planned and I have about twenty five people over to
the house, and as you know, it's my tradition to
have all the women come about two o'clock or three
o'clock in the afternoon. And I have a massage table
set up and a part of my house, and I
also have a petties and the mannies are available. I
know women work hard to prepare Thanksgiving dinner, hopefully by

six pm on Thanksgiving night, and it's a wonderful gathering
of the cunning clan. And you know, without women, I
was born of woman, I was raised by women, I
dated women, I married a woman, and I have a
beautiful granddaughter that I love her dearly. And when I die,
I'll be cared for by women. So without women, we

men will still be savages. So I want to thank
all the women. I know it's a bit premature, but
what about eleven days away we're going to have Thanksgiving.
But I tend to think that women do about ninety
percent of the work and men eat ninety percent of
the food. So we thank women greatly for making us
less than savage, and for making my life so good.

Whenever I reflect upon I watched this one series. I
think it was on CBS Morning News. Every now and
then Ted Copple does something right. On CBS Morning News,
he had a segment about how hard it is to
be a lower middle class or a poor American without
a place to live. He had a story this morning.
Three women in the Atlanta area. One had eight children.

One might ask where are the fathers? And at some
point you have to realize how those things happen. But nonetheless,
and this woman gets up every day, works about fifty
hours a week and has eight children and has completely overwhelmed.
Another one had four kids, and another one I had
some disabilities of one type or another. So whenever I
think my cup is about three quarters full, I look

at others and say, you know what, But for the
grace of God, there goes I. This is regressing a
little bit. But you might know that when I was
twelve or thirteen years old, my alcoholic father said that's it.
Left never saw him again the rest of my life.
I left my mother and it with an eighth grade education,
not working with four children of tender years. And but

for the fact my auntie and that Arling House took
us in to her home, a mother and four kids,
and she was already living with another sister and her mother.
There was quite a crew there and we slept together
quite often. I don't know what would happen to the
Cunningham plan, so I'm sure and that Arling House is
in heaven above with my dear mom, and I thank
you for the sacrifices you made the matter lives possible.

All four kids are extremely functional. All four of us
have advanced college degrees. One has passed on the other
three are still with us. And I have thanksgiving for
these sacrifices my family has made for me. So as
you get ready for Thanksgiving, I think of the same
thing about especially the women in your home who need
special attention in that special day. Now, let's get on
to the topic du jour. As you may know, I've

been somewhat recalcitrant in getting into the Jeffrey Epstein matter.
The reason is obvious to me. It was again tonight
that Halle Jackson NBC Nightly News did another segment in
which there were five or six women appeared to be
now in their forties and fifties who had pictures in
them with every teenage girls. And I've tried to stay

away from it because it's a classic dodge and a
diversion from not covering the good things happening in the
Trump administration. And there's lots of good stuff happening with
Donald Trump administration, including the precursors of fentanyl that now
won't be coming from China. The southern borders largely is functional,
and we're working through all the government benefits that are

wrongfully given to non Americans. The world is a much
more peaceful place than it was because of Donald Trump,
and I have great confidence in his ability to lead
us on. And so when the media can't cover the
right things going on with Donald Trump, they jump into
the Jeffrey Epstein sewer and cover that story again and
again and again, and on Tuesday, all hell's going to

break loose because there's going to be dozens of not
one hundred, of victims of Jeffrey Epstein that'll be on
the steps of the Capitol with pictures of them when
they were teenage girls sexually abused and trafficked by Jeffrey
Epstein and Julane Maxwell. And I certainly believe it happened
in fact, she was convicted and he was convicted and

early in twenty eight and then of course he hung
himself before the second trial would commence. And so did
it happen, Absolutely, no question about it. But I have
many questions about why is it being covered? In twenty
twenty five, we had four long years of the Joe
Biden Kamala Harris administration. They had access to in possession

of all the emails that the media once distributed today
and did nothing with them for four years. You cannot
tell me that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and James
Coney Comy and Mary Garland if there was something negative
about Donald Trump, would they have made that public?

It was well known, it was out there, and they
had the same access to the FBI files to doj
files on the Epstein files as Donald Trump has now
and did nothing with them for four years. It's kind
of like the dog that doesn't bark? Why didn't If
there's if there's inculplatory information about Donald Trump in those

files in possession of Mary Garland and James Comy and
Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, why'm were't they is closed,
one might say, because there isn't. I'll line up on
one side of the fence, those who say that Donald
Trump did not engage in sexual misconduct with teenage girls,
and the Jeffrey Epstein matter. I can line it up
from here to Tim Buck too, but it doesn't make

any difference to the media. One of the classic moments
tonight on NBC night inl the News with Halle Jackson.
I'll point out first of all that it's a criminal
defense attorney. I've represented many rapists who have raped women
and sexual assaults, maybe ten to fifteen trials over my career.
They're always sick and demented, but they need representation, damn it.
I provided it. So I get that women often don't

want to talk about these things because it is painful,
it's personal, and they hate it and it colors them
for the rest of their life. I understand that. So
Halle Jackson tonight, the main correspondent on Sundays NBC Nightly News,
had four or five present and they talked had pictures
of them when they were teenage girls, which I thought

was very poignant, and I can only imagine the difficulties
they've gone through in their life. And if you check
the NBC Nightly News website, which I have right here,
their names are President Epstein's survivors, et cetera. They're brave
women in their thirties, forties, and fifties, and many times.
These events started as early as nineteen ninety six with

a woman named Farmer, and she's still with us, thank god.
So she's approximately fifty years old, I would think, and
she claimed in nineteen ninety six that Jeffrey Epstein raped her,
and her story is quite believable. And she went to
the NYPD Sex Crimes Unit, and by the middle nineteen
nineties it was a well established unit. It was accepted

as a real thing. Maybe in the forties and fifties
and sixties it wasn't, but today it is. And after
a thorough investigation, NYPD decided not to follow criminal charges
against Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
In his mind, he got away with it.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
I'm not saying it happen or didn't happen, but no
criminal charges were filed. And the woman went on with
those lot, went on with her life, and she does
interviews right now. And this continued, I think from that
nineteen ninety six all the way through twenty nineteen before
he was arrested. Before Jeffrey Epstein was arrested, in fact,
a little side note, there was a Democratic female congresswoman,

shall I say, texting with Jeffrey Epstein before he was
killed himself. Epstein was suggesting questions to the Democrat interviewing
someone about the Epstein matter during a congressional hearing, which
is kind of sick, and said would you agree? So
since since this thing erupted in twenty oh six, seven
twenty eight in Miami Dade, there was women and men

that came forward to say Jeffrey Epstein was conducting some
sort of sex trafficking operation as affront, and that he
would provide two certain individuals young women in a sick
fashion to satisfy their sexual desires and sexual predilections. One
of them, of course, was the most noted one that

we have today is Virginia Geffrey, and she killed herself
about six months ago in Australia. And so Virginia Giuffrey
was sexually abused as a child, ended up on the street,
was an attractive woman that somehow made herself to a
modeling agency and somehow worked away because of Maxwell to

(10:34):
become a Chaws, a massage therapist for Jeffrey Epstein, and
so she was there for about two and a half years.
And from that there was a thorough investigation twenty six,
twenty seven, twenty eight eight, and of course Epstein had
access to the finest lawyer's money can buy, and an
odd twist and turn, the Feds, after a lengthy investigation,

many emails, many reports, its, many files, decided to let
the state authorities proceed, which is quite unusual. And state
authorities proceeded. He pled guilty to some offenses and received
about eight months in the county jail, but he got
work release almost immediately. So in the morning he would
report back to his mansions in West Palm Beach. Then

(11:20):
at night he'd report back to the jail. Most of
the time, some days he didn't. So from that two
year investigation we have reams of paper reports, emails, documents,
text messaging, grand jury materials that the Donald Trump administration
urged the judge to release, by the way, and the

(11:42):
judge said no. This is going back about a year,
and so we have reams of information thoroughly investigating Jeffrey
Epstein in twenty six twenty seven and twenty oh eight,
and there were many lawsuits filed subsequent to that in
which class action lawyers, and you know, class action law
players can be very direct, and they wanted to sue

(12:02):
everybody with a pocket, so they sued Jeffrey Epstein. They
sued banks, they sued insurance companies, They sued everyone they
could find who was involved in this thing directly indirectly,
including Prince Andrew, who down the road settled the case
for about twelve million dollars to get his name out
of the mix, but that didn't work either. According to
the women interviewed tonight by Hallie Jackson NBC Nightly News,

one woman said there's as many as one thousand female
victims of Jeffrey Epstein a thousand. Some have said one hundred,
some have said five hundred, whatever number it is, one
is way too many. But obviously there were at least
one hundred, maybe as many as a thousand of the
sexual operation. Media reports there was also videotaping of incidents
in which Jeffrey Epstein could use that as extortion against

others to get them to do what he wants to
have done, and the FBI rated to Island at some
point took his of tons of information out of Lolita
Island with all kinds of records and hard drives, etc.

What's become of that?

Nobody knows at this point, as wesider. In twenty twenty five,
there have been dozens, if not more than one hundred
class action lawsuits filed against New York banks, new York
brokerage firms that Jeffrey Epstein did, business, insurance companies, individuals
all over the place who allegedly were involved in this,

and as a consequence, almost every case has been settled.
And the number of people involved in the class action lawsuits,
many of which are still penning by the way, involved lawyers,
administrative assistants, paralegals, and clerks, also court personnel of every description.
So the number of people that have all the documents,

(13:48):
all the information going back twenty years of federal and
state and county investigations. About twenty thousand emails were released
about four or five days ago, which, according to the
testimony of these women, is the tip of the iceberg.
There's more than a one hundred thousand, one hundred thousand emails,
text messages, documents, gigabytes, maybe one hundred thousand documents might

have three to four hundred thousand pages of information.

So today tonight I watched.

The NBC Night Lows about six thirty pm on WLWT
in Cincinnati, NBC affiliate, and I'm waiting for Halle Jackson
to ask the question, who sexually abused you? Give me
names of men that you were traffic two, the rich
and the famous, billionaires, politicians, bankers, the rich and the famous.

The names are out there. Founders of Microsoft, big time lawyers,
members of the Clinton administration, Bill Clinton himself. I'm waiting
for someone to ask the question. Halle Jackson asked the question.
Here you sit six women who are now in the
the thirties and forties, and who raped you? Give me

the name? The question was an asked. In fact, I
can't watch everything and see everything simultaneously. I go to Wikipedia,
which I trust about half the time, and as some
names that people like Bill richardson there and Bill Gates
there and Bill Clinton there, et cetera. But we'd talk
about we'd have to talk about hundreds or a couple
thousand men over a thirty year period who were had

these girls trafficked to them, committing serious crimes against teenage
girls and even adult women if they're trafficked or whatever,
that's also a serious fello. And the human trafficking happens
when you're eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty five, fifteen, sixteen. It's
much worse, is it. Why isn't it asked of the

women who committed these crimes against you? And obviously, if
the Adam Shifts and the Jamie Raskins of this world
know who they are, and they imply, yes, we know
who they are, they also know that as a member
of Congress, these guys can go directly to the will

of the House, within their official duties and say whatever
they want to say about who raped these women and
why they were raped, and nothing can come of that,
and the no defamation or whatever, because the Speech and
Debate Clause of the United States Constitution gives each member
of Congress absolute immunity from legal consequences for anything and

everything they say on the floor of their respective chambers.
So if they have information as to the men that
did this, and I want to know their names from
classified to completely defamatory, they can read it out loud,
speak of it without an illegal replication repercussions at all.
For them on the floor. Why has that not happened?
I'm waiting anyone give me an answer on that one.

Who are they, what did they do? When did it happen?
How many times did it occur? And the answer is
we get nothing. Zero immunity is available to these Trump
hating democrats from AOC to Jamie Raskin, just get give
me the name. They can go on the floor of

the House or Senate and speak until their hearts content.
And if the victims, so to speak, do not want
to do it for fear of repercussions from the billionaires. Okay,
but the members of Congress knows they could announce the
names have complete absolute immunity by the US Constitution. Why

NBC News goes after him with hooks and claws, as
as ABC and CBS. The NBC News story says, among
the following about this matter, the President's name appeared frequently
in the emails, but Jeffrey Epstein did not in these
files accuse him of any wrongdoing or illegal activity. Can

Let me try this to you again. The President's name

Now is that the object of the media coverage? How

him being used? The term used by one of their
anchors a pedophile, for which she quickly apologized for say
it again. According to NBC News, Donald Trump was not
accused by Jeffrey Epstein of any wrongdoing or legal activity.

talking about wrongdoing. So we have lineup on my side.

crimes or criminals, they'd be known already. And if Gallaine
Maxwell had the goods on anyone, especially Donald Trump, who

this again, Jeffrey Epstein did not accuse Donald Trump of

on the subject. She did not name names, but she
specifically said that Donald Trump was a gentleman every time
she saw him, and Geffrey that the main victim here,
said donald Trump did nothing wrong.

Come forward to say that I was trafficked to Donald
Trump as a teenage girl. How many out of the
one thousand, According to one guest this afternoon on NBC
Nightly News, none of the victims identified Donald Trump. Do
you believe the victims that none of the victims accused
Donald Trump? And do you believe them? I believe victims

the great majority of the time.

No, But I say, very few victims of rape or
sexual assault when to publicized the fact of what happened.
But the victims are unanimous and saying we got nothing

over two and a half year period, said Donald Trump
didn't do anything. We have Gallaine Maxwell, who said if
I had information about Donald Trump, I wouldn't be sitting
in jail for twenty years. She's already done five years.
We have in addition to this, we have all the
lawyers and all the pair of legals and all the
administrative assistants in all the class action lawsuits. There's been

dozens filed through discovery of cross examining victims and witnesses
and doctors and cops and emergency rooms. Not one lawyer,
many of whom hate Donald Trump, have come forward to say, well,
I can put the hat on.

Donald Trump said he did it.

Not one throw on top of that, all the administrative assistants,
all the pair of legals none, and all the grand
jury testimony none on my side of the table. I
think NBC News said it tonight. The president's name, although
frequently mentioned in emails by Jeffrey Epstein, did not accuse

him of any wrongdoing or illegal activity. Like a tenfold
beacon of the night. There it is, So what can
come out on Tuesday? I have no idea. Another thing,
what isn't Donald Trump, which he said at one point,
continue to say release everything. He tried to get the
federal judge in Miami Dade County to release it, and

he said no, what is it? Well, it is grand
jury testimony generally not released. You have all the county
and police prosecutors in New York City, West Palm, Miami
Dade that their records generally are not released. But what
is released or all the emails from the estate of
Jeffrey Epstein and gleaned through the dozens of lawsuits of

all the information in the Department of Justice, and the
Democrats in the in the Department of Justice, certainly for
four years, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and James Comy
not exactly a fan of Donald Trump's, and Mary Garland
had all this information and released none of it. So
is there something in there against Donald Trump accusing him

by a victim or a knowing person of a wrongdoing
actor or legal act. The answer is no, it doesn't exist.
So once you remove the emotion and getting Donald Trump,
it appears at this point there's no there there. It
has done to smear Donald Trump without facts. Do you

believe the victims? I generally do. Do you believe Virginia Jeffrey, Yes,
you wrote a book about it. Donald Trump didn't do it.
Do you believe Ghlaine Maxwell, who said he was a
complete gentleman, or Jeffrey Epstein, who accused Donald Trump of
no wrongdoing? All the lawyers, the paralegals, the judges, all
of whom, all the lawsuits for twenty thirty years, all

the information, one hundred thousand documents, several gigabytes, five hundred
thousand pages, Donald Trump's names in it, but not accusing
him or any wrongdoing. So what in the hell are
we talking about? It is unbelievable unless you have a
bad case of Trump Derangement syndrome TDS. Have you got
that no piece of evidence or truth? Well, dare dislodge

the idea? You must get Donald Trump by any means necessary.
So I want to get your feeling on this. What
is behind this? Why is this happening now? Tuesday? The
rest of this week, the media is going to be
going nuts, And every time anyone brings it up. I
want to hear victims say who raped them? Who committed

sexual assaults on them? If you were trafficked to someone,
give me the name of the man who sexually abused you.
Who is that person, and then it's able to be investigated.
The only name has come up so far as Prince Andrew.
He's been defrocked and the Crown paid twelve million dollars
to Virginia Duffrey, And certainly I believe that's consciousness of guilt.

in pocket Line by Jeffrey Epstein after they knew or
should have known, he was a pervert. So Katie Corek,
according to media accounts, and George Slappinopolis was wind and
dined in the Epstein mansion after he got out of
Miami Dade and went back to New York let's go

is kept there except during a trial. The grand jury
transcript that we be released to impeach a witness, but
that doesn't apply in this case. But I don't know
if it's a thousand girls, one said tonight there was
a thousand girls, well who are they and what do

them don't want their name published. They don't want to
go through it again. But those who put their names

out there, and our national media tours and our plaintiffs
and class action lawsuits have waived their right to privacy
because of their voluntary behavior, those are the ones that

So instead of the mayor f to a peer of
all getting eighty two percent of the vote, which he
got four years ago with all these scandals going on,

to the judge to allow her to be with the
bodyguard and because he's under indictment too, and they said no,

they can get bailed out by the State of Louisiana.

oversight but not an administrator. Will the state give the money.
We'll find out tomorrow. So bottom line is New Orleans
has got a prison it is run by the federal
government under a federal consent decree. We've got a police
apartment that's run by the federal government under a federal

much run by the State of Louisiana. So really, the
city of New Orleans at some point man will be
really running nothing.

Well, the city of Cincinnati can't figure it out because

is all angry about LSU. Maybe the guy who negotiated

appeared to be equally competent.

guess they had to pay him seventy three million. Scott

You also talk about the inflation rate, which is three
point zero two percent to the nine percent inflation of

We're getting tariff income to walk down the deficit. We
have inflation at three percent instead of nine percent. We

have the Southern border is shut down. We have military
enlistments or way up. People want to join the military,
they want to join ICE, they want to enforce the
law right. In fact, all the objective measurements of what
is everything that should be up is up. Everything that
should be down is down. However, the media reports lies
and fabrications because the truth is dangerous to the Democrats.

And so if you watch the media, you think these
are the worst at times. Economically they're the best at times.

watching one of the morning talk shows, Keem Jeffers is
saying they have another bite at the apple in about
ten weeks. January thirtieth is not that far away, and
he says there might be another government shutdown happening, which
is utterly ridiculous. Putting money into a failed system, a

failed government program, doubling down on stupid is often what
Democrats and what many in Washington do. Some are fighting
against it. Katie Talento is the executive director of Alliance
of Healthcare sharing. And first of all, Katie Talento, tell
us you give me generally in the American people the
status of health care in America today. Volumes have been

written on that topic. But about out on ninety three
percent of us get either our health insurance from Medicare,
Medicaid from private plans through employers or veterans or whatever.
It might be about seven percent through the Obamacare exchanges,
which have failed miserably. So since you're in the industry,
what is happening to us healthcare system in America in
general and the response to it by.

Government, Well, it's not a good situation, Bill, Thanks for
having me. Yeah, I think the affordability crisis is hitting everybody,
and so you know, premiums are up double digits this
year for everyone. Even federal employee has got a twelve
percent rate hike, so you know, they get no love
for having been put out of work for you know,

(01:36:47):
twenty seven weeks, but they have to now pay more
for their insurance too, so at least they're suffering with
the rest of us. I do think that this is
going to become a campaign issue unfortunately, and Republics are
usually in trouble when healthcare becomes a campaign issue. You know,
I was a veteran of the White House when we
were doing repeal and replaced back in the day, and

I can tell you it's going to take longer than
you know, five weeks for us to negotiate some sort
of master plan here. So I think that if the
Democrats want to have another shutdown, they will do that
at their political peril. But you know, that may not
be the best thing for the American people at this point.

I've done many topics the last few days weeks on
the failure of Obamacare, in which is government subsidizing and
billions of dollars that might be forty to fifty billion
a year.

That Washington sends directly to insurance companies under a promise
to hold down premiums and to the to the seven
twenty three million people on Obamacare. Why did Obamacare fail?

So the promise to hold down premiums has not really
been tested. Obviously, the premiums have skyrocketed. They've more than
tripled since.

Speaker 19 (01:37:59):
Twenty when the bill was first enacted.

Speaker 18 (01:38:02):
However, affordability is sort of addressed by Obamacare because they
just subsidize your overpriced premiums. And so the vast majority
of people who are buying their plans on the Obamacare
exchanges are getting premium subsidies, so their premiums are either
free or they are largely subsidized. And that is truly
the only way that you can keep anyone who is

(01:38:23):
younger or healthier, or who is not sort of already sick,
from fleeing this market where it's so unaffordable that they
don't see the value of it. But they need to
have all these younger healthy people in the insurance pool,
or the insurers do, or else it'll go into what
we call in the insurance business the death spiral, where
it's just sicker and older and sicker and older people

(01:38:46):
every year, and then the premiums go up, and then
a few are younger healthy people leave because they can't
afford it anymore, and then it's older and sicker, and
so this get you get into the spiral, and that's
that's the.

Speaker 19 (01:38:56):
Death of an insurance product. So they have to force
people to stay in the pool, and that's why it's failing.

Speaker 18 (01:39:04):
It was never a good value for young healthy people
when you're requiring these policies to cover everything from abortion
and trans surgeries to maternity writers for men, and you know,
preventive cap smears for men. You know, like this, this
is too much. It's too much insurance coverage for what
most people need, and it's not enough insurance coverage for

(01:39:26):
the people who do need it because the deductibles.

Speaker 19 (01:39:28):
Are so high they can't even afford to use their
plan when they when they do need it. So it's
an absolute failure.

Speaker 18 (01:39:34):
I do think that there are promising alternatives out there,
like health care sharing ministries, like health savings accounts, like
direct primary Care, which is sort of a Netflix subscription
for unlimited primary care, and people are fleeing to these
better alternatives that feel more human and feel more rational.

Meeting their needs.

Speaker 4 (01:39:53):
Funding of failure is what Washington does, which is why
Democrats want Obamacare to be funded. I spoke to twenty
eight year old who called in a couple a week
or two ago, and this guy says, look, I was
in Obamacare for like two years. I got out because
I never I never used it, I never went to
the er, I never I had a primary care physician,
but I didn't feel a need to go. It was

costing me seven hundred dollars a month, and I'm thinking,
why am.

I doing it?

Speaker 4 (01:40:17):
I got rid of it. Plus, he said to me, Look,
isn't it true? He called me Uncle Bill. Isn't it true,
Uncle Bill, that if I have something bad happens to me,
I can go to the er anyway and get care
at the er, and if I can't pay for it,
I can't pay for it. So why have insurance if
I get the product anyway for nothing? How do you
respond to him?

Speaker 19 (01:40:37):
He's exactly right, He's making completely rational choices.

Speaker 18 (01:40:41):
You can go to the er and they are required
to treat you regardless of your coverage. Now, you might
end up with a really horrific build being said to you,
you might end up in collections over it, but at
least you will be treated in that moment if you're
having a life threatening issue. I totally sympathize with your
caller because he's the exact reason why Obama Care.

Speaker 19 (01:41:00):
Is failing young healthy people.

Speaker 18 (01:41:02):
They just see no value in this product, so why
would they stay? And so you're left with only healthy, unhealthy,
expensive people, driving up premiums so that it happens even
worse next year that's why this whole project has failed,
and that's why we've got to seek alternatives.

I was so encouraged by President.

Trump tweeting, or rather truthing out in the past couple
of weeks about let's just stop putting money in insurers pocket.

And let's actually put it in health saving.

Accounts for people so they can go buy what they want.

Great idea, but a King Jeffries and the Democrats don't
want any part of that because it puts the person
in charge, not big time health insurers who pay them
huge amounts of money and campaign. I think the average
America done understand that about how much money every year
goes from the US Treasury to big time health insurers
in order to knock down the premiums of individuals who

may not use the product at all. How much money
is the taxpayer funding healthcare insurance companies?

Well, if you're United Healthcare, are you in the business

Are you in the business and making sure that you're insured,
have great healthcare at low cost, or are you in
the business of making money?

Companies we call them the Bukah's Blue Cross United Signa
at ninety man a Buka and these these giant companies,
nobody had ever heard of some of them, you know,

Their stockholders are loving it, living it up, and their
CEOs are living off.

They're billionaires.

And you know, meanwhile, United Healthcare is denying a third
of every claim that comes to them. And most people
think of their insurer like.

The cable company. They hate them.

And so this is a product that nobody really wants
to pay for because they don't.

See the value in it.

And when they really need it, when they really need it,

Use, aren't the insurance companies because they're a for profit
business in the business of denying claims and having high deductibilities.

If Republicans don't agree to this want you want people
to be sick and die in hospitals, You don't want

millions of dollars in campaign donations from insurance companies, and

And that's what we're seeing over and over again.

You also say in this column you believe that the
recent US government shutdown that ended after forty three days
result of from protecting lucrative political donations from big healthcare

we're funding them and they're in the business of screwing

they are in the business of making money and profiting

So the Democrats said, look, we're not going to pay
the soldiers, We're going to make TSC agents sleep in

And I think the American people bought it because politically,
most of the polls now indicate this weekend that Republicans
are blamed for the shutdown and not Democrats. So when

Republicans voted to open the government and Democrats voted to
close the government, the American people believe that the Republicans
closed the government and the Democrats wanted to open the government,
when in reality, the Republicans wanted to open the government
and the Democrats wanted to close the government. You know
what I'm saying. Democratically, the Democratic Party won.

I mean, they're in.

A civil war right now over. You know, they're eight
traders who actually.

think Democrats that actually are in any kind of political peril,

And lastly, for those of us who receive healthcare from
our employer, I work for a large company, and it
takes a degree in Chinese calculus to figure out all
the plans and the deductibilities, and do you want this rider?
Do you want that rider? Do you want prescriptive care?
Do you want not wanted? Do you want maternity care?
I don't need that very much. Do I need transgender care?

Which I don't think, God hope I never need that.
And so I leave with my wife to decide what
do we do. And according to polling, the majority of
employee or employee based plans are popular with employees, which
is about one hundred and fifty some million people. But
still the cost keeps going up. If you're on Medicare
Medicaid generally you pay little or nothing. Anyway, you don't

have a dog in the fight. So can you tell
me get out your crystal ball, Katie Talento? How does
this issue resolve itself without a complete collapse of our
medical system?

How do we resolve it?

Speaker 19 (01:48:14):
Well, I don't know that we're going to resolve that. Again,
I'm very nervous.

I'm very nervous that we're going to end up with
single payer at some point because it is not a
sustainable trajectory. And you're exactly right that those who are
bearing the largest cost of this are wage earners at
big employers who are actually paying for most healthcare in
this country. You're right half those country is insured on

a job. And those companies, you know, they have some
other core mission that's not running a health plan, but
they're now in the health insurance business and that business
is absolutely spiraling. And so it's a huge crisis for
every company. And so if we don't get this under control,
I fear very much it will be the business community
that pressures Congress to have a come flee government takeover

(01:49:01):
of healthcare.

Speaker 4 (01:49:01):
Lastly, explain single payer. I have a pretty good grasp
of what it is that everyone under medicare. Explain to
the average Americans what is single payer, how would it work,
and why is it a bad idea?

Speaker 18 (01:49:16):
Yeah, so, single payer is what every other country in
the world, literally every other country in the world, has
decided to do about healthcare, where the government actually pays
for healthcare, and they do it in different ways.

Speaker 19 (01:49:26):
In some countries like Israel.

Speaker 18 (01:49:28):
And Germany, they basically do it like an Obamacare on steroids,
where it's all filter through insurance companies which are just
agents of the state. But at least you pick an
insurance plan like Medicare Advantage for instance. But other countries
like the UK or like Canada, you know, they just.

Have the government.

Speaker 18 (01:49:46):
You just walk into the government clinic and the government
hospital and there are no insurance companies. And the reason
why this is a problem, and I mean again like
there are trade offs, right for some services like primary care,
it's a much better experience and it's more sane in
these countries where you have easy and free and unlimited
access to primary care and preventive care. But what happens

(01:50:08):
in these situations is when it comes times that you
need specialty care, there is rationing and long lines, and
you don't get the best technology, and you don't get
the timely treatment, and cancer patients are waiting, and people
with you know who need knee replacements are waiting for years.
There are people who die on the wait list for
their knee replacement. So it's just it's not a good situation,

(01:50:30):
and America has chosen a different path. I hope that
we figure a way out of this. There are some
innovative and creative ideas out there, like health care sharing ministries,
like health savings accounts for everyone. I think that might
help as we As you know, President Trump actually implemented
when I was there, price Transparency initiative, forcing hospitals and
insures to post their secret prices publicly in an effort

(01:50:53):
to try to create a health care market. What we
have right now is either free nor market in healthcare.
So to the extent so we can force an actual
christ competition in health care, we might just be able
to pull this thing off, but it's going to take
a miracle from God.

quantity from the United States. They don't stick in Canada

because to get a knee replacement or they have cancer
treatment is taking months. You'll die on the list before
it's replaced. And if someone needs a knee replacement in America,
