well you never looked better man, Actually, seriously, thanks really,
I like that look covers half your face. I'm gonna
see half your face anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
Yeah, you know, I appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (01:07):
So I just thought that Eric was going to dress
up like he usually has done in the past with me.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
But I guess you left me high and dry. You
left me high and dry.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
The bag I get a little costume in the you
do I do. Yeah, I'll bust it out shortly. All right,
first are hellos? Okay, Yeah, let's do. Jeff and I
forty Thanks for flying a ship back there, Steve would
a great crazy man. You want to see you the morning.

Speaker 7 (01:29):
How y'all reeling this morning?

Speaker 3 (01:30):
You really fine? Man. We have a special guest coming
up on the show this morning, Grant Lester for Mercury Marine. Oh,
jumping right next to you, okay, talking about some serious power.
And all the motors are showing at Flips which is
coming up next weekend. Yeah, boat shows back, Joe.

Speaker 4 (01:45):
Right, that's your favorite time of the year, right.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Oh, I love it as much as I love Kamala.
It's just amazing. Yeah. Yeah, So boat Shows back and
Nautical Ventures will be out there at Forrest. Will probably
have like eighty percent of the convention center because Roger
Moore doesn't big Yeah. I mean they got boats in
the water boats convention Center. He's so good. He's got
boats on the roof. I mean they got boats everywhere everywhere. Incredible.

(02:09):
He takes over the whole show, the entire parking lot,
and we know, but Anno Venture show and the deals
are just unbelievable. Yes, you're going to buy a boat now.
It's the time to buy right now. The deals are
just we're almost giving these things away it cost Yeah,
that's true. It's santly great.

Speaker 8 (02:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
Anyway, let's get to our first cap. But jim O
Thomas is when he patiently onlined Jimbo's back, Jim's back,
and jim I did a really bad single long he
called me a guy at a library club last weekend.
If you recall, Oh, yeah, yeah, it's true. It was
a library club or some kind of serious diss. Yeah,
it was bad. It was bad. Yeah, So I want
you bring him in with that Joe Hector style.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Man, let's see what can we.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Do make something to the show? Is clucks ticket, Name's Jimbo.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
He's a Jimbo. Yeah, I said he's a Jimbo. Oh alone,
just to talk to you.

Speaker 9 (03:01):
Yeah, that was like lay down, Sally re done.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
What the hell that was? Man asked jim was the
thoughts about that? Shall we? Yeah, Jimbo Tomas was flyer. Hey, buddy,
there's no Eric Clapton, but.

Speaker 10 (03:19):
That was and hey guys, and by the way, Eric,
it was a poetry club.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Oh it was even worse. Not the Larmary Club poetry
a poet and don't know it. That is fastil Thank you.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Jimbo.

Speaker 6 (03:34):
Eric left me out to dry man. He told me
to get all dressed up for the show. I didn't
tell you, which I did, and here I am and
he didn't dress up.

Speaker 10 (03:44):
Okay, all dressed up, nowhere to go? Yeah he did it.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Yeah, Well, Jimbo, I tried to chat last night. You
had to pick up your phone because you know it
was me, so anyway, I couldn't talk about the fishing
news right. However, what's put on the old bite list
this week? Buddy?

Speaker 10 (03:59):
Well, you know, we had a lot of wind earlier
in the week, and there's been a few guys making
it out. I made it out of a couple of days,
did some inshore fishing and some offshore stuff, and still
some scattered dolphin out there. But it seems well, the
size on these dolphin is pretty good, like six to
ten pounders, and there's even been some larger ones mixed in.

(04:22):
But no monsters bindy means. But they've just been kind
of out in the middle of nowhere. You're trolling along
and you get a bite and there's a half a
dozen nice schoolies there, and of course if you're lucky
enough to find something floating, you got a good shot
to catch some dolphin as well, and some small wall
who's under those floaters. I personally did not find any floaters,

(04:44):
but the couple of the guys did had some halfway
decent catches. But otherwise, like I said, just out in
the middle of nowhere off Miami, the blue water yesterday
was about four hundred feet, so it was green water
out to four hundred feet. So anywhere from that blue
water on out is where you got a good shot
at finding these dolphins. And there's also been some black

(05:07):
fin tunas out off that mina I called the Miami Hump.
There's been a lot of boats out there fishing for
these tunas late in the afternoon because pilchers have been everywhere.
So you can get pilchers go out there and live
chum and get these tunas up, but the friggin sharks
just kill you. You get you just got to feed

(05:28):
too many of them to the sharks, so I don't
it's almost sometimes not worth it sacrificing all those fish
to catch one or two. But so you know, fish
has been halfway decent and you mentioned the flips will
Waterdale boat show. I can always tell when the boat
shows come in to town because it's terrible weather. It's

(05:50):
supposed to be like thirty nine wins all next week.

Speaker 5 (05:53):
What.

Speaker 10 (05:55):
Yes, I don't know what what's coming up, but there's
it's it's supposed to just be windy, as you can imagine.
And it seems like every year for the boat show
it's crappy weather and it looks like they won't be
disappointed this year.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Well, what's good about that, timbo is the fact that
it takes the crowd in a parking lot whatever else
shows up inside the convention center right to our booths
and brings them right to us. That's true, No, I
get it. You know when it's cool phenomenon.

Speaker 10 (06:25):
Yeah, when it's beautiful weather, everybody's like, I'm going out
out on the boat, not going to the boat shows.
So yeah, it does work out a little bit that aspect,
But it's just you know, for sea trials and stuff
like that, it doesn't make it too nice, doesn't happen right, No,
But that's what it is. And we can't control the weather, unfortunately,

(06:48):
not yet at least, so.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Have you guys noticed though, like how windy. I mean
aside from like the last maybe like day or two,
but it's been like really windy.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
The past couple of weeks has.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
Been Yeah, that wind blows.

Speaker 10 (07:05):
But you know, there there's uh. Fortunately the hurricanes have
been evading us or avoiding us, but we're just getting
there close enough to where they're calls in a bunch
of wind and you know, there's something else brewing down
there in the tropics that is going to be passing
I think, all shore of us, but it's going to

(07:26):
be enough to give us a bunch of wind, but
it beats getting the real thing. So you know, when
it's blowing like that, you still go fishing. You go
inshore fishing. There's been a lot of nice snook around.
I had what's today Saturday. On Thursday, I was out
Thursday afternoon snook fishing and I had snook Zilla one. Yeah,

(07:48):
but on on means I didn't catch him. And when
he jumped with me and my brother and he jumped
and I was like, holy MACLo. You know there's some
expleti that.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah, I know there's a bigger word of that for sure.

Speaker 10 (08:03):
Yeah, yes, yeah, and uh and yeah's possibly, and uh,
I said, man, that thing is going to be my brother. Yea, yeah,
well it might have been both and probably And I
got him right up to the boat and my brother

(08:23):
had the net out ready to net him, and I
was only using a thirty pounds leader, and he wore
through the leader about a foot from going into the debt.
I'd say he was probably twenty pounds or close to it.
It was way over slot, so i'd have to let
him go, but I don't care. I just want to
catch one that big. So he's still out there. I

(08:45):
know where he's at. I might go this afternoon. I
can catch him again or help him again.

Speaker 7 (08:49):
We have Jim's audio, by the way, and I think
this is what he said.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Steve always correct, man, you saw it. Yeah, yeah, whatever.

Speaker 10 (09:03):
That was when I hooked him. When I lost him,
it was even more.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
But uh, it's amazing Jim and that a lot of
guys don't know that snook have got these small serrated
teeth inside their jaw area by the lips, and yep,
they could sell. There's a motto, uh, leader, not too
hard to do, you know what I mean?

Speaker 10 (09:21):
So yeah, no, it's it's kind of a catch twenty two.
You you go too heavy, you don't get the bite,
but you go too light, that possibly happens. It's just
you know, he's hooked right in the lift. You know,
who knows where he's hooking. And it was a it
was a big one, so he probably sucked the baby
all the way down his belly when he bit and

(09:41):
who knows.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
But filter filtered.

Speaker 10 (09:44):
Yeah, well we used filters. Typically we ended up catching
half a dozen smaller ones. But uh, yeah, this is
the biggest one I've seen in a long time. But
either way, they're out there. You just uh, you just
got to get lucky. And uh he got lucky and
I didn't.

Speaker 6 (09:59):
But yeah, yeah, I was just saying, remember it was
they're everywhere. Man, you don't like big ones.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
To talk about fishing. Thank you Joe for the big
chat there. Yeah. I think about fishing though. It is
a fishing really seriously, like half luck, half skill, great answer, yes,
and know your stuff and you still might lose it
for some stupid reason you have like bad luck, right, Jim.

Speaker 10 (10:20):
O oh, without a doubt. You know the fishes. He's
got an even chance, so one of us is going
to win. And oftentimes the fish wins, and not that
anybody does anything wrong. It's just the way it goes.
You know. The hooks pull out, your leader can break,

(10:42):
you know. And I don't say we lose fish. I
say they got away, you know, because nobody wants to
lose a fish. But if the fish gets away, there's
absolutely nothing to do about it. Especially you know, out
on our charter boat, we have a lot of amateurs
that half of them don't know which end of the
fishing rot the whole. But that's why they go with us,

(11:02):
so we could eat them and show.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Them, you know, like people like Eric, you're a idiot.

Speaker 10 (11:08):
Well, that's why they charter a boat, because they want.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
To take a shot at me. I heard that shot.
You want to be missed that. I did hear that,
jim Bo. I caught that.

Speaker 5 (11:19):
I didn't think you heard it.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
I caught that. I don't think right by me, like
a freaking flying filtered okay.

Speaker 10 (11:25):
Like a subliminable.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Spoke and I heard it. Okay, thank you, Jimbo.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Quick question, So for someone that wants to go snook fishing,
what's your set up?

Speaker 4 (11:35):
What's your go to setup when you do that?

Speaker 10 (11:37):
Rod Well, I'm i'm fishing. I was that one I had.
I was using eight pound tests what it? Yeah, I'm
in I'm in a little I'm in a fishing club
and we have like the ongoing tournament, different line categories
and stuff. So yeah, I would use like twelve pound tests,
and you know, on regular basis, twelve pound tests on

(12:00):
a I use pin spinning reels and pin rods, little
ad there and yeah, and thirty thirty pound leaders what
I typically use. But if you knew that they're all
going to be big ones, you might want to go
up to a little heavier. But I've caught plenty of
big ones using thirty pounds and I've lost plenty of

(12:23):
them with forty pounds, So you never know and use us.
I'm using piltures, and I matched the size of the
hook to what bait I'm using. So for piltures, I'm
using a one to zero J hook because a circle
hook for those piltures it's too big in my opinion.

(12:47):
It's the curve. Now, if you've got to figure bait,
definitely a circle hook. Yeah. So you know, just depending
on where we're fishing, we're casting along the mangroves, you know,
there's no secrets. Spots for snook. They're pretty much anywhere
where there's salt water, especially along the western shore of
the Bay from you know, the Keys, all the way

(13:09):
up to Daytona Beach, probably the mouths of the Spillway
canals are always good spots. So places where you have
moving water, places where you have bait activity. You know,
does like any fish or following the bait, and where
we catch. Where we catch snook, we catch a lot
of other We catch jack's and lady fish and mangrove snappers.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
You never know, Joe, is a great question with a
nine minute answer.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
It's just so what this is what people want to know.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
It took us in the hour. It just took us
a seven o five With that answered, Jim another question, No,
you have no more time. You're done. Okay, all right,
so listen, I'm in the poetry club right so I'm
running poll for you. Okay. His name is Jimbo and
right now he has to go go, he's now off

(13:58):
the show. Show. Have a lovely day, Jim Bow, come
play with your kilters man. Have a great weekend, buddy, Okay,
you're the man. Good luck everybody, all right, come up
again in the program this morning. Grant Lester from Mercury
and marinal be talking about those big beautiful motors, which
I've had a chance to run a few lately. And

(14:18):
the Courustical Ventures is your go to place for repower.
What a great Christmas gift. Wink wink, I'm thinking right.
Oh yeah, So that big four hundred and back feet two.

Speaker 9 (14:28):
I was coming back from an event and I saw
a few of them on the back of a boat.

Speaker 7 (14:31):
Oh my gosh, those things are massive.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Bro. I drove a boat for boat test dot Com
about a month ago, a big forty five footer with
trip six hundreds. And let me tell you something. That transmission,
the way it shifts and just jumps in that next gear.
It's just weird watching motors cause see the top of
the motors a move. It's all the lower unit that
drives the boat. It's a genius. And they had that

(14:53):
boat homet at like warp factor ten. We were flying, dude,
yeah work ten. Now even I have got stop talking
because we're really late. Take at Breaking Back with als

that's the kind of trooper that Allen's around. But really

(19:31):
new knees, had a new shoulder, new wrist, surgery, new bat.

Speaker 7 (19:34):
I don't he's kind of like the bionic Man.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Yeah, Steve, he and I. He and I were comparing
last night. Surgery worked about neck and neck with this stuff,
you know what I mean? Okay? Yeah, yeah's talking to
the best man. Alan Z. Good morning, buddy boy.

Speaker 21 (19:46):
Hello, I am a six billion dollar man.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Yes you are, dude. That's what your medical bills racked
up to so far.

Speaker 21 (19:53):
Yeah, I'm not doubting that either.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
This is crazy. Hey, your phone's your phone sounds like crap.
Are you in the met's room where you at man
moved some place something better? You sound in the room
in the house. You're garbling. Its garbly.

Speaker 21 (20:09):
What do you mean I'm garbling?

Speaker 3 (20:10):
You're garbling.

Speaker 22 (20:12):
That's because you called me last night to make sure
it was gonna be good for the show.

Speaker 21 (20:16):
And yet I want to.

Speaker 3 (20:18):
Know why you told me last night. You're on say
it serious pain meds. You've probably got the phone upside
down and you're talking to the to the camera lens. Yeah. Probably,
all right, let's get back on point. Man. You're the
bass guy. What's up with the bass? I mean you go? Alan?

Speaker 7 (20:44):
Well, yeah, like you said that phone connection with Stellar.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
There we go. Yeah. Oh he's trying to get back
on the phone. Yeah, anyway, so I did chat with
that last night. He said the water bovels are very
high the glades and now you know we haven't had
nothing but when and rain. I mind, it rains in
my place, but every day yanks right, All right, Alan's back. Okay,
so the phone's back, the flip phone's back in his hand. Okay,

(21:10):
you guys dropped me.

Speaker 8 (21:11):
What happened?

Speaker 3 (21:12):
No, your phone dropped. Okay, anyway, talk about some bast
news because we just can't wait to hear what you
have to say, buddy, Okay, please.

Speaker 23 (21:20):
Well, obviously I did not get out this week, but
I am going to try.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
To get out next week.

Speaker 21 (21:24):
Believe it or not that guiding.

Speaker 23 (21:26):
I'm going to try to get out and fish a
couple of days anyway, because I got to do something
other than saying in his house and going nuts.

Speaker 21 (21:32):
But this is not the fun week for me. Are
you hearing me better now?

Speaker 3 (21:37):
By chance? Yes? Yeah? You actually sound like an English
speaking person. Yeah, Oh my gosh. You know again.

Speaker 23 (21:43):
It comes back to I'm waiting for the call from
Joe on Friday night, making sure I'm going to be
available for the show on Saturday.

Speaker 21 (21:51):
I won't to know why it's always Eric that calls.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
I want to ask that question. Okay, in the three
years Joe's been on the show, has he ever called
you for a Friday night pre fishing show update ever?

Speaker 5 (22:05):
Do you know?

Speaker 14 (22:06):
So?

Speaker 4 (22:06):
Okay, so let's rewind.

Speaker 6 (22:08):
So Eric told me he's the producer of the show
and I'm not allowed to reach out to these guys
the show because because he's in charge and he needs
to get the reports and he doesn't want to mix
him up.

Speaker 3 (22:24):
Man, you spend more than the other other party ready
for president. Man, unbelievable.

Speaker 9 (22:30):
Well, why does it matter you need? Why do you
need a pre show update when you're doing the show
on Saturday? Anything called doing your homework for the show?

Speaker 4 (22:38):
Man?

Speaker 3 (22:39):
Back to Adam, he's online, one, Shall we shush.

Speaker 23 (22:43):
Things all riled up?

Speaker 3 (22:46):
My job?

Speaker 21 (22:48):
This is my favorite time to get out and go fishing.
I can't wait to get out there. The weather is
cooling down a little bit in the mornings.

Speaker 23 (22:54):
Now it's not cold, but it's it's much nicer out
this morning.

Speaker 21 (22:59):
I see it's six nine degrees out. It's like that's
almost freezing sixty nine.

Speaker 7 (23:03):
I like that temperature.

Speaker 10 (23:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 23 (23:06):
And it's good statistic too, because the waters start pulling off,
the oxygen levels are better, the fish will bite.

Speaker 21 (23:12):
More off and during the day, at least for me anyway,
maybe not for Eric. You know, his jig doesn't go
only goes so far.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
Right, Continue on, Continue on there, mister dark throwing man,
continue on, please? Thank you? All right?

Speaker 23 (23:33):
Yeah, you're distracting me because I was watching this show
on on streaming on sex and I was thinking of you, Eric.
You know, we talked about how many times.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
What in the hells we got to do with dass?
Why what do you go off of these tangents for?

Speaker 7 (23:49):
But now I know why they call each other the
night before?

Speaker 3 (23:51):
I know, right, Okay, I got it coming to a
fishing conferensation. I don't get it, man, Okay. Anyway, so
back on you, man, you got a brand new it
has any working on? Man, you're feeling better getting around
a little bit.

Speaker 21 (24:05):
No, it feels like crap. Okay, So it is what
it is.

Speaker 10 (24:09):
I I gotta deal with it.

Speaker 23 (24:10):
I'm gonna do a little bit of fishing this week,
even if I got to be helped into the chair.

Speaker 21 (24:14):
I'm the one needs all the help right now.

Speaker 23 (24:16):
I can't help my clients, so I need a little
help getting into that stuff. But this is a great
time of the year for top water plugs, bearer props,
zero spooks, walking dog baits that you can. You know,
there's a ton of them out there, different types. What's
that when you get the better strikes?

Speaker 21 (24:34):
What's that?

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Walk the walking dog? Hello, this is Joe Wolverine.

Speaker 21 (24:40):
Did you ask a question?

Speaker 8 (24:41):
Joe?

Speaker 6 (24:42):
Yeah, the walking the what's it called the walking walking.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Talking dog bait dog walk the dog?

Speaker 23 (24:49):
Yeah, you walk the dog with Xera spooks, especially for peacocks.
But even the baths are hitting better. Right, This is
a good time for everything. Everything turns on better now.

Speaker 8 (24:58):
So it's it's u.

Speaker 21 (25:00):
It's kind of like, uh, I'll bet Eric's hitting on
more things at home too.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
You know it's wrong with this guy. Man. He thinks
he thinks I'm not getting Eddy, which is totally wrong,
I might add, really anyway, Oh, have a great weekend,
heal up, get better one.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
Wait, I didn't even get to ask him another question.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
Time because the clock is rocketbad. Is gonna be a
short answer? Go ahead, that's up, that's up good?

Speaker 6 (25:31):
And is there like with when you get these little
cold fronts like this, does it really affect in the
long run like some of the other exotics like uh
clowns and all that great question?

Speaker 3 (25:41):
Thank you?

Speaker 23 (25:42):
You know, these cold fronts here aren't enough to change
anything other than barometer going up and down a little bit.

Speaker 8 (25:48):
That.

Speaker 21 (25:49):
But it's these are not severe coal fronts.

Speaker 8 (25:52):
You know.

Speaker 21 (25:52):
Until we start getting some of that, it's not going
to change a lot. It only helps to me.

Speaker 23 (25:56):
It only helps because it gets things stirred up a
little bit able to breathe only better. Shopping the water
better for top flower acting and top flour is my
favorite way to catch peacock. Pass large, bounce past all that.
So it's this is a good time. This is a
good time.

Speaker 21 (26:09):
Everybody should get down as much as they can right now.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Al Sirusly may feel up. Feel better, heel up and
get back to get back on your boat and do
your thing. Man, because you're the man, You're the best king. Dude.

Speaker 23 (26:23):

Speaker 22 (31:32):
Hey, cap, good morning guys in uh, I know it's
done A good.

Speaker 3 (31:37):
Morning for me so far.

Speaker 9 (31:38):
I got up on time.

Speaker 22 (31:39):
I didn't over slip the alarm and I'm ready to
go go have a good day.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
To day.

Speaker 22 (31:44):
I was gonna say, go catch him, but I'm taking
a day off the day from fishing to go to
a special event that I'm going to.

Speaker 33 (31:50):
So uh.

Speaker 22 (31:52):
I've been inshore fishing because of the wind and because
the fisher thicker and it's easier and the lighter tackle
and all that stuff. But yesterday and the day before
I got inshore grand slams. That's when you catch trout,
snook and redfish in the course of the day. And

(32:13):
I was with our old friend Brian Sanders over in
Chuckolawski on Thursday and we had so many giant trout.
It was just great for the trout. And we had
a fair amount of snook and a few red fish
and a lot of catfish, and saw a lot of
beautiful everglace country. I mean, you go on those chips.

Speaker 34 (32:36):
If you didn't catch any fish, it.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Would still be great.

Speaker 22 (32:38):
We see bald eagles and ospreys and ibises. Is really neat.
And then yesterday I went with my good friend Captain
Glenn Austin in Sebastian, which is on the east coast
of Florida. The first I was in chuck Aluski on
the west coast, yes as on the east coast, and
I caught a grand slam and I had I had

(33:00):
one red fish, I had a load of trout. I
had several snook and some sneaks. Sneaks are are snook
that are too small to brag about that.

Speaker 34 (33:10):
We got some.

Speaker 22 (33:11):
Pretty small ones mixed in with some decent sizes. But
I had a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
And again, the.

Speaker 22 (33:17):
Bird life and the marine life, you know, a lot
of you know, it's a real problem in a lot
of places if you inshore fishing nowadays, if you start
catching snook or trout or even redfish or jack Traville's
wif we did catch a lot of By the way, uh,
the porpoise will come around and eat your fish as

(33:38):
you release them.

Speaker 21 (33:39):
So you catch the fish, you're careful with.

Speaker 22 (33:41):
Them, you slip the hook out, you're slipping back in
the water, and all of a sudden there's a big
eruption next to the boat and a porpoise ate your fish.
So what the what the guides and everybody have come
to doing is is they put their fish in alive
well and then when they're done casting mangrove shoreline, which

(34:02):
which is where they catch the fish. They go right
up against the trees and let their fish go in
the mangrove roots where they purpose can't get to them.
The fish live in the roots to avoid the porpoise,
and you put them back in the roots instead of
letting them go one hundred feet away where the porpoises
again before they get the shore us slip a few

(34:25):
fish in your live well and then slide into the
mangroes after you already beat them up with your plugs
and you snag the trees and everything else, and slide
your fish back into the mango roots where they can
hide from the purpose but really really important. Otherwise you
get the porpoise comed up to your boat and they're
just sticking their head of the water next to the
boat going, hey, you.

Speaker 34 (34:45):
Got any more trouts for sale?

Speaker 22 (34:47):
On that Marine life show can get a little bit
much at times. Yeah, we were casting. We were casting
surface plugs like skinter walks by Wrap zero spooks, and
we're using a lot of paddle tails, which is really interesting.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
The world of rubber Lewis.

Speaker 22 (35:07):
Is that you put a lead headed jig on your line,
which is a leadhead and a hook, and then you
add a paddle tail, which is perpendicular to the to
the main body of the rubber lured. It vibrates back
and forth. You get a lot of vibration in the
water which helps the fish find it, particularly when you're
in muddy water. And then you got straight tails which

(35:30):
just flied through the water. And then you got I
got some many designs and that it's crazy, but really
some fun fish in the last couple of days. And
I'm looking forward to a couple more days next week,
all right, and then spend a couple of evenings at
IGFA and Billfish Foundation during the boat show and stayed

(35:52):
for another week, and then I'll cruise out of town.
So have a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Very cool capital. Yeah. I love your journeys, your travels,
your fishing. You're fishing in more than I think ever
before in your life. And uh, just doing it the
right way, man, Just finding new spots, new caps there, Joe, and.

We're gonna get a hook covery.

Speaker 34 (37:18):
I'm here, all right, I'm.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
Here selling your breathing nit trocks on a radio show.
Live here Die Trucks. That's a combination nitrox. What's the
hydrogen and oxygen for the deep deep divers? Oh okay,
special blended mix. If you had a diving card, I'm
sure if I diver now by forty years. Oh really,
pack Patty back in the day, I know by deck
depression stops. And you know, I could talk to Jim

(37:41):
about diving because I'm actually a licensed diver. No you're not,
as well as a licensed boat captain. I'm no, you're not.
I got licenses. I'm also a licensed yacht broker.

Speaker 8 (37:49):
No you're not.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
I got a lot of licenses, man. Uh. The only
one I don't have is my Forida driver's license has
been canceled for years. I was kidding about that. Okay, No,
you're not driver illegally. And I see we get Matthew
back on live water here with this new hookup because
he sound like he was Mini Mouser for a minute.
Jee there, there you go. There's your.

Speaker 34 (38:14):
Let me give you a little class of nitros, all right.
Nitrox gives you more oxygen when you dive. As a
scuba diver, nitrogen is your enemy. It's seventy nine percent
of the air we breathe is nitrogen. And so what
you're doing is you're getting up to about forty percent
is the max for recreational guys. I normally dive like

(38:38):
thirty five percent the other day, which gives me less
surface intable time because I don't it the body doesn't
take the nitrogen molecule's good, you know, they don't kind
of like take those back in. Uh So there's a
long story to say. All right, here's the deal. I

(39:01):
dove on Wednesday. We were doing seventy eighty feet and
we were north and I couldn't see five feet. It
was that ugly. Oh god, it was terrible. Now yesterday
improved a little bit, and I think today is going
to improve.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
To hang on side. Hey, Steven, justin Grant's at your
front door waiting for you.

Speaker 5 (39:23):
How do you know that.

Speaker 7 (39:24):
No, he's not at my front door. He's in the studio.
We're talking.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
Oh, so continue on, Jim. Sorry to cut you off there, buddy.

Speaker 34 (39:31):
Can I continue on?

Speaker 3 (39:33):
Please?

Speaker 34 (39:33):
So today should be nice, But today should be nice,
But then it's going to blow up again all next week, buddy,
that boat show is going to be howling. It's gonna
be wow. Besides the fact that it's Halloween. Eric, are
you going to be at the boat.

Speaker 3 (39:49):
Show five straight days? My friend? Yes, I love it.

Speaker 34 (39:54):
At the convention Center, at the convention.

Speaker 3 (39:56):

Speaker 34 (40:00):
Sitting down sewing sewing boats.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Okay, I'm thirty eight dollars Hamburger, go ahead, continue on please.

Speaker 34 (40:07):
All right, we meet me too. But I do have
some lobster tails frozen. What your name on it? No,
don't give these away. Don't give these away, Joe. I'm
going right to Eric. I'm going right to Eric. Okay,
what the heck?

Speaker 4 (40:21):
If I have a guy once, I'm always on your side.

Speaker 3 (40:25):
Five hundred thousand dollars boat, I'm giving him a couple
of tales, trust me. Okay.

Speaker 34 (40:29):
Oh, then that's it, buddy. And then the guy's gonna
gonna bail on you and you're not You're gonna be
out out tails again for the years.

Speaker 3 (40:38):
I won't get give the guy a free drink. I'll
keep your tails free drink.

Speaker 34 (40:44):
There you go, and you need to get me a
free drink?

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Come on, will yeah, me too?

Speaker 3 (40:48):
I buy it. Okay, go to the bar together.

Speaker 34 (40:51):
Oh, I tell you what, I tell you what? Yeah,
listen to the conditions. And I love diving October. You
know that. But more than's really changed this past week
or so, it's been really ugly. The wind was blowing
pretty hard last weekend, and we finally got a little
break in the action. But boy, I mean you couldn't

(41:12):
see it was and it was chilly, seventy eight seventy
nine degrees. It's been listen, it's been eighty four degrees.
It's been absolutely gorgeous. Right the week before it was
absolutely beautiful. Lobsters everywhere.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
Guess why it's so great when you can't see Because
you can't see the sleeping grouper minding its business by
the little old game. It's okay, you can't see the
poor hawk fish mind a sea fan. Okay, so think
about all those fish Joe that did not get a
spear to the freaking brain haul this week. That's so

(41:45):
so happy.

Speaker 34 (41:47):
Well, guess what a boat? I was on a little
boat called seafish out a boat, a nice little thing.
Bretton Helen right, and then really good good people, and
we went north and the guy was with us was Robert,
no older guy like me, just a good time. We
had a couple of the buddies with me and we
had a good time. Well, he did shoot a coubrera

(42:09):
snapper even though even though five foot of visibility he
was able to spear.

Speaker 3 (42:15):
Why would that? First of all, they're not even great
eating guys.

Speaker 34 (42:20):
I know they're not as good.

Speaker 4 (42:23):
They're sak dude, they're like dinosaurs. Man, are you kidding me?

Speaker 3 (42:27):
Okay? Even you put a spear through a dinosaurs brain hole.
What the hell?

Speaker 4 (42:32):
What's cool?

Speaker 34 (42:32):
One last thing to do? You guys catch them all
the time. You guys catch them all the time. And
it's funny. Bouncer uses uh, lobsters, live lobsters to catch couberras.
That's that's kind of you do it.

Speaker 3 (42:45):
That's pretty cool. Catch fish. Here we go, Here we go,
real ben, catch fish with a rod reel. Okay, we
don't sneak up with a brain holes shot.

Speaker 34 (42:55):
Okay, just come on listen. I catch fish on a
rod in the reel. But it's the electric. I gotta
press some button. I got a press some button.

Speaker 3 (43:03):

Speaker 34 (43:39):
We'll be at the Convention Center as part of the
Blue Wild, which is really good. It's a nice little
section of just diving and all that sapt uh runs
at and uh uh let's see my my favorite guy
CoA uh spear guns. He'll be there, Johnny Pillito, he
owns it and really really nice. He's come out with

(43:59):

Speaker 3 (50:54):
Go Boldly, Going boldly walking to the set, walking back

Speaker 5 (51:01):
My friend, morning morning man. Are you doing man? I'm

Speaker 3 (51:07):
The guys next to the freak show there.

Speaker 6 (51:09):
Man, I told them you wouldn't be surprised. He's like, oh, yeah,
there's Joe.

Speaker 5 (51:15):
Yeah, yeah, I walked in. I was saying, hey, where's
my costing?

Speaker 3 (51:18):
Right? I have one four years right here? And we're
talking to Grant later to show about the big flip
show coming up next weekend when Mercy and Wrings doing
out there. Yeah, what motors you may be debuting and
some of the cool you have, like an interactive booth
out there right.

Speaker 38 (51:33):
Uh yeah, so we'll have we'll have our booth and
then our big trucks that we bring everywhere.

Speaker 3 (51:37):
We'll have that and Mercury Traveling that is a cool machine.

Speaker 38 (51:41):
We have a Yeah, they're they're awesome. Our team handles
out really well. And then we have a brand new
racing specific truck that's going to be there also, so
it's gonna be nothing but Mercury Racing.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
You got any video games you're playing out there, we
can hook them up. You know. I give great credit
because he also hooked us up with a Simrad unit
because you have been there. Now you kind of transferred
over within the company ranking to Mercury. Now, oh yeah,
so you provided us with this amazing unit here. He
gave us the signage the flags that I'm warning your

(52:11):
buff by the way. So Mercury and Grant Lester has
been like Santa Claus with this show man.

Speaker 38 (52:17):
It's uh, it helps when you're when you got good
products to support and everything like that. So I love,
you know, pushing all the brands that I believe in.

Speaker 7 (52:23):
Hey, Eric, I was just talking with Grant.

Speaker 9 (52:26):
I didn't know this. I learned something you're just talking about, Grant.
I didn't know that in the world of outboard motors, Mercury,
the V tens and V twelves, there's no no one
else in that category that has that kind of power
and speed for the boats is incredible.

Speaker 3 (52:39):
They own it, man, pretty much. Yeah, they own it.
We're gonna talk more about that, but thanks for bringing up.
They are truly one of a kind. We've got the
Sean Rolls online. Wonder Joe your buddy, bring them on
man cat in Oh that was a weak.

Speaker 10 (52:53):
Good morning.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
What's going on guys, Hey, Bud, how's it going, Sean?
We're doing the water today. What do you do, buddy?

Speaker 39 (53:00):
I'm on the water right.

Speaker 10 (53:01):
Now with the team.

Speaker 39 (53:02):
We're gonna we got a new new to us boat.
We're gonna check it out here. But I heard you
guys talking to the Mercury guy there. I'm a big
fan and probably a lifelong Mercury guy's had a one
in nineteen ninety nine. Wow, and my boat now is
a twenty twenty one Mercury.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
So yeah, what what?

Speaker 10 (53:24):
Well?

Speaker 3 (53:25):
Grant see how to our our friend, Sean the Burkery man.

Speaker 5 (53:28):
Sean, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (53:29):
Man?

Speaker 5 (53:29):
I appreciate the support and everything in the kind word?

Speaker 3 (53:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 39 (53:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (53:34):
What what power? What side you got? The back of
your boat? What do you got me?

Speaker 39 (53:38):
I've always had one fifteens, you know, small boat guy?

Speaker 3 (53:40):
So okay, tried and true? Yeah, nice yeah, one fifteen
she got twins or single singles man?

Speaker 39 (53:47):
Nineteen foot boat. Yeah, eight hundred hours on it, going strong?
Hasn't miss missed a beat yet.

Speaker 5 (53:52):
I think just waking up right.

Speaker 3 (53:54):
Yeah, Grant with Grant recommend putting vats wolve on the
back of the boat.

Speaker 5 (53:58):
We'll make it. We'll make it a little big word.

Speaker 3 (54:02):
I like it.

Speaker 10 (54:02):
I like it it.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
It'll be doing like ninety five miles an hour. All right,
So you're after shot? What are you fishing? Were man?

Speaker 10 (54:10):
Uh?

Speaker 39 (54:10):
So our tournament team we got a new to us.
But like I was saying, and we're gonna go out
here and kind of shake it down. Check out the
live well pumps and put some goggle eyes out and
hopefully we'll catch some kingfish and sailfish and who knows
n set them out year around right now?

Speaker 6 (54:24):
So have you heard any reports of any wahoo or
anything like that?

Speaker 39 (54:28):
Yeah, you know, they're starting to triple in so I
seen like two or three call yesterday. The biggest thing
with all this weather and storms and rain is the water.
I mean, up north yesterday the water was dirty and brown.
But down south from the Pomping I actual see it
was nice and blue all the way into like one
hundred feet so nice. You really got to kind of
fish the water and off the spots that you're used

(54:49):
to this kind of year with the water.

Speaker 3 (54:50):
So okay, cool man, Well, very cool shot, So good
luck with that. I'm glad you're a brickery man. Uh
have you tried to yact this week at all? It's
been strictly power you know.

Speaker 39 (55:02):
I haven't been on the yak man, and the weather's
gonna look good coming up.

Speaker 3 (55:06):
Well yeah, man, he left the yack. Joe Sean said
to go out on the water.

Speaker 10 (55:14):
Okay every day.

Speaker 4 (55:17):
Come on, now you can handle that. You're one of
the old time.

Speaker 39 (55:20):
Yeah, come on man, Yeah, I'll go.

Speaker 3 (55:22):
I'll go.

Speaker 5 (55:23):
You go, Joe, I knew it. I'll get you out there.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
Show show Joe, he'll take you out. Okay, yeah, exactly,
show show that sorry as Wolverina, I will Sean will
leave you at the doctor.

Speaker 4 (55:36):
That'll give me the confidence.

Speaker 3 (55:38):
You're gonna see what I see. I got this knucklehead
thinks he's really actually he actually believes he's Wolverine in
real life.

Speaker 4 (55:43):
Well I I yeah, in a past, I know, I know.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
Job on Jovi. Yeah, you've been all kinds of people.

Speaker 7 (55:49):
And then we have another person with a puppy dog.

Speaker 5 (55:52):
Yeah, show him your mask. I want you to put
your mask on.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
Eric, I think this shows how much I care about animals.
Okay to see though.

Speaker 7 (56:01):
By the way, pugs don't do well in water.

Speaker 3 (56:03):
Whatever, Sean, could we cond be safe out there?

Speaker 5 (56:07):
Man?

Speaker 3 (56:08):
Merk buddy, okay, say your.

Speaker 39 (56:09):
Buddy all right, see you guys, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (56:11):
I so be the grant lest our guests. We have
a minute shure to talk about the few things. Uh
Flip's coming up next to Wednesday through Sunday Fort Laudon
Convention Center. What's murk got out there, buddy?

Speaker 38 (56:23):
We got everything from our electric line all the way
out to the V twelve.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
You said electric line, Oh yeah, what did you have?
An electric line?

Speaker 5 (56:30):
We added that about a year back called Avatar.

Speaker 3 (56:33):
No kidding, that's news man. Actually might be right.

Speaker 38 (56:38):
Up Joe's alley because they uh probably fits the kayak
applications pretty well.

Speaker 3 (56:44):
Smaller horsepower threw up, I mean actually thrust up taking right.

Speaker 5 (56:48):
Yeah, so it's not horsepower rated.

Speaker 38 (56:50):
But we do like a seven point five, which is
like a tiller handle in you know, internal battery everything
like that, the kind of grab and go style that
just hooks onto the back kind of like like a
two horse equivalent. But electric I mean it's it's so
hard to compare electric to gasp. I mean, if you
have like an electric golf cart compared to a gas
dog part you would know. But but yeah, we got

(57:11):
that electric line there.

Speaker 5 (57:12):
We got a couple of models of those.

Speaker 3 (57:14):
Terrific. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (57:15):
What's funny is more and more of some of.

Speaker 6 (57:19):
These kayak tournaments they're they're opening up divisions with motors,
so they're doing like a motorized kayak.

Speaker 3 (57:27):
You might actually put that in your own series, maybe
have an electric division, man, because we've been talking about
that for a while.

Speaker 4 (57:32):
We have been actually yeah, yeah, we'll talk.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
You're still we saw to act Joe unfortunately, but yeah,
it's a good idea. Oh okay. Anyway, So at flips also,
so you bring out the V tens that Stevens just mentioned.
A lot of folks may not be aware of the
fact you've got this really great four hundred horse power
V ten. Oh yeah, which is just crazy. I've actually
driven that motor on a bow demo. Yeah, crazy, amazing, man.

Speaker 38 (57:56):
Yeah, it's it's it's done us well, it's supported everything
really well. I mean, it just gives it gives a
much different feel to a customer. That makes it actually
feel like you got a four hundred on the back.

Speaker 3 (58:07):
What's your most popular motor size do you think overall
down here? Yeah? Four hundreds, really, the four hundreds. Anythink
below that two hundreds or two fifties or well.

Speaker 4 (58:16):
I think it'd be the two hundreds.

Speaker 38 (58:17):
I thought it would be now two hundreds being the
V six, A lot of people will pay, you know,
an upgrade to a VA because it just kind of
makes sense in that price range.

Speaker 5 (58:24):
Can they get fitted the wait and everything like that.

Speaker 38 (58:26):
It's somewhat close, but yeah, everything V eight would be
the probably the second guy. So a three hundred is
going to be the most popular, but the four hundred
right now is h is by far the number one.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
And I'm thinking the holidays are coming up, why not
repower with the brand new Mercury. I mean, you get
that little two stroke cluck running back just joking it
and hacking and coughing. I usually have those back today,
but us two strokers, so that big old smoke out there,
just like.

Speaker 9 (58:48):
Hey, Eric, I was right with you because I've had
a two stroke Mercury for for many, many many years.
And then when I talk with you and the guys
at Mercury and Nautical about switching over to the four stroke.

Speaker 7 (58:59):
For my pondtooon.

Speaker 9 (59:00):
I'm like, well, I really want to spend this and
after doing it was the best decision ever because it's
so quiet, it's so fuel efficient, and it just it
changed the changes the game and boating. You have to
do anything to this motor except start it and run it.

Speaker 3 (59:14):
Man Yeah, no, but I tell one of my my
dreams on my bucket list, I want to go out
the lake x that famous Mercury guy and well, I
don't watch I want to watch you guys. I want
to get out there to test these voters and what
you guys put them through, because you do a lot
of a lot of R and D out there Manns.

Speaker 5 (59:30):
Yeah, absolutely it helps.

Speaker 38 (59:32):
I mean just having a local place that we can
take you know, builders and customers out there and just
demo and run some stuff.

Speaker 5 (59:37):
You know.

Speaker 3 (59:38):
Yeah, that'd be pretty bad ass to see.

Speaker 5 (59:40):
They're fishing there. I may or may not be able to.

Speaker 3 (59:46):
It's so secret Joe that he doesn't even know the
fish count.

Speaker 9 (59:50):
Grant it's been to the factory though. That's cool and
fond of lac right.

Speaker 5 (59:54):
Yeah, it was almost like.

Speaker 4 (59:55):
I asked him where Area fifty one was.

Speaker 3 (59:57):
He was like, aheah, it's under wraps. But any way,
clocks as we've got to rocket there and stop talking, right,

Actually, both of the boats just left the dock here,
Captain Tyler and Captain Eddie uh Eddie Walters just left
the dock, so they're getting ready to get tight. Put
the customers on some fish. I'm up here actually in
New York. You know, just went to the Garden for
my first Ranger game this week, saw them play the Panthers.

Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
Cool.

Speaker 33 (01:06:30):
Yeah, it was pretty cool. And then you know, I
went to a Devil's game. That was nice. One of
my buddies up here is a big Devils fans, So
we went to a couple of hockey games and I
made my way over to Pittsburgh. I saw the Jets
get whooped by the Steelers out there in Pittsburgh. Got
to meet all the great fans, and Pittsburgh's a great place.
I recommend you know if your team's playing them, When

(01:06:50):
the Dolphins play Pittsburgh, going out there, man, it's a
good time.

Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
Joe. This guy is so dedicated, but it actually gets
off his butt, jumps on a plane and it goes
up to New York. I go up to Boston or
her and he's actually a fan in the stands man,
like Betty, that's pretty cool on your part, man, I think.

Speaker 8 (01:07:06):
I mean.

Speaker 33 (01:07:06):
I saw the wind was blowing for a few days,
so I took off and then really the trip got
prolonged when I realized the Panthers were playing the Rangers
up here. I said, all right, I got to stay
for a couple of days.

Speaker 8 (01:07:16):
For that one.

Speaker 3 (01:07:17):

Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
Benny Brandon again, Yeah, Benny, Benny.

Speaker 4 (01:07:45):
I used to go to football games, raider games until well.

Speaker 3 (01:07:50):
Used to go to boat shows too, Joe, if you did,
you're actually doing yact demonstrations after the Dog Adventure. Yeah,
whatever whatever stopped you from doing that again? Oh you
got afraid of the water. You know, we're afraid of
the deep. I had too much fun. It was a
pull water too deep for you.

Speaker 6 (01:08:08):
Uh no, Actually, you know what, it was actually a
really good time. I loved interacting with people and I
love that stuff. But you know, it's just Mia was
born and you know, dad life kind of came in
and then you know, you're there for how many days?

Speaker 4 (01:08:22):
Street It's like, yeah, I mean, I mean we were
just talking about that.

Speaker 5 (01:08:27):
That feels every bit of fun.

Speaker 7 (01:08:28):
Now you can take me into the boat show though, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:08:31):
Thanks Steven.

Speaker 3 (01:08:32):
Yeah, great great one there, Steve, so betting. I'm gonna
put it out there and I don't even know what
you have on your boat. Our friend Grant Lester's from
Mercury Marine. Do you have any that kind of power
on your two vessels? Or am I just reaching it
the wrong right now? Okay? Yeah, I will say though,
when you decide to repower, I'll get you a great

(01:08:54):
deal on a couple of E ten four hundreds. Just
I have a guy over here with a hook up.

Speaker 4 (01:08:57):
Okay, you know the guy Yeah over the sounds good, okay, Benny.

Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
So guys fishing this weekend? Man, what do you think
your best bet would be? Man? Look for some mahi
black in tuna wall. What's bite out there?

Speaker 8 (01:09:09):
Man?

Speaker 33 (01:09:10):
You could kind of target a little bit of anything
right now. You Definitely, in the past couple of days,
we've loaded the box with a lot of kingfish, a
lot of tunas being little black fans and skip jacks.
The mahi and wahoo have been a little more random.
But there's some size to the mahi right now compared
to a few weeks ago where we're still picking at

(01:09:30):
some little, you know, peanut mahi. So yeah, I mean,
you could kind of give it a world anywhere you
want to go. If you're going to target the kings,
you know, staying shallow inside that green water maybe eighty
to one twenty area. The skippies in the wahoo and
mahi all been pretty close on that first blue water
color line. So just find where that water goes from
that greenish color to that blue water and get in

(01:09:53):
that nice blue water and you'll find yourself. Some tunas
and mahi probably right now.

Speaker 3 (01:09:59):
Are going why what the skippies are? Because I heard
the people are think of peanut butter. I think, man, Yeah,
so skippies, little tunas. Some people mistaking them for benitas.
They have a little bit of a different design on
their back where they have like lines going across their back,
as opposed to the black fins that have that nice
gold bar and the long black fin.

Speaker 8 (01:10:19):
They have a shorter peck fin. They are real strong fish.

Speaker 33 (01:10:22):
If you get a nice fifteen to twenty five pounds skippy,
you know, especially on like the planar line, they usually
trick you where you think it's a nice wahoo or
something at first.

Speaker 8 (01:10:32):
But they definitely fight real strong.

Speaker 33 (01:10:34):
Some people think they're really good to eat compared to
black fin.

Speaker 8 (01:10:38):
I think they're similar to black fin.

Speaker 4 (01:10:41):
They're canned, right, aren't they the can tuna.

Speaker 33 (01:10:44):
Yeah, they apparently make a lot of different things with them.
I know can tunas a lot of the albu core
tuna that you know skippies too.

Speaker 8 (01:10:52):
They could also be cantuna.

Speaker 33 (01:10:54):
But yeah, ultimately, if you take some of them loins
and boil them up, you know you're gonna have it's
like cantuna.

Speaker 8 (01:11:01):
Mix it with some mayonnaise and it's gonna taste way fresher.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
And then who who would boil fish? Man? I can't
think about that.

Speaker 8 (01:11:08):
Well, that's what you're when you're eating cantuna.

Speaker 33 (01:11:10):
It's basically boiled tuna fish.

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
I know rat Lester's wife or serving a plate at
boiled tuna, she might not be his wife for long.

Speaker 5 (01:11:18):
I know I probably did something to deserve it. If
you serve me boiled.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
Tuna, missus Luster would be really pissed off serving you
boiled tuna, that's for sure. Man. If they're probably it's
probably early, you know, I mean it is early. Actually,
we don't have to wake up to a fishing trip,
so we actually woke up int a bed to do
our report. So you're always a trooper, bro. Thanks so much, man,
We appreciate that. Going out sounds good. Guys, talk to

(01:11:44):
you soon, all right. So great Luster is a great
friend here from Mercury Marine. Uh, we'll get the big

Speaker 8 (01:12:45):

Speaker 9 (01:12:45):
You guys always say, from the sprinklers, but just running
a boat on the water. You get that on cleats
and things like that.

Speaker 8 (01:12:51):
True.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Yeah, so if you want that. Joe said, number one
was the last number he threw out there, right one.

Speaker 5 (01:12:57):
Who picks? Who picks the first one when you go
one through ten?

Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Yes, seriously, that's the first line that lights up at
nine forty. Okay, if it goes flashing red, that's the
one it wins.

Speaker 5 (01:13:05):
Oh really, no, I'm saying, like Joe to pick number
one out.

Speaker 3 (01:13:08):
Of it was it was actually very stupid. Grand so
eight six six eight zero one zero nine forty caller
number one. No, you're not stupid? Is the lever he picked?

Speaker 4 (01:13:21):

Yes you can, all right, cool, very cool man. I
guess that number one was pretty good. Now it's pretty silly,
but exactly great. Work out, Coach Norm. I hate making
Norm way. He gets pissed off pretty quick.

Speaker 4 (01:20:03):
Let me do the north thing?

Speaker 3 (01:20:04):
Good?

Speaker 4 (01:20:05):
Hey, Norm, how's it going.

Speaker 3 (01:20:11):
Norry to buddy?

Speaker 5 (01:20:13):
Yeah, I'm doing good.

Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
How are you guys? Have me as a clam man.
We're here on the set of Stephen J. Gray. Weather's
cooperating so far, and you and I tried to chat
last day. You had a charter going on, but you
had mentioned briefly the fishing and broward has been pretty
damn good.

Speaker 43 (01:20:28):
Yeah, it was really good this week. There were a
lot of mahis pot some decent fish too. Up to
about fifteen to twenty pounds. Yeah, there was some spattering
of wahoes kingfish and the sailfish started to bite pretty
good this week. The Spanish mackerel is starting to show

(01:20:49):
up here and shore. So on one thing you might
want to try that you guys Spanish macerel fishing, or
you're trying to catch live value to get a Spanish smackerel,
have a rig ready and uh slow, troll a live
Spanish mackerel in shallow water and you might just catch
the biggest kicking fish of your life doing that.

Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
Wow, Spanish bach for a big king man. How about that?

Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
That's pretty awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
Yeah, yeah, thank you.

Speaker 43 (01:21:20):
Yeah, you can bite on sales in the afternoon here
for a couple of days. Uh, my value seemed to
be the ticket. There's still a few mullets insure. We
haven't had much of a mullet run this year, but
there's still a few around and uh overall it's it's
pretty pretty decent.

Speaker 3 (01:21:40):
So you're either on a water norm or in your truck.
Where are you a boat? What are you doing? Man?
You're somewhere mobile? Yeah, I'm on the boat. You're on
the boat. Very cool?

Speaker 6 (01:21:49):
Man has that the fish Hey, Norm, Yeah, Hey Joe,
how's how's Uh, hey, Bud, how's the snook fishing?

Speaker 4 (01:21:57):
I hear it's pretty epic over there.

Speaker 43 (01:22:01):
Uh well, the snugs get real active when the mullets
are running through and there's been a there's been a
few guys snook pretty good on those.

Speaker 8 (01:22:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:22:11):
I have a cut in snook in years.

Speaker 6 (01:22:13):
Oh really yeah, Oh dude, they're all over the beach,
all over the beach.

Speaker 3 (01:22:21):
Yeah, very cool. Well, normalist, you're on your way to
do you think, so I'll let you go and do
your business to catch the fish. But thank you very
much as always, brother man, you're the man. Dude.

Speaker 4 (01:22:30):
Thanks Norm.

Speaker 5 (01:22:32):
All right, guys, run that up.

Speaker 7 (01:22:34):
Hey Grant?

Speaker 9 (01:22:34):
Did Grant you post some guys fishing from out of
his car and throws his fishing rod into a canal
from like twenty five feet away and catches a fish.

Speaker 7 (01:22:42):
That was crazy, man.

Speaker 38 (01:22:43):
I had a coworker I used to work with that
West Marine that was notorious for fishing out of his volvo.

Speaker 5 (01:22:47):
So it don't what Yeah you posted that?

Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:22:52):
Yeah checked out?

Speaker 3 (01:22:53):
Wow? All right? So I gotta know here, Johnny, he's
only got like maybe a minute or two to talk
to us. He's actually heading out somewhere spring on Johnny
right now, Johnny Johnny, Good morning, buddy, Yo, Johnny.

Speaker 4 (01:23:06):
Good morning, guys.

Speaker 42 (01:23:07):
How y'all doing today?

Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
Well, I'm trying to get these photos over to Steve.
When you're showing me a couple of photos here of
a couple of small fishure, what do you got? Just
shell cracker in one hand?

Speaker 8 (01:23:16):
There?

Speaker 3 (01:23:16):
What do you got it? What are you holding that photo?

Speaker 42 (01:23:18):
So that's both the same fish that was I posted it,
you know earlier in the week. That's my biggest blue
gill I've ever caught in South Florida. Now, they obviously
get a lot bigger, you know, in South Carolina, North Florida,
Lake Hasty, they get gigantic. But that's definitely the fattest
one I've ever seen. And I'm about to pick up

(01:23:41):
a trip, so that's why I'm a little short on time,
but I got a few minutes to talk. So, biggest
bluegill on the boat.

Speaker 4 (01:23:47):
It was insane.

Speaker 42 (01:23:48):
Caught him on a a little jig called the Big Jigs.
It's made to look like a little like a bug essentially,
and it was awesome.

Speaker 20 (01:23:58):
Man.

Speaker 42 (01:23:58):
We you know, when you're blue fishing, you, you know,
subsequently also catch a lot of Mayan cichlids. And the
Mayan cichlids, compared to a blue guild, they will pull
five times as much drag as a blue gild Blue
gat doesn't really you know, fight hard or pull any drags.
So this guy was peeling drag. I'm like, oh, it's

(01:24:19):
just another mine, you know. Let me, let me just
try to shake him off, get him up, you know,
get him in the boat, get him.

Speaker 4 (01:24:25):
Out of here or whatever.

Speaker 10 (01:24:26):
And all of a.

Speaker 42 (01:24:26):
Sudden, I see, like, you know, some deeper color coming
up next to the side of the boat, and I'm like, what,
So made sure to get him in the boat, put
him in the live well, took a bunch of good
pictures with him. I mean, he was just he was
so thick.

Speaker 3 (01:24:42):
We we gave.

Speaker 42 (01:24:43):
Him the nickname Bubba, and then we send him on
his way.

Speaker 4 (01:24:47):
That's insane man.

Speaker 5 (01:24:49):
Only one for the scrap book there.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
I give credit because that's probably the last fish that
would target Joe as a blue gildt. Because I'm used
to fighting peacock in large amount right occasionally my pocket,
my balcony, but bluegill is not one of my targeted
fishes are not knocking you, Johnny, just not one of
my favorite fish to go out to try to catch.

Speaker 38 (01:25:08):
What's the what's the records, I'll tell you that.

Speaker 42 (01:25:12):
Yeah, it's like three pounds.

Speaker 3 (01:25:16):
That's a big blue gills, some big ass blue guilty.
It's truth. Yeah, that's big.

Speaker 10 (01:25:23):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
So you said you're head to a trip today. Where
about you go? What are you looking for?

Speaker 42 (01:25:28):
Yeah, we're on Lake Ida, got a peacock Bash trip
and they've been pretty fired.

Speaker 21 (01:25:33):
Up, you know.

Speaker 42 (01:25:34):
The Unfortunately for the lake right now, they've been really
messing with the water levels quite a bit. So the
water level is about a foot lower than normal, which
I don't know if you guys know much about Lake Ida,
but it's a very shallow lake and all of the canals,
you know that basically we with fish today. Canals with
docks and structure, all that stuff is going to be

(01:25:57):
out of the water. So you know we're gonna obvious
they have to make some magic happen. But you know,
I think we'll get on them. I think there'll be
some some deeper bites. Water temperature on the lake right
now is seventy seven degrees.

Speaker 5 (01:26:10):
So you know you could catch him out deep out.

Speaker 42 (01:26:12):
In the open, or you could, you know, catch them
right at the mouth of some of those canals.

Speaker 29 (01:26:16):
Where the docks are there.

Speaker 5 (01:26:18):
Those bits are just waiting for that water to.

Speaker 21 (01:26:20):
Get back up.

Speaker 42 (01:26:21):
They can get, you know, right back under their dock there.

Speaker 21 (01:26:24):
So but I think it should be a good day overall.
It's beautiful out little Chili.

Speaker 42 (01:26:28):
This morning for me running around being soaking wet through
on the cast net.

Speaker 3 (01:26:32):
But you know, we got to admit that he is
one guy that does use the uh, the sea word.
Joe c A N d y. He does toss us,
Yes he does. I didn't say it.

Speaker 6 (01:26:46):
Man, Get your candy, candy, your pop hard cracker Jacks.

Speaker 3 (01:26:55):
Can you imagine how much you scare a kid by
nineteen twenty five wearing a wolver remask shouting peanuts on
the corner.

Speaker 5 (01:27:03):
That joint be terrifying?

Speaker 3 (01:27:05):
Yeah, terrified? Ye twenty Hi, Well, Johnny, good luck, you
have a great day with your booking. You may catch
him up. Do what you do best man. You always
bring it strong and we appreciate you man.

Speaker 4 (01:27:14):
Thanks Johnny.

Speaker 21 (01:27:16):
All right, hey, guys, thank you so again.

Speaker 3 (01:27:19):
Special guest is Grant Leicester for Mercury Marine. We have
about a minute of the chat as we're going along

Speaker 5 (01:27:29):

Speaker 5 (01:27:32):

Speaker 38 (01:27:43):

know what our booth number is, but just look up.

Speaker 7 (01:27:48):

the mask so they'll find you. Excided to give. I
just said, but you got all these very cool motors displayed, right,

Speaker 38 (01:28:06):
Well yeah, we'll have that and then over at Bahiamar

so we'll be right there by the by the docks

Speaker 5 (01:28:15):
Walking into the tents.

one of our participating dealers, you get an extra two
year warranty of gold coverage. That is, so you have

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
That's non declining. Correct, right, correct, So it's a full
extra two years of full coverage.

Speaker 5 (01:28:42):
Well yeah, so full gold coverage. We have two different
packages for our warranty program. We have gold and platinum.

Speaker 3 (01:28:48):
If Joe goes out like you normally would do and
forgets to put oil in the powerhead of the Mercury
and he blows the injured up, he would be covered.

Speaker 38 (01:28:56):
Uh no, no, that falls underr next show.

Speaker 3 (01:29:01):

I really hate the fact when they bring out these
things in like October. Look, we have Christmas tree cakes already.
It's October.

Speaker 38 (01:34:50):
Okay, leave little Debbie alone.

Speaker 3 (01:34:54):
Yeah we'll perverted. Yeah, so Christmas tree CAKESE was a
little Debbie and freaky weird Santa Claus. I can't wait
to tell about that man. Anyway, back to the show,
Great Leicsters of special Guests of Mercury Marine will be
at the Big Flips Show this Wednesday through Sunday and out.
They're showing off the great wear as we have out there. Now.

(01:35:16):
They're saying the weather is supposed to be kind of
rank for the boat show.

Speaker 4 (01:35:19):
We know every year every year, yeah, it always is,
ever gets weird.

Speaker 3 (01:35:23):
So who better to put on than the greatest authority
on the planet, Jennifer Gray Warren. Hi, Jen, Weather Channel
and Discovery Channel diver which I know exactly.

Speaker 4 (01:35:34):
I wouldn't even get in the run.

Speaker 3 (01:35:36):
We gets all right, Jenny, did you like the advent?
I since your last night you said you'd laughed your
butt off over there, right, huh.

Speaker 45 (01:35:45):
Yeah, that was hilarious. That was hilarious. That was so good.

Speaker 4 (01:35:48):
That was for you, Jen.

Speaker 21 (01:35:49):
I get you credit every day.

Speaker 3 (01:35:52):
It was so funny. I get joke credit. You found me,
called me out and put it up there with the
long sea. All right. Anyway, Jack, we've got a good
look at day here is not much one blowing. The
skies are kind of blue. What's what's her day? We
can look alike.

Speaker 17 (01:36:08):
I guess yeah, it's nice.

Speaker 45 (01:36:10):
Today. We've got partly sunny skies here eighty two northeast
winds ten to fifteen could see gust up twenty knots.
Sees two to three feet. Inner coastal waters.

Speaker 17 (01:36:19):
A moderate chop.

Speaker 45 (01:36:21):
Tomorrow, partly sunny, high there eighty breezy with a northeast

in the Keys today, mostly sunny, high near eighty four,

Bay today northeast to east winds ten to fifteen knots.
Baywater's light to moderate chop. Sunday, northeast to east winds

(01:37:04):
but just a little bit of wind.

Speaker 7 (01:37:06):
I had a question for Jen.

Speaker 9 (01:37:08):
Is there anything in the tropics that could be a
potential situation down the road here.

Speaker 45 (01:37:16):
As of now, No, we are keeping our eye on
something that could or could not develop. Maybe next weekend.
It's still very very early to tell. But some of
the models have been picking up something that could impact
to say, like the Western Caribbean, maybe Cuba, South Florida.

(01:37:37):
It's too far to now, I mean it's but yeah,
I don't think hurricanes even had shut the door quite yet.
But we just have to watch for a couple more weeks.

Speaker 3 (01:37:47):
All right. I've got a question, because this is big
news for all of us, because we're gonna be either
locked in for five happy days. I'm sorry. The book
show is just Wednesday, Jen through Sunday at fort Landholl's
International Conventures. Any kind of maybe premonition of what the
weather might be, because every year it just it's happening.
It blows or flies or rain or whatever anything down

(01:38:10):
the road we might be looking at for that show.

Speaker 45 (01:38:13):
By the rain chances pick up on Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (01:38:18):
That same man, That's just what I thought you might say.
Joe Picks up on a Wednesday.

Speaker 45 (01:38:26):
Yeah right, it increased to about twenty miles an hour,
oh Thursday.

Speaker 3 (01:38:32):
Just get it's just getting better and better. Man, what great? Well,
there's a there's a plus in that gen z. When
it gets really bad, the weather's bad, and the folks
who are out there walking around, it forces them right
into the convention center. So it forces them right to
my sales booth. So that's the way I look at it,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:38:51):
Yeah, totally, that's a win win.

Speaker 10 (01:38:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 45 (01:38:54):
I get people will have bad luck, but you guys
will be great.

Speaker 5 (01:38:57):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:38:57):
So I want to go back on you real quick
for a second. Now, I screwed up your entire discovery
channel Destination dive. You said the show is now on
a break. You're reading your last show, and uh, can
people see it on the stream on Instagram or Facebook
or whatever?

Speaker 45 (01:39:11):
You can see it? I think people can see it
streaming online. So if you google Destination Dive, discovery channel,
you should be able to find streaming platforms that you
can still see it. Yeah, you've done, Eric, He's not.

Speaker 4 (01:39:28):
Even listening to you. Just off off, Are you kidding?

Speaker 3 (01:39:35):
I heard what she said? Wow on surf the Web
you can find it again if I were.

Speaker 4 (01:39:41):
You, Oh Man, fly down here and just smack him.
I mean, that's you know.

Speaker 3 (01:39:46):
Do you know I've known her. I've known her for
fifteen years of this show. Okay, okay, way before we
brought your sorry co host. But we're friends now, sir,
Yeah whatever, Mane, I'm feel a lot more friendly with
her than you are.

Speaker 5 (01:40:02):
Eric.

Speaker 4 (01:40:02):
What does that look?

Speaker 45 (01:40:03):
Somebody that can put you in your Eric.

Speaker 3 (01:40:11):
John, I'm happy. Don't have a great weekend. Sub zero
in Atlanta for the weekend. Okay, man, Jae, we love
you to death. Thanks so much. You're a great sport.
Uh go, I guess I don't know. It's Saints if
you Derek Carr, Derek Carror, whatever, Man, I don't know
where they going. She reminds me of Joe the Raiders. Man.

(01:40:35):
She's like right now this season blah blah, it's over. Man. Yeah,
all right, Jed, thank you so very much. You're the best.
All right, See all right, So we lost our keys
report Captain Deba Is that a range he's off shore?
It's some really strong So I did see a couple
of reports of fishing in the Keys doing my show
research last night, show.

Speaker 5 (01:40:58):
You know, did you get your research find her?

Speaker 3 (01:41:00):
Absolutely? Sorry? So anyway, mahi have been going through the keys,
some nice size mahi had been boding. Still, there's some
great snapper bites down there going on as well. Grouper
bites still pretty hot, and sales are showing up occasionally
in the keys, Joe, And if you're lucky enough to
go out and do some snut fishing, the snookies are
down there in the Keys.

Speaker 7 (01:41:21):
So oh and this is just in the Turtle rest
on Monday.

Speaker 3 (01:41:24):
There you go, thank you. And right now, by the way,
grace time grant to go to the Keys is like
now because the tourists are all gone. They haven't shut
up yet, so you're gonna.

Speaker 38 (01:41:33):
Don't go too far south because they got fantasy fests
going on, so it's gonna be a mad how.

Speaker 3 (01:41:37):
Eric will be there?

Speaker 5 (01:41:37):
Well, what's wrong with that? There's nobody there, so there's
people there for sure.

Speaker 3 (01:41:42):
Eric will be there. Jill, you're addressed up for fantasy fest. Man,
you can put on your little.

Speaker 7 (01:41:46):
Speed wearing nothing but a smile.

Speaker 3 (01:41:49):
I've actually gone to that fantasy vest one time before.
She did want to flip a freak show man. No, shually.
I was with the radio station Win promotion.

Speaker 7 (01:41:57):
Yeah, okay, was it tragic?

Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
It was tragic, Yeah, thank you very much. And we
took a cruise down there. We had all these people
on the boats were all dressed up in that fantasy
fist stuff, right, and half of them.

Speaker 7 (01:42:08):
Were you know what you love that man element.

Speaker 3 (01:42:11):
Ladies had the top side.

Speaker 7 (01:42:13):
Yeah, that was tough. Yeah, thanks for keeping us abreast
of that.

Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
Thanks for giving us abreast of that.

Speaker 7 (01:42:19):
He's just so on pointed great, they were pointing to.

Speaker 3 (01:42:22):
Yeah, all right, so our guests to get back let's
get back on point. Grand Lester's are special guest today
with Burkery and Marine. And you got so many models
now out there, don't you. I mean you've got everything
from a small tiller, handheld motors.

Speaker 5 (01:42:36):
Yeah, everything, and a two and a half to six hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:42:39):
Now you gotta sell some of the smaller motors, a
little tiller. I actually have a twelve foot Boster whaler
with a forty horse murk on the back back in
the day.

Speaker 4 (01:42:46):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (01:42:46):
Yeah, they would fly, man. I kind of like that
tiller steering.

Speaker 5 (01:42:50):
They're really comfortable, and a lot of them.

Speaker 38 (01:42:51):
I mean, I'm sure everything's changed now in far as
comfort and features and stuff on these new tillers.

Speaker 5 (01:42:56):
But I don't see a whole lot of them down here.

Speaker 3 (01:42:58):
Man.

Speaker 5 (01:42:58):
I wish I wish I did. They're they're nice motors.

Speaker 38 (01:43:00):
They're easy, you know, you pick them up and go
and sure, yeah, you know they're not They're not too
common down here unless you got a dinghy or something.

Speaker 3 (01:43:05):
So so mercury marine, we have an issue, Joe, Joe
as I. We all know that with mercury, and not mercury,
but with salt water corrosion. But you guys spend a
lot of time, don't you, developing ways to battle that
corrosion issue, because motors just don't like salt.

Speaker 5 (01:43:19):
Water at all.

Speaker 38 (01:43:21):
No, no, no, And you know we have so many
different chemicals and work with so many different partners to
kind of help, you know, maintain. And that's the biggest thing,
is right. It's just the maintenance of the engine itself.
If you start it at the minute you get the engine,
you know you you shouldn't have it. You know, too
many problems. It's it's when you neglect it when they
all show up.

Speaker 3 (01:43:38):
When I saw boats to boat buyers, I tell you, guys, listen,
may do me buy a boat cover ain't number one
and number two please, Joe, As you probably know with
being a boater, run it, run it, yeah, run it.
Don't let it sit for a not gonna break run it,
run it and flush it and then flush it. Yeah.
They don't seem to get the flush thing right, like, dude,
flush your freaking motor, right, grant?

Speaker 38 (01:43:59):
Yeah, I don't, well, don't do that. I don't think
people know that fifteen minutes is the recommended time to
flush an engine.

Speaker 4 (01:44:05):
Oh wow, I didn't know.

Speaker 5 (01:44:06):
That's okay.

Speaker 9 (01:44:07):
By the way, I have never never ever flushed my
mercury outboard, but I'm also.

Speaker 7 (01:44:12):
On fresh water.

Speaker 5 (01:44:14):
Well, you're flushing it every time you use it, that's right.

Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
Yeah, Well we'll just flush that comment because I had
no bearing upon my conversation. Thank you so much. You
got a brand new mark. Why not maintain it properly? Okay?
You know what I mean. Absolutely do your hundred hour service,
which is still important as well. Yeah, every hundred hours.

Speaker 5 (01:44:33):
Right, every one hundred hours and then every three hundred hours.

Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
And he mentioned also at the show they're offering that
three plus two gold Plan warranty extension, which is a
pretty nice piece of change for that thing.

Speaker 38 (01:44:44):
Huge, huge bang for your buck. And you know, also
if you're working with a dealer, ask them about platinum coverage.
That's that's the best, top tier, top to bottom coverage
that we got.

Speaker 5 (01:44:52):
That that is worth every penny grant.

Speaker 6 (01:44:55):
What else can you do on top of everything we
just said that can help with the maintenance of your motor.

Speaker 38 (01:45:03):
If you're not if you're not mechanically inclined, and you're
not you know, one hundred percent comfortable digging into these motors,
I would recommend just reaching out to a local mercury dealer,
get a good relationship on par with them, work with them,
you know, talk with them and get it looked at
by them, and say, hey, this is this.

Speaker 5 (01:45:18):
I want to make sure everything's good. Can you just
take care of my motor for me?

Speaker 3 (01:45:21):
And I mean honestly speak it too though a joke
grit question. By the way, you know, back when you
have two strokes, you could actually an average guy could
work in those things. Barborators should work in a car,
but you can actually open up the cal I and
actually work any motor. Now they're also computerized. I wouldn't
even think about touching. I think you're not a Mercury
expert leading.

Speaker 5 (01:45:41):
That's a good point.

Speaker 38 (01:45:42):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean even with the special tools that
we got, I mean, you normal everyday guy can only
get so far on them. Plus, you know it's if
you got the warrants, you'd take it to a dealer,
you know, use the warranty and.

Speaker 3 (01:45:53):
You can actually avoid your warranty if you do the
wrong thing to it. Absolutely, don't don't do that, you
know what I mean.

Speaker 38 (01:45:59):
But we you know, we we vet our dealers and
we give them, you know, tight restrictions to play on
our rules. So you know it. It means a lot
for a for a dealership to have a Mercury dealership
awarded to them.

Speaker 3 (01:46:09):
So there you go.

Speaker 38 (01:46:10):
Give give them the business man. They work hard to
support us and to be part of our team and company,
so they deserve they deserve, you know, any any business.

Speaker 3 (01:46:19):
This guy's so good ato well, he makes us look great,
he makes us look smart. Well, so rare was here
to have. It takes a lot to do that too,
I was saying, it takes a whole lot to make
us look brilliant. Okay, thank you great for that. Yeah,
we'll take a little break, Stay by Joe, your favorite
guys coming up now, go ahead and say it. Can
I do it? You can do it? Man, Here we go.

Speaker 5 (01:46:38):
I'm scared.

best for last. It's the dream Boat Moment with Andrew Rappoport's.

Speaker 29 (01:51:23):
I'm Andrew Rappaport and this is your dream boat moment.

Speaker 3 (01:51:28):
That's pretty that's pretty good, Andrew, my friend, Good morning
to you.

Speaker 8 (01:51:32):
Good morning, gentlemen.

Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
How is everybody well? Usual? The work on this show,
gentlemen is a very loose term, but hey, we're doing okay, Ruse.
It's the big flip show coming up, which, of course
Nautical Ventures will be out there and Forest you'll be
out there Wednesday with me through Friday, that nice long
five day stretch. But before that, it's how about your
featured boat? What you got force this weekend?

Speaker 21 (01:51:55):
Eric?

Speaker 47 (01:51:55):
This week I want to represent Wendy. This is a
sweetish brand known for their excellent quality. This week we're
doing the SR twenty eight Center Council. Now, this boat
is good for you know, yacht tender, overnighting, or it's
a great day boat. It's powered by our twin Yamaha

(01:52:16):
two hundreds. But of course, Eric, we can always put
Mercury's on it as well.

Speaker 3 (01:52:20):
Oh, good night, good catch, Andrew.

Speaker 7 (01:52:22):
I think it looks better with the marks on it.

Speaker 3 (01:52:24):
Good catch, Andrew, You're always on point, man. I would
agree with that.

Speaker 10 (01:52:27):
I'm a murk guy, so.

Speaker 4 (01:52:30):
You know, great boat.

Speaker 47 (01:52:31):
Really excellent quality. Like I was saying, boat tops out
about fifty miles an hour, and you know it's really
good performance and rough conditions as well.

Speaker 10 (01:52:40):
So just overall great boat.

Speaker 3 (01:52:41):
So what makes that wouldn't be so special because there's
so many twenty eight foot boats on the market, What
makes that would stand out a little bit?

Speaker 4 (01:52:48):
I would say the fit and finishes.

Speaker 17 (01:52:50):
They're just so excellent.

Speaker 47 (01:52:52):
I mean, if you've ever been on one of these
super yachts, you're gonna have very similar finishes on this boat.

Speaker 5 (01:52:57):
And that's the most special part about it to me.

Speaker 47 (01:53:00):
So if you like quality, this is probably the boat
for you.

Speaker 3 (01:53:03):
Now, can you fish off this particular model? Is you
gotta fishing ability at all?

Speaker 4 (01:53:07):
You can fish off at any boat, Eric, I think
Joe will.

Speaker 3 (01:53:10):
Tell you that.

Speaker 9 (01:53:11):
Oh yeah, Andrew tell us about that electronic console in
front of the boat there.

Speaker 47 (01:53:15):
Looks pretty cool, the electronic console, the multifunction display. Yeah,
well so you've got that on pretty much all of
our boats. You know, it's going to be your standard
twelve inch multifunction display. You know, your your digital throttles,
you know, tons of lounge space on this boat in
the bow, you've got the convertible dyeing net that converts

(01:53:36):
into the sun bed.

Speaker 8 (01:53:38):
Just just a great day boat too.

Speaker 3 (01:53:41):
So at the boat show, are you working with the
Windy Booth of those five days?

Speaker 47 (01:53:45):
That's correct, Eric, I'll be at the Windy Booth. We'll
have this SR twenty eight CC. I'll have a forty
foot camera and a forty four SR forty four SX.
So come and see me at the Windy Booth because
I'll be there all week.

Speaker 3 (01:54:00):
And Andrew, this is no bs from one sales guy
to another. Is it not the best time for a
consumer to buy than right now? Seriously?

Speaker 8 (01:54:09):
Absolutely?

Speaker 47 (01:54:09):
And I think we've talked about this a few times recently.
There is literally no better time to buy a new
boat than right now.

Speaker 3 (01:54:16):
It's really a buyer's market, Joe, Yeah, Grant, it's a
buyer's market. The time of my boat is now.

Speaker 47 (01:54:22):
I'm Andrew Rappaport and this is your dream boat moment.

Speaker 3 (01:54:25):
Andrew, thank you so much, man. I'll see you for
five lovely days of the boat show. You brought it
strong as always. Thanks so much, brother, Thanks brother.

Speaker 4 (01:54:31):
All right, thanks guys, take care, all right, we're.

Speaker 3 (01:54:34):

It's been. I want to say again, Grant Leicester from
a Mercury Marine, thanks for being on the show with
us today. Maybe of having Almstead to be up here
with us again. You'll be at the boat show. Look
for the Mercury display, go buy the you have some
interactive stuff going on. Correct.

Speaker 5 (01:54:50):
Oh yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (01:54:51):
The biggie of course is that extra warranty are offering
at the show at the show, right, And if the
people see and they have questions about their own personal
motor and they walk up to say, Grant, are you
a weekly fisherman? I got a question about X Y
Z about motors? Would you answer those questions for him?

Speaker 5 (01:55:06):
Absolutely?

Speaker 3 (01:55:07):
Happily, happily, Joe, happily, watch goodbye, join us happily at
the show. We'd love to have you for five days
and hang out with us. Okay, well, you know I
was thinking about it.

Speaker 6 (01:55:15):
Maybe I'll come for like an hour and I'll come
hang out with you guys and uh, you know it'll
be good.

Speaker 4 (01:55:20):
I'll bring you a sandwich.

Speaker 3 (01:55:22):
