.
It's amazing. So just kind of keep that in mind,
your bucking, your bucking nature there.

Speaker 3 (36:31):
So why not say something that was a crack ass report, man, sir, awesome.

Speaker 33 (36:40):
Reward fleet out of downtown Miami, fish Amiami dot com
Fishingmiami dot Com reward fleet on Facebook. Look out the
pictures and gloat and just.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
You can be jealous the kid just google crackass. It's
right to the rewards that's.

Speaker 33 (36:55):
Right, and bring your bring your cute little cat crackass
fisherman free thirteen you're under It.

Speaker 3 (37:00):
Just sounds better when he says he just said it
with a little more tone. Don't know what it is.
It was great, man, have a beautiful day.

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Shall we go to see Joey?

Speaker 4 (37:19):
I'm sharing the show by the way.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
You know, I was thinking if I was diving out
the scene right there, I am minding my business, just
diving with my tanks, and all of a sudden I
come around the corner and I go around this coralhead
and I just happened to see a Matthew right there.
I would probably drop my tank and freak out and
just hall ass because I would be so scared of
what I just saw. Yeah, he's quite the sight of

(37:47):
the water. Yeah, like Meglodon kind of stuff, you know
what I mean. It's kind of scary, dude. Yeah, you
don't agree with me. Oh, I forgot. He gives you
lobsters where you can't this that's right in my bed
of course. Yeah.

Speaker 34 (38:01):
Hey, Matthew, someboddy, what are you there?

Speaker 3 (38:04):
We're here, man, are you there?

Speaker 6 (38:06):
You put your fire.

Speaker 33 (38:10):
Listen.

Speaker 34 (38:10):
I'm telling I'm telling you right now. It's freaking cold
out there.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
Okay, yeah, yes you went.

Speaker 34 (38:19):
I was died in years today. It was like fifty
five at the top, you know that, and then under
the water, wha, man, it got really cold. My computer
said seventy one. That was like two weeks ago. It
was seventy seven or something like that. I was like,
holy smokes. I had a seven five milon with a

(38:42):
hood in the vest, so that saved my butt. It
still was dog gone chili. The good news is the
good This is the good news. Actually really decent visibility
under the water because there's been no you know, rain,
rain or storm water or anything. They haven't released any
anything from the lake. It's really been crystal clear, been

(39:03):
really really nice and gentle currents. You know. It was
kind of trying to make up its mind here. So
they started off with a south current, then turned halfway
through the dive.

Speaker 35 (39:13):
To a north current.

Speaker 34 (39:14):
And that happens. So you just go with the flow.
That's why you carry a flag. And I was on
the Lady Go Diver had a Dixie Divers in Deerfield
Beach and it was great. I had a great time,
good good group of people kept John put me on
the spot. Now when I say that we did the
third reef, okay, third reef is the real pre stuff

(39:36):
with the west facing walls fifty foot at the top
sixty sixty five at the bottom. But here was the deal.
There were no lobster in the wall. None, none, okay,
But you had to know, and this is this is
the this is the tip of the day. You had
to know. Go fifty feet to the west and there's
these like three four foot around little low I call them,

(39:58):
low profile, not even a foot high, little little scattered
reef and Doug on it. Oh, there's one up, there's
two up, there's four. Holy smokes, it wasn't it was good.
Susanie and I got like nine on the first dive.

(40:19):
Yeah right, they were nice. They were nice. You gotta remember. Yeah,
we got nine, but we probably caught another three or
four that were short.

Speaker 36 (40:28):
So that was good.

Speaker 34 (40:29):
A good we're working the whole time. That kind of
keeps you warm. The second dive, this is this is
a good story. Captain John puts us on the on
the second reef because we only needed three more to
get our limits right, six per person per day, you
know the limit, right, So we're cruising along on the edge,

(40:49):
and wouldn't you know, wouldn't you know we get into
Chucky's Hole. Chucky's Hole is just north of the hills
for Inlet, and you know, we we go Chucky's Hole
because Chucky found it, you know. So that's that's you
know that, that's why we call Chucky's so nice nice
probably two in her foot around five foot drop off,

(41:11):
a little cave in there. Well, as we get in there,
here's a little school little amberjack and I look over
it and I know Susie's gonna shoot it, right, so
she shoots.

Speaker 23 (41:21):
The freak amberjag.

Speaker 34 (41:25):
Now wait a minute. That the bad news is she
did not shoot it in the brain hole. That's the
bad news. Oh yeah, So this dog on fish is
running like one hundred feet up down all the way around.
She's got a reel on with line. So now she
is trying to get to the fish as quick as
she can. She does well somehow, she trying to grabs

(41:49):
it and puts it into the sand to put the
final you know, knife in it. It rips off and
swims away. Oh, he smokes, I'm like dog gone. It
does a lot of work. However, we looked over and
there's gotta be I'm gonna I'm gonna put it up
on Facebook here pretty soon. It had to be a
four hundred pound, six foot long the Goliath Cooper. I

(42:14):
mean he was huge, twice the size of me, twice
the size of me, and he comes over, he's within
twenty feet of us. He's he wants a free meal.
I mean that's the deal.

Speaker 30 (42:24):
Right.

Speaker 34 (42:24):
So, and the problem with glass.

Speaker 3 (42:27):
That, Jim, they just come in, you know that, Jim.
Get to the point, now, man, we got all night.

Speaker 34 (42:33):
The point is that that Goliath Cooper followed us the
entire trip down the reef. We had to travel another
five hundred feet and every time I look behind me,
there's the Goliath Cooper dog on it.

Speaker 4 (42:45):
Come on, well, leave the group's revenge.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
That's a great point, Joe, Right, that Goliath wanted to
suck Jim down.

Speaker 4 (42:59):
He's like the guy that shot shooting.

Speaker 3 (43:02):
All my baby.

Speaker 6 (43:03):
Yeah, my cuss of you wanted to him down. That
doesn't sound good.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
Phrase that he wanted to gel autroopers.

Speaker 34 (43:13):
Yeah, yeah, we can't shoot the group. That's but holy smokes,
dot gun, that was huge. It was I'll post up
a cap I'll send you a couple of shots. It's unbelieved.
I'm just looking at the video now, holy smoke. Well
you know, really pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
Go back to that point back about being humane. Okay,
you claim that spearing of fish is so much more
humane than having a hooking the lip or whatever. And
you're fighting it.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
She shot the a j Joe, I knew you're gonna
get and the spear pulled.

Speaker 3 (43:40):
How well the fish is faring now today with a
big quarterage. He's not okay, he might not. How would
you know, Jim, He's doing fine.

Speaker 34 (43:53):
He swam away card You just telling telling people about
is putting some kind of stick down something some you know,
fish's mouth.

Speaker 8 (44:10):
Is going on.

Speaker 4 (44:13):
Yeah, you know, you give it a fancy name and
you think you can just stick it down.

Speaker 3 (44:18):
Goliath's payback for shooting all the group and now you're
back on the side again. You're so freaking wishy washy
manat Turncoat.

Speaker 34 (44:29):
I tolerate you can tolerate the chilly, the chili on
the willie if you can tolerate it, Okay, because it

Speaker 42 (53:37):

Speaker 3 (54:26):
You're a great guy, man. Thanks a lot, and to
catch him up, bro, do your thing.

Speaker 25 (54:30):
Bro.

Speaker 5 (54:30):
Wow, that's the first time we've had somebody call in
on starlink and also probably the coldest weather fisherman.

Speaker 3 (54:35):
We've ever had. Is that good stuff?

Speaker 6 (54:38):
He's in a frigid tundra.

Speaker 3 (54:40):
Man. So we had a bet, is shot rolls on
the water or not? Today?

Speaker 6 (54:44):
We all said he's on the water.

Speaker 3 (54:45):
We all three sit on the water. But an agreement.

Speaker 4 (54:48):
Okay, but what's the second part of that?

Speaker 3 (54:50):
Was a yak or a boat?

Speaker 43 (54:52):
Right?

Speaker 3 (54:52):
And we all guess jack yep, Yeah, let's see how
wrong or right we might be, shall.

Speaker 4 (54:56):
We He might be on a boat.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
Bring on your buddy, man, I gotta go.

Speaker 4 (55:00):
Oh my gut, he's on a boat. Bring him on,
all right, captain.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
Shot, we'll watch up guys, you water man, I don't know.

Speaker 35 (55:11):
I'm on the water and I'm on a boat.

Speaker 36 (55:14):
I'm on a boat and it's.

Speaker 3 (55:15):
Not big enough.

Speaker 4 (55:16):
Man, dude, I went with my gut. I knew it.

Speaker 3 (55:20):
Okay, we will at least all three of us have
it right. He was fishing, Okay, yes, I guess wrong
with the okay, but badass out throw the water und
Shoppy actually crazy great man.

Speaker 35 (55:32):
Yeah it's rough, man, I don't feel like a too
hardcore record here. And that guy called Star like it's
right now.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
He's a twenty three oether catching whatever hell he's catching commercially.
But anyway, yeah he's so what's it like, other shot Shoppy?
It sounds like it's a little snotty.

Speaker 42 (55:47):
Yeah, yeah, it's.

Speaker 35 (55:48):
Rough, but the man was a little off today. It's
a little gusty, a little rough, a little splashy. But uh,
we'll say. I mean it's a full moon couple things away.
You gotta at least give it a shot that time.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
Here I gave him credit. Remember last week and joelways
said he's out there and he goes, yeh, I'm out here,
I'm freezing my ass off, and he goes, actually, I'm
heading back in. It's just too damn cold. Yeah right,
But at least he puts the time and it goes
out and tries it. You know what I mean?

Speaker 35 (56:11):
Oh heck, yeah, man, he's he's like, hey, you can't
catch him from the house.

Speaker 3 (56:15):
Yeah, man, iron man, So what he fishing? Ward?

Speaker 36 (56:18):
Dude?

Speaker 3 (56:18):
Whatever bites are.

Speaker 35 (56:20):
Trying to get a while? Who lost a real nice
fish last Saturday? Actually had about a fifty cond getaway.

Speaker 3 (56:28):
I stuck up a joke it.

Speaker 35 (56:30):
You saw it for about five minutes. It was deep
underneath the boat. So we watched it just.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
Foul wrapped on the tail or something. Yeah, it was
foul hooked.

Speaker 35 (56:41):
And like the leader looked like he goes actually wrapped
around the pick at one point. Uh, we just couldn't
couldn't get him off and hold the hooks man, heartbreaker?

Speaker 3 (56:49):
Who Joe? He saw it?

Speaker 44 (56:51):
Who man?

Speaker 3 (56:52):
I know he just with the gaffing range, but couldn't
gaff it. It's the worst I would have lost my
flipping mind.

Speaker 4 (56:58):
I'd rather not see it.

Speaker 35 (57:00):
Oh yeah, me too, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that
was the hardest part.

Speaker 26 (57:03):
You know.

Speaker 35 (57:03):
I just keep having flack backs of it.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
Oh God, well, shot, it sounds like a good day
out there, man, live bait and what kind of bait
use though out there?

Speaker 35 (57:12):
I'm showing right now. Yeah, I'm probably going to be
here another thirty minutes.

Speaker 4 (57:20):
What boat are you?

Speaker 3 (57:23):
Oh he just said he's going in Joe. Yeah, okay.
So Sean prepares and gets already. Man gets up at
probably three o'clock in the morning, right yeah, gets his
gear all prepared to go, gets on the water. Says man,
this is just too damn rough and snotty. I'm going
to stay a half hour right here and get my
ass back in shut.

Speaker 10 (57:41):
This is why Sean and I are are friends. We
were very similar when we used to fish on the kayak.
We would go out and we would try to be
done by like eight thirty one o'clock. All right, just yeah, yeah,
we like, I don't like going out there and wasting time,
and I just want to get something, something good, and
then you're done.

Speaker 35 (58:02):
If you haven't caught anything by them there, they're not
by you.

Speaker 3 (58:04):
Know it, all right, we'll sell you're definitely the wind's
blow through your phone.

Speaker 4 (58:11):
It sounds pretty yeah, and I'm going with the wind
right now.

Speaker 3 (58:17):
So geez, are you looking the bay of the ocean?
Worries the ocean? So tell me four to three how
that big is out there?

Speaker 35 (58:27):
Three and five, I say, oh, damn.

Speaker 4 (58:30):
It doesn't seem that win. Well, it's picking its picking up,
all right.

Speaker 35 (58:34):
Yeah, it's like it's a weird wind though. It's like
right out of the south.

Speaker 3 (58:38):
We'll let you get back safely, man, but maybe you'll
catch that hoos. All right, you come in man, So
good luck to.

Speaker 8 (58:44):
Your brother's So all right, buddy, all right, So we.

Speaker 3 (58:48):
Got about a minute before the top of the hour, Joe,
break the news, dude. Okay, so we got some very
important news.

Speaker 10 (58:55):
And so what we're doing is, unfortunately, after man, i'd say,
almost fifteen years, we are not going to be able
to do the saalefish smack down this year. But what
we're doing is, and there's a lot behind that. There's

(59:16):
another huge event and they're shutting down the beach and
the pier that same day on that weekend, and so
there's that, and then.

Speaker 4 (59:27):
I can give you a teaser.

Speaker 10 (59:29):
Our company, Extreme Kayakfishing is being bought and I'm still
going to be a huge part of it. But on
the back end, we're going through a lot right now
and our focus and the reason why my tournaments are
being bought is because of the Summer Slam. That's our
bread and butter, that's our biggest events. That's when we

(59:52):
get the big crowd, that's the fun on the beach.

Speaker 3 (59:55):
Say you never told me that you sold a portion
of your business. Yeah, I didn't know that part.

Speaker 4 (01:00:02):
Well, I'm not really allowed to speak much of it.

Speaker 10 (01:00:04):
I can't say who yet because it's a three payment
type deal and until that is all finalized, I can
come out with it. But for this year, we're going
to advocate everything that we have gotten already for the
Social Series yet to everything to the Summer Slam to
make that bigger and better. And now we have some

(01:00:27):
good backing.

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
Let me digest this because the clocks is I gotta
stop y backing right out. But we'll talk about that.

Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
There's a lot to it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
That's a pretty big ass news, by the way, Yeah
pretty big.

Speaker 6 (01:00:37):
Yeah, But it is a but Joe has told me
the name of the company is a big company that
we all know and love. Yeah that Joe loves.

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
We'll take a break and kind of digest this whole
thing a little bit, Yeah, and come back with me
and a big show. It's seven o'clock on a dot

have two and I'm I'm not a big fan of
the fragile kid.

Speaker 4 (01:06:17):
Isn't he hurt again?

Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
He's hurt again? Yes? Hips at ninety five million dollars
a year, for a brooken hip anyway, So the Jets
are jetting out of here, and uh, we can forget
about those guys for a while because now the season
for all of us is over.

Speaker 4 (01:06:32):
Joe, But didn't they beat you guys the last.

Speaker 3 (01:06:34):
Yes, Joe, they did. Okay, I was going to bring
it up, but thank you, thanks Joe. No, I just
we got bragging rights. Jersey. That gave you back. Okay,
that vag that raider Jersey. I want that thing back
for I dropped, I think, man, I Betty back on
fishing news. Uh, it's been kind of a cold ass week,
as you know, bro. But have fish car Have you

(01:06:57):
been fishing with these temperatures or whatever?

Speaker 42 (01:07:00):
Yeah, we've been out there. I mean the customers are here,
they're in town. They want to do some fishing.

Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
I think Eric just had a stroke.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
Well you still can't.

Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
What is wrong with you?

Speaker 3 (01:07:13):
Got at I saw you said the boats went out.

Speaker 42 (01:07:17):
Yeah, the boat's been going out. I mean the bit's been, Uh,
it's been kind of it's been. The bit's been very tough,
kind of like Tyreek Hill. You're not going to catch nothing.

Speaker 3 (01:07:26):
Man, oh man, And if you go back you'll see
that well, you know, he had a risk injury, Benning,
that was great that it caused him to drops Wow
is that what he got? Dropped by the popo whatever.

Speaker 42 (01:07:41):
Well, besides not catching nothing, it seems like like the dolphins,
the fish are non existing out there right now.

Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
Just keep going back.

Speaker 4 (01:07:51):
I love this, Just keep going.

Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
All the fans have the show. Were dolphins now off
the program?

Speaker 4 (01:07:58):
I knew he was gonna rub it in and something off, man,
I knew it. Wow, this is great.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Can we go back to fishing. Get off the fins
we are we're talking about fishing. Just like fishing.

Speaker 42 (01:08:08):
I mean, it's been real slow out there. We haven't
caught nothing, almost as long as the dolphins playoffs.

Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
Yes, this is gonna make a highlight reel.

Speaker 23 (01:08:23):
I can't tell you about playoff droughts.

Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
We go to highlight reel after the show.

Speaker 4 (01:08:31):
Just make a man.

Speaker 3 (01:08:35):
You just make the highlight reel. Betty, this is great.
You tore the fish man, I mean, just bad ass. Wow,
kick ass. Anyway, So, yeah, both fishing today, guys rather there. Yeah, yeah,
both boats are fishing. We got Captain Savage heading out
right now. He's got some clients that came out with
us yesterday and did have a very tough time. So
he's going to see if he could run it back

(01:08:56):
with them and put them on some meat. Tyler's out there,
he's going out for a hour all day trip right now,
which these eight hour trips are stressful.

Speaker 42 (01:09:04):
Man, right now, it's very tough. I almost hate selling
them this time of the year. It's like I tell
the people the bite's tough. I give them the heads up.
You know, it's almost stressful enough trying to put them
on fish and kill four hours, and now let alone.

Speaker 33 (01:09:16):
Keep them busy for eight you know.

Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
So, yeah, it's a lot eight hours. It's rough today
toos coming out the west a little oh it is okay, wow,
So an eight hour trip, what are they actually looking for?
Just drop for difer kind of species or what do
you all do?

Speaker 8 (01:09:34):
Well?

Speaker 42 (01:09:34):
Yeah, I mean on an eight hour trip, we're not
going to make them do one method of fishing the
whole time. We might troll around a little bit, see
if we can knock the wahuu off.

Speaker 3 (01:09:40):
First thing.

Speaker 42 (01:09:41):
Maybe let some live dates sit for a little bit,
see if they could pull off a wahoo. And then yeah,
I mean, we'll even go as far as having a
backup plan to take them on the reef bottom fish
and just try and get some extra meat in.

Speaker 3 (01:09:51):
The cooler for the end of the day. You know,
you know what the salvation bro I told you on
these trips. Man, get to a school of black belly
rosies and you say, of the day, man, come on, Yeah.

Speaker 42 (01:10:01):
Well that's that's actually something that Mike was going to
do today. But based on the conditions, that's a very condition.
You can only do that method of fishing based on
certain conditions. West wind blowing fifteen to twenty. Yeah, probably
exit that one out.

Speaker 3 (01:10:14):
They dropped like nine to nine hooks on the line, Joe,
and you bring back old you bring back nine fish.

Speaker 4 (01:10:19):
It helps.

Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
I've done it because I've been there and done that. Yeah. Yeah,
it helps about two inches long and I think worth flaying.
Okay whatever they make goods to vich, they make great savici. Yeah.
Well anyway, Betty, I hope you guys have a great weekend. Man,
it's been colder and hell, but I know it's warmer
today for a change. It is, Yeah, but the wood's
got to snap it up a little bit. It could
be a little rough for anybody hitting out their joy. Yeah.
I don't know so was too four where he was. Yeah,

(01:10:42):
and the great great connection between fish and fishing today, Betty,
you put it all together, Bro, that was just spot great.

Speaker 4 (01:10:49):
You ended the season like top notch.

Speaker 3 (01:10:53):
That was not even planned. He just brought top perfect,
man perfect.

Speaker 6 (01:10:57):
It was planned.

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
It was not planned anyway, Betty, have a great weekend, Bro,
thanks again for bringing it strong every weekend. Man, real
thanks guys, We'll see you. That was a great Benny report. Man.
I know for a fact I'm pulling the video part off.
You could have at it with TikTok Sko will and
put together a Jojo special.

Speaker 10 (01:11:16):
You know, it's funny when you when you said Benny's
calling in next. I just had a feeling because I
remember that last game. I had a feeling he was
going to do something I just and he did it.

Speaker 37 (01:11:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:11:27):
Like the analogy of Tyree dropping balls, that was great
dropping not getting fishedrought it was great. That good. Well
break come back and talking with dor beck Off. He's

Speaker 3 (01:16:45):

the Joe Hector singaalogues. I went, how Norm enjoyed that?

Speaker 4 (01:16:52):
I think he loved it.

Speaker 11 (01:16:53):
Hey, how you doing?

Speaker 28 (01:16:58):
Hey, good morning guys.

Speaker 3 (01:17:02):
He's right to the point.

Speaker 36 (01:17:03):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:17:03):
Didn't give you any props in your singalog at all,
just went right over it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Hey, Norm, did you did you hear Benny's segment?

Speaker 26 (01:17:11):
No?

Speaker 23 (01:17:11):
I did not.

Speaker 3 (01:17:12):
Oh well it was pretty funny, but you should.

Speaker 4 (01:17:16):
It will go but you should.

Speaker 6 (01:17:17):
It wasn't that funny onother replay.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
He could check out later. Anyway. I talked to Normal
last night, and things in Broward County were a little
tough this week. Norm talk about what was not happening.

Speaker 36 (01:17:27):
Brother, Everything was not happening.

Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
Norm seems really happy today.

Speaker 3 (01:17:34):
I think, Uh he talked like a scowl on his face,
but I mean he's being real man. It was a
tough week in Broward County, Norm, right, nothing was popping
mix up a shrip run.

Speaker 36 (01:17:48):
That was It was really bad.

Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
I mean all week was just atrocious. Uh, most guys.

Speaker 51 (01:17:57):
We're either just zeroing out or you know, hitting the
bottom for a few vermilions.

Speaker 10 (01:18:05):
That was about it.

Speaker 23 (01:18:08):
Just in the last day it.

Speaker 36 (01:18:10):
Ticked up just a little bit, but not much.

Speaker 51 (01:18:13):
We didn't we haven't had any current, uh so, I mean,
you know, there was a one or two sailfish caught,
you know, a small a few small MAYI Mayi's one
decent wahoo that I know of. I mean, it's just
overall it was just really really poor. About the only

(01:18:36):
thing that I've seen that's sort of a you know,
a ray of shimmering light is the shippers starting to.

Speaker 36 (01:18:44):
Move, and that's that's about it.

Speaker 51 (01:18:49):
A few decent snooks were caught, insure, but I mean, overall,
it was very, very poor fishing and proud.

Speaker 4 (01:18:58):
What about swordfish anything there not, not.

Speaker 36 (01:19:02):
That I'm aware of.

Speaker 51 (01:19:03):
I haven't seen anything on that, but that doesn't mean anything.
I don't sword fish. I don't know too many guys
who do. We did have some calm weather, so would
imagine there was some guys that we're able to get
offshore and go do that, right, But I mean, you know,
fishing closer to you know, closer to the beach, it's

(01:19:25):
just some atrocious, really really poor fishing.

Speaker 3 (01:19:27):
Did you mention norms A big shrimp run blow here
right now?

Speaker 51 (01:19:32):
It's just starting, you know, I saw some shrimp moving
last night and not had the tarpin fired up in
the same places.

Speaker 36 (01:19:41):
But overall it was just not really not really I
don't know.

Speaker 28 (01:19:48):
You know, this is what's really strange about about this
time of the year is you know, normally when you
get those cold.

Speaker 51 (01:19:59):
Fronts, uh, it fires up the fishing uh staffed like
a day or two after the front flows through.

Speaker 36 (01:20:07):
And that really didn't happen this time.

Speaker 51 (01:20:10):
Uh So there was some other factors that were playing
and it wasn't really a whole lot of current.

Speaker 36 (01:20:16):
Uh So, you know that might have had something to
do with it, but I mean, overall, it was just
very poor.

Speaker 3 (01:20:23):
Well, Joe, did me favor after the report? Could you
pass through your filet knife? I'd like to slip one
of my wrists.

Speaker 4 (01:20:28):
Sure, I'll do it.

Speaker 3 (01:20:30):
Just go ahead, thanks, right there, I got slice there
just bleed out here on the show. Great well, Norman,
thanks to get better because you had a couple of
weeks where Broward County was leading the pack on great catches, yeah,
and was banging great and sometimes at eight. So it's
just that's why fishing as we accept that being anglers,
and we know that's just the way it works. Man, huh.
You can't predict what you don't know. You can't predict.

Speaker 4 (01:20:51):
That's why it's fishing, not catching.

Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
Thank you Joe for clarifying that. Well, Norm, have a
great weekend, bro, Maybe things will pick up and you'll
be missed your super super happy next Saturday, we'll find out,
all right, guys, run that dog, running that dog? North sided?
Extremely depressed this morning, did he not? That might have
been the scaliest report he's done it quite some time.

Speaker 8 (01:21:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:21:15):
I think between that and the dolphins, he's you.

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Know, he's pretty much ticked off at his WIT's end. Yeah. Well,
it's got a guy who's always positive no matter what happens.
He's always finds a way to see a ray of
sunshine in a cloudy, gloomy day. He's the one, the
oldly mister, super cool, suave and very skilled man Johnny

(01:21:38):
st Bill on the show show. Yeah, Johnny, buddy, what's
going on? Guys?

Speaker 28 (01:21:46):
You are man?

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
You are buddy.

Speaker 44 (01:21:50):
Yeah. I'm actually uh up at a lake up north
called Headwaters, going and do some good old bass fish
in this this fine day. And the reason we're up
here is because the peacock by has been pretty subpar
during the week. Last weekend, after I talked to you guys,
I picked up a double.

Speaker 4 (01:22:11):
I had a double that day, and we.

Speaker 44 (01:22:14):
Absolutely hammered the peacocks. But you know, the weather during
the week kind of shut them down.

Speaker 52 (01:22:19):
So there's still there are still a few guys catching.

Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
Them, you know.

Speaker 52 (01:22:23):
I mean, it wasn't like a total lockjaw situation, but uh,
for the most part, I actually ended up canceling one
of my trips because you know, I talked to a
lot of the guys out there and I was like,
I'm just not going out in forty degree weather to
go all that.

Speaker 44 (01:22:40):
And you know, however, if you know, one thing a
lot of people like to do is complained. And over
the years, a lot of people have complained about the
peacock bass being in South Florida because these a lot.

Speaker 36 (01:22:59):
Of old, skult bass guys.

Speaker 44 (01:23:01):
That loved bass fishing, and they think that the peacocks have,
you know, really kind of stack.

Speaker 23 (01:23:06):
It over being as active as they are, so which.

Speaker 44 (01:23:10):
I do, is definitely true. However, the peacocks are also
a lot of fun to catch. But if you are
a hardcore bass guy that hates peacocks, this is your
week it's been cold all week, the water tumps are
super low, and you can definitely go catch a lot
of largemouth bass. Whether it's the link I had to
change out in the glades, I mean, this is your

(01:23:31):
time to shine. So anybody that's been been angry at
the peacocks for the last ever since nineteen eighty four,
this is your week to go rock to large mouth fishing,
which is exactly what I'm doing today about two hours
north of Broward County, Johnny.

Speaker 3 (01:23:49):
I got a big question for you, if we all
want to know this. I want to find out right now.
Could peacocks and large mouths both can habitate and save
water system and not one dominate the other. Can they
be equals or have the peacock actually diminished the large
mouth to this day? I want to know if they
take it over.

Speaker 44 (01:24:09):
Well that's like kind of a complex question, but in sure,
they do cohabitate and you do see them. I mean,
we'll be fishing canals where it's you'll catch two peacocks
in a large mouth, and then a large mouth and
two peacocks, and it's like you're always kind of constantly
catching all these fish. And that was one thing that

(01:24:29):
people used to talk about a lot with snakeheads, is
that the snakeheads were eating, you know, all the native species,
which you know they do eat bluegill and probably small bass,
but so do bass.

Speaker 4 (01:24:42):
They eat bluegill in small bass.

Speaker 44 (01:24:44):
So I mean, I've seen them cohabitate. When I'm snakehead
fishing and throwing a topwater frog or chatter bait for them,
I catch a lot of bass while in doing that too,
So I think there's a lot more bass than people
are willing to give credit for. But if you're just
going to go out and not make effort and just
fish with shiners, then you're obviously gonna catch the more

(01:25:04):
aggressive species, which is usually going to be a peacock.

Speaker 10 (01:25:07):
So and I have to chime in and say, I
have seen on multiple occasions large mouth eating baby peacocks.

Speaker 4 (01:25:16):
And I've seen that many times.

Speaker 10 (01:25:17):
I even hooked into a I had a small peacock
and I was reeling it in at this one spot
and this monster large mouth comes swallows it whole.

Speaker 4 (01:25:27):
That's fair, So I'm like fighting, that's fair.

Speaker 10 (01:25:30):
So, you know, I think the large mouth is just
as or maybe even I don't know, if it's more
of a predator. But I listen, one's a sicklet, one's
a one's a bass. So they're not even in the
same realm that people think they are. So I just
I just think so it's a fair game. It's I
think it's fair game.

Speaker 3 (01:25:50):
They could just cannibalize each other.

Speaker 4 (01:25:52):
Yeah, I think that's what happens.

Speaker 3 (01:25:54):
Yeah, make sure that's what I mean, that's what I see.
I'm saying, Am I am I lake a lake, Catherine.
I've seen my water system. We have these folks who
treat the h way treats the water right and years
ago killed off all that vegetation off the bottom of
my lake right right. The large mouth diminished immediately, not
because the peacock, because they're spawning habitats. Yeah, kind of

(01:26:14):
like got nuked. Okay, they need that weed and that grass,
that stuff to make their babies. The peacock some fell
fouled away around it.

Speaker 4 (01:26:22):
Well they dig those holes or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:26:24):
But yeah, Johnny and my like, I've seen the different
kind of ecosystem because we've screwed it up on our
hroa making a lake nice and blue and pretty. So anyway,
that's my bad.

Speaker 4 (01:26:33):
No, that's a good point because I think Johnny can
attest to this. It's all about the ecosystem.

Speaker 10 (01:26:38):
And let's face it, you know, peacocks are not from here,
so if you mess up this ecosystem, it's going to
affect the fish that lives here more than the fish
that got thrown here from South America.

Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
Agreed. I agree, Yeah, maybe Johnny agrees. I'm not sure, John, Yeah, No,
I do agree to a point.

Speaker 44 (01:26:58):
You know, the fish said have been imported here are
a lot more aggressive than the largemouth bass are. But
I mean those native fish or native for a reason.
I think they're always going to be around, and you know,
and I think that everybody needs to stop being upset
about the peacocks and the exotics being here and just
go out and have a good time and catch them.

Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
Exactly what he's saying, Man, I'll just be living a piece.
Show'd be kind to each other. Yeah, I mean, FWC
put them here. So I mean, there's nothing to really
complain about, John, anything news about cloud knife or any
other species later around.

Speaker 52 (01:27:33):
You know, we actually did.

Speaker 44 (01:27:34):
Catch a good bunch of them last weekend, but haven't
heard anything this week.

Speaker 4 (01:27:40):
I'll be fishing next week.

Speaker 44 (01:27:42):
I have a few trips planned with some clients, so
you know, hopefully next week I have a better report.

Speaker 52 (01:27:48):
For you guys on that.

Speaker 3 (01:27:49):
Oh standing man, are you on the water now fishing
or are you heading out to go go fish?

Speaker 4 (01:27:53):
Already asked them that you know, I'm about to cutch.

Speaker 44 (01:27:55):
You guys short because I got to put my boat
in the water. But you know, I'll hopefully have a
good bass report for you guys for next weekend.

Speaker 33 (01:28:05):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
It reminds me of the time that Sean Roll said
to you and I can you guys stop rambling, I'm
trying to go fishing. You know, he just tolls the
shut up. So basically, Johnny's vequal.

Speaker 4 (01:28:12):
Well he told you that today too.

Speaker 3 (01:28:14):
I get slammed a lot of run here anyway, Johnny,
good luck man, catch him buy buddy, have a good weekend, yeah, Johnny?

Speaker 23 (01:28:19):
All right, Thanks you guys. We'll see you next week.

Speaker 3 (01:28:21):
See you quick plug for our great sponsor, Mercury Marine,
Go boldly. Joke. It's twenty twenty five and I'm thinking,
why not take that boat you got with that two
stroke blue smoke choking thing. You've got newt that baby.
Put a brand new MRK on the back of your
boat sounds fun? Why not? Because they got all the

(01:28:42):
horse power. They just get better year by year. The
prices are phenomenal. Right now your number one repower place,
the South Foard, has got to be Nautical Ventures. They
do that every single day. So if you guys have
got that choking thing that just sucking down fuel and
half the time misfires. Like even j Graded a couple
of years ago put a brand new fifty at the

(01:29:02):
back of his potet boat. He loves his murk. I do.

Speaker 5 (01:29:06):
And you know what, I already had a two stroke
Mercury and I'm like, why, why do I really need
to get a newer four stroke? And oh my gosh,
First of all, it's so much quieter, and then the
fuel savings is incredible. And guys, last time you guys
check feels still a little expensive.

Speaker 3 (01:29:21):
Yeah, I have a chance to do a boat test
dot com. That's how you work for a boat test. Yeah,
we've got two shoots coming up this week.

Speaker 4 (01:29:26):
By the way, you schilling right now, I got.

Speaker 3 (01:29:28):
Two bowt test shoots coming up this week. Man, I'm chilling.
I've done a couple of last few were with twin
BRK six hundreds, on the back hole. If you guys
have not seen those motors, that's a big best is
the beast of all that. That's the biggest outboard available.

Speaker 2 (01:29:42):
In the water.

Speaker 3 (01:29:43):
It's so strange because the motor doesn't turn. The actual
calling Joe doesn't turn. It's all done by the lower
unit transmission. It goes right left, but the motor just
stays straight.

Speaker 6 (01:29:53):
The transmission in shifts too right.

Speaker 3 (01:29:55):
It's got two speechs. Man, it's amazing and it's huge,
and they are and it's smooth and they are powerful. Yeah,
and they're not cheap. I'd put it out there, but
not cheap, but they're damn world worth it. Hey, you
know you get you paid for it exactly right. So
check out the repower ganautical vestures that make yourself happy.
Twenty twenty five. I'll just shut up now. Oh come back,

(01:30:16):
see what's up with the weather forecast? Jen is back
on deck. Man all right, Captain Devin Moore coming up here.

Speaker 4 (01:38:22):
Oh that's great.

Speaker 43 (01:38:23):
The kids were sliding down the hills and oh it
was just I even went down.

Speaker 54 (01:38:27):
It was such a blast.

Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
Are they still throwing snowballs like they were back in
the day, just at each other, grabbing snow, snow and
just whack.

Speaker 8 (01:38:34):
Oh my god.

Speaker 43 (01:38:35):

Well, we had a white Christmas j and yeah, it
was the first time she saw like real snow. So

like flipping out, you know, just touching it and she's
like wow.

Speaker 3 (01:38:55):
Did she like the cold weather?

Speaker 4 (01:38:56):
Oh yeah, she loved it. Man. Yeah, Cooper Cooper came like.

Speaker 3 (01:38:59):
The cool weather. Jen, Are they fans of the cold stuff?

Speaker 23 (01:39:02):

Speaker 54 (01:39:27):

Speaker 4 (01:39:29):
All right, here, guys, have a good one.

Speaker 3 (01:39:31):
You two g two?

Speaker 4 (01:39:33):
Shall we go to the Keys show?

Speaker 6 (01:39:34):
Let's do it?

Speaker 3 (01:39:40):
Bla blah blah blah blah. That's the sound of Matthew together?
Or is that the son of a boat.

Speaker 4 (01:39:45):
I'm in a boat. I'm heading to the key, Come on,
hop in, let's go.

Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
That must be a two stroke at the back here
in that came It is sound you're making, because a
four stroke would be.

Speaker 4 (01:39:52):
Like it's a Mark two stroke.

Speaker 6 (01:39:54):
It could also be an older diesel.

Speaker 3 (01:39:56):
Hell it could be yes, indeed, captain, damn.

Speaker 11 (01:40:00):
How are you yee?

Speaker 28 (01:40:02):
How boys?

Speaker 50 (01:40:02):
How's it going?

Speaker 3 (01:40:04):
Have I'm confused? I'm watching a Facebook stream and I
see bloomber Gozalez is making some kind of a chat
back and forth with you. Yeah, he runs that swivel
your last pod three sixty chair.

Speaker 6 (01:40:14):
Why do you call it swivel your ass?

Speaker 3 (01:40:15):
It's not the name because I daved it myself. Okay,
I can do that.

Speaker 6 (01:40:18):
Do you not like his ass? Is that way you
called him?

Speaker 3 (01:40:21):
I think it's a better name anyway. Soon as you
connected up and whatever happened? What's going on with that thing?

Speaker 50 (01:40:28):
So he came down and watched my podcast with Warren
Page last week for Power Cord Rods and girl Fish
Better Brand. So he I got to meet him in person,
and him and his lovely wife got there to sit
and listen to me spiel my guts. But yeah, we
had a good time. Not to finally meet him in person.
I can't wait to get in his swivel pod and

(01:40:48):
take a spin and get back into kayak fishing a
little bit. We've talked about that. So I'm actually not
in Keyes this morning. I'm in Marco Island.

Speaker 3 (01:40:56):
Oh oh oh.

Speaker 50 (01:40:58):
I'm on a fishing expedition with a really two of
my really good friends, Angie Scott and Debbie Hanson, So
we are. Yeah, yes, So we're flying fishing a little
bit spit like spin rids and you know, just just
messing around. So I'll be back in the Keys by

(01:41:18):
Monday and and I'll be wahoo fishing because we got
a beautiful, beautiful weather pattern coming up right now. Though
we've got a little nasty southwest wind and it's making
everything out definitely like a washing machine out there. So
it's it's rough off shore. To say that it's really
rough when are supposed to be turning tomorrow. So I

(01:41:38):
see this in selfish bite is is off the charts.
It's just they're really they're really.

Speaker 54 (01:41:44):
Eating right now.

Speaker 50 (01:41:46):
So I'm I'm excited for winter time. Kingfisher been hot,
yellow tail staffer's been hot, Mutton bite's been okay. So
you know, we're just looking forward to getting through the
winter and we've got a selfish tournament coming up.

Speaker 4 (01:41:59):
Ladies.

Speaker 50 (01:41:59):
Let Sco Fishing is now going to be part of
the Islamorada Selfishing Women's Tournament coming up on January thirty first.
I'm not booked for that day yet, so if you
guys and ladies want to put together a team, I
am I'm ready. To fish that tournament.

Speaker 3 (01:42:14):
So that's out there so outstanding. Well, hey, I have
a great time. I've been to Marco Islands so many years. Joe,
You ever fished the ten thousands before? Joe, you ever
been on ten thousand islands on the west coast? Dedad
be fished ten thousand islands before? Out that way?

Speaker 53 (01:42:30):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (01:42:31):
Yes, yes I have.

Speaker 3 (01:42:32):
And you know, it's really crazy. If you don't have
a really good unit to get you back where you are,
you can actually get lost out there. It's a really
incredibly strange system out there. Man. Fish is awesome, you know.

Speaker 50 (01:42:44):
Yeah, one hundred percent. But you know what, I'm depending
on my fulltle Florida Marine Tracks, which is compliant with
my SIMRAD and I love it because in my skiff,
you know, I'm able to go wherever and not run
aground because he has taken all of Florida, in all
Louisiana and sure that we don't run aground anymore. Florida
Marine Tracks best system you buy.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
Did you hear the message Simrad show Joe sponsor on
the show.

Speaker 50 (01:43:12):
Yeah, And it is compliant with the SIMRAD system, not
compliant right now with Carmen. So it's in one of those.

Speaker 4 (01:43:19):
But it's great.

Speaker 50 (01:43:20):
True, if you have a backcountry boat, you have a skiff,
you have to have Florida Marine tracks.

Speaker 3 (01:43:24):
Two bed Garmin. Sorry about that anyway. Dev have a
great time with Joe, with the ladies out there, catch
them up, do your thing, get back here when it's warmer.

Speaker 8 (01:43:33):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:43:34):
The keys I know are fired up with fishing great
all the time. And we just love you to death.
So have a phenomenal time. And I'm glad you could
put up with Boomer Becauzalas for the time you did.
Oh my gosh, I knew you'd throw that in there.
I just had too mad.

Speaker 50 (01:43:49):
I love Boomer. Hey, his wife's spices, man, I made
some dolphin the other day.

Speaker 4 (01:43:54):
Oh they're so good.

Speaker 36 (01:43:56):
Oh it's so good.

Speaker 50 (01:43:57):
So I just want to say her spices are amazing.
But y'all have a wonderful day. I'm going back fishing now,
all right, see it all right?

Speaker 3 (01:44:06):
She tied up with civilo ass Pod three sixty boom Solas. Boy,
is she a patient woman? As you know, Joe, I
love Boomer, but he could talk for longer than me.

Speaker 4 (01:44:20):
You knew him when he was a kid, right.

Speaker 3 (01:44:23):
We were neighbors back way back at the day man
great anyway he was. He always the same, it's ever changed. No, No,
he's just been that kind of guy. So all, I'll
take a little break up back as su Asan. I
can't wait to open a toy chest man. Let's do it,
coming up next chorus.

You're on board the Nautical Ventures Weekly Fisherman Show powered
by Mercury Marine. Go boldly with legendary fishermen, Aaron Brandon,
an extreme agg Joehapter.

Speaker 3 (01:49:02):
Love this segment. Time to open up that toy chest Gray.
Here we go, baby, I can't wait to see this.
Kat Haley, What you got for us?

Speaker 22 (01:49:18):
Are you kidding me? Twenty dollars for a chair at
the beach?

Speaker 7 (01:49:21):
Yep, that's not happening.

Speaker 22 (01:49:22):
Nope, nopy, nope, nope Nope, we're whipping out the Boat Arrowchair.
Welcome to the Toy Chest segment on the Weekly Fisherman
in Fox Sports nine forty AM. My name is Kat
Haley and I will never pay for chairs at the
beach again or be annoyed by carrying bolt chairs with
me thanks to the Boat Arrowchair. The Boat Arrowchair inflates
and deflates super easily. When deflated, just roll it up,

(01:49:44):
buckle the convenience straps, grab the little handle and go.
I personally like to keep the chair inflated in my
car since it really doesn't take up much space even
when inflated, but it's perfectly in a compact car's trunk,
just like my niece on ultimate. It's super lightweight seven pounds.
That's lighter than a puppy. This chair's up to some
witch crappie as how the heck does it hold up

(01:50:06):
to two hundred and twenty five pounds when it only
weighs seven pounds. The Boat Arrowchair is twenty and a
half inches tall and twenty five inches wide.

Speaker 4 (01:50:14):
This Boat arrowchair is your go to.

Speaker 45 (01:50:16):
Beat, boat or tailgate chair.

Speaker 22 (01:50:18):
It sits low to the ground up, perfect forgetting your
toes just a little wet by the shoreline without getting
your booty wed. Throw the arrow chair on the tailgate,
around the campfire or wherever your adventure is gonna take you. Now,
when you're sitting in your boat arrowchair, you're gonna want
a tasty snack, right. They sell accessories that have attachments
through the chair. Simply slip the arrow cup holder into

(01:50:38):
the slider track and you're chilling and sipping.

Speaker 7 (01:50:40):
If you're worried a I'll wear and.

Speaker 22 (01:50:41):
Tear from the ocean, the dirt, or just having the
boat arrowchair tossed around, let that worry rest. The military
grade PBC skin means arrow boats can withstand being tossed around, banged,
bumped and scraped with low risk of damage or permanent blansh.
If you're a fisherman, there's also molly loops attached to
the chair so that way you can touch your gear
on the go. Thanks for listening to the Toy Chest

(01:51:02):
segment on The Weekly Fisherman. I'm Kat Haley and you
can catch us every Saturday from six to eight am
on Foxboroks nine forty am. Follow Naudible Ventures on social
media to check out all our toy Chest segments of videos,
boats and watersports toys.

Speaker 3 (01:51:17):
How could she make one chair? By the way, she said,
twenty bucks for that chair, Joe, Yeah, that might be
the least expensive thing in donical ventures I've ever heard of.
I don't know, But twenty bucks for that chair holds
up to two hundred pounds, she said, by the way,
weighs like nothing.

Speaker 4 (01:51:32):
Right, that's awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
And she makes this chair to something just so cool looking.
I tried that same exact pitch two years ago with
the exact same product. I was about as boring as
boring could be. Yeah, we know, thanks stuff, But she
makes that thing just so interesting. I'll just give her
a props.

Speaker 6 (01:51:51):
You can put your booty on the beach.

Speaker 3 (01:51:53):
Put your booty on the beach. Actually takes something and
goes to the beach and shows you what it does
supposed to standing there at the store, tell you about it.
She gets her toesies wet. She she's good. She is
really great. So before we go, we have a but
minute to bring back a little news you brought. I
think it's worth repeating little more time. Yeah, but your series,
your your Salefish tournament on the twenty fifth is no

(01:52:14):
longer going to happen.

Speaker 11 (01:52:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (01:52:16):
So we've been going through a lot this past offseason
dealing with a certain company and they are actually buying
Extreme and Uh, there's gonna be some big changes, good changes, Uh,
coming up for the future of this tournament series. Uh,
don't worry, guys, I'm still gonna be heavily involved at
least for the next couple of years. And Uh, I

(01:52:38):
think we're gonna We're gonna Our focus is to build
the Summer Slam like that that's our bread and butter.
So we're going to advocate all the stuff we got
for the sailfish, put it into the Summer Slams and
make them bigger and better than they ever were before.

Speaker 3 (01:52:53):
Now I gonna say some Joe, and I'm kind of
glad you did this. Maybe some anglers are too. Your
salefish smackedout happens right in the middle of the coldest
part of South Florida, Okay, And the last couple of
years we've done this on the shelf. You've been on
the beach and those guys are freezing their asses. It's
been incredibly cold, very cold, and to move them every
year because the weather gets so crappy, right.

Speaker 4 (01:53:14):
Now past four years straight, we've had to move it.

Speaker 3 (01:53:16):
And I can't see that being any kind of fun.
Being four inches off the water, the wind and there
was you know, spray comes up on you and it's
cold as hell, your hands are numb. Has got to
be a rough way to fish man.

Speaker 4 (01:53:29):
Yeah, And it's and it's a it's a different type
of tournament.

Speaker 10 (01:53:32):
It's more of like an elite type thing where you know,
it's a small group of guys, a lot of out
of towners.

Speaker 4 (01:53:39):
So that's the one part that that I'll miss.

Speaker 10 (01:53:41):
But you know, the Summer Slam is just so much
bigger and so much more fun, and it's so much more.

Speaker 4 (01:53:47):
Of an event. You know, we don't have the big
stage and the beach and all that for the sailfish.
We have that for the summer.

Speaker 3 (01:53:54):
So does that mean that you're taking the resources from
this tournament and actually shoving those into your Summer slams?
The reason maybe even increasing maybe I don't know, the
first place check, Maybe some of the prizes get bigger,
you kind of double up on things.

Speaker 10 (01:54:07):
A little bit, maybe exactly bigger, bigger, and better. And
that That's what I'm gonna keep saying for the for
the Summer Slam. That's our goal. We're really working hard
to really knock it out of the park this year.
We ended last year's Summer Slam on a high note.
We had our biggest crowd since before COVID, so bigger

(01:54:27):
and better.

Speaker 3 (01:54:27):
It's like you juicing every week. You know, it keeps
them here. We go pumping you up and you're just
getting bigger and Joe, it's amazing.

Speaker 4 (01:54:35):
Just take your head, be aware of well mind.

Speaker 3 (01:54:37):
It's definitely inflated and going somewhere. I don't know where
else is going back in that forty Jeff, thanks for
flying the ship. The podcast will be up later on today.
Steven J. Gray, thank you brother man as always for
having us out here and setting this whole set up,
which he does quite early on.

Speaker 33 (01:54:51):
My oh he is so.

Speaker 3 (01:54:52):
I appreciate that very much. And to get thanks to
Donic Adventures would being a great spots from the best. Joey,
great show man, good show. Have a great day, folks.
Thanks for watching the show eighteen years, we have nineteen
going on. Without you, we are nothing. Thank you for
seeing you next weekend right here. Fox Sports nine forty
